Pokemon AU

Meet the champion!

Lex was never first. Even his current title was handed to him after the previous champion, Clark Kent, left to Unova.

He managed to keep his title so far but even still, this newbie fire gym leader kept giving him trouble. It wasn't right in his opinion! He believed that he should be untouchable! No one should be able to be considered a threat or a rival tto him!

As you can see Lex is the only one so far without an eevee, and that is because he deemed eevee and all of it's evolutions weak and unworthy of his time. So he gave the neglected pokemon to his adoptive sister in the guise of a gift for not receiving one as a child. But in reality it was one of his ways to weaken her potential team in the future and to make sure she'll never be a threat.

Lex was a very strong trainer, had he continued to improve as he did when Clark was around he might've actually become almost unbeatable one day, but he didn't and even that wouldn't be enough for him.

Once he found out about the legendary pokemon Eternatus and his potential massive power he knew he had to have it on his team!

His plan was not easy, he had a lot of research about 'the darkest day's where Eternatus previously appeared before being defeated by the two heroes of the region 3000 years ago. He did what he could. Trying to keep the chairman of his back and banning any trainer who sniffed too much around but at the end, nothing was going as he planned.

(BTW had my first death in my new pokemon sword Nuzlock run. Rest in peace Dee the Corvisquire)

Still sick, so here's some more random MHA thoughts/headcanons:

 -I think people forget that the MHA universe takes place in a future current Earth. So when it comes to memes and shitposts like that, people like Endeavor or All Might wouldn't be like Boomer-in-the-dark; they would know exactly what memes and shitposts are. This also includes Gran Torino- he would know exactly what shitposts are.

-I know the world was in upheaval when quirks were first introduced but you think memes would stop? Villains with quirks be trying to take over countries and people be posting like: 

-On that note, memes in the MHA universe’s current year are probably insane. Like they are 2019 memes on steroids.

But with the same energy as:

-Present Mic probably makes REALLY outdated memes at parties. Talking memes from like 200 years ago (like: "you know I had to do it to em," WHICH YES, WOULD BE MORE THAN 200 YEARS OLD BY THEN).

-Hawks is 100% always caught up on the latest meme culture.

-Hawks probably also has several troll accounts somewhere. One of which is probably a sock account where he pretends to be someone pretending to be himself. 

-Villains probably have a sub-section of meme culture that’s more underground, they probably dwell a lot on 4chan or the modern equivalent. 

-Best Jeanist himself is probably a meme given the strange shit he tends to say and he is totally alright with that fact. 

-Shigaraki has only been exposed to video game memes and seemingly video games in general. 

-All for One could POSSIBLY be a child of late Gen Z Parents and that is strange to think about.

-Also in the same vein of strange- people in this universe know and are well educated on what furries are and when people started having animal quirk mutations back in the day- yikes. 

-Since Present Mic refers to Super Mario in the manga I would only assume that Pokemon exists in universe as well- I can imagine young heroes- before hero cards became a thing- still collecting Pokemon cards. I imagine Pokemon started to fade once All Might made his debut, so young All Might and debatably even young Endeavor would’ve collected Pokemon cards. Perhaps even Yu-gi-oh.

-This also means Magic the Gathering was a thing and is probably a really vintage game in America that people still on occasion have tournaments for.

-Present Mic and Aizawa probably played a lot of vintage video games when they were young hence why Present Mic’s brain went to Super Mario as an example. 

-Gran Torino orders off of Amazon (which is specifically said in the Manga) and he seems like the type to always make a new email to keep using Amazon Prime continuously. 

-You could argue that All Might seems a little old school and kind of dull with technology given his flip phone. But then again it would be really expensive to have to replace your smartphone every time it broke in your hero costume's pocket. It's probably cheaper and easier to just have a flip phone when something like an iPhone would keep breaking (Obviously Endeavor doesn't give a fuck and carries his smartphone).

-Class 1A probably has a class server that they just hang out on sometimes. (The same with class 1B). 

-Facebook is probably obsolete by now but people probably still like exploring the old profiles and using it as a vessel to see what a quirkless world was once like. 

-Twitter is probably still on and poppin�� though- but only a handful of current pro-heroes still have an account- most of them nuked their Twitter when they joined an agency and either remade it to keep in touch with fans or kept themselves off Twitter altogether. Either way most of them probably don’t want old childhood tweets to be found.

-Bakugou probably has very minimal social media- contrast to Mina who has ALL OF THEM. 

-UA probably hasn’t had any social media page since Endeavor was in school because students had a tendency to try and hack it. And they got too good at it.
