In the modern AU, what is everyone’s favorite food? Do they prefer sweet or savory? Can they handle spice? Do they prefer any substitutions, like, for example, alternative milks? Are they picky or are they basically a garbage disposal?
Sorry if that’s a lot of questions, I’m tired and I ramble when I’m tired, plus I love learning more about the modern AU boys❤️
never apologize for askin’ questions i LOVE talking about these guys :)
Time: Major sweet tooth, he loves sweet treats so much akskdkkd. He can handle a BIT of spice (like on a scale of 1-10 he’d tap out at 4). He’s also lactose intolerant and vegetarian, but honestly he rarely lets the lactose intolerant thing stop him. Malon is more likely to prevent him from eating something he probably shouldn’t than he is 😭 His favorite food would probably be like soup and a nice grilled cheese sandwich
Warriors: More of a savory guy, but he loves his fruity drinks and the occasional chocolates. He has a SHOCKINGLY high spice tolerance (like a 9 on a 1-10 scale), but he doesn’t often eat spicy foods. He has a pretty strict diet planned out to make sure he’s actually getting enough to keep himself healthy and running because he dances and exercises so much, so it’s not that he’s picky he’s just very specific about what he eats. He’s trying to ignore the gluten sensitivity and as the years go by it’s just. becoming ridiculously hard to do so, but he’s stopped eating AS many things with gluten in them as he used to. He’ll make somewhat of an attempt to avoid it. And his favorite food is oranges :)
Twilight: Like father like son, he loves his treats. He can handle a HELL of a lot more spice than Time tho, like a 8.5 on a 1-10 scale. He will eat literally anything you put in front of him, he’s always hungry like if theres food, he’ll eat it. His favorite food is a rice dish that Malon makes
Sky: Definitely a sweets guy, he loves his emotional support chocolate. Highest spice tolerance out of everyone, he fucking loves spicy food. He works in a coffee shop and he probably tried one of the drinks with almond milk and decided he didn’t hate it and will now sometimes use that. He’s not super picky, but he’s also the guy cooking, so he’ll eat anything because HES making it allskddl. His favorite food is a chicken and rice dish his adoptive parents made for him that he really loves
Hyrule: Sweet toothhhhhhhhh, oh my god he loves sugar. Spice would kill him immediately i fear, like a victorian boy experiencing a spicy cheeto. Not super picky, but WILL take tomatoes and onions off his burgers. He loves berries so so much, he snacks on em a lot
Legend: He prefers sweets but will deny that, he does also like savory things but he PREFERS sweets. Says he has a super high spice tolerance but this is a lie, he’ll get red in the face and be coughing saying he’s totally fine with the spice level. He definitely gets oat milk instead for his drinks he makes himself because he thinks it tastes better. Has a lot of sensory issues with food so there are a lot of things he simply can’t eat, like anything overly soft and mushy or soupy feeling, but besides that he’ll eat ANYTHING. He loves apple pie, that’s his favorite :)
Wild: Has eaten toxic things and survived. Nothing affects him. No one knows if he even LIKES eating, he just eats anything and everything he doesn’t really seem to have favorites or preferences, and Sky and Legend (who work at the coffee shop together) dont even know if the guy likes drinks because he orders a mug of ice water “for here” every time 😭 (he does really really like Sky’s favorite rice and chicken dish when Sky makes it and lets Wild come over and have some, and also strawberry smoothies!!)
Four: More of a savory guy, but he does enjoy sweet treats too. His spice tolerance is like. a 5/10 it’s incredibly average. Unfortunately for him his cooking friends love spice and he’s always dying just a little when he eats their food but it’s fine 😭 He’s not super picky but there are things he despises, like olives. His favorite food is his grandpa’s grilled chicken and he loves snacking on cashews
Wind: He LIVES on sugar, and also has a pretty high spice tolerance, like 9/10. He’s the guy complaining the “spicy” item on the menu Isn’t (outside of the restaurant ofc, in the car ride back home). He has a nut allergy so he’s gotta be careful about that, but otherwise he really will eat anything. His favorite food is his grandma’s stew :)

Some of my safe foods/meals just for myself to keep track of!
Popcorn! Air popped without any butter or salt is around 30 cals per cup! unseasoned popcorn just tastes better than popcorn with butter imo <3
Sugar free gum bc duh! I really like the watermelon flavored gums cuz they taste soso good and they fill my sweet tooth!
These low cal cookies! 50 cals each, love baking these and pairing them with black coffee <3
Cauliflower rice! 27 cals per cup, and super filling! I dont usually eat it by itself, I like to mix it with some protein or veggies!
Rice cakes bc you know the drill, 35 cals each yum yum, I usually pair plain rice cakes with greek yogurt and a few of these stevia-sweetened dark chocolate chips!
Diet Arizona Green Tea! Tbh just any diet drinks, but this ones a personal fan fav! 0 cals, as all drinks should be <3
Shirataki noodles! Tons of fiber, only 5 cals, and filling! Make sure to look up a good way to prep them! I usually boil and stir fry them before eating them!
Boiled eggs! 78 cals each, but still super good for you <3
Teas, teas, and more teas! Theres a tea for everything from metabolism speeding to sleep aid, drink some tea!
Greek Yogurt! This isn't a revelation I've figured out by myself ofc but still! 100 cals per cup, and super healthy! Plus its a great substitute in a lot of cooking!!!!
Canaloupe! 19 calories for a WHOLE wedge! A whole medium sized canaloupe is 180 cals!
Pickles! 7 cals each and suuuuper yummy imo <3 cucumbers are also a major safe food of mine I have them almost every day for a snack!
Soup!!!!! Tomato soup has around 80-100 cals for a whole bowl and its so yummy imo!!!!
Casabella peppers! (yall know those little peppers at in-n-out?) 10 cals each, literally any peppers are my favs, but my friends love to go to in-n-out together with me and I always love getting a diet coke and some casabellas to munch on <3
Chicken! Just in general! 120 for a whole chicken breast is the best thing ever <3
Almond milk! I've always been lactose sensitive so I've never genuinely had regular milk, plus almond milk is 30 cals per cup and full of calcium which is super important for hair and nails!
Miso Soup! My dad's made this stuff for me since I was a wee little kid, its just one of my favorite foods, period! When i found out it was only 50 cals per cup I was absolutely THRILLED
Healthy Choice power bowl microwaved meals. Oh my goodness absolute godsend! 170 for a whole DINNER!!!! Super filling, high protein, literally just put it in the microwave and bam omgggg its so nice to have these when I need them <3
Strawberries, Watermelon, blueberries! Oh my! <3
Low cal versions of my favorite meals! I've been experimenting with a bunch of low calorie recipes of different stuff and they've all been great! If you like cooking, it can be a great way to keep busy and keep with your goals! My favs so far are low cal pancakes, low cal tortilla wraps, low cal margarita pizza, etc!
I'll add more as I discover more! Stay safe <3

What are the best Greek foods
first of all you cant go wrong w a classic gyro or souflaki (or souflaki with pita). you can forgo the tsatsiki sauce if its too much for you tho, personally im not huge on it either
also different kinds of pitas... tiropitakia and spanakopita are really good (though theyre mostly seen as side dishes) and tiropitakia/spanakopitakia make for a really good snack.
keftedakia are also really good especially with spaghetti. or if you want soup you can get them with youvarlakia
gemista are really good as far as rice goes imo, theres something really fun about just stuffing a veggie with the rice that its insides were used to make... full circle. also its its an eggplant it may be called papoutaskia (literally "little shoes" bc it looks like shoes lol)
another soup is avgolemono, its basically just lemon chicken soup with rice. personally i love it
pastitsio is great its like if lasagna was beefier and creamier imho
stifado is a good meat stew BUT PLEASE BE WARNED sometimes its made with rabbit and not all americans are okay with that so read what you order lol
tomatokeftedes and kolokithakia are really good. its fried tomato and fried pumpkin. i really like the latter
theres plenty of good seafood like spinialo, taramasalata (roe dip- not a meal), lakerda, fried marides, astakomakaronada (lobster pasta), ktapodi stin skara (grilled octopus), garides saganaki (shrimp), and mydia (muscles). i know i rattled those off pretty quickly but im not personally a huge seafood fan so i dont have much to say lol but DESPITE that i think id still eat most of them anyway
theres also kritharaki pasta which usually comes with lamb. theres also paidakia/grilled lambchops
for salads theres choriatiki which is sometimes just called greek salad
and for deserts my personal favorites are kokakia, theyre literally so good. theyre like if macaroons were better. but theres also the classic baklava, or halva (greek kind is made w semolina). galaktoboureko is also really good its literally SO creamy. and rizogalo which is just rice pudding w cinnamon. i also think portokalopita is really good bc its orange flavored and i love citrus. kourabiedes are also good but to be frank when i was a kid i just ate the powdered sugar off of them.
AND theres also some food typically only made for special occasions which is really good. tsoureki is a sweet bread usually made on easer or sometimes christmas, its similar to challah if youre familiar with jewish food, but its made with mahlepi spice so it has a slightly different taste. and vasilopita is a special cake only made on new years. whats cool about vasilopita is that theres a coin hidden inside of it and whoever gets the coin has good luck that year! its not taken super seriously but its a fun sort of game to play w the cake lol. also on any given outdoor celebration (easter or a panigiri) someone may cook a lamb on a spit which is usually pretty good imho, and i dont even like lamb.

Easy food from a lazy and tired person hungry after work/ school/ midnight but food takes effort
1. Any frozen veggie you like dump in a pot. Heat until boiling, remove from heat, drain, shove in the fridge - this is your quick food for the week.
Personally I’m totally okay cooking all the things at once and shoving in in one largeish container - a couple of full bags of 12 oz bags of frozen veggies just cause
Note: you could also make rice to go with your veggies which is like 15 min in a pot but that can be a hassle so either or
add shredded cheese and butter / or just butter and seasoning
teriyaki/ soy sauce - even with out rice its okay
Stirfry - theres a bag of frozen stir fry veggies. You can cook some chicken first but basically just heat that up and add some soy sauce or teriyaki or they actually have stir fry sauce and call it good.

2. Toast
Toast can have season all
Butter
Butter and jam/jelly/ preserves
Butter sugar
Butter sugar and cinnamon
Peanut butter
Nothing because again effort in which case prob just eat bread because supposedly toasting it makes it less something? Idk plus easy

3. Cereal
It tastes good, its something, feels like a treat
Might cheer you up if you get like a large bag of off brand kids flavors

4. Noodles stuff
Okay so you can get fancy with any of these and add like more veggies or chicken or something to make it feel like a real meal
Most are boil noodles, drain, put back into pot, add whatever
Any noodle. Any. You can sometimes get fun shapes for cheap in most markdown sections too.
Noodles butter garlic/ garlic salt
Noodles can of any cream of soup/ sauce of choice
Spaghetti obviously
Mac n cheese obviously
Mac n cheese cream of mushroom - or whatev
Noodles butter and veggies - bonus you can get away with boiling both together if you don’t mind squishy veggies. Rinse though. And then butter or whatever your choice.

5. Rice
Rice is literally the easiest thing to make thats filling, you can put amything on it or mix it with anything - same as the veggies and the noodle sections
Also mom does this thing with milk amd sugar its not my thing but it might be yours.

6. Slightly more complicated
but worth the little bit off effort if you pre make it for the week instead you know? Because it makes a decent amount youll get several meals out of and again it is easy because I am lazy and also always tired.
Chilli - 2lbs ground turky (you cant taste it i swear), 2 packages of store brand chilli mix powder, 2 cans store brand diced tomatoes with chillies or peppers or onions whatever it says, 2 cans red kidney beans. Directions should be on the Mix but essentially. Brown meat, drain, mix, let cook with lid.
Soup - with broth this is easier BUT you can do without one of two ways. 1) chicken bullion- 1 per cup of water, 2) actual chicken. I use breasts but ive recently discovered thigh pieces are cheaper so whateve - take your chicken and boil it in your water. Should be broth making directions online but put some seasoning, some carrots and some celery a bay leaf maybe some thyme? Anywho cook it idk an hour in like 2 quarts of water (8 cups), pull the chicken out - and because I am a bit weird about my chicken I’d chop it up, season in, and finish cooking it before returning it to the pot. Dump in a bag of mixed veggies, add some more seasonings and call it good amd let it cook with lid. Uh remove the bay leaf when youre done.
Like i said these are more of a pain but i could make it and live off it and cereal the entire week and be fine.
