Oh joy, I am haunted by a new painting idea

The general gist is a horrid fascimile of a human, shrouded in shadow, only showing the edges of the form and implying incorrect proportions for a person. Their face is covered by the darkness but the eyes are plainly visible, accented by the crooked yet careful hands caressing its face... hands that dont belong to the creature itself but instead reach out from the 4th wall
