Any character, eh? Well you did say any of them so I’m going to give you a random one that will probably be unexpected but fun nonetheless

Now then before we get into things, I did pick a character that is SPOILER WARNING territory if you are not caught up with One Piece. I won’t say who it is just yet though

Okay so imagine that you managed to get your hands on the One Piece Crossing game and how you got your hands on it is irrelevant but when you open up the case

There’s a little piece of paper inside telling you to input a certain code at the character select screen for a secret villager who can only be unlocked with that code, the name of the villager wasn’t on the paper but hey. It’s interesting and you’re curious

So you boot up the game. You make your character and pick your island then you’re brought to the screen that will help you choose what villagers you get, you hit randomize a few times to see if there’s anyone that you’d prefer over this secret character

And although characters like Akainu, Kizaru, Fujitora, Smoker, Tashigi, Sengoku, Garp among others are tempting to take. Curiousity gets the better of you and you input the code causing a text box to pop up once the screen fades to black

“Oh! You’re with them? Why didn’t you say so? They’ve been waiting for you!”

So when the screen fades back in, you’re on the island with an odd looking character as their body is completely blacked out and is only present in silhouette if you could even call it that. The character is downright unnerving too with those big red eyes

Like you’ve heard about what the tutorial is supposed to be but instead of fun little characters telling you how to play in a wholesome little setting, you have a text box telling you exactly what to do which wouldn’t be so unnerving if this weird villager would stop following you

You tried talking to them but the only thing that shows up in their text box is “…” with maybe the occasional “…?” if you keep trying. This is of course too weird and creepy so you turn off the game without saving in hopes of starting a new file without them

But when you reloaded the game, you were right back where you left off with your character laying on the ground like you had fallen unconscious. The character was still there too sitting by you and watching over you with those unblinking red eyes

You tried a few more times but no result so this was your game now… And what were you gonna do? Not play it?

So you continued on with the tutorial going through everything and learning everything until you set down a place for your home, it turned out to be much more extravagant than you expected because as soon as you confirmed that’s where you wanted it to go. The screen faded to black and when it came back in, it was like some kind of mansion

Thinking you would finally be able to get away from this character, you went inside only for them to follow you in and a text box to pop up at the bottom of the screen with your character doing a little animation to show happiness

“Hooray! A new life started with your best friend, Imu! This is gonna be great!”

So Imu was this characters name, at least you knew what to call them and at least they weren’t following you around anymore as they proceeded to make themselves comfortable in your new shared home

Honestly the game wasn’t too bad after that as although it was far from what your friends had told you what their Animal Crossing games were like

Like they had a museum where they would donate their caught fish and bugs to be shown off usually doing a nice animation of some kind to indicate that they were alive while you got a journal to log everything that you found and a wing of the home to show off your findings more like trophies as they would be hung on the walls in frames and placards

Their villagers were friendly and would clap for them when they caught something while you had Imu who needs no explanation further than that and would only acknowledge your catches with a glance in your direction unless you caught a butterfly which appeared to make them mad

They had a shop or two where they could buy things from the cute little NPC’s that ran it while you eventually did unlock a shop but the little NPC’s who ran it seemed more serious and formal like seriously, they would bow to you like you were royalty whenever you entered

They even let you take a sweater for free once saying that Imu told them to allow you to have it… Of course you couldn’t ask them why as any dialogue option that you picked with Imu always resulted in “…” even if it was so much as “Hello!”

It was incredibly different from how your game was and whenever you tried to show your friends just how things were, the battery for your console was always conveniently dead or it just wouldn’t turn on if One Piece Crossing was the game inside of it

As time progressed in the game and you had multiple new villagers move onto your island, which were five old men, you found yourself actually unlocking a few interactions with Imu as you would always talk to them at least once or twice just to see if anything new had occurred in the game

These interactions was the ability to ask if they wanted to do something with you, it would bring up a little menu of “Do you want to fish with me?” or “Do you want to go on a walk with me?” or something to that extent

Typically Imu would follow your character to do whatever you wanted and despite their character model never changing… You could feel an almost… happiness in the air? It was weird as Imu was a video game character…

But regardless, you hung out with Imu now that you had unlocked this but they never did any of the activities with you besides walking or sitting like if you were fishing then Imu would simply stand by you and watch without speaking a word

It was creepy but at least they weren’t just in your house or wandering around your island like a ghost

Plus you weren’t gonna lie, they were turning out to be much better company than the old men who had moved onto your island earlier as lord almighty… They were serious about just about everything…

Imu was creepy and weird but it was better than listening to five old men talk about what sounded like fictional politics…

Eventually when hanging out with your friend one day in real life, they had the suggestion to see if you could visit each others islands in game as the games were incredibly similar

You had a bad feeling about it but you decided to go along with it so when you got home, you booted up your game and headed to the dock. You talked to the NPC there and they seemed reluctant to take you off the island

Asking you so many times if you were sure about this and if Imu knew but eventually they gave in and you were soon heading off

Hanging out with your friend on their island was great fun! Their villagers were cute and friendly, they didn’t even look anything like yours as they were sweet colorful animals. The NPC’s were even way more fun too

You adventured around your friends island together and generally had a great time but all good things must come to an end as suddenly, both of your characters stopped and a notification rolled by saying “Someone has come to visit!”

Asking your friend if they invited someone else turned up nothing but soon you found out who was here as it was NPC’s from your island… Saying that they had come to retrieve you…

Shock went through you and they asked you to cooperate as otherwise they would have to take you by force so seeing no other option, you selected the option to return home and you left your friends island

Upon getting back, you were escorted right back to you and Imu’s home where they were waiting for you. You were left with them and honestly you’ve never felt like your character was in so much danger than they were in that moment

Imu got up and started moving to your character, you had a bad feeling so you made your character rush upstairs and go to sleep. Saving the game and turning it off

A few days later, your friend called you in a frenzy as the island that they had spent so much time building and decorating had been destroyed. They couldn’t load their game and every time that they tried, the game would tell them that their save file was corrupted and they needed to delete the entire game and try again

You tried to comfort them over the phone and get your friend to hopefully calm down but as you were doing that, a thought went through your head. Could it have been…?

No, no, no… That would be ridiculous… Imu was a video game character…

Regardless you booted up your game later in the day when you had time and decided to at least try to figure out what happened and if Imu really did have something to do with it

They weren’t home when your character got out of bed so you went outside deciding to ask the villagers as you were sure that heading to the docks would be a bad decision. Plus they were quite knowledgeable about just about everything

you would select the option to ask them a question but when you typed it in. You didn’t get the response of “I’m not sure how to answer that” but instead…

“That island? I’ve never heard of it…”

“Are you feeling alright? Who are you talking about? What friend?”

“You never left this island… We would have known about it…”

“I think you just had a dream… You never visited a place like that…”

It was like the island just stopped existing to them which you supposed it did because your friends save data was corrupted but surely they should remember something… Right?

It wasn’t until you asked the very last member that they sighed and told you something that sent a chill down your spine as the speakers spoke with a voice instead of the typical sound that it usually made when they spoke…

“Stop asking about that island… It never existed… Do you hear me? It never existed, your supposed friend never existed, you never went anywhere… Stop asking questions and go home… Get some rest… You clearly aren’t feeling well…”

Your hands were honestly shaking as you stared at the screen… It almost felt like the character was speaking to you directly, not your character but you like they had finally gotten tired of this…

Your blood ran cold when suddenly the character model looked up at the screen and you could feel cold eyes staring directly into your soul, it made you lean back and you could practically feel your heart stop

“Besides… Imu-sama is looking for you… You shouldn’t worry them so much… They care for you deeply…”

It was after that is when you yelped and shut off the power to your console effectively ending your play session, you threw the console away from you like it had caught fire and stared at it like it was a demon that just crawled up through your floorboards

Honestly you weren’t sure how long you sat there but when you finally moved, you put the console away. Unplugged so it wouldn’t charge and out of sight until you could figure out what to do with the damn thing

You tried to live your life for about a month after that, you told all of your friends exactly what you had seen when they asked to play games with you but they didn’t believe you. “Nice creepypasta!” they would say and “Come on, quit messing around!” was another

Even your friend who had gotten their save file corrupted didn’t seem to quite believe you like they did at least agree that your game was weird but didn’t believe the game was sentient and speaking to you

It wasn’t like you didn’t want to play games with them so after an entire month of being unable to play any games with your friends, you decided that you had to do something

You took the console from where you had put it one night and tried to eject the game from its slot but it wouldn’t come out so you decided on the next best thing besides just buying a new console, you went on your computer and looked up how to completely delete your save file

Chances are with how similar it was to animal crossing, the same rules must apply… Right? That had to be the case

So once you knew exactly how to do it, you booted up your console and took a deep breath to ready yourself before starting the game to completely delete your save and be rid of whatever was going on in there once and for all

It took a long time to load but once it did, your screen turned white and the console sparked in your hands causing you to drop it from surprise

The second that it collided with your lap, a bright was released and once it cleared. You felt so much different, the room that you were in was dark but you were laying on something soft regardless

Your clothes had even felt like they had changed so you opened your eyes and looked about, you saw the shape of a lamp in the room and flicked it on with a click only to immediately wish you hadn’t

You were in your in-game home sitting on the bed underneath the covers except it was different as the bed was bigger and Imu’s bed which would be on the opposite side of the room was gone

Of course you tried to wake yourself up but it wasn’t a dream, you were here for real and it was horrible

Considering the feeling of dread about Imu that you got when the NPC’s dragged you home from your friend’s island, you decided that you needed to find a way off of the island. Maybe you could head to the docks and input a random code to get away?

It was safe enough to say that you were panicking and desperate so you slipped out of bed and carefully walked downstairs, the house looked much different indicating that Imu had redecorated which made you uneasy

You snuck out of the house and ran to the docks as fast as your legs would carry you, you ran past about two of the old men villagers who attempted to stop you. Calling out your name when they saw you, your real name

Once you had made it to the docks, you were panting and out of breath. The NPC there looked shocked to see you as “You’re supposed to be in bed! Imu-sama told us you weren’t feeling well!”

Despite your attempts to demand to be taken off of the island and away from here, the NPC didn’t listen and kept refusing until “I think that you need some rest… You really aren’t feeling well… Don’t worry, we’ll get you home…”

When you tried to ask why they wouldn’t let you leave, they informed you that Imu was in charge of the island now and that they decided everything for it. Who left, who came, how it looked, what it was named, etc, etc

You didn’t need to worry about a single thing anymore as Imu would take care of absolutely everything allowing you to get better and relax! Besides they had been great while you were resting!

Upon returning you home, they stood in front of the door so you couldn’t leave before announcing that they returned you. Imu quickly appeared from one of the rooms and you couldn’t stop the feeling of dread that came over you when you saw them as they were far scarier in person

They dismissed the guards standing behind you and approached you, they took you by the arm with a cold hand and dragged you upstairs

They forced you to sit on the bed all the while remaining completely silent, they laid down next to you and held you close to them almost as if they were trying to cuddle you

The rest of your life would be spent in the game with Imu as despite your many, many escape attempts. None of them worked and when one managed to get you off the island, it wasn’t long before you found yourself being chased down by what reminded you of an Umi Bozu

Imu would force you to remain within the house usually in what you had come to find out was your now shared bed, no one was allowed to see you or speak to you

Not even the five old men living on the island as whenever Imu needed to meet with them, you were locked in the bedroom and forced to listen to them talk downstairs about things that you didn’t entirely understand

And no matter how much you screamed and pleaded to be let go, to please return to your normal life. Imu would simply stare at you like they had always done with the most response that they ever gave you was to get down to your level and look you directly in the eye

Eventually as time passed as well, you began to accept that this was your life. There was no escape from this game, this was your new home and this is where you were going to grow old and eventually die

But of course, this is a video game and no one ages inside of a video game… The years would pass by but you would never change, Imu would never change, the five old men would never change… The only thing that ever changed was the scenery…

The constant isolation and lack of change started to get to you and slowly you started believing… Maybe you were a video game character and maybe you truly weren’t feeling well so that’s why you believed otherwise

This was your home… Right? You had never lived in the real world that you remembered because this was the real world… This is where you belonged… With Imu…

The one who had been so nice and caring to you as they made absolutely sure that you would recover…

Yes… You were sick… And you had been so ungrateful to Imu…

The next time that Imu came to check on you, they were pleasantly surprised to see you in bed for once instead of trying to wander about…

They came over and sat on the edge of the bed to look at you, you looked back at them and an apology escaped your lips��

An apology for trying to leave them, an apology for not believing that this was the real world, an apology for having been so ungrateful to them, an apology for not realizing how unwell you truly were to believe that you were someone else

They actually reacted to this as they extended a hand that no longer felt cold yet oddly warm as it took yours, they gently lifted your hand and began to slide something onto your finger. It was a ring

You should be grateful you know… Imu forgave you and loves you…

It was after admiring the ring for a bit, the blacked out figure leaned in and pressed their lips onto yours in a kiss that you happily returned and when Imu pulled away, you heard them speak for the first time

“You are mine, my love…”

“I am yours…”

It was after that, that Imu held you close and rested with you on the bed… Meanwhile in the real world, you were slowly erased from existence…

All of your friends forgot about you, they didn’t remember a single thing about you let alone your name and every missing persons poster faded away into nothing

It was truly like you were never even a real person in the first place as everything about you vanished except for one thing… Your old console was left sitting on the floor of what used to be your home with the game cartridge disappearing to find its way into some other poor souls possession

You would never know this of course, you were completely under the impression that you were simply a person living your sweet and caring partner on a nice island where no one ever aged

You would never even entertain the thought that you were a real person stuck inside of a video game and if you did then Imu would shoot those ideas down as soon as they sprung up

And as the days passed by living with you as their spouse, Imu honestly knew that leaving that code for you to find was a good decision

(Couldn’t find any good gifs of Imu that weren’t really jittery or had heavy spoilers, sorry…)

i do imagine they take a while to reload though, as they felt like they went through a lifetime of experiences in the underground even if it was only [insert amount of time here because im not sure yet lol], plus they miss their family so much

they probably kept the phone they got from the underground hidden, and then they'll hear the call

one way or another (im being vague atm since i'm not too sure yet on this part), they'll all decide to reload

their "convo" with flowey before they reload will be interesting, considering omega flowey and just everything flowey has ever done HSAUFASF

OH ALSO, i think they'd reload before casita finishes being rebuilt because (in universe reason) they feel like casita being finished is the final nail to the coffin of them not going back for the friends they made in the underground, and (out of universe reason) they won't know they'd get their gifts back

now, reload happens, they're back in the underground once more, and, as flowey hinted, to alphys they go

them becoming wingmen and wingwomen for undyne and alphys so real <3

the true labs will be. well, probably traumatizing, not that everything happening in their journey hasn't been traumatizing already in some way oof

after all that, they'll reach the final reunion!! and battle too! thanks flowey 😭

i didn't mention it, but chara still being their narrator is interesting, but i'm not sure how that's gonna go just yet

same with asriel, but we know that fight's gonna happen one way or another, will have to see how things will work with these two

i think i'm gonna end it here because i'm starting to blank on several things AUSHFIUAHSF

the way i vaguely sped through the entire game omg, i'm pretty sure i missed something, and if i did, i'll just do more posts later down the road

anyway, yeah, those are some thoughts and vibes, and i'm not sure how right or accurate or making sense they are, but it is what it is

also, any suggestions for their soul colors/traits? the only one im completely sure on atm is luisa's which is the green soul/kindness, though i do have an idea for the rest already, but again, not fully sure on them yet

.50 Caliber 3D Platformer Post #1

Introduction:

Hey! I am working on a fourth project now. I hope to have this one done in the next couple of months, but we will see how that shakes out. Like many fellow indie devs, I was inspired by Siactro's scoping abilities on games like Toree3D and Kiwi64, and I wanted to make a small scope game of my own. I decided to pick up an idea I had a bit ago for a 3D platformer centered around a sniper rifle. I will be exclusively working on this game until its done or until I get burned out and need a break, in which case I will switch back to my regular work schedule on the other three projects for a bit. Do not worry about how this will effect the other projects, those ones are all p big scope, and I will be working on them until they are done or until I am dead no matter what.

Why the Fuck Would I Start a Fourth Project:

Credit Card Debt.

The Gist:

The plan for this game is that it is going to be a relatively small (about 4 levels or so) 3D platformer in which you take up contracts to kill various targets with you handy sniper rifle. The rifle will also mainly be used for traversal alongside your regular set of jumps and sideflips and all that good stuff. Aesthetically and thematically it is inspired by the likes of cruelty squad, the thing thing series, and madness combat, so I guess look forward to that if you are into y2k edgy flash era stuff and/or aggressive anti-capitalist satire. Also, .50 Cal snipers really just give me brain worms idk why. I like that it shoot big and have big reload. Mechanically, the game is mostly inspired by Mario 64 in that I want to have a varied moveset and open levels that allow the player to skip around the intended path in ways I could not even imagine. There is also going to be a little bit of hitman in there because you are eliminating targets rather than collecting stars, and those targets don't always have a straight forward method of elimination.

Conclusion:

It has been a hot second since I made a blog post. I've been p busy the last month or so, but I was working on midwest lost during the entirety of march. Next time I make a post about midwest lost I am gonna have a lot to say about it! It does make me a bit uneasy to be focusing on a single project away from the others, but I suppose that will hopefully motivate me to keep scope low and actually get this game out. Anyway, I hope u like 3D platformers because I'm gonna be posting about this one for a hot minute. Also, my friend Feverdream Johnny recently also got the Toree3D/Kiwi64 brainworms and has been working on his own 3D platformer called Obro's Odyssey. I have done a bit of playtesting for it, and it does the same evil things to my brain that neon white does, so check it out if you haven't. That is all 4 now, ty 4 reading and have a good day!

Which Project Sekai group do you think would sing each PokéMiku song?

VERY good question that made me actually sit down and listen to all of the Project Voltage songs lmao

This got long so everything past the first two are under the cut!

TL;DR: 4 L/N, 4 MMJ, 4 VBS, 4 WxS, 3 n25

Volt Tackle- I think for just Volt Tackle itself, L/N could rock it since parts of it remind me of songs like Teo or Hibana -Reloaded-. However, for the Jewel Remix, VBS would be the ones to cover it and you cannot change my mind on that. It’d be really cool if in-story this was one of L/N’s songs and VBS decided to remix and cover it

Electricity Forecast- The Viridian Forest theme (one of my favorite themes in all the games and not only because of Yellow) seals to me that this would be an n25 song. I really have no defense for it other than that but honestly tell me it doesn’t fit. Like I could see an argument for VBS but I think n25 would slay this

What Kind of Future- I could see MMJ doing some kind of collaboration with Pokemon and covering this song, like them kind of incorporating the “attacks” in their choreography or something like that. The beat also reminds me of some of their songs, like Newly Edgy Idols. I can definitely see this on an idol stage. I also think at least Minori would be amused by all of the puns XD

The Pokemon Inside My Heart- This one for sure gives WxS, especially on the gaming side of things. You know if this were a song in-universe Nene would cover it even on her own. It honestly reminds me of some of their more chill songs as a group, and honestly feels kind of reminiscent of Starry Sky Melody for some reason?? That might just be me

Battle! (Hatsune Miku)- VBS hands-down, are you kidding? I don’t even think I have to justify my choice here

Fly With You- It’s telling the story of Mudkip and Pelipper, so I think WxS would cover this just on the storytelling ground, y’know? I could see it being a show on Wonder Stage

I’m a Ghost Type- I was originally going to say VBS, but I honestly think that n25 could handle this song slightly better? I’m still kind of torn between them but I’m going to say final answer n25 because they do deserve some hard-hitting beats like this, plus n25 has done several syudou songs before that went well

GO! Team BIDOOF- I’m kind of caught between MMJ and WxS for this one, but I think I’m leaning towards WxS just because it’s giving Niccori and I love Niccori lol (edit a second after I wrote this: they’re produced by the same producer so that’s probably why I kept drawing parallels between the two lmaooooo)

Awoo- n25 is probably gonna end up getting all the spooky-themed songs tbh but I really do think they’d do well with this one lol

Encounter- I’m split between MMJ and L/N but this also reminds me of Torinoko City so I think I’m going to give it to MMJ. PARTY ROCK ETERNITY- Another where I’m between VBS and n25!! Ahhhhh I think for this one I’m going to go with VBS on this one. This is another one of my favorite Project Voltage songs now lol

Psychic Psychic- I want to say MMJ for this one and I have no idea why. I think it kind of reminds me of Melty Land Nightmare vibes?

Summary: It's Super Bowl Sunday, a recent breakup and the lack of football knowledge leads to unexpected romance Words: 2356 A/N: Just a quick little one shot involving our beloved teacher Mr. Ben...you can't tell me that Wing Bro and Mr Ben aren't the same person. Anyways, there isn't a lot of football talk in this. If you didn't watch the game, that's ok you can still follow the story and have fun with it. Two months, it had been two months since he had told me he loved me, to get me into bed, then break my heart. Telling me I wasn’t good enough, I was weak and worthless. I know I shouldn’t believe him. I had buried myself with work, putting in 50+ hour weeks. Anything to stay busy and not be reminded of his words. It was Sunday, laying on the Lazy-Boy in the most comfortable sweats and hoodie I had for as long as I can remember. Curling in to watch the latest horror movie with a bowl of popcorn. 

“Get up loser, we’re going to a party” Julie your best friend and roommate grabs your bowl of popcorn 

“Heeeeey, I don’t even like football. Let me just sit here and enjoy my movie. I’m gonna be so outta place” you reach for your bowl of popcorn 

“Mmmm but there’s wings…and you do love wings” she retorts putting the bowl of popcorn in the kitchen island 

“This is true, I do love wings” you nod your head and put your feet on the ground

It was Super Bowl Sunday and everyone you knew was having some kind of party. I’m really not that big of a football fan. I’d pretend to be interested, making Luke my dick of an ex happy by watching a game with him. I had no idea what two teams made it, and to be honest I didn’t really care. I thought the season ended weeks ago. My head hasn't been in the right place, and I stopped listening about the ‘home’ team when the only reason I cared wasn’t around. 

“There’s something on your bed, throw in on and we’re going to Russ’. It’s a small get together” she says as you walk by 

There’s a long sleeve yellow shirt, with a red jersey and the number 15 on the front and Mahomes on the back. She also left a red and yellow beanie next to it. It was 50° there was no need for the sleeves and beanie. I leave the yellow shirt and throw the red jersey over my head. A pair of black leggings and cute ankle boots. Grabbing the beanie I walk back towards the kitchen. 

“Do I really have to wear this?” I pull on the jersey. It’s uncomfortable and I am already regretting the decision 

“I know nothing about this team, or Mahomes. What if someone tries to talk to me?” I sigh watching Julieh put two bags of chips into a bag 

“That’s the best part of a Super Bowl party, no one talks. You talk about the game you get hushed because the game is on. You can’t talk during commercials because it’s Super Bowl commercials…and then half time it’s reload on food and watch the music act” she turns me handing me two large bowls of guac “you’ll be fine. And maybe there’s a cute guy there to help break your funk” 

“Thought you said there was no talking” you raise an eyebrow 

“Shut up…let’s roll” she moves towards the door grabbing her car keys wearing a white version of the jersey I’m wearing. Taking a deep breath and praying this works I follow her to the car.

She comes to a stop on the small porch before knocking on the door. She turns around to face me. My eyes looking down at the bowls to make sure I didn’t spill anything. She slides the bag she was carrying over her shoulder. Adjusting my hair, and sliding the beanie on top of my head, “stop…what are you doing?” I ask her annoyed 

“Smile,” she says and I give her the best fake smile I’ve grown accustomed to being a server “a real one…and try to have some fun ok?” I nod as she turns to the door 

A guy comes to the door, opening it excitedly yelling “the wings are….” Before stopping when he sees that it’s not the wings “Nevermind it’s just the girls” he sighs 

“Just the girls? Really Russ you know I can turn around and take this guac you specifically asked for and go back home” she shoves him 

“THE GIRLS ARE HERE…” he shouts with a bit more enthusiasm “thanks Cat Lady. You’re the best” he smiles giving her a hug 

Russ and Julie have known eachother since they were kids. They played hockey together in Minnesota and stuck by one another to high school and college. Inside there were a dozen or so people, everyone in a football jersey. I walked towards the kitchen to set down the bowls Julie had given me when you heard a laugh coming from the other room. It’s a deep contagious laugh that makes me smile and want to know what he’s laughing about. I turn the corner towards the sound of the laughing and find what could only be described as the most handsome man I’ve ever laid eyes on. I smile and watch him as he talks to some blonde women in a green jersey and another man in a white jersey. He catches me smiling at him, and grins. I look away quickly at being caught turning and running right into Russ and his large frame. 

“Shit…sorry” I say regaining my balance with the help of Russ 

“The TV and party are that way” he turns my body around and gently pushes me towards the handsome man who just caught me staring at him 

He looks up and takes a swig of his beer as I walk behind him to what conveniently was the only spot that was left open. “Shit” I say under my breath. Julie brings in two bags of chips and the guac she had made, setting them on the coffee table in front of all of us. He’s even more handsome this close. The angles of his jaw, his strong nose and golden skin have him looking like a Greek God. The worst part, the sound of his voice, it’s the kind that he could read the phone book and it would be interesting. 

Leaning forward and reaching for the bag of chips, his hand reaching for the same bag. Our hands brush, and I pull back quickly “sorry,” I say quietly 

“Oh no…no ladies first” he smiles, and holy shit that smile…

Reaching my hand into the bag and pulling out a few chips I turn the bag back towards him, “thank you”.  The conversation picking up about how long everyone thinks the National Anthem would take “well on average a country singer sings it about a minute and 40 seconds” I chime in and suddenly all eyes are on me “what?” 

“Wanna put money on it?” Russ smiles 

“Yeaaaaaaaah no. I’m good” 

“I’ll take that bet, under two minutes…what’d ya say Russ $50 bucks?” the handsome stranger reaches into his back pocket pulling out his wallet and throwing some money on the table 

“You sure you wanna do that Big Boy?” Russ chuckles, throwing some money on the table “First word to last word…” 

It was the last commercial break before the game was set to begin. I wandered to the kitchen trying to find something other than beer to drink. Finally, I found a bottle of water in the back of the fridge and the doorbell rang. Big Boy as Russ called him ran to the door just as I was rounding a corner running directly into him with a loud oof. His arms wrapped around me holding me up so I didn’t fall over. I look up into a beautiful pair of brown eyes shining down at me “whoa there…” he chuckles 

“Sorry…sorry” I duck my head down. Thanking him I walk quickly back to the living room trying to hide my rosy cheeks from him. Julie quickly sending me a text as I sat down

Jules: He’s cute…and single. Stop being weird. Talk to him 

I read, shaking my head. Smiling to myself with my response you said no talking. You could see her eye roll at your text. 

“The wings are here!” You hear from the front door, and he walks back in with three large buckets of wings 

Setting the buckets down in the middle of the table and settling back on the couch just as the singer was to begin the National Anthem. He pulls out his phone and opens up a stopwatch, clicking the start button as soon as he belts out the first notes. 

“Ha two minutes on the dot” he holds up his phone “I’ll be taking this…thank you very much” 

He winks at me and I swear my heart stopped for a moment. Sliding the money into his wallet and grabbing a plate. Piling a few of each sun flavor onto his plate. I grab a few of the wings closer to me, a Caribbean Jerk flavor. As the game begins the conversations begin to die down. A few “oooooh” and “what a pass” the first possession of the game resulting in a touchdown for Russ’ team. 

The trash talking was short lived by Russ and the game is quickly tied. The few people in red shirts giving Russ a hard time for getting excited so early in the game. I tried to focus on the game as much as I could, but my eyes kept drifting towards the man sitting near me. Him moving closer and closer to the edge of the seat. The wings all but devoured by the second quarter, beer bottles scattered among the table. 

I was more than excited when half time had started, the game tied. The group of older men talking through some of the plays while the stage got set up, I stood up and ran to the bathroom. I didn’t want to miss a moment of the real reason I was actually there.  After washing my hands I stood in front of the mirror, trying to give myself a pep talk to actually say something to the handsome guy.  “Ok, you can do this.  He’s just a guy, you can totally say hi…stop being weird” I sigh to myself. 

Looking down at my phone while I walk back to the group, googling some kind of information about the team and the game so I can sound smart, I can hear; “anyone else want anything?” right before I get hit against the wall.  A pair of large warm hands grabbing my waist, looking up I see him again

“You know, if we are gonna keep running into each other like this, I should at least know your name.” He chuckles, but still holding on to my waist “I’m Ben”

“Hi Ben,” and I told him my name.  This close, I swear I know him from somewhere. Russ yelling from down the hall that its starting and telling Ben to hurry up with the beers. I smile at him, and watch as he runs to the fridge grabbing a handful of beers and making his way back to the group.

Singing and dancing in your chair to every hit song, the performance was over all too quickly and talk of the game started again. Russ’ team, dominating most of the quarter, Ben leaning back in his chair with the look of defeat much like the other fans in red. Russ looking gleeful and looking at Ben, “50 bucks, Eagles win the whole thing…Ben wanna take that bet?”

I was a betting person, but I also was doing some research while in the bathroom…odds making. So when Ben agreed with a ’double or nothing Taylor’ I felt the need to chime in and let Ben know exactly what he was getting into.  “The team leading into the third quarter have a 77.3% chance of winning the whole thing” 

“So you’re saying there's a chance” Ben looks at you

“A small chance, but yes mathematically speaking. There is a chance” 

The fourth started, with a touch down from Ben’s team to tie the game.  Everyone cheers, and Ben looks at me giving me a high five. His hand lingers for a brief moment and I swear there was a spark between us.  He pulls his hand back, watching as the kicker scored an extra point.giving the team the lead for the first time. 

Russ’ team didn’t score this time when they had the ball and had to give it back, giving Ben’s team another chance to score, and they did, giving them the lead once again. Ben gives you a huge smile, with just minutes left in the game Russ’ boys tie it up once again. Everyone stands and Russ is covering his face with his hands, you are standing shoulder to shoulder next to Ben and you feel his nervous excitement.  A penalty review pauses the game, causing an argument to start on rather or the call should stand or not. When the ref makes his final call of holding Russ disagrees with disgust while Ben does a little fist bump knowing that this could be the play that gives him the win and the money. 

With just seconds left in the game, the team kicks a field goal giving them a three point lead. Ben draps his arm over myshoulder when Russ' team gets the ball and throws a Hail Mary down the field when the clock hits zero. The ball hits the ground and Ben wraps his arms around me, giving me a hug and spinning me around with excitement. His hands linger, his eyes locking with mine. For a moment I think he is going to lean down and kiss me and someone claps him on the shoulder and his attention drifts towards them high-fiving them and grabbing the money from the table. “Thanks for the money Russ” he grins before looking back at me

He nods his head towards the kitchen, a hint for me to follow. I do “so, uhm…I think I owe someone a dinner. After all you did help with this” he smiles fanning the money “would you, like to go on a date with me?”

So many surprise encounters and I'm just trying to finish my massive list of sidequests.

Anyways, long story short I freed all but one of the hostages- that one was killed on his way running out by the enemies. Astra and Wyll were also... blown up, because Astra died and Wyll wouldn't have made it out. Omeluum got Karlach out just in time. Astarion was the first to reach the ladder.

All the baddies decided they were gonna gang up on my girl. T_T It was very rude of them. Poor Karlach had to do all the lockpicking. I had to keep reloading so she could roll natural twenties because she needed a 25. RIP. I probably could have restarted and sent Astarion that way instead, but, well, it's fine.

Everything's fine.

Poor Astarion. I find it absolutely hilarious that the game put him in charge since Astra was out of commission. Just, oh, what's that? Your wife died? Your turn to hold the braincell, then!

Imagine him getting up to the submarine and waiting for everyone to hurry up, and Karlach and Omeluum appearing- but Astra and Wyll are nowhere to be seen, and Karlach is like, "I tried to help her, but the bastards shot her back down! Before I could try to carry her and Wyll, squiddie over here teleported me."

Omeluum: "A thank you for saving your life would have sufficed..."

And the prison is already exploding so Astarion has no choice but to maneuver the submarine to safety.

PERSONA 3: RELOAD (LIVE RAMBLES)

to pre-face, i’ve played portable (like ten years ago), royal and i’m like five hours into golden so not my first rodeo with atlus or at least a version of persona three. i’ve also played dancing in starlight but i suck at it on a catastrophic level.

atlus said gay rights, unless of course you’re ren, yusuke or akechi.

after recently re-beating royal, it’s so nice not to be treated as satan’s spawn from the get-go for the crime of being a green flag.

just beat kingdom hearts three, which means i’ve played two games with cyborg actors back-to back.

pharos really said, “boo, bitch” also he’s so extra to teleport like a five-centimetre difference.

“aria of the soul” is honestly my favourite persona track

atlus have some big boots to fill with the fem!mc being shafted as second time in a row. we better get a fem!mc for persona six.

even with playing p3p, this so accurate i could cry but then the reaper will get me so i’ll just keep hysterically running like the good little tank i am.

junpei is already grating on me again, like mid-game ryuji levels but i know i just have to stick with it.

“mass destruction” is no “take over”, “life will change” or “a way of life” but it’s growing on me again, always loved the intro but not a fan of the rap.

akihiko, shinjiro and kotone are the ultimate trio, up there with the royal trio + ren, ann and ryuji.

i’m not gonna shut up about this so be warned but without kotone you loose one of the most devastating realisations post-game that akihiko looses his sister, his best friend and his girlfriend.

also, shinjiro’s arc on kotone and loosing the guy she loves (ending dependant) is completely lost because you’ve got very surface level relationships with him and akihiko as makoto.

whilst we’re on the topic of p3p is it not kinda hilarious that makoto and elizabeth’s voice actors are married in real life as are kotone and theo’s and to go even deeper, makoto + kotone play peter parker and mary-jane. (their partners are also in that game with them too.)

i went into reload with an open mind, like “i played a little as yu, bodied as ren. how bad could playing as another dude be?” but i miss my bby kotone. fuck you atlus! (i think the issue is more, the lord giveth and the atlus taketh). i’m playing on console, so no mod for me!

i see myself in kotone a lot, in the way she handles her depression and honestly both in my teenage years and in my early twenties. that's why i'm so bitter because it's not a take on depression we see often.

i saw someone once headcanon fanart akihiko + and kotone as makoto and sae’s parents (obviously the timelines don’t match since mako is already ten during persona 3 but it was just too cute. like aki’s obsession with the colour red, kotone being the embodiment of that and obviously the redness of p5).

this is maybe just because i've never been the biggest fan of persona fusing but royal's confidants being linked to combat perks was a great addition, even if people argued it was broken and made the game too easy (especially because you could make royal your bitch on merciless if you really knew what you were doing). but as far as i'm concerned, not every game has to rip you a new arsehole, like go play smt if persona is a cake-walk. also, a lot of this is coming from folk who knew what they were doing, newbies and people going in blind (like me) didn't. i fucked up so bad i missed out on the third semester. also, you can't tell me playing the phantom thieves like they were gods literally wasn't insanely fun.

for all the influence royal had on this, i’m so pissed party levelling isn’t one of them and i know junpei is gonna be left behind but it feels redundant to have him and akihiko at this point in the game.

yukari is still forever best-girl with korumaru as best-boy.

so far, mitsuru has the best theurgy animation.

feel like you should’ve been able to beat the game and get access to kotone’s storyline.

people, men. want an excuse to hate kotone so bad they will never let go of the ken route that, one. atlus put there, not the characters fault take your grievances up with them like the rest of us. two, people don’t do that route because of that, the most popular kotone routes are aki and shinji. three, atlus would’ve likely removed / changed it for reload. four, and to play devil’s advocate, if this is wrong (which it is.), what kamoshida did was wrong, but kawakami is a-okay? like get a new joke.

i’ve not heard everyone’s new va’s yet properly in action but from what i have, for the most part i really like ‘em. shinjiro, akihiko and yukari aren’t super abrasive to me (even with aki and shinji’s being so different i still think they’re excellent) so i don’t mind them. aigis, mitsuru, fuuka, ken and jumpei benefit the most. especially junpei and aigis (cause they deserve better than creeps and trump fans because in this house, we respect women.) i also never loved yuri as makoto either. mitsuru now has the voice i always envisioned her having and fuuka isn’t super flat anymore.

i think i’ve fucked romancing yukari cause my stank stat was only at five the one time i saw her available in the classroom and this vacation is never ending.

i’ve always thought this, but i go back and fourth between these two casts. there’s a lot more progression and interpersonal stuff between these guys that are allowed to evolve so i prefer sees as a unit but individually, i prefer more of the phantom thieves. like futaba, ann, makoto and ren being my favourite male protagonist but, two’s are significantly better written.

the music in the final month is so pretty and because i’m quite violently ill and don’t know what’s wrong i genuinely thought the desaturation was my eyes.

again, koromaru has the best social link and i just wanna cry whenever i think about everyone moving on and leaving him behind.

i didn’t really feel much for makoto, not that i felt that much more for ren the first time round, so that might be the anime’s shot.

the end of the game was a bit of a slog. maybe because i knew what happened but those last two full moons, ugh.

closing thoughts, prefer royal as a game, music was great, fantastic new cast, cried a little in the final scene with aigis, after royal tartarus is just not as fun because of mementos, nyx was not a difficult final boss? i had more of a challenge with both maruki and yaldabaoth. primary party was the severely nerfed aki, koro and the broken stinkari (seriously, 11sp for the entire party to be fully healed?). i kinda knew they don’t really get taken from you from an extended period so i put the most into them at got the to level 98, 97 and 89. no plans to play the answer anytime soon (golden is next). i miss kotoneeee. best scene in the entire game is this or this.

not a bad way to spend ninety-four hours even if i didn’t end it with akihiko’s gassy ass on kotone’s deathbed.

TODAY WAS THE WORST DAY OF MY FUCKING LIFE!!!!! OHHH MY GOD. IM SO MAD. ok. im exaggerating but. ill get to that. so lets just go through the first couple things that happened. heres the squad. say hi intrepid heroes

so i talked to zevlor and agreed to find the goblin leader. on my way to the goblin camp i meet these people who talk about the absolute and call me a true soul after their brother dies lol.

then they say theyre looking for a survivor from the ship crash, i say i am one and..

they... wanna kill me...??? i really didnt want to but i was already in the fight so im like. whatever. sure man. so i cooked the shit out of them, duh. im curious about what their deal was though... also i had the option to ask if they knew about halsin the healer and i didnt ask which sucks cus i should have done that first also im... starting to catch on to what astarion is. if im assuming correctly. cus earlier he talked about how much he looooves rare ass meat thats "dripping" with blood and that was weird as a random comment but...

anyways. then i meet this dog by his dead owner. befriend him. all good.

but then. i use speak to animals (with wyll) and talk to the dog. and wanting to help i yell at the corpse. because im like. but yeah i went into the crypt, looted some stuff and killed a couple people. nothing bad happened in the first room and i did not have to reload.

oh i grew up playing FES & p3p!!!! i would love to go off

i won't lie, persona 3 is an extremely nostalgic and comforting game for me, so i was honestly terrified about a lot of p3r's changes. i remember reading articles months before the game came out about how all of the voice actors for SEES were new and how all of the tracks were gonna be remixed and i was legitimately terrified. i grew up with the original cast and got so attached to them/their careers that i looked up other media that they were in. to this day they are voice actors i can recognize and name right away!

the original soundtrack for p3 is so iconic too and i thought it'd lose its charm when it got remixed, but boy, was i wrong. the new battle theme (it's going down now), the lyrical changes to burn my dread - last battle, even the exam music and changing seasons. UGH, changing seasons has to be my absolute favorite of all of them... adding lyrics to the most catchy part is the best thing they could have done.

i will say (and this might be nostalgia talking), i am still really sad that yumi kawamura got replaced as the singer for nearly every song. i think the main songs that mess with me are the ones where her iconic vocals are replaced ("deep mentality" Specifically doesn't sound right with the new vocals imo), but on the whole, i like a ton of the new songs and the remixes.

onto things that aren't surface-level changes, lmao-

i absolutely adore the screentime they added for strega. they played a part in persona 3, but they were always in the background. chidori got 90% of the screentime. seeing takaya have a crisis over his feelings for the protag & jin being super codependent with takaya was SO good. hearing more about their reasoning and their backstory being more fleshed out ugh;;; the bit with the prototype evoker fucked me up especially. and seeing takaya eventually resort to using an evoker in his boss fight? HURTS

(aigis vc) RYOJI RYOJI RYOJI, DEATH DEATH DEATH. the original game (while playing as the male protagonist, at least) did not focus on the relationship between him and the protag, like...at all. which is so funny because they made it a highlight in the manga AND the movie! i've always loved ryoji to bits, but i've also had to rely a lot on the femc's route and the movie to think about how they could have bonded in the original :( thank god reload gave my boy more content because he NEEDED it. ryoji's connection to the protagonist should really be emphasized in every piece of media, and they FINALLY did it. also just about every day before i reached november, i would rant to my husband about how "there needs to be more ryoji/protag content. it doesn't HAVE to be on the level of "i'd love you even if you were a boy" but i need SOMETHING." and then atlus smacked me with "i want to be something more" and i LOST IT. THEY DID THE THING. atlus embracing the romantic tension between them MY BELOVED. (in case it isn't obvious, ryomina is my favorite ship)

SHINJIRO. the first time i played persona 3, i really didn't care for him (i've never liked characters who are stand-offish and constantly push people away without apparent reason). it was only after i realized the greater backstory that i learned to appreciate and sympathize with his character, and imo, one of p3r's greatest additions was the ability to interact with shinjiro and ken before shit goes down. shinjiro's plotline where you try to convince him to go back to school is devastating, especially when (spoilers) you find a re-enrollment form filled out in his room. absolutely fucking HEARTBREAKING. i already cried during his death (way more than i did in the original game, which is kinda crazy), but damn, they got tears out of me AGAIN with that one. i also noticed that there's a lot more foreshadowing and it is SO effective. i already went off about this on my shinjiro blog, but damn, they fucking nailed it with him.

FRIENDSHIP ROUTES!!! i can't tell you how frustrating it was trying to balance social links between all of the girls. it made me lean more into focusing on yukari (best girl) and nobody else lmao. one of the points of persona 3 was that social links were near-impossible to complete, and they really realized that goal with the girls imo. however!! getting to see the protagonist opt for friendships is really sweet. i love seeing a good rejection where neither party holds a grudge or feels humiliated. it's a really nice touch, especially because i've always wanted to see how friendships would pan out between the mc and the Gorls.

general quality of life changes & the addition of theurgy. i love that theurgy had more depth to it than just a "super move;" looking at the personality conditions is so nice and adds more to the characters than they already had. seeing that shinjiro's resolve deepens when his hp is less than half made me so :'))))

those are big things i love about p3r's changes. aside from the protag not being able to change weapons (my favorite part of original p3), i think the biggest complaint i have is that they left out the answer (p3p has been ported to modern consoles, so you can still experience the femc's route, but the answer is ONLY on ps2 to this day), and even then, i've read that they're planning to add it as dlc.

i've said this before and i'll say it again: i know people have gripes with the answer, but i absolutely adore it. it's the most realistic portrayal of grief among the dorm, which hits differently for EVERYONE. every single change to their personalities makes sense, especially taking their reliance on the protagonist into account. it's made so much more obvious in p3r (which i love), but everyone cares deeply about the protagonist. losing him is a devastating blow. and then aigis gaining his power? yukari is SO justified for being distraught and jealous. that's the realest shit i've ever seen.

also the fights between them because they can't decide whether to go to the past or look to the future...the entirety of the answer is heartbreaking because it hits so hard. yukari, who (aside from aigis) was hit the hardest by losing the protag, obviously wants to go to the past, back to a time when he was alive. the others either want to compromise or move on. the answer is about accepting life's hardships and finding a way to move on and that's beautiful. it's always hit so hard for me.

that's not even delving into metis and aigis UGH... i could go off about the answer forever.

as for p3p-

i played p3p nearly every day when i was in middle / high school. i'd bring my psp to school and play it religiously. i still remember blasting "heartful cry" on my ipod and playing p3p on the bus, lmao.

it's not my favorite iteration of persona 3 now (p3p was good for travel + when i was in school and needed something to get me through the day), but i do have a soft spot for how much effort was put into the femc's route. i will say that i'm not as devastated as a good chunk of the fandom that the femc isn't in p3r or even p3d, but i do love her character and i hope she's also eventually added as dlc (if they're gonna add the answer, then why not add femc again?). i'm really glad she was included in pq2 though, ESPECIALLY because there were so many validating twin moments between her and the male protagonist :')))

i will say, as a final note, that p3r REALLY nailed the feeling of original p3, but i think it made me way more emotional with how it was executed. i've PLAYED the game a million times! i knew every plot detail, i knew exactly how the game would play out (aside from the new additions), and i STILL sobbed several times by the end of the game. i've said this to my husband, but p3r was so well-executed that i felt like i was playing the original game for the first time!! and as someone who has experienced the game MANY times, that's such an incredible feat. i adore the remake. i'm so glad that none of my initial fears were warranted.

hhh first off i had a idea from all the worldbuilding questions recently and basically i wanted to take that one stream george did (i think it was his ice bath stream?) where he did a prank call to tommy and everyone was yelling at him because he was doing WAY too good a job at acting genuine and put it into this universe. except it isn't really a prank call,, basically tommy and quackity sneak off and steal boss's card & phone while he's not there and and persuade george into calling the companies that specialize in tiny versions of their products specifically for the park and ordering just a TON of things,,,, they get in SO much trouble for that LMAOOO

anyway tubbo one time got his hands on bees during the summer, got on friendship level with them (somehow he managed to just..not get stung?) and brought one into benchtrio's shared home-esque thingy (idk what to call it). tommy was PISSED so he decided to bring in a spider to even the score out. ranboo got so close to moving out :')

ranboo and tubbo unofficially got married one time when a kid decided that the two of them were just perfect for fill-in bride and groom dolls

quackity and ranboo are the kinds of people to look at a lost phone and ask "is anyone gonna take that?" and not wait for an answer. hc that they stole a phone and instead of returning it to customer service, they tried all the combinations they could before it got locked. for three years.

the staff members just constantly steal things! and they have possibly one of the best excuses ever, "i'm borrowing it!" like it's on-theme for them. they can just say they're working and putting on a show when they get caught (although they do eventually have to return it upon the guests' request :()

during the whole protestor fiasco, that was one of the rare times that boss got stuff for the staff. from some website (idk which i didn't think that far) he orders tiny earbuds for everyone bc the group has continued into the night before. and the worst thing about them is they will NOT listen to the workers. whenever someone tries to explain that technically they can leave whenever they want, they just think they're being forced to say that. so it's a whooooole long process before the water-balloon thing eventually happens and scares them off for a bit.

i'm kinda debating having dream live in florida the first time he visits the park because like i had a hc that their sleep schedules are synced like how they had it irl for a bit,, but i realized that wouldn't really work if they were in the same area. so maybe dream lives in florida, goes to england for a vacation, goes to the park, meets george, wants to go back and when he does brings sap to meet george, and then they eventually move there. so george and dream could have matching sleep schedules in the time when dream doesn't live there and it pissed everyone off to have george be awake at 5 am on the phone with dream 😭

this isn't specific to the park and is in fact completely random but i'm thinking like having wil use tommy as a playing piece when he's playing a board game like monopoly or smth LMAO, maybe the same for phil & tech with kristin & tubbo/quackity,,, idk it is so random but it just popped into my head dsfjfsj'

i want the protestor fiasco to feel like a specific community episode (basic crisis room decorum) where super early in the morning they all have to meet at the school to discuss something that could like damage the reputation of their school and the vibes of it are just so bunker-esque like they were super dramatic and there were whiteboards all over the place with deep lighting,, i want it to feel very dramatic like that lmao---like they send out groups to borrow food meanwhile some of the team sticks back to build the water balloon catapult and map designs for it or designs for other things to help them. they have phones up on the wall like a messaging board between boss n others LMAOOOO it's a whole operation and i LOVE thinking of the vibes for it KGDFS

on the days where wil takes tommy, clingy, benchtrio, etc. home for some sleepover-esque thingy he always ends up having to wake up at the most ridiculous hours to take tommy to work. so i present the idea of them bringing an rc car to wil's place so tommy can just drive on the sidewalk to work in the morning LMAO

hmm now i ran out of my note ideas so i gotta scrape the walls of my brain to think of some stuff ajdgjfd hmmmmm i wonder if any normal borrower(s) would come to the park, like just to visit with a human to see how accurate they got it, just for fun :0

hmm .. i love writing little interactions .. little twitches of movement between dialogue ! even if the dialogue itself isn't the best .. it's important to me that the reader knows, say, the character twists his hands in his lap; his eyesight unfocuses; or how his fingers scrabble against the table - the kind of motions you don't usually think about ! but i always have so much trouble coming back to a fic to write more of it ... everything has to be done in 1-2 sessions or there's a 90% chance it'll never get posted >_< it's why i only post, like, 1500 word oneshots :P

Again, I expected that though, we did just start the game after all. If you’re wondering why my time’s so high already (over an hour), it’s due to me making these screenshots and writing up my commentary. I should really just do the screenshots and just write little notes to be filled in with real commentary later, but I dunno- I worry I’ll forget what I really wanted to say if I wait like that.

Regardless…look at those numbers where the Badges will (I think) go. One of the things I remember learning about this game is that it does stuff to prevent players from overleveling their Pokémon before a certain Gym- those numbers must be the maximum level caps for the Gyms. It’s nice that the developers put those there for easy reference!

Also- “Opal Ward”? With that and the “Lower Peridot Ward” thing from earlier, I’m certain that’s a location in Reborn City- do they make the Trainer Cards there, hence the emblem? Is the Pokémon League, with the Elite Four and Champion, located there? It’s interesting worldbuilding they’re doing here, I’ll say that much, and I do like it.

But anyways, is there anything in our Bag?

(And yes, I looked at the other tabs too, they also had nothing. Again, to be expected right at the start of the game.)

I also changed the text box and menu borders, we’ll go with this for now and I’ll change it again if I find I don’t like it.

Anyways, that’s enough for right now. I know I just wrote about how I worry about writing notes vs. writing my raw thoughts as they happen, but that whole intro was probably supposed to be like- ten minutes tops, and yet it took me over an hour doing it the way I’m doing now, so I may need to find a way to streamline things after all so I don’t take ten years to play through this whole game. I must reiterate- first time ever doing a screenshot Let’s Play, I’m still figuring stuff out, maybe a little scuffed.

But that doesn’t matter! Because next time, we’ll find this other Trainer, we’ll get our starter, and then we’ll REALLY be set to start our grand revenge quest adventure! I recently finished p5r and I loved it! I ended up romancing Makoto, and I absolutely hated the big bang palace (I can't remember his name rn). The floating puzzles and the boss fight took me so many tries, nothing else was that hard! Have you played Royal or just the base game? I liked how they extended it, and I liked kasumi despite her feeling very forced as a love interest

I sunk over 100 hours in the game and it is one of my favorite games now

Makoto is so underappreciated but I love her arc as a character. the okumura palace sucksss you're so right for that, which is a shame because I love the theme and concept (even if it feels the most like cheesy ig?). It coming right after Futaba's and right before Sae's palaces, two of if not the best palaces in the game, absolutely does Not help. I played Royal but am actually going back and playing og P5 right now to see differences/hear Tae Takemi's original voice (I have a major soft spot for Kirsten Potter lmao Mara Sov love of my life <3).

P5 is easily a game of all time for me and I'm so happy you loved it! do you think you'll try P3 Reload? early reviews say it's gonna be very Royal-like and I intend to try it out!! I also very much recommend P5 Strikers, it's a direct sequel and despite very different gameplay the story is ooohh mhm mhm Very Good
