yes there is alt right pipeline, yes there is a terf pipeline, but if you frame the people who willingly go down either as the victim, i do not trust you. not as an activist, and not as a person.

#sorry just saw a post that was like:#''guys we have to talk about the t*rf pipeline they groom isolated people like yes it's a HATE GROUP but #THEY'RE JUST AS MUCH THE VICTIMS UWU!!!''#and its just... you don't join a fucking HATE GROUP because you're sad and isolated and have issues #you join a hate group because- even if it's not as vehenement at the start- you hold violent beliefs OF OUR OWN already #i can have a degree of sympathy for the fact that ppl can b manipulated by their parents in2 having crap beliefs &/or manipulated into #having their ideology become more vitrolic or violent. but you don't just go from normal person to memeber of a hate group. you don't.#and i am never EVER going to trust people who frame those who- again- CHOSE to join violent hate groups as the victims in any context #nor am i going to trust people who WERE in hate groups who agree with that sort of framing- clearly you're not as “fixed” as you think if #you think in any fucking way you get to pass the fucking buck.#like guess what chucklefucks: the club q shooter was likely manipulated into/given his shitty beliefs by his parents- i mean we saw his #father we all know the man is homophobia incarnate- and that very likely started him down the pipeline and down the road to do what he did.#and if someone bashed the shooter's head in while he's in prison he would still FUCKING HAVE IT COMING.#like anyway you can acknowledge hate groups are predatory while still holding people responisble for their actions.#if you joined a hate group- even if you were manipulated- you are not and never will be the victim in that context.#you joined a group based on hate and violence and lack of humanity. you did that. you're responsible for it.#cope and try to help the people you hurt. not to make up for it- you don't get to decide if you could ever make up for it- but because #you dedicated so much energy to harming these people that your help is something owed.#& yes- hate group memebers both former&current may be struggling with internalized bigotry & thats a bit different & requires slightly more #nuance but otherwise no. no absolutley not you are not the victim of your own garbage violent ideology which YOU allowed to get more violen #if you want to claim betterment you have to be able to take some fucking accountability #n look i can only speak experientially to how it pertains to things like misogyny biphobia transphobia etc but i will say it pisses me off #the most when racists are framed as the victim of their own hatred. no.
