#ive been meaning to post something about this for a long fucking time.#but i just need to say that ik i post a bit about transmasc issues and online trans infighting#and i have some views that line up with some stuff that some really annoying transmisogynist bloggers say#but i need it fully clear that that i'm not engaging in this horseshit oppression olympics stuff.#transfems are the intended and primary target of a lot of the most violent and vitriolic forms of queer hate#you are stupid or malicious if you can't acknowledge that.#you are also stupid or malicious if you think being asked to consider your own transmisogyny is a threat to you or your own advocacy#i dispute the usage of the terms tme and tma because i think they're objectively descriptively inaccurate.#it's giving the cis public way too much credit to assume that they can tell the difference between a transfem and a post-T gnc transmasc#i can tell you from extensive personal experience that they generally cannot. but even with that said.#i can and will freely acknowledge that im only under threat of transmisogynistic violence when im incorrectly identified as transfem#clearly that means something about who is the primary and intended target of these forms of violence.#i believe in transandrophobia theory just as i believe in transmisogyny theory. they are separate and largely unrelated to each other.#and i believe that no one is inherently exempt from any form of anti queer violence by nature of their birth or identity#people who aren't even queer at all are incorrectly targeted enough that i feel like this should be easy for everyone to agree on.#but it isn't.#so let me just clearly state. for the record. my opinions on transandrophobia and binary terms for oppression#do not mean that im interested in putting down transfems or denying transmisogyny or transfem experience. get the fuck out of here with tha#i am exasperated and exhausted at how many selfish and destructive people on both sides have turned this into an us-vs-them thing.#i can assume that a lot of you are just immature and witnessed a lot of hurtful bullshit from the 'other side'#and genuinely came/were led to the conclusion that this drama is actual oppression. in either direction. but it's not#it's a bunch of kids and immature terminally online adults who are being divided and conquered.#again. circling back to the point of this tag post.#if you followed me because you saw me say something about transmasc issues#and you think i'm someone who condones transmisogyny and trans infighting. im not.#im an adult with a brain who thinks that two things can be real at the same time and Boy and Girl are not binary opposites.#and thusly the mistreatment directed at people transitioning away from manhood and womanhood respectively#are not particularly comparable and don't override each other or cancel each other out in any way.#ok. maybe ill make an actual text post about this at some point#but i don't have the words or tone rn to give a more formal post about this the accuracy it deserves.
