I’m probably use this blog for writing, talking about said fandoms, obsessively thinking about my ocs for each said fandom, and making very politically(/j) incorrect analysis about characters. And, more! I’m sorry this is so long, really just ask me abt anything and it’ll eventually happen.

Last thing: I might post about my own stories that are… painfully unfinished, so here’s a brief intro about each (they’re all heavily inspired by my respective fandoms, we don’t talk abt that):

*Insert Dramatic Title* (IDT): A robot by the name of Edis is asked to save humanity from a prophecy stating that, from five years from now, the world will end.

Slaughterhouse (SH): A pair of twins live in a “Haven Town” where there outside world was shrouded into an apocalypse. They learn how to truly survive in such a restrictive environment and find out the subtle corruption of their system.

‘Vest of the ‘Usual (VOU): A young boy has unusual abilities that leads him to work in the government, which depicts him having to do the unthinkable: go to school. And, do his job, that too.

Act I (A1): Olesia Lexina has had one dream all her life: protect humanity from the evil that is godlyhood! This follows her journey through the ideal of becoming on of the top members of the “Guardians of Humanity”.

Project: New World (P:NW): The government has allowed a project and organization by the name of “New World” to attempt to “purify humanity of all of its wrongdoings” and it has taken the world by storm; unfortunately, Chara has absolutely no interest in any of it.

The Eight Tragedies (T8T): An Angel has come to earth to ultimately destroy everyone on it, in which a humanities major named Reminiscence gives the world (her two friends) a chance to fix their problems before it can do so—by going into the past eight times to fix mistakes that should’ve never happened.

Majic Girl: BOOM ★ (MG:★): this one is something I’ve been meaning to get motivation to work on properly. A young freshman girl watches her whole world turn upside down (close to literally) to as some sort of eldritch horror resurfaces the earth! And she is one of the few people making the attempt to kill it.

$1 Supermarket ($1): The economy as we know it had crashed after inflation has risen way too high to the point even the upper class finds it hard to buy anything. Thus, a brand new chain store by the name of $1 Supermarket has arisen! Where everything is exactly $1! And there’s like, a bunch of monsters everywhere, but that’s besides the point.

oh god on tumblr?? it's not that tumblr isn't still brimming with bad berserk takes, but I am fairly good at evading those, and besides if I wanted some truly terrible berserk analysis, I could simply go on reddit. I think "the ideal culmination of their arcs would be for guts and casca to become king and queen of midland" is, well, I've certainly never heard that one before, but I find it more funny than offensive, and truly bad takes are the ones that feel like the story is purposely being misread to fuel downright dehumanising ways of thinking; so you know what I'm giving this to the racist fyodor x reader blog that talked abt how fyodor would never lower himself to selling his body and then basically went "(like that whore griffith from berserk)" which I still think is one of the most maddening things I've witnessed. perhaps not a berserk specific take, but a tumblr moment if I've ever seen one. ofc if we were talking outside of tumblr I'd have much worse things to show for. you truly got anything from misogyny posting to to blaming people for their csa out there (its a beautiful world), but tbh one of my favourites is the "guts left bcs he was trying to escape griffiths clutches". dostoevsky I'm not sure I can think of anything particularly outrageous, you must understand the true opponent of dostoevskyblr isn't the bad takes its the people trying to disguise tiktok poetry as quotes

7. what character did you begin to hate not because of canon but because of how the fandom acts about them?

okay to start off with I don't think there's a single character in bsd that I truly hate: asagiri is too good of a character writer for this and I think the few that I do feel some disdain towards or find myself unintrested in could still be brought closer to me if asagiri could please get back to writing shoujo-esque character driven party conflicts and novels, instead of playing powerscaling with the 5th dimension. unfortunately i think the worst fanon treatment is that of my favourite characters. would be alot easier if I hated them.

i guess chuuya could almost be counted here, because although I very much like chuuya, he used to. basically be my favourite character (??) which honestly baffles me and I cannot quite understand why, but then again, that was many years ago when bsd was in a very different state, both story and fandom wise. I really don't want to look at much of fanon chuuya content and don't find him outstandingly interesting, but I will acknowledge that it is quite fruitless to complain chuuya should get so much attention even though he's "a side character" when we have asagiri to thank for two chuuya centric light novels with the approximate page count of les miserables.

i also do not really like kōyō and find the girlboss mafioso thing very weird and off putting, but it sucks to say this because there are also alot of people who clearly judge her through the misogynistic lense.

and I think everyone should shut the fuck up about mori and talk about something else. I like mori, but I actually find it quite exhausting how even when you're amongst mori likers they can never ever turn down the morality discourse, enough! I don't care what he is he's not real can we like actually talk abt his role in the story in a meaningful way. please.

I swear to god the bsd fandom is four times the size of what it was when I got here (and mind you bsd was never that underground) and yet the fic count has gone up by like ten. and I have likely seen dead apple more than any other living person so I know how bad of a movie it is (though i think you are truly missing out on the sheer amount of homoeroticism if you do not invest in it even a little bit) but no one can deny how visually appealing shibusawa's character design is, so it is crazy to me that people aren't more eager to draw her. I've also never forgiven tiktok for what they did to dazatsu. we used to have it all in like 2017. we were pioneers. but overall I don't feel unsatisfied with fan content for bsd, it's always been expansive.

22. your favorite part of canon that everyone else ignores

i don't know if I have a good answer for this, just because berserk is so extremely appraised that it never feels like there’s a part of canon left untalked about, but I do know that my love for the black swordsman arc far surpasses that of the average berserk fan, and though I see it discussed often enough there really isn't any fanfic or something of the sort focusing on that period in time, which is rather sad for me bcs I think guts cringfail pursuit of femto is very funny. I also just have always liked millennium falcon, and don't feel like others particularly care for the inner workings of the kushan regime, or mule, or the ganishka conflict as a whole which I think is pretty lit. the cosmology lore in those chapters is much more compelling than whatever guts has going on in mage world.

Hello, hello! Welcome to the party I like to be miserable here.

Ohh gosh okay so everything I've posted about this au so far is under the coffin emoji tag (⚰️) if you want to roll through that for everything I've said about it so far!!

It isn't really about anyone specific, if I'm honest. Its more of an au playground for me to explore different characters and situations in this world. When I eventually have the time and energy to write for it, it will likely be different oneshots of different places & different times in the world! I love au building but am very interested in how I can take an alternate world and still be true to character. For BSD, abilities and their impacts on their users create a large part of who those characters are, and I'm really enjoying finding ways to replicate those certain traumas and traits in a zombie apocalypse no-abilities setting. I want to stay as true to character as possible in this new world!

One of my favorite headcanons for it so far is that adult Dazai has a glass eye. Its for plot/lore reasons, mostly, but also because I think its a trait that fits him kind of well. I can't think of many other specific headcanons for it right now that aren't more event-based, but I'll try to think of some!

I'm not sure how you define cool, but I've got this kind of idea going that in what seems to be the end of the world, certain characters that parted antagonistically but still care about each other to a certain extent start seeking each other out, or at least one of them starts seeking the other. I've got this happening with Chuuya and Shirase (in this universe, they didn't make up as they did in Stormbringer.) I also want it to happen with Ango and Dazai, eventually.

Details about the world itself? The zombie virus began as an attempt at biological warfare that got out of control, but i'm not bothering to set a true point of origin because that isn't what's important to the story. Generally speaking, once you're bitten, you're going to turn into a zombie... with a few very special exceptions (looking at Atsushi, Dazai, and Rimbaud--each in a different way, though!). There are a couple "survivors" of the zombie virus that are technically "cured" but that's a very loose term. As of right now, at least, you cannot actually "cure" it, but certain experiments (hello, Chuuya and Verlaine) suffered through a method of potentially curing. This was generally considered to be a failure, but hey, some made it out (barely. not really.)

I liked your lil explanation on flower languages (I didn’t know there were 2!!!! Cool shit). I actually went on a trip last weekend and I saw flowers and immediately thought about you and the flower languages (I’m not sure what flowers they were but one of them was bell shaped like morning glory, and the other looked like biiiig lavender but it wasn’t? Idk)

Also, I looked up sunfish cause I thought it was hilarious you hated them so much but….they….are terrible little creatures. Going down the rabbit hole was strange and I’m genuinely not sure how they survive as long as they do. 😭 I can’t say I hate them but I am *deeply* disturbed that they look like that.

AND, if you would be inclined, I am curious about your ocs >:3 I love seeing the cool stuff people come up with!

this is revna. they’re my owari no seraph oc. she’s a hybrid vampire (like mikaela) and she goes by she/they pronouns. she’s asexual and polyromantic. she was partially turned a bit before mikaela and bc she also refused to become a full vampire, they bonded quickly. they became attached at the hip in the years leading up to the canon events. she’s very quiet and nonchalant, very reserved, but she can be fiercely protective over mikaela, especially when it comes to ferid.

this is eileen foxe. she goes by she/her and she’s demisexual. she was alive during the 1920s and worked as a flapper in new orleans. her and her little sister were orphaned at a young age and the money she was making as a flapper wasn’t enough to provide for both of them so she resorted to theft and breaking and entering. eventually, she met alastor and started to help him lure in his victims. she was 22 when she died. after she arrived in hell and gained her overlord status, she became known as “hell’s trickster.”

this is kaida hayashi. she’s my jjk oc. she goes by she/they and she’s pansexual. she’s half special grade curse and the curse part of her is a dragon. she lost the most important person to her and ended up cursing both herself and that person. she is able to morph into her dragon.

i also have an atla oc, a bsd oc, an aot oc, a hotd oc, and a dbh oc. i need a refresher on all of them so i’ll probably make separate posts for them.

my favorite songs are bubblegum - valeria & dolly liaa, p*rnstar - nessa barrett, and texas - blake shelton. i don’t really have a specific music taste. i have everything from country to jazz to the blues to kpop to traditional japanese music, etc. on my playlist.

bsd on terrorism and self-immolation

now such a fancy title for something i didnt go in-depth into. i just have these momentary neat thoughts popped up in my head while i was looking up irl-based terrorism for an essay for one of my subjects (i'm a lit major, not polsci but i needed to cite some examples on something so yeah) but enough of why i came to this point. i just realize that some of their methods, ways, and motives are so so resembling that of doa and fyodor (well, i mean, it's terrorism so ofc the patterns would align)

but what i am realizing more is about dazai's intention on why he is in the same prison as fyodor. (someone might have tackled abt this topic and more in-depth than mine but pls i'm just having fun ;;;) but yes, anyway, the more obvious reasons why he's there is to watch his moves and move according to his observations so they can foil fyodor's plans but during their time in there, they also argue, right??? example of which is dazai rebuking fyodor's ideologies of the god he worships and the plans he call perfect and harmonious and the holiness of his mission, and i also took note that dazai might also be trying to tear down fyodor's ideologies bit by bit. you know, idk how dazai does it and honestly i can only brush the surface bcs he's a character smarter than me, but in a creative-writing way of explaining it, dazai might be sizing up the threads in fyodor's ideologies, following their trail so he can piece the bigger picture, then find the root of it, rip it out, disentangle it, and throw it back to fyodor in a messy and unconnected threadpool - of course, that is, presuming he would win against fyodor. and well knowing dazai, he isnt the type who teaches others lessons by talking and talking and talking...he wants to show it to them, and of course, if things don't go to worse, he might be able to pick up that threadpool of fyodor's ideologies when all his plans are effective against his and throw it back to his face and watch him try to make it make sense again

and that's where self-immolation comes in. by definition, immolation is an act of sacrifice by giving up or giving into destruction. self-immolation is just equals to self-destruction. (i could have just said self-destruction, i know, but self-immolation sounds fancier. let me indulge ;;;) now of course if you have these ideologies you've been holding onto your whole fucking life that they're basically your life guide, your anchor, your north star, your lifeline, having it crushed and disentangled into a bunch of balderdash that aren't coherent anymore because there's an argument that can slap you right across the face and prove you wrong, you would be salvaging the pieces left or worse, you would go into a total meltdown while trying to salvage the scraps that can't even materialize or form into a familiar picture in front of you anymore. and idk,,,,in my head, i picture fyodor being just so lost and confused at the threadpool dazai tosses back to him. he tries to knit back the things he believe in but no he wouldnt be able to anymore, bcs the threads dont match, they got tangled up to others, and others are lost in the mist. and knowing fyodor, who probably have spent his entire life pursuing That Specific Goal, that he probably have sacrificed a lot for it, holding unto pride for life's worth, as an act of sacrifice to himself, his pride, and his ideologies, i just can't help but imagine him....giving into destruction, giving into death as a message to the world that they might not have heard his plea but such a thing as himself and his mission exists and that's enough to convey to everyone else what he believes in, even if it at the end it pathetically becomes a one-man show...

BUT DEAR HEAVENS I WOULDN'T IN MY WHOLE LIFE WISH FOR BSD TO END WITH FYODOR DYING, JUST NO-

asagiri doesn't squander deaths unless the effects of it would matter in the narrative but i don't really think that explanation i laid out would matter to the narrative when there's the option of redemption that can fit with his backstory

and also personally, i really don't want him to die (bcs well, you know, just don't. i love him, just don't.)

but it was fun thinking how that can be a possible turn of events in the series just based on my meager research. now none of what i said can or should be taken as a truth. i'm just really having fun here because finally, the things i love doing and my interests finally align to what i am doing in university so yeah

I have a bunch of new followers and I'm not sure how many actually checked my about (also I haven't looked at what my abt says in a year so it doesn't rly matter) so...

I'm Natalya, I'm 19 (almost 20, if that makes you uncomfortable feel free to leave). I'm androgynous nb (meaning I don't swing towards a direction. Irl I present more feminine because that's safer for me). I go by any pronouns, I would prefer they/them but like who cares, I don't have time nor do I care about people misgendering me so.

I experience some dysphoria but that's personal to me. I find it extremely unnecessary and dangerous to talk about the inner workings of your own mental issues online. I will mention that I most likely suffer from bipolar disorder and minor autism and am currently unmedicated. I try to keep my suffering off my blog because when I hurt I tend to lose control and talk openly abt triggering topics.

I will tag literally anything, I don't care how small or "stupid".

I am an anarchocommunist. If you are a marxist-leninist (or just openly a tankie/stalinist) I am going to avoid you. I find your reliance on hierarchical systems naive and stupid. If you are a tankie/ML/MLM who has no personal family connection to former communist countries I am going to straight up block you. I am a second generation immigrant of a family from a former "communist" (Marxist-Leninist) country (Bulgaria). The way westerner MLs discuss these countries is strange and inaccurate and I hate it.

I live in brisbane. I am attending university for a bachelor of fine arts maj. creative writing min. film studies. I am also studying japanese in my own time and intend on completing a degree in translation studies after i graduate from my current degree. I can translate some short passages if you like, or give you summaries of stuff in japanese.

I post abt stuff that I'm interested in (ie films and anime, particularly bsd), funney, and politics.

I don't have a dni or dnf, I do have a fairly lengthy "it's recommended you don't follow me if you're one of these because you won't have a good time".
