        for a moment, octavia just watches grant from the doorframe in the bath she’d drawn for him, tracing the heavyweight he carries in his face. his leader front is a good one, even octavia believes it fully. but, it doesn’t take away from the fact that he seems even more exhausted lately. worn from all the things they don’t talk about. perhaps if they did, he’d find himself a little lighter. but for now, she could only guess what might help. could only do so much.

      after putting a towel on the counter, octavia went to the tub, kneeling down beside him. silently, she pushes the sleeve of her oversized cardigan up, hand dipping a cloth into the water before she slowly rung it out, letting the water pour over his shoulder and down before she ran the cloth over the same spot. gentle for his healing scar. then she sat back, elbow resting on the edge of the tub to just watch him again. could you...do that again? the softness and hesitation of his voice has her head tilting, before she nods. “ sit forward. ” a small smile appeared on her lips at his confusion, softly her finger smoothed over the crease in his forehead that appeared, before she stood, looking down at him. “ go on, sit forward. ”

     once he did as she told him to, octavia stepped out of her pyjama shorts and top before she eased herself into the warm soapy water behind him. once settled, her arm snaked around to grant’s chest, gently guiding him back against her so her cheek could rest against the side of his face. octavia didn’t break up their silence with mindless chatter, opting instead to go back to dipping the cloth in water, washing it over his shoulder, then his arm, and his chest. again and again for as long as it felt soothing while her other hand traced tenderly back and forth through his hair.

There is two types of content enjoyers when they enter a new fandom:

The type who just is there for the plot, makes some theories here and there and has a good time making head canons and gathering a general knowledge about the lore

The type that has a pin board filled with messy notes and looks like a crazy conspiracy theorist, trying to drag friends into the fandom so they have someone to talk to about all their theories they have made

Usually I'm quite normal when joining a new fandom, but "The Magnus Archives"?

They are tempting me very much to buy the largest pin board I can find and to have at it, because if there is one thing I love more about a story than anything it's puzzling all the little clues together to get the bigger picture
