this is my meanie nyx he kinda sucks 😚 he has a scary face and cold demeanor (ive been wanting a mean farmer for a while.. remy was originally supposed to be a scary guy but i poured too much autism awkward and scared swag into him whoops) he lowkey gives sickly vampire whos also sick of everything.

i always interact with the trash cans when i walk past them, right, n i decided that instead of rummaging through them. nyx just. kicks them. hes a petty pathetic fucker ok.

he's gonna have so many dinosaurs one day. his second one is on the way atm. man fished up a dino egg n his whole life shifted trajectory. his first dino is named neo btw. he has a black cat named nyponsoppa n a horse named laurel. he got another pet bowl set up but then choked at the price of actually getting another one.

he nearly cried at the fair after losing a lot of tokens to that dumb wheel goddammit. he nearly stayed a few extra hours to see how many tokens he could get and to glare at the guy running the stall, if you can even call it that. he did win the grange display but he gambled and lost all those tokens.....

my plan for the future is to get krobus to move in,,,,, and for the two of them to have many dinos.

jj is another silly little guy farmer but hes an actual clown. i think he might be a failed comedian or smth. hes from a co op farm with @deathianartworks n @witchkittymeow. n boy is every person on that farm . incompetent. <3 theyre a trio of three short gays with some anger issues and zero braincells and names all starting with j. so much stupid shit goes on there, im concerned for the animals tbch.

he has stolen a lot of decorations from his fellow farmers. and he will continue. his collection of borrowed goods include: two decorative bowls, a window and a painting.

he doesnt trust the tv and its fortunes.... Initially falls for Leah, ends up marrying Shane because he told the farmer to leave him alone and Julian takes that as a challenge

It's also strangely cathartic for him to be on the other side of the "I can help him heal" trope

It's the talk of the town, nobody knows who they should be supisious of, I mean... Who would do that to the innocent, beloved farmer's family? In such a kind and quiet town! You know what you did.

The news kindly mentions your child throughout the month to keep people on the lookout for this poor, lost kid. Maybe there's some request tasks on and off that are supposed to aid in looking for your child but they taper off over the years as hope is lost and people ultimate, with shame, lose interest. You console your partner as they go through their grief and over time, as your child is nowhere to be found, it may be assumed that they are dead. Year five. The request tasks have stopped coming in. Nobody mentions your baby anymore. Things have come to quiet. Everyone but your spouse has moved on and now and again they will mention how they miss their child in a moment of what is understood to be a deep, unrelenting depression they keep in the dark. They leave town for therapy on Thursdays. Maybe in a few more years they'll want to try again, for another child to love. One they will hold onto forever so this never happens again. They want to make up for their neglect to you. They blame themselves, they were supposed to be watching them. You will always know what you did. Sometimes late at night you see a morning dove. Stalking you from the branches of a nearby tree. Waiting. You know what you did.

Bells Hells playing stardew valley

Orym - chooses forest farm, makes the cutest little garden in the shape of 2 moons. Best friends with leah because shes a character that just makes sense to him, and romances elliott because dramatic dudes with lucsious hair seem to be his type ;) he also loves the junimos

Laudna - Laudna plays co-op with imogen, and they have a really cottagecore farm. Its a wilderness farm though, and laudna will not let imogen fight any of monsters because the add to the atmosphere. Her favourite festival is the flower dance, and she loves the tailoring aspect of the game

Imogen - shes a farm girl what can i say. While laudna works on the crops, imogen will gather resources to build barns and coops and look after every animal she can afford (they all have names) she downloads a mod to make the horse look like the one she used to own

Ashton - Ashton loves the mines. Once they unlock skull cavern, he will deep dive as far as he can go and use as many bombs as possible. He doesnt usually make friends with people but eventually when fcg convinces them to he cries over shanes story just a bit.

Fearne - Fearne has a very pretty flower farm, and is invested in what is happening with marnie and lewis. Once she gets the pants she will find as many uses for them as she possibly can. Her favourite festival is the egg hunt.

Chetney - Like fearne, he is very interested in marnie amd lewis' relationship, and will try to romance marnie because he can. When he finds out he cant actually build buildings by himself he tries to steal robins job, or try to marry robin. All the bachelors and bachelorettes are too young for him.

FCG - FCG loves to make friends with people, and will memorise each persons loved gift and talk to as many people as they can every day. They try to give therapy to shane but are happy that he still gets help. He decides to move in with krobus because they have a smiley face when you hug them. Because of his attwntion to friendships, his farm mostly consists of just things needed to build relationships.

Dorian - Dorian is a pretty well rounded player, with a nice farm hes spent way to much time on. He always grows blue jazz in spring, and can never decide who to romance, (he suffered rejection from hayley at the flower dance) so he invites orym to his farm and immediately proposes, and explains this with "i need the stardrop so uhhh" orym accepts. Dorian loves the music in the game and often restarts the day just so he can rewatch the dance of the moonlight jellies.

First time doing headcanons and stuff, i saw a post with orym playing stardew in it and got inspired, ill try to find the og post if i can. Sorry for any spelling mistakes, currently very tired. Let me know if you want more of this! :D

Krobus & Reader - Platonic Headcanons

Krobus doesn’t know a lot about regular human things, but he certainly tries his best!

He saw on TV numerous times people giving others flowers, so he figured he should too! So, he picked out a bunch of dandelions near the back of the house you and him shared before presenting the flowers to you later that afternoon. You laughed but smiled, and put them in a small vase shortly.

Krobus isn't a huge fan of going out, but you and him have been out and about a handful of times during a rainy day, making sure he was well disguised before leaving the house and heading to town. You've showed him various houses and locations, but he mostly enjoyed talking with you during the walk.

Lately, you've taught him how to play chess, which was an interesting little game. He... didn't fully understand it, but he liked knocking over pieces and moving the knight around.

Krobus isn't great with cooking, but he has begun to make simple dishes for you to eat when you get home from a busy day outside or in a different place. He mainly made sandwiches for you, but despite the simplicity of the meal you seemed to enjoy it all the same.

As a gift, you gave him some sort of wide-brimmed hat, saying that you remembered how he didn't like the sun all that much. He thought that it was a very kind gesture, and he almost always wears it when heading out.

— she is a half witch on her bio mother's side ! it's assumed that her bio father is a human that her mom had a summer fling with while traveling

— she's always been able to use magic ever since she was a little girl, but has very little control over it due to not having anyone to learn from + just not being able to practice it whilst growing up in the city

— however, she Did encounter a woman who claimed she was a fellow witch and was given a spellbook from her. she doesn't understand most of the spells inside though and hasn't attempted any besides the very basics

— her natural hair color is dark brown, but she uses her magic to change it to orange (á la that one scene in the craft)

— wren was adopted at 4 years old by two Very Loving and overprotective dads. she also has a brother who has a career as a well known street artist in the city

— she has reason to believe that she's related to mr. qi in one way or another DON'T LAUGH...DON'T LAUGH...SHE TAKES IT VERY SERIOUSLY (he neither confirms or denies it and his extreme vagueness frustrates her)

— before moving to pelican town, she used to work at McJoja (u can't tell me joja wouldn't have a fast food chain like...) but was fired due to a conflict with a customer and the manager was rly just fed up with her antics in general

— when she moved to the town, wren avoided haley and alex for a good week because she recognized them from high school. she was on the cheerleading team with haley, they weren't too close in hs, and alex was obv a popular gridball player

— her farm's name is deergrave farm and it's believed to be haunted. although she doesn't believe it herself, she likes to use its reputation to entertain the kids with spooky stories or creep abigail, sam, and sebastian out

— she has a big fat crush on lance who either returns or rejects her feelings depending on which route i take her story in 🤔 if she's rejected, they stay very good friends and something else happens with someone else i'm Sure u can guess who

— another route is the Vanilla route where stardew expanded is disregarded and in that route she ends up with haley !

— even though she adores jas, vincent, and kids in general, wren doesn't want any of her own. she's very adventurous and a kid requires a lot of attention that she feels she won't be able to provide. she's more than content with her dog and krobus who she eventually gets to come live with her as her roomie

@werewoofrobinbuckley and I were just having a silly goofy time and came up with a bunch of headcanons for Robin and Nancy playing Stardew Valley together. Stardew spoilers just in case you haven't played the game

They play on a co-op farm and are married

Robin insists on forest farm because she likes foraging, while Nancy just wants classic so that they have as much space as possible

Nancy cares about minmaxing, while Robin just spends the whole time pickling everything and taking care of animals

Despite being married to Nancy, Robin also hit the 10 hearts group event with all the bachelorettes, because she finds it hilarious, but also wants to date everyone

Nancy then got jealous as joke and said she'd court Shane

Robin then got actually offended

They both bully Clint relentlessly, but it's mostly Robin

Robin absolutely kicks ass at fishing and caught all the legendary fish they have so far, but Nancy helps her gearing up

Nancy loves the Skull Cavern more than anything. The adrenaline it gives her is worth the anxiety.

Robin on the other hand has never been further than floor 20 in the Mines

Nancy has most of the wiki memorised and is good at combat, but Robin has the best luck when it comes to RNG

Robin has found like 5 prismatic shards just by randomly digging and Nancy only found 2 so far and had to donate one to Gunther

Robin tried to get Linus and Krobus to move in with them

One day Nancy logs on and sees that literally the whole Pelican Town map is covered in kegs

Kegs everywhere.

Robin also disregarded that villagers destroy items if they're in their way, so she also lost a lot of kegs and resources because of that

Nancy is furious and doesn't let Robin log on until it's resolved

Robin then actually tries to make up for it and grinds for days, expands the house and even fixes the boat, so that they can go to Ginger Island

Until Robin realises that the island can also be covered in kegs

Robin loves kegs

Robin has never given Abigail anything else than an amethyst

Robin once started a JoJa run by accident. Nancy had to reset the day.

Robin gifts Nancy 69 hardwood regularly.

Robin has never completed the Robin's Lost Axe quest. She kept the axe. Nancy urged her that they need the money and then later in endgame actually asked Robin to return it, since she wanted to have the quest finished. Robin refused at first, because it was her axe, but eventually returned it

They never returned Mayor Lewis' shorts though.

Every fall fair, Nancy painstakingly prepares the goods for the grange display. Robin always sneaks the shorts in. The first year, she actually replaced all the goods with just the shorts.

Nancy actually has to physically hold Robin down to keep her from dumping the shorts into the Luau Soup

Robin's favourite festival is Dance of the Moonlight Jellies, Nancy can't decide, but it's either the Spirit's Eve or Night Market.

Speaking of the Night Market - Nancy gets most of her seeds there, because she refuses to rely on Pierre

Nancy had to have a talk with Robin to stop digging in the trash in front of all the villagers, since it kept reducing their friendship. Robin just found it funny how upset they got.

Their first Chicken's name was Noodle. Robin names all the animals. It's very chaotic.

Krobus and Humans

Krobus had learned not to get close to people. He had learned long ago people had a habit of abandoning him. He knew he was never going to be someone’s first priority. He didn’t need to be. He understood why he would never be the most important in someone else’s life. There were times where he wished people wouldn’t be so obvious about it though.

Krobus knew this happened to him constantly because he didn’t ascribe to the idea of romance. He wasn’t against romance, nor did he hate it. He couldn’t deny it made other people happy. But it wasn’t something he could see for himself. Not something he particularly needed or wanted in his life.

But everyone he had ever let into his life had wanted this. Not always from him. Most of them wanted friendship, or as they would put it “just” friends, the step below their special partner. Once his friends had found their special partner, Krobus would suddenly matter less. He tried to excuse it, ignore it, and sometimes even confront it. All it left him with though was loneliness and low self-worth. So, he had decided he didn’t want to deal with people anymore. He would make himself scarce to the outside world and live the rest of his life alone like he was meant to be.

He doesn’t remember how and when he ended up in Stardew Valley, let alone how he set camp in the sewer. Maybe it wasn’t an ideal home nor was it particularly nice, but at least it kept him away from people.

Or so he thought.

Despite his best effort someone slipped through. Krobus wasn’t a mean person, he didn’t know how tell someone to leave him alone.

It didn’t take long for him to figure out it was a newcomer in town who made it a mission to befriend everyone, which apparently included him. Krobus figured this person would soon learn he wasn’t worth it, they would find someone more important than him and they would invest the efforts elsewhere.

However, for some reason they kept coming back once. They would try to make small talk with him, always asking about Krobus and sometimes even going as far as bringing a gift.

Krobus started selling item this person might come to need some day. He tried to deny it, but he had to admit he was doomed. He was starting to get attached to this person. He was starting to make small changes in his life to accommodate this person. He was starting to learn more and more about this person. It was a farmer who had come from the city to move to their late Grandfather’s farm. Krobus heard of all the struggles of adjusting to farm life, how overrun the farm had been, how expensive everything had been and how much was required to keep the farm running. The farmer always looked a bit run down whenever they came to Krobus but still excited about the new life they were building for themselves.

Krobus knew he was in too deep when he noticed the small improvements in the farmers health and mood. The farmer was adjusting well and soon instead of talking of hardship the farmer talked of constructions ideas and whenever they acquired a new animal or something interesting happened on the farm.

Krobus started getting scared. This was the kind of thing he had stayed away from for so long. He had avoided this because he didn’t want to get hurt. He was getting especially scared when the farmer started talking about one of the villagers in particular. He recognized this. Soon he would be left behind.

So, when the farmer came down to sewer with a nervous expression, Krobus was ready to be rejected and cast aside again. He had resigned himself to heartbreak. He was already thinking of new places he could go to.

“So, I’ve been enjoying your company a lot.”

Maybe it was worse, maybe it was a confession for him. Maybe this was what was going to break them up. The farmer would ask for something Krobus couldn’t give.

“It might be you enjoy your life down here, and you’re welcome to say no to my proposition,” the farmer started off, “but I was wondering if you wanted to move in with me.”

Krobus needed a minute before he was able to process what the farmer had asked.

“As friends of course.” The farmer clarified when Krobus still didn’t say anything.

“You know I’ll be a very strange person to live with, right?”

The farmer nodded, “ I figured,” they smiled, “I’m asking someone who currently lives in a sewer.”

“I won’t be able to leave the house.”

“that’s okay.”

Krobus finally smiled. “okay, I’ll live with you.”

Heya! this has been on my mind a few days now and I feel like sharing this with you. I recently started playing sdv for the first time and by the end of Fall of year two Krobus became my roommate. (I was a very happy aroace that moment) (That he moved in on a rainy day standing outside of the farmhouse while Robin built the stables right next to it is another story) but everytime he cooks me something I love to imagine him watching a tv cooking show and trying to replicate what they’re doing. Getting confused when there is nothing already prepared to pull out from somewhere and it takes him a few attempts to get it right. But he always gives the farmer his best attempt at cooking. (And ngl his food saved my bacon in the mines more than once.) I dunno just felt like sharing this with you. Have a nice day/evening and take care. 🐱

Aww this was so nice to read! Yes I love that he cooks for the farmer too despite it probably not being something he’s very familiar with. It’s sweet the effort he seems to put into learning about it.

The Knight/Ghost, Luz, Sidon, and Krobus?

Bingo!

Oh Ghost my little beloved, virtually characterless in the game but have so much fanon lore and head cannons about them, they were the first canonically they/them explicitly no gender character i knew *cough fuck you matpat cough*.

I don't normally like silent character's but Ghost is just so cute and as concept they're fascinating. Through player agency and little bits of lore it is made clear that despite the Pale King's intentions and what has been said about hollowness that they are a thinking feeling character, (i've always believed the hollowness described is a connection and unity with the void that gives them strength rather an emptiness that allow them to contain the Radiance) I just love this silent child looking thing exploring a world and meeting all these new and wonderful people as well as the internal conflict as they learn their purpose and fullfil it.

Luz my beloved, sorely undervalued by the fandom (there is some serious white favoritism in the fandom, thankfully not so much with the crew as they actually recognise she is the main character and that the story is about her, though they should have done more to emphasize her status as afro and latina). She has one of the more interesting character arcs i've seen of nuerodivergent child engaging in seriously harmful practices and having to get a reality check (I don't what anyone says, she let snakes out, her mum was right to send her to summer camp, a camp V loved, that would have probably benefited Luz had she had gone). She's built her world around her interests to her detriment and has to learn that it has become damaging, that her behaviours are hurting people, and she learns this on the fucking boiling isles of all places. In life or death situations she comes to understand she can't go into her fantasy, that she needs to confront reality and figure out how to thrive in it (a wonderful deconstruction of isekai stories). she's legitimately smart, figuring out the sigils and making complex use of them, her struggle with her mum is compelling, the character contrast between her and belos is fascinating, two people who when confronted with the boiling isles move in very different ways, one changing and growing, the other rooting themselves in place and festering. She's legitimately funny with some of the best lines in the show and her romance with Amity is adorable. It's subtle but i do think the writers go a bit too hard on Luz blaming herself. She's probably the only character who got a perfect amount of screentime in season two.

Oh Sidon, you and Link were some of the first things i learnt about BOTW, a legitimately fun character who deserved infinitely more screentime, a really think a sidon mipha's ghost meet up should have happened. Sidlink is probably one of my favourite ships of all time and one of the main reasons i want more monsterxhuman ships. There is reason him and sidlink have influenced some of my stories.

Krobus, best salesmen, very nice, very neat, probably my favourite Stardew Valley character, the one i always marry after it became possible and his shop is so useful.
