Aurora Borealis is something Jim had heard of from his days on Earth , but growing up in Iowa never gave him the chance to truly experience it. And , when he moved to Tarsus . . well , they never had it there , either. It's beautiful. Greens , blues , and purples illuminate his surroundings , dousing him with their light. There's a part of him that wishes that his crew could've been here to witness it with him. He knows they're fine without him , Spock's more of a capable Captain than he could ever hope to be. He takes a deep breath in , looking down for a moment. God , he needs a drink. Do they even serve alcohol here ?

He walks up to the stand that's selling hot chocolate. That's good enough , he supposes. A warm drink , a light show . . it would be perfect if he didn't have to be alone with his thoughts. He looks around at the various attendees , eyes settling on another stranger who just happens to be here alone. ❛ Want a drink ? They've got cider . . hot chocolate . .
