Finally watched the bachelorette finale.. why am i shocked that the Pete Davidson lookalike love bombed her n then broke up with her 🙃 so many issies with this season:

- why did they only have 2 asian men the whole season? 1 being more worried about the male drama then the relationship he had with her

- the Jack lookalike having the audacity to mention Maria then Devin started following her right afte he broke up with Jenn 😒 we get it, sum of yall wanted Maria. For sum of the contestants to mention a white contestant when yr a whole LEAD of a franchise, disrespextful af. And even more awkward cuz i dnt think Jenn n Maria are even friends anymore. And even if Maria was the lead i still think a lot of these men wuldv fucked it up with her

-The whole Devin situation... was he acting the whole time? So sad

-They shuldve given Jenn a choice to watch the proposal and made Devin watch it. She said "do i have a choice?" and no, she didnt. How sadistic of the producers.

-Nt Jenn related bt the way they annouced Grant was the lead was lame. Shuldv been announced live where we can hear ppl cheer for him instead of it being in a prerecorded video.

I clocked Devin early on. I never liked him for Jenn. I was starting to warm up to him towards the end, only because he seemed like he was so into Jenn, which was smthg that was refreshing compared to indecisive Marcus 🙄. But still, he wasn't my first pick. And sure enough, my gut was right! Always go with your gut ladies!! It almost never fails you. My top two picks were Grant and Jonathan. Why Jenn chose such homely-looking, and indecisive men when she had both fiiiine Jonathan and Grant (who were seriously into her btw) standing RIGHT THERE is totally beyond me. 😒

I agree. They should have aired the proposal and the show the whole way through, and THEN brought Jenn out to explain what happened AFTER the show ended. The way they just kept her on stage and had the camera on her the entire time while she's crying and re-living her pain on air, LIVE, for all of America to see, was just sadistic and very low of ABC. 😠 That was uncalled for.

I thought his phone call to his mom was cute 🥰, but I agree, I would have preferred to have heard the live reaction from the audience. But hey, they said they already had the most applicants for a bachelor ever soooo rofl 🤣 😂

oh my god I hate to think you thought people weren't LOVING lmr chapter 4! seems like there really was a universal lag in people not seeing the update, myself included. maybe more of your followers like football than u thought...

i didn't know there was any football stuff going on lol. i know there Are A Lot Of Sports Fans in the world in general but my vibe of the catradora fandom is that our football-viewer percentage is lower than average, unless you're talking about women's soccer 😂 i also think it was influenced by the archive having issues that day (partially down) since i had at least two people tell me they never got an email. I also didn't really mention i posted it on here - which i don't always do for fics, but i had been doing for the previous the chapters. i usually only mention it if im posting something or answering an ask anyway and can tack it on without like, having to make a Whole Post dedicated to it (this is a theme that will return later in this post)

normally when i do fic notes, i include a "what's next" section, but i left it off this time because im not sure, actually! i was initially planning (like, back a month ago when i first started writing) to do an au next but it would be a Lot and my interest is swaying towards canon rn so i thiiiiink it will be some OotW fics since i have a few wips for that and one In Particular that i need to figure out if its a one shot, or multichapter fic, or like two or three fics in a miniseries. i have like a dozen wips rn so its really hard to say.

i actually only realized i was posting on valentines day like two hours ago when i was given someone's milk chocolate haul since they only like dark chocolate lol. honestly im a bad person to ask this because im not one for dates or gifts or any of the stuff valentines is based on. i dont like Special things i just like the little everyday stuff, so valentines seems like a chore to me and its hard to come up with stuff for it. it also depends if you're talking like, in a modern au or for the etherian equivalent of valentines day. my vague answer is just they take it as an excuse to spend an entire day together since they love being around each other, or they go on a fun little adventure they havent found the time for yet. i can see them doing stuff with glimbow "double date" style too.

the answer is both! i go days without messages sometimes (which works for me because i like talking to yall but it also takes energy) and then other times i get a bunch at once. messages naturally gather around talking points (specific posts, fic uploads) so like, ive checked my asks twice tonight and had a decent number of asks both times, but when i posted chapter three i waited a few hours to gather some asks before replying since i knew they would be trickling in for the evening as people read the update.

it's also taken me two hours just to type out the replies in this post (which might give context to my "asks take energy" thing) so during that time more messages can come in and be answered in the same post as long as i remember to check right before i go to post it.

i like putting them all in one post just because it makes my blog and the dashboard experience Neater so i do it when reasonable, but i dont usually wait more than a few hours for the purpose of collection, if i do at all. it also lets me reply to and acknowledge some messages even when i dont have anything to say to them directly (like, i didnt have a reply to that ahhhh anon on its own, but it made me laugh so i wanted to post it, and by putting it in a larger group i can do that).

oh thank you! i feel like its something im actually terrible at since i do have a tendency to ignore/delete messages when im not up to talking (in general, or just dont have anything to say on the topic/in response). i do really love my comments and message tho so thank you to everyone who leaves them! i hope the blanket thank-yous are enough because usually they're the best ive got lol

idk i feel like never figured out the social interaction of thanking people (even/especially irl), so it makes me not reply to comments much because i feel like the best i can do is a canned, one-sentence "thank you!" response (and, of course, that still takes energy as mentioned with spoons, which doesn't feel worth what it "gives back" you know).

actually, ive talked about this for so long, so let me just take a temperature and i can gather responses (or post replies, those are great too!) for a bit: 1) are comments sections usually just [thoughtful comment]["thanks!"] and im otherthinking this because i havent read other author's comment sections, 2) do you Care if an author replies to your comment or not, at least when it's not a question (like, does it influence your decision to leave one if you think they won't reply. i personally don't care at all which is probably where part of my whole thing comes from), and 3) if it does influence you, does a simple "thanks!" really add anything to your decision. im almost certainly not going to change my approach because it's what im comfortable with, but i would like to know if im expending an unwarranted amount of mental effort on this XD

So.. Honestly I wasn't even gonna make this post cause Hazbin criticism has overwhelmed me to the point I'm actually numb to it and can't find myself to care anymore and just pass it off as someone's hot take that I don't agree with but they do indeed have the right to say it so I just respect it and take my leave.

But the couple criticisms I cant wrap my head around, are the ones surrounding Vaggie.

So I wanna go through two of those criticisms and just give my two cents. While also trying to be as unbiased as possible.

Vaggie may be my favorite character but majority of what I'm saying will come from what I've seen from comics or the Pilot and kinda squash that in with my own opinion and theories aswell.

Starting off with Vaggie being a stereotype:

Yeah I gotta be honest I don't see it man. People say she's a stereotype for both lesbians and Latinas but I just don't see it. They say Lesbian stereotype because her name is "Vaggie" which sounds like Vagina (apparently💀) and Lesbians like...Vagi-.

and Angel Dust mentioned that and made a joke about it in the comics which brought even more attention and anger. Which I think it's just a misunderstanding but people being mad about it is valid.

But I think it's a misunderstanding because I don't think Vaggies name has anything to do with the fact that she's lesbian at all. Had it been so.. why would her name still be Vaggie since BEFORE she was confirmed Lesbian? Vaggie still had that name even in the comics where her and Angel Dust were still a couple and before she was written to have any involvement with Charlie at all as a couple, friend or even acquaintance.

Not too mention that, (And I think a lot of people either forgot this, didnt care to search it up or just did not know in general). But Vaggie is not her full name. Her full real first name is Vagatha. Which honestly doesn't even sound like vagina anymore. It's literally just Agatha, but with a "V" and Agatha is a real name that people have had before. And most likely still carries on somewhere in the world. In fact a very famous writer is called Agatha Christie. I think Vivzie got inspiration for Vagatha off of her or Agatha Harkness, the witch from the Marvel comics. Agatha also means "Good women" in Greek so I mean there's that aswell cause as we've seen, out of the whole cast, except for Charlie of course, Vaggie is definitely the more down to earth demon.

who knows man. But yeah I really doubt she just got the name just off of the simple concept of Vaggie being a Lesbian. My theory is that something happened in her family or her past in general where they cut her name down to Vaggie instead of her full name. But that's just my theory.

Anyways time for the Latina stereotype claim:

Appearently people think Vaggie is this always angry edgy stereotype of a latina.

And to that I have to say....

Let's see.

1. Tells Charlie not to sing and she sings anyway.

2.Angel Dust fucking bails on them when they needed him most and leaves them to make a fool of themselves on the news.

3. The entire news audience literally makes fun of the person she loves (that' being Charlie) and her idea and one of them literally throws hands with Charlie.

4. She has a whole limo ride back to the hotel with Angel Dust who doesn't even give one damn that he did wrong on his word to be there in Support of the hotel.

5. ALASTOR

6. There Being a literal bar In a place where sins are discouraged and Charlie and Vagatha most likely are trying to help people sober up if they had any drug addictions. Which I'M PRETTY FUCKING SURE THEY DO.

(Btw I love Alastor. He's a great character, and an asexual icon such as myself😌. But I gotta admit, it's funny this man literally mistreated Vaggie in majority of the scenes they shared and nobody said nor mentioned anything about it, but some people were so quick to call Vaggie a toxic partner when she pushed Charlie's face away in the comics because of... Oh.. Idk... PERSONAL SPACE BRUH! You know even couples are entitled to their privacy. That shouldn't come as a shock but....I guess it does. )

I mean do I really have to explain why Vaggie being a stereotype of an edgy angry Latina just doesn't fit? I would hope not but screw it.

Well first because Vaggie is Salvadoran which actually makes her Hispanic, not Latina. 💀 I Mean Hispanic stereotypes do exist don't get me wrong but I still just don't see it fit in this case.

It doesn't fit because Vaggie is reasonably understandably angry in every scene. Literally every scene! When she's angry you can clearly see the way she's being treated aswell in that scene and it's always like shit!

I think its the tone of these scenes that make people just kind of skip over them, cause they were played out so well into this looney toon slapstick type character comedy to disguise the abuse and absolute mistreatment of Vaggie towards majority of her pilot screentime.

However I will admit that Vaggie does indeed have anger issues that she needs to work on. That most likely being one of her main character flaws that we might see more of and explore more in the actual show. But it absolutely had nothing to do with her race, nationality or anything close to that manner. And as a Hispanic myself, I just gotta say. I'm so tired of being put in this box and the characters I relate and can see myself in being put into a box where you can't fall out of line from your race like you're not your own fucking person. It's just so... Meh and controling. 😒

I remember when people called speedy Gonzales a stereotype and they tried to get rid of him in the looney tune shows and Hispanics were Not having ANY OF IT! It was so funny to see🤣 they fucking fought for that fucking mouse and I was right there with them man. Fuck you. Speedy Gonzales is the shit and you will not take him from us. ✊🏼

Like yeah Vaggie had a stick up her ass but literally anyone would if you had to go through half the shit she went through.

And she didnt even have that stick up her ass in the beginning of the pilot either. She was actually sort of calm and collected and was just focused on helping Charlie at the news station. I mean yeah she was a bit worried but not FOAMING AT THE MOUTH WITH ANGER or edgy in the slightest.

Anyway when it comes down to it. Vaggie is the most misunderstood character in Hazbin Hotel in my opinion and I think that has to do with people's lack of interest in her and some people's huge bias hatred towards Vivzie and her work.

Either way I just want to make it perfectly clear👌

that I'm not here to tear you a new ass over your opinion. I was just giving mine with points and facts to follow it up. That's all.

Whether you continue to hate Vivizies work and believe Vaggie is a stereotype is in your own lane to do so.

Just felt like I had to say that cause the last time somone felt their opinion was attacked by me I got told to get stoned to death and or kill myself so😂.. Just avoiding the chance of that bullshit again.
