I dislike that nebulous specter of "Fanon Obi-Wan" as much as the next guy but Everytime I look at the notes on those posts about his characterization I think cmon guys. We are in the process of creating Fanon Obi-Wan 2.0 (derogatory) here. Do we really need some sort of counter-fanon interpretation that is flagrantly wrong in new and exciting ways and also fueled by spite? What is going on 💥
#obi wan#i am not immune to hating on fanon obi-wan or whatever but imho actual works containing him are easy to avoid#i think we need to banish the word fanon from our vocabulary for a while#fandom-consistent writing of a character who has existed since 1977 is. dare i say it. impossible
