Idk if you’re familiar with Death Note but for the uninitiated it’s a show where a high schooler (Light) becomes a serial killer through the power of a magic notebook dropped by a god of death (Ryuk.) He has a devoted but more powerful follower (Misa) and an anonymous detective (L) is attempting to prove he’s the killer, despite his dad (Chief Yagami) protesting his innocence. Anyway I don’t know how they would turn “notebook that kills people” into a kid-friendly parody concept but I just had a vision of Mort as Misa so if I were doing “Death Note but it’s AHKJ” I’d have Julien as Light, Karl as Ryuk, Mort as Misa, Maurice as Chief Yagami and Clover as L

I don't know much about Death Note, that's me! I did have to look up if Misa is the girly popstar. One of my favorite artists is Findo so she's my favorite through osmosis.

I can't really judge who'd be what, but I will say idk about KJ becoming a serial killer on purpose. It's not in his nature to resort to murder, for ex. as a prince it never occurred to him to assassinate his uncle. He was willing to kill Koto, however he's gracious and forgiving to all of his villains, no matter what they've done. I don't think he wants to rid the world of them - Koto just wasn't giving them other options. I mean KJ didn't even feel good about leaving a bunch of chickens to die. Which is why I say "on purpose." It could happen thru hijinks.

Clover is more likely to seriously weigh the cost-benefits of intentionally killing people by writing them into her journal (literally her favorite thing to do). The downside here is she might prefer hand-to-hand combat and find the death note kind of cowardly. It's true she has a strong sense of justice, personal integrity, and loves to follow the law, but I just think she'd be more tempted to use it (on purpose). KJ goes easy on people, even those who try to kill him, while Clover can be harsh over even small infractions.*

I also wonder if Koto would be a fitting god of death, or even Uncle…. Karl would fancy himself a god of death, but he's not truly the deadliest or most godlike villain. Koto also is the one who brought out the killer in Julien, which is interesting to think about.

Maurice would absolutely defend kj's innocence, but he'd def know kj was up to some bullshit. He'd just lie to protect kj. He'd suspect clover too if she was the killer. Giving her the shifty eyes

Welcome to Revenge of the Underrated!

Some of you asked me to put a "haven't watched both" to be more fair to the more unknown movies, but I've seen other tournaments doing this and I think it limits too much who can participate in the polls. So what I decided to do is a double elimination!

What does that mean? That means a movie has to lose twice to be eliminated. In other words, there will be a sorts of losers bracket that'll be part of main bracket. I'm undecided on whether to do this for only one round or the whole bracket, as it would make the tournament very long. Do let me know if you have any opinion about it.

...I've managed to figure out what exactly was going on that resulted in my teammates' disappearance. But, before that, I should clarify why it has taken so long to return to the public face.

Due to the severity of the situation and those that were involved, we weren't quite able to walk around Noe Town and declare that there is a supposed mythical Pokemon that is now living in the area.

NOT SUPPOSED, IS! Do you NOT know what a Shaymin is?!

Wave... Not now. We have to remain professional during the report. Because of how serious the situation was, everyone involved was asked by the Guild to refrain from using public communications of any kind, just in case someone was put in a compromising position that required us to speak aloud about the details. I've only gained access to both my phone and Connection Orb earlier today due to this reason.

...As it turned out, the Pokemon that asked us to assist xem on a mission, had been working for...

...someone unknown to us Rangers... and wasn't made fully aware of their true intentions.

David? Would you like to take over for a while? Thinking about that scenario still makes me a bit sick...

Like Chris said, the Pokemon, who's name and species we're withholding for the sake of xer safety, was working for someone that... wanted us dead. It was an honest mistake, as the true perpetrator, we now realize, is spectacular at convincing others to work with them.

Specifically, the criminal asked of the other Ranger to lead us into an area where they'd be able to do what they wished to us. As revealed by the Ranger, xe was originally meant to only kidnap Lucas Cubone, expecting the rest of us, as his teammates, to follow shortly after... Which we did.

If it weren't for Chris turning back to ask Dad for permission, I think we would be in a much bigger problem than what happened.

Don't give him too much credit, he didn't even know something was up!

I-I wasn't even aware of what was happening, until it w-was too late to do anything ab-bout it. We were t-trapped with no way out, just like last time. It was scary...

But then Chris came by, w-with Jayden and Mr. Lupin too!

Since no one else has mentioned it, I will.

While we were in the cave, we ended up finding a Shaymin. You know, THE Shaymin. The Pokemon that everyone thought was fake???

After everything was dealt with, we saw them moving funny, and we were LEFT OUT of the meeting, AND weren't able to talk to Shaymin in that time! Only Chris and Lucas were able to go in the building! They didn't even want to tell me about what it was like!

Confidential. And please, you have to how some formality in a situation like this.

...Anyways. As it turns out, once we've brought the Shaymin in for interrogation, it was revealed that they were in a similar situation to mine, being an amnesiac. They only remember having a headache prior to the situation that they were found with. However...

I don't believe they're a human. This has horrifying implications, as this proves that Pokemon can lose their memory through natural means, as well.

Due to their unfamiliarity with the world, and the similarities that I happen to have with them, I've been asked by Claude Samurott to take care of him until his memories come back. They claim that their name is Jasper, and it appears that they-

Lupin's Pokemon Team

ok hear me out HAHA i like making pokemon teams for random characters so one day i decided to tackle lupin usually i pay a couple attention to the balance of the team and how strong the pokemon is, but with lupin iii being a totally different series, i decided to change my standards

this team is purely used for helping him with heists or he just sees it as something he can steal

i dont determine pokemon by how compatible it is with lupin (this is for anyone asking why thievul or aipom isn't in my list)

none of these pokemons should make him too op than how lupin without pokemons are, they simply make his heist planning easier because in reality lupin could kinda still do these things without them

i'll show some runner ups i thought of putting in after 

Here it is!!!

I'll have an explanation for all of them and some backstory I made up

Jigglypuff (Lv. 40 with Sing / Sweet Kiss / Hyper Voice / Fake Tears)

I'd say that the team doesn't really have an ace, but Jigglypuff is probably an unofficial one since he's the first pokemon Lupin had in my story, where he recieved it back then he was a child as an Igglybuff. I remembered in a Part 2 screenshot somewhere (i haven't finished part 2 so pardon if i got anything wrong) that Lupin had a fondness for cute dolls when he was a child, so Jigglypuff reflects that!

It also shows Lupin's inner child, since the Jigglypuff in the anime was quite a troublemaker, a very dramatic one too. In Shin Lupin III "Lupin Lullaby", Lupin's sings a lullaby sung by his mother from way back when he was a kid. Part of me thinks from that chapter that maybe Lupin probably loved music, and Jigglypuff's singing ability also connects to that as well.

Asides from that, Jigglypuff's ability to lull people into sleep by Sing or confuse people with Sweet Kiss would make it a really good member in the party to use for heists. I can imagine Lupin using him to immediately put guards to sleep or at least set them back when he's infiltrating hehe

Ditto (Lv. 26 with... Transform)

This is honestly a given. I had the option to choose Zorua over Ditto, but I personally preferred Ditto because it's just so silly and it perfectly matches the series tbh.

So the story for Ditto is that one day, Lupin just so happened to come across a doppleganger that looked just EXACTLY like him, doing heinous acts that makes Lupin look bad!!! It was Ditto, and it was being ordered by its trainer to disguise as Lupin and do bad things for something to happen (this could totally be an episode premise, I'm just too lazy to think.) Lupin uncovers Ditto's disguise and also beats the bad trainer with its help and Ditto basically becomes part of Lupin's team that way.

Ditto essentially learning how to transform into Lupin perfectly has so so sooo many possibilities of fun stories, it's literally like a moving living distraction LMAO I'll leave it to you guys to think of how Lupin'll use Ditto since I'll be here forever if I list out mine.

Magnemite (Lv. 10 with Thunder Wave, Protect, Confuse Ray, Volt Switch)

With so many security options all being operated by electricity, a Magnemite can easily wipe it all out by feeding on the electricity! I also chose that Pokemon since it's magnetic ability along with it's levitation ability can prove useful in some way in heists. I feel like sometimes Lupin just grabs on it to float around lmao (it hates it)

I don't have much of a story for this one. I just think the vibe of the design suits Lupin. Lupin probably just caught it one day and uses it time to time. I made Magnemite have a very childish and moody personality, it doesn't like following Lupin's order and hates it when he plays with it. But at least he gives it a lot of food!! That's the only reason it can bare Lupin's presence. It's also very good friends with this next pokemon...

Rotom (Lv. 23 with Confuse Ray, Protect, Electro Ball, Double Team)

Rotom and Magnemite are total besties, but one obviously gets used more than the other, and Rotom totally brags all about to Magnemite's face. Other than that, yep, Lupin uses this guy a lot to research about the place he's planning to sneak into and scan the basic layouts of it. I imagined he often makes it possess a drone, one of his spying devices or a computer to get info from it c:

So the story on how he gets this Rotom in the first place... maybe it found Lupin interesting and messed around with him for fun. Like he's in a middle of a heist and it just fucks it up for no reason. Lupin then gets mad but doesn't care to chase it but it messes up another heist of his again!!! Lupin then gets even madder and he decides to outsmart it next time it comes to fuck around again and it joins Lupin's team after it gets beaten since it finds him a lot of fun. Even after being caught, Rotom still goofs around with Lupin (Magnemite enjoys seeing Lupin get mad over it.)

Cofagrigus (Lv. 75 with Shadow Ball, Destiny Bond, Curse, Dark Pulse)

This guy does nothing in the team except exist.

Lupin just really really wants it and basically thought it was just a treasure until it started sprouting dark hands out of the coffin and almost kills Lupin after he tried stealing it. But somehow out of some SHEER MIRACLE he makes it out alive and catches the thing. Cofagrigus also reminds me of that one pharaoh episode where Lupin gets possessed by the Tut mask and almost dies so he basically didn't learn his lesson after the first time messing around in Egypt...

Also- it hates Lupin immensely.

Latias (Lv. 67 with Heal Pulse, Psychic, Fly, Safeguard)

Heeere comes the elephant in the room!! Peater?? Why did you pick a legendary pokemon??? Because it's such a Lupin thing to own a legendary obviously!! He'd somehow do it, nothing is impossible for him, if he wants a Latias he gets a Latias.

But no I didn't pick Latias just for that reason alone, but because I needed him to have at least one flying pokemon. I noticed that Lupin usually uses this glider looking thing to escape out of a dangerous situation pretty often along the series so I wanted said flying pokemon to have an airplane-esque build and maybe be red too (because Lupin uses a red glider a lot.)

But yeah! I also remembered how Latias could turn into a human girl in some random pokemon movie I didn't watch and I think she had a crush on Ash or something??? I don't know but that absurdity feels like it belongs in Lupin. Lupin probably met a Latias in human form and after some crazy wacky NPC girl-tv special shenanigans she joins his team.

It's probably my fav member in the team (2nd is jiggly) just because it's so funny to give Lupin a Latias.

I have never seen one but my mum claims to and I trust her more than basically anyone so, yeah. Dont laugh at me. Ive had *vibes* of certain places esp my granddad's old place.

Slighty too personal story: my grandma died years and years before my granddad did and he always slept with his bedroom door open because he said if he didnt she would keep knocking on his door until he opened it again. I always thought that was sweet.

27. Who is the most stressful character you have written and why?

Jigen stresses me out. Constantly. I think I write him as more combative and stubborn than most people do and hes constantly making The Wrong decisions. I worry sometimes about making him too much of an asshole but thats also why I love writing him so much so. What can u do eh?

Also idk if this counts bc hes in an unpublished chapter but LUPIN THE SECOND my god. It's hard to write a villain without them coming off as completely one dimensional and its been one of the reasons a chapter of a certain fic has been delayed until further notice.

I uhhh know too much about rabbits, I know how to cook and paint, i have borderline encyclopedic knowledge of the pokemon video games, i have some knowledge about animals and sea life that ive internalised from david attenborough.

He watches some men working on a small fishing trawler, the bigger ships in the distant coming and going. The gangs could already have eyes watching them.  "Hey, Earth to Goe?" Jigen snaps, "I asked you something." "What?" Goemon mutters, pushing his hair behind an ear as the wind whips it painfully across his cheeks. Jigen rolls his eyes as he clamps a hand on his hat to keep it on, "Whether you're planning on dipping on us again like you did on our bank job in Chiba?"

Funny thing about this whole setup; this scene is OLD. I actually repurposed this from a totally unrelated fic that existed around the time I was writing Jigen's Last Stand but actually might have predated that. I was going to repurpose it again as a sequel but well.... you guys know what followed that fic.

I think in both of my old drafts Goemon was a bit more cozy towards Jigen and went to go chase after his hat more because he wanted to be helpful rather than Jigen just being careless. I dropped the fic originally because I couldnt for the life of me think of a plot and now i have! It only took me what, a year or so? Lol

Kind of a vent-y thing below, if you're an irl you've heard me whine about this before but you know how it is, sometimes the void needs screaming into.

So I have this thing. And it's like,,, really dumb when I actually think about it for more than like... 30 seconds, but whatever.

I envy people who have special interests and have or have had hyperfixations in the past. Mainly because I hear my friends talk about whatever it is that they're interested in at the time (for example, MLP, Lupin III, Super Mario Bros, Pokemon, the list goes on) and I just get so sad that I can't reciprocate that? Like sure I'm in a bunch of fandoms my friends (mostly irls) are in but like, I don't have the same level of knowledge so I feel almost inferior.

Don't even get me started on how embarrassing it is to only just be entering a fandom like SMB at almost 20. Like yeah, I played Galaxy as a kid but I never got past Honeyhive Galaxy so it doesn't even feel like it counts. Whereas I have all these friends who have been in fandom or at least partaken in the media of a certain franchise their entire life.

The closest thing I've had to a hyperfixation was the Dream SMP and honestly I just look back at that and cringe. The birthdays of 3 very real teenagers are implanted in my brain but I know next to nothing of the actual lore of the SMP. I felt like a fake fan then and I still feel like one now.

Watching the Mario movie has made me kinda get involved in fandom, as much as liking and reblogging fanart on tumblr is being "involved", but even then I don't contribute.

The most I ever do in a given fandom is squeal at characters/people involved and that's about it. I scroll tags for hours but never create anything and I just...

I wish I could do more y'know. I wish I could spend hours researching and watching video essays and playing/watching the source content but like,,, I just don't have the drive. And it seriously hurts. Especially when some people then get on my ass for obsessing over a certain character (ones that come to mind being Luigi and Ash Williams) after they did. Like dude we can both "be" the character, it's not first in best dressed.

TL;DR: I know nothing about the media I enjoy but I still enjoy it to the same level as other people.

I think Jigen started out in Unova in his criminal background running around to steal old tech. He wasn't long in Team Plasma, refused to play the mind game of ' You need to liberate your Pokemon '. That just never worked for him. more leaning towards the Team Rocket mindset, though an organization with a lot of screw ups doesn't deserve his attention.

So after doing tech stealing for other companies, he eventually ups his game to hunting. Any pokemon he catches after acquiring his main team gets sold off. Working with breeders makes things complicated and expensive,and so he prefers to go into the wild himself. This also makes him an avid shiny hunter because they get more money, and those are worth 10× as much.

He also stole a shiny charm so, that helps quite a bit.

Only Lupin could change his scope for what can be stolen.

Lupin would definitely think you are some weird animal tamer or some sort of collector. Don't get me wrong he thinks your strange pets are cool asf, but he doesn't really understand them.

He would ask if you can use your pokemon in a heist if you work with the gang. Most likely thinking of some weird ways to have your mons cause a distraction of some sort.

if you don't work with the gang that's when he gets confused and will full-on yell. "Wait! that sounds like cock fighting?! IT'S LEGAL???" The idea of pokemon battling is a bit weird to him but actually seeing a battle he could see the appeal.

It would take only an hour of convincing for him to get a pokemon. this man is all for trying new things. raising a new powerful pet is something new he is all for.

It would take him hours to find his perfect pokemon. in the end, he didn't even catch his mon. his pokemon stole his wallet and Lupin KNEW that was the Mon. that's how lupin ends up with his very own nickit.

he would definitely ask for help with the Mon. he has no clue what pokemon like and his nicket really seems to be a testy pokemon. but he truly does love the Mon.

He still won't battle though, it just leaves a bad taste in his mouth.

This man is so confused. He has heard of exotic animals but this? this is way too much.

he would ask questions. mostly if they are safe and easy to take care of. just trying to gauge what the hell you have. He knows guns not weird new creatures that could breathe fire and literal dragons.

If you work with the gang he will outright refuse the usage of pokemon. he hates using animals in such ways but knows that using the pokemon would make the heist easier. if a heist goes off without a hitch while using the pokemon he would be a bit more open to the pokemon helping steal stuff, though he will grumble about it.

If you don't work with the gang, that's a whole new can of beans he needs to open. He has seen his fair amount of dog fights and the way you describe battles, sounded the exact way they are. he doesn't believe you until you haft to full-on drag him to watch a pokemon battle.

he still has no clue what he is watching all he knows is that it looks dangerous and he isn't really the biggest fan. but the idea of having some cool pokemon as a pet was all too tempting.

he would say fuck it and decide to get a pokemon. he has no clue where to start. he thought he could just walk up to an animal shelter and ask for "A cool fire dragon" everyone thought he was fucking insane. So he gets a mon the hard way.

after 3 hours he gives up in a fuss and throws a Pokeball into some tall grass...and catches a god damn pokemon. He somehow catches a Murkrow. when it evolves into a Honchkrow he is more than happy.

Goemon

he has surprisingly heard of pokemon before. He knew of their existence but never really got into catching pokemon since he was so busy training in his craft.

but he is Okay with pokemon, just doesn't understand the whole craze with them. he finds some of them interesting others are just strange.

If the pokemon help with the heist he would be fine with it. though some ideas for the uses of said pokemon are a bit...weird to him. but the fact there is more help with a job is fine with him.

if you don't do that he is confused as all hell about the idea of pokemon battling. he too has seen dog fights and battles sound like dog fights. when he does go to see a battle though it surprises him.

yes he knows pokemon can do insane things but watching some random kid beat the shit out of a guy with a literal dragon using a frilly ribbon fox, piques his interest. of course he was always interested but that sparks it more.

when yall leave the battle he admits that maybe he would like to get a pokemon. but he will do it his way. What's his way you may ask?

he meditates, for hours upon hours just meditating. you have no clue what he is doing but hey he wants to try and get a pokemon this way. and he somehow does.

he was meditating in a waterfall when something swims up to him. it was a shiny Oshawott. when the pokemon swims up to him it immediately sits down next to him trying to mimic him. he has no clue this pokemon is a shiny and it wouldn't change his feelings about it.

"Hatterene, Cacturne, Mismagius, Honchkrow, your Honchkrow's daughter Murkrow, all of them are dark types except Hatterene, yet you insist you are not a dark type Trainer. Why is that Jigen?"

Jigen glanced up from under his hat at his friend, Lupin. He was stretched out underneath a tree, back resting against the trunk, Lupin had made himself at home on the wide limb above Jigen.

"They got hats. That's why I have them. Most of them being dark-typed is a coincidence." 

Lupin gave a disbelieving snort.

"Really? Hats are the theme?"

"If Gym Leaders can have entire builds based on a single Pokemon, I can have a team based on hats."

"But it's HATS. That's a silly reason!"

"Hey! You traveled to an entirely different region just to get Nickit!"

"Nickit is adorable! And my theme is based on thievery! Not HATS!"

"Then why do you have an Aipom?"

"BECAUSE! Shut up. That's why. But WHY?"

"If it has a hat then I love it. That's all."

Jigen left off his almost playful argument with Lupin to glare at a tiny rustle from the nearby bushes. When nothing emerged, he made himself stand up and stretch.

"Okay Lupin, time to go. Pops is still looking for us and, unlike you, I didn't get a chance to get to a center to heal my Pokemon." 

Lupin gave an almost chaotic laugh as he dropped out of the tree.

"How about I go fence the loot and you meet me at the hideout?"

"Sounds good to me. Later Lupin."

A set of eyes watched the two friends part ways, after a second's worth of hesitation, the watcher followed Jigen, collecting bits of leaves and grass along the way.

Jigen was almost to the town when he heard a small noise behind him. He twisted around, hand going for Murkrow's ball when he saw what, or rather who, had made the noise. An unusually small Mimikyu stood there in the middle of the path, it had the normal Pikachu costume most of its kind disguised themselves with, but this one had an extra edition, a small hat, shaped like Jigen's, clearly made from leaves and grass. It gave off a tiny chirp of "Mimikyu!" as it toddled closer to Jigen.

"That was you back there, wasn't it? Making noise in the bushes?"

The Pokemon almost shyly nodded.

Jigen gently knelt down and touched the hat.

"You want to come with me, don't you?"

Mimikyu hesitantly, as if scared Jigen would hit it, creeped closer to him and butted against Jigen's only empty Pokeball.

Jigen smiled, and pulled it off his belt.

"Of course you can come with me. You got a hat don't you?"

Quickly, the Mimikyu touched the ball and let the capture beam swoop over its form, pulling it into the Pokeball. A soft ding announced the successful capture. Jigen let out Mimikyu and picked it up.

"Come along kid, there is a town up ahead and I think everybody should see your stylish hat."

Mimikyu happily snuggled against Jigen. Finally, it has a Trainer!

After a long battle with my impulsive nature, i finally gave in and decided to make these. I’ve always wanted to see a Pokemon AU for HP, so these are my choices of gym leaders and their designs!

Info Below:

Gym leader 1: Quirrell

Quirrell is a normal type trainer, and the first gym leader you face! His main pokemon is Delcatty, and he’s often fidgety and nervous, looking over his shoulder. I guess training normal types comes with a few side effects....

Gym leader 2: Lockhart

Lockhart is the leader of the water gym, and is VERY proud of his status as such. He admires his battle technique, but focuses more on how beautiful his moves are rather than how powerful they are. His main Pokémon is his beloved Milotic!

Gym leader 3: Moaning Myrtle

Myrtle is a ghostly girl who specializes in bonding with those equally as miserable as her. Her main Pokémon is a Frillish, and the two can often be found sulking in the girl’s bathroom together, thinking about death.

gym leader 4: Fred and George

Fred and George specialize in tricky double battling! Talented in confusing their opponent with their electric shock, witnessing one of their battles is bound to entertain you. Their gym is a joke shop powered by the electricity they produce from battles within! Fred’s main Pokémon is Ampharos, whilst George’s is a Heliolisk

Gym leader 5: Sprout

Sprout’s gym is essentially a giant greenhouse! Being a master of Herbology makes her a strong grass type trainer! Her main Pokémon is her beloved Tropius!

Gym leader 6: Moody

Known for his fiery temper and his knack for capturing bad Pokémon trainers, the fire gym leader Moody isn’t a force to be reckoned with. His main Pokémon is an Arcanine! When battling him, try not to get on his bad side!

Gym Leader 7: Lupin

The tired rock-type specialist begrudgingly mains a Lycanroc, although he admits the favorite of his collection of Pokémon is Kabutops. Nevertheless, his Lycanroc is treated the same as the rest of his Pokémon. He often appears hung over, but from what? Whatever it is, it isn’t pumpkin juice..

Gym Leader 8: Umbridge

Harshness and cruelty is her specialty in battle, which contrasts greatly to the do-gooding fairy Pokémon she trains. She enjoys watches her opponent suffer, and her main Pokémon is Aromatisse! —————————------------------------------------------------------------- That’s a wrap for the gym leaders!
