Then, after a few flutes of overpriced champagne, a quick reassurance from you that you could definitely fuck in one of the rooms of this mansion without getting caught, the rest of the night was history.

It started out normally, at first— every now and then one of you would contact the other after a stressful day, and you would either fuck in his place or yours, then leave before midnight. then one of the wine glasses tumble to the floor, and you giggle and you're tipsy and you're looking anywhere but at Wriothesley and he backs off, also so so so confused about what will happen now. Now that he wants something more. That night, you take his bed and he stays out on the sofa, thoughts too muddled by everything that just occurred to get any proper sleep. Unbeknownst to him, you don't get any rest that night either.

Things change. A little. Neither of you talk about That Night. Neither of you address the almost-kiss that would have definitely meant more than just this casual fucking. Neither of you talk about it though, too scared to make the first move and ruin a good thing because of selfishness. But neither of you can stay away from each other— even despite busy schedules and hectic work, you manage to meet each other and have some of the most mind-blowing sex. It usually happens at his place, now, despite it being where That Night took place. You become a fixture in his home on nights when you're both available, taking up space in his bed but never staying too long.

Each time you slip out from under the covers, pulling your clothes on, blowing him a kiss that you can both tell is becoming more and more strained before you dart out the door, too fast for his racing heart to catch up with. You don't give yourself enough time to think about what would happen if you just stayed. If you buried yourself under the sheets and against Wriothesley and just let yourself be vulnerable, hoping that things fall into place the way you wish they would.

Wriothesley lets you walk out each time, all too aware of the conflict that paints your face. He's feeling the same thing too, after all. You struggle to move, to get out of there before you do anything dumb, Wriothesley struggles to hold still, to not take your hand in his and press the softest kisses on your arm, up to your face and to just hold you like he's been wanting to for months. His heart aches when he hears the frantic rustle of your clothes being practically thrown on, wishing that he could just bridge the gap and ask you to stay.

But it's too much one day. You slip out of the sheets like you always do, on foot on the floor, the other still tangled in the blankets, forcing yourself to move move move because if you stop for just a second you know that you'll never want to leave. But you look so sad to leave. All too much like That Night that started all of this. And his heart aches for a different reason than usual and before he can even think (because he knows that he'll never forgive himself if you leave looking like you're just going to spiral in your own thoughts when you get back to yours) he wraps a hand around your upper arm, pulling your back against his chest and holding you close—

so close, you can feel how his heartbeat hammers against his ribcage. You can feel his breath against the back of your neck and how his breath hitches as he prepares to speak, arms coming up to hold you closer, finally letting himself hold you close like he's been wanting to for months.

"Stay," he whispers, sending shivers down your spine. It's just one word, but it falls so heavily in the silence. Months and months and months of this back and force dance of longing and pining finally being put to an end. He lays his heart out on the table— whatever happens next is all up to you.

You tug slightly on the arms holding you so tightly to him and as he loosens his grip you turn, draping your arms around his shoulders and holding him close and oh his heart skips a beat in his chest because he feels so much for you. So much that he cannot put it into words that is in any way close to the love and affection and the fondness that he feels for you.

So instead he holds you close, one arm around your back, hugging you to his chest. The other grabs the edge of his blanket to drape over your forms when he lays you both down, skin to skin and heart to heart. He holds you against him under the blankets while you doze off in his arms, content and happy. And the rest is history.

of course, that hasn’t come true (and you don’t believe it ever will), but both the civilians and the royal family hold onto that sliver of hope ever so dearly. though, in the position of being someone forced into the position of marriage, you can’t help but view the tradition as something simply bizarre and unnecessary.

moreover, you haven't a clue who you are about to marry. the thought irritates you to the core, and your mother’s repetitive words on how this was ‘something she experienced too’ not making you feel any better — in fact, it was dampening your already sour mood even further.

just why hadn’t this been dropped centuries ago? the answer to that question doesn’t seem to be keen on revealing itself to you.

and so here you are, behind tall wooden doors in a dress you struggle to move in — much less breathe in — that will soon reveal a banquet hall filled with your and your groom’s relatives, a plethora of aristocrats that you couldn’t even dare to name no matter how long you stared at them, and reporters who were ready to swarm you with questions whenever they’d get the chance.

“there’s no need to fear, my dear.” your mother states by your side, and a scoff is the first response she receives.

the ceremony soon starts, and the words spoken by the priest pass through your ears like static fuzz, not paying attention to the prophecy that was being retold to the audience.

“i assume you were forced into this?” you begin in a whisper, wanting only the person beside you to hear your voice.

you turn to gaze at him and he looks a little surprised you actually started a conversation. “sure.”

sure? what kind of response was that? the least he could do was respond with a decisive yes or no to not leave you hanging like this. perhaps that smile from earlier really was to fool the reporters on a loveless marriage

you tried to play into humor, hoping to get a better reaction out of him, but what he says shocks you instead. “we aren’t strangers though.”

The latest El Clasico game was coming up, and you were excited but also a little nervous. You knew it was going to be a tense match, and you didn't want to let your competitive spirit get in the way of your relationship.

The day of the match arrived, and as usual Sergio had to get up early to prepare. You wished him good luck and said you'd be rooting for him and Real Madrid, but both of you knew you were lying. Sergio did not mind that you were a Barcelona fan, but of course when he is wearing his Real Madrid jersey he always playfully bugs you with how he is gonna beat them, just for you two to get into a playful argument. As the much-anticipated match between the two teams approached, you couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. The players took to the field, and the camera panned to the VIP section where the WAGs were seated. It zoomed in on you as you playfully teased with your Barcelona jersey and stuck your tongue out, the scene broadcasted on the massive screens throughout the stadium. The camera then focused on Sergio's face, who was on the field, laughing and shaking his head. Although you supported opposing teams, Sergio never felt ashamed of your choices, and you both refused to let social media judgment affect your relationship.

As the game began, you wore your Messi jersey and prepared to cheer your team on. You were glued to your seat, watching as the two teams battled it out on the field, each vying for an advantage. Sergio was playing in midfield, and you could see him tirelessly running back and forth, determined to help his team. You were screaming and hollering, completely invested in the game. Although you were cheering for Real Madrid, you couldn't help but yell threatening words towards anyone who tried to hurt Sergio, as if they could hear you over the deafening crowd. Despite your allegiance to Real Madrid, your love for Sergio and your concern for his safety superseded everything else.

In the 14th minute, Real Madrid scored the first goal, with a beautiful goal by Benzema. You groan in frustration, while Sergio jumps up and down, his teammates congratulating him on the assist.The rest of the first half is a tense affair, with Barcelona struggling to find their footing. Real Madrid, on the other hand, looks in control, and it's no surprise when they score their second goal just before the halftime whistle. You could feel the tension building in the stadium, with the Real Madrid fans jubilant and the Barcelona fans deflated.

At halftime, you take a deep breath and try to calm your nerves. “Sergio why do you have to be such a good DEFENDER!,” you groan.

But you're not ready to give up just yet. Barcelona is known for their comeback victories, and you're hoping they can turn things around in the second half. 

Unfortunately, it's not to be. Real Madrid comes out even stronger, with another goal from Benzema in the 52nd minute, followed by a stunning strike from Modric in the 68th minute. Barcelona can't seem to catch a break, with their passes going awry and their shots missing the mark. When the final whistle blows, the score is 4-0 in favor of Real Madrid. 

After the intense game came to a close, you waited anxiously outside the players' locker room. Your heart was pounding with excitement, waiting to see Sergio. Moments later, he emerged from the room, his face flushed and covered in sweat. Your eyes locked, and a huge grin broke out across his face. Without wasting any time, Sergio pulled off his jersey, revealing his toned, glistening muscles, before enveloping you in a tight embrace. You squealed in delight, feeling his damp sweatshirt stick to your skin. "You need to shower, you stink!" you teased. Sergio grinned, "Embrace the smell of a winner," he joked. You rolled your eyes, "No quiero escucharlo(I don't want to hear it.)"

Despite the sweat, the closeness felt intimate and cozy, and Sergio's embrace was comforting. You looked up at him, and he leaned down to kiss you. The warmth of his lips sent shivers down your spine, and you eagerly returned the kiss. Breaking the embrace, you take a step back, and look at him with admiration. "Although you did play great tonight, baby," you say, smiling. Sergio beams with pride," Wanna prove how much you love me?" he asks playfully , holding the jersey that was still in his hands out for you to take. Your face scrunches up in disgust, "Eww, de ninguna manera! (Eww, no way!)" you exclaim. Sergio laughs, "si manera (Yes way)," winking at you.

Feeling playful, you snatched the jersey from him, and held it at arm's length, making a face. Sergio chuckled, "Sabes que lo amas en secreto (You know you secretly love it)," he teases. You roll your eyes, "En tus sueños, cariño(In your dreams, honey)."

The next thing you know, you're leaving the stadium wearing his sweaty jersey.…. Or as he would say, the winner's jersey.

Lately, there have been extremely hot days, and then all of a sudden, the temperatures are dropping again so I often find myself being dressed inappropriately when I go out. Yesterday for example, I was wearing clothes that weren't suitable for the weather😇Flimsy pants made of thin material without tights underneath and just a thin, short down jacket😂My legs were freezing😂 Why did I choose a short jacket? I kept blaming myself all day as I was struggling not to be blown away by the strong wind😇 Well, I somehow survived yesterday, so today I made sure not to make the same mistake again. I wore a thick long wool coat, tights underneath my pants and a huge muffler wrapped around my neck. Best choice, it was perfect ＼＼\\٩( 'ω' )و //／／ I didn't feel the cold at all! ! I was so happy that I ate yakiniku for lunch all by myself at my favourite small restaurant. (I should have taken some pictures😅)

Genuinely, I’m really really well! I’ve written a ton the last few days (on my PHONE no less) and I’ve had lots of inspiration and I really like the stories I’m working on, which isn’t always the case.

Me and my family just moved a few days ago but instead of being insanely stressful like last time, it’s been really… good? Like, it’s been nice. I think we’ve all adjusted to the changes really smoothly :)

I’ve gotten to spend time with my toddler cousins!! They’re so darn cute and the four year old, who I’ll call B, says the most hekkin adorable things on earth my heartttt

A week ago I went on a really amazing beach trip—I don’t think I’ve ever had as much fun on a trip as I did last week, or at least I can’t remember ever having that much fun. It was awesome.

Depends, really.

If it’s something specific that’s making me sad—losing someone, losing something personal, having a frustrating day—I need to be alone, and I need to let myself cry. Usually, once that happens, I feel better!

However, if it’s a different scenario—dealing with anxiety, for example—I really need to talk to people. I need to know that I’m not alone.

I’ve found that distractions, whether they be music or movies or social media or writing, don’t typically help me when I’m feeling down. In fact, they often make me feel worse.

I was so excited to see Top Gun: Maverick that though I have in fact seen the original many times before, I didn't rewatch it before I went to the theater.

Last night I rewatched it again after seeing TG: M three times (so far!!). I'm embarrassed to admit this but here we go: I totally forgot about the part where they're in the bar and Ice comes over to Goose and Mav and greets Goose by saying, "Mother Goose!" 🥺🤧

It's an important part and means so much to me, especially because of how broken up Ice later is when he's telling Maverick how sorry he is about Goose. 😭

Y'ALL:

This is from a Buzzfeed article (read it in full here: 17 Times "Top Gun: Maverick" References "Top Gun" https://buzzfeed.com/evelinamedina/top-gun-maverick-then-vs-now) and when I read the above I literally screamed out loud because basically, this article is confirming that yep, all of us did indeed see what we saw when it comes Hangman and Rooster. 🤩

Look, interpret this piece of information (that we all knew anyway lol) however you want, just know that I am loosing my fangirl mind right now.

Addtionally, on a somewhat related but also kind of random note, I would like to point out that I personally see Hangman as an Ice-Maverick hybrid because he kind of looks like Ice, but he follows the rules like how Maverick did (or didn't, rather...). Looks aside, I also get Ice vibes after he saved Mav and Rooster at the end of the movie!!!

And Bradley is very much his father's son, but still makes sure to follow the rules, always and of course (as we all saw!) is the first to point out whenever people are being unsafe and leaving their wingman when they aren't supposed to (Ice vibes for Rooster, anyone?? 🥺💙).

Thinking about how Jake would call Bradley "baby" as a pet name has me going absolutely feral.

Not to mention all of the different ways he can say it and the context of when he uses it.

Just imagine them waking up next to each other and Jake's usually unheard southern accent slips out when he utters, "Morning, baby," because it's still early and he hasn't had time to adjust quite yet.

Or when he gleefully shouts, "Hey, baby!!" from across the room when he sees Bradley again for the first time after either one of them has been away on an assignment.

And of course, when they are in the heat of the moment and Jake pants out, "Yeah, baby, right there, that's the spot."

Yeah. 😌😍

y/ninstadiary (12/3/18) today i met someone different. i pushed myself to go on a date. i’m still confused as to his motif behind taking me out, but he was nice. he had kind eyes. and was really pretty actually. i’m writing in the uber on my way home from our date at the museum. it felt weird to be in the presence of someone i actually wanted to be around. not sure whether i’ll go out with him again or whether i deserve it? today felt lucky though. :)

y/ninstadiary (17/8/18) this photo now means a lot to me. this man said he loves me today. harry said it casually that it took me a moment to realise what he’d said. i was so conflicted at first, trying to make sure he knew what he’d said and whether he truly believed it. but he does. he loves me. i took a photo of him today (above) so i could remind myself of how beautiful he looked when he said he loves me. my therapist also suggested adding him onto my personal diary log… so hi harry❤️
