Wonwoo has never really been interested in romance.

When he was six and his friends started talking about girls were icky, he couldn't have cared enough to even think about girls in particular.

When he was fourteen and his close cousin who was practically his big brother told him about his first girlfriend, Wonwoo had simply nodded and congratulated him because the older guy looked like he was waiting for it even though he didn't get what's there to congratulate.

When he was seventeen and another cousin got married, he thought a little about what it'd be like to commit yourself for the rest of your life to another person.

Anyhow, now he's twenty seven and still pretty much free from the dating experience.

He just simply couldn't be bothered to try nor was he even curious enough to try.

There's too much risk. Too much things to do. Too many factors to think about. It's too complicated and Wonwoo has never been a fan of complicated.

Sure, the older he gets the more he understands about the attraction and whatnot. But the few dates that he has been on (which he could count with his two hands) was entirely due to his friends setting up with someone and his inability to say no the second time even though he did reject their so-called-help the first time around.

They eventually get the hint and stop setting Wonwoo up on a blind date.

He never sees romance as a necessity and he doesn't feel the need to have a partner, what is there more to say?

“I lost the floor 12 Abyss again.” You pout, half tempted to throw away the joystick in your hands. “I'm never playing this game again, I'm telling you.”

Wonwoo chuckles and tells you to move as he slides next to you, taking the joystick away and getting ready to restart your game.

“You just suck at this.” He teases, not minding your glare because he's way too used to it at this point. “And you say that everytime but here you are, still playing.”

“Shut up.” You pout, both impressed and unimpressed at the way he easily goes through the stages.

“Done.” He grins, all nine shining stars looking back at you.

“I hate you.”

“No, you don't.”

“I do!” You take back the joystick from him and close the window. “You don't even play this game! This is bullshit!”

He laughs under his breath and ruffles your hair, saying something about how he can't help being good at it.

You like that side of Wonwoo, as you often tell him, because people have always said that Wonwoo is quiet–that he doesn't talk a lot and it could be awkward being left alone with him.

And whilst it's not entirely untrue and you've been there too, you also know that Wonwoo is much more than his lack of words.

Wonwoo talks a lot once he's comfortable. You just need to be very patient and understanding about his silence before he gets there.

You… have been plenty patient, amongst other things.

You're patient enough to get where you are even though you've never imagined you'd get here.

Here, meaning being close enough with Wonwoo for him to be comfortable with you that he doesn't mind inviting you over to his place with no other companies.

Here, meaning being close with Wonwoo despite the fact that you've confessed to him about your feelings but you're still here in his place, right next to him with not a single air of awkwardness between you two.

Turning off the Playstation, you settle on Wonwoo's sofa and decide to scroll through Instagram instead. You sigh, catching his attention, and when he asks you what's wrong, you simply shake your head no.

“What are you sighing about this time?”

This is something that people don't know about Wonwoo either: he prods when it comes to people he cares about.

Granted, he does it exactly three times to see if the other party would relent by then. He does that because that's how he is, he once tells you, because he rarely opens up at the first question but eventually cracks on the third time. That, by the third question, he's already had enough time to consider whether or not he really wants to talk about it.

“Nothing important.” You try to reassure him. “Just silly stuff.”

Wonwoo looks at you pointedly, but you simply smile and turn back to your phone, which he supposes means you don't feel like bringing it up just yet.

He closes his book and puts it on the coffee table, leaning closer to you to see what you're up to.

You wonder if Wonwoo knows what his action means to your poor, poor heart. If he's aware that, as much you said you're cool despite your confession, you still have romantic attractions towards him and confessing doesn't mean you're no longer affected by anything and everything he does.

After watching you go through your phone for a bit, it is quite easy for Wonwoo to realize what might be the core of your problem.

“You're thinking about why you're single again, aren't you?”

Your fingers freeze and so does your entire body, and Wonwoo would've laughed at how surprised you look right now, but he knows you're actually bothered by this problem from time to time though he doesn't exactly understand why.

And for someone who's observative and quite sensitive when it comes to things around him, Wonwoo can be a bit dense, still.

On what kind of universe does he think this topic would be okay to talk about with someone who literally confessed to you and somewhat got rejected though not explicitly?

“I don't want to talk about it.” You whine despite the fast beating of your heart. You honestly don't think you have it in you to talk about this with Wonwoo. At least not just yet.

“Why?”

You look at him, incredulous. “You know why.”

“Because you like me?”

You shrug, not wanting to deny it.

“Can I ask you something?” He asks, voice very gentle and careful.

“What?”

“I'm sorry if this sounds insensitive.” You press your lips together as he starts. At least, he has the conscience to know that. “But… what is it about being in a relationship that appeals so much to you?”

You pause before you answer, wondering what to say. “Do you want me to actually answer that?”

“If you don't mind answering.”

Wonwoo wonders if he makes you uncomfortable by asking such question. But if there's anyone he can ask about this, it can only be you. No one else would answer it in a way that he would understand. No one else would give him the sincerity that you'd give in your answer.

He feels bad knowing you like him and still asking you like this. But he supposes you're both close enough for that discussion, that he doesn't want to let your feelings get in the way of your precious friendship.

Perhaps he's selfish, but he doesn't want to be too conscious when it comes to your relationship with him despite everything.

“I guess it's just the fact that someone's always there for you.” You start, not looking at him even though his gaze is locked at you. “That there's this person who… you can tell everything to, from your secrets to what you feel like eating today. That when you want to do something, you can always run to them first before wondering if anyone else is available. That–”

“But that's already how we are?” He cuts you off.

You stare at him wide-eyed, wondering if it's some kind of prank even though you know he's not that kind of person.

“That's already what I do with you.” He says one more time–more firm and somewhat determined with a hint of confusion. “Why do you think you're in my place so often?”

“I… I– I don't know? You're… bored? And I happen to be free?” You stutter a little, not used to the way he's staring at you.

“I am bored.” He agrees, things suddenly crystal clear in his eyes. “But I'm bored because I don't have you around. And I want you here. That's why I asked all the time if you're available.”

You open your lips to say something–anything, but nothing comes out because your heartbeat is ringing throughout your body right up to your ears.

“You're the only person I send those posts about places I want to visit because I want to visit with you. I don't send them to anyone else. I don't even like going out all that much.”

“I… I don't understand?”

“Are we in a relationship?” He asks rather bluntly, mixing all your feelings together with one single question.

“Wonwoo, I don't think this is how you should go around it–”

“Have we been dating all this time?” He asks one more time, not even seemingly nervous about it.

He looks at you like he's expecting an answer, but how are you supposed to answer that? You've simply been happy that you get to spend time with him. You didn't think for one second that he might be into you despite all the time he asks you to accompany him somewhere and all the time you're alone in his place.

“I've been too oblivious, haven't I?” He concludes by himself, your silence doesn't deter him at all.

He reaches for your cheek, and if he notices how warm your face is, he doesn't mention it. But he caresses the apple of your cheek as he looks at you with the gentlest reflection you've ever seen in his eyes.

“I'm sorry it took me too long.” He whispers, and you bite your lip so hard to hide your smile because you don't want to be too happy before anything's decided. You're not sure what he's trying to say, your head is spinning with thoughts and your heart is beating at an erratic rhythm. “Do you mind… letting me learn a bit more?”

“About what?” You whisper back.

“Being a good boyfriend?” He smiles when you do too, feeling warmth all over his chest at how shy you seem to be. “You know I've never done this before, right? Let me take a chance with you?

You finally let yourself grin at this, no longer able to control the happiness blooming within you at whatever this might mean.

And as you lean your face more into his palm, Wonwoo thinks he's ready to take all the risks that might come together with whatever the future has in store as long as he has you by his side.

Central Room Part 3 Thoughts

Ok I just woke up but this is interesting….

This has also kind of turned into analysis and predictions so…

Sky and Twilight

Not a bad group! Surprising given Time’s last conversation with Wars but not horrible! I don’t see much conflict between the two of them personally, feel like it’ll be smooth sailing (minus Twi probably throwing himself into Situations because of his missing strength)

I do think this is a “safe” option for Time: Twi is in another group, keeping them from fighting and Time from potentially compromising their group because of his own anxiety. And we know Time and Sky already don’t really get along. There’s tension, let’s just say. But I think Time putting Sky with Twilight still shows he trusts Sky as a warrior though he knows their own ideals (Time and Sky’s that is) conflict a lot.

Wild and Wars:

Hoo boy! The newbies. That… that’s a surprise. I’d thought for sure Legend or Wind or Hyrule would be with one of them at the least. Or both. That said, eeeek. Even Wind’s seeing it in this panel! We have Mr. “Freest Play-Style Ever” with Mr. (arguably) “Most Limited Play” (this is coming from Age of Calamity’s gameplay as I’ve never played base Hyrule Warriors, but it’s pretty limited. You have objectives you need to get to, things you need to do, with a very limited stage and rather limited gameplay once you’re out in the field).

In LU, though, we also have Wars and Wild butting hands as Wild very much does what he wants, but Wars is trying to reign him back in. And Warriors being a captain and Wild’s lost past… I can see a lot of conflict brewing between the two of them.

That said I can also see a lot of fire. Remember what Wars and Hyrule did to the monsters earlier in the comic? And, well, Wild has a nigh unlimited stock of bombs.

Legend and Hyrule:

Surprising but not unwelcome. Understandable that they need to get their stuff back, but I can’t help but think that they’re going to have a little trouble adjusting to working in groups. Hyrule, as we’ve seen and others have pointed out, has a mind of his own and keeps forgetting he’s not the only one there. Legend is the expert. I can imagine this lack of awareness of Hyrule could begin to frustrate him because he knows how to do this, just let him do this! Or Legend, on the other hand, begins leading and just doing without Hyrule’s input. I can see this going a lot of ways and I’m excited for it!

Time, Wind, and Four:

Perfectly fine. I don’t have much other than I can see Time taking out his nervous energy on keeping the two of them safe, especially Wind, which could cause conflict. I cant help but feel like Four might start taking the lead, or at least giving lots of advice since he knows how to do this in a team. Wind, I feel, is going to run ahead or maybe try to shoulder a lot alone since Time is his predecessor.

I think some of these groups also show Time… isn’t as used to leading as Wars. The newbies together? That will be entertaining for us, for sure, but in-universe I don’t know if Time entirely thought that through…

I can’t wait to see everyone split up! I know I keep talking about potential conflict but things have been feeling tense lately in these updates so I can’t wait to see it.

- Im gonna jump he is so kewt. Idek what to say im just ill

- You’d probably often compliment his eyes and you have this image that hes so calm and collected— which he is! But! Not with you! So every conversation with you is him just fighting for his life trying to look cool and not implode at the same time

- ^^^ THIS is one thing. But what really gets him falling for you is when you get a bit closer and have a talk with him, telling him in no uncertain terms that he’ll always have someone to return to if others are cruel because you won’t be leaving him

- Gives you things VERY often, usually little things because hed die if he had to directly give you a gift and then have to explain why, so he shows his affection in little ways like letting you have his best pencils and pens if you need it (lets you keep it too)

i am in fact a student and it is in fact major kicking my ass rn . that being said comma

performing arts are predominant in three major places: sumeru, fontaine, and liyue. natlan is arguably an honorary mention in this list but fuck it we ball. my post .

in liyue, i think i've already brushed over their performing arts "economy," but i'll restate it here so we're all on the same page. liyue is a dense city, and every spot on a stage is very carefully accounted for. for occasions such as the lantern rite, these slots are even more meticulously rationed, as its one of the few times of the year they can all but guarantee you will be present, so it's important your stay is as perfect as possible, even without you being able to see every stall. i imagine the creator choosing to see your performance is a career changing opportunity, one that cemented yun jin's position and lifted ga ming and his troops to someone the law sees as worth mentioning. if you mean post an isekai of some sort, or simply without the whole game thing, it's still mostly the same deal, except somehow worse? liyue is a bright and full place, one that manages to get brighter and fuller when you arrive.

in either case, they at least try to be somewhat calm about the whole thing, though. no want for scaring you off! the sight of you in the crowd, though, whether through a vessel or not, is enough to give any performer a shot of extra energy.

natlan is FAR more lax. not only is dance a less formalized occasion, but they in general have a far less dramatic difference in levels of authority, social or legal. the archon is regularly on the same level as any other tribe member, and while yes, there is a difference, it's nothing as dramatic as some of the other nations. people play songs for the sake of playing, so it doesn't matter if an audience is present or who's in the crowd. 10/10 the best place to go if you want a casual show.

fontaine swings back into an almost obsessive formality. every appearance is carefully crafted, and if anyone gets the idea you're coming, true or not, they suddenly put 100x more effort into the performance. the briefest hesitation when reciting one's lines is a monumental failure, and the slightest fumble when performing a trick is grounds to scrap the entire routine. it is a problem. please tell them that it's okay to make mistakes and that you won't, like, shoot them for making an error.

thankfully, sumeru finds a healthier balance. the arts are still being somewhat suppressed, though with your backing, its hard to make a case to continue doing so. the sabzeruz theatre is thriving, frankly, and has never seen better days. it's a bit of a cross between liyue and natlan, in that your approval or attendance definitely influences choices made, but it's still a relatively lax time. whether or not you show in the future, the knowledge that you approve of the arts is a massive point in their favor.

That's it the IOI project is done I felt a little bit of what its like to be an idol until I actually debut soon its exciting to finally be able debut soon its going to be exciting, Woozi and Yoongi have been helping a lot and I'm extremely grateful for everything I cant wait to actually produce my own music and be a full time idol like Jimin and Woozi

Sometime later...

Finally my official debut in a permanent group, I'm so excited that I was able to write and produce music just like Yoongi and Woozi its like a dream coming true it really brings tears to my eyes. The stars are finally aligning, unfortunately Jimin and the Bangtan members are in the states currently which sucks but there nothing I can do about it, Jimin did tell me he would Facetime me as soon he is free today so he can celebrate it with me even though its virtually.

About three hours later, while I was practicing in the dance room alone I hear my phone ringing I know who exactly it is, so I pick it up and answer the phone.

"DOVEEEEEEEEEEEE" I hear all the Bangtan members screech as I chuckled out loud knowing its out of excitement.

"guys, guys; its not a big deal, technically this is my second time debuting in a group let alone I was just in a group not that long ago" I said to the seven boys screaming in excitement

Then, suddenly I'm hear Jimin babbling "I know but still, my baby sister is living her dream I'm so proud of you could you imagine how big you can get?! I mean your group is already so amazing just by having two members of I.O.I in the group let alone YOU are literally the visual, I wouldn't be surprised if they just made you a soloist if anything happened to your group or if you ended up being like THE HYUNA!" I tilt my head in confusion and then Taehyung answered my confusion,

  "Hyuna was basically the most popular in her group 4Minute and was in a bunch of duos and a soloist so when her group disbanded she became more popular than the group itself"

After hearing Taehyung explain I nodded and started to think out loud, "maybe but its still to soon to even tell that will become a reality maybe my group will have only one comeback and then I have to go to a different company, to bad Big Hit doesn't accept female idols because of GLAMM."

All seven members sigh in frustration; then Yoongi said, "you're so right about that you would be Big Hit's princess if they still accepted female trainee's, but I did hear they might debut another group in a few years or so" the other members  nodded as they heard the same thing  after seeing them nodded we said our goodbyes but the entire time Taehyung looked at me and was texting someone; maybe he finally found a girlfriend or something that would be good for him he needs something like that in his life.

Suddenly Taehyung phone rang and excused himself to answer his phone, leaving the rest of us curious but letting it be as none of our concern.

Our 2nd mini album release is today and the company received horrible news, Jihoon our precious producer known as Woozi and my dear friend was found in his home unresponsive in his bathtub; I am beyond devastated as he was my best friend as we were from the same place and whom I can rely on here they are letting me relax after the promotion period, I have no choice but to promote while grieving which is not fair at all but I can't help but feel like it was a set up Jihoon is not the type of person to do suicide...he just not, he was a happy person, a introvert but a happy person his life is producing music how an he just leave it all when Seventeen are just getting popular it doesnt make sense, something happened I just know it in my body and soul 

A few weeks later the company is  finally giving me time to grieve Jihoon's death, it just so happens Yoongi and Taehyung have texted me today to see how I am doing 

Big Min(Yoongi): Hey how you doing Little Minnie?

Eevee(Taehyung): Hey Dove, You okay?

I decided to text Yoongi first.

Big Min: Hey how you doing Mini Min?

Little Min: I'm okay just surprised, it came out of nowhere like he was my best friend, then again I feel like it wasn't suicide

there's some really interesting answers in noah's german con about filmmaking in general, he spoke about the order of his average day on set and i was so happy to hear him talking about blocking! so they get into hair costume etc arrive on set then they rehearse the scenes and block them and decide that on the day, then they go back to their chair (enter bananagrams) and the cameras set up for the blocking they chose, and then they go and shoot.

i couldnt stop thinking about the scene in the bedroom with will's butt facing mike hahaha, and noah or finn suggesting this on the day! he said that its common for him to suggest ideas like this as they block and that the duffers are very trusting and happy for them to improv lines as well as give ideas about what their characters would do in terms of how to frame a scene. trust!

and he also said how almost every scene in s5 did not turn out how he expected - he has an idea of everything in his head and how it'll go, and then it always turns out differently and crazy! so interesting. that's acting + reacting for you! but nice to hear him talk the creative process (from this video, no timestamp cos it's instagram so you cant fast forward tho)

(Can yall believe I'm finally just now getting to watch this? That's how behind I am with things 🤭) Thoughts as I watch:

Off the bat and I know it's true - the way he refers to fans as meeting them, remembering them from online, and even "seeing familiar faces" again after being at that con for the last time when he was 13? And how I don't doubt at all that he genuinely does remember some people. He's so sincere and sweet. That's more than I'd expect for an actor. Something you can never take from him is his genuine care and value he places on his fans and having fans at all (we all know this can be a slight detriment at times... but he's just. Sweet.)

Saying that there are big sequences that use music and on set, even though that's added in post - they played it during filming to evoke a mood. And he can't say. Of course, we know music is integral to the show, but it's pretty hype knowing there will be big music moments again - love it or weary of it, I personally at this point really love everything they did with Running Up That Hill and I've heard the DB say you can't force a cultural phenomenon like that and it's not like they're trying to capture lighting twice - but you gotta wonder what they're gonna do. The fact that a bunch of 80s musicians were asking to have their music in the show 😆 I would love to know who tried to shoot their shot. (Do we all pretty much think Should I Stay or Should I Go is gonna be a huge Will climactic moment? Come on, they set that up. Imagine the song queuing, just the first few notes... then a pointed pause and it's like ahhhhh before some amazing scene. Cheeseball dramatic stuff like that I personally love. Because it's fun! And we shouldn't be afraid to enjoy that sort of thing.)

Ahhh yes. His "favorite moment with Finn on set" and of course it's from season 5. Is his favorite moment with him on set gonna come from the season where Mike rejects Will??? Nahhh because that ain't happening. AND then the way he gets super excitable talking about how he spends the most time on set with Finn, then catches himself like ooooh should I be saying this? I know I'm late to the game and have only read accounts of this but hearing him actually talk about it. Boy is struggling, boy is flustered, boy is giving it all away. He is sooooo flustered. It;s not even spoilers and the fact that he considers it so is sooooo much. "What was the question??" JFC Noah 😝 Literally talk about ANY other season!! You have 4 seasons to talk about filming with Finn and instead he is losing it on stage. Season five is clouding his mind so much he can't focus. (*Inserting Foah agenda here* him unable to talk about favorite moments on set with Finn and none of them are appropriate to share 🤭🤭 Or more innocently, crushing like maaaad.)

Ooooooh the answer at the end about keeping in touch with Millie was kinda awkward? I'd read his quote but watching that was interesting. He spoke fairly positively about filming memories with her before this one but the whole "evaluating how well we are able to keep in touch now that filming is over" was so heavy? He looked a little unsure there. It was odd. I'm not looking to re-poke the bear on that situation, but it was different to watch him speak on that over just reading about him speaking on that.

@its-clockwork-princess one of my best, oldest, and dearest friends. years and years of friendship, roleplay, fanfiction, writing. every time i see a duo on screen or in any media my first thought is always her and my second thought is always “us.” we went through a thousand different fandoms and i can’t remember our first but we definitely bonded heavily over fandoms like marvel, dc, and fnaf at the very early stages of our friendship. her dad was actually dating my mom for a long time, which gave us plenty of time together. literally cant even summarize everything we’ve gone through together, everything we’ve built, seriously been friends for a decade and i plan on staying that way for the rest of my life. i cant imagine my life without her, how bleak and colorless it would’ve been. i’m honored to know such a generous and kind person, and someone who helped shape me into who i am today. a love truly unconditional.

@ohgodmyeyes loved his takes on anakin, thought he was so real and so down to earth even though he could stand to be more egotistical considering how talented he is. i think about a certain post he made about anakin -> vader's dick literally once a day. i'm not even exaggerating at all when i say it was my roman empire. in just that small amount of time i was taught his quiet confidence, his exquisite way with words, and his unapologetic thought process. i maintain a distance from him because i'm playing the long game and from what i've seen on his personal posts i feel like he might be overwhelmed if i come on too strong, as i often do. but that doesn't stop me from grinning every time i see him in my notifs and i get to think, "this message was approved by ohgodmyeyes." very proudly.

@somuchfrstardust we talked in the comment section of anakin edits on tiktok i feel like and then i was like "hey wanna be friends" and we haven't talked in a while but that's totally cool, that's just how i am. i still consider them my friend i think they're a rly cool person.

@banakinbabygirl was one of the first anakin/hayden blogs i followed, i love how they write smut. it's a very emotional way of writing, very heavy on the descriptions and realistic reactions that drew me in and kept me there.

@starmanskywalker is one of my favorite writers in general. anything on her masterlist is an instant recommendation from me, instant like, instant reblog, instant indy review. i'm such a jealous person in general but the way i feel about alanis' writing is beyond jealousy. it's admiration, it's fondness, it's awe. i don’t feel envious i feel fulfilled. i was very proud to become her mutual, her friend, be on a first name basis with her, and write fanfiction with her. we have a collab we've been working on for a while but because we're both so busy and it's such a big project it takes a lot of time and a lot of love, but i'm still so excited for the day it's finished and can be published.

@xstarkillerx is so much more than a person i met on the internet. truly one of my best friends, and i can’t imagine not having him in my life. there’s so much i can say that i have actually already said on this blog before. donnie has a way with seeing the world i just love to hear about. i’ll ask his opinions and experiences on everything simply to hear what he, specifically, has to say about it. when we have conversations inhibitions are left at the door for the both of us instead of just me. i feel skinless, muscle-less, body-less with donnie. an entity obsessed with him on discord as we write novels to each other, sonnets about how we view the world and its fictions. donnie is my bread and butter, and i’m so glad i found him and stalked him and forced him to be my friend and now he’s reliant on me just like i want.

@weixuldo such a sweet person and very understanding of me and my boundaries. i first found wei’s blog through their fanart of darth vader which i loved so much i sent every single one of their posts to my best friend who i mentioned at the beginning of this post. i still go back to look at those works every so often to brush up on my love for them. such a talented artist i’m very happy i’m worthy of a follow back, and that we enjoy each other’s content.

@mcondance i met through hobie brown back in june 2022. i loved how they kept luring me to their page by mentioning me and my hobie works they kept reading, i swear they were using my vanity as bait and it worked. they are, genuinely, so fucking funny. i only have friends that are funny don’t get me wrong, but there’s something about jupie that when i’m talking about them to other people, that person is like “omg jupie is so funny.” like. jupie just transcends my sense of humor to other people’s. they’re funny to the masses. i’m very bad at texting, but jupie is a person i try to reach out to so they know i’m virtually loving on them. they like the attention. another writer i’m so pleased to be mutuals with when they’re so skilled at the part of writing i always feel like i’m most wooden at. the side of smut writing that takes feeling and sensation and even an edge of genuine horniness, jupie is so good at translating that onto a page.

@murdrdocs is another mutual i gained from the height of the hobie brown era and i believe i saw her content through jupie’s page. now we don’t get to talk too much but that doesn’t mean i don’t think she’s not a super cool person. i don’t read much, but the things i do get to read specifically on icarus’ page make me very proud to be her mutual. not only is she an accomplished and gorgeous writer, but her blog designs are always envy-inducing. she shifts her aesthetics so seamlessly—even tho i know how changing a theme can be draining and time-consuming—and it’s always easy on the eyes. her navigation is especially creative and i’ll never forget her newspaper clipping themed announcement for last kinktober.

@princessbrunette another writer i’m constantly in awe of. i met her through her anakin works, and invited myself onto her kinktober taglist when she was still a relatively new blog that’s how much i was instantly attracted to her work. her style is so distinct and so refined, i can overlook non canon work because hers is just that good. she’s also very funny, and has a gifted silver tongue. i’m always impressed with how she’s able to paint a picture in her pieces using nothing but the most concise and visualizing words. it’s not often that i watch something because a friend watched it, but i watched obx for her so i could still enjoy her work that’s how much i love it. our universes we create in our dms are so special to me.

@empiresheir was someone i met through their anakin one-shot about order 66 which i’ve reblogged several times and it’ll never be enough. it was such a good piece i gave live updates to my best friend who was reading it too. i sent those screenshots to her orc cos she deserved to know what i had to say. she was also an essential help when i was writing my kinktober project, kind enough to read my pieces and give me line by line feedback just like i like so i wouldn’t go crazy from lack of attention on pieces i couldn’t post til october. not only another talented and powerful writer (capable of dropping my jaw at how insanely good she is at wording things), but such a sweet person to talk to. and though she’s not active in the fandom anymore i think of her fondly and i hope she’s having such a good time with baldur’s gate.

@darthvvder had a collection of anakin drabbles that i found on wattpad of all places and i was amazed at what i read. thoroughly impressed by the physical reactions her works were eliciting in me. got me to care about smut tropes i hadn’t cared about before simply bcos she was so good at writing them. i posted about a line that gripped me and she commented that it was her, i followed and the rest is history.

@jarebare99 is my boyfriend :) he gets an honorary mention. i wrote him an entire book of poetry and my thoughts on him so he can read that if he’s feeling left out from everyone getting paragraphs. i met him in irl not through a fandom but idc.

@ddejavvu was someone i’d see in my notifications including my inbox every so often and she was very recognizable. i really can’t remember how us being mutuals happened? i’d like to say i somehow discovered she wrote and wrote well and once i began noticing i consistently liked her content then i followed and lo and behold she was following me too. mei is very respectful of my space and i like that she texts me without expecting an answer back bcos i like to read her updates and don’t always know what to say. i have some of her inbox messages i gatekeep and i go back and read them every so often and think about how diabolical it would be if i answered them and floored the world, but i have yet to be ready to share the genius.

@anakincentric technically through anakin. even though we don’t talk much bcos both of us have really similar no-contact ways that doesn’t mean i don’t think she’s real sweet. i like when she pops in, drops a banger, and then peaces out. like a disney cameo appearance.

The gallery was stunning. You had specifically ordered to have as many plants as possible in it. White and light green, pearlescent fabrics adorned the walls while the soft sunlight flooded the rooms of the art exhibition. The paintings reflected lots of emotion and made the viewers think about the story behind them, even after leaving the gallery.

But there was one very special painting that attracted a lot of attention; It was two men, both in tailored suits, kissing. The little plaque next to the canvas read ‘Our wedding.’ And that’s when two worlds collided. One of the men was obviously identifiable, this was Y/n L/n; A world famous artist, who this exhibition was dedicated to. But as far as the public knew, you were unmarried. Strange.

Then there was another man on the right side of the picture. You had painted beautiful light hues onto the mans face, with the utmost care he was portrayed on the canvas. Art fanatics knew a lot of people, whether it was Claude Monet or Umberto Boccioni. But this person wasn’t part of the art universe. Or at least if you don’t count speed as art in itself.

But only a minute of research would show that this was Max Verstappen – though what does that mean? You two weren’t connected in any way shape or form. Or at least not publicly. What does an esthetic, artful genius have to do with the dominator of the pinnacle of motorsport?

Max was gently holding your waist; this was about to be interesting. Once you both entered the fancy building, you were immediately spotted by Paparazzi. He was THE Max Verstappen, obviously they were keen on snapping a picture of him. What they didn’t expect to see was a man by his side, holding onto him like they were a… couple?

This was like light to a moth; they took as many pictures as their cameras allowed them to take. The media was absolutely going to love this. The event you two were attending had a restricted number of Interviewers allowed, but the ones that were present had already set their eyes on you like eagles.

Quickly hurrying away, you found the table at which Christian and Geri were sitting at. Those two were the only people you’ve trusted to talk about your… relationship. Christian offered Max and yourself an understanding smile while Geri began chatting about how lovely the setup was.

You had to admit, the event was well planned. The food was amazing, the drinks tasted wonderful, and the décor was stunning. But you couldn’t shake that uncomfortable feeling of being watched with every step you take. Max noticed your stressed expression and slid his hand onto your thigh while offering you a slight smile. The atmosphere darkened as the lights slowly dimmed and the stage lit up. A man stood on it, thanking everybody for coming. He then shortly introduced the band that would play a few songs after his speech.

This was the moment you were scared of the most, now you had to participate in Interviews. Max pulled you to his side, giving your hip a gentle squeeze, as if to assure you. The grey-haired interviewer was smiling, if you squinted lightly, he looked like the cheshire cat. “Max Verstappen! Great to see you and your…?”, he glanced at you, still smiling. “My husband.” Now the Interviewer looked startled, his eyes widened at Max’s words while his gaze shifted towards the dutch again. The rumors of your painting had spread into the corners of the press, but not really taken seriously, after all there’s many lunatics in this world. The man’s unsure expression was replaced by a smile again. “Ah yes, the painting.”, he looked back at you.

“Y/n l/n, apparently that painting was made in 2018? Now considering it’s depicting your marriage, did you two in fact get married in 2018 or was it more a… artistic expression?”, he stunk of cigarettes and cheap perfume. You tried masking your disdain with a smile. “We did indeed get married in October 2018. Around the same time i made this painting.”, your tone was polite and lighthearted, like a feather in the wind. The grey-haired interviewer seemed to think for a second before speaking up again. “What was the specific reason for not publicly announcing your spouse?” His ice blue eyes now peered at Max, though your husband seemed unfazed. “The public doesn’t need any information about mine or his private life. This information is not essential for the media.”, Max dismissed, excusing himself and you.

With a sweet smile on his face, he guided you towards the terrace to the side of the building. The night air was fresh and clear. Max leaned his back against the railing, studying your features in the soft moonlight. You took a step forward; both of your noses were almost touching. “We did it.”, you then closed the distance between the two of you and caught your husbands’ lips in a sweet kiss. You could feel him smile into the kiss.

some Pixal borg headcannons because i miss my wife🌧

—im starting with putting an end to the ponytail beef, because Pixal and Nya came to a mutual agreement to match hairstyles for eternity because they’re honestly ride or die for eachother.

speaking of ponytail Pixal will always and i mean ALWAYS carry extra hair-ties on her somewhere, and sometimes she’ll have a habit of wearing one around her wrist for anyone to ask to burrow.

and on that point, despite Pixal not being capable of experiencing a menstrual cycle. she will always have menstrual hygiene products stored somewhere, or even on her at times in case of emergencies. because Pixal is a girls girl forever and i will die on this hill.

she owns a phone, cyrus got her one. however she cant fully wrap her head around the concept, as her background would be either the basic one or something photo she took of a sunset, and its only purpose would be for calling or sending messages. but i also think Pixal would be very active on Twitter (X) and it would be her only really social media.

Pixal was primarily genderless in the earlier seasons, not having any prefered pronouns or titles. and was fine with just being “Pixal” but she later on decided to lean into her femininity, especially after rebuilding herself later. as she did add lots of modifications. gave herself a standard female body, and i like to think she gave herself things like longer eye-lashes or nails just because.

despite that, whenever she’s wearing her samurai x gear. people would often mistake her as being male, but she never made any attempts at correcting them as she would lean more into it by changing her voice to sould deeper. she honestly thinks confusing humans is fun.

despite not being able to ever have any biological children of her own, Pixal has always had a soft spot for children. whenever she walks past a group of small children playing she cant help but smile subtly, or when she meets a fan thats really young she’ll speak alot softer to them. and be alot more patient and understanding.

i like to think that perhaps in the distant future, when peace has overtaken ninjago at last. and everyone has grown older, she dreams about owning a quiet house perhaps near a beach. and thinks about living together with Zane, or another being she’ll grow to love just as much and she thinks occasionally about the process of adopting a little one, or two. or a whole bunch.

and i imagine Pixal’s favorite hollyday probably being new years, she remembered celebrating her first one together with cyrus borg. and sitting and staring at the fireworks above ninjago city, she also just loves getting to decorate and all the confetti and even getting to light up her own fireworks.

now that i mentioned cyrus, i think in Pixal’s early stages she simply viewed him as her creator and someone she had to obey. and it took many encouraging pep-talks from cyrus to get her to come out of her shell, but she was never build to be his daughter. it just seemingly fell together on its own over time.

and Pixal was struggling to process that whole thing,and she didint register it at first and had trouble with having to refer to cyrus borg as her “dad” and stuff like that. but there was never any rush, but once when it was fathers day. pixal visited him in borg tower, and simply greeted him with a stoic “hello, father.” LOL

but shes really developed over time, taking time to discover who she truly was and shes gained alot more personallity. even though she’ll always be a nindroid who occasionally has trouble with understanding certain things, shes alot more out-going and overall happy now.

i headcannon that someone once got her an iPod once, as pixal was always intriqued by the concept of music and different genres. but she would just listen to whatever the others were playing, instead of finding music she liked. but she wanted to explore the concept of music more, as she asked for advice from nya and a few others.

which lead to Pixal discovering what pratically felt like an entire new world to her, and she ended up becoming a big mitski stan along with nya, and her favorite album will always be “bury me at make-out creek.” and she grew a love for just listening to music while she was fixing or working on something.

but, pixal became unironically a MSI fan. And yes shes ashamed of it. and yes shes forever mad at Jay for introducing and influencing that stuff on her, but “this hurts” was still at number 3 on her spotify wrapped.

also shes found herself enjoying going to arcades, and a love for playing those Low-graphic shooter range games with aliens or zombies. and those racer ones two, usually because she always wins.

shes not very affected by horror movies, if its just the gorey slasher films. but a good psychological thriller might get her occasionally, she also rages when the characters in the movies make dumb decisions which obviously leads to them being killed lmao

shes never very affected by sad movies, unless it focuses on a topic that hits close to home or shes dealt with herself at some point. as her build-in tear ducts might start to tingle a little bit.

same usually goes for rollar-coasters, shes not a fan of how it makes all the circuits and machinery inside her feel like its being tossed around almost like a washing machine, which simulates the feeling of nausea. and if Pixal were to “throw up” i think it would look like that Oil that looks rainbow when its hit by sunlight.

also shes literally impossible to scare, like you could be plotting the most devious clever attempt at spooking her. or simply just jumping out from behind the door and shouting “boo!” she just perhaps raise an eyebrow and question your actions almost like shes intriqued by your actions.

and i think Pixal is capable of eating, and i think it would look like her just having to scan whatever she was about to eat. and her system would begin simulating the flavors of what it would be made out, and inside Pixal has a build in disposal to grind up all the stuff. but she would have to empty it occasionally.

and lastly before its time for me to disapear again—Pixal is definately a cat person and its an unspoken rule for her that if she sees a cat while walking to somewhere or driving she HAS to go over and pet it. and she has a habit of talking to cats as if shes having a casual discussion with an actual person.

Upsetting to think about FGO shutting down (but it will, eventually, nothing in this world is permanent), but ideally it doesn't just go abrupt EoS, given that it's one of the biggest gacha games out there, and one of the overall largest entries in the Fate franchise. If/when it does happen, ideally it goes out post Ordeal Call and Arc 2, where it can bow out and leave the stage with some grace and dignity still intact, as opposed to it going on much longer than it needs to, with a decline in quality. But given how much content the game has, and how popular it is, I have some ideas for how the content of the game can stick around.

Option A: It continues mostly as is, just no new events, no new Servants. Also all past story content unlocked and available for all players. Cause FGO isn't just the main story chapters and events themselves (though they are the main draw), its also the Servants, and that includes their art, their profiles, their interludes, their voice lines, stuff that's beyond just the 'visual novel' portions of the game. People want and need to see and interact with the Servants they have, not just read the text (which can be done on story readers online and the like). Ideally, battle content would still remain, because while it certainly is not the main draw of FGO, parts of the story are still told with it. But if for some reason that cant be done, technically, the post-game could still go on without it, albeit partially crippled. I imagine that the Support List could prove a problem in this version.

Option B: Kinda like the modern Pokémon games, which is odd to bring up, given how shit they've been. But the ability to transfer FGO Servants and data to whatever Type Moons next thing is. Even if its like a 'limited dex' sort of thing, maybe not every Servant is playable in whatever the new thing is, but I'd still like to have a record of them and view them. Basically, some sort of Record Of The Journey. The idea of some sort of progress being maintained.

Option C: I get every new Type Moon game, light novel, anime, etc., for free. Because I spent a lot of fucking money on FGO, and if I no longer get to play it, I either want my money back or equivalent compensation.

Basically. I'd want it to be available on our phones/devices long after updates end. Like a phone game you don't need an internet connection for, or something like that.

FYI: This is just idle speculation and hopes, afaik the game is not ending soon or anything like that, I don't have any insider knowledge. And while I do have complaints with, like, how Servants have been released this year on JP, and the length between Ordeal Calls and the like, I don't think FGOs in like a death spiral quite yet either.

This was the first year I played demos in the Steam Next Fest (I didnt even know it existed before), and I will be doing it again, cuz it was pretty fun. I played a lot of games, and I thought maybe I could talk about each of them a little, so that more people know about them, and also to keep a little record of my thoughts and feelings about them for myself.

I'll list them in the order I played them cuz why not.

1. Mech Builder: I've never had any of those cool mech model kits that you have to cut out of the frames with pliers and then assemble yourself, but they've always looked really cool to me and I've always wanted to try assembling one. Well, this is that, but in video game form, and it was pretty fun! It was satisfying to snip the parts out of the frame and then snap them into place according to the manuals. There was also decals, coloring options and more. I just wish there was a way to pose the models a bit after they're done, or maybe see them from behind and the sides? Though I understand that it'd take a lot more work to make all the art for that and it might make it unfeasible but i think it'd be fun to play around with the models a bit after they're done. (Can you even pose the real mech model kits? I cant remember.)

Anyway, good game for relaxing and futzing around with cool mechs.

2. WHAT THE CAR?: This one was just delightful. It's just such a joy to play, being this silly little car with legs going through increasingly ridiculous iterations of movement with their accompanied puns and jokes. I was smiling and laughing the whole time i was playing, even in the harder skull stages, and i tried and got all the gold crowns for all the levels. (Also I still have that "What the caaaar" jingle stuck in my head, and Im not even mad about it). Just about anywhere you looked was a wordplay joke, or a visual gag, and I love it for that, and can't wait for the release. I will also be getting the other games from the devs, Triband. I also checked their website and they seem like really cool people too. (There was also a secret puzzle hidden in the game, that I was too late to solve for the rewards, but i had fun doing it nonetheless)

3. Mind Over Magnet: I've been a longtime fan of Gamemaker's Toolkit, and I've also been watching Mark's Developing series of devlogs, so I was hyped to actually play a demo of Mind Over Magnet, and it was cool to see how polished it had become. Cant wait for the full game!

4. SCHiM: Adorable little game that emulates that feeling of childhood playfulness you had when you used to walk through the sidewalk only stepping on shadows or you'd "lose". Loved the art style and the environments for this, though it was a bit hard to tell where you were meant to go sometimes.

5. Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus: I've been waiting for this game for a long time, since a game that combines hollow knight with japanese folklore is a must play for me. The movement felt really fun, and its focus on staying midair and air control was a cool feature of it, because you basically get a double jump every time you hit something mid-air, and can hover around and over enemies while you hit them. It's basically floor is lava the metroidvania. And when you get the dash it gets even better, cuz you can chain the dash with the blue midair jump, and the momentum from the dash will carry over, (which i think was intentional, cuz whenever you do it there's a small glint of light happening) Kinda like a celeste super dash. The demo made me look forward to it so much more.

6. Tactical Breach Wizards: So, recently I've gotten into tactics games despite myself, (it's all Into the Breach's fault, maybe I'll talk about that too another time) and wow did I love this one! The gameplay was really fun and the abilities were varied, the concept and world were cool (imagine wizards as military strike teams, and a world where magic is pretty common so there are P.I. Storm Witches and Traffic Warlocks) but my favorite thing about this game was the characters and the dialogues and humor. My favorite bit was:

"You can't throw all of life's problems through windows, Jen."

"Maybe not, but we owe it to ourselves to try."

Look me in the eyes and tell me that's not hilarious.

It's like god dropped this game in front of me as soon as he heard I've gotten into tactics games.

So so excited for this one!

7. Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo: really stylish game with fun mechanics and gameplay, a good light-hearted adventure for whenever I get tired of dark and grim stories and games. Also did not expect I'd be able to jump in this lol. Kinda reminds me of Mina the Hollower, another game Im excited for.

8. Demonschool: first off, I gotta say i didnt finish this one, not because I didnt like it, but because I left the game and when i came back it wouldnt open from where I had already progressed, (it kept crashing when i clicked "continue") and I didnt wanna do it all over again, so I gave up. But! I really really liked it. Another cool tactics game, with a beautiful artstyle weird occult world and fun characters. And even though i havent played persona, I could tell that it was inspired by it, what with the school life sections and whatnot. Cant wait to be able to continue on with it when the full game comes out.

9. Cato: i'd played the older demo before and liked it, so it was nice seeing the game had progressed further and gotten more polished. Pretty enjoyable puzzle game, if a bit simple. Also the cat liquiding through tubes never stops being funny.

10. Metal Slug Tactics: I loved the old Metal Slug games as a kid, and we used to play them a lot with cousins at sleepovers, and I have fond memories of it. So im really excited for this game, with all the nostalgic characters and sounds, and now with a (again, someone must be stalking me) tactics coat of paint. The shield and cover mechanic and also the sync mechanic are pretty clever and fun to play around with. Im sure I'll enjoy this one a lot when it comes out.

11. Tiny Glade: A relaxing and lovely little game that made me feel creative and like a kid playing in a fantasy sandbox. I've been waiting for this one impatiently ever since watching the trailer ages ago, and it's so wonderful. I didnt get to play around with it as much as I wanted to, but im definitely going to make a whole bunch of different little towns and castles when I get my hands on the full version. The camera mode was also so detailed and nice. Best I can describe this game is Vibe.

12. One Btn Bosses: Clever idea, and cool minimalist artstyle, but it wasnt really for me

13. Tavern Talk: This feels like being a bartender in a D&D world, and I enjoyed it a lot. The art is lovely, and the characters are all interesting (Fable's anxieties were too relatable, man.) (And Caer...Lin was so cool) (i cant wait to meet the whole cast who's on the posters) the mixing part was also pretty fun and Im sure it's gonna have more drinks and variety to it in the full game, all in all a nice and cozy fantasy visual novel type game for when I wanna chill.

14. Caravan SandWitch: kinda solarpunk/hopeful sci-fi game, with a cool van. Seems like it's gonna be a wholesome cozy time. Roadtrips through gently postapocalyptic-looking places? Im not sure what the correct vibe is for this game, because I dont know a whole lot about the setting or the story, but it was pretty cool. Also watch the trailer, the french song is stuck in my head, it's so good.

15. Mira and the Legend of the Djinns: Im gonna start this one with things I liked and then things i disliked about it. I love the art style, and I think the game as a whole looks gorgeous. I like that it's inspired by moroccan culture and how it infuses every aspect of it. I loved the instrument playing, even though there was only one song to learn in the demo and it didnt get a lot of time to shine. (I havent played ocarina of time, but im pretty sure I'll enjoy it for the same reason of it having the ocarina playing, among other reasons) i liked the pickaxe too, and how it allowed you to climb and mine.

Now for the dislikes. I did NOT like the combat. The fact that all of your momentum just dead stops when you swing your sword was pretty jarring to deal with, and it made those floaty eye pricks so annoying to deal with. Especially because of the way they space themselves and distance themselves from you so fast, and also the fact that there's no upwards slash (not in midair anyway, there's one you can buy that only works from the ground) which means you have to jump in very close and level with the enemy, so it doesnt have much time to fly away, during which time there's a high probability of it shooting you and making you fall, also if you're a little below it, the third attack which is very horizontal misses, so you have to do it again. The final boss of the demo was also pretty much a slog, due to the one-pattern attacks and the huge health pool. And you had to first break away the shield to be able to damage him, (and it would not register multiple attacks on it at once, if you hit the shield it became intangible until the boss changed position again) so it just became a repetition of: dodge through projectile, *ding* hit the shield. Dodge, ding. Dodge, ding. Dodge, ding. Dodge, ding. Dodge, ding. Shield broke. Stab stab stab stab stab. Dodge big attack, and start over. Rinse and repeat for like, seven more times. It became a chore almost. There was a general stiffness in the combat that made it hard to enjoy.

Also a minor nitpick about the UI is that it was a bit hard to tell how much mana it took to heal how much. If there was a small line or indication in the mana bar to show if you have enough for a heal, it would be really helpful in combat to know at a glance if you can heal in the moment or not.

All in all, this is not to say i disliked the game itself, I actually really liked it, and think it has a lot of potential, given a bit of fixes and improvements.

Anyway, these are some of my thoughts on all the demos I played during Steam Next Fest. I hope you'll check out some of the games in here and wishlist them to help out the games you like!

Discount airlines...and the best flight i have ever had, really

for the second time i flew an airline was dramatically less expensive than other name-brand options. think Spirit or Frontier in the U.S. the first (the dreaded flight) was one of these airlines SKy. the second from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia was on Flybondi. reading the reviews on both went as follows. "they cancelled my flight at the last minute", "the staff was rude, even offensive", "customer service would not pick up", "they left me stranded", "i was unable to make a connecting because of their delay". finally, the best one "they stole from me". this one went to say obviously someone had rifled through their luggage and stole valuables. now these reviews are scary. well maybe not scary. but, they give pause. will i get there on time? will my luggage even arrive? now i have time on this trip to deal with delays. if my luggage is lost. i simply cant wait around to get things figured and out and resolved. especially in countries (Peru and Argentina) where very few people speak English. i mean, i would have been at loss, completely.

as i have already stated the SKy flight. covering 4 cities and 3 countries. went without issue and all flights left and arrived on schedule. my baggage arrived as well. and was even one of the first on the conveyor belt. relieving even an instant of concern. for me, this is even slight proof that only pissed off people write reviews.

so, discount airlines don't feed you. well, not without cost. and every, every, every flight i have ever taken on one of these airlines, has a crying baby. as if one was not scheduled to be on board. there is a pool of ill-tempered toddlers way in the back these airlines offices. that provide the mandatory and mood setting screeches.

the flight on Flyboundi, held the same concerns as above. the same terrible reviews. but this, seriously, turned out to be the best i flight i have ever had. it is difficult to pinpoint exactly why. but, i do think in part was where we were. where we were going.

for concerts i have i attended, and well really, for all concerts whether i am there or not, i feel they become a focal point of energies. imagine it this was way. your favorite band is playing, somewhere, anywhere. you decide to go. buy tickets. make plans to get there. maybe get hotel rooms. maybe even conjure up friends who are thinking the same thing. and have the same desires. now multiply this by thousands and thousands. add in the promoter that is putting the show on. the band co-ordinating a tour. and all of this goes on over months. from so many different angles. all focused one night. one moment when the stage lights flash to on and the first chord is struck. all that energy, all those thoughts, all the anticipation focused on that very instant. it is is intoxicating and hopefully. transcendent.

now i believe this flight carried the same kind of concert vortex energy. though these may have been built up over years and years and years. a child wondering about Antarctica, like Machu Picchu. "what would that be like?". "what would i see there that i can't see anywhere else?". and all those childhood dreams and fantasies were now on this flight, heading south, the last leg of a very long journey.

So I dont think its more they have to get to him as more of he lets them roam and live in the castle but if they try to leave he will loop them back inside. Its very much we can live here forever because ive trapped the house maiden so she cant force us to go back. i imagine he controls where he loops to so its always at the start of the castle but he made sure they knew that oh i will loop you back so while they never are sure how many times they do loop back they have a guess from how siffrin acts

2. if its the bad end au then he would go livid and kill whatever tried, i imagine the sadness dont try to because they are so terrfied of siffrin and he will destroy them with his fist. if its the epilouge then siffrin panics badly and puts himself infront, now that he's big hes def a tank and take the hits. the others get upset at him though if he thinks that oh i can be a shield now! they want him to take care of himself too so they try to soothe him and tell him its ok if they step in

3. Siffrin tends to try and bond with the others or will just boredly play with the environment around him. sometimes he picks the castle up to move around to test to see how far they can go before they loop (he loops if he tries to step out of vaugaurd) so he tends to just sit and watch his actors in their little stage play
