Hate how in every thread where someone asks for challenge ideas for pz most answers are just 'make it as hard as possible' I dont want to make a run with highest zombie and rarest loot settings, eternal winter, no guns or cars, take all negative traits or whatever! i want a goal other than just 'survive'

the problem isn't that it's too easy to survive, it's that i dont have a point to work towards and then it all feels sort of pointless...

I like challenges like 'get from one end of the map to the other' or 'collect all ingredients + the recipe magazine and make a pizza' collecting all versions of certain items is also fun, as well as giving your character a backstory and goal and rp

The return of the true villain of the series: That one fuckin bouncy, physics defying plush cylinder in the theater.

The music change had me wheezing, the fucking dramatic chase music for this bouncy toy.

Followed by all three of them legitimately walking around trying to catch the damn thing.

I'd love to see an episode where they have a discussion, like a serious discussion or something in the theater, and someone throws the toy and it just bounces around forever while they're having a serious talk, and it's played completely straight the thing is bouncing and no one addresses it or tries to catch it this is wishful thinking but the idea had me laughing so hard i forgot hwo to use punctuation

It's strange seeing how... kind? The creator is towards Earth. Like, he's always been kinder to Earth than he has been to Sun or Moon or Killcode, but it's still weird. Like, he lets her decorate her room and got her movies in preparation for her activation, and doesn't get upset when she calls him father, and he's gentle when he asks her to leave them at the end.

BLOODMOON'S GARBAGE GUY??? HWAT????WHAT>>>???

I like... whatever is going on between Garbage Guy and the Creator. Like, GG is so annoyed with the Creator, but he's speaking so casually to him? Exasperated with the Creators antics. They're like... a goddamn sitcom couple or something. The Creator gives no shits about this guy's irritation. They remind me of Chatot and Wigglytuff from PMD:EoS.

So, Earth was activated around November-December 2022, during the Bloodmoon arc. She showed up in... April? I think? Late March, early April? Though she said she got lost trying to find the daycare/Sun and Moon, so she left/was sent away from the Creator sometime just before that.

Also, whos they? Fazbears? Sun and Moon? Some third party? Why would they get shut down? I may have missed something. I assume it's Fazbear's inc the two of them are talking about.

Earth raising her hand to ask questions.

They have a connected background??? The Creator got the garbage can stuck on this guys head?? Did he make him immortal too, or did he just get hired because he was immortal? What's the dealio with these two?

Earth out here being very right about the Barbie Rapunzel movie too, that magic paintbrush was banger, I wanted one too.

This episode was fuckin' fun. So many good quotes, I was laughing the WHOLE time. Also we might have a set up/ worldbuilding for the Creator's enemies and also more Creator and Garbage Guy stuff. Still wondering if he's dead. StG Killcode mentioned putting him to eternal rest at one point.

Also the thumbnail, again the thumbnail! IT's so pretty! The details are amazing, I wish I could look at them closer somewhere. Do we know yet who does them? I've seen suggestions in the comments of both videos featuring art so far that these new ones are done by Kiwi_Artz, but they aren't credited in the descriptions and they haven't post the thumbnails on Twitter anywhere. :(

I feel like this will most likely be the last calm episode before the 16th. This feels like a 'calm before the storm' situation and I cANNOT wait. 9 days till the 16th, that's probably 4-6 lore episodes/ 5-6 VRCHAT episodes, presuming anything is going to happen on the 16th. I'm both not ready for it, and 100% ready for it.

Habit

- He’s such a grouch lmfao he was like “ugh this is so stupid I can’t have my dEmOnIc lAiR filled with stuffed animals and shit”

- He has since gotten over his little fit, mostly because you chastised him about “you’re gonna call me bunny and coo over me to tease me at every possible second but I can’t have a couple goddamn stuffed animals”

- Just because he’s over it doesn’t mean he’s fond of them yet, if he runs into a pile of soft cuddly stuff he rolls his eyes and sneers a little bit

- Unless you’re in the room. He hates getting chewed out, and, to be fair, he kinda dragged you into his house, so you should be able to have a good thing here and there

- It’s starting to grow on him now. You moved a pile of stuffed bears once from the living room to the TV room and he came up to you and asked “where did you move them? I was getting used to them there. I said hi to them and shit”

- It throws his victims off. They’re getting tortured and cut and screaming and then they’re like “is that… a pink unicorn bear?”

- Habit says “that’s my assistant”, toy straight faced

Eyeless Jack

- Jack has lots of issues tbh. None of them are his fault poor baby

- But when you’re constantly surrounded by the dark woods and crouched in the freezing cold thinking about how much of a monster you are, that kinda starts to impact your mental health, undead or not

- So to be in your nice, warm home, surrounded by cute things- stuffed animals, maybe pastel clothing, fluffy shoulder bags, even weird flatware or mugs that are artsy or cute- is a huge improvement for him

- He doesn’t complain or gripe at all when he first visits your house. In fact, the first time he ever visited you, he tentatively asked if he could stay the night, even if it meant sleeping on the floor

- Which ofc it didn’t, you put him right on the bed with you and your eight million stuffed animals

- He has trouble sleeping, so he just laid there in awe all night, sinking into soft plushies and pillows with you crashed and snoring on top of his chest

- He now excitedly brings you any stuffed animal (or other collectible you might collect) he can find

- You now have a Jack corner, and he feels overwhelming love every time he looks at it

Nina the Killer

- Nina… is a cute thing

- And despite her commitment to scene, she also had a huge stuffed animal collection

- Which were all, of course, decorated in scene clothing and given hand stitched clothes

- Not that she necessarily misses her home life or yearns for it, but being among a ton of stuffed animals again makes her feel better. They’re calming and they help her sleep a lot better, so she’s almost always in your room, or leaving with armfuls of stuffed animals

- She also has to treat every single one equally, so she evens out the spread of which ones she cuddles, and says hi and bye to every single plushie

- If there’s one thing Nina is it’s committed

- She also uses stuffed animals to stim, she’s always fidgeting with one or bouncing it back and forth as she’s talking to somebody

- She will also bring you any stuffed animals she finds, though she’s a lot more inclined to actually buy it as opposed to stealing it or taking it off of a victim, which… isn’t always the best gift

- She managed to steal some of her old plushies back! So now they’re in your collection <3

Soft Fic™

Literally what this was titled when I found it.

This can be manga or game verse. I tended to combine manga Red with game Green, anyway so just pick a side and go for it.

It's cute but v rushed at the end.

It's old fanfiction, there's only so much you can do to it without saying fuck it and rewriting the whole thing.

You know the drill. If anything is fucky, overlook it and keep going.

Green has such a soft heart and Red loves that about him.

Red thinks about this as he watches Green play peekaboo with a baby shiny eevee at his grandfather's lab. It was the last one from the most recent litter, and Red really hoped Green would take it home before someone else did. He seemed to make up excuses to visit the lab just so he and his eevee, Vee, could play with it. He even bought a little squeaky toy for it, so it would have something to play with when no one was around.

Green's birthday was coming up, so Red made a trip to the lab early one morning and asked the professor if he could take the eevee. Of course, the professor happily allowed him to have it, telling him to wish Green a happy birthday for him just in case he forgot. And with that, Red was on his way back to Viridian.

As expected, Green was still asleep in his room when he arrived. Red had thought about how exactly to give the eevee to Green, and decided on placing it in bed with him so he saw it when he woke up. Vee seemed okay with this arrangement, as she curled around the smaller pokémon and both fell asleep easily. Now to just wait until Green woke up.

It was an hour later when Green's bedroom door opened to reveal a very happy, messy-haired Green with his arms full of just as happy eevees. Honestly, Red could have died right there on the living room couch. Seeing Green like this was something he would never get tired of. Green was so damn adorable and Red was so happy he could live with his best friend.

Green also had a thing for toys and cute plushies.

Red knew this well. After all, Green had collected them as a kid, so it made sense that he would still like them now. He made a trip to Celadon every now and again to get supplies and always took Red into the large toy store. He would show him various things, explain what they did, or what he liked about them, and then put them back on the shelf. He always looked a little disappointed when he did this, and Red knew it was because Green secretly wanted to buy it, but didn't want other people to see him doing so. He was a popular gym leader, and didn't want some embarrassing article to pop up online about him being seen in a toy store. Red thought it was a little silly to worry over stuff like that, but Green liked to keep up his public image.

The wall at the back of the store was filled with various plushies, and Green always gravitated towards it. He liked the small, cute ones best, "How can you not like them, they're adorable!", he'd said as he picked up one that looked like an eevee, but was small enough to fit in the palm of his hand. He made comment about wanting to recreate his team with plushies, just as room decor or something, and Red instantly knew what he was buying as Green's Christmas gift this year.

And that's exactly what he did.

Of course, he had no idea how to wrap a gift, so he asked his mom for help. She gladly wrapped up the large box of plushies, and let Red fill out the To/From tag himself while she tied everything up with a pretty, dark green bow. As payment, she asked for him to stay a while longer and help her bake cookies for some gift baskets.

Red was in the middle of 'sampling' the third batch of cookies when his mom asked him a question, "You like Green, don't you?"

"Of course I do, he's my best friend. I wouldn't be living with him if I didn't.", he replied without hesitation.

She laughed a little as she slid another tray of cookie dough into the oven and turned to face him, "No, honey, I mean like a crush."

Red paused, did he have a crush on Green? "I... I don't know."

"How do you feel when you're around him?"

"Happy, but I've always felt like that with him. But there are some things he does that make me feel... different. I don't know how to describe it..."

"Do you ever think about him or miss him while he's at the gym?"

"All the time."

"You bought him those plushies for Christmas, why did you pick those over something else?"

"Because every time we go to Celadon, we go in the toy store, and he always looks at the same ones. He talks about them, too. About how detailed they are, or how soft the material is, or just that he likes them. He never buys them, though. He really wants to, I can tell, but he has an image to keep up. So... I bought them."

"That's very sweet if you. So, I take it you like making him happy?"

"Of course, why wouldn't I? He's cute when he's happy."

It took Red a moment to realize why his mother had paused their conversation to give him a knowing smile. His face felt hot and he just knew he probably matched his name and hat. The silence made him come to a realization, one he never saw coming, and probably wouldn't have if not for his mother.

"Mom, I think I have a crush on Green."

Now the question was, how the hell was he going to tell Green? Or... should he even say anything? Would it ruin their friendship? What if Green kicked him out?

All those thoughts made his head spin, and made him feel bad about even having those feelings towards Green.

He had to tell him, though. According to his mom, even though he had just realized what he was feeling, he had always acted differently with Green and vice versa. This all felt like something a teen should be dealing with, not a twenty year old league champion, but it is what it is. He couldn't complain, after all, the guy he was crushing on had a childish side too.

After having another long talk with his mom, Red decided the best way to confess was through a letter. That way, he wouldn't mess up his words or make an idiot of himself. The letter would be disguised as a card on top on his Christmas gift, and Red knew Green ways opened the cards first, so there was no way he would miss it. When Red sat down with a pen and paper to actually write the letter is where the problem came. What was he supposed to say?

It took two days to write the letter, and the trashcan next to his bed was filled with all the failed attempts to write a decent love letter.

A love letter...

That's what this was, wasn't it?

Arceus, he felt like he was in one of those sappy teen romance movies.

Finally, the day had arrived. Red woke up extra early to go pick up his gift to Green from his mom's house. He'd left it there because he didn't have enough room to hide it, and he didn't want the wrapping paper to be torn accidentally.

He placed the box and letter on Green's desk and quietly walked out, hoping he hadn't disturbed Vee or Viri, as they would surely wake Green up earlier than anticipated.

Red kept the apartment quiet as he waited, too afraid to even turn on the tv. He decided to go back to bed, it was still pretty early, and Green wouldn't be awake for another couple hours, anyway. So, after changing back into his pyjamas, he went back to sleep with Pika curled up at his back.

"...Red.... Red!"

Red woke with a start at the sound of his name being called. The first thing he saw was Green with his glasses on and tears falling down his freckled cheeks.

Oh.

Oh shit, Green was crying. Why was he crying? Is he upset? Red sat up, scooting closer to Green on the bed, "Green, what's wrong?"

Green looked down at the letter in his hands, "I... I got your gift."

Red's breath caught in his throat.

"Do you really feel like this about me?"

Red leaned in a little closer, "Yes..."

"Even... E-Even after all the shit I put you through?" Green wouldn't face him. Still staring down at the letter and wiping his face with the back of his sweater sleeve.

"Of course, I do. I forgave you, didn't I?"

"Yeah, but I didn't deserve it. I still don't. I... don't deserve any of this. You're too nice to me. I mean, I appreciate it, I really do, but I feel like I'm not good enough. I forgot your birthday this year and then you brought Viri home for my birthday... and now this. You picked out exactly what I liked, and you couldn't have known unless you really payed attention, and I can't even remember what kind of cereal you like, and I love you so much... but, I don't deserve you."

Red pressed his hand to Green's tear-soaked cheek, making him look up. "You don't have to remember stuff like that for me, or do anything special. You make me happy, Green."

Green closed the gap between them, kissing Red with everything he had. Red responded with just as much eagerness, his hands finding their way into Green's soft, messy hair.

He loved Green, and Green loved him, too.

Red broke the kiss so they could breathe, and wiped the remaining tears from Green's face, "I love you."

Green smiled, "I love you, too."

One year later, Red was helping Green put together a shelf for all of their collectables and plushies they had acquired over the year, Viri had surprised them a month earlier by evolving into a Sylveon, and Red was planning a different kind of surprise for Christmas this year.

He was going to ask Green to marry him.

Because these really are a Throwback, and the only thing you really can do with them, is, well, what the name suggests…SMOOSH!

I’ll be honest, this week’s theme isn’t much of a theme, I just picked two random commercials from my collection because the music is catchy.  The commonalities are that both toys were from Fisher Price, they’re from around the same time, they have catchy jingles, and they’re for girls.  Oh, and I had one of them, and different version of the other.

That all said, let’s take a trip back to 1988, to a toy so cute, you can smoosh them!

When I was six years old, I received several toys called Smooshee, a small plushie with a plastic playset that I could stuff the included doll into.

I had a boy with a sweatshirt and a skateboard…

I LOVED that dollhouse!  I remember putting the baby in the swing, and using that dollhouse for other small dolls I had, in addition to stuffing all of my Smooshees in the chimney.

I had some pretty cool toys around this time (including the Sweet Secrets phone/nursery), and Smooshees definitely fit into that category nicely.

Because these toys weren’t around long, I had forgotten about them (it’s been thirty years since Fisher Price stopped making them).  But, as I already know about myself, nothing nostalgic ever stays forgotten in my head (which is not always a bad thing).  These adorable, cuddly toys came back to me when I found a compilation of 1980s child-friendly commercials on Amazon last year, I re-discovered these long-lost toys of my childhood, sandwiched nicely in between all the other memories of a very 1980s childhood, both remembered and forgotten.

It’s got a catchy 1950s “At the Hop”-style jingle, little girls loving the heck out of their Smooshees (some more than others), and 52-card pickup, Smooshees style.

Oh, and Beverley Mitchell from 7th Heaven is in the commercial

Did anyone else notice crazy girl and her huge grin?

That’s less “enthusiasm over playing with Smooshees,” and more “Wild Sadistic Smooshing Smooshees” written all over her face.

I’m wondering how much the toys sold themselves, because if I were a parent and saw this commercial, it wouldn’t influence me in the least to buy Smooshees for my kid.

I’m wondering if these were bought for me based on the commercials, or if whoever bought them through they were cute.  Because after seeing this girl playing with them…quite frankly it isn’t the most appealing way to advertise your toy.

Fisher Price manufactured Smooshees from 1988 until 1989, which is very short-lived (by contrast, the Yum Yums had a longer life), but in that time, Smooshees invaded writing utensils, toys, hair accessories, keychains, Christmas ornaments, Easter decorations, and even children’s meal Halloween-themed giveaways from Hardee’s in 1989.  There were also books (both the story and coloring varieties), a Halloween costume, and yes, a lunchbox/thermos set that lacked a Smooshee.

1988-1989 was Kindergarten, and I didn’t need a lunchbox.  But if I did, I would have probably needed this.  Because it’s pink.

The house itself was so cool, I absolutely loved playing with it, and as I said, putting other small dolls lacking their own dwelling in it.  It even had its own commercial, sans sadistic girl.

I’m not sure why these were discontinued, but I’m wondering if playability was diminished over time, or Fisher Price had something newer and exciting when compared to dolls you can stuff in plastic.

Whatever the reason, Smooshees can run in upwards of $10 on the low end, to over $50 for mint in box sets on eBay.  They’re super cute, but in hindsight, the novelty probably wore off quickly.  These days, I would probably be more apt to display them on my desk at home…with the occasional stuffing and un-stuffing.

This wouldn’t happen though.

Tomorrow on Flashback Friday, we’ll visit another equally short-lived Fisher Price toy, whose playability is probably even more limited than today’s toys, but cute and memorable once you, you know, remember them.

Cutie Reviews: YumeTwins November 19

I feel like I really plowed through those October reviews, but I’m slowing down a little again <_< I blame Animal Crossing. I’m playing it a lot more now than I was when I got it. Seeing how wonderful other islands look make me want to hurry up and make mine better too... plus my friends and I are getting a little competitive. When I’m feeling comfortable with how everything looks I’ll have to take pics for everyone :3

Kirby Plush + Badge Gachapon

Our first item is this precious gachapon from the Kurumikko Canbadge series in the form of a hollowed out plushie that comes with an exclusive badge/pin. The plushie can be opened to store items inside (as can the capsule), and you can stuff the capsule ball back in it (or some cotton) to give it some shape. It also has a ball chain so you can hang it from various places. 

For the box, you could get badges from series 1 or 2 of the collection. Series 1 featured Kirby, Waddle Dee, Meta Knight, and King Dedede. Series 2 featured Kirby with various items (a drink, star rod, earmuffs, a scarf) and had star-shaped badges/pins.

On one hand, I really wish I got a series 2, but I’m happy I at least got Kirby from series 1; but the rain-themed Kirby and Waddle Dee pin from Waddle Dee’s plush was very cute too.

I love the concept behind these, I think it would be a really fun and cute little way to collect/store items, and the “plush skin“ seems to be well made.

Kirby Gel Pen

This next item is perfect for Kirby fans in need of some stationery, this is a collection of colored ink gel pens, each with a unique Kirby rubber clip and design. There is 10 in total!

My pen features a basic Kirby pose with a colorful sky scene. It has a rubber grip and typical pen tip, and the ink is yellow as you can see.

Again, I love this concept. But... as much as I like this, I wouldn’t have minded getting it in another color. Not because I hate yellow, but because its actually really hard to see. In person, the ink is washed out/faint, so I feel like it would be hard to use for certain things.

The pen quality itself feels really nice. It’s comfortable, cute, and as a gel pen its very smooth to use.

Moving Kirby Plushie

Kirby is off on another adventure with his warp star, and now you can come too!

What makes this plush unique is that it has a built in motor, so all you have to do is pull it back on a surface and the wheels beneath it will collect momentum, allowing Kirby to roll through whatever comes his way. You could get this Kirby, or a sleepy one.

It’s also a fun toy for pets :3

Unlike the previous plush, this one is very cuddly soft and filled with fluff. It’s pastel color scheme is light on the eyes and it looks so sweet~

The movement gimmick works very good too, it’s not weighed down by the plush covering it, and it’s really fun to watch. Even if its not used, it just makes an adorable room decoration.

Kirby Toy

What makes this next item fun is that it came in 2 varieties, either a Frisbee or a yo-yo!

Both look really cute, and I would have been happy with either. Growing up, I owned both of these types of items, and even now I think I have one or two of each but I don’t really use them much anymore- usually because I have no idea where I put them. Sometimes I’ll even use my Frisbee for things other than the intended use, like holding soap for bubbles~

Anyway, this Kirby Frisbee is noticeably more smaller than most Frisbee I’ve seen, and due to the rainy weather as of late I haven’t had much of an opportunity to try to use it.

Kirby Tote Bag

This is our last item, a tote bag featuring an adorable Kirby design (this one, or the one featuring multiple parasol, the design I had on my Kirby lamp from a few months back), and a matching piece of fabric that you can un-tie and wear yourself if you want. There was 4 variations, 2 bags perfect for lunch (but it can also be used casually), and 2 that would be more suitable for work, school, or even maybe the gym or visiting the mall.

I love the rain, and parasol/umbrella designs, so I’m really happy this was what the line focused on x3 Besides the Kirby Cafe, Kirby’s Parasol Time designs are/were pretty popular.

I really like the versatility behind this tote bag, because as of now I’m not sure I’d have much of a purpose food-wise, unless maybe I went on a picnic or brought food with me for a ride in the car. I’ll probably end up bringing this with me to the mall or something, I really really REALLY want to use it~

I also love the cute fabric accessory on the handle, I’ve seen purses with that, but never owned one before myself. I really want to take it off to look at the full design- but I’m kinda worried I would be able to get it back on again...

Content - 5 out of 5. We have practicality, versatility (both in what we got, and the various uses), and most of all cuteness overload! I loved everything x3

Theme: 5 out of 5. EVERYTHING in this box screamed Kirby! If I had to nitpick anything, I would say maybe they could have been a little more willing to pick items that showed off more of Kirby’s actual Dream Land or featured some other characters too.

Total Rank: 10 out of 10. Quality wise I feel like this was a very good box, this would be perfect for anyone who likes Kirby- or in general cutesy looking things. I feel like with Kirby you don’t have to be a fan to love him, and I really wish we got more boxes with a singular series/character feature like this one.

1. Kirby Tote Bag - This is the item I’m most excited to use! It’s so cute, I can’t wait to see how others respond to it~ 

2. Badge/Pin Plush - I love the idea behind this, and I really like the pin/badge, I’ll definitely be using it. But I do wish maybe I got a different Kirby, this one feels so basic.

3. Kirby Moving Plush - I love it! I feel like I have my very own little Kirby wandering around my house :D

4. Kirby Gel Pen - it’s so cute, but I’m turned off by the hard-to-see ink color. I’ll still try to find a way to use it though. 

5. Frisbee - Compared to everything else this one just feels generic. I love playing with Frisbee though, so I am excited to use it.
