I knew about radfem as a thing that was bad and that you had to block for since like 2017, and not until yesterday did I actually read around about what it was about, and now i feel like my understanding of a lot of things has shifted really rapidly and idk how to cope. Like i thought porn was a healthy expression of sexuality and bdsm is harmless between consenting adults but reading the stats and where it all stems from and its effect on women and the horrific abuse of the porn industry, i cant believe that anymore. I understand the reason behind gender abolition now and why theres critique of trans ideas. This whole time I was taught that radfems hated trans people for existing like how right wingers do, but after reading around I actually see the love that radfems have for trans men, and the indifference for trans women. Its not about hate at all. Its about the love of women and how sex is what we are oppressed by, and gender as a social construct exists to stand in the way of women. Sexism makes my soul hurt so deeply, and I never understood why people don't talk about it more, why I seemed to care about it more than people around me. Why lgbt people dont talk about it more. Its everywhere, in every part of society. It's so hard to acknowledge that this group which I consider family also actively benefits from the exploitation of the female sex. I don't know how I can deal with the fact that my friends would be upset at me for believing this. How do I even process this i feel alone

I normally as the admin of sorts of this blog do not 'answer' asks often, but I wanted to say that there are whole swathes of women (rad-aligned feminists, radfems, etc) around radblr who have been where you are and have felt what you've felt. You cant compare Barca to any other teams tbh, firstly because they have the deepest bench but most importantly they play with a very strong system. Yes they have very talented individuals too but the key to their play is the tiki taka, it's still very rare in women's football to do 700-800 passes/game and other teams still struggle to undo that. Chuck in any good players in that team, as long as they understand the system, they can carry the game fine. Also, saying their bench player could walk into Wob's starting 11 sounds a bit too much. They do have ex Wob starters as rotational players in Ingrid and Frido, but then again who would walk into this Barca team and not be their rotational players? Perhaps only Viv . They have arguably the strongest midfield in women's football, you dont really need a strong backline, yet they still do. Strong CB's are rare in general, in both women's and men's game, yet they have both in Paredes and Mapi

I've mentioned it on my post before, what I like about Stroot and perhaps the silver lining to Wob's injuries is the rotation and integration. The fact that Wob's dealing with injuries rn, meaning they have no option but to play the bench players, and Stroot has always been good in rotating players, besides the backline (defenders run less than mid and forwards) he doesnt really play them the full 90s. Even if he did, he made them rest for other games he sees fit. Obi was being rested against Koln, Lena against Essen and Jill against Duisburg (Pokal game). If you pay attention, Jill and Tabbi dont really play for 90 minutes every game, they're often get subbed off for Dr Knaak/Sandra/Shaan/ Pauli and sometimes Joelle.

Unlike Dom and Almuth who Wob did come forward saying they wanted to renew but it depends on the players, not them.

To address the CB situation, quality CBs are just rare to find period and the ones that already exist have cemented their places in other top clubs. I do agree we need a back up CB but I'd rather they scout thoroughly and get them in the summer rather than be another panic buy in winter. Before Feli came back, I think Wob had either Kathy or Jo to play as a LB, not ideal but they do have a back up LB.

And about the strengthening the left side, what I noticed is that Wob basically play with 4 forwards. They have the fixed backline, the Lenas in mid and the rest are very fluid in attack. Usually Sveni, Jill, Tabbi and whoever they got on the left moved positions all the time through out the game. Tabbi is a right winger, yet she often moved to the left, Jill's a second striker, yet she also moved to the right or left and Sveni is just an engine, she's EVERYWHERE. So yeah perhaps Wob needs a fixed LW but not necessarily cause the way they play is fluid. Sveindis is also a versatile forward, LW/RW/CF so I think recalling her from loan is their way to address that LW spot

You’d known Mitch Marner for way too long and for the record he’d always been insufferable. You would have been perfectly content to stay friends with Connor and Dylan, till Mitch came barrelling into your trio. He and Dylan were like two peas in a pod and you hated it. You finally thought you’d catch a break when you were accepted to a Uni in Toronto. You’d get to see Dylan and Connor and avoid Mitch easier when they were there for games. Those first couple of months before the draft were pretty lonely. You’d seen Connor brown around town a couple of times and remembered him from when he was playing with the Otters. You and connor got on pretty well and he was from Toronto so he helped you find your feet in Toronto, which was awfully nice of him. Then Mitch went and got himself drafted to Toronto, much to your distain.

So know here you were, with 80% of your close friends playing hockey because Connor McDavid knew everyone and approaching strangers was a terrifying prospect to you. A very close friend of mine received a call from his auto insurer yesterday regarding a 3rd party claim against him. According to the 3rd party, my friend hit their parked car (which was parked on the curb in front of their home), then parked his own car, went up to their house, rang their doorbell and exchanged insurance information. The 3rd party claims that this took place in a town that's more than 1 hour away from where we work and live. This allegedly happened 3 months ago. There are two major problems with this story: A- The alleged incident never happened. I carpool with my friend to and from work and was with him that night. B- The 3rd party has all of his insurance information. Could the insurance company have called the wrong person (i.e. gotten policy numbers mixed-up while processing the claim)?
