Making up a name for the War of the Worlds narrator bc getting attached to him without having anything to call him is driving me BONKERS

Anyway am going with Terrance Clay:

Terrance = spinning off of how a lot of sci-fi calls earthlings “terrans,” reflecting him being humanity’s point of view of the Martian invaders

Clay = Yes I stole this from Ace Attorney and Critical Role simultaneously. But a big part of Narrator’s arc is realizing that humanity isn’t some pinnacle of evolution with nothing to fear, we’re all but dust and terribly mortal, etc etc. Also really love the sparknotes’ analysis that Narrator’s humility and lack of bravado is what enabled him to survive.
