i got to spend all day cooking for a captive but appreciate audience

slow-roasted tomatoes and caramelized onions -- they took two and a half hours! they came out perfect -- on a olive oil sourdough boule. an apple galette that i caʒ threw together with on a rough-laminated dough i'd made in advance. i meant to take a break and get everyone hot chocolate from the choco shop, but their line was absurdly long, so i came back made it instead.

another person came by at the end of the day and had the last section of galette and in particular complimented my crust, which i've gotten very good at in the last month.

#the caramelized onions were so good that when i dropped a piece on the floor...#i ate it anyway.#i'd just cleaned at least.#i wish i had a cute food tag #lair of the trapmaster
