To round off my 2021 completion of my incredibly late Trick or Treats, the lovely @the-astro-ambassadors won a Treat from me on Treat Day and asked me to spotlight - and this is the particularly lovely part, haha - whatever I wanted. And after considering it for a bit, I decided that what I want to highlight for all you amazing people who follow me and my craziness is none other than my 100 Followers Celebration.
And, ahem, I know that it’s a slightly odd time to do it, given that I currently have... uh... well let’s just say closer to three hundred than one hundred followers (😱😱😱😍😍😍😭 I love you all SO MUCH, oh my goodness!!!!) Anyway, yes, as you can probably tell from the fact that... well the fact that it’s FEBRUARY 2021 and I am finishing a Trick or Treat challenge, I am late for everything. And this celebration, of course, is no different.
Perhaps a good place to start would be to explain what the celebration was all about? Well, luckily, that one’s pretty simple. I put out the gushy posts (and, honestly, I still get that EXACT same feeling whenever I look at my follows page 🥺💜 you are all the BEST, ahhhh!!!)
... Oh my gosh, I’m just going to keep going off topic here about how much I love you all, aren’t I? Ahem, MAN, I need to focus. So, here’s the idea: every time I’m hit by a wave of love, I’m just going to put three lemons in parentheses, and you guys will know they mean “I ADORE YOU SO MUCH, I am so touched flattered stunned surprised moved and insanely happy by your follows/care, and right back to you’re the best people on the planet.” Cool? Cool 🤣🤣🤗
So, to try this again, third time lucky - I put out the gushy posts about having 100 followers (🍋🍋🍋) and explained how I’d like to give something back to YOU (because, guess what, 🍋🍋🍋!) So I set up three separate series, called Danny Boy & Quake, Sky’s the Limit, and Spider-Dorks, and asked you guys to send in prompts for what you’d like to see.
Now, each of the above was aimed at a different section of my followers (🍋🍋🍋). Danny Boy & Quake, for example, is for those of you who are of the Dousy persuasion, and, like me, absolutely loved AoS season 7 and wish the show wasn’t over. So for this series, I’m taking Daisy and Sousa, and basically just... exploring where they go from where canon left us! The first fic, for example, picks up right before the One Year Later time-skip, with Sousa and Kora talking about Daisy and their relationships with her while she’s recovering post-final fight in the healing pod. Then we transition on to Daisy and Sousa bonding with Alya, Fitz, Jemma, and so on... teasing each other about ill-advised 50s haircut choices... and even ending up in the bottom of an ocean as a Fitzsimmons parallel once!
Basically, it’s about Dousy, and the life they might have post-canon - starting their relationship properly, and the adventures they could have, and just... a SHIELD-crazy, but love-rich journey for them both.
Next up is Sky’s the Limit, my personal favourite, and, as you may have guessed given that I’m, well, me xD, it’s Staticquake. This one is set in a post-season 2 AU where, a) Jemma never got eaten by the Monolith, and b) Lincoln joined SHIELD as Daisy’s first Secret Warrior. Lash is not a thing, and neither is the ATCU, it’s just... the SHIELD family, with some bonus sweet-babies Staticquake, being themselves, and getting to have that “what if it was all the SHIELD characters but with no life-threatening situations, just like them going shopping at Target, having karaoke nights, binge-watching shows together, and being a family in general” AU situation that the cast and fandom are always saying they’d like so much.
The first ficlet, for example, is about Lincoln consoling Daisy post-her mom’s death and dad’s mind-wiping, and being the first person she tells about her decision to change her name. From there, we go on to Daisy teasing Fitzsimmons after their successful date, that they actually get to go on, fjslkfjdfljd. After that, we transition into full prank war mode with the whole team, and, of course, an alternate Staticquake get-together... oh, it’s going to be SO FUN. 😍
Last but definitely not least is Spider-Dorks, the series I’m writing for the Spideychelle section of my followers (🍋🍋🍋). It, too, is set in an everything-is-canon-up-until-I-say-to-keep-things-happy AU - this one follows everything that canonically happened right up to and through Spider-Man: Homecoming, but cuts off right after that. And instead of Infinity War, we now get... Peter and MJ being oblivious idiots, Ned shaking his head at them both and also shipping them really hard, and, of course, the three of them getting into all kinds of shenanigans together.
The first ficlet, to give you an idea, is about MJ in her role as AcaDec captain confronting Peter about always missing practice, and basically being like, you can skip it if you want, just know that I’m coming to your place to quiz your ass off when you are home. And because she’s MJ, she also casually drops the bomb of “oh, and I know you’re Spider-Man...” Of course, a firm friendship develops from there, and the next thing you know, MJ and Ned are testing out Peter’s old webshooters, she’s meeting Natasha, and, because of course, Ned’s doing his very best to set up these two oblivious idiots... Oh, yes, I love this one 😝😍
Now, at this point, you may be thinking, well, gosh, look how organised she is, she’s already gotten all the fics written! or something along those lines, but, uh. While I have invested a lot of time in the planning of these series, nothing has actually been written yet, which... is why I’m here today xD. This is going to be one of my biggest projects for 2021 - writing, posting and finishing these three series. Right after I finish my (hey look, also late!!) agentsofchallenges Fluff Bingo, and try to keep up with my birthday fic writing.
... andddd this turned into a spotlight of, hey look it’s Lily’s 2021 schedule! Oh gosh, sorry, I’m incorrigible 🙈 But the point of this entire thing is, I’m throwing a spotlight on these three series today so that anyone who’s interested can know that I am actively working on them as of this year, and if you keep a watch on my blog (and, hey, I would not complain to the occasional encouraging/yelling ask in my inbox 😝) then yes, you will see these series before the end of the year. Hopefully. Definitely!!!
Thank you SO much for playing in my Trick or Treat all those months ago, Heather, and late or no, crazy or no, I hope you enjoyed this answer/treat! Who knows - maybe I’ll even see you in one of these series :D
And to everyone who read this: ALL THE LEMONS TO YOUUUUU, all of them, I genuinely and absolutely adore you. And am also ridiculously excited to share these series with you guys. AHHHHH. You really are the BEST!!! 😍🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋
#trick or treat things#100 followers celebration#spotlight#danny boy & quake#sky's the limit#spider-dorks#my series 🥺#i honestly love these three soooo much#but what I ESPECIALLY love about them is that I get to give something back to *you* guys#because honestly -#every SINGLE time I say 'I love you all' I mean it; from the BOTTOM of my heart#you are all the BEST for following me; for caring what I say; and for making me smile THIS MUCH from day to day 💜💜#all!! the!! love!!!#🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋#wip spotlight#🌕🌕🌕#lily's belated trick or treats

a little fic inspired by these set photos all about what happened when no one comes to pick up michelle after the dc incident. or read on ao3
“How in the hell are you calm enough to be reading right now?!” Ned leaned over across the aisle of the school bus to get her attention. He was practically vibrating with energy, hell most of the team still was, a near death experience would do that to you. If Ned was really paying attention he’d see Michelle wasn’t even actually reading, she swore she’d been on this same page for the past forty minutes. She’d pretty much completely lost her ability to focus on anything, but what had happened in dc. It was terrifying for her and she hadn’t even been in the plummeting elevator. Just seeing the fortress of a building shake from the force of whatever had exploded sent her heart into her throat. Knowing the acadec team was in there made her lunch want to make a reappearance because as much as she hides it she cares about them. Even Flash when he wasn’t being so insufferable.
“I mean Spider-man saved us!! Spider-man! How are you not freaking out!?” Ned, to put it lightly, was obsessed with superheroes that much she knew from listening in to his and Peters vivid conversations during lunch everyday. Peter himself perked up from the seat behind Neds at the mention of spider-man, leaning onto the back of Neds seat looking over to Michelle as if anticipating her answer.
“Saved you guys. I was never actually in danger,” Michelle shrugged looking back down to her book trying to keep up her nonchalant facade. Rationally she knew that, knew that the whole time she was okay, she just wished her body would understand that as well. Even though hours had passed since the teams lives had been in danger her body could not, would not relax. It was the scariest thing she’d ever experienced. She still couldn't believe how lucky they’d been that Spider-man had showed up. A shiver went down her spine every time the images of what would’ve been, if they hadn’t been as lucky, flooded her mind.
“But still! A superhero!!” She let her gaze go back to Neds face, lit up with excitement and adrenaline baffled that she wasn’t agreeing with him. Peter next to him was sporting a blush a proud grin plastered across his face. Michelle snapped her head back down to her book, more of an excuse not to interact with people at this point than a tool for learning since she's still yet to turn the page. It was also an especially great excuse to avert her eyes from getting lost in Peters dorky adorable smile.
“I don't know Ned,” She responded keeping her eyes cast down, “I guess I’m just not that intrigued by that kind of stuff.”
That couldn’t be further from the truth. Michelle was very intrigued with Spider-man. Especially now after he swooped in and saved the day. It wasn’t his powers or his suit that interested her though. It was his voice. Because she recognized it. She swore she recognized it. Before she noticed his presence she’d heard the voice. Cursing herself now for not paying more attention so she’d have an easier time placing that frantic tone, albeit her mind was a little preoccupied at that moment. Even if she had been paying more attention the few words he mumbled before running off would still make it incredibly difficult to place the voice with a face. Hell he could be anyone from Queens, 2.3 million people wasn’t exactly a simple group to pool. Which brought up another point Michelle couldn’t stop wondering about. Spider-man was coined Queens superhero so you’d think it would to be assumed he lived there since he cared so much that he bothered to protect it. After never being spotted outside queens what the hell was he doing in DC. How had he known about the explosion in the monument so quickly? He gotten there almost immediately after it went off, as if he knew something was going to go wrong. There were a lot of things that didn’t add up with Spider-man. Something about the whole situation was suspect and Michelle was going to get to the bottom of it. Once exhaustion finally over took her the thoughts capturing her mind were still all about spider-man.
The abrupt stop of the bus jolted Michelle awake, they’d finally pulled into the school parking lot after a seemingly never ending drive. Anxious parents waited on the sidewalk, all off them eager to feel their kids in their arms after almost losing them. She scanned the small group of adults, searching and hoping she’d see the face of her father waiting there with anticipation written on his face to see his daughter. But like everything to do with her father she was once again let down. Michelle silently cursed herself for being so damn naive again and letting herself get her hopes up. There was no way he didn’t know what had happened in DC, Mr.Harrington had been sure to call each and every parent to let them know the situation and that the kids were safe. Plus it had been all over the news. She almost wished she didn’t know all that, didn’t know that he knew because then there would have been a reasonable excuse for him not being here. Then she wouldn’t have to face the fact that knowing his daughter could have died still couldn’t get him to care about her. Michelle quickly stood up out of her chair grabbing her duffel bag off the floor and slinging it onto her shoulder roughly. Pushing into the isle and shuffling out with the rest of the team, most of them had to grab their bags from under the bus so luckily the minute her feet hit the ground she could get away from it all, rounding the corner of the bus and hiding away out of sight and away from the emotional reunions. No one was worrying about her, too busy caught up in their own moments with loved ones, but that wasn’t new. No one was ever worrying about Michelle. For someone to worry about her that would mean they’d have to care, and it felt like the list of people who didn’t care about her was never ending. Top of the list being her father. Thinking about him made her pull her phone out of her pocket and dial his number. It rang twice before his gruff voice filled her ear.
“What.”
“Hi, Dad. Its Michelle,” She said, angry at herself for how nervous she sounded, but she couldn’t help it. Maybe talking to him would be good. Maybe she’d find out he was on his way to pick her up and was just running late. Maybe he had been worried about her well being. Maybe he did care.
“You are interrupting my work, what do you want?”
Or maybe not.
“Well we just got back from DC, I was wondering if you were coming to pick me up from the school?” She asked.
“Michelle have I ever picked you up from school?”
“No, but-”
“Great, then that's settled. Goodby-” He was already trying to rush her off the phone, even sparing a few seconds for his daughter was too much of a stretch.
“Wait! Didn’t you hear about what happened to the team?” She couldn’t believe he didn’t even seem phased.
“Yes, I already had to deal with one interruption today from your babbling teacher. So if that's all from you I’ll be hanging up now,” His tone was completely uninterested, and frankly a little pissed off which Michelle couldn’t believe.
“Aren’t you concerned about me?” The minute the words slipped past her lips she wanted to cry. She didn’t need to hear the answer to that question. She’d known all her life what it was.
“You’re alive, are you not? Are you bleeding or broken?” He made no effort to hide the annoyance in his voice.
“Well, no, but-“
“Right so you are requesting I be your chauffeur because what?” He snapped, she could feel the harsh whip of his tone even through the phone.
“I just figured that you’d want to make sure I was okay after an explosion went off,” That's what any good parent would want, but Michelle didn’t say that bit.
“From my understanding you weren’t even in the building for the incident so I’m not sure why you are making such a big deal of this.”
“Well..People almost died,” Her voice was quiet.
“But not you. So again I’m wondering why you are interrupting my work when I’m sure you are fully capable of getting home yourself,” There was a finality in his tone she knew she shouldn’t question, and yet.
“I am, I just-“
“That’s enough Michelle. Don’t interrupt me again, you should know better.”
click.
And the line was dead. Michelle shoved her phone back in her pocket leaning her head against the cold metal of the bus, closing her eyes as to not let her tears spill over. She was pissed off at herself for thinking that exchange would have gone any differently, for having an inkling of hope for her father to not be completely and utterly uninterested in her. The sounds from the other side of the bus of parents reuniting with their kids from the acadec team filled her ears again, just a continued and brutal reminder that she didn’t have anyone who cared about her. Quickly swiping at her eyes making sure there was no evidence of tears she straightened up, gripping her acadec blazer a little tighter in her hands. It was late, almost 11 by the time the bus pulled in the school parking lot way later than she was ever used to walking home alone but she needed to go, get a start before it got any worse. And before any of the team noticed her walking. But of course as if sensing her readiness to escape rounding the corner came Peter and his Aunt May.
“Oh hey! Michelle!” Peters voice was husky still, a sign he too fell asleep on the long bus ride home. “May, you remember her, right?”
“Of course!” She exclaimed, “Michelle!” May reached her arms out and quickly wrapped her into tight hug. They had met each other once before at one of the decathlon teams qualifying meets. Michelle was so shocked by the loving gesture she almost didn’t know what to do, but the second Mays hand rubbed softly on her back soothing she relaxed, wrapping her arms back around the older womans small frame.
“Sweetheart, I am so glad you are safe,” Her voice was soft, probably only loud enough for Michelle to hear. The words were only meant for her ears, she was saying it because she meant it, not for anyone else's benefit. This kind of blatant act of affection from a parental figure was something so new to Michelle it rocked her straight to her heart. She squeezed her eyes tight to prevent any tears from falling, hoping Peter didn’t notice what she was doing. Starting to cry over something as simple as a hug would be wildly embarrassing and that was not something she wanted to deal with right now. May gave her one more tight squeeze before pulling back. Michelle gave her the most genuine smile she’d given anyone in the past months, hoping she could convey in a look how she appreciated that gesture. May took a step back wrapping her arm around her nephews shoulder pulling him into her side.
“I still can not believe what happened. I’m just so glad to see you guys here all in one piece,” May explained, “I swear I have been just so jittery waiting for this kid to finally get home.”
“Yeah now I get to be smothered for the next four days,” Peter said with a laugh, looking over to Michelle as if she could relate. Which he didn’t know she couldn’t, she had no clue what that feeling was like someone caring about you so much they go overboard a little.
“Hey, don’t you start with me,” May laughed back ruffling his hair. “Trying to raise a teenager is stressful enough without elevators exploding.”
“Yeah yeah,” Peter rolled his eyes at her, but it was with love. Every interaction between them two radiated familial affection. It was something so foreign to Michelle, such casual and relaxed displays of love.
“I’m sure your parents feel the same,” May said to Michelle, she tensed up immediately at those words. Shit shit shit. She hadn’t thought of an excuse for their absence yet. As if reading her mind May looked around with a curious stare noting the missing adults.
“Are your parents not here, honey? Is someone coming to pick you up?”
Shit. shit. Shit.
“Um, my dad is just running late,” Michelle tried to get an excuse out quickly, trying not to make her lies so obvious. “He works late is all. So I’m just gonna walk to the subway and meet him there.”
“Walk by yourself? At this time at night? Oh absolutely not. We’ll give you a ride to the station,” May nodded, her tone was firm, one Michelle imagined a mother used that meant, end of discussion. But she couldn’t take the chance of getting to the station with them to the big reveal of no dad showing up.
“Oh no, really you don’t need to do that. I walk this route every day after school. Its really no big deal,” Michelle vehemently denied, gripping her blazer still in her hands tighter at the thought of them finding out her father didn’t care about her.
“Michelle, we are giving you a ride.”
Right as Michelle went to decline again Peter spoke instead.
“There is no point in arguing with her,” He laughed, “May is the only person I know whos more stubborn than you.”
“He's right, however I prefer strong willed,” May said playfully before directing her attention back to Michelle, “But I am serious. We are giving you a ride.”
Well, fuck. Here we go.
“Okay, thank you Mrs.Parker,” Michele said not wanting to further argue with her and began to walk with them towards the car. She could still pull this off, it’s not like they were going to walk her down into the subway station.
“Oh, please call me May,” She clicked to unlock her car as they approached, “Or Aunt May if you like that better. That’s what Ned calls me.” She said that bit with a laugh as they all slid into the car. Peter upfront with May and Michelle in the back. “Although he’s over at our place so much it really does feel like I’m his aunt too.”
May and Peter got into a lively discussion about a neighbors multiple cats that are always escaping the apartment as they made their way out of the parking lot. When there was a slight lull in the discussion Michelle quickly told May what station she used before they headed in the wrong direction, and thanked her again for going out of her way to give her a ride. As much as Michelle didn’t want them to find out she was lying about her Dad she sure as hell hadn’t wanted to walk to the subway this late at night. At least the walk from the station to her house was well lit, she couldn’t say that much about the trek from the school to the subway.
“Don’t even mention it, honey. It’s no problem at all,” She sent her a sweet smile through the rear view mirror. Michelle smiled back shyly, she wasn’t used to this much kindness. It didn’t take a genius to know why May was so adamant about about Michelle not walking alone. She’s sure May would’ve reacted this way with anyone. Knowing what happened not even a year before with her husband on a quick run to the corner store made Michelle’s heart ache for even trying to argue with her. When something like that happens, something so seemingly random, you become cautious making sure to do anything to prevent something so horrible from happening again.
They pulled up outside the station in no time at all, Michelle was sure if she had walked there was no way she’d even be a quarter of the way here yet.
“Michelle it was lovely to see you again, sweetheart. I am so glad you’re safe,” May said pulling the car to a idle in front of the station. She turned to face Michelle, “Ideally I’d walk you down to see you off to your father, but nothing about parking in new york is ideal.”
Michelle relaxed immensely at that, here she was in the clear not having to deal with them and the never appearing father. She said a grateful thanks sending May a smile, then got out of the car with a quickness. Michelle was so focused on grabbing her stuff and starting to make a move towards the entrance to the subway she didn’t even notice Peter hop out of the car to follow behind her until he spoke up.
“Sorry about May, she’s a little overprotective sometimes,” Her feet skidd to a stop at the top of the stairway. She whipped around, met with Peter so casually following her, hands in his pockets.
“What are you doing?”
“Uh, walking you to the subway?”
“Obviously, genius, I mean why?” She did not need this right now, why couldn’t Peter just be an ill mannered boy like everyone else their age.
He shrugged walking past Michelle and bouncing down the stairs, “Make sure you’re safe.”
Michelle just grumbled to herself, following him down the stairwell. stupid thoughtful boy. She knew why him and May were both so cautious which just made her feel worse for giving them such a hard time. She sighed, more reasons to feel shitty on top of this shitty day.
Once they arrived by the turnstyles Peter just leaned on a support beam crossing his feet like he was gonna be there for a while.
Fuckin hell! he's really going to see me off onto the subway.
“You don’t have to wait with me,” Michelle snapped a little harsher than necessary but the sting of her father's neglect was still fresh and Peter being so incessantly nice to her somehow just pissed her off more. There he was standing so relaxed in the middle of the station with that goofy smile on his face and his kind eyes staring at her, so yeah she snapped at him.
“Yeah I know,” He responded with a small shrug, “But I also know once I get back to the car Mays mothering is gonna be turned up to a thousand so don’t think this is for you.”
That lopsided smile he was sporting told her he was just joking and the way he didn’t seem bothered that his aunt hadn’t let go of his hand since he’d gotten off of the bus showed loud and clear how much they loved each other. Michelle looked out to the surprisingly empty station and wondered what that love felt like. she thought she kinda got a glimpse of it when may hugged her impossibly tight at the bus, but that was someone who barely knew her. she was just being protective. Michelle was pretty sure that love never existed in her house, not even when her mother was around. at this point she was pretty much resigned to the fact she was just not destined to feel that kind of affection.
“So how many of those you finish this trip?” Peter gestured to the book in her arms. “Gotta be at least three right? I wouldn’t be surprised if it was more, even though we were gone for like a day. You know, I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who reads as much as you.”
“You just don’t know many people,” Michelle said flicking her bangs out of her eye, ignoring the way her cheeks heated at his observation.
“Nah, I think you’re just.. I don’t know, different,” He said. Michelle raised an eyebrow at him. “Different in a good way!” He rushed out. “Not like weird different like unique different, it’s cool that you read so much.”
Michelle just nodded in response, she bit at the inside of her cheek to stop a smile from forming on her face at his rambling.
“Which I’ve been meaning to ask you about your books, actually! I was thinking maybe you could recommend me some you’d think I’d like or some of like your favorites maybe.”
She was very shocked at that, Peter was unfairly intelligent, but she definitely didn’t see him as a reader, or at least not of the things she read.
“Um yeah, sure. Most of them are pretty lengthy though, you ever gonna have time to read between all your disappearing acts?” Michelle joked, but then she remembered.
“Where the hell did do you even go today?”
Peters eyes widened, “Uh you know..UH nerves really got to me and just um, I faint!”
“You...faint?” Michelle raised her eyebrows at his excuse, she honestly couldn’t tell if he was truly bullshitting her or if this was just embarrassed Peter working on overdrive.
“Yep,” He rushed, popping the p. “I faint. A lot. Real bad um, fainting.”
“Right...That still doesn’t explain where you disappeared to. You were gone like the entire day. Plus we’ve had like five decathlon meets up until this point and you’ve never fainted before?”
To Peters luck and Michelle’s chagrin they both began to feel the rumble of an incoming subway. Peter always saved by the bell. Michelle stepped away from the wall, mentally cursing herself, she’d hoped Peter would be gone by now. He of course jumped at the change in discussion topic.
“Oh this should be your dad right!?” Peter rushed out. “We could totally give you guys a ride home you know that right? Today was...a lot. I’m sure you don’t feel like dealing with the subway.”
“No i’m fine, i like the subway”
“No one likes the subway” peter says with a laugh “Really, May won’t mind at all, she’ll actually be thrilled to be able to interact with someone other than me or Ned.”
“It’s fine, really,” Michelle said
“Plus we could grab food i’m sure you’re starving, the one luna bar you ate on the bus ride isn’t a sufficient meal,” He continued not bothering to listen to her excuses.
“Peter, I don’t need–“
“At least ask your dad, i’m sure he’d rather not sit on the train after a long ass day.”
“He’s not coming! okay!”
Peters eyes widened at her outburst.
“What?” He said softly, he took a tentative step towards Michelle. “Why?”
Michelle roughly ran her hand down her face, fuckin hell.
“Peter, I don’t have the time to get into my sordid family history. He’s just not coming, okay?”
“No, no it’s not okay, Michelle,” Peter said firmly, “Let us give you a ride home, please. May won’t mind at all.”
No, no, no, no. That look of pity he was giving her right then, those sad eyes and his need to help her. She was not doing this. She could not handle this.
“I take this route home every damn day, Peter. I’m fine, I am not making you guys go out of your way to take me home.”
“But it’s late-“
“Yeah and if you keep arguing with me and make me miss this train, it’s going to be even later!”
Peters inner struggle was written all across his face, debating whether to keep arguing with her until she accepted the ride or just let her walk home in the middle of the night. Finally he spoke up again.
“text me.”
“What?”
“Text me the minute you get home so I know you’re safe. Or if anything happens, I don’t care where you are, if something bad happens call me I’ll come to you,” Peter explained his voice was very no nonsense.
“Something bad? Peter, I’m going to be fine. What could you even possibly do–“
“Michelle, I’m serious,” Peters expression had the same sentiment. She was partly right though, Peter hadn’t actually worked out what he would do if something went wrong. It’s not like he could show up as spider-man right after Michelle calls him, peter, for help.
“Please just text me, okay?”
“Okay, okay, I can do that,” Michelle nodded she’d agree to anything at this point as long as it didn’t involve going back upstairs and getting in that car, she started to take a step towards the train needing to act fast before it took off without her, but she turned around a second and called for him.
“Peter, uh please don’t tell May,” Michelle said, she didn’t want this to affect the way May felt about her.
“I won’t. Promise,” Peter nodded, Michelle responded with a small smile before running off to the train and out of his line of sight. Yeah, there was no way in hell he was going to tell May he let her take the subway alone at this time of night. That was not a fight he had the energy to have after the weekend
-.
“You okay?” Mays soft voice pulled him out of his head and away from all the Michelle centered thoughts bouncing around in there. He turned away from the window where he’d been watching the sky intently for any activity. Thankfully the skys were quiet of any criminals, but he couldn’t help notice the darkening clouds and beginning of rainfall that was gracing the city. It brought his thoughts right back to Michelle, who had no umbrella or real jacket walking home alone in the dark because he had let her leave. Peter held back a worried sigh.
“Yeah,” Peter looked to his aunt now and tried to give her a reassuring smile. The last thing he wanted to do was add onto the stress May already dealt with. “Just a long day, you know?”
“Impossibly long, I’m just glad to have you back in my sights,” May gave his hand, still interlocked with his, a light squeeze as if to make sure he was really still there, safe and healthy. She paused for a moment before continuing, “I don’t know what I would’ve done if anything had happened to you today.”
“Nothing happened to me, May.”
“I know, I know. I just-If I were to lose you Peter,” Mays eyes stayed locked on the road ahead of her, Peter was grateful he couldn’t fully see the tears that had begun to build in her eyes. “I don't know what I would do.”
“You’re not going to have to find out, okay?” Peter promised, there was nothing on earth that would stop him from fighting, he’d always come home to his aunt. “I will always be here with you.”
“Good,” She shined a sad smile to him, “Because you’re all I’ve got in this world.”
“I love you, May.”
“I love you too, sweetheart,” May squeezed his hand one last time before she untangled their fingers, as if finally reassured that he was okay.
For the rest of the ride home Peter couldn’t get those words out of his head.
You’re all I’ve got in this world.
They were all each other had, but for both of them that was enough. A little family of two, aunt and nephew figuring life out together. Peter didn’t know what he would do if he had to face everything in his life alone, which brought his thoughts right back to Michelle. Who was all she had in the world? His heart ached at the very real fact that she was probably all she had. She was strong, he saw that every day at school and in decathlon, never taking anyone's bull and stubborn as hell. But shit, just because she was strong didn’t mean she should have to face everything alone. She deserved someone who wouldn’t know what to do with themselves if anything ever happened to her. Knowing she was heading to an empty home that should be filled with exactly those people made Peters stomach drop to his toes. Nothing cured that feeling either, not when he still hadn’t heard from her after two hours since he’d watched her run off to the subway. That feeling was what pushed him to immediately put on his suit when he got into his bedroom, she could be out there hurt or in danger and for all he knew, and it crushed him to even think this, there would be no one looking for her if she was gone. Peter was halfway out his window with K.a.r.e.n at the ready to track her cell phone when a text message came in.
Home.
So she had arrived safe and sound, but Peter wondered, did she truly feel at home?

Studyblr intro post
So! I have no idea how people format these things. Let's just jump into it
Basics~
-I'm a high school senior in California, where it is so freaking hot right now
-I have ADHD and am still working on nailing how to cope and work with that in school setting, so I Will Blog
-I really!! Like STEM!! And space!! But also English and creative writing on the other end of things. You'd think I'd really like sci-fi since that's the place where those two things intersect, but nope, I like fantasy better
-really hyper person, loves exercise, working on actually Doing That though. Sports that I do on and off include: gymnastics, ice skating, soccer, running, biking, and a sport I made up called "jumping off the swings in increasingly weird and risky ways". Sports I want to try include: everything.
Classes I’m taking~~
This year I’m taking Calculus, Econ/Gov, Clean Engineering, AP Psychology, AP Literature, and Academic Decathlon!!
-Clean Engineering is a class we have at our school. We engineer stuff. It’s clean. So far all we’ve done this first week (just started) is make spaghetti towers
-I wanted to take AP Computer Science instead of AP Psych but a week before school they called to tell me that it was only offered in one period, the same period as another class I had that was also only offered in that period, so I had to switch. Psych is very interesting tho
-Academic Decathlon is a class at my school because we’re v competitive and serious about it. Because there are like, so little people in Acadec on tumblr, and I admit to going through people’s blogs trying to figure out how competitive their team is (me, whenever I see a person who does acadec: 👀👀) I’ll just say it straight here: I’m a varsity from Rancho Cucamonga High School, and I would like the say that we’re pretty good because we got 9th at the California state competition last year!! yee
Going to do even better this year though 😤🙌 *student athlete meme*
Honestly though, if you want to know anything about me, you’d just have to know about Academic Decathlon. I sold my soul to this thing. I’m pretty sure I spend the same amount of time studying for Acadec daily, as I do for all my other classes combined
Goals for this year~~~
-I’m just going for a 3.5 GPA unweighted. I feel like a lot of my classes are easier this year, but I’m trying to take it easy and not put too much pressure on myself 😴 (oh and also I need the room to focus on Acadec lol)
-I want an A in Calculus, because I’ve historically struggled with math and I would really like to bounce back and end high school on a good note on this. I’d also like a B in AP Lit at least, because I’ve heard the class is hard...? But I know the teacher really well and it’s important to me to be able to do well in this. I’m varsity for a reason and I kind of failed one of his classes before, so I want to do better this time!!
-I kind was hesitating on whether to put this in or not, but it’s the truth, so. I want to make the podium at State; the overall podium, for varsity. There, there it is.
AP Lit fandom thing~~~~
This might look like some clever organization thing, I skipped over talking about my url and the stuff in my description back in the section where I was talking about my classes, where it might have made sense to put, in order to talk about it more in depth here! Actually, I just forgot. Oops.
Well anyway- I’m not going to mention it here, but I’m actually very active in a lot of fandoms. I write fanfic, I run blogs, I reblog posts, and one important thing is- I discuss analysis with my sister of the source material all the time.
I will talk for HOURS about my favorite characters, their interesting parts, their flaws, what they’re thinking, how they are who they are. And I actually bring out legit stuff, like I will actually talk about archetypes and symbolism and allusions and different things, and I will happily do all of that stuff for hours.
In English class, all of that? Kaput. Idk what even happened in Great Expectations because I never finished it
So, the solution!: Treat literature like I’m in a fandom for it. No more “wah I don’t want to read this”!! We read, we get excited, and we write Mr. Darcy/whoever coffee shop AU and die like MEN
so anyway.
Are you taking AP Lit???? Do you want to see absolute trash spilled onto your clean studyblr dashes??? Then follow me and join me in my quest to stop treating literature so seriously and actually get excited about it like I would a normal book!!!
Results-are-not-guaranteed-call-your-doctor-if-you-experience-bleeding-rash-mesothelioma-or-blunt-force-trauma-from-getting-hit-in-the-head-by-a-Charles-Dickens-book®®©®™️
anyway. follow me if you like acadec, or ap lit, or adhd, or anothe thing that starts with a. bye, and hope you have a great year!!!

junior prom?
it’s prom season
and peter is annoyed
just because ned got betty to go to prom w him, he’s been so smug and all
like a lil shit
and he keeps trying to tell peter that he should ask mj to prom but like
pfttt thats ridiculous
r i d i c u l o u s
mj, on the other hand has allowed herself to fall into the downward spiral of falling in love with peter parker
if a cliff was ‘falling in love with peter parker’,
she has willingly thrown herself off that cliff
it was fun at first, obsessing over observing peter
now it’s just plain frustrating
because the whole acadec team has grown on her
and they’re all forcing her to go to prom
esp cindy, she has a soft spot for the girl
but she doesn’t really want to go to prom and watch peter get all over some other girl
what other girl, you may ask?
she’s heard them whispering, peter and ned,
ned constantly telling peter that
“you’re so into her!” “dude, you’re crushing hard!’ “man, this was worse than liz!”
and peter always replying with
“no!” “i’m not in love with her! that’s ridiculous, ned! ridiculous.”
mj didn’t buy his stupid shit excuses for a second
there was a damn lucky girl out there that peter was in denial of liking
and michelle isn’t stupid enough to let herself even think for a second that said girl might be her
bc rlly??
so two weeks to prom right
and peter actually does want to go
and he decides to ask michelle to prom
he doesn’t have a crush on her or anything ok
he just happens to not want to go with anyone who isn’t michelle jones
and who does that leave him with?
michelle motherfucking jones.
it’s not his fault that he has butterflies in his stomach whenever she teases him
or that he gets a teeny bit turned on at times whenever she has that badass look on her face
you know, that look
or that he really wants to hug her and never let her go whenever she hears him and ned say something extremely nerdy and dorky and proceeds to crinkle her nose and laugh
peter is sure 99% of the human population feels the same way he does whenever they talk to michelle
bc she’s so perfect
but like in a friend way, of course
so one day peter is being a flake
and he was supposed to be at his house for a sleepover with ned and mj like a half hour ago
so he’s trying to unlock his door but he hears pop music blaring through his apartment
and when he opens the door he does a double take
because what the fuck
michelle, aunt may and ned are all hopping on the couch and jumping around
and karaoke-ing ??
???
MICHELLE?? WYD HONEY?? HE HAS NEVER SEEN HER EVER SINGING OR DANCING TO A POP SONG.
OR EVER DANCING FOR THAT MATTER
peter is sh00k
also holy wow, he always knew she could sing
but he’s only ever heard her humming or quietly singing along to songs
and because he’s a dweeb, he decides that this is the perfect moment to prompose
while ned is rapping to jay z’s part in a beyonce song
and aunt may is cheering him on
oh god this is embarassing
and michelle is singing beyonce’s solo
fuck
so in true peter fashion,
he opens the box of cupcakes he got that spell out ‘prom?’
drops to his knees during the chorus
“be my date?”
michelle is shoOK
aunT MAY IS ABOUT TO GET A HEART ATTACK
NED IS CONFUZZLED
IT ALL HAPPENED SO FAST
WHAT IS GOING ON!!
and everything is silent
except for the instrumental of beyonce’s ‘upgrade u’ playing in the background
oh my god
what
“yes.”
MJ IS ON A HIGH
but then
oh no
peter just saw her singing and dancing to beyonce
petER PARKER
aka boy she is hopelessly in love with
but maybe he’s too distracted w the thought of taking her out to prom
and then ned brings up the idea of taking photos with the cupcake
and may looks so excited
that she isn’t really annoyed
but peter tries his best to make her annoyed
so then the next day cindy is gushing
she’s like so excited!!
and mj is so excited too
she is sucked into getting ready at betty’s house w cindy
but they both look so happy
it’s not that bad
but then flash laughs at her in the hallway and holds up his phone
‘man, you two nerds really deserve each other. this is overly cheesy, even for parker.’
then she realises that ned posted the photos on instagram
by lunch, she’s ready to crush ned’s phone with her bare hands
but the two dorks aren’t there
so she pulls out her phone
and her heart melts
there’s this one photo of the three of them
ned is super close to the camera, only his eyes can be seen
michelle is in her pjs, holding the cupcakes
peter is holding the side of her face with his left hand and he’s smushing they’re faces together with the stupidest smile on his face
michelle takes a screenshot of the photo and sets it as her homescreen
then peter shows up with his lunch tray and a bright red blush on his face
they sit in silence for a while
“so, am i going to see more of your alter ego, pop superstar, singing and dancing extraordinaire, michelle jones?’
michelle groans
peter is smiling happily at her
