Note
2, 5, 6, 16(i'm needy too), 24, 25
2. what’s your feel-good movie?
The Court Jester (1955) - an absolutely hilarious old musical: it’s got comedy, suspense, romance. It’s got Danny Kaye, Angela Lansbury, and so many incredibly quotable lines. If people love the Princess Bride, it’s like that but BETTER
5. who do you feel most you around?
Myself My old high school friends, and one in particular who was the first person I came out to and is an absolute legend
6. say three nice things about yourself (three physical and three non-physical)
I thought the point was for you to say nice things about me when I’m needy 😋
Physical:
I love my hair and the way it naturally falls into wild curls
I love the beauty spot by my eye
I love my hands
Non-Physical:
I love my sense of humour
I love my writing style
I love my resilience
16. compliment the person who sent you this number.
I’m very glad you asked for this because now you can’t try and brush it off (I mean, you probably will, but still)
AC, you are someone that I makes me feel better in so many ways. I can rant to you about things, I can listen to your stuff and try and help (which also helps me), your comments on my fics are just so beautifully detailed and observant and heartfelt and inspire me to keep writing. You are so resilient and kind in the face of everything, and your no-nonsense approach keeps me grounded and makes me strong.
24. what’s something you do to de-stress?
Oh gosh, so many things! Just this evening, I’ve been for a walk, and now I’m going to go have a bath, eat some cookie dough ice cream and listen to some relaxing Disney lullabies 😁
25. what’s the best personal gift someone could give you (playlist, homemade card, etc.)
I am a sucker for anything that’s ‘saw this and thought of you’ that shows just how well someone understands me, so someone making me a mixed tape would blow my mind, or any kind of personalised gift (I’ve received a little leather key-ring with my initials, and a brass stamp with my name engraved in Urdu, that one could use to emboss a seal if one had wax)

What to do when school is over and school is basically your life so you really don’t know what to do with free time 101
- Sleep for a week (not really, but it rhymed)
- Meet up with friends.
- Read everything you told yourself you’d read when you had time
- Learn new skills you said you would (I’m looking at you, calligraphy pens, Chinese book, sealing wax stamp kit and vegan recipe folder)
- Relax. Take a bath (or shower if you are sad person like me who doesn’t have a bath [or just y’know, you don’t like baths]). Light up some candles. Do a face mask. Drink tea. Live life.
- Make a playlist for EVERY OCCASION! (I love making playlists, even though they are just different combinations of the few songs I’m listening at the moment)
- Watch the movies/series you said you’d watch when you have time. You have time now. ...unless you have a summer job. Suckers!*
*I am masking my disappointment of not getting a job by humor, don't be offended. I am jealous of you
- GET READDY FOR GOT SEASON 7
- Paint some paintings
- Hydrate (basic? yes. Important? also yes. Do Follow this advice? hell no because I’m a shitty person, nice to meet you)
- Try some new recipes (I’m trying to learn to cook vegan food ‘cause I’m slowly transforming from vegetarian to vegan. If you know any good vegan recipes, PLS send them to me. I’ll be forever grateful!!)
- Rewatch your favourite series/movies because duhh
- Remind yourself you don’t always need to be doing something, going somewhere or have plans to do something to have a great summer. You can just hang out all summer and still have great time <3
- Cry because life
- Start a studyblr blog, because you’ve wanted to do it for long and now it would be a good time to start so you’ll have some practise and a blog ready for  when school eventually starts (me :))
- Make lists ;D
- Buy plants. They are beautiful and fresh. If you are as good as gardener as I am, stick to cactuses. They won’t die on you as easily
- Start a bullet journal, because they’re useful as hell
- READ BOOKS. I said that already, but now I’ll have an opportunity to recommend stuff: Sapiens: a brief history of humankind by Yuval Noah Harari, The Passage by Justin Cronin, Holding Up The Universe by Jennifer Niven and Invisible Planets by Ken Liu
- Buy fairy lights. Put them everywhere. Everywhere looks pretty now.
- Figure out your MBTI personality type, because yes.
- Watch some documentaries. They are really interesting (My favourite is Cosmos: The Spacetime Odyssey. BONUS POINTS: It’s on Netflix and there’s Neil deGrasse Tyson)
- Doodle
- Listen to music. Recommendations (even tho my music taste might be shit): Way Down We Go by Kaleo (my favourite song rn!), “Sorry” and “Lie” by Halsey (they are 2 different songs, bit depressing but good), I Found by Amber Run, The Night We Met by Lord Huron, anything from Harry Styles and Whatever It Takes by Imagine Dragons.
- Make damn long lists, it seems
- Do every damn quiz from Buzzfeed because you are bored to death (meee)
- When you are bored to death: maybe call a friend instead of doing all the Buzzfeed quizzes there are?? weirdo
- Pretend to be funny on Tumblr
- Now this list is just “Stupid Thing I Do During Summer Because I’m Bored Out Of My MInd” (oh god, why am I trying to be funny, pls stop me)
- help me
- :)

PAPER MACHINE MUSIC
Ex-Viva Stereo guitarist Rob McKinlay spoke to us about his amazing new project “Paper Machine Music” and his debut release “Glimpse”
Tumblr media
GLIMPSE, YOUR FIRST SOLO ALBUM, TELL US ABOUT HOW THIS CAME TOGETHER?
I used to be in a band called Viva Stereo from 2002 – 2012, releasing four albums on our own Much Better Records label and gigged about the UK for most of those years. But life started 'getting in the way' with kids and partners and jobs and this led to 3 of the four of us moving away from Glasgow. At the end we were Glasgow, Edinburgh, Fort William and Leicester and it just became harder and harder to get together and write anything new. I've always written stuff in my own house on my own, and had some form of recording ability. Back in the day it was a 4 track porta studio with a C90 cassette. Then I made a move onto PC and Pro_Tools. Anyway, when the VS started to slowly fracture I kept recording my own stuff. Then three of us kept on as Gravity Waves with me moving onto drums. Aye, and that band never quite took off so I kept recording in my house up in Fort William and coming down to the Central belt less and less. And then around 2015 I realised that what I really wanted to do was a solo record as I had started to collect a bunch of tunes that I was getting precious about.
COULD YOU DESCRIBE THE MUSIC MAKING PROCESS?
As I have four kids the process now if a bit more rushed than it used to be! Back in my carefree days I could spend 4-6hrs a night 3-5 nights a week in my little studio tinkering, re-recording and remixing. I could spend 2-3 hrs just trying to get the right guitar tone or effect. Or play the same part with different guitars and set ups. But now, although I play a lot around the house, grabbing 20 minutes here and there to go over ideas, when it comes to recording it is a very quick and efficient process now. I'll know that I have a free weekend day coming up in two weeks time and then I will start to plan what I am going to record. And on the day its hit record and do 3 or 4 takes of each part and then move on. Cause I will record drums as well, or maybe a drum machine. Then during the next couple of weeks I'll bounce it down and stick it on my mp3 player and listen to it whilst I'm out with the dog. Thinking of bass lines, or other guitar parts. Then one night of a week i'll disappear into the studio whilst the kids are getting ready for bed and 'make a noise' as I call it for an hr and try some things out. The kids get bored hearing the same 30 part of a tune on a loop but hey, what are you going to do! And then in a couple of weeks time I'l try and grab another free weekend day and record what I have been thinking/playing and see if that works. And vocal wise I'll either start with an idea and build around it or get most of the music done and then try and get a melody later. Some tunes are harder than others/ Like 'the Iron Heel' with Paul Tierney from lonely Tourist. I had the tune pretty mush finished but I couldn't come up with a melody/words that I thought were any good so I farmed it out to him. And to Paul’s credit he turned it round and gave me my finished song in 3 wks!
YOU RECORDED 4 ALBUMS WITH VIVA STEREO, HOW DID THIS PROCESS DIFFER/COMPARE?
Si the VS albums were mostly recorded in Studios. Either Chem19 or the Diving Bell. These were done in concentrated bursts where we would do a fri-sun and know 90% of what we were going to record before we went in. The last album was done over about 20 days recording over 12 months. This Paper Machine Music album was 3yrs but with thinking/writing/recording/mixing/ tweaking and listening done almost continually! With PMM I did make it down to Chem19 for 1 day, to record drums with Gavin Brown (Onthefly) as I felt a couple of tunes needed a different feel. And a better drummer! I also got Derek O'Neill to play some keys/organ for me again to add something a little different. Derek also engineered and mixed the whole album for me at his 'Living Room' studio. Derek mixed the last Viva Stereo album, Endure the Dark, and I really enjoy working with him and totally trust his ear.
PAPER MACHINE MUSIC, WHERE DID THE NAME COME FROM?
The name came from mis-reading a translation of one of the first sound recording pieces of equipment invented. It was french and and from the late 1890's and they recorded onto paper. This was even before wax cylinders. I think the true translation is 'machine music on paper...'but I mis remembered it and Paper Machine Music came about. There is also an album by Lou Reed that is 45 minutes of feedback and drones call 'Metal machine Music'. I have never heard it but I always liked the shear 'fuck you-ness' of that sentiment.
YOU COLLABORATED WITH KING CREOSOTE & LONELY TOURIST ON GLIMPSE, WHO ELSE WOULD YOU LIKE TO COLLABORATE WITH?
There is a alt-country singer that I love called Courtney Tidwell who released two albums about 10 yrs ago. And then she had one album with Kurt Wagner from Lamchop, and then nothing... I have tried to find here on twitter so I can sheepishly 'approach' her and see if she is still doing any music but with out any luck. Try out her album called 'Boys'. The sound and tunes are just amazing. A bit of a slow burner but if its for you you will love it.
THE NEW ALBUM WAS HAND-MADE, EACH COVER SPRAY PAINTED AND STAMPED BY YOURSELF, HOW WAS THIS?
So I made 50 copies and the start of each process was fun, but see by number 24 of each stage I was cursing myself. I have to say that this was influenced by Gav at De-fence and the care and love that he always put into his releases. That and the fact that it seemed a little cheaper to do as much of it yourself as possible! I did love the reveal of each album once I had taped up the sleeve, spray painted it and then let it dry for a day. When you pull of the tape it is kind of cool. I made 50 and it was really hard to let go of about 20 of them because I wanted to keep them all!
ARE YOU PLANNING ON ANY LIVE SHOWS?
Yes. I'm getting a band together and will be playing the following shows in March 2019. I've also got Lonely Tourist suckered in to coming on the three date 'tour' as well, which I am chuffed about. As yet I can't confirm who will be the third band/act but it will be sorted soon.
Fri 1st March – Roobarb, Fort William
Sat 2nd March - 13th Note, Glasgow
Sun 3rd March – The Wee Red Bar, Edinburgh

(via Telosma)
Still daydreaming about all the pretty earrings I’ll wear someday! I’ll definitely need a glittery pair like these.
(via Bando)
I recently discovered this super rad smart lamp and haven’t stopped thinking about it since. I’m already a big fan of any sort of lighting that isn’t overhead but I love it even more when it’s multi-purpose like this one! It’s Amazon Alexa enabled meaning you can use your voice to control lighting features, set timers, check the weather, tell time, and play music.
(via Amazon)
Speaking of unique lights, loving this one. A little reminiscent of macaroni but somehow still awesome!
(via Urban Outfitters)
You already know how much I love things with eyes on them! These socks are fab!
(via Bando)

I 🖤 you, @empirealchemywax. See what they stamp on the outside of my box? That I am AWESOME. They totally don’t stamp that on just every box. (They totally do.) Here is today’s haul: I included my hand in a couple of the pieces just so you can see how huuuuge that chunk of Sleepy Hollow is, and the general size of Tucker & Dale. They all smell amazing! I really thought Queensfire would be my favorite, because I am a sucker for all things Rose, but Tucker and Dale have totally won my heart, just like they did in their documentary. Also, Yes I know my art table needs to be cleaned of gesso, etc. But the dark wood is still a decent background. 😻😻😻 #wax #scentabulous #frabjous

For the love of Lucifer
"Lucifer, shut up. I'm trying to do stuff." I said throwing a book at him. He caught it and opened it. "Greek lore?" He asked raising an eyebrow. "Yes, it's for my class and maybe for Sam and Dean too." I said looking at him. "Of course it has something to do with them. You're always doing something for those two." He hissed leaning over my shoulder. "They need a researcher, and since my main course is about ancient texts then it's basically my job as their little sister. Besides why do you even care, you're just here to get your kicks then you'll pop out until you need your full again." I said not looking at him as he sat my book back down. "Your sure about that, that I just want my feel then just leave?" He asked pulling my face up to look at him. I glared and pulled my face away from him. "Yeah I am, it's what you always do anyways. I think your just a poor, pathetic angel who comes to me because they don't have anywhere else to go because no one likes you." I said going back to my homework/research. "You are so fucking stupid. I come here because I am in love with you, you stupid human. I leave because I hate seeing that most of this work is for those idiots who don't even see how beautiful you are, I hate that they use you and you don't even care if they do or not, just as long as they give you approval, you're fine!" Lucifer shouted stomping away from me. He sat on the far side of the bed with body facing me, I tried to say something but nothing came out. I sighed and turned around to my textbook and kept working on my term paper. Deep breathing could be heard and it started to calm and become faint. I knew he was looking at me, I could feel holes burning into the back of my head. "What Lucifer?" I asked not looking up from writing something down about Typhon, he was known for as the father of all monsters. He didn't say anything back or make a sound either, I sighed putting my pencil down and turned my chair around. I gasped and leaned back in my chair when he was right infront of me, hands on either side of my chair. He had this look on his face that meant trouble, it was also really, really sexy. "What Luc?" I asked looking into his eyes. "Do you want me?" He asked not taking his eyes off mine. "What kind of question is that?" I asked cocking an eyebrow at him. "It's a question I want an answer to." He growled leaning in closer to me. "Why does it matter if I want you? You're Satan, it's forbidden for any living creature to love you." I said turning back around. "Oh because I'm fallen means I don't deserve any love? Does it mean I'm suppose to be forgotten about it swept under the rug because I rebelled because I didn't want to love you selfish humans more than my father?" He asked his voice raising with every word. I bit my lip so I wouldn't respond, making Lucifer sigh and the next thing I heard was wings flutter. I turned around and was met with an empty room, I sighed letting out a shaky breath. A note popped up on my desk with a caligraphy L stamped on it, the wax was a maroon color with the edges carefully cut off. I looked at it for a second then took it by the corner and threw it on my bed beside my pillow, going back to my Greek homework. Not long after I went back to my homework a flutter was heard and I sighed. "Luc I really don't have time right now, this is due in the morning and I can't get a bad grade on this. It takes up 50% of my grade." I said flipping a page in my lore book. "I know, but I won't take up much of your time." A slick voice said from behind me that made me turned my head, my eyebrow cocked. "Oh, hey Gabe." I said before turning back around. I smirked when I felt his smirk fall into a frown. "Look, (y/n), I don't know what just happened between you and Lucie but whatever it is you two need to make up." Gabe said clicking his fingers making a bottle of (f/d) pop up beside me. I rolled my eyes and moved it off my translation book. "Yeah I'll do it as soon as I'm done with this paper." I muttered writing down down something on the lore of the west. "Why are you acting off?" Gabe asked walking over to me, making me look at him. "Because this paper is important and I want it to be perfect so I won't get a bad grade." I muttered pushing his hands off of me. He snapped his fingers and my paper was done, I looked up at him with my eyebrows knotted. "Ok what is it that you angels want? How come I can't get any of my own work done, by myself?" I asked shutting all of my books. "Because whatever happened between you and Lucie is important that you solve it because he will go haywire." Gabe said pulling the sucker out of his mouth. "Gabe I really don't care right now, he just said himself that he didn't love me. I quote 'Because I didn't want to love you selfish humans more than my father.' Gabe he doesn't give a shit. He doesn't love me, he only thinks he does because I put up with him." I said taking my necklace off and handing it to him. "Here, this isn't mine to keep, give it back to him." I said taking the note off my bed and putting it in my nightstand drawer. "(y/n), you can't just push this away and ignore it. Something going to happen and I don't want it to hurt either of you because that's whats going to happen. Both of you are going to cut each other off until one of you hurts the other or maybe worse, I know Luc loves you. He just has a hard time expressing it, you need to guild his feelings out, nurture them. Both of you are idiots but you're made for each other." Gabe said putting the necklace on the desk before popping out. I grabbed it and put it the drawer with the note, running my fingers through my hair. "I don't have time for this angel bullshit." I muttered pulling out my Roman homework. I groaned looking up at my clock and mentally slapped myself when it read 1:45 am. On the up side I had finished, on the down side the situation with Lucifer and Gabriel were stuck in my brain. I looked over at my drink and smiled when I saw it hadn't been waterlogged. ~Thanks for the drink Gabe.~ I prayed to the archangel turned trickster. I smiled when a sticky note with a smiley face that said your welcome on it popped up. I downed half of it and sighed from relief, needing energy from what I was about to do. I crossed the room to my nightstand and took out the note, but left the necklace. I popped it open and skimmed over it, catching the various I'm sorry's and I didn't mean it like that's but I sighed when no explanations for what he said in there. ~Lucifer, get your ass in here now.~ I prayed to the fallen angel. It took a second but wings fluttered and a sulking Lucifer appeared on my bed. "I'm sorry." He said, his voice was shot and his eyes were red, and he was still crying. "Luc, please stop crying." I said sitting beside him, rubbing his back. "You hate me, don't you?" He asked, managing to stop the tears that were threatening to fall again. "No Luc I don't hate you, I'm kind of upset that you said what you did. I was cranky and tired, and I wanted to get my paper done so I could go to sleep, but I know I won't be able to go to sleep unless we make up." I said reaching into the nightstand, pulling the necklace out. I handed it to him and he looked up at me, more tears welling up in his eyes. "Luc, it's your grace. I don't need it with me, it could get you hurt." I said curling his fingers over the top of it. He shook his head and put it back around my neck, smiling softly when he looked back up at me. "It's not my grace, it's yours. Whenever you were small, I believe you were a baby, someone stole your grace and cut off your angel radio. It made you human more or less, but because you're a repressed angel you have a very rare interest in history and lore. I've kept it in this protective charm waiting for you to claim it, but you never did. But as soon as you do, you'll be an angel again, and you won't need me for anything." Lucifer said looking at the necklace, smiling sadly as it started to glow. I looked down and the blue-white light was moving rapidly, stretching it's confinements. I took it off and put it on the night stand, making it calm down and slowly stop moving. "Why wou-mph!" Lucifer started but was cut off by me kissing him. He hesitated but put his hands on my hips, kissing me back. "You remember asking if I wanted you? I'm about to show you." I said pushing him on his back pulling my shirt over my head and standing up pushing my shorts and panties off. "You study without a bra?" He asked quirking his eyebrow. "When I'm home and don't have anything to do I go bra-less." I said pulling him up and pulling his shirt over his head. He smirked and pulled me into his lap, kissing at my neck, his hands ran up my sides, tracing my curves. "Luci." I moaned as his hands gripped my breasts, squeezing them and tweaking my nipples. He hummed and pinched one making me arch into him. "Someone's eager." He murmured biting my neck, dragging his fingers down to my pussy.  "You're dripping, you filthy thing." He said pushing two fingers in me, curling them. I cried out, latching onto his neck, grinding on his fingers. "Do you want something to fill you up, dirty girl?" He asked pulling his fingers out and rubbing my clit, watching me squirm. "Yes please!" I whined rubbing myself against his jeans. "Eager thing." He muttered against my neck, standing up and dropping me on the bed. He unbuttoned and pushed his pants and boxers down, stroking himself. "Nick has excellent equipment for this." Luci said smirking. His cock jumped when I moaned watching him spread precum over his head. "Oh don't worry, I haven't forgotten about you precious." He said climbing up over me, running his hands up the entirety of my body. "Luci, please stop being mean and making me wait, I want you now!" I groaned wrapping my arms around his neck and pulling him into a kiss. He hummed in response, sliding his hands down my body, until he wrapped his hand around himself, lining up with me. "Now, remember, be a good girl and make a lot of sounds for me." He muttered against my ear before thrusting into me roughly. "Luci!" I squealed, not expecting him to be that rough that quick. "That's right, precious. Say it louder, I want everyone on this campus to be able to hear you." He said giving a sharp thrust, biting my earlobe. "It would be kind of weird to hear that Lucifer is fucking someone senseless, don't ya think?" I asked, sass dripping from my voice. He grinned and slapped my ass, making me yelp and thrust into him. "Don't get a smart mouth with me or I'll wear it out of you." He said grinning from ear to ear, kissing me and pulling me up into his lap. I wrapped my arms around his neck, moving my hips against his, meeting his thrusts and threading my fingers through his hair. "Aren't you such a dirty girl." He said grabbing a fistful of my hair, forcing my head back and attacking my neck. "Luci please, harder." I whined trying to force my hips down on his harder, but being stopped by his free hand. "We're going at my pace. This is punishment for disobeying me and hurting my feelings." He murmured against my neck, biting down harshly. I cried out feeling the knot in my stomach tighten, threatening to snap. "Don't you dare come without me." He growled laying me back down thrusting harder and sloppier than he was before. I whined trying to meet his thrusts, but failing when his hand came down, stopping my hips from moving against his. "So close, baby girl. Say my name, let me hear those pretty sounds." He growled, pushing his thumb against my clit, rubbing in rough hard circles. "Lucifer, ahh!" I cried out writhing as the knot tightened more, a brink from breaking and pushing me over. "Just a little more." He groaned from how tight he made me. A few more sloppy thrusts and he was spilling into me, forcing me over my edge. Lights came over my vision, making me squeeze my eyes, protecting my eyes. When I pushed them open, soft things caressed my face, tickling me slightly. "Luc, your wings." I said trailing off in awe. "Do you like them?" He asked, looking at me shyly. I nodded running my fingers through them. "Do you want to see what yours look like?" He asked reaching over and grabbing the necklace that held my grace. I nodded, taking it from him and holding it tightly in my hands. I could feel the grace run from the necklace into my fingers, making my body tingle and bloom into light enveloping me. I clinched my eyes feeling light all over starting to blind me. I opened my eyes again and black feathers came into view. "They're black!" I gasped, smile spreading all over my face. "They have teal in them, they suit you." He said pulling me into a kiss.

Ice Fishing 101
Tumblr media
A warm southerly twist blew over the thick February ice as I cut various openings in a watercraft channel driving from the fundamental lake. This channel found the middle value of six feet profound, and had a considerable lot of fallen timber and other cover show. Saugeyes, crappie, bluegill and roost were all present in this swamp and I chose tonight to target saugeyes.I put out a few tip-ups and jigged my Vib-E jigging cutting edge draw in conjunction with my Vexilar flasher. As I was jigging, I heard the obvious sound of a tip-up banner stumbling and I investigated my shoulder to see my banner up and the shaft turning gradually, demonstrating a pleasant fish was peeling disconnected. I facilitated up to the opening, and gave the fish some slack before hauling out the tip-up, and set the snare with a snap of my wrist. The saugeye contended energetically, and made a couple short keeps running before I dialed down pleasant fish out of the opening. After re-bedeviling the tip-up with a brilliant shiner, I returned to jigging and my Vexilar unit. I was stamping fish consistently and missed a few strikes, so I knew my window of chance had arrived, particularly with a stout seventeen inch saugeye lying on the ice. All of a sudden, a vast red check showed up on my Vexilar unit, and I continued raising my dance gradually attempting to trigger the saugeye into gnawing. Unexpectedly, there was a solid "pound" on hold and I set the snare hard. The dead weight of the saugeye was clear as there was no provide for the curve in the bar, and after a concise tussle, I had another extraordinary eating estimated saugeye on the ice! I included a reward kind sized thirteen inch crappie and a couple of enormous roost to my catch that night and had an incredible fish broil for the family the following day. Ice angling is an agreeable game and an incredible approach to spend the frosty climate months in the outside. It is additionally an awesome get-together, and I more often than not attempt to go out with family or a substantial gathering of companions to partake in the good times. There is some essential gear one needs to begin in ice angling, and this article is expected to enable you to settle on the correct decisions to go ahead. I will go over the greater part of the apparatus and talk about in detail the applications to enable you to make a sound venture.
The primary bit of hardware one needs clearly is an ice twist drill. There are two sorts accessible, either a hand twist drill or a power twist drill. The upside of the hand twist drill is they are significantly more affordable and lighter than the power wood screw. The power twist drill, then again, cuts openings a considerable measure less demanding, particularly if there is a great deal of ice present. In the wake of slicing openings through the ice, the following bit of rigging you need is an ice scooper. When you punch a gap through the ice, the ice shards constantly gather in the opening, and you have to wipe the ice out of your way so you can angle appropriately. There are plastic ones that are more affordable, and afterward there are metal ones. I incline toward the metal scoopers since they are significantly more tough over the long haul.
To catch angle through the ice, one needs to coordinate your ice bars to the species you are focusing on. In the event that you are after roost, bluegill, or crappie, you can buy a reasonable ice pole without a reel, as this set up will be more than satisfactory. On the off chance that you are after walleyes or northern pike, at that point you have to put resources into a medium activity ice bar with a coordinating turning reel. These combos are accessible at most retailers and are genuinely reasonable. When I am angling for container angle, despite everything I utilize a light activity pole with a turning reel loaded with four to six pound test, since I want to reel in the fish, instead of hand line them in as you need to do with the less expensive ice bars without any reels appended. You can either utilize little ice dances to catch skillet angle, or a crappie minnow on a modest number 12 treble snare and a slip bobber. I as a rule utilize ice dances, for example, the popular Rat Finkee by Custom Jig and Spins, since this dance has the line tie in the best position for the dance to hang flat to catch more fish. I tip my ice dances with a wax worm or spike for best outcomes. A spring bobber for container fish can be useful as well, in light of the fact that these frill will demonstrate the lightest of nibbles and they are extremely modest to add to your dance pole. For walleyes, I like the Buckshot Rattle Spoons or Jigging Rapalas for best outcomes. I likewise utilize eight to ten pound test line and no pioneer.
Another incredible approach to get bigger fish through the ice is utilizing tip-ups. Tip-ups are a perfect contraption that enables you to set out a spread of lines to cover an extensive range successfully. When you get a chomp, the banner bounced up and it is obvious from a long separation. My most loved tip-up to utilize is the Frabill Pro-Thermal tip-up, in light of the fact that it has froth incorporated with the tip-up to shield your openings from solidifying over in the middle of strikes. They additionally stack perfectly in a five gallon bucket. They have a spool on them that you load with dark twenty to thirty pound test tip-up line and after that associate a three foot pioneer of eight to ten pound trial of monofilament line by means of a crane swivel. The dark tip-up line appears best on the ice when you need to reel back in your lines. I prescribe utilizing either medium brilliant shiners or medium estimated sucker minnows on a number six measured treble snare. Put a split shot over your minnow around eight creeps to keep your live snare close to the base. For walleyes keep your minnow around eighteen creeps off the lake floor, and with northern pike, you can set your traps genuinely high off the base, in light of the fact that a pike will routinely move upwards to take your advertising.
Another incredible advantage for the ice angler is the Vexilar Ice Flasher. While they are a major speculation, this noteworthy unit enables you to see everything progressively, as such, you can see your minor ice dance climb and down as you dance your line, and when a fish shows up, you will see the red line either above or underneath your own dance. Basically come to an obvious conclusion, in a manner of speaking, by raising or bringing down your pole, and frequently the fish will nibble quickly. These units are completely basic on the off chance that you are angling further water, as I have gotten walleyes in Bay De Noc, Michigan that were suspended an entire six to eight feet off the base. Had I not had a Vexilar unit, I would have never understood that the walleyes were an entire three to four feet over my draw! I essentially reeled my draw above them and persuaded them into striking.
An ice haven is another pleasant venture to have, particularly on the off chance that you have children along. A quality ice asylum will keep you out of the wind and warm, and it likewise serves as an incredible approach to pull the greater part of your apparatus out on the ice. Another flawless favorable position of an ice sanctuary is that it will frequently enable you to see truly well beneath the ice since it shields the glare from the sun and in the obscurity of the ice shack, it can be astonishing how well you can see underneath the ice. I utilize the Frabill Trekker Ice Shack since I truly like the outline highlights, general room and comfort, and the usability.
A couple of other unquestionable requirements for the starting ice fisher are hand held security spikes, just in the event that you could ever fall through the ice. These spikes can spare your life by enabling you to draw yourself up through the ice to wellbeing. There are additionally ice spikes you can put on your boots to keep you from A decent snare document is an absolute necessity to hone your ice dances and treble snares, and a decent protected minnow container and a minnow net are extremely convenient in the colder climate. Frabill makes an incredible minnow can called the Sit and Fish Bucket that likewise has a cushioned seat for you to angle easily, and a protected minnow pail to shield your minnows from solidifying exposed to the harsh elements climate. Great chilly climate dress is additionally an unquestionable requirement, as are water evidence, protected elastic boots to keep your feet dry and warm. Ultimately, a little twofold sided fishing supply bag to store your ice dances, snares, and sinkers in is exceptionally convenient on the ice.
Ice angling is extremely agreeable approach to pass the winter months and an awesome social action to appreciate with your family or companions. This article ought to enable you to choose the essential rigging to begin, and it will enable you to be fruitful on the ice.
