fun things that happened at idkhow philly
during vip, when asked about the gloom division cover art and what inspired it, dallon mentioned that he represented the sin of pride! i forgor what movie he said inspired the black tar
also during vip, breezy amelie and knox were bowling. because the brooklyn bowl is in fact an active bowling alley. also amelie is fucking TALL
apparently he and breezy have a short list of brobecks songs he'd like to remake with idkhow and on that list is ollie, BIG WIN FOR TRANSGENDER PEOPLE!!!
also apparently their ronnie (their drummer) keeps breaking snares. king please stop drumming so hard
benches were okay! i was not into their energy but the frontman was kinda cute
i dont remember when this happened but The Concert Baby.
the Concert Baby had some sick dance moves
DALLON WEEKES MY BEAUTIFUL WIFE <3 he wrapped the mic cord around his neck like right in front of me but i didnt get a picture
i think anthony had glitter on his face? his face was very sparkly
right before kiss goodnight, dallon talked about how his family flew out to philly and he was so excited abt it he couldnt sleep
to roughly quote my dear friend cricket, he prances around onstage like a newly born deer frolicking in the fields
when the band came back onstage for encore, there was a pick like right on the edge of the stage and after some wild gesturing anthony gently placed it into my hands. i will cherish this moment in my mind for the rest of forever
#me.txt#my show#idkhow#i am such a professional concert reviewer#shout-out to the girl behind me and cricket who was stoned off her ass and very chatty. incredible vibes

IN INTERVIEW
Julien Baker, the interview 6/8/2016
At just 20 years old, Julien Baker gave us last year a first album of intense and rare emotional force, the superb Sprained Ankle reviewed here . A moving record that left a deep and lasting mark on me. It was therefore impossible to miss the young American's arrival in Paris and not to take advantage of the opportunity to try to get to know this outstanding artist a little better. A meeting was thus organized thanks to the invaluable help of Sean, her manager, in a café in the 12th arrondissement, two hours before the young lady's very first Parisian concert, on May 24. A one-on-one meeting that revealed to me an adorable and voluble young woman, incredibly touching and sincere, and above all determined to seize life with all her might! A moment of exchange and sharing that I am not ready to forget.
Hello Julien!
Julien Baker : Hello!
First of all, thank you very much for granting us this interview. I am a big fan of your music and it makes me really happy to meet you!
Oh, thank you! It's a great pleasure for me too, you know! I still can't believe that people like my music enough to want to meet me to talk about it. So thank you, from the bottom of my heart, really!
Perfect! Let’s start at the beginning of your story. I read that you’ve been making music for a while now. Could you summarize the journey that led you to where you are today?
Yeah, sure! I started listening to music in middle school. It was rock, I was really into it with painted nails, black eye makeup, all that stuff! [laughs] Then I started playing in bands, punk bands mostly. Then I joined Forrister which is the band I still play in today. We were playing shows in cities around our area. Then I went to college and a friend of mine who worked in a studio there offered me to record with him for free. Since my band couldn't be there, I did it solo, without any specific plans. I put the album out on Bandcamp for $2 or $3 a copy.
That's when Sean [Julien's manager] contacted me and suggested we release the album in a more official and professional way. I told him that I was actually in a band, Forrister, and that no one would be interested in me as a solo artist. He insisted and even though I didn't believe it at all, I agreed to give it a try. I'll always remember the day he called me to tell me that NPR [National Public Radio] was going to play my single. I hung up crying and immediately called my mom all excited to tell her the news! But then, as things seemed to start to take off for me, I started to doubt myself. I felt guilty towards the rest of the band, thinking that they would resent me for doing this project without them. So I called the drummer and asked him what they thought and he said they were just proud and super happy and not mad at me in any way. So I kept going and here I am! I never thought I would come to Europe and do all this, it's crazy, really!
During the band's time, did you already have this desire to write your own songs?
I don't think I had any real unfulfilled desire to do this.
But you were writing?
Yes, I wrote my own songs. But not because the band was holding me back or preventing me from doing it within the collective. It's just that sometimes you write songs but they don't fit the moment. So I put those lyrics aside, like that, without any specific goal. I've always written and played in different bands. There was enough space for all that, things didn't have to be done exclusively in one framework or another.
Were your parents musicians?
Not really. Well my dad bought me a guitar and showed me how to play it. So I started playing by practicing at home on my own. I also took piano lessons but for a very short time. My teacher didn't really like me because I didn't work hard enough. I just played by ear without wanting to learn to read music and he didn't like that. So I taught myself. But my parents were big music fans. They played records all the time at home. When I was younger I wanted to go to a concert, my dad would come with me to make sure I was safe! He was the only adult in the middle of all these tattooed and pierced kids! [laughs] Oddly enough it never bothered me. When he made a surprise appearance at the Bowery Ballroom for my concert in New York, I was so proud! He and my mom have always been a great support!
This is really great!
Yes I know !
In addition to being an author and composer, you are also a student. Are you still going to university?
I just finished my semester. It's currently summer vacation. But I think I'm going to take a break in the fall. I completed the theoretical part of my literature course thanks to online courses. The last thing I need to fully validate my teaching diploma is the practical part, in school with students. I tried to do it last fall but it's complicated to carry out both projects at the same time: give lessons during the week then take a plane to California or New York on the weekend to play a concert, before returning to teach on Monday morning! So I'm going to take a break to devote all my time to music.
Do you want to teach one day?
I think I would really enjoy teaching. I love it. As a teenager I was a summer camp counselor, I love children. So yes it would be really cool to teach!
You studied literature. Did that influence your way of writing?
Yes, totally! I try to feed myself as much as I can from all these different ways of perceiving life and emotions that I find in books. It enriches me intellectually speaking. I have the feeling of learning new things about myself each time I discover a new author and this is then reflected in my writing I think, consciously or unconsciously.
Are you familiar with French literature?
Voltaire! I often joke with my professor friends that I would really like to have a big Voltaire and Cervantes tattoo! I already have a Gabriel Garcia Marquez tattoo [Julien then shows me his 2-part tattoo on the inside of his 2 wrists]…
Is he your favorite writer?
One of my favorites, I can't choose just one! And so when my students would complain that Voltaire is an old man who's not cool, I could show them my Voltaire tattoo and prove to them that it's really cool! [laughs] Reading Candide really changed my life. It was incredible! I think the translation of the title is The Optimist , which is quite ironic. Cervantes wrote Don Quixote and we have this word in English, "quixotic" which means optimistic but optimistic to the extreme, to the point where even if everything is going wrong in your life and you know it, you continue to believe in it despite everything. There is a really romantic and admirable dimension to that attitude I find. Same for Candide where there is this quote that I always come back to when I feel really bad and which says: "I wanted to kill myself a hundred times, but I still loved life" . I think I cried when I first read that sentence. Anyway, I could talk about literature for hours, don't drag me down that dangerous path! [laughs]
Haha, ok. So back to the music! Listening to your album I couldn't help but think of two other artists I really like: Sharon Van Etten and TORRES…
I love TORRES!
Me too! I even did my very first interview with her!
Wow! She's amazing!
Do you agree with this comparison even if the artists in question do not come from the same scene as you?
I totally agree with this comparison! As a teenager I only listened to punk and thought that anything that wasn't punk was worthless. Then I grew up as a musician and learned to appreciate all styles. When you really love music, you love an artist as long as their music is honest and good, no matter what the style. It doesn't matter if it's hip hop or country or whatever!
I totally agree!
And so I'm a big fan of TORRES! I loved her first album, the one before Sprinter . The song Honey is the very first one I heard from her.
The same !
And oh my god, what a song! I played with her in Chicago, I was added as the opening act at the very last minute, I felt so honored! On my way to the dressing room, I ran into her and as I was saying "Oh sorry, I don't want to bother you" she said "No, come on, this is a shared space, you have as much right to be here as I do" and she kindly invited me in. As for Sharon, it's funny because the first time I met her, she asked me to have lunch with her, can you imagine having lunch in New York with Sharon Van Etten! And she told me she was also going to invite her friend Mackenzie [Mackenzie Scott aka TORRES]. But our phones died and we couldn't get a hold of her. So in Chicago TORRES couldn't make the connection, I was just the little girl at the door!
Excellent! Are there any other musical influences that you would claim?
Do you know David Banzan?
Nope…
Ok. There's a band called Pedro The Lion and David Bazan is the lead singer. He influenced me quite a bit. And do you know Death Cab For Cutie?
Yes of course !
They were the first non-punk band I listened to. At the time I only listened to loud and fast music, but when I heard Transatlanticism for the first time it was a shock, everything changed. They really meant a lot to me.
Your texts are very strong and very personal. When you wrote them, did you think about the impact they could have on those around you first and then on the general public?
Well, at first, I didn't imagine that this solo album would lead me anywhere, I was convinced that my music would only be made with my band Forrister. So when I released the album on Bandcamp, I really thought that only my friends would listen to it. So I wrote all these songs like that, just for me, without really thinking about the scope of the lyrics. And I'm ultimately happy that I didn't think about it because if I had known what was waiting for me, I think I would have most certainly changed things, I would have probably been more reserved in my words. But if it's difficult for me to show my vulnerability, I realize that it's totally worth it when young people come up to me after concerts to tell me that my music has helped them in difficult times in their lives. It's of course a little embarrassing for me to share such intimate things but if these things make others feel good, then I think it's worth it in the end.
But isn't it a little scary to expose yourself so completely naked and transparent? It's so brave, I don't know if I could do it myself!
Well, you see, it's exactly the same for me, I'm not sure I would have been able to do it if I had known everything in advance! But now that it has happened, I feel that from now on I have the right, the license to be brave. Perhaps it was the plans of destiny or God, something like that.
And isn't it too difficult for you to sing songs every day that inevitably bring you back to painful moments?
I think there are two options. Option one: I can sing these songs every night, let them take me back in time and feel sorry for myself. Option two: there is the quote from this poet that I love who says that all the horrible things in life just need to be seen from a different and courageous perspective. Things that seem bad can indeed turn out to be good in the end. So I have chosen to let the dark and sad aspects of my songs become pretexts to be positive and happy. Because yes, all these things have happened to me but if that had not been the case, I probably would never have written these lyrics and I would not be here today in Paris talking to you, Laurence! In the grand scheme of things, everything has a meaning and works for our good in the end.
That's very beautiful what you say! [laughs] To talk about lighter things, this is your first time in Europe, isn't it?
Yes !
How do you feel?
I love it! I have such a good time. Well I don't sleep much... [laughs]
Is it the time difference or the excitement?
Well now it's the excitement! But a week ago it was also the jet lag [laughs]. Imagine, we traveled for over 30 hours straight to get here! I first took a plane to Richmond and then a train to Washington DC. We then took a flight to Iceland where we took another flight to Copenhagen. Once there we took a train but due to a problem on the tracks we had to take a bus that took us to another train! When we arrived at the hotel, we were totally exhausted! [laughs] It was 11 o'clock in the evening but at that time of year the sun hadn't set because we were so far north and my body didn't understand anything at all! But hey after a good night's sleep everything was better! And now if I don't sleep it's just because I don't want to miss anything, not a single minute you know! I thought I would never be able to afford to travel and once again it seems that Destiny's plans are extraordinarily kind to me. I feel so grateful and lucky!
And that's just the beginning!
I hope so! But you know, even if everything had to stop, well in any case it would have been much, much more than I could have imagined! I am so grateful for everything that is happening to me!
Are there any particular places you want to discover?
Sean has been here before and wants to show me places he liked. Today he took me to see the Sacré-Cœur which is beautiful. On my side, there are also places I would like to visit, especially in Barcelona, because I am majoring in Spanish literature. I would like to go to the café where Picasso had his very first exhibition, long before he was famous. I would also like to see the Sagrada Familia, Gaudi's work, visit a museum, buy a Viva Cataluña t-shirt and eat paella. I am so excited to be able to do all these things!
That's great! But it's going to take you some time to do all of this!
We are staying there for the whole festival [Primavera Sound Festival]. So we should have some time. Of course we won't sleep much because in the evening I also want to attend the concerts!
You'll sleep when you get home!
Exactly! Since I am a big coffee drinker, one of my friends gave me a badge for my jacket that says "I will sleep when I am dead" ! [laughs] There are indeed so many things to experience in one life! [laughs]
And what are your plans for after the European tour?
We're actually going to be touring until the end of the year.
Will you come back to Europe?
We're going to Australia in November I think. I can't wait! We're also going to tour the States so as for Europe I don't really know... And then I hope to have some free time early next year. I'm always writing new songs that I play live. I must have 30 demos on my computer and I'd really like to record them. So it would be great if I could get into the studio early next year!
Last question: do you have one or more musical recommendations to share with us?
Lucy Dacus!
Oh I love it!
We played together in Washington DC. I had never heard her songs before Washington and I remember hearing the lyrics to Map On A Wall which say "I hope good comes from good and good comes from bad anyway" and I started crying all by myself watching her play. Her music is so beautiful, so powerful! And we have so much in common: questions of spirituality, sexuality and faith, questions about gender too and the place of girls in rock music. We are really like two halves of the same person. We have the same booker and were approached by the same label. And when I saw her again in Richmond I knew we operated exactly the same way. So our biggest fear is that we will one day become jaded and arrogant. We want to remain grateful, sincere and enthusiastic. There are so many people who do this for a long time and end up jaded. It's really great to find someone who feels exactly the same way you do, and that's the case with Lucy. We're platonic soulmates! She's a very, very dear friend.
You must tell her at all costs to come and shoot in Europe and in Paris because there are people waiting for her here!
Promise! I'll send her a message as soon as I have wifi!
Lucy Dacus! A perfect choice! Thank you very much Julien!
Thank you! It was great!

Oh wow 🫠 collecting my thoughts the day after The Day. Long rant ahead.
It’s truly one of the most beautiful concert experiences I have ever had. The intimacy of the venue and all the love from the very excited audience was so special. His live vocals are incredible! I was a bit worried how he would handle the dance routines and keep his vocals on top but certainly no need to worry. The sound and his vocals were amazing through out the show. His stage presence is also something very unique, he has this glowing energy and just radiates and it’s very natural and feels like he is in his right element when he performs on stage. The dance routines were also on point and he is such a smooth and beautiful dancer.
I also liked the diversity and the planning of the set list. I was a little surprised that he added Build a girl for example but that song became a nice toned downed version and he was sitting on a chair singing it. People filling in the lyrics and he made a shout out and thanks to Felix and Oscar in the audience. It was a sweet moment for him to cherish his start, telling us about it and praise his band members. And Mapei came in during Om du inte fanns and Jubel appeared during Off my mind.
He did some small talk between songs and had a lovely talk about moving to Sweden and praising his mom as well. And a talk on YR ofc. And was so sweet and caring when a fan needed support and needed to be removed from the floor by security and waited till it’s was all clear and he made sure to get a “good to go” answer from the security before continuing.
I read a review in DN (one of Swedens two large morning papers) and first I was disappointed of it, and still is to some extent, but it was also a very promising review. It basically says that his own song catalogue doesn’t hold for a full concert yet, since covers were included, and that his small talk were good on paper but didn’t fly on stage. And they criticized him speaking English, which actually shows they had no idea how loved he is around the world and that so many fans had come and he was just respectful to them. I can understand some of her points though (after my first reaction lol), that he dreams big and talks about fulfilling dreams but has not fully reach a level of being a the top level artist (due to song catalog) She could have focused more on his stage presence etc but ofc they hit in the things they can. But I also find that review very hopeful. It was his first show, the song catalog will grow. He can develop the small talk and make the breaks in the show more tight, to not loose momentum. Those are things he can change. The reviewer compared him with a young Darin, who is now one of the biggest names in Sweden and he also has a big career abroad. So she clearly see his potential to grow. And she had no complaints on his stage presence, singing and his performance. How could she have. That was clearly on point. And he got a 3 on a scale from 0-5. Getting a 2 is equal to “pass”, so he still got a review above “good enough”. It would have been nice if she would have mentioned his amazing voice.
I brought a friend, she just listened in on his songs before the show, and she was absolutely floored by his performance and personality.
I am so so proud and happy for him. For him (and us) , this really was to fulfill one of his dream. He has had the dream to make his first solo concert for so long. The professional way he excelled doing it with his family and friends there, all the loving fans (he also shows he loves back), was just magical and very beautiful ❤️

The Monkees Revolution Blog
I really have no idea what I am doing with this venture, or how to start it off. What I do know is that I am extremely passionate about The Monkees... and I have a lot of time on my hands.
Any friend of mine has suffered long intellectual essays about how truly fascinating and impactful this group was, is, and continues to be. I love to flesh out my thoughts and research into extensive pieces of writing and research- which have never had anywhere to go!
As a little introduction: My name is Shannon and I am 19 years old. I have always been a fanatic for older music and all things 60's. However, I discovered my love for the monkees nearly two years ago. I have since practically devoted my life to the band! I flew solo across the country to see Micky Dolenz in concert this past April and it was the most amazing experience of my life! I have been involved in the monkees community online since the beginning of my journey, and have decided to now take a professional approach to my adoration for these "four zany boys".
I plan to share my personal essays, blurbs, and reviews on the topic of The Monkees (and the respective individual members). As well as just sharing songs, interviews, concert footage, tv show clips, quotes, articles, anything I find interesting/relevant to my blog!
With my articles I will be working to improve my writing skills and further my research on the history of the band, win win! I am very new to tumblr and still learning the ropes. I hope this endeavour will be enjoyed by all you Monkee nuts out there ;)
ps. today is the 57th anniversary of The Monkees series premiere, Sept. 12 1966! What a lucky day to begin this blog.

Shinedown—“Threat to Survival” 9 Year Retrospective/Review
I have often wondered how qualified I am to talk about Shinedown in any sort of quasi-objective or professional manner. I am a super-fan who is hyper-aware of every move the band publicly makes, so much so that I dedicated a social media page to it. Is there any way in which I could give Shinedown fair criticism, should they ever need it? This thought plagued me as I prepared to revisit Threat to Survival, the band’s fifth studio album, in the form of a written review. I have such positive memories and affiliations with this record, and I could not wait to share how this record changed the course of the band’s career; however, Active Rock is sorely lacking critical music reviews on an elevated level. There is a level of buzz-wording and anti-radio sentiment that plagues rock journalism to this day and makes it overall non-interesting.
youtube
Where to begin?
“Asking For It,” the blistering opening track is a thrilling first look into the record that hits the listener with such speed and dopamine that the content and purpose of the song cannot be fully processed until the track is over. What seems to be and lyrically functions as a warning call to those who use position and authority to spit on the little guy who may just fight back later, two other things are going on here.
youtube
First, the album is said by the band in multiple interviews at the time of the record to be eleven different scenarios of life and death contemplations and contradictions, serving as a stark opposition to optimistic, tide-turning Amaryllis that put a bookend in Mainstream/Active Rock crossing into popular culture (Which is, for the most part, continuing to this day, twelve years later). “Asking” is maddening, and it demonstrates a shift in writing that Shinedown was inching closer to with Amaryllis: Instead of writing about personal experiences through a 100% first-person perspective with personal pronouns like “I,” some of it is rebranded as “you,” addressing the audience as if there is a nugget of advice to be mined and the experience is shared, or even a hypothetical. When describing the songs in interviews, the word “you” was used quite often. Whether or not this style of writing is better is anyone’s judgment.
Second, there are a variety of producers on this record—an experiment that I am thankful for but am glad is no longer in practice for the band, truth be told—and Dave Bassett, longtime co-writer of Brent’s who still works with the band to this day, serves up the best production on the whole album. Dave was able to pull out other tracks like “Thick as Thieves,” “Misfits,” and “Outcast,” just to name a few, so he automatically gets my blessing.
youtube
Speaking of “Outcast,” it is my turn to be the outcast because the album does not hit its stride until the fourth track comes along. The preceding tracks were the two singles that defined the era on radio stations and concert setlists, “Cut the Cord” and “State of My Head,” and I have never fully identified with either. I find nothing inherently wrong with these tracks, but there is a hint of Shinedown trying to do something quintessentially Shinedown in 2015 after Active Rock was still reeling from its swift rejection from mainstream pop radio and the streaming era’s complete lack of attention to it. Eric Bass got to try out his production hand for the second time on a major single with “Cord,” which is why this song was chosen as a lead single; yes, it would do well on radio and thematically set the tone, but it would allow for feedback and focus on Bass production. Pete Nappi tried his hand on “State of My Head,” the only song he appears to have produced for Shinedown. “Outcast” gives us a truly unique riff that could blow a car stereo out, a different sound structure than anyone was doing—and is still doing—on the radio, and allowed for Shinedown to flex their muscles vocally, as a low, rumbly cadence switches dramatically between the verses and the pre-chorus to a soaring belt from Smith, who never disappoints. The projection of this song is to announce the comeback of the band that breaks Mainstream Rock records at least three times a year and has enough potential to lead us into the record cycle with as much attitude and feet-to-the-fire lyricism as could offer.
If you want to talk about feet-to-the-fire lyricism, let us visit “How Did You Love,” the final single from the album. Scott Stevens gets to help set up himself on this track as the producer powerhouse he has developed into today. This is in no small part to this track, and he now gets to court artists such as Halestorm, Daughtry, Dorothy, and Scott Stapp. The record has his signature build and structure that I have become all too familiar with in the last year, but it was developed and tested in its adolescence on this track, as well as “Dangerous,” and who could say anything negative about either one of these songs? They are perfect, I have no complaints about either one. I think “Love” in particular set the tone for some increased contemplation on the future, life, and death which is certainly not unheard of in rock music but was lyrically lackluster at the time.
Skipping ahead to “Dangerous,” this song is referenced as a moment where Smith’s ex-girlfriend told him he would be much more “dangerous” if he were to put down the bottle and put his best foot forward in his personal life, let alone the music. He describes this moment as an awakening, and I can hear it in his voice. The passion in his voice comes from a man who truly experienced the awakening he desperately searched for decades and finally found, but not just found, earned. The vocal performance and personal connection are truly what makes the song great. While the instrumentals are wonderful, the selling point is the punch, the empowerment, and the catharsis that Smith brings to the table.
“Thick as Thieves” and “Misfits” are two pieces of the same puzzle and are the two most riveting songs this record has to offer. Reflecting on personal relationships in Smith’s life, namely his first love from back in the day on the latter track, there is a level of orchestration that has only been challenged by “BRILLIANT” and earlier single “The Crow and the Butterfly” to bring a grown man to his knees…That would be me. The longing in the vocals and lyricism on both tracks illustrates that for as glorious as reminiscing on the glory days with glorious people is, those people are gone, and so are the times when those memories are made. With the hope that you feel on “Misfits” and “Thieves,” it is painstakingly obvious in the delivery that those people are never coming back.
With a semi-comprehensive understanding of the standout tracks, the album can be viewed with consideration of quality and cohesion. The quality of the record is there, no question at all. The first two singles blend into the background, in my opinion (Clearly nobody elses, as they both went #1), but are in no way a hindrance, and the only real dud is “Oblivion” with some promising instrumentation and vocal melodies, but drones on way too long and causes a bit of a slog in the middle of the record. I am crying, screaming, dancing, and smiling throughout the whole record, and the songs are properly dispersed where the emotional balance is even throughout. Cohesion is where I must praise the album again: I can trace an emotion that would elicit a fight or flight response on every song, and I do not even have to listen to an interview to figure it out.
youtube
What is most valuable to me about this record is not this record; if there had not been a slew of new producers all on the same record, a single produced by Eric Bass, and an assigned theme to write to and structure the tracklist after, we would not have the boldest and best artistic statement the band has ever made, ATTENTION ATTENTION. While I do not at all want to undermine the work done on this record and the great material, it is a transitional moment in their career. Had Shinedown followed up this album with a selection of songs following a similarish thematic structure and the same or similar selection of producers, the creative output would have dwindled very quickly. This could be said for any record that repeats production teams, but Rob Cavallo was shared across two records. While this record was a beautiful listen and never fails to grab my attention, I remember it as a last hurrah; a goodbye to songs produced by high-class, hired help and engineered for an 11-12 track run of smash radio hits, to then usher in a wave of self-produced, painstakingly personal, and foaming at the mouth with passion concept records that took Shinedown from Active Rock darlings to a truly one of a kind band that can execute a vision with precision and excellence on all cylinders. What better legacy could an album like Threat to Survival ask for?

🫂 OOC ASKS | Not Accepting
ONE. Which muse is the easiest to write?
Didi. No contest. It's not so much because she's my oldest muse (Jasper came right after her and to this day I find some difficulty writing him!) but because in some weird way, Didi and I have a lot of overlap in initial approach to things. I, am normal though, and would not actually act on many of the initial reactions I would have because I have self control. Didi, on the other hand, has zero self control. Didi is very much my lizard brain so it's just a matter of following what my first thought is and just...max out the dial.
TWO. Which muse is most likely to go to jail?
Many of my muses deserve to be caught for their crimes, however, only a few of them have actually ever been to jail and may go again because of their nature. Firstly is Dude, who is specifically a convenience store robber and repeat offender. He's even gone back to steal from previous places he's hit and is relatively well known throughout his area. He gets picked up a lot. Buck is also one who will most likely end up back in jail as he refuses to stop conning and while he's a relatively good conman, anything can happen on a job. Sometimes he's recognized from past cons, his fake identity is put into question, or someone is just a little too savvy to fall for a con. Viola is currently incarcerated, but in a state-run psychiatric hospital. Were she ever to be released into the public, even after rehabilitation, she would most likely end up right back; Viola's PTSD and very naive view on society and human connection has actually made it very unlikely for her to be able to integrate safely with the public. She'd be set off too easily. Anton is also going to jail in his canon. He's very aware of the fact that he cannot continue killing undetected forever— that being said, it's also in his canon to escape. So there's that. All other muses with highly illegal tendencies are either too smart to get caught (Deacon, Missy, Esme, The Columbary, and 85), their crimes are completely unknown/unlinked to law enforcement (Yasmin, Sister Sable, Philo, Mikail, The Peck siblings, Roy De Winter, and The Delvecchio Twins), are too rich and/or influential to make a move on (Lawrence), or would never allow themselves to be captured without doing something drastic (Truman, Lyssa, Angus, and Corbin).
FOURTEEN. What sort of YouTube channel would your muses have?
Out of all my muses that would actually take the time to make and create content for a YouTube channel, here are the stats: Whip - Book reviews to market his true crime book store. He's long-winded, not especially flashy, but his regular customers are big fans. Vicente - A lot of celebrity stuff. He's a well know model and new time music producer, so there's a breadth of genres touched upon, such as behind the scenes shorts at the recording studio, promotional clips of concerts of artists he's helped produce, sneak peaks of modeling shoots he's working on, a lot of Q&A's, work out videos, etc. He has tons of followers. Sister Sable - She's now a famous musician so obviously there are her songs, music videos, promotional videos for merchandise, a few videos of her announcing upcoming shows and projects, etc. Also has tons of followers, many strange and obsessive. Philo - Literally him talking about anything and everything, tends to lean towards reviews for tools, rants about movies, similar to his video diary but obviously not focused on him. They're almost always shot from his phone. Yes, he's still in the mask. He has about ten followers that he cherishes. Michi - Short paint process videos, her talking about upcoming shows and projects, astral projection how-to's, random, homemade music videos, choreography for her interpretive dance numbers, a few actually professional interviews she's done for local publications. Has a good amount of followers but as she'll tell you, the numbers don't matter to her. Harrison - He doesn't have a lot of videos nor a lot of followers but his students convinced him to do it. It's mainly cooking and baking videos, seeing as he makes them mostly because his students asked him to prove that he was really the one making all the treats he brought in. Hank - Gaming videos. Lots of them. He's got a great setup and a pretty good personality for it, he can be charismatic behind the screen. Tries not to curse because his mom watches the videos sometimes.
TWENTY. Which muse would investigate the scary noises? which one would hide?
Investigators: Zeynep, Willoughby, Whip, Wendi, Walter, Thoth, Rusty, Philo, Norm, Malachi, Lochlan, Kidd, Beau, Roy, Deacon, Grus, Apus, Calisto, Anton, and Jasper. Hiders: Viola, Truman, The Spot, Sister Sable, Father Simon, Michi, Lyssa, Levi, Jessamine, Gideon, Evgeni, Dude, Donny, Cam, Buck, and 85. Those who are vacating the vicinity immediately: Yasmin, Vicente, Shuff, Setau, Opaline, Mikail, Knox, Irena, Hank, Freida, Pris, Corbin, Cygnus, Aquila, Cesaré, Barnaby, and Lázaro. Those telling the noise to fuck off: Waylon, Sloan, Reaper, Penjani, Nadia, Missy, Mara, Leslie, Lawrence, Harrison, Esme, Rico, Renata, Pavo, Corvus, Chet, Beatrix, and Didi. The cause of the scary noise: Victor, Ozzie, Iona, Gyles, Ayumu, and Angus. The one guy who did not hear the scary noise and also the only one who can defeat it: Hugo :3

CINCINNATI CITY BEAT
Sound Advice: Louis Tomlinson Brings 'Faith in the Future' World Tour to Cincinnati
If you’ve seen the wild fan videos of concerts from his former bandmates, take note: Don’t expect anything too flashy from Tomlinson.
By Deirdre Kaye on Wed, May 17, 2023 at 5:05 am
Former/lifelong One Directioner Louis Tomlinson is touring in support of his sophomore solo album and will be stopping in Cincinnati in June. It’s not everyday that you see a wildly popular boy band separate so that each member can go on and have their own successful solo careers, yet the boys of One Direction have proven it can be done. Thanks in no small part to their legion of adoring fans, that’s exactly what Tomlinson and his former bandmates have done.
While Tomlinson was often voted “the funny one” by fans during his days in the band, he’s not without depth. That’s never been more apparent than in his newest album, Faith in The Future, and documentary, All of Those Voices. While the other lads have leaned on their roots in pop, Tomlinson’s sophomore album sounds decidedly more alternative. The album’s starting track, “The Greatest”, is anthemic and emotional, relying on a chanting chorus and beat that trips over itself. Meanwhile, “Out Of My System” plows through you, building intensity across its short run in that familiar early 2000s way. The new documentary, which opened in March to solid reviews and heartfelt messages from his bandmates, takes a peak [sic] at what drove Tomlinson this far and inspired the heart in each of his albums.
If you’ve seen the wild fan videos of concerts from his former bandmates, take note: Don’t expect anything too flashy from Tomlinson. While just as engaging, professionally delivered and memorable, Tomlinson’s shows tend to be stripped back. They lean entirely on his music and cheeky personality and inspire a bit wilder response in the crowd. Also notable: In Tomlinson’s world, middle fingers sometimes tend to mean, “I love you.”
Louis Tomlinson plays the ICON Festival Stage at Smale Park at 7 p.m. June 3. Info: LiveNation.com

Never Fall for the Guitarist pt. 1
A/N: Hey everyone! I'm not new to Tumblr but I am new to the Ghost fandom and am an avid writer. I thought I would share some of my works with you all. Once I get the hang of this, I will take requests. For now, enjoy!
Summary: (Y/N) has been chosen for their dream job. Will they put their job on the line for the love of their life?
Warnings: Sexual language. Minors DNI!! Angsty Swiss. Fluffy Dewdrop.
I had always longed to be a photographer for Ghost. I lived just outside of the Abbey and had been to so many concerts I lost count but each time, all I wanted to do was snap breathtaking photos of them. What I didn’t realize is that my dream would soon come true. I was fresh out of college. I had a degree in digital media with a minor in photography. It was my hobby. I took photos of everything and anything. I started applying to jobs and was feeling giddy enough to apply to be a photographer for Ghost. I cautiously filled out the application, being sure to be as detailed in my skills as possible. Submit. It was done. I submitted the application and sat back with my hot cup of tea to take in the possible life changing step I just took.
Three days passed. I had started to think that I would never hear back from any of the places I applied. That isn’t unusual in this day and age as employers are lackadaisical when it comes to reviewing applications. Ping. I grabbed my phone and saw an email notification. Before I could even read it, I threw my phone back on the couch. I was nervous. What if they don’t want me. What if they don’t think my photography is good enough. The thoughts were racing through my mind until I finally picked up my phone again and opened the email.
“Dear (Y/N), we were thoroughly impressed by your exquisite photography portfolio and previous work experience that you have shown. We would like to extend an invitation to you for an interview on Wednesday, June 25. Please let us know if this time does not work for you and we can reschedule.
Best regards, Ghost Management”
Holy shit! They want to meet with me. They want to interview me. What the hell am I doing on June 25 because those plans are canceled. I quickly hit the reply button and told their management that June 25 was a perfect date for an interview. Now I have to find the perfect professional outfit, so they don’t think I’m a slob before I even get the job.
The week passed painfully slowly. I set my alarm for 7 a.m. to ensure I had time to get a shower, and make sure I was as presentable as I could be. After all, this is a dream opportunity, and I would hate to jeopardize it. After all was said and done, I picked up my phone and checked the time. 9 a.m. Perfect timing. I calmly walked out of my house and got into my car. Typically, I blast music even if I am just driving two minutes up the road to the gas station for a late night slushie run. Not today. Today I drove in complete silence as thoughts raced through my brain.
I pulled into the parking lot of the grey stone building and checked in the mirrors to make sure I still looked good, which I did, then I ever so calmly exited my car. I made my way into the building and asked the very kind sister where I needed to go for my interview. She so graciously led me down a hallway and into a room at the end. I was greeted by a tall, slim woman who was the epitome of beauty standards.
“Hi there! You must be (Y/N). My name is Sister Imperator, and I am the head of Ghost’s management,” she said enthusiastically.
“Hi! It is so nice to meet you,” I replied, trying to hide my nervousness.
She motioned for me to take a seat and asked me all of the questions that one would expect in an interview. Why do you think you're right for this position? Do you have experience photographing moving objects? Etc. I gave her my best answers to those questions, and she abruptly stood up.
“Welcome to the team, (Y/N),” she said with a large smile plastered across her face. “Before we see what kind of talent you have, let’s introduce you to the band,” she continued.
Holy shit. It’s happening. I am meeting my favorite band of all time and cannot fangirl because I have to appear professional. My thoughts were quickly interrupted when in walked 8 figures who towered over me. I knew who all of them were, but they were going to introduce themselves anyway because they didn't know that.
They stood in a line and from left to right introduced themselves. Copia was first, followed by Dewdrop, Swiss, Mountain, Rain, Aether, Cirrus, and Cumulus. Seven of the members left the room to get back to practice but Dewdrop stuck around. He was the shortest and, in my opinion, the most handsome of the four. There he was standing at his height of 5'8" with his mask only showing his gorgeous blue eyes. He was slender with a little muscle tone to his arms and thighs from performing so much. Oh, how I could’ve melted into a puddle at that very given moment.
He stepped closer to me and gently placed his hand on my waist to guide me out of the room and show me to the practice room. His hand was warm. I could feel his body heat radiating into my skin. I had a fuzzy feeling in the pit of my stomach. Little did he know that I dream about him from time to time. The only problem was that now I could never be with him so long as I held my job title. Rule number four in the contract was that employees were to have no relations with band members, or they would be immediately terminated. Was I willing to break that rule and pray I don’t get caught? Hell yes, I was but I seriously doubt Dew would go for it.
I snapped out of my sexual thoughts as Dewdrop welcomed me into the practice room. It was larger and darker than what I had expected but if I’m being honest, I wasn’t even sure what I was expecting. Their instruments were all in their designated spaces. Everything was neat and tidy. The only light that was provided was the sun that shined in through the cracks in the blinds.
As I stood there in awe, once again my thoughts were interrupted by a deep voice. It was Dew again. He seemed to be the most sociable.
“Well are you going to just stand there or are you going to show us what you got?” he said with a smug look on his face, followed by a wink.
If I hadn’t eaten that morning, I may have passed out from the lack of oxygen from holding my breath after the wink.
I simply nodded toward him and picked up my camera. They got busy right away playing a few songs that I already knew. I snapped so many photos I thought I was going to break the camera. That’s how I capture the best photos. Take hundreds and choose ten. As I was so entranced by doing my job, I almost missed the fact that they were playing a new song. I continued capturing digital moments when a fight broke out between Dew and Swiss.
“I don’t fucking understand why you can’t keep up with your stupid guitar,” Swiss spat at Dew. He was significantly taller than Dew, standing at 6'2" and he must have kept all his temper in his frame.
“Well maybe if you and Papa weren't singing ahead of the instruments, you would realize how it’s supposed to sound but no, we have to do everything on your time." Dew snapped back.
I couldn’t help but interrupt and set my camera down.
“Ghouls, I don’t mean to step out of line, but I cannot do my job if you all are fighting because I don’t think fans want to see you all spitting comebacks at each other,” I calmly said.
“Mind your own business, new meat,” Swiss practically growled at me.
Dew obviously did not like this as he lunged at him.
“Don’t you dare talk to them like that. They are doing us a service and we should treat them with the utmost respect.” Dew sternly told Swiss.
“Oh, give me a break Dew. You’re just thinking with your dick once again because that’s all you ever do. That’s why we can’t keep any employees because you can’t help but stick your stupid penis in them and they aren’t smart enough to keep it a secret. I’m sure this one will be just as dumb as the rest of them,” Swiss spouted off as he raised his arm in my general direction, ending the argument but Dew was more concerned about the fact that I swiftly left the room.
I didn’t want to run as I didn’t want to draw more attention to myself than I already had. I found my way into the restroom and locked myself in. I backed up against the wall and slid down with my hand on my chest trying to catch my breath. What they never tell you is how different your favorite band is to what you actually imagine. A minute or two passed when there was a gentle knock on the door. I thought I was hearing things, so I ignored it and continued to even my breathing. Knock knock. There it was again.
“(Y/N)? It’s Dew. Are you okay?” he asked in a gentle, worried tone.
I let out a sniff and replied with a quiet “no.”
“Well, can you let me in so we can talk it out?” he asked politely.
I pulled myself up off the comforting cold ground and unlocked the door. Dew gently opened it, making sure not to be too harsh with his movements. I threw on a fake smile to try and mask my true emotions.
“You can pretend to smile all you want but I can tell how Swiss’ words impacted you,” Dew said as he took a small step toward me.
“Can I be honest with you, Dew?” I said after a deep breath.
He nodded.
“I love you all as a band. I am a big fan and have been to so many of your shows that I have lost count at this point. I thought it would be a dream come true to work for you but after that little episode, other than you, the band members were nothing that I had thought,” I said shakily while meeting Dew’s eyes.
He gave me a warm smile and said, “That’s because our photographers do their job well. We fight everyday but our photographers know to keep the ugly stuff out of the media. Just like you said, our fans don’t want to see us fighting. As far as what Swiss said about us, I don’t plan on using you like that. You’re different, (Y/N). You have a deeper intelligent personality than most of the ditsy people that come in here and work for us. I have personally seen your work and I am in awe of your talents. I want to know you for who you are, and I know we aren’t allowed to have relationships with our employees, but I won’t tell if you won’t.”
How the hell do I say no to that? All I did was smile, nod my head, and say, “I have secrets nobody knows about, I’m sure I could keep this under the table.”
Dew nodded and pulled me into a tight hug, my face squishing against his chest. I couldn’t help but notice his smell. Slightly sweaty with a more noticeable sandalwood scent.
“Here’s my phone number,” he said as he handed me a card. “Text me when you get home, and I will come over. We can discuss how we will go about this relationship.” he continued.
I nodded and put the card into my pocket before going back to the practice room, waving goodbye to the other members, grabbing my bag, and starting my venture home.

So re the poor concert reviews: I’ve attended both Louis’ tours, with the shows being around 2 years apart. The decline in quality since the walls show is unreal. Even my friend who’s much more positive on Louis’ new laddy lad stuff saw and felt it. These guys have been travelling the world and partying like animals for years and it’s showing. It’s unprofessional and it makes me angry. I know you’re a millionaire, but your fans aren’t, and we actually pay for a good product. Drinking, smoking and acting like emotionally stunted college students backstage then coming out like you don’t even really care smh. I love l Louis but I am a little upset at the environment he fosters and I think I’m allowed be!
Hi, anon!
Of course you're allowed to be upset! Your feelings are shared with a growing number of people. The social contract between a fan and an artist is that the artist gives you music and a good concert experience and the fan gives you time, money and support in return. He isn't holding up his end of the bargain for some fans. It isn't entitlement on the fans part to expect the artist to know the lyric to their songs by heart, it's bare minimum expectations everyone should have.
There is a backstage environment he helps foster/or partakes in that isn't professional, respectful, encouraging and uplifting. According to Joni it sounds like people lie, cheat on their partners, drinks and does drugs. It's become prevelant and you'll look like an outsider if you don’t parttake and conform to the pressure. Louis lives a fast paced lifestyle and it's not possible to give a good performance if he doesn’t get enough sleep and time to recooperate after a binge night. The environment backstage influence the environment on stage. And to some fans, what he delivers on stage makes it seem like he doesn’t care to give a good performance. This isn't how it should be.

Review-ish: Aaron Tveit - ’The Radio In My Head: Live At 54 Below’
I don’t know why I’m doing this, but I just have some opinions on this album.
I really like how Aaron possesses a very diverse musical catalogue at his concerts. Everything from boybands to classical music to folk to, of course, musical theatre. I love when artists keep it diverse. Some genres he excels in better than others, but keep singing everything, Tveit! His banter in between is hilarious too, and I like that he’s not trying too hard with it. He’s being genuine and I love that he’s awkward. It just shows the fact that he, weirdly, like the rest of us, is human. And I appreciate that more than an almost robotic type talk in between songs. It’s his first cabaret show. And he also kept some flubs in. Not the lyrics one in ICBILWSLY, but the person clapping at the wrong time in What You’d Call A Dream for example. That’s what makes it live.
I love Aaron’s voice. He just has such a warm, almost delicate tone to his voice with such perfect diction. I could go on and on raving about that guy’s vocal chords. That being said. This sound editing is shit. Mixing or whatever it’s called. The sound. Mic quality thingy. I am so professional as you can hear. But it just destroys his voice. It sounds metallic and overproduced. If it weren’t for that I would listen to this album all the time, but that just makes it almost unlistenable for me.
Really liked his song choices on this and I wish he’d bring them back. Like ’Hero and Leander’, especially the medley between that and There’s A World. And ’What You’d Call A Dream’. That’s more for a younger singer though. As he said, he performed it at his freshman showoff.
From me, an unprofessional who just wanted to express her thoughts on this album, The Radio In My Head gets a 8/10.
MAKE ANOTHER ONE NOW, AARON. IT’S BEEN TEN YEARS.

Healing Notes (Harry Styles A.U.)
Chapter 2: Unexpected Attraction
Ellie's POV
"Dr. Porter, please go and treat the next patient in bed seven," Dr. Jameson, the attending physician, instructed me.
In his 60s, with graying hair and a receding hairline, he still maintained a fit appearance that commanded respect.I nodded and made my way through the emergency department. At 2 AM, the hospital was surprisingly quiet, with only a few patients scattered throughout the area. The walls were adorned with red diamond tiles that sparkled under the fluorescent lights, giving the place a sense of warmth and familiarity. As I walked towards the patient's bed, I couldn't help but think about how much I wanted to stay at this hospital after my residency ended. The thought of returning to the Midwest, where I had grown up, felt less appealing with each passing day. This city, with its vibrant energy and endless opportunities, had begun to feel like home.
I grabbed the patient chart from the holder in front of the curtain and quickly skimmed through it. The information on the chart read:
Name: Harry Styles
Age: 28
Medical History: Generally healthy, previous ER visits for minor injuries
Paramedic Findings: Lacerations to head and left arm, unconscious on scene but regained consciousness quickly, left arm crushed and possibly broken.
Vitals: Temperature: 98.6°F (normal), Blood Pressure: 145/90 (elevated), Pulse: 110 bpm (elevated)
As I reviewed Mr. Styles's chart, I mentally prepared myself for what I might encounter upon entering the room. The lacerations to his head and arm would likely require sutures, and I'd need to make sure there were no foreign bodies embedded in the wounds. Additionally, I'd want to order X-rays to confirm the suspected fracture in his left arm and determine the severity of the break.
The fact that he had been unconscious on the scene concerned me, so I made a note to carefully assess his neurological status and check for any signs of a concussion. His elevated blood pressure and pulse could be attributed to the pain he must be experiencing, but I'd need to monitor them closely during his assessment. But, also planned to inquire about any lingering pain or discomfort he might be experiencing, as it would be important to manage his pain effectively during his stay in the ER. With a clear plan in mind, I took a deep breath and prepared to step into Mr.Styles's curtained-off area.
As I pulled aside the plastic red curtain, I was momentarily caught off guard by the sight of Mr. Styles– Harry lying on the hospital bed. My eyes were drawn to his curly brown hair, which still lay perfectly in place despite his recent ordeal. His sparkling blue eyes, filled with a mix of amusement and pain, seemed to twinkle as they met mine. I couldn't help but notice the charming smile that played across his face, his freckles a perfect match for my own.
My gaze wandered down to the tattoos that adorned his toned body, each one telling a story I couldn't help but be curious about. It was only when I saw his ripped white shirt, blood splatters staining the fabric, that I snapped back into doctor mode.
"Hi, I'm Dr. Ellie Porter," I said, my voice slightly shaky at first, but quickly regaining confidence. "Can you tell me what happened?"
Harry grinned cheekily and said, "Well, Dr.Porter, I had this absolutely brilliant concert at Madison Square Garden. The crowd was amazing, and we were all just lost in the moment, you know? But then, on my way to meet a friend, I got into this nasty car accident. Life's funny like that sometimes, isn't it?"
His charm was undeniable, and I found myself feeling butterflies in my stomach as I listened to his story. The British accent that laced his words only added to his appeal, making him even more endearing in my eyes.I quickly adjusted my glasses and tried to focus on maintaining my professional demeanor, despite the magnetic pull I felt towards him. Taking a deep breath to center myself, I focused on Harry's injuries.
"Alright, let's take a look at these wounds and see what we need to do," I said, forcing myself to concentrate on the task at hand.
I carefully examined the lacerations on his head and left arm, noting the extent of the damage.
"You've got some pretty deep cuts here, Harry. We'll need to clean them thoroughly and close them with sutures to prevent infection."
As I gathered the necessary supplies, such as sterilized water and gauze from the supply cart, I couldn't help but steal glances at Harry, who seemed to be watching me with an amused expression.
"So, Dr. Ellie Porter," he said, a teasing tone in his voice, "is it always this exciting working in the emergency room?"
I chuckled, the sound more nervous than I would have liked. "Well, it definitely has its moments. But I have to admit, treating a world-famous musician isn't an everyday occurrence for me."
Harry's eyes sparkled with mischief as he responded, "Ah, so you're a fan then?"
I felt my cheeks heat up, betraying my embarrassment. "I, um, well, not exactly. I'm aware of your music, but it's my friend Sam from medical school who's absolutely crazy for you." I paused, then added, "But don't worry, no one will know you were here because of patient privacy. I'll still do my best to treat you just like any other patient."
He laughed warmly, the sound somehow soothing my nerves. "That's perfectly alright, It's actually nice to be treated like a normal person every now and then."
As I began to clean his wounds using a pair of forceps and sterile gauze, I couldn't help but admire the way his biceps flexed beneath his tattoos, a testament to his athleticism. His grin, as cheeky as ever, seemed to light up the sterile hospital room.
I finished suturing the lacerations on his head and arm, and my attention shifted to his left arm, which was clearly in bad shape. "Now, about your left arm... It looks like it's been crushed and might be broken. Can you tell me how it feels and whether you remember anything from when you lost consciousness?" I asked, trying to get a better understanding of his condition.
Harry winced slightly as he considered my question. "It's throbbing and feels like it's on fire, to be honest. I lost consciousness briefly because of the pain and shock, but I woke up quickly on the scene."
Nodding, I made a mental note of his symptoms and considered the best course of action.
"Okay, here's what I think we should do. First, we'll need to get an X-ray of your arm to determine the extent of the damage. Since you were knocked unconscious, I'd also like to get a head CT just to make sure there's nothing funky going on with your head. Depending on the results, we may need to consult with an orthopedic specialist to determine the best treatment plan. In the meantime, I can give you something to help manage the pain."
Harry agreed, the pain evident in his eyes. "That sounds like a good plan, Ellie. Thank you."
A flutter ran through me when he called me by my first name. Most patients didn't address me so casually, but the way he said it, with his charming British accent, made it endearing.
Flashing a flirtatious grin, Harry asked, "You wouldn't happen to be the orthopedic specialist, would you?"
I shook my head jokingly, a smile playing on my lips. "Unfortunately, no, I'm not. But I promise I'll refer you to the best of the best."
As I stepped away to prepare the pain medication, I couldn't help but feel a mixture of excitement and trepidation about the connection I had started to form with this charming and intriguing patient. But for now, I have a job to do.
Chapter 2 - Part B: Harry's Perspective
As Dr. Ellie Porter stepped away to consult the pharmacy and order my X-ray, I found myself alone in the curtained room, lost in thought. It wasn't every day that I found myself taken by someone so quickly, but there was something about Ellie that was undeniably captivating.
Her dark brown, pin-straight hair framed her delicate features, and her deep brown eyes sparkled with intelligence and warmth. Her pale skin and freckles, particularly on her nose, cheeks, and shoulders, gave her a unique and striking appearance. Her professionalism was clear from the moment she started treating me, but it was the way she adjusted her glasses and struggled to remain composed that truly had me smitten. I couldn't help but think that I had stumbled upon something special, even under such unfortunate circumstances.
As I lay there, the pain in my arm throbbing, I wondered what it would be like to get to know Ellie better, outside the confines of this sterile hospital room. Would she be just as giggly and endearing in a more casual setting? Would she be open to the idea of spending time with a famous musician like me? I knew that fame could be a double-edged sword, attracting some while alienating others. One thing that struck me was that I had never dated someone who wasn't famous. Perhaps that was what I needed – a normal person who also had a dedicated career. Many of my past relationships had fallen apart due to cheating, as my partners couldn't wait around for me all the time. But Ellie was different; she was clearly committed to her career in medicine, and I found that incredibly appealing.
The red curtain rustled as Ellie returned, her white coat swishing as she moved. She was focused, her eyes scanning a piece of paper in her hand. Seeing her in action, so dedicated to her work, only solidified my admiration for her.
My thoughts were momentarily interrupted as she informed me about the next steps in my treatment. But even as I listened, my mind couldn't help but drift back to the possibility of something more, a connection that could blossom into something beyond just doctor and patient .Curiosity got the better of me, and I pulled out my phone to search for more information about her. I wanted to know everything – her background, her interests, and what had driven her to become a doctor.
I stumbled upon an article that highlighted her achievements in medical school and her passion for patient advocacy. As I read about her dedication to her work and her determination to make a positive impact on healthcare, my admiration for her only grew stronger. It was clear that Ellie was not only a skilled doctor but also a compassionate and caring individual.
The more I learned about her, the more intrigued I became. I couldn't remember the last time I'd felt such a genuine connection with someone – let alone a non-celebrity. It was a refreshing change, and I couldn't help but wonder if fate had brought us together. As I set my phone down, my thoughts kept returning to Ellie. Only time would tell if we were destined for something more.

Welcome to My World – Hip Hop, Hustle, and the Art of Content Creation
Welcome to the start of something I’ve been wanting to share—a space where hip hop, hustle, and content creation come together in ways that inspire and connect. My name’s Seneca "Skue" Williams, and for years, I’ve been on a journey through the underground hip hop scene as an emcee, DJ, video editor, and stagehand. Now, I’m taking that passion for creativity and turning it into a blog to give you a real look into my world.
This blog is more than just updates; it’s a place to share insights into the culture, behind-the-scenes stories from my work with DJ Bizerkk and Street Ammo, and reflections on everything from the creative process to the hustle it takes to make it. Here, you’ll find music reviews, tips for DJs and content creators, and exclusive updates on new remixes and projects. I’m also diving into themes close to my heart—hip hop’s roots, graffiti and street art, and the challenges and wins that come with navigating this industry.
Whether you’re here for hip hop culture, creative inspiration, or just some real talk about the grind, there’s something for you here. So, follow along, join the conversation, and let’s build a community rooted in our shared love for hip hop and the art of storytelling. Welcome to A Skue View!
“Welcome to my blog! My name is Skue, and if you're here, you're likely a fan of hip hop, creativity, or that relentless hustle that keeps us pushing forward. I’m excited to kick off this blog to share my journey, insights, and, hopefully, a bit of inspiration.”
Who I Am:
I’m Seneca "Skue" Williams, a Denver-based hip hop artist, DJ, content creator, and stagehand. My journey in hip hop began with a passion for emceeing and DJing, which later evolved into video editing, blending remixes, and producing content that taps into urban culture, hip hop, and storytelling. I’ve been fortunate to work alongside DJ Bizerkk at Blended Audio, where I help bring powerful remixes to life with visuals that resonate with our audience.
As a content creator, I run Street Ammo Productions, and A Skue View, a podcast and video channel that dives into underground hip hop, urban culture, and parallel perspectives on everything from hip hop history to current events. I’ve created video blends for DJ Bizerkks remixes that have been featured on platforms like Shade 45 & Rock The Bells Radio and have collaborated with local talent as well as industry heavy hitters to push the creative boundaries of hip hop.
On top of my creative work, I’m a stagehand in the events industry, , setup, and logistics for concerts and events in Denver. This hands-on experience keeps me connected to the pulse of live music, giving me inspiration and energy for my content and collaborations. Through my brand, Street Ammo, I offer merchandise like hats, hoodies, and t-shirts that reflect the hustle and creativity that drives me every day.
Turning my love for hip hop into a professional career as a social media influencer is my newest chapter. At 43, I’m here to show that it’s never too late to break into the content world and share my journey with authenticity and grit.
My podcast, A Skue View, is a project close to my heart—a platform dedicated to exploring stories from the underground world of hip hop, urban culture, and more. With A Skue View, I’m aiming to bring listeners a fresh, parallel perspective on topics that are often overlooked or misunderstood. From the roots of hip hop and personal stories from artists in the scene to urban legends and conspiracies, my goal is to dig deep, ask the right questions, and share voices from the streets of Colorado and beyond.
Each episode offers a mix of hip hop news, reviews, and exclusive insights. We break down the latest music trends, shine a spotlight on new talent, and keep it real with discussions about everything from graffiti and street art to DJing, turntablism, and rap battles. I want the podcast to be a home for hip hop fans, as well as anyone who’s intrigued by the stories and challenges within urban culture. A Skue View is a place where we can unpack social issues, explore the mysteries and conspiracies around us, and dive into what makes underground culture thrive.
My goals for the podcast are simple but ambitious: to inspire, to challenge, and to inform. I want A Skue View to be more than just a show—I want it to be a community where listeners can tune in for perspective, vibe with authentic stories, and find content that goes beyond the surface. Whether you’re here for the hip hop, the conspiracy theories, or just the raw truth, there’s a seat for you at A Skue View.
I’m kicking off a new journey as a social media influencer, and I couldn’t be more excited—or honestly, more challenged. Starting this at 43, I’m stepping into a space that’s constantly evolving, where trends move fast, and every platform demands something unique. But that’s exactly what makes it exciting for me—the chance to connect with people in real-time, to share my journey and my perspective, and to hopefully inspire others who may think it’s “too late” to go after what they want.
There’s definitely a learning curve, from understanding what resonates with different audiences to finding my voice in this digital world. But I’m here for it, embracing every part of this path, from creating engaging, authentic content to building a community around my experiences in hip hop, urban culture, and beyond. It’s about sharing my hustle, my wins, my missteps, and everything in between.
Why This Blog?
I’m starting a blog as an extension of everything I’m passionate about—hip hop, content creation, and sharing my journey with others. It’s a space where I can go deeper, offering insights and behind-the-scenes looks at what goes into my work, from creating mixes and video edits to producing episodes of A Skue View.
With the blog, I want to inspire others who are navigating the hip hop scene, whether they’re artists, DJs, content creators, or just fans of the culture. Readers can expect posts that break down the creative process, show the challenges and rewards of working in this industry, and share real stories from the underground. It’s all about pulling back the curtain and giving people a look at how these projects come together, the inspiration behind them, and what I learn along the way.
For anyone passionate about hip hop, storytelling, or the hustle of making it on your own terms, this blog will have something for you. Whether it’s tips on mixing and editing, insights from the culture, or even just stories from my own experiences, I’m here to build a community around the art, the grind, and the love for hip hop.
Along with the behind-the-scenes looks at my mixes, video edits, and podcast episodes, my blog will dive into a variety of other content and themes that reflect my experiences in the hip hop world. I’ll be sharing insights into hip hop culture—from the origins of street art to the evolution of turntablism and breakdancing. I’ll also cover the latest trends and what’s happening in the scene today, offering a fresh perspective on where the culture is headed.
DJ techniques will be a big part of the blog too. I’ll break down the art of mixing, scratching, and blending, sharing tips and tricks that I’ve picked up over the years. It’s about helping others grow their craft while staying true to the roots of hip hop.
There will also be life lessons and stories I’ve picked up along the way. From navigating the struggles of the industry to learning how to stay persistent and true to myself, these lessons will speak to anyone working in music, creative industries, or simply chasing their dreams. My blog will be a space to reflect on both the wins and the setbacks, with a focus on the grind and the journey. Ultimately, it’s about sharing what I’ve learned, what’s shaped me, and hopefully giving others a blueprint for their own success.
What to Expect:
Music Reviews: Breaking down the latest hip hop tracks, albums, and remixes, sharing my perspective on what’s hot and what’s making waves in the scene.
Video Editing Tips: Insights into my editing process, from tools and techniques to storytelling through visuals—perfect for creators looking to level up their video work.

Industry Lessons and Advice: Real talk about the challenges, lessons, and strategies I’ve learned navigating hip hop, content creation, and the music industry.
I’ll also be sharing regular updates on new remixes, releases, and some of my creative projects with DJ Bizerkk and our Street Ammo brand. This means you’ll get the first look at upcoming blends, exclusive track releases, and behind-the-scenes moments from our work together. Whether we’re putting a fresh spin on classic tracks or dropping new visuals, the blog will keep you updated on everything we’re creating at Blended Audio.
For fans of our work, it’s a place to stay in the loop on what’s coming next and get an inside perspective on the process, the inspiration, and the journey behind each project.

I just wanted to come on here to say thank you for being so paitent with me . Besides stream party results and stream parties rest of my posts will be the rest of the concert pictures From Friday until finished . All of nerv's have been posted 🤗 There's 3 more to be uploaded.. Archers,Savage hands and the opening band. I didn't know them much but I still took a few pictures of them lol I wasn't expecting 4 bands so my storage wasn't big enough for 400+ pics 😅 but I took 300+ pics 🤪🙃🤣 still sorting them I'm sorry for the long wait. This shows me from now on to sort in files while at concerts during free time . You live and learn lol. People have also asked about the watermark vs logo. I did this because I knew posting my logo takes time.. like 5 seconds per photo so that would take much longer so I did watermarks instead which automatically happen. For those photos without it.. those came from video captures /pics taken during video. 🤗 Then I will be adding more featured artists soon I can't wait for y'all to hear them. I will also be updating artist of the month soon as well. 🤗Many have asked about my counter on my site as well for privacy reasons it is private and Only time I ever login to the site is to update code. I don't look at any info as it's a privacy reason to me. I know many counters display info and many have no problem with it but it's a safety matter especially for artists who visit my site [thank u for informing me FYI] It was leaking enough info to disclose approximate location of studios etc.. which is private! I also only login to update password every few months. It only counts a view when people go to the site. Tumblr is like Twitter/X where many interact yet few actually visit profiles lol and it's been counting from last year. 🤗 I hope this answers questions I've been receiving about the counter and when rest will be uploaded.. I have 200+ to upload with a limit of 10 per post so it'll take some time this means 20+ posts of photos lol until all are posted I won't be posting much of anything or answering anons because post limits and not wanting to spam feeds . I hope you all understand. Thank u all for continuing to support my site by visiting it and thank u for supporting the artists that I promote. 🤗 I'm a fangirl free promoter. This means I help promote other artists on Twitter/X,spotify,instagram,here on tumblr,"word of mouth" etc.. Many artists have tried to pay me to promote them but I don't accept payment. I'm not a professional promoter and I promote to simply help artists. 🤗 I also am aware it's been a long time since I've been promising more artist reviews my schedule has been insane lately but I promise it'll be worth the wait. These artists are truly amazing. They have no clue I'm reviewing their music until I do. I always send artists a screen shot of any review I make as artists should never have to feel like they have to come to my site to see their review . 💖 Lastly featured artist takes a while to update because the pictures have to be approved by the artist for copyright and respect to the artist reasons. When considering an artist I dm them and ask if so what picture they'd like and they either send it or they send it saying to wait due to copyrights and needed permission to give me permission lol. It can be complicated but yes all are approved by the artist.

Best Camera For Filming
Are you an aspiring videographer or filmmaker looking to start your video production career with a low-cost, user-friendly camera? With so many specifications and features, selecting the correct camera might be overwhelming. As an independent filmmaker, I am aware of the difficulties. Thus, we've got you covered with our top 10 beginner video camera list.
This article will streamline the process, assisting those just starting or looking to boost their game with the best beginner camera for photography and videography.
Part 1: How Do I Choose a Video Camera?
Anyone who wants to get into filmmaking must first make a beginner camera for videography selection. The selection process might be intimidating, given the number of options on the market. Take into account the following significant criteria to make an informed choice:
1. Identify Your Need
Before anything else, decide your primary use for the camera. Are you preparing to record interviews, trip videos, sports footage, or other types of videography? The kind of camera you should think about will be greatly influenced by the use you have in mind.
2. Camera Types
There are several distinct types of video cameras, each of which caters to varied demands and levels of expertise:
Camcorders: These are easy to use and small, making them great for beginners. They are great for filming events, interviews, and family films and have built-in lenses and simple controls.
DSLR and Mirrorless Cameras: These adaptable models are preferred by filmmakers and videographers. They enable interchangeable lenses, giving you more artistic control over your photographs. DSLRs and mirrorless cameras have great image quality and work well with many different types of filming.
Action Cameras: If you enjoy documenting sports or adventure, action cameras like the GoPro are small, tough, and built to resist harsh environments. They are ideal for capturing fast-paced events.
Cinema cameras: These are more expensive and sophisticated options frequently utilized in professional filmmaking. They offer superb image quality, exact controls, and many customizing options. Consider them if you're serious about making films.
3. Resolution
The quality of the video is essential. Aim for at least 1080p (Full HD) resolution for high-quality videos. Many current cameras provide 4K (Ultra HD) or even 8K possibilities for more clarity and detail. Your budget and the planned usage of your footage will influence your decision. Note that greater resolutions could necessitate more processing power and storage space.
4. Budget
Set up a feasible budget before hitting the market. Knowing your budgetary limitations can help you narrow down your alternatives because video cameras come in a wide range of prices. There are affordable cameras with good video quality suited for amateurs and high-end devices that offer unique features.
So, for selecting the best beginner camera for photography and videography, you must carefully evaluate your requirements, financial constraints, and desired features. You'll be well on your way to producing stunning videos that reflect your creativity once you have a good starter camera for video.
