being a simple university student, you had simple pleasures - getting drunk on the weekend, binge watching tv shows, and a more strange one, online chess. you liked watching people play, you liked playing yourself, you loved the strategy aspect. on some websites you played on, there was the option of livestreaming your chess game - no faces or voices, but people could chat alongside you playing, and you enjoyed seeing input on your games.

one day you were playing a particularly tricky game, being forked from practically the get go, and being the victim of many pawn trades, you were definitely on a losing streak, even if you were just playing against a bot. it was being streamed, but there were only four people watching, not that embarrassing right? especially because it was hidden behind a chess username and no one knew who you were anyways, so it didn't really matter.

so when a comment came in,

ATV: i wouldn't have played rook to f4 there, leaves an opening for a three move check :)

your head tilted a little, turning back to the game and furrowing your eyebrows, trying to figure what they had meant - and they were right, the move was a little careless and it could lead to checkmate.

you nodded to yourself, trying to amend the damage by playing your bishop defensively, to which another comment came in.

ATV: sorry for backseat gaming here, but you could have check in two

you smiled a little more at the comment, placing one hand on your chin and the other on your mouse, following some moves for what must have been fourty-five seconds before you clicked, they were right again. you made the move, the bot making its response, defending also, before in a few short moves, the game was over, you had won by check.

youruser: @/ATV thank you! i still kinda suck after playing for so long lmao

youruser: @/ATV sure! i'll add you now :P

so you added them, and they requested a game. in the chatbox on the side, you saw another message just as they had moved their first piece.

he moved with an unusual polish opening, so you played traditional and tried to take control of the centre. within a few minutes, he had one of your pawns pinned, and had taken another.

youruser: damn you're actually really good

youruser: well i mean me too but still, you're smoking me

the first thing that shocked you was what he looked like: you didn't know what you were expecting but you didn't think it was going to be him.

he was... attractive, you had to admit, and your eyes had widened once you had seen him.

the second thing that shocked you was his followers, and his bio - he was a youtuber?

classically, you had to be nosy and follow the links to his youtube, your eyebrows raised a little as you looked at his channel, giggling to yourself, he did commentary on reality tv? you hadn't seen that before, but once you watched a video, you realised he was funny, too. he made it funny, despite the fact that you had at first felt it was the strangest youtube topic ever.

reading what the new yorker has to say about george and how he radiates utter stillness (very hot) has given me so many ideas, like imagine him with someone who has the absolute shortest fuse ever. idk maybe while he believes in quiet, stoic intimidation, girlie (a foot shorter than him) just gets into a bar fight. maybe she sees a couple of much older men getting a bit too comfy with young girls just trying to have a fun night and she's ready to throw hands. firm believer that george has to actually pick her up and take her away so she doesn't get arrested. also a firm believer of the fact that he finds it insanely attractive and shows it to her quite generously

you're drunk. its fucking great and you're having an amazing time. the music is loud. everyone is dancing. you're grinding on some girl you havent ever met, dont even know, and your boyfriend and his bandmates are all at the bar, sipping beers and laughing at you. with the exception of matty who is right there on the dancefloor with you, jumping around and pumping his fist.

ugh george. you love him. you love his face. his cheek bones. his smile when he laughs at you. you give him a cute little wave and he winks at you, barely moving apart from that. then you go back to dancing. god life is good.

you've lost the girl you were dancing with before but you dance with matty for a bit, his curls bouncing, you whooping, egging him on, and him grabbing your hands and spinning you around. when he does, he takes a step back and accidentally nudges a girl behind him, and her and her friends turn to you both, you meeting their eyes as you finish you spin.

matty holds his hands up, "sorry, sorry,"

they glare at him. you pull matty away and start dancing again, saying sorry yourself. the girls turn away. they sip thier drinks. but they aren't moving. thier standing on the dance floor. not dancing. there is plenty of space over by the bar to stand, if they want. you wave at george again, who is standing in the space, like a good boy.

oh well. fuck them. you're having a good night. you just wish they would stop glaring at you, because they are again, in between the gaps matty's arms make. you spin him around so your back is to them instead, so they wont get upset with him again if he nudges them, because he might, because he is drunk too.

you dont know if your feet actually land on hers, you dont feel it, and okay they might have, but the girl yells out.

"erm. ow!" she says. you turn around.

"sorry," you say again, even though you're not even sure you touched her.

"you stood on my foot," she says.

"i'm sorry," you say again, not sure what she wants you to do.

"you should be a bit fucking more careful, you know."

you breathe in. you were being careful. but thats not the point. its a dance floor. in a club. it's one in the morning. and they are standing on it. you start to burn, in your chest, angry.

"you know there is plenty of space over there if you dont wanna dance," you say, pointing to the bar. george notices you point. his attention pricks. he looks over to where you are talking to a group of girls and one of them is giving you a dirty look.

"we can stand where we want thanks," she says. "just like you act like a twat wherever you are."

"woah, alright," matty says, stopping dancing.

"what's this guy's problem anyway?" the girl says, looking round at her friends.

"we don't have a problem," matty says.

"we might," you say, staring at her. george has put his beer down on the side. ross is already primed, ready to watch it, if needs be.

"no no, just go back to dancing," matty says, smiling big at the girls.

"go back to standing in everyone's fucking way you mean," you say.

"shut the fuck up," the girl says, stepping closer to you.

you're in it now, you can't back down, you cant let this girl win. you step towards her too.

"i'll do what i like, thanks though."

the girl shoves you. everyone around you moves. you're reaching out to shove her, and before you know it, george is in the crowd with you, hand on your shoulder and waist, firm, looking down at the girl that shoved you. she has to look up to see his face.

"everything okay here?" he says, mainly to the other girl.

she nods. but she's smirking. she looks back at her friends, smirking. you lunge, out of his protective grasp, towards her. she steps back, trips a little, spills her pink drink all down her white dress. you dont reach her. georges arms have got you again, but this time, he is lifting you into the air.

"come on," he says, "be the bigger person,"

"i dont want to," you say squirming. the girl is crying, looking down at her ruined dress while all the other girls flock around her and fawn over her.

"dont have to," george says, nudging you to look at her, sobbing. you smirk.

george turns to carry you out, but before he does, he turns back to the girls and says, almost monotone, "ladies, if you're not gonna dance, dont stand on the dancefloor. it's good advice"

and then you're both gone, into the night air, into your boyfriend's arms.

i own crime and punishment by fyodor dostoevsky. ive held that book in my hands. ive seen how big that book is. ive read like. a handful of pages.

early on when writing i had a cute idea of learning how to book-bind to make myself a physical copy of it and now i cant do it. thats so long. i'd need to split it into two parts. or three. or by chapter.

ive been writing this fic for a year this month and i still can't believe durgetash of all things has made me write a book LONGER than crime and punishment.

it's a treat for you guys who want a long fic to settle into but i can't comprehend that this is something i've done (and i do really enjoy reading comments of people who binge read the fic in a few days. shoutout to my friend who said she was going to wait for me to finish the fic and then decided to read the fic in smth like 2 days?? 3 days?? youre insane for that)

i didnt plan for it to get so long!!! im incapable of writing a short and sweet story!! it blows my mind every time i see the word count grow!! i edit! i cut things out! there's scenes that had to be scrapped because i said to myself "this is getting too long" it makes me go aaaaaaaaaa!!

it's looking like we may hit just under 300k words when it's properly finished. i need to go bury myself under some dirt for a year

also in the early days i was writing 10k words A WEEK!!! i had a weekly-ish upload schedule!!!!! what's wrong with me!!!! now im taking my time to make sure i dont burn out but oh my god. past me you are mad.

Goodbye? I don't think so. I hope not. A very, very long rant about storage (🙄), simblr and whatever the fuck else I go on about for a few paragraphs. Skip to the end at the gold text for a more.... "definitive" answer. Especially if you want to skip the nitty gritty and sappy wappy.

i dont know what to do anymore, I freed up 18 GBs of space it all managed to go down the drain in literally an hour, Im moving my blender things to my external HDD, because that alone is 20 GBs (because of Scene sizes), I just hate to free up the space because I dont want it to go right back down. This all sucks cuz I really really enjoy being on Simblr, but sims 4 just continues to be a nuisance, whether its actual problems or its storage problems, it just always finds a way, every year, to get me to suddenly decide that im retiring until my next bout of Sims 4 hyperfixation. I love all of you guys and I love seeing how you all enjoy my work, and what I do, and I love seeing your stuff, you all make such amazing creations, granted if I stopped playing TS4, it wouldnt mean I have to stop interacting on simblr, it just wouldnt be the same. A pattern I notice anytime I start a social media platform, is that something always finds its way into completely demotivating me from posting, whether it's just literal lack of motivation, depression, realizing a project is too vast for me, storage problems, it's always something and it's always when I finally get comfortable or happy on a platform, especially after making friends, not that im saying my friends are one of the reasons I leave, thats far from it. I REALLY dont wanna take a break from Sims 4, I really really genuinely wanna start posting my story (W.A.S), but I'm not like a Sims 4 youtuber, I can't remain dedicated to one game, I play other games, I wanna play the Witcher games (or at least try to play them, I kinda suck rn), I wanna finish Detroit become human, I want to 100% Beyond two souls (and DBH), I wanna finish Disco elysium (started and never fucking finished 💀), I want to play Baldur's Gate 3, I mean, I purchased it at full price and I can't even play the game??... 😮‍💨 You get the point. At this point I wouldn't consider this a "goodbye," note, not... necessarily? I just get so frustrated having no storage, not to mention the fact that I need storage to literally do the stuff I do, like make edits, make poses, make renders, so the fact that I can't even do that, is just like... what's the point of even having Sims 4 anymore at that point? But I don't wanna leave simblr, I don't want to stop creating. It's funny, as I write this, I continue to give myself more and more of a reason to leave, the only real thing that's stopping me is just the fact that there's so many nice people here, I know that if I stopped playing the sims 4, I'd probably move onto another game (BG3................,,,,,..) and leave tumblr, or, at least leave Simblr. Which as I (think) said before, that's sad, I'd be sad, I'd miss people like Lori (groovetrys) and Lauren (miralure), June (circusjuney), Jade (gamyrmaiden), Anna (holocene-sims), butter (buttertrait), Fae (acuar-io), Verco (vercosims) and god, so many others, and sorry to break the atmosphere suddenly, but as I'm writing this, I'm listening to "In another life," from Everything everywhere all at once and it's making this very emotional for me, so if it gets sappy I apologize.

And I guess to be... insanely honest, as much as I want to release my story (trust me, I REALLY want to), I'm slowly beginning to realize more and more how not-easy it's gonna be to make scenes, writing it is fine for me, its just setting up the scenes feels like i'm forbidden to a life of staring at a bunch of words (pose names) trying to figure out what's what, where is what, what to do, where is where, who is who, who is what, how is what, how and why, need I continue. Storytelling is so insanely important to me, I believe that despite how little I read and despite how terrible of a student I have been, and despite how poor my literature skills are, that storytelling is still so important, fuck it, poetry has been such an inspiration for me, but I don't fucking know how to write poetry?? I can barely understand poetry at times, but it's still all so beautiful to me, the concept and the fact that people use metaphors so meticulously to create an allegory for something beautiful, or traumatic or sad, like in not so berry, the concept of an ocean being alexanders "love," and cataleya drowning in it, and her realizing she's drowning in his "love," but when she wants to leave, she really wonders if she actually wants to leave, to conceptualize and create this awful relationship in the means of an ocean is so... well, not beautiful in a reality sense, but in a technical/literary sense, it's beautiful, it's expression, and THATS what im passionate about. Remember what I said about getting sappy? Yea, sorry about that. After a while, I wonder what good repeating myself does, I've said about 5 or 6 times that I don't want to leave, yet here I am, with the mouse over the uninstall button like an idiot about to press the big "DON'T TOUCH" button, perhaps it's the idea that after repeating myself over and over again, that maybe I'll make up my mind, do I do a coin flip? I never listen anyways, I always continue to flip until it lands on what I like. So... why am I still writing? To be honest, I should've stopped by now, but you can only stop a dam so much before it all comes out. I do this with my friends, when I'm sad, I pour my heart out until it's a repetitive and overcooked version of "I'm sad." I write paragraph after paragraph and I literally could've just said "I don't have storage. Considering leaving simblr," and the same message would've gotten across, and I apologize, if you're still reading this, for making such a lengthy post, but I couldn't quite help spilling a bit of water everywhere, although I guess now my little puddle of water has become a flood. I use metaphors a lot, I apologize... again.

So what does all this bullshit that I typed out mean?

I don't know. I wonder the same myself, I'm fighting a battle more fierce than the one I had with my period last week, "Do I uninstall Sims 4 so I can have more freedom, and enjoy more content? or do I continue this rigorous battle of needing storage for the sake of a tumblr page, my enjoyment for writing and other shit I do in the sims 4?" I cannot say I will take a hiatus, because I will procrastinate, and I will forget completely about posting, and tumblr in general. I do still, at the very least, want to release my Official Teaser for my story, whether it be my last post or not, and at the very least, I want to introduce you to the characters, whether it be my last post(s) or not. Not to mention the fact that I want to continue sharing about Roo even if it's not about sims 4 anymore, I mean hell, I haven't even finished off the Leo and Roo part of his timeline.

For an INCREDIBLY watered down answer on whether or not this is goodbye, I say to you, not in this moment, not definitive enough for you yeah? Well, that's the thing, I don't have a definitive answer, you could fucking tear apart this entire college essay mat-pat style, and still not have a definitive fucking answer, and that's because I don't, sorry to all the people who don't want to listen to me rant or who want a clear answer, but I just don't have one. I've been known to make impulsive and on the whim (when I'm really emotional) decisions, and this is a situation where I don't want to do that, because I care about what I have here with ya'll.

And towards your partner, I COMPLETELY understand. I remember finishing TOTK and excitedly running to ao3. Only to see some of the first fics with Yona was just hating on her, or turning her character into a really mean lady who you’re supposed to root against. There’s nothing wrong enjoying your gay ships, but maybe don’t vilify female characters only bc they ‘get in the way’? It reminded me WAY TOO MUCH of my time in the Sonic fandom (I’m still a part of that fandom, always, love that silly blue hedgehog <3), and ppl would do the same to Amy in a lot Sonadow fics. WHICH DROVE ME INSANE.

I will always believe the hc of: wingman Yona, supportive wife Yona, or Poly Yona. They’re all wonderful <3 Just have these bitches love each other. It’s way more fun. I know once I complete TKSD I’d rlly rlly like to write a fic about SidYonZeLink, polyamory relationships are very dear to me, and I love exploring how complicated yet wonderfully caring they can be.

BUT OMG, I ALSO LOVE KENNEDUCK!!!! The Secret Confessions comic is just *chef kiss* GLORIOUS! I’m almost POSITIVE all of ya’ll have seen/read it, but if not—YOU BETTER GO RIGHT NOW AND DO SO!!! Their Yona is also so so so wonderful, she is so soft, and she and Sidon are so soft together. I love it.

I’m excited and nervous for chapter 5! I know a lot of y’all really wanna get to Link, but it felt important to write about the Sage’s to set up a couple of future events. I meant for it to be fairly short and then have a larger section dedicated to when they find Link, but thats… not exactly what happened. Atm the doc is at an even 19k word count (dunno how i managed that), and i still have a decent amount of things to write, SO…. Yeah. A lot of this chapter is really just about the Sages and the Sage’s bonding. If that’s not what you want than you can obviously wait til chapter 6, which spoilers, will be Link’s pov and ONLY about his recovery.

Believe me, I still can't believe it myself that I managed to pull it off considering who I had to get ahold of! Been happy dancing to myself ever since I got the last game~

God it feels like it was longer ago honestly, but I only really began trying to finish the Pokemon collection just a year ago! Had to check back in my DMs with my buddy, but the day I began to seriously search for the rest of the authentic generations was May 5th 2023, the day I discovered my copy of Platinum was a repoduction, ya watch ONE video regarding reals vs. fakes and it all went down from there when I looked over the ones I owned already, luckily Platinum was the only one who was fake ;w;

I had passively over the years been picking up games as I went, but from that day last year til recently I looked where I could for the games I was missing, to be fair I had about half the collection to begin with just from growing up and finding ones out and about, I only needed to find the pair of whatever I owned already, besides gen 5.... since I somehow never played gen 5 growing up. Funny enough I didn't have to look too far, every single game I found had all been local! Facebook marketplace saved me big time I just had to wait and compare prices til I was happy with what I was willing to pay for! I scrutinized every single copy I got my hands on and triple checked everything before I was satisfied XD

The 3DS titles were very easy to get thankfully, and the same goes for you too good on ya for getting your 3DS ones! Hardest for sure were gens 3-5, specifically ALL of gen 5 they are the WORST to get since no one wants to sell them and they're required to be able to move anyone forward to the 3DS and then to the Switch! I think It'd be easier to list who I owned and who I hunted for in the year of the search.

So I owned:

Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Leafgreen, Emerald, Diamond, Pearl, X, Alpha Sapphire, Moon, UltraSun, Sword, Violet and Arceus (some I had gotten as gifts growing up and others I had gotten through yardsaling and thrifting by chance as I grew up, Emerald was 70 at a yardsale!)

The ones I got from the year of the hunt:

Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed, Platinum, Heartgold, SoulSilver, Black, White, Black 2, White 2, Y, Omega Ruby, Sun, UltraMoon, Shield, Lets Go Pikachu, Lets Go Eevee (I DID own Eevee before but traded it in before the hunt) Scarlet, Brilliant Diamond, and Shining Pearl.

Now knowing who I had to get, we all know it costs a pretty penny, so I essentially sold things myself to fund the hunt, like my amiibos I didn't really need or want, a handful of random collectable things I picked up and kept over the years (notably a masterchief helmet from the legendary collection I got for free like 10 years ago lol) and some odds and ends I didn't need anymore and to declutter the home! I think out of my own pocket I only paid maybe 40 bucks total so I paid for everyone that way! It was all mostly luck finding everyone and keeping an eye on marketplace, and some of them I had gotten from folks I knew! Black and Black 2 actually came from one of my managers at work who sold them to me for insanely cheap, and Sapphire I got for free as I mentioned in the games post XD

If you do try to go for the complete collection, I say have a gameplan for how to pay and build that piggybank of funds, go for what you can afford! So if you see a game without a case thats usually better, you dont NEED a case or have a game CIB really, a bunch of mine dont have a case or box and I'm alright with that! Look locally at second hand stores, vintage ones, marketplace or any other local yardsale or fleamarket type thing you may have in your area, and I say this with caution, but if you HAVE to, you can consider ebay, but I strongly suggest not to when it comes to the games. I had originally tried to get a Brilliant Diamond copy from there and well, dude never sent it at all and got my money (ebay fully refunded me but that still bites). And finally get well versed in learning how to authenticate to the best of your abilities, 3DS and switch I don't think can be faked but everything else can be! I used this as my guide to figure out who was real and fake in my search and it worked very very well! Twas my bible of knowledge

End of the day it didn't take as long as one would think, but luck played a HUGE roll in this endeavor, I was smart with my money, and I was very very VERY stubborn and wanted them all XD

Guys my head is flooded with au ideas and I don't have enough time to draw all of them so I'm just going to talk about it.

Religious!Dreamswap (+Lust!):

Dreamswap but everybody is religous and Dream + Nightmare have severe religous trauma and are gods of love and lust but they both reacted differently.

Nightmare(Lust) grew up to hate Christianity and even became a Satanist. He was constantly hated as lust was seen as a sin against god.

Dream grew up believing everything the church told him, he was praised for his ability to give love. Whenever Dream tried to protect his brother, he would be forsed to watch Nightmare being punished by the cherch, causing Dream to be unknowingly scared all the time of sin. He was scared others would go though this because of lust, thus makeing the Anti-sin Home of God (Very creative verion of JR)

Little does anyone know, it's also Dream's job to break people up, he doesn't like doing it and knows if it ever got out he would be thought of differently.

Scene style Swapdream!Nightmare:

I just like the thought of Swan dressing as a scene kid! Nothing else to it. (Maybe ds Nightmare and Swapfate Nightmare too lol)

Under-construction au:

I was originally going to make this au but there was too much to make my idea happen so I just accepted it would never get posted.

So basicly, it's an Undertale au where its not done yet. Constant changes happening to designs, storys, personalities, ect. It looks like Inks abandoned au tbh. And the bodys will be half way done. Like, the rest of the head and chest will be fully drawn but the arm will be a stick with a circle on the end.

Sometimes there are double the amount of characters because the creator is stuck between two disigns.

I also had this idea where the characters are desperate to be completed, so they may try to steal anything from a completed au and stick it on to themself such as completed clothing and sometimes a soul.

Biblicly accurate Dreamtale:

So the whole thing sumed up, is that it's Dreamtale, but when Dream and Nightmare eat an apple, they turn into these big 15ft angels with wings and rings, protecting the tree of feelings from mortals.

I also had this idea that Nightmare is littrally invisable when he's not near Dream in this AU, because you know, tge moon only shows in the sky because of the sun's light!(I'm so smart)

Trans MtF Ds Dream:

I'm actually making a short story abt this but I may not finish it>3<✌

Dream wears Nightmares dress at a young age(yes, Nightmare is trans FtM), and secretly likes it.

MDream is in denial abt it and distracts himself for 100+ years untill he finally takes a break and finds out that she's trans and curses herself out for ignoring it for so long.

Basicly, the normal story of Dreamtale but the twins are jelous of what the other has.

Dream is jelous because he wishes he could have a break, to have some time to himself instead of helping the villagers all the time because "thats what he's supposed to do as the gaurdian of positive feelings".

Nightmare is jealous because he wishes to have friends and to be liked by everyone like his brother is. He doesn't want to be bullied and hated anymore.

Out of jealousy he kills his twin and absorbs his soul using the magic of the apple tree. He then becomes the guardian of feelings, but forgets who he was.

He remembers being jealous of his brother but since their thoughts are now combined, he can't remember who he killed or who he once was. Causing him to go insane.

(This was inspired by a song I can't remember the name of)

Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman - my mother gave me this book to read when I was maybe 11, it was her copy that she had bought when Pratchett came and gave a reading at our local library in like, 1992. I'd say no book has been more formative to me, but in writing this I don't think thats true.

The City and the City by China Mieville - I got into Mieville through my girl @crimeandcricket, and was horribly traumatised by the body horror in perdido street station, and was way too influenced by his often pretentious writing style, but the city and the city is a masterpiece I'll never recover fully from and changed me for the better.

The Children's Hospital by Chris Adrian - I'm fairly sure no one but me loves this book, but it is also a book that multiple people stopped me when I was reading in public just from the cover image. My favourite kind of book is a book that can only be written by one person, and Adrian is a theologian and paediatrician, and this book uses every single one of his hyperfixations and also made me cry more than anything else.

The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster - Actually, this book probably did more to calcify my sense of humour than Pratchett did. The smartest, funniest, coolest children's book ever, and this has reminded me to get the tattoo of Tock on my wrist.

Ballet Shoes by Noel Streatfield - I read this every christmas morning as a treat to myself. I also adore White Boots, the ice skating book, but Ballet Shoes is such a perfect gem of a story that is the favourite of my grandmother, my mother and myself.

Shabanu/Daughter of the Wind by Suzanne Fisher Staples - The first book that made me cry, inspired my fondness for camels and was probably my first feminist awakening? I've only read one of the sequels, but it was so brutal I still haven't emotionally recovered entirely.

The Amateur Cracksman by E. W Hornung - my mastermind specialist subject, a book that consumed me across time and space, Raffles my beloved, Bunny my beloved, I remember the moment I read the first story and my life changed literally forever. The Black Mask and A Thief In The Night are also obviously amazing and really all three should be considered one book, but something in my life changed for the better when I read the line 'AJ Raffles would be my friend!' in The Ides of March and I realised oh no, they're mine now.

Exhalation by Ted Chiang - very hard for me to choose a Ted Chiang story so thankfully I will pick his second collection, which has The Life Cycle of Software Objects and also the one about the parrots. It does not have Hell is the Absence of God or stories of your life, but tbh, software objects was the first of his stories I ever read, so it deserves to be here, even if it guts me like a fish every time.

Rivals by Jilly Cooper - if I could have anyone's writing career, it would be Jilly Cooper's. Everytime I read this insane soap opera of a book it holds me hostage until I finish it, and its like 700 pages long. The most wonderfully 80s OTT sex farce about horrible people trying to buy an ITV franchise. I genuinely can't believe that disney plus are making it into a series.

The Years of Rice and Salt by Kim Stanley Robinson - One of his least famous books and yet I think his best? I had read the Mars books several times before I picked this up, but this alternate history where 90% of Europe are killed by the black death, following how world history changes through the eyes of characters who reincarnate but always find each other, somehow??? it grabbed me by the throat and never let go.

Just... look at this art style, it literally always takes my breath away ITS BEAUTIFUL. So expressive and unique, I love it sm. They also have an encanto fanfiction too, it's set a few years in the future and is Mirabel x oc, I would never usually look for those stories on my own, since I'm not really into non canonical ships, but the art they made for it intrigued me and although I haven't read it in a while, from what I did read it was amazing. Really well written and descriptive!

Pokémon FireRed (2004)

i will not waste time on an intro because everyone already knows what pokemon is. and everyone already knows that FireRed and LeafGreen are remakes of the original games yeah yeah yeah whatever. but would you believe me if i said i've never beaten a pokemon game before? "yes", you say? well, uh, fuck. either way, i decided i might as well try to finish the games that started them all. or at least the remakes because i dont think i could stare at black and white screens for too long.

as far as remakes go this isnt half bad. this was made during gen 3 so expect similar gameplay to ruby/sapphire/emerald. it's been modernized quite well with the addition of held items, natures and abilities and what not. however, even with these shiny new features and QoL changes, kanto is still kind of an annoying place to be.

for example, the early game hell in many old pokemon games is especially rough here. when you start the game, you have barely any money to afford potions and/or pokeballs, only being able catch pidgeys and rattatas and bug pokemon with stupidly low levels (unless your patient enough to catch pikachu with it's 5% appearance rate, i wasn't), having to navigate a forest with pokemon that can easily poison you (oh yeah hope you have money for antidotes too asshole), trainers that barely give you any money, two gym leaders that will ruin you if you picked charmander, having to navigate a really fucking annoying cave to get to said second gym leader UGH. but once you beat misty it's smooth sailing from there. until the elite four at least.

it's fun finding all the little creatures in the grass and smoking other trainers with your specialized party, it's an addicting gameplay loop that still endures which is why there's like 60 of these games now. there are a few issues i have, mainly the concept of HMs. they're special moves you can learn that have uses outside of battle like cutting down trees and flying to towns you've visited before. however, you can't unlearn them for a good portion of the game so if your pokemon has learned one, they now have one less move slot to work with. so the "solution" is to just have a useless pokemon thats in your party only to use HMs, meaning now you have only 5 real pokemon on your team. it's insane that this was an issue in every single fucking game in the series until sun and moon, 20 years after the original games. better late than never i guess.

another issue is how EXP is divided among pokemon. only pokemon that were active in a battle get EXP, and depending on how many you sent out, it's divided for each one. i.e. if you used two pokemon and the enemy gives you 600 EXP, they each get 300 instead. three pokemon, 200. thing is most wild pokemon you caught suck ass until they start getting levels so you have to do what's called "switch training" which involves putting the one pokemon you wanna grind levels for at the front so they're sent out to battle first, and when the battle starts, immediately switch to your actual good pokemon and win the battle that way. eventually, your weak pokemon will get stronger.

this whole process takes forever and call me a basic bitch but i actually like the EXP Share in later games. all it does is save hours of your life grinding, but the one issue it does have is that it makes the games too easy, in which case, there's something inherently wrong with how the the main gameplay of the entire series is balanced. pokemon should stop trying to uphold traditions and try something entirely new! maybe take a few pages from other monster collector games like digimon and persona/SMT... but they WONT because these games are too mega popular and have a huge competitive scene and the last time they tried to do something different and bold with the main series (black and white) everyone hated them BECAUSE they did something different and no one FUCKING BOUGHT THEM!!!!! oh yeah wasn't this a review of firered

gigantic rant i had aside i still quite enjoyed my time with firered, when the game works it really works. when i finally have a team of pokemon i like and start demolishing trainers and gym leaders left and right it's really engrossing, even if the kanto games haven't aged the best. im still glad i beat it though and i wanna play more in the future, maybe try emerald or platinum next. i never quite got into pokemon the same way i did with other RPGs like final fantasy or dragon quest but it's still a fun series with lots of good monster designs, and when i do actually get to play the multiplayer with friends i always have a ton of fun. a good time, but if i see ONE more pidgey or rattata...

Some people just like mainstream rap you hear in clubs and thats fine too if thats you, nothing wrong with liking what you like. Nicki album PF2 more in line what you would hear from J.Cole, Wale, Saint Jhn, JID, etc. and its more elevated than drill which what has been dominating mainstream rap last 2 years. I like do sexy redd for example but mainstream rap went crazy over skee yee and that sounded like nails on a chalkboard to me LOL. I can't listen to that shit lol.

When Nicki said 'these bitches gotta shake they ass to show sex appeal' on Fallin 4 U, she hit nearly every other rap girl out there but Doja. Female rap gotta have more substance than pussy popping and Megan been trending more for shaking ass than music for years.

Nicki makes those songs too but it gets old and these girls gotta give us more. Cardi spent 2 million on Bongos music video, gorgeous beautiful visuals, for it to flop which is insane. PF2 had no music videos and got 230K album equivalent units in less than a week. Megan's Truamazine only did 63K and she paid $250k to Future in cash of her own money (label wouldnt pay him) for him to play in her face and give her the worse verse he's ever done. People say they don't identify with Nicki, but they buy and stream her music, so I don't believe it isn't translating. If anything people sympathize and like Megan personality (and her twerking ofc) but they don't buy and stream her music so I'd say the opposite based on the numbers. It's crazy there can be hundreds of thousands of likes on a Megan tweet and her album can't crack 100k first week. Madness.

Nicki and Meg drama goes back to HGS when Megan joked with Nicki about getting an abortion so Nicki could drink with her. Proof of that is on the live where Meg was trying to get Nicki to "drive the boat" and Nicki said "now you know we not doing that" and Meg was like "you know what I said you should do to take care of that". They been throwing sub shots in music ever since.

IDK, I don't have kids but I would ded a bitch if they said some crazy shit like that to me knowing I wanted to keep my baby.

Pokemon Black! Already Worked up!

20th June

Ok it is decided! I got excited about playing these games so I chose Black over Platinum for now. I loved Black when it came out and in my opinion this genration is the best in the series. So much thought was put into it! It really was the pinnacle of the DS era. It is also probably one of Pokemon's toughest era. Fortunately with 150 new pokemon to use plus the old ones in Black and White 2 im not so worried about my losses!

So here goes nothing!

My starter choice is Tepig this game. A strong Fire Fighting type which was my brother favourite in the past. I have never been a fan but a strong and guaranteed fighting type for the famous run killer Lenora will be useful. I name him El Piggo he has a -Speed nature which I am already feeling but Emboar wasn't horrendously fast anyway.

Honestly, I breeze through the opening. Tepig is a great start and blasts through all opponants. I feel bad because there are so many cool touches at the beginning. The little scene with Bianca is literally 7 lines long but is very well written. The battles at the start walking onto route 1 together and Ghestsis' speech are really engaging. With that I battle N. His purrloin ain't much to my level 7 tepig at this point. I actually get my girlfriend to fight him. A rare video gaming occurance.

With that I head to route two and get a Patrat I name Alvin. Honestly He is just fodder again in preparation for Lenora especially with the worse ability but we shall see. Last but not least I head to the dream yeard for Pansage as it really is the only answer to the upcoming Panpour and honestly when else am I going to use one.

This is going to be tiny on mobiles but these are the three. The new format sucks for this unfortunately.

With that I handily beat cheren with Pansage and Tepig before heading into the gym... OK a bit of a power increase. I ahve to grind on patrats and lillipups for bloody ages to get to level 14. The xp just doesnt go up! I'm glad I do though because the battle against Cress does not go as planned.

So yeah, When I said this is when pokemon starts to actually get hard. I wasn't kidding! I send in Tepig against Lillipup because thats what you are meant to do and I start tackling. Unfortunately it can only do chip damage about 25% he is doing 20% with his bite and didnt use work up. So, I'm happy I'm chill. He gets down to about 50% and then pulls off a critical hit bite! Which Flinches me! activates my berry! Which he then steals at the end of the turn and ALSO HEALS!!!! WHAT! I blame Cheren for this! Since when did pickup do that! I am astonished. Whats worse is I have another pokemon in the back with another Oran berry! I sneak in a few more tackles before I am forced to switch into Patrat! Who I did not train. So I spend the time using leer, I eventually go for tackle fearing a work up that could wipe the team. But it doesnt hit the range and procs a potion. Patrat goes down but I bring in Pansage and finish it off with a vine whip. Which fortunately does finish it off. Enough monkey business! Pansage basically can't be beaten now. As water gun deals practically nothing and vine whip is dominating the panpour!

That insane combination can't have been a high chance but I'm fuming. I was mere inches from losing my starter there and would have been furious! I can't believe how lucky I had to get there! Never again!

Animal: Its weird but at least its self aware

So I heard about Animal being well . . . kinda insane when it first came out I also heard people who liked it though later on.

I saw a few scenes of the movie and seeing the violence I thought it was probably a really bad movie since so many people thought that.

but I've been watching a bit of it recently and well I don't think its that bad. Now if you've seen my last post you'd ask how I can dislike Pushpa but like Animal and I'm not saying I like Animal per se I also don't absolutely hate pushpa the movie I just didn't find it entertaining. Animal for me however was really entertaining for me because it's really crazy the protagonist of the movie isn't someone we're supposed to like or agree with he's being blatantly pointed out as crazy by the movie and thats why its fun.

it's so nonsensical and ridiculous that i can't help but cringe and smile while with pushpa I could just hope the song would at least be good.

My previous reaction was that the father in the movie was the 'bad guy' because of a few scenes I saw without actually watching the movie but after watching some of it I'm actually insanely impressed that he was able to deal with ranbeer's character at all.

He has flaws yeah and he admits them he doesn't believe that he's some superior being. I don't love the father character because all of the characters I think aren't really supposed to be liked.

And the movie showing that just makes me happy inside because of how self aware it is.

The violence is still. . . . icky but its not like this movie was going to be my all time favorite.

None of these characters are perfect but its fun to see how they're affected by Ranbir's craziness.

But a scene I found funny was when gita anjali's family was scolding her for falling in love with Ranvijay she just kissed him infront of them

It was really just a "I don't give a damn about you anyway" to her family and they were covering the kids eyes as the bgm starts playing. In the telugu version it actually has a comedical bgm as well

I want every scene to start like that for real

I'm also a bit biased because Gita anjali's brother asked her to say something while her family was scolding her in telugu but what ever.

And its not like their relationship was seen as something good or to take example of since well he cheated on her because he's a crazy bastard.

I also like the mood swings he has from sensible to mental it makes the movie more funny because you don't know when he'll detonate he's actually a time bomb. *haha got the reference?*

he hates his father one second saying he can't handle being in the same country as him and then tells Gita Anjali that his father is the best in the world?!?!?

I just wish the movie in the trailers advertised itself more like this nonsensical film that they show in the story itself instead of the action drama movie but it makes sense more people would like to see that.

RIZ LA VIE, my top listened artist this year; missed the chance to go to his concerts literally three times (pandemic & then life stuff happened). But he liked my Instagram post showing him on my Spotify Wrapped so I can absolutely die happy.

Favorite Color: Red, the brightest and boldest possible. Passion & blood, sexy & sweet. (Chia knows what's up 👀❤️) I rmmbr I used to love asking ppl their fave color bc idk asking what they're studying or do for work is boring & I think a fave color can say a lot ab a person. I remember a guest speaker came for some event when I was like 14 & I asked and legit Everyone was like "Thats such a dumb question..." Social trauma from that lmao but fuck 'em, I'll never stop asking.

Currently (Re)watching: Just finished rewatching Bojack Horseman which was a horrible idea bc I never saw the finale the first time & well it is not a vibe when ur mental health isn't solid. BUT I'm cheering myself up by rewatching Daily Lives of Highschool Boys which is a hilarious satire anime about anime, absolutely recommend. New watches rn are; ATLA live action (AMAZING), BSD s4, Migi & Dali, Nichijou (FABULOUS), Bakuten/Backflip!!, and How Heavy Are The Dumbbells You Lift? (First long-title anime for me, and it's awesome. Can you believe I'm truly enjoying it in Dub??? *watching with the MVP octal-alchemist in tagged)

Spicy, Savory or Sweet: I can not do spice like a bitch thinks black pepper is too hot, not exaggerating my mom always had to make separate portions of meals w/o spice for me 😭 I fr couldn't choose between savory or sweet, whatever I'm craving in the moment has to do, or not do RIP lmao eating this orders suck 😂

Relationship Status: Pining over your ex and the only person you ever loved and believe you will ever really love or at least never move on from bc your heart never truly knew heartbreak until her while she lives in the same town as you so you keep seeing her on dating apps and even though you know she hates you to the point of no return you still swipe right for the insanity of it counts as a relationship status, right?

Current Obsession: Can't say anime or memes since those are constant, but idk man does chain smoking cigarettes on long walks count? If not maybe like working on digital art in a Starbucks, trying to enjoy the chiller moments more often, like simply reading in the morning before I use my phone... What was the question actually?
