into the dark news + poll
i will also be announcing this in the notes of the next chapter update, but i just want to inform you all that i will be going back through and mass-editing/rewriting all chapters from act one (chapters 1-40). all throughout act one, i really let outside forces influence how i wrote this fic. i pandered to the fandom because i was afraid to make anyone upset rather than writing what i wanted to write. i saw people saying that their precious sirius would never do The Prank, so i made peter do it when i really wanted sirius to. i added 540957345 povs (most of which will stay because i do believe they shape the story) rather than just keeping it to regulus + james because i saw people saying that not giving each and every character an in-depth plotline in an mlm fic was misogyny and neglect. i came up with an elaborate scheme to keep lily alive on halloween 1981 because killing lily is misogynistic. (lily will stay alive on halloween like i promised yall because i have grown so fond of her and i know that you should kill your darlings but i've never been very good at that). i planned a lot of elaborate schemes to keep a lot of characters alive and spread myself thin trying to shove intricate plots for the black sisters, marypanlily, peter, remus, dorlene, rosekiller, etc. into this fic because i didn't want to offend anyone or make anyone upset. i truly do not give a fuck about james and sirius’ friendship, but i threw it in this fic's face since so many people regard it as The Holy Grail and i didn't want to disappoint them in any way. i wrote the black brothers way more tame than i wanted to because if regulus doesn’t want a relationship with sirius it’s framed as him blaming sirius.
the truth of the matter is, this is a jegulus fic, centered around regulus black, james potter, their relationship, and no one else. not lily. not sirius. not anyone. that isn't to say that i can't have complex plots devoted to other characters, because i can, i will, and i love to do it. every plot i inserted into this fic will remain the same, just with a few tweaks and possibly with less pagetime.
the biggest change will be that i am going back and rewriting The Prank. sirius will orchestrate it like god intended. i completely understand if these changes make this fic less appealing to you, and i absolutely respect that. DLDR is one of my biggest mottos and something i heavily encourage, so if you don't like this fic, it is totally okay to "don't read"/DNF.
i also want to draw more attention to pandora’s past sexual assault. it’s been quietly in the background, which was - in part - intentional since she herself shoves it down and blocks it out, but there are so many instances where it could have been addressed and wasn’t. idk i think id just like to have it be more front and center because it is such an important aspect of the story that im afraid gets lost in the sea of other plots in this fic.
again, there won't be very many "big" changes, but the little things will add up a bit yk? the rewrites won't be published until every chapter has gone through it, which won't be for a few months, but i will let yall know when they are.
i also don’t know how i want to orchestrate the rewrite. that’s what the poll is for because i truly do value your opinions as readers. once the rewrite has been completed in my drafts, im unsure whether i should just keep them in the original work, delete the original altogether and start from scratch posting the rewrite as its own fic, or leave the original up and post the rewrite as a separate fic (but still titled into the dark — rewrite)

What makes you think Doll wasn't a fully realized character in the pilot when the concept art clearly shows she has the Solver?
That's technically not exactly proof or anything, but it relates to that one reblog I saw you do. Doll clearly was suppose to have the Solver even at that point and could possibly fight the DDs. Which was kinda the point of the whole thing. She still might not have been fully realized but when it comes to how you were using it, I think that point is invalid.
(also, I'm not the anon that asked the original question. Figured you could tell that from the different writing styles but wanted to make sure you knew that)
I assume that this is the post you're talking about, the one with my reblog:
About that concept art of Doll with the Solver, knives, and evil smile, I always assumed that it was drawn and released after the pilot aired, as I wasn't aware of the fact that it dated all the way back to the first few drafts of the story.
If it really is that old, please, show me the date of its public release, so that I can get a better idea of the thought process behind her character's realisation.
Anyway, if post-pilot and pilot Doll were always intended to be Solver users, then I have two possible explanations as to why episode 1 Doll didn't protect the colony from J and V, both of them based around one of these theories: Doll's parents died during the pilot, or Doll's parents died before the pilot.
- In the case of the former, it's likely that Doll wasn't as courageous or as skilled with the Solver when the Disassemblers came in; with this timeline of events, V killed Doll's parents in front of her, then, the russian escaped to that giant storage room where the battle takes place, and as N and Uzi drag away V, Doll's left to metabolise her trauma and slowly begins her villain arc, the Solver activates as a result of high mental distress, and she starts to practice her powers, which would then lead to the events of the show.
This explanation is, admittedly, the least plausible, as many people have already pointed out all the issues with the "Doll's parents died during the pilot" theory, leaving the second one to be the most likely.
- For the ladder, I believe that Doll was in a state of panic and shock when J and V barged in, we saw this happen on numerous occasions (when she starts to backpedal from Uzi after failing to use her Solver powers against her, how she starts to hyperventilate when her death scene plays out): Doll, to me, looks like someone who prefers to be in control of whichever situation they are in (she's so me fr :) and whenever she can't plan ahead her next couple of steps, she's left stunned and doesn't know what to do next until she recomposes herself; she was probably asking herself if it was worth it to reveal her powers now knowing how much attention that would bring to her.
With all of that said and done, I still don't believe that the Doll that we saw in the pilot was already fully realised as the final version of Doll that we see in the show; there are a small handful of things that don't line up together:
Pilot Doll and her correspondents fanarts (the aforementioned smiling evil one with the bloody knives and the one with Lizzie and Thad in it) portray Doll as a somewhat happy and outgoing individual, one who enjoys bullying Uzi, while in stark contrast, canon Doll barely smiles or emotes, and if this line from Lizzy in ep 3 is anything to go by "Dude, no one is going to notice she is missing, just do your thing and I'll let in V", Doll was apparently against killing off Uzi.
It is my personal theory that, since Khan was originally intended to be the main antagonist of the show, and was most likely going to be a complex, layered douche rather than a straight up villain, the series was going to be far more comedic and less story focused than it ended up being.
Therefore, I believe that Doll, in this old version of the story, was conceived as a far more evil opponent meant to serve as a threat, kind of like our current Cyn; there's a lot of proof that demonstrates that the Absolute Solver was always a planned event, and although I am unable to tell how much concept Solvy deviates from their final implementation, I'm fairly certain that Liam Vickers originally intended Doll to be another, more reoccurring Pure Evil villain, and as the various rewrites went along he started to give her more and more sympathetic traits, while still maintaining some of her original Pure Evil roots in the story.
This would explain a lot of the various problems that I, someone who spends an ungodly amount of time thinking about Doll, often find when analysing her.
Also, no, I don't think my point isn't invalid, as it was extremely vague; in that reblog I've literally stated "Pilot Doll wasn't a fully realised character yet, I'm sure Liam Vickers would have changed the scene if the development of her character was completed by that point".
"Changed" in this context can mean literally anything, like changing the facial expressions she's making in one frame, it doesn't necessarily mean a rewrite, and since you yourself have pointed out that she might not have been fully realised by the time of the pilot, I don't think that the concept art showing her using the Absolute Solver means much when I didn't even specify how the scene would have played out alternatively.

Fic Update! Bad Business: Ch. 12 A Place Called Heartland
Chapter 12:
A Place Called Heartland

To the childless wife he gives a home, and gladdens her heart with children.
- Ps. 113

[draft]
Hudson Hawk: Your Eye on Hudson
A BLOG
Bad Business in Hudson
If you've been following the local news lately — and it's hard not to — you'll be very aware of all the sinister events that have unfolded in our fair town over the past few weeks. Thanks to the dogged efforts of the Hudson Police and that of the neighbouring Calgary Metro Police, however, it looks like justice will prevail in the sordid murder and murder-for-hire cases that have come to light.
To recap: Mrs. Valerie Stanton of Briar Ridge Stables was shot to death while horseback riding up at Lookout Point. Also targeted for death was one Lisa Stillman of Fairfield Stables. One detail that came to light was that the horse Stanton was riding at the time of her death belonged to Stillman. This raised a troubling question: was Stillman the intended target with Stanton being the unfortunate victim of mistaken identity, or was it all a terrible hunting accident?
Nothing could have been further from the truth, as the culprits turned out to be much closer to home; their reasons much more disturbing. Facing various and sundry criminal charges are: Tanner Gunn, Theresa Haywood, Stanley Belmont, Jesse Stanton, and William Ulrich.
I know what you're probably wondering: Is Jesse Stanton related to Valerie Stanton? The answer is a resounding "Yes". He's the son of the same late Valerie Stanton, and Briar Ridge heir. He's been charged with soliciting a killer-for-hire to murder his mother. His reasons for so doing will probably come to light in the upcoming trial, or not. Whatever his reasons, what makes things all the more troubling is he decided to try to kill Lisa Stillman when the insurance payout for his mother's policy was held up due to the police investigation into her death.
Adam paused as he tried to summarize the facts of the case as he knew them. He stared at his laptop screen, wondering now if he had the right to be typing this story in his blog at all. After all, he knew the people involved. By now Georgie must have told the family at Heartland Ranch the Hudson Hawk was his chosen sobriquet.
An unconscious frown tugged at Adam's mouth. His conscience was nagging him. It had been easier when he could hide behind the anonymity of a screen name; he could pretend there was some distance between himself and the subject of his blog posts. Now...
So while he had the blessing of his parents to continue this blogging endeavour, Adam closed the file without saving it. Instead, he decided to check with Alberta Fish and Wildlife to see if they had anything new to report about the elusive bear that had been implicated in the attack on Herring and the man whose body he and Georgie discovered at the Dude Ranch. Doubtless when it was eventually found, it would be destroyed. Such would be the fate of any wild animal that targeted humans instead of other wild animals.

Somewhere on Highway 2, Due North.
"I'm glad she's finally feeling up to having visitors," Rachel said as Lou navigated the SUV to the hospital.
Lou glanced at her, then chanced a peek back at Ben, who was staring out the window at the passing scenery, seemingly lost in his own thoughts.
"It was driving me crazy having to wait," Rachel continued. "I still can't wrap my mind around everything that's happened. It's like some bizarre dream I'm waking up from. Well, nightmare is more like it. Thank God it's over."
"I can't believe everything that's happened, either," Lou quipped, thinking back to the night Amy shot Jesse, and how Chief Parker had been able to tell the rest of the family Lisa was alive.
Rachel's joy at learning her only sister had indeed survived the attempts on her life was tempered by the fact she had been led to believe the opposite.
"I thought I was coming out here to say 'goodbye' to her," Rachel commented, her voice just above a whisper. "I thought I was never going to see her again. And I know I shouldn't be upset the police couldn't tell us the truth right away—to protect her and all that—but I wish..."
"But it's gonna be okay now," Lou said reassuringly, filling in the silence when Rachel did not verbalize the rest of her train of thought. "She'll be so happy to see you two."
The rest of the family had elected to stay back at Heartland for the time being so as not to overwhelm the recovering patient. It was expected Lisa would be discharged within the week, anyway, and Georgie and Katie were already excitedly making plans for a 'Welcome Home' party of sorts, and the imminent arrival of Aunt Evelyn.
From his position in the backseat, Ben quietly spoke up: "I keep going over in my mind the time I spent at Briar Ridge. I remember being jealous of Jesse Stanton at the time because of all the 'toys' he had. He seemed to have anything and everything he wanted. I remember thinking how much I'd love to have a Ducati like his, and how my parents' splitting up meant I might be able to guilt one or both of them into getting me one. Then I thought, hey, maybe my rich aunt could. What she did buy was jumps for Red so I could practice at Heartland. It took me days to finally thank her. Days. What a shallow, ungrateful idiot I was.
"To think... to think Jesse was riding that same damned bike when he shot my aunt..."
"For what it's worth, Ben," Rachel eventually uttered with a smirk, "There's no way I would have been giving you a Ducati back then, no matter how guilty I felt about the divorce, and neither would your Aunt Lisa."

South Calgary Health Campus
Lou tapped her knuckles lightly on the door to Lisa's room.
"Yeah, come on in," Jack called from within.
Upon hearing this response, Lou let Ben and Rachel go ahead of her. Despite expecting this visit from her family, Lisa felt a lump forming in her throat at the sight of her sister and nephew, and instant tears flooded her eyes. Rachel crossed the floor quickly to her sister. Lisa readily received the gentle but fervent hug that lasted several seconds.
"Hey, Rachel," Lisa uttered. "Thanks for coming. I'm so glad to see you."
"I thought I'd lost you," Rachel murmured, voice choked with emotion as her eyes brimmed.
"I know," Lisa responded as Rachel released her. "I'm sorry. You know I never wanted to put you—any of you—through that. But the decision to keep you in the dark wasn't mine. I never wanted to cause you any grief—"
"We're just glad you're going to be okay, Aunt Lisa," Ben put in hurriedly, also approaching Lisa for a hug of his own.
"Ben," Lisa said warmly while accepting his embrace, "it's so good to see you."
"Ben's right," Rachel said. "All that matters is you're going to be okay. The people who did this to you are in custody and you're still with us. That's what's important. Oh, my goodness, let me look at you..."
Rachel spent a few moments taking in the bandage that still graced the left side of Lisa's forehead, and then noticed the sling on her arm. What she could not see beneath the hospital gown were the sutures sealing the incision where the chest tube had been inserted, and the additional bandage covering the patched-up bullet wound.
Shaking her head, Rachel said, "I'm so glad you're alive, sis. You look like you've been through hell and back."
"I feel like it, too," Lisa uttered wryly.
Jack rubbed her forearm in a comforting manner at this comment. He could not abide thinking she was in any discomfort.
"Rachel, I'd like you to meet Jack," Lisa said, motioning towards her husband.
"Jack," Rachel said with a wide smile, moving to hug the man her sister married. "At long last, we meet in person. I'm sorry it took something like this to bring us out here."
"Good to finally see you in person, too, Rachel," Jack said heartily, holding her tightly for a few moments before releasing her.
"Hi, Jack," Ben said, reaching over to shake the older man's hand. "It's been a while."
"Yes it has!" Jack rejoined, grasping his step-nephew's hand. "It's good to see you again, man."
"Jack... I want to thank you for being there for my sister when that monster tried to... you know..." Rachel trailed off. "You saved her life."
"Yes, Jack," Lisa said, sending a broad smile in his direction. "My hero..."
Jack did not wish to think about or speak any more of the night he found hitman Earl McCann trying to suffocate Lisa, so he quickly shifted the conversation to a more mundane topic.
"Well, I guess Aunt Evelyn should be getting in soon?" he asked, doing his best to sound upbeat about it.
"Yes, Grandpa," answered Lou, also sensing his discomfort about the former subject. "Her flight gets in tomorrow night."
"Oh, Aunt Evelyn," Lisa groaned, closing her eyes. "She'll never forgive me for putting her through all this!"
"Of course she will," Rachel rebutted. "I talked to her yesterday. Lisa, all she cares about is that you're alive and safe. You said it yourself: the decision to keep what was going on confidential wasn't in your hands. You were at death's door at the time, for heaven's sake! Nobody's blaming you."
At this, Lisa nodded. "Thanks, Rach. I needed to hear that."
"Anytime," Rachel said. "Someone's got to knock some sense into you."
"Right," Lisa said. "And thank you for not making cracks about my 'hard head'."
"Oh, rats! That was going to be my next joke," said Rachel, feigning disappointment.
"Well, I, for one, am glad for your 'hard head', Lis," Jack said with a small smile. He traced a thumb near the bandage below her hairline, once again so grateful the weapon Jesse had used was not as deadly as he intended it to be.

A Couple Days Later
Heartland Ranch
"They're here!" Katie cried excitedly, rushing from the porch into the house upon seeing Jack and Lisa pulling up into the yard.
"We're home, Lis," Jack said, putting the truck in park.
"Hmm," Lisa murmured, slowly peeling open her eyes. She had not intended to fall asleep during the drive home, but too many nights of poor sleep in the hospital meant her body craved rest. Jack's steady driving and the purr of the truck's engine proved to be a fairly good natural sedative.
"Wow, how long was I out?" she asked.
"About half an hour," Jack chuckled. "I didn't realise my company was that boring."
"Oh, you," Lisa said, realising he was jesting. Now that she was coming to full awareness after her brief nap, she finally noticed the yard was not quite as empty as it normally was. "Um, Jack... What's with all the cars and trucks..?"
"You have a lot of people who wanted to welcome you home, Lis," Jack explained. "Come on. Let's get you inside."
Jack opened the door on Lisa's side and carefully eased her down. "Slow and steady, now," he advised, gingerly supporting her on the way to the house.
Though she was feeling miles better than when she first woke in the hospital, Lisa allowed Jack this expression of care for her well-being. After all, she knew first-hand how challenging it could be when the person you loved most was resistant to help of any sort.
Almost as soon as she entered the house, Lisa was met by Evelyn.
"Darling," the older woman uttered, taking her niece's face in her hands before hugging her tenderly. "I'm so relieved you weren't taken from us like that... When Jack called me... oh, I thought my heart wouldn't be able to endure it. But you're here. It's a miracle."
"I'm so sorry I had to put you through that, Auntie," Lisa said sincerely.
"Nonsense," Evelyn stated flatly. "Lou and Rachel explained everything. The police did what they had to do to keep you safe and to flush out the guilty parties."
"Then I'm so glad you understand," said Lisa with relief.
"Jack, don't be a stranger," Evelyn chided, at last noticing him. "Come here. I want to kiss the man who saved my niece's life."
"Hello, Evelyn," Jack said, allowing her to give him a peck on the cheek.
Evelyn leaned in to Lisa. "Doesn't he ever shave, darling?" she asked in a low voice, though Jack managed to hear, anyway.
"Only when the mood strikes him," Lisa answered with a chortle, patting Jack's face playfully. "But I love him, anyway."
"Yes," Evelyn said seriously. "And he loves you. And that's really all that matters, isn't it?"
Tim approached just then. "Everybody's waiting in the living room," he announced, somewhat impatiently, then amended his tone. "Is Lisa okay?"
"I'm fine, Tim," Lisa replied. "I just didn't expect something like this when I got home."
"Let's go," Evelyn said perkily. "Can't keep your well-wishers waiting."
Lisa sank into the middle of the couch, deeply touched by the gathering of dear family and friends that afternoon. She was further impressed by the efforts Katie and Georgie put in to decorating the space to enhance the celebratory mood of her return home.
"Do you like what we did, Lisa?" asked Katie with expectant enthusiasm, grinning widely. Georgie stood by, also waiting to hear what Lisa would say.
"It's beautiful, both of you," Lisa responded, taking in the large 'WELCOME HOME, LISA' banner, streamers, balloons, and cheery tea lights. "This was so very thoughtful of you. So special."
Heartened by this praise, Katie zipped over to where Peter stood with Lou and happily told them that Lisa loved her handiwork.
Everyone took time to express to Lisa their happiness that she was going to be okay after her brushes with death. But there were two people in particular Lisa knew she was more than obliged to see and to publicly commend.
"Ty; Scott," Lisa spoke up, grabbing the attention of everyone. The two veterinarians looked uncomfortable under the sudden scrutiny of the others.
"I wouldn't be here if it weren't for your quick actions that day out on the road," said Lisa. "I don't remember any of it, but I'm eternally grateful you stopped and helped."
"Of course, Lisa," Ty said.
"We would have stopped for anyone in distress, Lisa," Scott added. "It just so happened we knew you."
Neither man was able to say anything further, as memories of that incident were still difficult and disturbing.
"We're just glad you made it, Lisa," Ty said.
"Right," Scott said in agreement.
"Thank you, both of you," Lisa said, once again fighting back tears.
An hour or so slipped by. Lisa could feel her energy starting to wane; friends such as Caleb, Jen, Mitch, and Scott made their departure. At length, only the family remained in the living room.
Before it got to be too late, and before Lou lost her nerve, there was something she had to get off her chest. "I know we don't always see eye-to-eye, Lisa," Lou said tentatively, "but the truth is you're very special to me, and to all of us here. It felt like losing my Grandma Lyndy and my mother all over again when we thought the worst had happened to you..."
Lou suddenly could not continue.
"I felt the same way, Lisa," Amy put in. "After my miscarriage, and after everything you shared with me, I was devastated at the prospect I was facing another personal loss... but you're here, and I'm so glad."
"And I..." Georgie started, but was unsure if she could continue. She looked to her mother, who nodded some encouragement. "I didn't know what to think of you when I first met you, Lisa. I thought you were some rich snob who was going to take Jack's time and attention away from me—"
"Oh, Georgie, honey..." Lisa murmured.
"I never got to say I was sorry for that," Georgie went on in a rush. "And Lisa, I'm sorry for all the mean things I said about you. I'm so sorry. I-I never knew my grandparents or my great-grandparents, for that matter, but you've been everything I could have ever wanted in a great-grandmother, and more."
"Thank you for that," Lisa said, eyes misting, looking at the family that had been grafted onto her heart. "Thank you all. And I want you to know I feel the same way. You know, I had a full life before I met Jack. A life I thought I loved. I thought I was living my dream life. But I look back now and see I didn't realise how sad and empty my heart was. I love you all very much. My life and my heart are full now."
***
Later that Evening
Dinnertime was over. Jack helped settle an exhausted Lisa into bed where she dropped off to sleep in minutes. It was early still, and after all the social activity of the day, Jack decided he needed to clear his head for a bit, so he brewed a cup of tea and escaped to the porch.
He had been there only a few minutes when he heard the sure creak of the door. Someone was coming outside and he turned expectantly to see who it was.
"There you are," Rachel said to Jack, softly closing the screen door while exiting the house.
"Hi, there," Jack said amiably from his position on the porch bench. "Have a seat."
"Thank you," Rachel said, and joined him. A few seconds later, she added: "It's every bit as lovely here as Lisa and Ben described, Jack."
Jack merely nodded.
"We haven't had a chance to really talk yet," said Rachel.
"No, we haven't," Jack said in agreement, though he wondered what Rachel might want to talk about.
"It's years too late, but I want to thank you for offering to put Ben up when I was going through my divorce," Rachel said. "At first, I wasn't thrilled with the idea when Lisa told me that 'plans had changed'; that he wasn't going to be at Fairfield; that he was going to be boarding at some place called 'Heartland'. But after Ben got over his own issues, he admitted he actually didn't mind this place so much, and he was sorry he didn't appreciate it enough at the time."
Jack nodded again, thinking back to how sullen Ben had been in those days. "Divorce is never easy on anyone, especially when there's kids in the mix," he said, remembering some of the ways Lou and Amy struggled to cope in the wake of Tim and Marion's divorce.
"I love my sister to bits, Jack," Rachel said. "She's my big sister, you know? I idolized her growing up. I was relieved she would be the one to take over the family business because I sure didn't want to be responsible for it. She seemed to be happy when she married Dan and moved to the U.S., but we both know how that all turned out. That time in her life changed her, Jack, and not for the better. I wish only happiness and love for her, and I'm so glad you're in her life, because it's clear you're the one who can provide those things for her."
"Well, I'm glad she's in my life, too," Jack admitted, though that hardly covered the length and the breadth and the height of things when it came to expressing how he felt about his wife.
"I don't know what fair wind blew you two together," Rachel said, "but I pray you two stick together."
"That's the plan," Jack said, thinking back to that evening at the Open House when he first laid eyes on Lisa Stillman. Never in a million years would he have guessed what the future would bring him after that chance encounter.
"You wouldn't happen to have a brother who's just like you out there somewhere, eh, Jack?" Rachel said with a laugh.
"No, no. Just me," Jack responded with a smile and a quick laugh of his own. "I think they broke the mold when they made me."
Rachel looked over at him, seeing his features in the light streaming from the kitchen window. "I think you're right about that, Jack. My sister is a very lucky woman."
"I think I am the lucky one," Jack said with sincerity. How many people get a second chance at love in their lives?
"Yeah..." Rachel said. "Well, goodnight, Jack. Thanks for loving my sister the way you do. You've saved her life in more ways than you'll ever know."
The younger Stillman sister leaned over and gave Jack a kiss on the cheek.
"Goodnight, Rachel," Jack replied.

𝐓𝐎𝐉𝐈 𝐅𝐔𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐔𝐑𝐎: humiliation + degrading
ღ Humiliation kink: I think everyone knows he's into degrading but let's talk about how Toji would definitely have his fair share of humiliation ( sadist ). Sex in the public? yes. Fucking you in the mirror. yes. Fucking you against the window of his high-rise apartment on the very top floor? yes. In fact he would drive insane from the pleasure he would feel from the high chances of both you and him getting caught. There was one time when Toji decided to take you out to a fancy dinner because he wanted to "get out the house" and of course your innocence believed it.
You thought it would be a quick little date of both you and him talking over some overpriced food and wine. Wrong. Of course, Toji didn't just pick the table in the far back just to talk to you about your day. Poor Toji just wanted to experience one of the many things on his bucket list and that's eating you out while the waiter takes your order. Be happy he didn't pick a table in the middle of the restaurant.
ღ Degrading: Now let's speak about Toji and Degrading. It's such a dangerous combo. He would Mutter phrases like "stupid fuckin' slut. You're that fucking cock hungry? Takin' me in whole I see" or when you whine out "it's too much m'cant take it" in the pillow he's pounding you in. Toji can sometimes go a little too far by accident. We all know Toji fushiguro does not know when to filter his mouth even if he tried his hardest.
He would go a little overboard when it comes to degrading. Bringing up your insecurities or soft subjects you really don't enjoy talking about. Toji usually struggles with soft words, speaking about how he feels or even showing kind jester's. And since your his first love he really apologizes when he goes to far since he have the fear of loosing you
𝐒𝐔𝐊𝐔𝐍𝐀: size kink + overstimulation
ღ Size kink: Sukuna secretly enjoys the size difference. Doesn't matter your weight, size, or height sukuna would always feel the need to "overpower you". you, he can't help but compare how small you are to him. He also Love's it when you ride him, he also would fondle with your breast while you're at it. Kissing and teasing them is always a must. Sukuna also loves watching you struggle to take his fat girth which brings out his dominate side more than anything. He grunts when he tries to push his girth in between your wet folds since your so tight, even after the many times the two of you had sex it still amazes him how you fit so tight around him. When sukuna is holding You think he's just showing affection when he's caressing and massaging against your stomach in reality he's just measuring how far his cock can go before touching your cervix once again.
ღ Overstimulation: Sukuna can't also always have what he wants, but he can't help himself but to keep going when you came around his cock 3 times in the last 30 minutes. Overstimulation and sukuna is a bad combo. He won't stop until you begging, telling him you can't cum anymore. He still managed to make you cum an extra 2 times. Too bad sukuna always get's what he wants. Sukuna would have you pinned down on your stomach on the bed while eating you out doggy style. You don't know what's making sukuna go so angry and crazy for doing something like this unexpectedly. He made you cum 3 times already in the span of 20 minutes.
Nanami kento: bondage + dracryphillia
ღ Bondage: it took quite a while for Nanami to find the kink’s that really turned him on. It started when you decided to stop by your husbands office to drop off his lunch that you unfortunately forgot to pack for him to take with him. When you arrived nanami was very stressed and frustrated: so like any other perfect wife would do you, you decided to help him take his mind off things. Nanami used his tie to tie around your wrist and to bend you over his formal desk area before fucking you in obliviation. Nanami actually really enjoys the view, he also really loves how it gives him all the power in the world for him to throw you around like a sex toy.
ღ dracryphillia: Nanami know’s it’s wrong, but he honestly can’t help it. You look so pretty when you cry and nanami can’t hold back. Whether it’s edging you, fucking you, overstimulating you it doesn’t matter nanami will do anything to watch fat tears roll down your cheeks. Nanami also enjoyed it when you cry giving him a blowjob. When he purposely shoved his length a little to far for your liking causing you to cry from the impact that Nanami knows good and well you can’t take. He almost felt bad when he watched your cheeks get stained with your warm tears. Almost.
𝐆𝐎𝐉𝐎: hate sex & Voyeurism
ღ Hate sex: hate sex is the best sex. Gojo is the type to purposely argue with you, specifically getting you riled up because he did something he clearly knows you told him not to do. Here's how it started, you specifically told gojo to NOT interrupt you since today you're working from home. You reminded him for a week straight prior to this important zoom call that was being taken in the home office. Gojo just couldn't help it though. He would hate to admit it but seeing you in formal clothes was definitely a new kink for the growing man.
Gojo knew what he was getting himself into when he would prouposlj budge in asking dumb questions during your zoom meeting. Saying "where's the toolbox at?" even though the two of you never owned one to begin with. Or "can you help me which tie to where for work?" Gojo hates ties and dressing up. So all theese shannaginvs were really blowing you. It came to the point where the boss had grew tired of you turning off your camera and mic every 5 seconds. One in which you forgot to turn off when you cursed out gojo. After that meeting you didn't talk to gojo the rest of the day, neither the next day. He apologized so many times with his kisses and affection saying he was just bored. And so, for having him to appologize gojo and you had the best hate sex there was. Just to apologize by having sex or just simply fucking and getting it over with. It never fails, It always works.
ღ Voyeurism: Piggybacking off the previous, gojo enjoy’s fucking you while your on the phone. He can’t help it, it’s something about the excitement & risk that gets him off, he really can’t help it. There was once when your mother called and gojo just couldn’t keep his hands off of you as he promised he’ll keep quiet. There was also another time when your ex called; which of course made satoru furious but that didn’t stop him from making you ride his face while he was on the phone, but this time he wouldn’t keep quiet. He wanted the prick on the other side of the line to get the memo and fuck off. He placed his tongue and all your sweet spot’s knowing you couldn’t hold back and forbidden you to hang up.
When satoru heard how your ex was begging for you to come back and to ditch whoever you were with it made satoru very annoyed and pissed, which caused him to start fucking you while he was still on the phone. Unfortunate for your behalf you let out a few moans which caused your ex to think you were getting off to him. When it clearly wasn’t the case at all. Maybe satoru should record you and send a video to him so the damn prick can back off of what’s his.
Naoya zenin: brat taming.
ღ brat taming: Naoya loves being in control. He want’s to be the one that call the shots whether that’s not allowing you to cum, overstimulating you or even edging you. He rarely, and I mean rarely allow’s you to control him but when it happen’s naoya completely bottom’s out which is why he rarely allows you to take control. Naoya enjoy’s making you pissed, hell purposely get you rolled up, act’s naive when your needy, purposely get’s you to do stuff he told you not to do to then give him a reason to be in control and put you in your place.
Suguru geto: praise + breeding kink
ღ Praise: Suguru loves you. He loves everything about you and that’s where the praise comes in. He’s obsessed with you in every way possibly which is why suguru has a very very strong praise kink for you. He know’s you have you doubt’s about the relationship the two of you share but he makes sure to prove them all wrong while the two of you are making love. Whether that’s constantly telling you how much he love you, saying how good your taking him or even saying how much of a “good girl” you are to him.
ღ Breeding kink: it’s just something about the way suguru can’t pull out when he’s about to cum. Yes suguru pull out game is weak but having a couple kids with him couldn’t be that bad. Suguru fucks you in a full mating press as he can’t stop fantasizing of filling your cunt up with loads of cum. It’s a risk that gets him off knowing that there is a high chance you can get pregnant if he keep it up. Suguru would groan just of the mere thought of it — you walking around the house swollen with his kids, your kids. As your breast are constantly growing sore and swollen just waiting for the comfort of his hands.

Quick thoughts after new chapter. Obviously slight spoilers.
- BATH SCENE ASFGSGHEFETGEHDGHDFGWEUIW *unhuman screams* just can't stop looking at that CG and back to work
- Lucio has the scar that looks suspiciously similar to one from self-harm or suicidal attempt. Maybe it is not, but it was my first thought when I saw it. (Maybe I just like angst too much and wish to think so. But I can quite imagine how he perform that kind of act being delirious and despaired after an amputation, clamping the dagger between his knees or holding it in his teeth, thinking as his life is ruined and beind mad that he even not beeing able to do it properly now. After all he came to thought that it was definitely not his brightest idea trying to cut himself in the medical tent being surrounded by doctors)
- Lucio doesn’t know how to calm himself down on his own when he is overwhelmed. Perhaps this is some root of his bad temper and explosive behavior (yelling, broking, damaging and throwing things when he needs to vent, as it is his only available option)
- Lucio is the good swimmer after all
- They have knowing not only about trains in their world (trains was mentioned in the last Muriel’s chapter) but also about wrist watch. That looks like that they live in some kind of steampunk world lol If not to think that it is just anachronism and carelessness in writing the script.
- Okay, I think I suddenly have a little crush on Valdemar now. As if it was too easy for me before 😂
- BATH SCENE. Fine, it’s inevitable. I cannot not to speak about it. I have a post in my drafts about it with some thoughts that it looks like Nadia categorically does not intend to offer her private bathroom to Lucio as she did it in others routes (I've expected this scene before the Masquerade, as I find it quite reasonable if they were send to take a bath before the party after all that Lazareth stuff, but.. they did't) as she had some bad previous experience, like Lucio might bathed with his dogs and use all luxury shampoo for them (because his babies are deserve all the best!). Buuut... well, cannon balls are not any better. So yes, she obviously had her reasons 😆 //And as it shows the option with separate bathing in the chapter, I was right! He is truly bathing with dogs :)
- When the new chapter comes out I always play it several times to see all the options. And gosh, I really don’t remember if I ever felt myself that bad before the choice as now on “Free me” option (I even needed to stop game and took several deep breath before I could keep reading after the choice. Too damn hard for my poor heart lol). But you know what? With choosing that option the chapter becomes much longer! And more interesting in a way. And this is an opportunity to meet the rest of the characters that have not appeared yet (though only Julian got a line, but I'm still glad). And dialogues after reunification with Lucio? Omg, I've totally melted. It is so amazing. So I definitely recommend to try that plot option - pure, 100% hurt/comfort as it is.
//sorry, too lazy for properly name edit this time
- And I’m sure that it was already mentioned but since it is obviously by now that Lucio and MC are completely interchangeable in the ritual it's reveals almost undoubtedly that Lucio represents the Fool arcana. Congrats to all who believed and hoped :)
#the arcana#count lucio#lucio update#the arcana game#lucio's route#quaestor valdemar#i'm dead thank you very much

I went and bought as many as I could. Thank you for publishing these! I still feel like I should Paypal you more money for such quality fiction though. Actually, I read the version posted of Sundown, Holiday, Beacon on AO3 - it's phenomenal. I am so excited to read more about them - I saw that you'd published a full series on them. I can't wait to read it! I'm about halfway through Character Bleed right now, it's keeping me alive - your work is fantastic.
(I do have a Paypal, but you don’t have to! *laughs* But thank you for wanting to!! <3333)
“Sundown” is so interesting, because it exists in at least three versions! There’s the version I first wrote, which was the version I put up on AO3 (which, by the way, was essentially a single draft - I didn’t revise other than a couple word-repetition or too-long sentence edits, before posting) - it was always intended for a polyamory anthology call for submissions, but THEN I went and looked at the guidelines again and went, “oh no, they say not to do super-explicit sex scenes, and, um...”
So then I revised it once (basically did a fade-to-black and then came back in for the aftermath) and sent that version in, though it made me sad to do it - I really love the sex scene in that one; it’s so much about character!
And it got accepted, and went through a round of editorial revision, some of which really did help (establishing ages earlier, properly describing Ryan’s hero costume, clarifying timeline) and some that I was not thrilled about (they wanted to fade to black even earlier than where I’d had it, for the sex scene - but then we lost descriptions of their bedroom etc, which matters for character, like John keeping Robbie’s dog tags! We did some back-and-forth on that one until we could both feel good about it). And that version got published in the anthology. And I got paid, and people seemed to like it. (If you have the anthology, which is now out of print, I believe, you have that version.)
And THEN that whole publisher closed. And all the rights reverted to me. And in the meantime I’d written most of the draft of the first sequel, which is really more of a meet-the-parents character study. I’d talked to that publisher about it, but we hadn’t done anything about publication yet.
So I went to my *other* (and current) publisher, and said, “I have the rights back to this, and there’s probably at least one sequel, but also I want to revise it and put back my sex scene” and they said YES, TOTALLY, HERE’S A CONTRACT.
So the version published with JMS Books is the “author’s preferred text” version, I’d say? Incorporating the *good* changes from the first round of publication, but with the sex scene - and the attendant emotions + fun with superpowers! - put back, the way I’d originally written it. :-)
...and, Character Bleed - I love those characters and that story so very much. I keep accidentally writing extra bonus scenes. They’re some of the most ‘alive’ in my head, out of all my characters and stories - I suspect you can tell, reading it! I have so much weird random headcanon. (Jason, kind of amazingly, has never broken an arm or leg - toes yes, cracked ribs yes, a ton of bruises and sprains and wrenched things and close calls, but no broken limbs. His sister, however - who didn’t go into the family stunt business - once broke her arm falling off a bicycle.) (Colby learned to cook after, oh, the third time his parents had a dinner or an event or something and went out for the night, possibly even away for the week, and forgot to give the staff any instructions about feeding him - the staff maybe even assumed Colby had also gone along with them. Young!Colby decided to solve the problem by finding the kitchen and teaching himself to cook. Could he have ordered food, since he had a credit card and a total lack of parental oversight? Sure. But Colby’s decision-making process is basically, “well, it’s probably best if I learn to be self-sufficient, and that way I won’t have to cause any bother for anyone, and I’m curious about learning new things in any case...”)
(Jason has a lot of Feelings about that story, especially after Colby casually adds, “I recall there was one time I cut myself quite badly with a knife, and I tried to find bandages and fix it, and that wasn’t working well, and most of the staff had gone for the night, and I finally gave up and called the night security person because I didn’t know who else to ask, and I wasn’t terribly clear about explaining, so the poor man came charging in from his post all afraid someone’d broken in and stabbed the ambassador’s son...of course I was fine, he was excellent at first aid, and now it’s one of those amusing stories people have!” Jason: “AMUSING IS NOT THE WORD I WOULD USE HERE.”)

a small preview of the continuation of the sugar daddy au, this is the UNEDITED first draft of this scene. i intend on rewriting it before i post it. but i wanted to share!
The first meeting with Laurent had been at a coffee shop downtown. Damen had only communicated with Laurent via email, and even then, they hadn’t talked much. After Damen accepted, he’d received an address for a tiny cafe and was told to meet him there. Despite how Damen replied, he got nothing back from Laurent.
But Laurent had an account on that website, with one picture uploaded, enough to show that he was, most likely, a decent looking young man. He had sharp cheekbones and buttercup blond hair, with blue eyes that pierced Damen even through the computer screen. He wasn’t smiling in the picture, it was just a plain-faced selfie. His profile also said he was merely twenty years old, which made Damen wonder why on earth a guy so young was willing to put himself in position of sugar daddy.
Thousands of reasons raked through Damen’s imagination. Maybe he was bad at making friends, worse at dating. Maybe he was in a pinch, and needed a fake boyfriend, asap, and this really was a fake dating scheme like Nikandros suggested. Maybe he was a total ass, and no one else would accompany him to events.
Damen scanned the cafe for a blond head and sharp cheekbones he’d seen in the photo. It was easy to pick him out, and Damen found him sitting in the corner with a book and an iced coffee. He was even more handsome in person.
He has lovely hair that Damen found himself wanting to rake his hands through, and fair skin without a single blemish or flaw. And sharp cheekbones that framed his round face. He was exactly Damen’s type. This agreement suddenly seemed like a bad idea.
“Hello,” he said as he stepped up to Laurent's table. “Laurent de Vere, right?”
“Yes,” he said cooly, setting down his book in exchange for looking up at Damen. “I see you've found me.”
“You told me to meet you here.”
“I was half hoping you'd get lost,” he said, bringing up his iced coffee to sip from it.
Damen raised an eyebrow at him, not sure what his game was. He took a seat across from him, which caused Laurent to tilt his head.
“No coffee?” He asked.
“I can't… afford it.”
That caused Laurent reach into his pocket and pull out his wallet. He handed Damen a bill and waved him off. “Get whatever you like.”
“Are you--”
“Yes,” he interrupted, “I’m sure.”
Damen sat awkwardly for a moment, looking down at the large bill and feeling uncomfortable. He felt, for a second, like he’d back out, and for another second, like taking the bill and running. But in the end, he got up, bought a hot coffee, and returned the table with it.
Laurent watched him with the same intensity that one might watch paint dry. His eyes were glittering with thought, but the rest of his expression remained neutral and untelling.
It was Damen who spoke first. “So… You need someone to attend events with you,” he said, tapping his fingers along his coffee in a fit of discomfort.
“Yes. You will attend all sorts of events with me. I assume you know how to behave in respectable company?”
Damen rolled his eyes. “Yes.”
“Perfect. You will be presented as my boyfriend, then. And in return, I’ll spoil you in gifts. When you want something, you will send me an email stating what it is you want and I will pay for it.”
Damen frowned. So this was just a fake dating scheme. Nikandros was right. “That’s fine.”
Laurent looked at him intently, eyes narrowing in thought. His eyes were piercing, like a knife. It made Damen shrink under their gaze. “You really are terrible at hiding your displeasure,” Laurent eventually said.
It took Damen all his might to clear his face of an expression. “What do you mean?” he asked.
He could see him physically restrain the roll of his eyes. “We’re going to meet again on Friday. I will pick you up, and you will join me at a party. This is the kind of event where you’ll need your best suit. Understood?”
“Understood,” Damen agreed, and then a realization dawned on him. He felt his face twist in displeasure, lips curling downward in a frown.
“What? Not a fan of high class events?”
“That isn’t it,” Damen said, knowing it was too late to pretend nothing was the matter.
“Then? Out with it.”
“Well it’s just…” he bit his lip, “I don’t own a suit anymore.”
A look of disdain came across Laurent’s face, as if he’d been looking at something that he didn’t particularly like. And that something was Damen. “What happened to your suit?”
“I sold it,” Damen confessed, thinking back to when it father was in the hospital, and he was scrambling to get any finances he could together.
“Why on earth would you do that?” Laurent asked, and Damen could see the recoil before he covered it up.
“My father was in the hospital,” he started, “I needed money.”
Laurent's expression softened to something understanding and cool. “I see. Well, I will just buy you a new suit.”
Damen was taken by surprise. He knew what he was signing up for, but that didn't soften the blow of being bought new things by someone he didn't know. It was a strange feeling. But Laurent is taking out his phone and soon after Damen's phone is buzzing. He takes it out to find a text from Laurent, stating and address.
“Go there, tell them it's on my tab. They probably won't believe you, in which case, tell them to call me.”
Damen blinked. “And you're sure this is okay?”
“Well I can't have you showing up looking like you are now.”
Damen scowled, thinking how unfortunate it was that someone with such a foul personality could be so good looking. “Well. If you insist it’s alright, then I’m for it.”
“Good. Then it’s settled.” Laurent drummed his fingers along his cup of coffee. “You may go. We’ll meet again Friday.”
