I love flustered Mo as much as I love confident “straddling my bf half naked” Mo and I know official illustrations aren’t exactly canon story events but.
assuming they are.
I’m always going to crave the moment his brain switches. The moment he has a jolt of courage and flirts back. The moment he understands how much power he can have by being so desired. When he dares to touch a certain way and gets to cut through He Tian’s sparkling composure. And his brain would freeze for a second and he’d touch again to hear that gasp a second time, then again and again.
The moment he realizes he can overwhelm He Tian too. Maybe not as much as He Tian overwhelms him, but with this burgeoning curiosity he could try to breach the gap.

Ok just a random idea that I had to put down before I forgot it- and it feels so silly but it makes my brain go brrrrr
So, Kitsune AU Danny after a classic reveal gone wrong, the kitsune is from a meta gene he discovered while on the run. He winds up in Gotham, hiding his ears and tail as he starts trying to settle in. Cue Red Hood’s gang approaching Jason, telling him he needs to get himself a body guard, because everyone knows he has a thing going with sweet book-nerd Jason Todd. Red hood catches Danny saving a child, and just goes, “ya I’d let him protect me.”
I will flesh this out more later I swear-
( psssss @stealingyourbones can I has opinion)

While everyone else thinks Workforce's wasted potential is that Chakotay and Janeway didn't have a brainwashed what-could-have-been-romance *I* know that Workforce's wasted potential is that Tuvok wasn't there as a much more vocal irritant/unintentional cockblock to Jaffen. Who hates him the whole time but is trying to act like he doesn't because Janeway REALLY likes him.

Okay second ramble of the day.
TLDR: casual transmisogyny is a growing, unaddressed issue in our community.
I feel like transmisogyny needs to be spoken about more in the radqueer community, as a transfem myself.
Why do I say this?
Recently, there’s been a rise in radqueer activism, which is GREAT. I am all for that. I think it’s fantastic that so many people are in a position to speak openly IRL about radqueer topics.
But as a transfem… this is dangerous for me and I cannot participate. In my DMs recently on another platform, a fellow (TME) RQ tried to guilt trip me about hiding my transage identity and other RQ identities IRL. They weren’t trying to be malicious, but I think it stems from the fact that for us transfems… we’re always overlooked.
The amount of anti-transfem rhetoric that falls back on using ageweird folks as a scapegoat is alarming. Before I even realized I was RQ, I’d see posts online about how all transfems are “evil 🗺️s in disguise”, and mocking transfems by saying things like “well I guess now I can call myself transage just to date a kid, since a trans woman can call herself trans just to get into the women’s room”… and if I were to be open as a transfem who’s ALSO a transage (OtY) person, that could be genuinely physically dangerous for me based on this vile propaganda and where I live.
I know that steps need to be taken to fight back, but I can’t. This isn’t me denying my own strength, this is me saying it is physically, mentally, and financially UNSAFE for me to be open and fight “on the frontlines”, so to speak. I’m the kind of person people mean when they say “we need to fight for those who can’t fight for themselves”.
I’m also appalled by the amount of RQ folks who throw around slurs they shouldn’t be saying without even realizing it. It’s not malicious, again, it’s simply because transfems get so overlooked. For example, this slur isn’t explicitly for us transfems, but I’m also intersex and it IS an intersex slur— hermaphrodite/“herm”. That is a slur. I have mixed opinions on the Japanese equivalent (“futa”/futanari), and I’m personally Chinese not Japanese, so I won’t be speaking on that.
Not to mention, i feel like us transfems always wind up being a scapegoat, or used as a “gotcha!” And then pushed to the side again instead of being consistently uplifted. People constantly compared the hatred of other transIDs to the hatred of transfems and compare antis to TERFs, which I agree with mostly. TERF rhetoric and the words of other types of exclus always wind up aligning, in my opinion.
My issue is that people feel comfortable mentioning my identity as a way to combat exclus and antis, but after that? Nothing.

have you ever considered...that identifying out of woman/girlhood because you don't relate to the societal implications, expectations, etc... contributes to making womanhood (feel) even more restrictive? maybe you feel better when thinking of yourself as anything but a girl/woman because you do not feel like a woman (what does that even mean?) but in my opinion you just added another brick into the prisonwall that is gender.

I will not say what this is specifically inspired by but. I think some of y'all out there need to remember that you cannot rely on context clues alone to understand political concepts and vocabulary. Y'all gotta look shit up and actually read some theory sometimes. You don't have to do a lot just maybe. You know. Make sure people aren't misusing a term en masse as the Internet is wont to do. Check a dictionary definition every once in a while. Ask for a TLDR from a trusted source. Do the bare minimum before you start reblogging fifteen thousand posts on a topic because you want to feel well-informed and like you're doing something but your options are limited. I promise you the posts will still be there when you have a better understanding of what's going on. And then you'll have a much lower chance of spreading misinfo or being a bitch! Just something to consider

A lot of people are completely disinterested in creating a safe space for all aros and aces because that would require letting go of being allowed to publicly shame things like sex and romance. There is a stark difference between repulsion/aversion and negativity, and that line stands where you treat those things as disgusting or as a personal fault/flaw. While I'm romance repulsed, I'm never going to go on my blog and call romance disgusting or gross, because it isn't; it's a feeling, neutral in morality, and a way to live your life if you so choose.
I don't think a lot of people get this or what the difference is. Anybody can be negative and anyone can have harmful ideas, favourable or repulsed. It's about how you treat it, how you express about it, and if you seek to demonise or make those things out to be disgusting, perverse, or deviant.
Even small things or "jokes" add up over time; put yourself in the shoes of someone who has to see those "jokes" made about their lifestyle and what's important to them every day, or even every hour. Would you still feel like they're lighthearted after even one day of reading over and over again?
[Not to say anyone who's done this in the past is a horrible, terrible person. You can change and grow as you take in info; that's just the life experience. But, to grow, you need to actively want to, and that means addressing biases and asking yourself "should I say this? Could this affect my peers?"]

while i was away the other week, i picked up a potential trim for my lady Stede dress, and i wanted to talk a bit more about it with you guys and see what you think !! (you can skip to the end for an opinion poll if you dont wanna read all the background spiel!!! tldr: do we like what i picked?)
so, Stede's costume is not particularly historically accurate, but the use of trim between mens & womens fashion is completely different anyway, so im not too worried about trying to find something that matches 100%. i mostly want something that brings the same effect to the garment, particularly in the colour. i went and found some high def images, so you can sort of see the structure of the trim.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The colour is somewhat hard to pin down, but i tend to see it as a sort of antique gold colour? it looks to me like tarnished metal (but i would love to hear about your opinions on the colour!)
The trim is much more subtle on the style of dress im making- most of the decoration is created through pleated stripes in the same fabric as the dress, with the decorative element lining the edges (and occasionally running down the centre). looking at extant examples, ive seen many different shapes of trim, though most of it seems to be looped cord or "fly fringe" - loose filament tied into little puffs or flowers (its super cute but hard to get a hold of and i dont think i care enough to make it)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
im not quite sure how im trimming this garment yet- i dont want to commit to anything until ive played around with what looks good on the actual dress, but i know i want to do at least some of this pleated design on there, so these styles are what i went out with in mind.
(ok, context established, onto my specific picks!) i really struggled to find trims i felt would work for this project- i wanted gold, but everything i was finding was too bright and shiny and not at all what i was going for. I ended up picking two things in the same dark gold colour that felt a bit more worn in, but definitely needed work to get the shapes i was looking for- one i think ill dismantle entirely and use the cord to make something new, if i end up using these.
the other was much closer to the kind of thing i wanted, but still needs work. it had two lines of loops and my plan is to remove one of the lines to create something more like the looping of the historic trims. ive pinned one line out of the way in the pictures below to give you a bit of a better idea of what i want, but please know this was a 5 minute edit, and the final result may be different!! (i also want to add that i dont think ill leave the border edge as wide, either- i want the trim to be a hint, not overwhelming)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(these images have been edited a little to try and capture colour accuracy, as my phone Did Not want to make the blue blue :/ the last image is the most accurate to the trim, i think)
i think my pick was absolutely the best option out of the ones i saw... only now im looking at it with my fabric, im not sure. it was the best kind of gold colour they had, but i feel like stedes is even darker and cooler in colour, almost a brown-grey tone. (honestly, this one is pretty brown when you look close, but what matters is the bigger picture, so :/ ) it feels to shiny and sparkly, and like it might stand out in the wrong kind of way.
i want this dress to feel like a genuine historical garment first and foremost, id rather it look cohesive and intentional than be accurate to the show and im doubting myself with this trim- but also i know it was by far the best option that i saw when i was actually looking at hundreds of gold trims... so, what do you think?

I’ve been thinking a lot about Tamlin’s family and a lot of the unnamed characters that we get descriptions and bits, but we never get names or characteristics and since I’ve been thinking about writing about Tamlin’s family I thought I would do just that.
Tamlin’s Father - Cernunnos: Associated with nature, fertility, and the wilderness, Cernunnos is a powerful and enigmatic deity often depicted with antlers.
Tamlin’s Mother - Eithne: This name means “kernel” or “grain” in Gaelic and is associated with fertility and the springtime growth of crops.
Tamlin’s Brother - Torin: Derived from the Gaelic word “tor,” meaning “hill,” Torin could represent the rugged landscapes of the Scottish countryside and its connection to the forest.
Tamlin’s Brother - Lachlan: Derived from the Gaelic word “lach,” meaning “lake,” Lachlan could symbolize the interconnectedness of the forest and its surrounding bodies of water.
I think everyone in the fandom knows that Tamlin is based off of Tam Lin who is a character from Scottish folklore. He is the hero of the ballad “Tam Lin,” which tells the story of a young man who is captured by the Queen of the Fairies, but is eventually rescued by his true love, Janet. So these names are inspired by Scottish folklore and Gaelic which refers to the language and cultural traditions of the Gaels, an ethnic group native to Scotland. So this includes elements of Gaelic culture but also draws from other cultural influences. Many Scottish folklore stories and legends have roots in Gaelic mythology and oral tradition, and Gaelic language and culture have played a significant role in shaping Scottish folklore over the centuries.
Now these characters that I’m adding are a personal headcanon on more of Tamlin’s family as I said in a previous post that I felt like he had a sister and @wingsdippedingold said that he definitely had a lot of female cousins which I agree with.
Tamlin’s Sister - Aileana: Derived from the Gaelic word for “green,” Aileana could symbolize the lushness and renewal of springtime landscapes.
Tamlin’s Cousin - Moira/Mòrag: Meaning “great” or “magnificent” in Gaelic, Moira or Mòrag could represent the awe-inspiring beauty of spring and the awakening of nature.
Tamlin’s Cousin - Elspeth: Meaning “God’s promise” in Scottish Gaelic, Elspeth could symbolize the renewal and hope associated with springtime.
Tamlin’s Cousin - Isla: Meaning “island” in Scottish Gaelic, Isla could represent the interconnectedness of land and sea in the natural world.
Tamlin’s Cousin - Lileas: This name is a Scottish variant of Lilias, derived from the Latin word for “lily.” It could symbolize purity, beauty, and the blossoming of flowers in the spring.
Now there are no names specifically opposite to Eithne, which is what I wanted for Tamlin’s aunt and Tamlin’s Mothers sister so I chose a name instead that could serve as complementary figures in Scottish folklore, representing different aspects of femininity, light, and darkness.
Tamlin’s Aunt - Catriona: A Gaelic form of Catherine, Catriona could symbolize grace, elegance, and refinement, contrasting with Eithne’s association with the wild and untamed aspects of nature.
Tamlin’s Uncle - Herne: A ghostly figure associated with the forest and hunting, Herne the Hunter is a mysterious presence in Scottish folklore.

Parallels between Bungou Stray Dogs and Divine Comedy
I believe that in the current chapters Asagiri is purposely sneaking in parallels to Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy. This post will cover the similarities and possible references between bsd's current arc and that book. At first I thought the Meursault prison corresponds to Hell, but now I believe it's actually Purgatory.
Introduction
Similarities
Final thoughts
Divine Comedy (in which the author - Dante - made himself the main character) talks about one's path to breaking free from sin and their growth as a person. It's divided into three parts: Hell, Purgatory and Paradise. During the first two parts, Dante's guide is Virgil (Beatrice comes at the end of Purgatory). In Hell they're going downwards, to the lower circles; in Purgatory they're going upwards, to the higher terraces.
The difference between those two places is that in Hell the souls are suffering endless tortures for their sins, meanwhile in Purgatory they're atoning for them and will eventually leave that place. Depending on what we think is more similar to what's happening in the Meursault prison, we could either interpret it as Hell or Purgatory.
As I said, I believe that it's Purgatory, as the characters are going up, starting from the lowest floor, and that journey helps them (Sigma and Dazai) to grow as a person.
When it comes to Fyodor, I'm not so sure. His goal is to get rid of the abilities, which he compares to a sin. This point acts more as an argument for the Meursault prison, or even his arc overall, to be Hell (not that it's like Hell for him, but more like that's how he thinks of the current events other characters are going through), as his idea of making the ability users free of the the sin is killing them and that's nothing like Purgatory. One could argue tho, that it is similar to the latter, because he wants to release the people from the sin, his idea how to do it and methods are just different.
Tumblr media
His character and ability are based on Crime and Punishment and that's literally what Dante's Hell is - endless punishment for one's sins. Moreover, Fyodor sees himself as the God's subordinate and Divine Comedy talks about the souls' sufferings because of their wrongdoings to God. It also talks about Dante's path to getting closer to God (metaphorically and literally), and Fyodor thinks of himself as someone between God and the people.
This analysis won't focus on him, but I wanted to point out the (important) religious themes in both of the stories.
What's also interesting is that Dazai and Fyodor (as the most dangerous ability users) had their cells located on the lowest level - similarly to Hell, where the worst people, traitors, were at the lowest ring. Although Dazai is a traitor to the PM, I don't think he parallels those from Dante's work, as they were meant to symbolize that betrayal is bad, but Asagiri shows that what Dazai did was good for him. They correspond to them in their "lack" of humanity and various commited crimes.
Now more of the similarities!
1. Briareus
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Purgatory, Canto XII; bsd chapter 98
The prison officer's nickname is "Hundred ability Briareus". In Greek mythology Briareus is one of the Hundred-Handers, who helped Zeus and the Olympians to overthrow the Titans.
Quick comparison to bsd: while bsd! Briareus gets killed by a person who's "working" for a prisoner, og Briareus eventually becomes a guard of those he was fighting against.
Briareus is also a character in Divine Comedy. He has two appearances: in Hell he's a giant inhabitating the Ninth Circle; in the first terrace of Purgatory he's one of the giants whose sin was pride. I'll focus on the latter, as it's more similar to the scene from chapter 98.
Dante's Briareus is a sympol of pride and bsd!Briareus says how powerful he is. Moreover, they're both more or less carved into the ground / wall (Dante's Briareus as a form of penance, bsd!Briareus by Chuuya's ability) of the first terrace / floor.
That would mean the Meursault prison is our Purgatory.
(more under the cut)
That scene also reminds me of the beginning of the Fifteen light novel, where Chuuya is really confident in his ability and makes fun of PM for being weak - interesting how he's the one to meet and kill Briareus (in Divine Comedy the meetings help Dante to become free of the sins). Also, the PM member from Fifteen is rather scared of Chuuya and shows him no respect, as opposed to the prison officer.
2. Flames and separation
In Canto XXVII, so almost at the end of Purgatory, Dante has to go through the flames in order to go to Paradise. Virgil can't come with him, as he's not Christian. Instead, he encourages Dante and reminds him of his free will.
In chapter 106.5 Sigma and Dazai also are in a situation involving flames, and even tho none of them actually go through them, they split up - Dazai doesn't leave the lift. Just like Dante and Virgil.
That, and the fact that a big part of Sigma's character is about being used (so not having free will) makes me believe they're paralleling Dante, making Dazai Virgil, their guide through the prison.
Sigma is in the process of finding themselves - similarly to Dante, who with the help of Virgil learns truths about love, good and bad, etc. This heavily reminds me of the conversation from chapter 105.5 about why Dazai chose them and his relationship with ADA.
Here's a comparison of their conversations:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After Dante goes through the flames and leaves Virgil, he sees the march of the Church, and Sigma may find Fyodor in the next chapters. Moreover, Beatrice says the Church is divided and sinful. The people are going into the direction of the tree of knowledge of good and evil (the tree that Eve and Adam got their apple from). Fyodor's view on the world really fits that description, take dead apple and the manifestation of his ability as an example.
3. Water
In Canto XXXI (where Beatrice is the guide) Dante goes through the waters of the river Lethe, which makes him forget his past sins. In XXXIII (the last part of Purgatory) Dante dips in Eone and becomes fully purified.
That obviously reminds me of Fyodor and Chuuya, and then Sigma and Dazai, drowning.
Chuuya - he's currently a vampire (who, because of that, might not remember his past for now - Lethe?). Both the transition to a vampire and being dipped in water have metaphorical meanings involving changing as a person. That situation, along with Dazai's words, could have helped him gain consciousness, at least for a second (you know the whole "his eyes were back to normal" thing), and "cleanse" him from the vampirism. Moreover, in his speech Dazai talked about their relationship, and the one who was by Dante's side when he went through Lethe was Beatrice, his lover. She also talked about love (Canto XXX) and Dazai's farewell was really emotional and more authentic than what he usually says. (Of course I'm not saying they're lovers, just pointing out the similarities)
Sigma - before drowning in Meursault, there was a different panel that showed them being in water. Fyodor talked there about Sigma's loneliness in this world - is Sigma's amnesia similar to Dante going through Lethe? (Or: before coming into Purgatory, Dante had to be washed, because he had to leave his worldly life behind. I think that fact corresponds to Sigma's life even more). Then we got the recent chapters where Dazai saves Sigma. I didn't find many "cleansing" themes in that scene, except for that panel, which reminds me of baptism (it cleanses the person from sins and is done with water):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What we can also get from these similarities is that Dazai doesn't necessarily have to correspond to Virgil, but also Beatrice, another guide.
4. Dreams
Throughout his journey, Dante has dreams that help him understand things better in one way or another. In one of them he sees Beatrice, who I already compared to Dazai. Atsushi "hallucinated" as well, in chapter 105. In that vision he sees Dazai who makes / motivates him to move. Atsushi's much like Dante as well - they both are on a journey to become a better version of themselves, but also idealise their mentors.
5. Ango
Just like the spirit, Ango is helping Dazai and Sigma to go through the prison (upwards). Dazai also calls him an 'angel'.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Purgatory, Canto XVII; bsd chapter 101
6. Mykola
The game Fyodor, Dazai and Sigma are playing was made by Mykola. One of the most famous works of the real Mykola Hohol is Dead souls, which some believe that he wanted it to be the Russian Divine Comedy. The book was meant to be a trilogy, but only one volume (that was meant to correspond to Dante's Hell) was created. I even found a reference to it, in which Chichikov (the main character) is compared to Dante:
Tumblr media
That point acts more as an argument for the game to be Hell, not Purgatory, but the relatedness to Divine Comedy is there. Or maybe it's more that Mykola wants the game to be like Hell, not Purgatory - either for Fyodor or Dazai, it's supposed to end in death. The other one's experience would be like Purgatory, tho, as he'd successfully leave the prison.
Or maybe, it's his journey that he wants to be like Chichikov and Dante's (since he wants to become free). Either way, that person is supposed to go through Purgatory later.
Also, does it mean the game is going to end before it was supposed to? If it hasn't already.
edit: more similarities in the reblogs!!
To sum up, I think one character doesn't have to correspond to just one person from Divine Comedy - and vice versa. Dazai is Virgil, but at the same time Beatrice, another guide, and also has some parts of Dante - he grows and goes through the Purgatory.
We don't have only one Dante - both Sigma and Atsushi share his traits and both go through their own paths to knowing themselves better (with the help of Dazai, too).
Bram and Aya's relationship is the one where, in my opinion, the levels of danteness and virgilness are most equal. Aya is Bram's guide, literally caries him on her back, but also shows him modern technology. Bram also helps Aya and guards her. Not to mention, they're at the highest part of the airport now, which means they have gone upwards.
I argued the Meursault prison is Purgatory, but I also found some similarities to Hell. It can be that it shares both of their traits, maybe depending on a character and what's happening to them.
The question is: is Asagiri writing this arc with so many similarities to Divine Comedy on accident or on purpose? Because if it was just the themes and archetypes that were alike, I wouldn't ask this question, but some of the things I listed are too resembling of Dante's work for me, especially Briareus and what happened in the lift. Not to mention real Hohol's connection to Divine Comedy.
If you have thoughts on this subject, please share! I've spent so much time thinking about this, I don't know anymore if I've gaslighted myself into thinking Asagiri must be doing it on purpose or not (but at the same time!! the similarities!!!). Yes, Dante is way older than every bsd author, but 1) we also have Shakespeare and 2) I believe it's a reference to Divine Comedy as a book, not that he'll be a new character (it'd be so cool tho). But even if it's not Asagiri's conscious doing, the similarities are still very interesting and I enjoyed looking for them.

Rwby really is the show people piss on the poor with but like visual animation edition my fuckin god
People who never watched the show beyond volume three but also somehow watched the first three volumes with their eyes and ears closed will never not kill me bc they inflate Jaune to be this evil awful screen time stealing character.
He’s part of the show. He had a purpose in the show. He has an arc in the show. You can hate him. You can dislike the writing choices. What you can’t do is use old arguments that do not hold up.
Jaune Arc is the realistic version of the bland male anime protagonist who becomes super cool and good at everything just by showing up. Jaune forged his papers. Jaune wanted to be the hero without having put in any of the work. He was years behind his classmates and guess what happened? He got multiple ass beatings. He failed. Because in real life you don’t just show up and suddenly become good. He has to work for it.
Pyrrha died because she entered a battle she couldn’t win. Jaune was upset by this because his partner and too late to act could’ve been love interest was much stronger than him but wasn’t stronger than Cinder. And Pyrrha knew. She could’ve escaped with him. But she didn’t. She died NOT to make Jaune sad, but because she felt that she had to fight. She was their choice for the maiden. She had to fight.
As for Penny. It was once again her choice. His power is literally to boost aura which helps speed up healing. Penny didn’t want him to. Penny chose to sacrifice herself and that fucking sucks but it wasn’t to make Jaune sad. She made her own choice. And MIND YOU she had asked Ruby to kill her FIRST. Jaune’s inability to save people is not Emo Fuel it’s the TRAGIC THEME OF HIS CHARACTER go listen to Quiet
Also the idea he has taken over the narrative is insane because if he had? PEOPLE WOULD UNDERSTAND HIS CHARACTER. instead we have people who are using him as a Chad doll alpha freak getting lesbians OR he’s still the guy who wouldn’t leave Weiss alone. Which ENDED AFTER DANCE DANCE INFILTRATION MIND YOU.
Anyway. As a fan of Jaune for who he actually is, which is the bland male protagonist trope pushed into a role he cannot fill because he had not yet put in the work, bad awful no literary processing power takes make me ill. The only thing worse or the no good faith idiotic takes about the main girls because at least with Jaune he was actually annoying at first. The Takes about the girls and especially Yang are hot flaming garbage based on A Single Line, Her Boobs, or their own projections onto her character
(Her literal trailer has her grabbing a man’s balls and telling him to call her sir please tell me where the hyper feminine girly is. Is she in the room with us? Did she fall into the ever after? God damn)

Every time I see one of those “Leave Comments on Fanfics!” posts, I’m always a little bit surprised. Cause I’m the type of fucker who LOVES to leave Comments. When I read an article and it has a comment section? Holy shit, I spend HOURS going through the thing point by point to make sure my comment is all encompassing
Then, from both my own experience as a fanfic writer and these posts, I realize I’m in the minority.
So hey, I don’t care if your fic came out before I was born, I WILL leave comments on every other chapter and I WILL publish my overall thoughts and vibes at the end.
Comment on Fanfics - I straight up dont even care if I get hate (which i have a few times) because its very funny to watch people impotently scream at their computer only for me to keep doing what I’m doing and making Anakin Trans.

All of the actors involved are too old because the beatles were teens/early 20s when they started. The premise itself sounds like trash and casting joseph quinn of all people to play george is a travesty in itself
you didn't have to link me my own post lmao i know what it says.
feel whatever you feel my friend but i think the premise sounds interesting. i would be really interested in why exactly you think it sounds "trash".
i also just don't think the age thing is a big issue? especially because iirc the early reports indicated the movies were set closer to the end. paul mccartney was 27 when they split up, paul mescal is currently 28. even joseph quinn is only 30. and he's a good actor! i don't love mescal as mccartney but i think mescal is also a great actor so i'm interested to see what he does with the role.
in general, i'm just shocked at how determined people are (people like you, frankly) to hate this movie before it even comes out. before it's even been filmed! and for such small, nitpicky reasons that honestly just feel like recycled twitter discourse. we've never had a big studio movie about the beatles before! isn't it cool to finally get one? isn't it so much more fun to be excited for things?
tl;dr oh my god it's literally fine you don't have to hate everything all the time
