Idk if you know Mortal Kombat, especially mileena (she's my favorite) but may I please get a Wolverine and/or Deadpool with a gf who has a mutation like Mileena.
She thinks she's ugly when she uses it but the boys think otherwise 🎀
(I'M LITERALLY IN HEAT EVERYTIME I THINK ABOUT THEM)
Tumblr media
This is (my wife) Mileena
When Wade fights with you at his side, your carnage is always prefaced with a quiet request.
“Please don’t look.”
And, because he is fundamentally a good dude, he doesn’t.
Fuck. He really wants to, though.
The noises that you make when he turns his back to focus on a different opponent are… interesting. It sounds like a bunch of really wet celery being snapped in half to a symphony of screams. When he’s done slicing people into teeny tiny chunks he turns around and sees you standing there in a pool of blood, trying to get the stain of it off your jacket.
He’s never been so curious about something in his entire life.
You’re so lovely. Loveliest thing he’s ever met. How the fuck he managed to convince you to give him a chance he’ll never know. God, the stars, and luck must have all been on his side that day, when after you’d finished taking down a cartel he’d asked you to grab a coffee and you’d said yes. Ever since then it’s been great. He loves spending days on window-shopping dates with you, fingers intertwined as he leaves you breathless with laughter; lazing on his sofa with some stupid rom-com playing with a bucket of popcorn between you both; snuggled in his usual corner booth at his favourite pizza place playing footsie beneath the table.
Perfect. You are perfect in every way.
So if all it takes is looking away when you ask him to then it’s a pretty easy compromise.
Unfortunately what you don’t take into account is that he is an idiot.
Wade catches the sight of you in the reflection of his katana the next time you’re out on a job. He’s just liberated some dude’s head from the rest of his body and is cleaning his blade when he spots you.
And he cannot turn away.
Your mouth is open so wide it could rival a snake’s. Rows of jagged teeth which help you dismember the man who has been caught in the vine of your tongue, struggling to get away as he screams for help. When your jaws snap shut the man is silenced. You spit out the remains of his face onto the ground beside you like discarded gum.
“Holy shit!” says Wade. You squeak when you realise he’s caught the reflection of you, covering your mouth with both hands as it returns to its normal soft, kissable line.
“Oh no!” you whisper. Wade dispatches the last guy who’s running for him with a well-aimed bullet before coming to gather you in his arms.
“Baby, hey, it’s okay!” he says quickly when it’s obvious that you’re about to cry. You look up at him with glistening eyes.
“But Wade, I look so ugly,” you manage, “I thought… if you saw… you might not want to…”
Be with me any more, are the words which hang unspoken in the air. Wade guffaws.
“Are you fucking kidding me? Babe, that was the hottest thing I’ve ever seen!”
Your eyebrows crease together in confusion. He wants to use his thumb to smooth it out, but instead chooses to wipe a tear off your face.
“Yeah?”
“Of course! Shit, you’ve got that fuckin’ Venom thing going on? Like Mileena from Mortal Kombat but sexier? Come on, I’d be a fool if I wasn't rocking a semi right now!”
This makes you laugh properly, from your stomach, and all your worry is forgotten.
“I shouldn’t have worried…” you sigh when you get your wits back.
“Nah, of course not. You’ll always be my boo, okay?”
You grin up at him, before an idea very clearly crosses your mind.
“Oh! That means now I can show you what my tongue can do.”
He isn’t proud of it, but that promise almost makes him cum in the suit.

your mafia!toji fic got me thinking so hard abt him😭😭 he’s deffo the type to just buy you sm stuff as an apology but when you don’t forgive him and sleep in a different bedroom mf will come into the room on his knees and beg for you to come to sleep 😩😩 imagine still saying no and him just flipping you onto his shoulders and carrying you to bed 🤭
oh you are absolutely correct!
|
“darling” toji softly calls you, letting out a tired sigh. “i said i was sorry. what am i supposed to do?”
“die” she replies nonchalantly, shoulders shrugging before grabbing a pillow and your favorite blanket off the bed,
he snickers, looking over at her with a raised eyebrow. “now, now that would be over dramatic don’t you think? won’t you miss me?”
he almost pisses his pants when she throws him a glare,
“okay. no jokes. got it” he put his hands up in surrender, feeling absolutely terrified at his baby being mad and speaking less than two words to him,
if anyone ever finds out that the most feared and notorious man in the city being tamed by his woman, he would never hear the end of it,
but she is scary. can you blame him?
toji looks over at the designer shoes and bags he just purchased a few hours ago, tucked neatly in the corner. untouched by her.
guess the apology gifts aren’t working,
“i didn’t know that she was coming, i haven’t even talked to her in years! never planned to anyway, you know i only got my eyes for my girl, right?”
she tries so hard not to roll her eyes,
toji had a meeting with one of the cartels at the club earlier that night. and of course, she always goes. it’s where he can always keep an eye on her and refuses to leave her at home all alone because he can’t risk that. also, because she’s his good luck charm. whenever she’s around, deals always goes well,
tonight was an exception though,
all was well until a certain person decided to crash. his old fling. one before he met his precious girlfriend. the red haired thought that it would be fun to press her fake ass tits against toji,
y/n was shocked to say at least. she didn’t say anything but her face spoke thousand words. toji could see that. throwing daggers at the bitch, corner of her lips quirk into a form of disgust.
and the worst part was? toji didn’t do anything about it! can you believe that asshole?!
something about being absolutely unprofessional if he was ever to push her off and it ticked y/n to the fucking bone so she decided to ignore him the rest of the night,
toji feels defeated when she chooses not to respond, simply just taking her stuff. he crouches lightly to look at her pretty face clearly. “baby… can you please look at me? I can’t stand seeing you mad. i’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt you”
if it was any circumstances, sure she would melt and jump in his arms. but tonight is different. how could he?
she looks up at him and whisper “fuck. you” before turning around angrily and walk out of the door to go sleep on the guest room,
toji groans, the heel of his palms pressing against his eyes. she has always been so stubborn. too fucking stubborn. exactly why he had to get rejected seven times before she accepted his date.
what? he needed to get humbled, so she gave him that.
he contemplate for a while whether or not he should let her be or not. then he chooses the latter. it would probably be best if he let her cool off some steam for a while, he doesn’t want to do any more damage or make her feel more annoyed by his presence,
bet. not even ten minutes later, he feels like losing his mind without her here.
“fuck this shit” he mutters, getting up from the bed. rubbing his face furiously before stomping towards the other side of the room,
he walks in without knocking, ready to say what he needs to say again. yet he stops. heart clenching at the sight of his girl curled up in bed, back facing him.
“love?” he slowly walks over to her laying figure,
“go away” she speaks. now in a softer tone
“please” he begs, walking around the bed and catching a glimpse of her playing with her pink manicured hands. “sweetheart. I’m sorry” he repeats, going down to her eye level before letting his hand moves to rest on her bare thigh. he’s internally relieved when she doesn’t push him off,
he sighs when she’s not looking at him, seemingly only focused on the nails that she had gotten done a week ago.
“i should’ve pushed her off. shouldn’t let her touch me like that. hell, i shouldn’t even let her breathe near me. i know that” he realizes his mistake. “i didn’t even think about what my girl needed. i was being a horrible boyfriend”
no answer,
he sighs again, refusing to look away from her pretty eyes,
“baby—“
“i heard you the first time. leave. and close the door”
toji is taken aback. fuck. she really is mad at him.
“you don’t mean that”
“uhm, yes i do” she retorts in an obvious tone, sassily raising her eyebrow before scooting a bit further from him. she doesn’t realize this but it makes his heart break,
“princess, i swear-“
“go call that girl back to keep you company. let that fucking bitch sleep by your side” she mutters, looking at the tv instead of him,
he can’t take this anymore,
“you know what? that’s it” toji had enough, he will not be sleeping alone and neither will she. standing up on his feet, his hands reach out to circle around her ankles before tugging her body towards him causing her to yelp,
“toji! what the fuck are you doing-oh!” her voice gets cut off the moment he pulls her body up like she weighs nothing. throwing her over his shoulder. “put me down!” her fists start to hitting his back—as if they’re actually hurting him— legs swinging back and forth
“nope” he answers, keeping a firm grip around her waist before swatting her ass, locking the guest room behind him and walking back to their shared one. “you’re driving me crazy, woman—not saying that i hate it, but i’m pretty fucking beat tonight and we are going to sleep together. so stop fighting me”
she huffs, admitting defeat and letting him carry to the bed. “fuck you, toji”
he smirks at that. “oh i will, baby”

October Special 2024 Masterlist

“What are you thinking about?” You asked Natasha in a soft tone watching as she buttoned up her white shirt, the bed sheets covering your naked body. Natasha looked over her shoulder, her jaw ever so slightly clenched at the thought of telling you what you was playing on her mind. You wondered if you had any reason to be asking her this, after all, it was mostly just sex between the two of you, both of you using it for your own selfish reasons but you’d be lying if you didn’t start to feel something bigger than the heated moments shared in her bedroom.
“It’s just business stuff” she replied, tugging her crystal white shirt into her black dress pants.
“Anything I can help with?” You asked kindly. A heavy sigh filled the room as Natasha turned to you, sliding her phone into her pocket. She shook her head, “thank you but no thank you” she smiled ever so softly, “I have to go deal with somethings, um, thank you for last night” she added, reaching for her suit jacket before leaving the room. You let your head hit the softness of her pillow once more, allowing yourself a little time to gather your thoughts before you got your things and went home.
Entering the ‘office’ which was nothing more than a mansion or a safe house of those who worked for the crime syndicates boss sisters, Natasha and Yelena. You sat down at your desk, turning your computer on when Yelena knocked softly at your door.
“Late night?” She asked with a slight hint of disappointment in her voice. You spun around on your chair to face her, “nothing out of the usual” you smiled softly. You’ve known the sisters for most of your life, they took you under their wing when you had nothing left. Both sisters have always admired your genius skills in cyber hacking and your high attention to detail.
Yelena’s eyes dropped to the piece of paper in her hand, “got a job for me?” You asked, shifting the conversation. The blonde handed you the document with information, “Nat asked if you could wire some cash to detective Agnes O’Conner. I’m surprised she didn’t tell you this morning” Yelena explained causing your eyes to drop to your feet for a brief moment before you looked up at her once more.
“Please don’t start, not today”
Yelena closed the door behind her, “She hasn’t told you, has she?”  Tilting her head slightly to the right as she locked eyes with you.
“Told me what?” You asked with a light frown.
“She’s moving. There are some issues in Mexico and cargo needs to moved, that’s why she’s paying Agnes to turn a blind eye” Yelena explained.
“Why does she need to move?” You questioned.
“Because she’s taking over the cartel over there, it’ll be good for us, the business. It’ll open up a new world of money for us, new clients, we’re stepping up again” Yelena says with proudness in her voice. “You sound excited” you replied with a light smile.
“Well, yeah” she wanders over to the sofa in your office and takes a seat, “You’re up for raise” she adds.
“A-are you saying what I think you’re saying?”
Yelena nods, “things are going to change around here. With Nat moving, she needs some extra help so between her and I, we have to pick who we need most for our organizations. I thought she would’ve told you all this”
The information made you understand why Nat was distant with you this morning. Your mind filled the thought of all the new changes that would be happening, and you could see that Yelena, although she was excited, she was nervous.
“She’s going to ask me to go, isn’t she?” You asked the blonde.
Yelena ran her fingers through her short blonde locks, “well since you both are such an item, I just assumed it would be the case” she replied, barely able to look at you.
“Lena” you said softly, placing the document on your desk and wandering over to the sofa to take a seat next to her. “Lena, you can talk to me” you added, placing a hand gently on her knee. Her jaw clenched for a moment, deep down, her heart skipping a beat as she looked you in the eyes.
“You should probably get that money wired” she said, brushing you off and standing up.
“Lena”
Yelena turned to you, “oh, uhm, don’t leave for lunch today. We’re ordering in” she gave you a soft smile before leaving the room.
----
“When’s your flight Natasha?” Alexei asked.
“Later tonight” she replied, taking a puff from her cigar.
“And you have everything sorted? You have an assistant, yes?” He asked. Natasha lent forward, “you stress to much old man. Everything is fine” she assures him.
“So no, you don’t have an assistant” Melina pitches in, downing a shot of vodka. Nat sighed, “I don’t need an assistant”
“Did you even look at the resumes I gave you? There is some good, strong men and women on that list” said Alexei.
“Yes, I looked at them, not interested. Like I said, I don’t need an assistant”
“It’s not negotiable Natasha. You’re going into foreign territory, this isn’t about getting you an assistant, you also need a bodyguard” Melina says, raising a brow at her daughter while the red head chuckled lightly at her mother’s words, “I can handle myself” she comments.
Melina rolled her eyes before she locked eyes with Natasha once again, “you pick somebody Natasha, or I will” she says sternly. Natasha puts out her cigar, defeated, knowing she won’t win the argument no matter how good her skills are.
“What about Yelena?” The red head questions, she knows Yelena can look after herself and can stand her ground but she’s still her little sister and Natasha can’t help but feel protective of her.
“Yelena is fine, she’s more organized than you” Melina replies, “you’re avoiding what needs to be done Natalia. Your heart, it’s clouding your judgment. You need to think logically, there isn’t anything wrong with them but are you sure that they can handle themselves and protect you if need be?” She adds, catching Natasha’s attention once more.
“Ah, you and Yelena are still fighting over this hacker huh?” Alexei chimes in, exhaling smoke from this cigar. Natasha’s eyes shift to her father, “Fighting?” She questions, “Yelena isn’t interested in Y/n” she adds. Alexei chuckles before taking another puff at his cigar.
“What is this idiot talking about?” Natasha asks, looking at her mother who sighs at Alexei’s words.
“Hey!” Alexei frowns.
“Maybe I was wrong, maybe your heart isn’t in the way” Melina starts, “you’ve never noticed the way Yelena looks at them?” She asks making Natasha’s eyes drop to her feet. “Think logically, got it.” She says before standing up, wanting to end the discussion.
----
Lunch time came with catered mini subs from subway, everybody at the office enjoying light chatter and laughter while taking a break from their illegal lifestyle for just a moment, everybody but you. After the news Yelena gave you this morning, you found yourself burying yourself into work. Finding anything to do, breaking into the FBI’s cyber security to access files you found yourself reading from time to time, your own personal record.
“You’re torturing yourself reading that, you know that, right?” Yelena’s voice broke the silence in your office. Quickly, you closed the window and spun on your chair to face her, “doesn’t hurt to refresh your mind” you replied while Yelena let herself in with a mini sub on a plate for you. “You didn’t come to lunch” she said, placing the plate on the end of your desk.
“I got busy, sorry”
“Thinking about Nat?” Yelena questioned.
“Lena, just say it. You keep bringing it up so just say” you said, slightly raising your voice at the blonde.
“Okay. Fine” Yelena sighs, “why don’t you just admit it?”
“Admit what?” You question just as a soft knock on the door interrupts your conversation. You both look up and see Natasha leaning against the door frame, she gives Yelena a look that makes her excuse herself, leaving you along with Natasha.
“She told you about Mexico?” Natasha asks, breaking the silence as she closes the door behind her.
“Yeah, was that what this morning was about?” You watch as she steps closer to you, cupping your left cheek as she looks into your eyes, “I’ve been selfish” she says as her thumb gently strokes your cheek. “and I’ve blind to see what has been in front of me for so long. I’m not taking you with me detka” she adds, keeping strong eye contact with you.
Gently, you remove her hand from your face and swallow the lump in your throat, “well we always said it was just casual” you remind her, but she sees past your wall. “When do you leave?” You ask her, trying to avoid an awkward situation.
“Just because we have casual sex doesn’t mean I don’t have feelings for you, you need to know that”
“Just not strong enough to ask me to go with you, right?”
“Trust me, if I could ask you to come with me, I would but I can’t. Not when I know that your heart never belonged to me”
You frown at her words, “what are you talking about? You’ve never asked me about my feelings and now suddenly my feelings matter?”
“Your feelings have always matted detka, I was just too selfish to see the truth. I’m not the one who deserves you, I never did” she says.
“That’s not for you to decide Nat, but thanks for making up my mind for me” you snapped.
“It wasn’t me who bailed you out all those years ago. It was Yelena. It’s Yelena that makes your eyes sparkle, that makes your laugh contagious, it’s Yelena that makes you rest your limits and makes you push yourself harder. It was never me and that’s okay. I wanted to be that person so much that I blocked out the way you look at her and the way she looks at you” Natasha explains calmly, as you stand from your chair in disbelief.
“I’ve stood in the way of the happiness of the two people I care about the most for too long and even if I did choose you, Yelena already has.” She adds.
You’ve known about Yelena’s feelings for a while now and you’d be lying if you didn’t feel something different with her than you do with Natasha. What you share with Natasha is something you’ve struggled with; you love the time you have with her, but you noticed just how different she is with you compared to Yelena. Maybe all you and Natasha were was a casual hook-up to keep one another distracted of the world you both lived in, maybe you tried too hard to convince yourself to have deeper feelings for the boss, these were thoughts that rang through your mind while Natasha made herself comfortable on the leather sofa.
“You have every right to be mad with me” Natasha adds, drawing your attention back to her.
“Mad with you? I could never be mad with you” you smile softly to assure her, “I’ll never understand truly what you and I share but I know I’ll miss it, and I’ll miss you” you add.
“I’m not going forever” Nat returns the soft smile, “I’m sure Alexei will fuck something up” she adds causing you both to chuckle.
“I’m sure Yelena will keep him in his place” you replied. Natasha nodded in agreement before your office went silent once more, “are we okay?” She asks. You took a deep breath in before giving her an answer, “yeah, we’re okay”
“I’m glad, because I still need you regardless of if I am here or not. I need somebody to keep an eye on Yelena” Natasha jokes once more just to hear you laugh.
----
With Natasha settling into things in Mexico, the workload didn’t seem so high. Although Yelena had meetings lined up all of next week, you kept working on a side hustle in hopes it would strike interest for the blonde. Using your skills, you heard word about a rival mob planning to move some military trade weapons, you made sure to have all the facts before presenting the idea to Yelena. The weapons could easily be sold to connections that Yelena had in Russia, a quick easy few million dollars to add to the accounts.
Yelena was puffing on a cigar on the balcony when you approached her, almost startling her when you leaned against the railing overlooking the pool beside her. “I’ve got a little gift for you” you said, smirking at her.
“Oh yeah?” Yelena replied, looking over at you.
“You can have it on one condition” you tease, watching her put her cigar out. She never liked to smoke around others.
“I’m listening” she said, turning slightly to face you better as you looked into her eyes.
“That you tell me what you wanted to tell me before Nat left last week”
Yelena’s eyes dropped slightly as a smile tugged at her lips, “you really want to go there?” She asked.
“Go where? I have no idea what you’re talking about” you teased her once more as she looked up at you, running her tongue over her bottom lip, “I’d rather skip that and get straight to the point”
“And what would that point be?” You questioned, feeling Yelena rest a hand on your hip, gently pulling you closer to her, “that Natasha never loved you the way I do, and I’ve been waiting a very long time to call you mine” she confessed.
“Then do it” you said softly, “call me yours”
With a soft smile, Yelena lent forward, capturing your lips with hers and only deepening the kiss when you kissed her back. The side hustle plan forgotten about, the world of crime non-existent just for the moment until Yelena pulled back ever so slightly, “I’m yours” she said in a soft whisper as you smiled, “and I’m yours” you replied.

Never Letting You Go

“Fuck baby,” he said, grinding against your ass with a little bit more force. “Do you feel that?  See, that’s what you fucking do to me woman.” Javi was now rocking harder into you, giving you slow deep thrusts. You could feel his hard outline in his pants as he was seated firmly against you. “This is what you’ve always done to me. I don’t hate you, fuck baby, I like you. I want you. So if you’ll shut up long enough, then maybe you’ll hear me say it.”
Tumblr media
Today was Valentine's Day, and usually this was something that didn’t concern Javier Peña. He was a DEA agent that was in the middle of trying to bring down drug dealers and drug lords, he didn’t have time to be concerned about feelings or emotions on a specific day on the calendar.  But yet here he was, in the files room pacing back and forth, trying to calm his nerves.  Javier was never nervous when it came to the opposite sex. He usually was always so calm, cool, and collected when handling them.  Well, except for today that is, and especially when dealing with you. Somehow you had gotten under his skin just enough that now he was pacing back and forth, mind racing of what to do if you didn't like the gift that he just left you on your desk. He was so lost in his own head that he didn’t hear the door open and Steve Murphy step in.
“Javi, what the hell are you-” Steve said, stopping dead in his tracks when he saw Javi pacing back and forth, running his hand down his face.
“She ain’t gonna like the gift. Why did you say it was from you and not a secret admirer? Jesus. Soy un idiota (I’m such an idiot).” Javi mumbled to himself.
“You got a lady a Valentine’s gift there Peña?” Murphy said, slamming the files on the desk and causing Javi to jump.  Javi just stood there, not answering his friend and fellow DEA agent’s question.  Steve, seeing how nervous Javi was, continued to tease him slightly. “Who’s the lucky girl, Peña?”
Before he could answer, they both heard you marching down the hall, yelling, “Peña, I’m gonna fuckin’ kill you, you arrogant bastard.”
Tumblr media
About a year ago you were transferred to Columbia in an attempt to assist in the capture of Pablo Escobar. At first, you were excited about serving your country and bringing the bad guys to justice. That was before meeting your two male DEA partner’s, however.  The first time you met Steve Murphy and Javier Peña it was love at first insult. You were the head female DEA agent hired to work alongside them in helping bring down the Medellín Cartel, and subsequently Pablo Escobar.  However, your transfer to Columbia somehow pissed both of them off.
Since you had arrived, all those two idiots did was piss you off one way or another.  They were the biggest source of your headaches and irritations to date, and one of the biggest reasons why you hated your current job. They wouldn’t listen to you, and they continuously left you out of the loop on information. To make matters worse, when they got bored you were the target of their practical jokes, like today.
Today was Valentine’s Day, and one day on the calendar that you wished you could just completely remove. You hated Valentine’s Day with a passion, ever since you found your ex-fiance balls deep in your sister on Valentine’s Day one year ago.  It was after that you found out that the man who you thought loved you had always cheated on you with your sister, from Moment. Fucking. One.  You were together five years with him, and apparently all those five years he was also fucking your sister every chance he got. You were happy to hear that her husband caught them in bed and had filed for a divorce.  You thought it was poetic how she lost a man who made a shit ton of money for an asshole who could hardly pay rent for his shitty apartment.  So when you took the job transfer to Columbia you felt okay with the situation that had happened, as shitty as it sounded.
But then last night your sister called you and informed you that she was getting married, and that she was pregnant too. She advised you that it would be best if you didn’t attend the wedding because of hard feelings the two of you had. When you asked who the soon-to-be husband and dad was, she had informed you that it was your ex-fiance and that they both were happy they found someone that loved them deeply. As soon as you heard that, you told her to ‘go to fucking hell,’ and then slammed the phone down. Out of anger and rage you grabbed the bottle of alcohol that was on the counter, and downed most of it in one go. Yeah, you weren’t going to that fucking wedding.
When you woke up and realized it was Valentine’s Day, you seriously contemplated calling in work sick.  But you remembered that you had a morning meeting with your bosses and you knew that Javi and Steve wouldn’t show up.  So you begrudgingly got up and showered, swearing underneath your breath of how life wasn’t fair.  You hated today, Valentine’s Day, with a passion.  Six years ago you met your ex on Valentine’s Day because he was stood up on a date, a date with your sister you found out much later.  Then last year, on Valentine’s Day, you caught him cheating with your sister.  How did life get so fucked up?
To add to your already sour mood, when you got into work early you noticed that all the rest of the females in the office had big bouquet of flowers on their desks from Javi and Steve. Each of them had a note saying that they really appreciated all the hard work that they have done, and that they were special angels for helping them out.  When you got to your desk you didn’t see any flowers or note telling you that you were special.  The only note that you saw was from Steve saying “don’t fuck up this meeting” and asked if you took your “anti-bitch pill today yet.” Yeah you hated this fucking day.
The meeting that was only supposed to be an hour went on for three long hours, and you were berated for two out of the three hours in the meeting. You had to once again mop up the mess that both Steve and Javi had created, promising to get results instead of excuses. Recently, all the leads that your department was getting in capturing Escobar were cold, no one had seen him or heard of him in almost a month.  Even when you went in and shook the crime tree, nothing fell out of place which made everyone uneasy, especially your superiors.
Finally when the meeting was over with you were able to return to your desk to try to let your heart and blood pressure return to normal.  When you approached your desk, you saw a little basket there with a pretty red ribbon with sparkles in it.  You looked around quickly to see if anyone noticed or was standing there, you also glanced quickly under your desk to make sure Steve or Javi wasn’t sitting there waiting for you to relax so they could scare you.  When you noticed nothing was out of the ordinary you felt your heart flutter in your chest, especially when the tag read “to the most special DEA female agent” in Javier’s handwriting.
At first your heart fluttered, thinking that finally someone, Javi, took the time to give a shit.  If you were being honest with yourself, you did like Javier Peña.  He was very sexy and attractive. When he wasn’t being an asshole, he was truly sensitive and understood the female sex with their emotions. You thought that he didn’t care anymore about you, but the longer you looked at the name tag on your gift, the more you thought that maybe you were wrong at your assessment. Your heart raced and you felt the heat creep up your neck at the thought that maybe Javi did see you as something more than just an individual who worked with him each day. But when you opened the basket and saw the gift that was laying there for you, your wonder turned into embarrassment as your face fell. Then when you read the note inside you saw red with anger. That bastard took it one step too far this time.
Tumblr media
Once Javi heard your voice he suddenly froze, slowly listening to where you were coming from.  When he realized that you were getting closer, he glanced over at Murphy with wide, scared eyes. He mouthed “shh, shut the fuck up,” when Steve went to open his mouth to ask Javi something.
As Steve stood there he was trying to understand what the hell his partner had done to anger you so much. He mouthed to Javi ‘what the fuck did you do man?’  Javi just shook his head and placed his finger to his lips to silence Steve’s further questioning.  He wasn’t trying to be a coward, but with how angry you were right now, he didn’t want to come face to face with you.  Yes, Javi had a knack for pissing you off so much that you’d threaten to kill him. But from how angry you sounded, he figured that if he was standing in front of you right now, that you would in fact shoot him dead.
Javi and Steve continued to stand in silence together for a few minutes. Javi was hoping that you would just continue down the hallway and not stop outside of this door.  For a moment it sounded like you had moved on, so much so that Javi felt himself visibly relax and let out a sigh.  But that moment was short lived.  When Javi heard the door knob turn he quickly said, “shit Murph, lie,” and then he ducked behind one of the filing cabinets against the wall.
“What the-” Steve said, looking confused, but for only a minute as you quickly came bursting through the door seething with anger.
“Murphy, where is he?” you said, steam practically coming out of your ears at how mad and pissed off you were at Javier Peña.
“I don’t-”
“Don’t give me that I don’t know shit. You two are practically glued together at the hip, so where the hell is he?” You bit back, standing right in front of Steve’s face.
“Woah, now wait just a second there princess, don’t be biting my head off. I don’t know where he is, or what he’s done, but you can just curb that attitude of yours and-”
“Don’t act like you don’t know what he’s done. This smells like both Peña and Murphy antics to me,” you said, crossing your arms over your chest.
“Well sorry cariño, I don’t know where he is or what he’s done.”
Huffing, you let out another long sigh, balling your fists up and slamming them tight against your side.  “This is what he’s done,” you said, shoving the box you were holding with the card in his face.  “And if you happen to see him, you can tell him that I’m looking for him.”
You went to leave, but Murphy blocked your exit saying, “wait a second here princess, don’t go and give me something like this and then take off. Let’s see what’s gotten your panties in a twist.”
“I knew it, it was your idea. I don’t get why you both have to always be so-”  But before you could finish Steve had opened the box and saw what was inside it.  Steve pulled out a pair of black lace panties that had a vibrator attached to them, and as he did he noticed the note at the bottom of the box.  The note was written in Javi’s handwriting and said, “for all those lonely nights baby, when you’re so wound up and don’t have a man that can be inside you. Enjoy.” Signed, Javier Peña.
Murphy was shocked at what he saw and couldn’t help but laugh out loud.  He knew Javi loved to rile you up, and he had to hand it to his partner, he definitely got you going. It was the perfect gift to get even for all those irritating moments the three of you had. But when he looked up at you he immediately froze, his laugh dying out in his throat. Your eyes were red and puffy now as frustrated tears streamed down your face. Steve could tell that the jokes maybe went a little too far this time.
“Sweetheart, we’re-”
“Don’t, just don’t Steve,” you said, grabbing the box and throwing everything back inside, not wanting to look up at him.  “I get it, it’s a joke. A really fucking mean joke, ya know. You all can have any woman that you want. And here I am, in Columbia, and I can’t even get sleazy drug lords to choose me when I’m undercover. Shit, I couldn’t even keep my ex-fiance faithful on this day. You guys will find this hilarious, last year I found my ex fucking my sister. Apparently he never wanted me, wanted her cause now they’re getting married and having a baby and I’m not welcome around my family any more, cause I guess I can’t keep anyone happy.  So nice of you to give the other girls flowers, and tell them how great they are when they don’t even fucking do anything for you.  Meanwhile I have five bullet wounds and several cracked ribs for covering your asses.  By the way, you guys are getting a raise in pay and I’m getting a 5 dollar reduction in pay.  Apparently the superiors feel that it’ll give you guys motivation or something. So yeah, you’re right, perfect joke.  Happy fucking Valentine’s Day to me.” And with that you left, slamming the door.
This was a joke that Peña and Murphy started with you about six months ago when you were placed undercover to go and try to extract information of the whereabouts of Pablo Escobar.  They placed you at a brothel, knowing that some of Pablo’s higher up men were going to come to choose women to give them sexual favors for the night.  With the help of a few informants, they had dressed you up and gave you pointers on how women acted in these places in Colombia.  Javi had made a joke at you that you were the highest paid prostitute on the street, but when it came time for Pablo’s men to take you, you were the only one left behind.  You weren’t ugly, you actually were quite beautiful, but that night Javi and Murphy had a hay day with you, as you were the only one that was not chosen.  To make matters worse, you had gone out with them that night and couldn’t even get a guy to buy you a drink at the bar, let alone talk with you.  And now the joke, you thought, had gone too far.  Humiliated and embarrassed, you went and gathered your things and left to go home for the day, not wanting to see anyone again.
After you stormed out, and Murphy knew you were gone, he walked over to where Javi was, facing the back wall. “You got her vibrating panties?” Steve said, shaking his head and laughing.
“At the time, I thought it was a good idea. But something got lost in translation I suppose,” he said, still not wanting to leave his hiding spot.
“Peña, let me give you some advice.  If you like a girl, don’t get her vibrating panties and then give her a card that says ‘for all those lonely nights when you don’t have a man.’  It just makes you look like an even bigger dick than what you already are.”
“Yeah, I realize that now,” he said, still not coming out of his hiding spot.
“Did ya know any of that other shit she was talking about?” Steve said, pulling a cigarette out and lighting it. Javi shook his head no as he came out of where he was hiding.
“Kinda fucked up if you ask me. Fucking her own sister and then marrying her.  Talk about a cold hearted son of a bitch.”
“Yeah, I never knew. Fuck Murph, what do I do?”
“You already know what you gotta do man. Or do I need to call her back in here so she can spell it out for you?”
“Fuck you,” Javi said, walking out the door to go find you.  He felt like the biggest dick right now.  The gift and note wasn’t a joke from him, and he hated to think that you felt like it was.
Tumblr media
Javi eventually learned that you had decided to go home for the day, leaving your work here. “She’s taking a sick day,” is what Maria, the secretary in the front office, had told him.  Javi had attempted to get some paperwork done, but he kept thinking about you and how hurt you sounded when talking with Murphy.  He didn’t mean for it to come off as a joke, in fact Javi wanted you to have the panties for a good reason, he wanted you to wear them for him.
Javi had been the biggest pain in your ass from the start.  He was always coming over to your desk, forcing you to work through his work, making you work in the field with him, etc.  To you it felt like he was punishing you for being good at your job. But in reality, he secretly liked you and wanted to be with you.  Javi didn’t know why he couldn’t communicate his feelings to you, why he always had to make fun of you or rile you up.  “I’m taking a sick day,” Javi told Murphy as he walked towards the door.
Murphy, who was still at his desk, said “Connie said she’s at home now.”  Connie was one of your best friends here in Colombia.  Being in a foreign country was hard, and making friends was even harder, especially what you did for a job. Your friends back at home disagreed with your career choice of being sent to Colombia, so your entire support structure was no longer there.  Connie was one of the nicest women you had met or seen in the longest time.  She understood your career choice, and didn’t hold it against you when your plans would change.
Javi had stopped and bought a dozen flowers from a street vendor before he got to your house.  When he knocked on the door he softly said, “querida, I’m so sorry. Please open up, I didn’t mean to make you cry, I-”
“Who the fuck said you made me cry Peña?” you said, opening up the door suddenly, looking up at him with bloodshot eyes, tears at your lash line.
“No one I, Jesus woman, c’mere,” he said, stepping inside and placing the flowers on the end table by the door when he saw your face.  He then reached for you, pulled you tight into his chest, holding you as the dam opened up again and the tears fell. “I’m so sorry baby, so sorry. I didn’t mean how it came out, fuck-”
“What did I do for you to hate me?” you said, voice muffled in his chest.
“Nothin’ baby, I don’t hate you, I-” he said, rubbing his hand up and down your back, trying to soothe you.  This was not going the way that he had hoped.
“I mean, I pull extra duty, and am one of the strongest hitters on the team.  Fuck Javi, I even have brought in more leads than Murphy and yet you publicly humiliate me.”  You said, as a sob broke free from your mouth.  You didn’t know why you were opening up, allowing Javi to attempt to soothe you.  You just didn’t have it in you to fight right now, too emotionally worked up to even care.
“No, no, baby. It ain’t like that, look at me,” Javi said, pulling you away from his chest and gently cupping your face with his hands.  “Querida, I got them for you and for me, for you to think about me.”
Shaking your head you stepped back and said, “what? Peña, what the fuck are you talking about for you and me? I’m not-”
“Shit, this ain’t coming out the way I wanted it to,” Javi said, pacing back and forth in your living room.  Javi was mumbling to himself, unsure of how to deal with the situation and correct it.  Not knowing how to place it into words, his feelings, he thought that he could show you. He immediately reached for you and kissed you hard on the lips.  Javi, once again, was hoping the kiss would show you that he cared, but all you read was he was being condescending once again. You immediately pulled back and found your strength and slapped Javi hard across his face.
“Javi, what the fuck do you think you’re doing?  Just because I’m crying, trying to understand why the guy I have a crush on hates me, doesn’t give you the right to-”
“I like you,” he said, rubbing the sting site he felt across his cheek.  Damn that woman could hit hard, he thought to himself.  You continued to talk overtop of him, not realizing what he just said. You kept saying how much of an asshole he’s been to you and how much you hate men as you’ve always been taken advantage of.  Javi shook his head at you, hearing words such as dickhead, asshole along with other words such as, pendejo and cabrón. You kept telling him off, not listening to anything that he had just told you.
With a sarcastic laugh, he said, “I can’t fucking believe you, you don’t listen baby.” He was now getting just as frustrated at you for not listening to him. She says I don’t listen, hell, she doesn’t listen.
All you heard was ‘I can’t fucking believe you’ and nothing else. Once again, you marched over to smack Javi hard across the face. But this time, he caught your hand mid-air saying, “I don’t think so cariño. You only get one free hit, and you already used it up for today.”
The sadness that you felt earlier had now turned into blinding anger and rage. You started fighting back.  You were done with men treating you like assholes, for cheating on you with your sister, for not listening to you or even attempt at paying attention.  You started hitting Javi’s chest, yelling at him and saying, “you’re an asshole,” over and over again.  You were throwing a temper tantrum, frustrated about the last few days, and Javi was your outlet.  However, Javi didn’t see your attitude nor behavior as enduring or even cute.  Him, having about enough of you using him as a physical punching bag, decided to take matters into his own hands to calm you down.  He grabbed your hand and threw it behind your back, slamming you to the ground while yelling, “Enough.”
You kept trying to kick him, to hurt him more.  You weren’t part of this planet anymore, you just saw red at reliving every shitty moment for the last six years.  Of taking the smacks to the face your boyfriend gave you when he was drunk and you questioned why he had red lipstick stains on his shirt and around his cock as you undressed him from a night out with his friends. What you didn’t know is that it was your sister’s lips that were around him, and not some other woman.  It didn’t make those moments easier, but you always thought that maybe it was just a one night stand, not a five year long relationship behind your back.
You kept kicking Javi, yelling that you were done with people hurting you, clearly not seeing him anymore. To help calm you down, Javi maneuvered his body so he was sitting on your ass, with your arm behind your back.  Your chest was laying flat on the floor, his chest then tight on your back as he snarled in your ear, “you’re gonna stop this shit, right now, stop trying to hit me.”
“Fuck you David-” you said, not realizing that you called him your ex.
“I’m not him baby. I never was, nor will I ever be him. So stop calling me David, my name isn’t fucking David.” Javi growled in your ear, leaning harder into you to get you to calm down.
You finally relaxed at hearing Javi speak to you, reminding yourself that he wasn’t your ex. As soon as you relaxed Javi released your arm, but stayed firm against you, hands on both sides of your head as he breathed hard and fast at the fight that you gave him.  It was then that you remembered everything that Javi and you were, everything that you were alone.
Sometimes at night when you couldn’t sleep you’d go back into work and find Javi working alone at his desk.  He’d always come over and ask you why you were showing up at work around midnight on a day where you just placed in 12 hours. Alone the two of you would always find moments where you could be soft with each other.  He’d order you both greasy pizza to eat at night and he’d tease you of picking off all the pepperoni. Nights where you were scared to be home alone, he’d take you back to his house and you’d sleep in his bed when he slept on the couch.  When you got shot several times, after you were discharged home, he’d stay with you in your apartment. He even slept next to you on your bed a few times.
He also bathed you when you got sick with a fever from the infection of the bullet wounds, and nursed you back to health for several weeks.  If you were being honest, Javi was your best friend when the two of you were alone.  But at work, he was the biggest dickhead.  You were jealous when he started flirting with the new secretary that came in, Phillis, and hated when you saw him at the brothel down the street.  Javi never attempted sex with you, and honestly, it upset you. You wanted him, but apparently he never wanted you.  So at work you took out your frustration the only way you knew how, you became a pain in his ass like he was a pain in yours.
But when Javi didn’t move, continuing to breathe hard in and out, you knew that something had changed.  You went to move your ass and immediately he hissed “don’t” as his hips stayed tight against yours, not moving nor letting you up.  After a moment of submitting to him you heard him ask in a strained voice “are you calm enough for me to move or do we have to keep you like this for a little longer?”
You didn’t know why you felt like saying it out loud, but you didn’t want to play this game of not being honest with him anymore. “I’ve calmed down, but Javi, I’d like it if you stay like this for a little while, hell you can even push deeper into me if you want.” You gave Javi a little wiggle of your ass at his statement.
The air around the two of you changed, thickening with sexual tension. “Shit baby, ya can’t say that to me,'' he said, slightly leaning forward and pushing his crotch tighter to your ass.  You felt him slightly rock back and forth, groaning at the feel of you beneath him.
You slightly arched your back, pushing up so he could kiss your neck.  When you changed the position both of you moaned loud in unison, feeling his hips slowly grind harder into you. You never remembered feeling this good by just letting a man grind into you, but fuck, Javi was slowly making you feel feral.
“Javi, I don’t-” you said slowly.
“No,” He growled, not wanting you to tell him to stop.  He couldn’t take it anymore, couldn’t hold back. He wanted so desperately to be deep inside of your warm cunt that he was struggling right now to keep his composure. “Fuck hermosa, feel what you do to me.”
But you were, you felt how much Javi wanted you and you knew how much you wanted him.  You laid there and let him slowly grind his hips into you again until something snapped inside.
“Javi, fuck me,” you said, pushing your ass harded back into him.
Javi immediately stilled his hips at your statement, looking down at you, trying to determine if what you were asking was what he thought.  When he didn’t respond again, you said with a little more bite, “Javi, you gave me a vibrator for all those lonely nights when I don’t have a man’s dick inside of me.  Please, I don’t want to use the vibrator tonight. For once on Valentine’s Day I want a man inside me that fucking cares. If you really care, please give me that.”
You felt Javi get off from you and walk away, towards the door, rustling around with something.  You laid face down in the middle of your living room, tears welling up in your eyes at being rejected once again.  You hated this fucking holiday, but when you let out a little sniffle you felt his hand cup your chin, turning you to the side. With the softest eyes possible he said, “come on now, no more crying. Now up you go,” as he helped you stand.  Once you were standing he smiled down at you and then gave you a slow tender kiss on the lips.  When he pulled back he held out the black lace panties in front of your face.
“Here, I bought these for you. Now, go and put them on, and let me see them on you.  Then I’m gonna fuck you like you deserve, like a man that’s wanted to be with you from the moment he laid eyes on you. Fuck what you stupid ex did to you last year-”
“And every year before,” you said softly.
Javi’s eyes got impossibly dark, anger and lust mixing with them.  He hated your ex, the man that broke you.  If Javi had to spend the rest of his life showing you that you deserved more, then he would do it.  Fuck his superiors, or anyone else that thought he and you shouldn’t be together.
“The fact that you say that makes me angry that any man would ever-”
“Forget it Javi, it’s-”
“No. Now pay attention sweetheart, cause I’m only gonna say it once. No man should ever make you feel like this, ever, you hear me? Now, go put them on baby, and let me see you in them. Then, I’m gonna take you to bed and show you how a man is supposed to treat the woman he cares about.”
“Oh, and how’s that Peña, what are you gonna do that makes me forget all the stupid shit other men have done?” You said, playfully nudging Javi and his cockiness that you have found you love.
Javi grabbed you by the hair and tilted your head back while whispering above you, “I’m gonna fuck you so good that you’re gonna forget every man before me, baby.  Then I’m gonna show you how a real man treats the woman he’s crazy over. It’s just you and me, and I’ll remind you of that every night before we go to sleep. There’s no one’s pussy I’d rather be buried in than yours. I only want to be balls deep in you, and not anyone else.”  Javi then slammed his lips onto yours and gave you a kiss like you deserved.
Maybe you had to have David be in your life and screw you over, because without him, you’d never have met Javier Peña. Javi was a real man that made good on his promises, of being the man that you needed.  Before the night was over, and after you came down from your intense rough sex with him, you found yourself looking into his eyes and seeing the potential for a future once again.  As Javi slowly rocked into you, making slow love at the end, he whispered, “you’re mine cariño, and I’m never letting you go.”  And that was the thing that tipped you both over the edge, moaning each other’s names and kissing each other like you both had just found your future soulmate.
Javi did make good on his promises, he never let you go.

Baby, it’s Hot Outside: Part 4
Welcome to: (Y/N) doesn’t know anything!
MDNI, 18+, Warnings: Omegaverse, dangerous situation, crowds, allusion to r*pe/sexual harassment/assault, heats, stranger danger
Masterlist
It doesn’t take them long to figure out that (Y/N) (L/N) has no idea what courting is.
She’s a beta, sure, and betas haven’t always been courted in the same fashion as omegas or even alphas. But that had changed in the modern age—even Gaz was courted by Price, and König made it a point to give just as much attention to Gaz as Soap while he was courting into the pack.
To be completely fair, they hadn’t yet asked to court her officially. Normally there’s this sort of pre-courting process, flirting and dates and smaller gifts, almost like a hint or a heads up before the formal ask.
Even so, the flirting went right over her head. She would laugh along, joke, tease back—but when someone compliemented her, really called her beautiful—she would blush, say ‘thank you,’ clear her throat and pick up the conversation where it had left of.
They would have thought she was turning them down, if not for her genuine confusion over the courting gifts.
Soap, the good omega he is, offered her a blanket from his nest. An awfully profound gift that spoke volumes, an item from an omega’s safe and private space, doused with the scent from each pack member.
“Oh, but this is one for your favorites,” she frowns, holding the ball of fabric in her arms.
“I ken. It’s the warmest one, too,” Johnny beams at her.
“You don’t want it?” She asks, tilting her head to the side.
“I want you to have it, angel,” he insists.
“Are you sure?” She asks as if he’s a child picking out a flavor of ice cream she knows he doesn’t like. “Because you know I have that big quilt my mama made me—“
“(Y/N), come on,” he laughs nervously, tamping down his growing fear of rejection. “It’s a gift. From me to you.”
She eyes him skeptically, looking at the blanket for a moment. “Alright. But no take-backs,” she jokes. “Thanks, MacTavish!”
And then she just leaves him standing there, a slight hop in her step as she walks down the hall towards the barracks.
Ghost, who had been listening the whole time from an adjourning room, takes to Soap’s side.
“The fuck was that?”
“I ‘ave no fuckin’ clue.”
Maybe it was a bad first gift, in retrospect. Betas didn’t have the same noses as the other designations. She might not be able to smell their scents on it at all. Maybe she just didn’t understand.
They keep trying. König takes her out to lunch, only to come back disappointed because she took the opportunity to talk about her favorite TV show and he couldn’t get a single word in. Not that he had the desire to stop her when her eyes were alight with excitement.
Ghost left her one of his hoodies, draping it over her duffel—and she gave it back to him the next day, thinking he’d put it with her things by mistake.
Gaz gets her a hat with the task force’s insignia…and she looses it the next day to a windstorm. She apologizes profusely, of course, but even with his arm slung over her shoulders, even when he presses a kiss to her temple, telling her it’s no big deal—she just doesn’t get it.
The last time they tried was a month prior, two weeks before the Mexico mission. They invited her out to the pub, adamant that they’d really lay on the flirting, sure that they’d finally get her to understand.
To say it was a disaster would be an understatement.
You and Soap head out early, something about getting a table before the pub’s too crowded. The sun periodically casts a golden glow on the buildings when it peeks out from behind the clouds, signaling sunset as the shadows get longer.
You two hold idle conversation, talking about work, mostly. It had been a busy, hectic week, hacking into cartel servers and pinpointing locations.
Every once in a while you bump shoulders to avoid other pedestrians. It makes you realize that some people are staring. Your brow furrows as you follow their gazes, mostly focused on Soap. He does seem a little less energetic than usual. A little less talkative, considering that you were carrying the entire conversation. His cheeks are flushed, but it’s been a hot summer.
“Hey, you okay?” You ask him, head tilted up to look at him properly.
“Yeah. ‘S just hot,” he sighs, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand.
“It’s just 80,” you reply, not completely convinced.
“Fahrenheit. How hot does it get back home?”
“We always get a couple of 100° days in the middle of summer—“
Someone bumps into him lightly, but it sends Soap stumbling. You catch onto his arm and stabilize him, finally noting how hot his skin is.
“Jesus! I think you’re getting heat stroke or somethin,’” you gasp, and he leans on you for support.
“I jus’ needta siddown. Pub’s there,” he points and you have no choice but to go. You try your best to ignore the stares from onlookers as you drag him along with you. They look concerned and it doesn’t help your hammering heart.
You decide that just sitting down won’t be helpful, considering that the sweltering pub isn’t even air conditioned. So you shove past strangers, muttering excuses and apologies, and take him into the women’s bathroom with you. It’s empty and there’s a lock on the inside of the door that you bolt.
“Just lean here for a sec,” you instruct him, leaning him against the wall instead of on your shoulder. You quickly take off your shirt, thankful for the tank top underneath, and soak it with cold water from the sink.
A groan of discomfort has your attention turning back to Soap, just to see him slide down the wall and onto the floor, sitting and plastering himself against the tiled wall.
“MacTavish! You have any idea how many diseases are probably on this floor?!” You curse, guiding his cheek from the wall, wiping his face with the cool cloth.
He chuckles, “yer so cute when you get that furrow in your brow.”
You just purse your lips, keeping the cloth against his jugular while you pull your phone out with your free hand, navigating to the dial pad.
He grabs your wrist. “Call Ghost.”
“I’m calling the police, you need to go to the hospital—“
“Call Simon. That’s an order,” he says, his tone serious although his eyes are half-lidded, cerulean focused on you.
You frown. Technically, he doesn’t have the authority to order you around. On the other hand, if Soap MacTavish was telling you to not call the police, then you weren’t going to.
“Fine.”
You dial the number and return to the sink, soaking it with cool water while the phone rings. It picks up on the second chime.
“What?” Ghost answers gruffly.
“Something’s wrong with Johnny,” you say, wringing out your shirt of excess water.
“What d’you mean? He alright?”
You set the phone on the edge of the sink and put it on speaker phone, kneeling next to your teammate once more.
“I-I don’t know— He all sweaty, his skin’s on fire. I think he’s got heatstroke, I should take him to the hospital—“
“Calm down. Where are you?”
“The bar, the lady’s room,” you say quickly, watching as Soap’s face contorts into anguish, tears spilling past his waterline.
“Lock the door. Do not open it for anyone, understand?”
“It’s locked—“
“Simon,” Soap whines, a whimper following a moment later. You gently shush him, wiping the tears from his face as they come.
“‘S alright, Johnny. Gonna be there soon, you’re gonna be fine,” Ghost soothes on the other end, his voice not losing its softness as he continues. “(Y/N), we’re almost there, darlin. You have somethin’ to defend yourself with?”
“I-I got mace, why?” You stammer, mind reeling with what the hell he could be talking about.
“Almost there. You use it if you need it, okay?”
“I—okay,” you agree, letting Soap pull you closer, his arm snaked around your waist.
You nearly jump out of your skin at the pounds on the door. “Hey! You can’t have him in here like that!” A man shouts on the other side.
“Don’t talk to ‘im,” Ghost instructs just as you open your mouth to speak.
The door shakes with the force of the pounding. “Hey! You hear me, you little—“
You don’t even hear the call hang up as there’s a muted thud from outside. You reach for your mace.
There’s a curt rap of knuckles on the door. “(Y/N)?” You feel your fear dissipate at the sound of Ghost’s voice, “you can open the door now, lovie.”
You have to wrench Soap’s arm off of you to get up and unlock the door. Ghost enters as soon as there’s enough room, no hesitation as he rushes past you and kneels by Soap’s side.
“He just got sick all of the sudden, I don’t know why—one minute he was fine and the next he was all hot. He was fine on the subway, I don’t understand—“ you ramble, only stopping when a hand on your shoulder startles you.
“It’s alright, (Y/N), he’ll be okay,” Gaz reassures you, his presence a comfort of its own. “You did everything right.”
You just nod, watching as Ghost lifts Soap (who seems to have calmed down quite a bit) into his arms and carries him out of the room. The back hallway of the bar is just barely large enough to fit your entire team.
König stands guard at one end but immediately abandons his post when Ghost calls for him, his eyes something dark like you’ve never seen—not that he even seems to see you. They exit the back door where a car’s already waiting in the alley.
The only thing stopping you from following is the captain, his hold on your upper arm keeping you back.
“We’re not going?” You ask, brow furrowed as you watch the door close.
“No, we’ll catch up with them later,” Price says, ushering you and Gaz out of the same back door; the car’s already gone.
“Where—they’re taking him to the hospital, right? I think he’s hyperthermic.”
“It’s just a fever, (Y/N), Johnny’ll be right as rain in a day or two,” Gaz soothes, maneuvering you to walk between him and the captain as you start down the alley.
“It’s happened before?” You ask, shocked.
“Happens four times a year,” Price informs you, a knit in his brow.
“Four tim—what, like every season? That’s so bizarre! What is it?”
“(Y/N)…He’s an omega. It’s a heat,” Price says.
“Ohhhhhh,” you say intelligently, your eyes widening. It certainly silences you, makes all of the pieces click into place—most of them.
You thought heats were only once a year. That’s what your cousin had said, at least. But it doesn’t explain why that guy at the door was so angry, or why Soap didn’t want you to call the police.
It confuses the hell out of you, but in the silence on the walk back and in the metro system, you decide it’s probably better that you don’t know.
You’ve heard some of the horror stories: how omegas used to be treated. How some of them are still treated. A knot forms in your stomach at the thought that someone would want to do that kind of harm to Johnny—at the realization that you were the only thing standing between him and cruelty.
What if the team hadn’t been there in time?
-
A/N: Hello! I hope this chapter gives more insight into the 141 + (Y/N)’s relationship before she presented. It should also explain why the boys were so angry at first when she presented—they thought that she had been lying this whole time, pretending not to know about designations and such. Furthermore, in my humble version of the Omegaverse, suppressants can take away scents and the ability to detect scents. Let me know if you have any questions!

A/N: This fic has been in the making for almost 2 years. I can't really explain why, but it took a long time and before I keep on editing it, I put it out in the world. I'm aware the last thing the CIA would do is send a single mother with her child to Columbia in the eighties but this is fiction and I don't want to hear complaints lol Also please let me know how you like the mood boards this year. I'm trying to change things up

“He’s starring again.” You looked up from the file you were reading, looking at your partner Enrique before you let your eyes wander to the desk across the room. You had been here in Colombia for a good three months now. It might have been the worst idea you ever had to take your daughter with you to one of the most dangerous countries in the world, but it was not like something was holding you back in the states.
You were used to the looks of all the men who thought they were more important than you.
More intelligent than you.
The whispers behind your back.
The catcalls.
How they always tried to talk over you. But they didn’t know what you knew. They didn’t know the resources you had. Working as one of the few women at the CIA as an active agent took a lot from you. But you did it for the greater good. You did not talk to many of the men working in your department. Except for your partner Enrique and your supervisor. You and Enrique had been working together back in the states and him coming with you was one of the conditions you had before you agreed to go. You needed someone you could trust if you would work here to help to take down the biggest drug cartel in the world. You needed someone you could trust your daughter with, apart from the two nannies the CIA was providing all around the clock.
Of course the safer and easier way would have been to stay back in the states. Where your daughter could play outside without being watched by at least one CIA Agent. But ever since your husband died almost four years ago on a mission, you had been searching for the change you needed in your life. And against all better judgement you found yourself agreeing to go and take your six year old daughter Eva with you to Colombia. Was it crazy? Obviously. Did it still feel like the right decision? Absolutely.
Javier Peña was looking at you, a cigarette between his lips. The first three buttons of his baby blue shirt were open and his finger kept rubbing over the side of his face. You nodded at him before you focused back on the files in front of you.
“Do you think he would still look at you like that if he knew about Eva?” Enrique whispered. You rolled your eyes.
“He can look at me all he wants. I know how good I look today,” you chuckled and made him laugh. You were wearing a white silk blouse and dark red dress pants.
You did enjoy flirting with Javier Peña.
He and his partner Steve were the only ones around here who actually talked to you. And in Javier’s case, try to get into your pants. And a part of you did enjoy the attention you got for him.
No one had looked at you like he did since your late husband.
And even though you knew it was dangerous to entertain his flirtations, you found yourself doing it. You found yourself thinking about him more often, even though you knew that nothing would ever come out of it. He was, well, he was Javier Peña. Fucking everything that just looked his way and you were a widowed single mom.
Of course you did enjoy it when he invited you for a drink after work at the bar around the corner. Who wouldn’t enjoy being invited for a drink by a handsome man? The problem you had was that he knew exactly how handsome he was and he knew how to use it. Because deep down, in the moments Javier Peña was just himself and not the guarded DEA Agent with commitment issues, you could see him as a man you could fall in love with.
“Why did we end up in this shithole again?” Enrique asked. You were about to answer when Carillo came back in, shouting in Spanish and everyone around got up and moved.
“What’s happening?” You asked, internally cursing yourself for not knowing more Spanish.
“Something about La Quico and a brothel?”
Tumblr media
There was something about La Quico and a brothel and you knew from the moment you heard about the intel and the plan that it would go to shit. Now, as you were standing outside, bulletproof vest still on, watching how body after body was carried out of the building, you kept shaking your head.
If any of these fuckers would have just listened to you.
Woman after woman was carried out. Dead. But your knees almost gave out when you saw your partner's lifeless body being carried out. Hugging yourself, you looked away from him and up to the sky to stop yourself from crying, They did not need to see you crying. You would wait to break down until you were home and after your daughter was tucked it.
You felt someone stand next to you.
“I’m sorry,” Javier said and you breathed in deeply, not looking away from the sky.
“It’s not your fault,” you answered quietly. Because it wasn’t. Javier actually had been more than vocal about what a shit idea this was in the first place.
“I’m still sorry,” you smelled the smoke he breathed out and you finally looked at him. He looked as tired as you felt. You reached for the cigarette between his lips inhaling the smoke yourself, before you handed it back to him. Steve came to stand beside him, the same tired expression on his face.
“I think we could all use a drink,” he said and you sighed.
“He’s been my partner for more than 8 years. And my friend for almost 20,” you shook your head, looking at Steve before your eyes fell back on Javier.
“I really wanna go home.”
“We’ll take you.” Steve said.
Tumblr media
You could still see the lights on in your daughters room and you sighed. You weren’t ready to tell her that her Uncle Ric wouldn’t be helping her with her Spanish skills anymore, that he wouldn’t help her paint her bedroom after he made the big plan for her to get her jungle book room.
“I’ll walk you in,” Javier said as the car stopped. You only nodded, saying your thanks to Steve as you stepped out and walked across the street.
“Are you okay on your own tonight?” He asked, as you opened the door to the house, walking in. Javier kept following you.
“I’m not alone, and I am planning on getting drunk and then cry myself to sleep. It’s Saturday tomorrow right?” You asked and he nodded.
“I guess I’ll see you on Monday,” Javier said quietly. You felt the tears in the corner of your eyes and you prayed he would just turn around and leave. You just nodded, your lips already trembling. The reality of how alone you felt hit you like a brick as you looked at the apartment door across from yours, where Enrique lived… used to live.
“Please go Javier. I don’t need you to see me breaking down,” you pleaded and turned away from him, putting the key into the lock of your apartment.
He sighed before he said your name. You felt his hand on your shoulder and against your better judgement you turned around and let him pull you against him, as you sobbed into his shirt.
You blamed it on the loss of your best friend, the need to feel something, that you just leaned in, your ear on his chest, listening to his heartbeat as his hands rubbed soothingly over your back.
“You are going to get through this,” he whispered. You enjoyed this moment. Standing outside of your apartment in his arms. He wasn’t being a flirt. He was just there to comfort you. You breathed in deeply, his scent in your nose and you had never noticed just how good he smelled.
“Thank you Javier,” you whispered and brought some distance in between you. Looking up into his tired eyes, the hint of a smile on his lips as he looked at you, you were more than grateful when you heard footsteps behind your door. Untangling yourself from him you brushed your tears away and put a smile on your lips just in time before the door opened. Eva jumped into your arms as you turned around.
“I missed you Mommy!” She giggled and you felt yourself smile as you picked her up and carried her in your arms.
“I missed you too, princess,” you whispered into her hair, before you set her down.
Looking up you saw Maria standing there with a tired smile on her lips.
“I tried everything Miss, but she wanted to wait until you’re home.”
“It’s okay. Thank you,” you nodded at her. She looked behind you and you followed her gaze, finding Javier standing in your door as if he was out of place. Maria nodded at him as she said her goodbyes. He stepped out of her way as she left.
“Either in or out Pena,” you said. He looked at you, about to open his mouth when Eva came back with a painting she had made today.
“Who is that?” She asked looking at Javier.
“That is one of the Agents I’m working with,” you explained nodding at him. He still looked between you and Eva like a fish out of the water before he shook out of it.
“I’m Javi. And I should go before my partner drives off without me,” he said the last words looking at you. You nodded.
“Bye Javi. Thanks for bringing my mom home safe,” Eva smiled, and you sighed.
“Go brush your teeth, I’ll tuck you in in just a moment, okay?” You smiled down at her, your hands brushing over her cheek before you leaned down to kiss her forehead. She nodded, waving towards Javier and left the room to go to the bathroom.
“She’s a…” Javier began.
“Yeah,” you nodded, walking towards him.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” He asked.
“You never asked,” you shrugged. He nodded. You could see the many questions he had in his eyes.
“Will the two of you be okay here tonight? Alone?”
“We will. Thank you. And now go, before Steve actually drives off without you,“ you smiled forced.
“Okay. I’ll see you on Monday?” He asked, sucking his bottom lip in. You nodded.
“Good night Javier,” He nodded too and turned around, slowly walking down the hallway.
“It’s Javi,” he called over his shoulder and you frowned.
“Friends get to call me Javi,” he looked at you. You had to smile at that before you finally closed the door behind you.
Tumblr media
Within two weeks after this day, everything had changed. You moved into the same building as Javi and Steve, after a brief visit to the states for Enrique’s funeral. You actually found a close friend in Steve’s wife Connie. But most of all the absence of your best friend had been hard on you.
You never actually told him how grateful you were for his help. And for coming to this country with you, just because you felt the need to change your life. You spend the nights crying yourself to sleep, feeling responsible for his death. If he hadn’t agreed to come down to Colombia with you, he would still be alive.
And you wouldn’t have to look into your daughters sad eyes when she remembered that Uncle Ric wouldn’t come around to cook her favourite meal. You never learned the secret on what exactly Enrique did with the mac & cheese that made her go absolutely nuts, and now you wouldn’t have a chance to.
Work had been one big mess ever since the fail at the brothel. And it took all willpower you had to not go around and tell everyone “I told you so”. You also had a new partner. Well, two. Steve and Javier insisted on you joining them. Not that you had a chance when you came back on Monday morning and your desk was standing a joined to theirs. You had spend the whole weekend crying when you weren’t around Eva and this had almost made you tear up again.
Javier had almost entirely stopped flirting with you, which was the biggest change. He had actually been nothing but nice and respectful and you were wondering what it was that made him like this. Not that you minded.
He made the effort to get to know you, asking little question here and there. Asking about Eva and what her hobbies were.
You were fascinated by this side of Javi you got to know now.
But somehow you missed the way he used to look at you.
Tumblr media
“What are you doing this weekend?” Steve asked, as you were sitting over another file of leads going nowhere.
“We wanted to paint Eva’s room. She chose green. And I absolutely hate it,” you chuckled.
“How come you never told anyone you had a kid?” He asked, leaning back in his chair.
“No one ever asked,” You shrugged.
“People don’t really talk to me because I'm CIA and I'm a woman. And I don’t speak more than 10 words of Spanish.”
“Yikes, we really are assholes,” Steve shook his head and you laughed.
“Well… You’re not that bad. And you have a wife that bakes cake, so you’re on my good side,” you joked and Steve chuckled.
“But what is going on with Javier lately?”
“So you noticed it too? I kept asking him but he just shrugged it off.”
“Maybe he needs to get laid,” you shrugged and Steve grinned.
“You offering?” You heard Javier’s voice behind you and you glared at Steve who tried not to laugh. Turning in your seat you looked up at the man in question. He grinned down at you.
“What if I told you I'm a lesbian?”
“That would only make it hotter,” he winked. You turned in your seat looking at Steve. “Okay I think he’s back.” You chuckled.
Tumblr media
“If you need any help, just say the word,” Steve said as you walked down the hallway. It was Friday and you had just come home. One of the perks of living together with Javi and Steve was that you could use one car to get to work.
“Will do, thanks!” You smiled.
“Help with what?” Javi asked, standing next to you. You were now occupying the apartment across from him.
“I want to paint Eva’s room tomorrow. And let’s just say it’s not my biggest talent. Enrique used to do things like that. He actually planned the whole thing,” you smiled sadly looking at the floor before you breathed in deeply and looked at Javi. He had a strange expression on his face.
“What about I’ll come help and you cook that thing you have been cooking last weekend?” he rubbed his moustache.
“You can come over for some food without working, Javi,” you said right away.
“You tell me that now? What is it you cooked there last week?”
“I’m trying to figure out how Enrique made his mac & cheese cause Eva loved it so much.” You said quietly. You could hear her laughter behind the door.
“Sorry. I… Fuck. I keep reminding you of his death,” Javier shook his head.
“You’ve been a big help. I mean it. And if you want to spend your Saturday painting my daughter's room, you are welcome to do it,” you shrugged. He smiled a little.
“Okay. See you tomorrow then.”
Tumblr media
One thing you noticed since moving was that Javier was a night owl. Of course you knew about his reputation but you didn’t judge him. He was an attractive man. If you were him you would use that to your advantage too. When Eva was in bed, and you were sitting in yours, a glass of wine in hand as you continued to work on files it was more than once that you heard just how much of a night owl Javier was. Either his women were very good actors or he really knew what he was doing.
“Mommy?” You heard the sleepy voice of your daughter and looked up from your book. She was standing in your door, her hair a wild mess. You looked at the clock. Nearly 1 am.
“Bad dream?” You asked. You saw her nod.
“Come here,” you smiled.
She climbed under your covers, snuggling to your side as you closed your book, setting it down on the bedside table.
“Wanna talk about it?” you asked softly, stroking away her hair so you could look at her. She shook her head.
“Okay,” you kissed her head.
It was a couple minutes later, you thought she was already asleep when she mumbled.
“You are not gonna leave me too mommy, right?” she whispered.
You gulped, pulling her closer towards you.
“I’m never gonna leave you baby,” you promised, your heart breaking.
She nodded.
“I miss Uncle Ric,” she said. You fought the tears.
“I miss him too,” you whispered.
Tumblr media
You didn’t know how long you laid in bed, watching your daughter fall asleep. You had questioned coming to Colombia from the beginning.
You had been looking to change jobs for a while, and the job in Colombia was the only job the CIA had offered to various agents who had all declined it. Now that you were living here, you knew why.
It was beyond dangerous to take your daughter to this country. The CIA took your safety serious, which could have to do with how your late husbands death, which happened on a mission the CIA fucked up.
You could have asked the CIA for everything and they probably would have given it to you, just to keep you quiet. And maybe you should just have taken the money they offered you, buy a house on the beach, settle down with your daughter somewhere safe.
But there was always a little part of you brain that wanted to…. Avenge the death of your husband who had died because he found himself in the middle of a cartel deal gone wrong in Mexico.
You looked at your daughter, hoping that your selfish decision would not cost her more of her family in the future, before you let yourself finally drift of to sleep.
Tumblr media
There was a knock on the door just as you finished washing the dishes from breakfast. Eva was wearing a bright blue kids overall you had bought while getting supplies to paint, running past you to the door before she stopped and turned around.
„Can I open Mommy?“ She asked.
„You gotta ask whose there first,“ you remind her and she nodded.
„WHO’S THERE?“ She yelled loudly through the door and you chuckled.
„Uh…. Javi?“ The man behind the door said, sounding it like a question. Eva looked at you and you nodded at her and she unlocked the door and opened it.
Javi looked at Eva then at you before he stepped into your apartment.
„Next time we need the codeword from you Javi,“ Eva said and he nodded seriously.
„What is the codeword?“
„Pancakes,“ she whispered loudly.
„Good morning,“ he said a little awkward. Eva threw the door closed behind him, before she ran back towards her room.
You shook your head amused.
„Good Morning Javi. Ready to spend time with a six year old girl who is obsessed with the jungle book?“ You asked, drying your hands, before you turned around to him.
He was wearing some older looking jeans and a white, very tight, T-Shirt.
„I have you know I have a lot of younger cousins. I think I can handle one girl,“ he said over confident and you nodded.
„We will see,“ you said, a smile playing around your lips before you nodded with your head towards your daughters bedroom.
Tumblr media
You stopped counting after the tenth time Eva insisted on replaying The Bare Necessities. It was a surprisingly fun day.
You had to admit that you had underestimated Javier Peña.
You knew he was good at his job, but you didn’t know he was good with children. He explained every step he made to paint the walls to Eva and praised her when she began to paint herself. And he listened to every story your daughter told him. Never annoyed with her, always asking follow up questions.
And once she brought out her little recorder and played the jungle book tape you even noticed him humming along to the song, making you smile as you watched them both together.
They had both threw you out of her room so you could make dinner, leaving Javi and Eva to rearrange her room now that it was finished painting.
You could hear them laugh and you found yourself smiling to yourself. You missed the sound of her laughter ever since Enrique died.
You had put the Mac & cheese into the oven when Javier walked into your kitchen.
He had paint all over his arms, his shirt too. There was a smile on his lips and you found yourself smiling back.
„Enough Jungle book?“ You asked and he huffed a laugh.
„For now. She’s rearranging her stuffed animals on her bed,“ he said, leaning with his hip at the kitchen counter, watching you.
„Oh good. This will take her at least an hour. She’s a little perfectionist,“ you said.
„That’s… That’s good…“ Javi hummed and you frowned, turning towards him. He had a hand on his hip, his other hand pulling at his lip as he looked at you.
„Why?“ You asked.
He seemed… nervous. His eyes focused on you, seemingly fighting with himself about something.
„Javi…“ you started but he stepped towards you, one of his hands coming up to touch your cheek, his thumb brushing over your lips. Your breath hitched and you looked at him with wide eyes, your lips slightly parted.
You were nervous, but not in a bad way. It was more… anticipation of what would happen next.
„Can I kiss you?“ He asked. Instead of answering you nodded slowly, seeing him smile before he leaned in and kissed you softly. Your eyes slipped close and his lips found yours. You felt his other hand come to rest on the back of your head, and he slowly guided you so your back was against the counter as he slowly deepened the kiss. His tongue brushing over your lips until you parted them for him, sighing against his mouth. You rested one of your hands on his chest, your other hand in his hair as he moved his lips over yours.
He rested his forehead against yours as he parted form your lips, both of you panting for air.
„Wow,“ you whispered, opening your eyes. He was smiling at you.
„Yeah,“ he whispered, kissing you again.
You both jumped apart when you heard Eva call for you. You felt like a teenager who got caught doing something they shouldn’t be doing when you looked at Javi. You both chuckled at each other and you took a deep breath.
„I should check on her,“ you said. He nodded.
„Go. I’ll keep an eye on dinner,“ he said. You ran a hand through your hair, before you turned around, seeing Javi adjust himself out of the corner of your eyes.
Tumblr media
Date Nights were not something you ever had before. Yes you went on dates when you were married, but there was never a big fuss about it.
Javier on the other hand, had taken you out every Friday night since you kissed. And it didn’t matter that you couldn’t openly date, not just because of work, but because the cartels had eyes everywhere, you were just happy to bet able to spend time with him outside of work.
Steve and Connie were happy to watch Eva for the evening, happy to have someone to play with their recently adopted daughter Olivia. You had been there in the house when Olivia was found. The scene still haunting your dreams.
Javier and you remained strictly professional at work. Of course there was talk about how Javier hadn’t been to a brothels in some time, but no one ever dared to ask, because he still got his intel from the girls.
You weren’t officially dating, but the both of you spend almost all your free time together. Things had become so domestic that even Eva seemed to realise things were changing. Not that you were hiding it from her. Javier had started to hang out at your place some more. Dinner for the three of you becoming a almost daily fixture whenever Javi was around and not working.
There were secret touches around Eva at the beginning until she caught Javier kissing you goodbye one night. She had a million questions for the both of you, and you had to give it to Javi, he answered every single one of them until Eva was satisfied, allowing him to date her mommy which you found beyond adorable.
You could never even entertain the thought of dating someone your daughter didn’t like.
That your daughter approved of this new man in your life made the change that was coming even harder.
Things in Colombia were getting more and more dangerous, leaving you to make the difficult decision to go back to the states. You had put in a request to get relocated which had been approved the week before.
You and Eva would be going back tomorrow leaving you to have to start over again. It had actually been Javier who had brought his concerns in the first place about you and your daughters safety up. You knew that coming to Colombia as a woman working for the CIA would put a target on your back. But the cruelty of the cartels and above all Pablo Escobar were at an all time high and to hard to ignore much longer.
So this Friday night would be your last date night with Javier for a while. He had taken you out to your favourite restaurant and held your hand all night, proud to show you off now that the both of you did not have to hide anymore.
It was the first time he kissed you in a crowded room, unafraid of who was watching. Because he knew you would be safe and out of the country in less than 15 hours.
And while the two of you had kissed for the first time almost three months before, you did not have sex yet.
Something you meant to change tonight.
You unlocked the door to your apartment, inviting him in. He had helped you put your whole life in boxes, promising to oversee them being shipped off to your new home.
„You gonna tell me where you going yet?“ He asked as you made the both of you a drink. You bit your bottom lip as you turned around, handing him the glass.
He knew you were going to Texas, he just didn’t know where.
Javier took a sip while you took one too before you set the glass down on the kitchen table.
„Laredo,“ you said and his eyes widened.
„I’m transferring to the DEA in Laredo, Texas,“ you added, waiting for his reaction. You never really talked about the future. But Javier was a man you could see yourself growing old with. You knew he had his own demons, thinking he did not deserve to be loved.
He had told you that he wanted to work on himself once he was finished with Colombia.
„Say that again,“ he asked you. He was looking at you with warm eyes, a smile forming on his lips.
„Eva and me will be moving to Laredo, Texas,“ you said, smiling yourself.
„Where?“ He asked.
„I found a house. But it needs some work. So I talked to your Dad the last time he called to ask for some help to find a contractor and he offered us his guest room,“ you said shyly. Javi laughed, shaking his head in disbelief.
He sat the glass down and walked to you, his hands crossing on your lower back, his chest against yours.
„You did this all behind my back?“ He asked. You nodded.
„Surprise?“ You asked and he kissed you.
„You gonna be on our farm?“
„Eva is already looking forward to learn how to ride a horse,“ you nodded.
„Fuck, she’s gonna have my Dad wrapped around her little finger in no time,“ he chuckled.
„Just like she has you?“ You asked and cried out in laughter as he dinged his fingers into your side, making you giggle.
„Rude,“ he said.
„But true,“ you shrugged and he kissed you again.
„I’m not complaining,“ he mumbled against your lips. You sighed as his lips slowly kissed down your jaw and then your neck.
„Javi,“ you gasped and he hummed against your skin.
„Please take me to bed,“ you whispered and he looked up at you.
„Are you asking me…“
„Yeah…“ you nodded, both of your hands resting against his chest. He took a deep breath.
„I need words,“ he clarified and you got on your tiptoes.
„I wanna have sex with you Javier,“ you whispered against his ear.
Tumblr media
He took his time undressing you, once you made it to your bedroom. His lips following a path of every inch of skin he revealed. When you were standing in just your underwear in front of him before he kissed you, mumbling against your lips how beautiful you were, before he helped you strip him off his clothes.
You gulped when you saw his cock for the first time, not really surprised at the lack of underwear on his side. Biting your lip you looked up at him, seeing him wink at you before he kissed you again.
He laid you down on your bed, his lips never leaving yours.
You moaned when you felt his weight on top of you, his arms resting next to your head to keep him hovering above you. You felt him rub against you, his cock rubbing against your stomach, making you both groan.
He slowly kissed down your body.
Your neck.
Your collarbone.
Right between your breasts. He looked up at you then a question in his eyes. You arched your back and he smiled as he reached around and unhooked your bra, slowly pulling it down your shoulders until he could pull it off.
„Beautiful,“ he hummed, his lips kissing the top of each breast before he sucked one of your nipples into his mouth. You whimpered, your back arching again, your hands playing with his hair to keep him close.
He moaned against your skin, his tongue playing with your now hard nipple inside his mouth.
„Javi,“ you moaned softly and  he released your nipple.
„Prettiest tits I’ve ever seen,“ he grinned and you felt yourself flush, giving him a shy smile.
„I wanna taste you,“ he said, kissing your other breast.
„Mhhh,“ you hummed.
His lips wandered down your body, his tongue dipping into your belly button with a grin before he kissed right above your panty line.
You released a shaky breath and he smiled at you.
„Can I take this off?“ He asked. You nodded, biting your lip. His fingers slipped under the fabric of your panties and he kneeled between your legs pulling them down. Both of his hand ran up your thigh as he leaned back down, his face resting just above your pussy.
„You’re so wet,“ he said in wonder and you smiled.
„Just for you.“
He hummed before his face lowered and his lips kissed just above your clit. He inhaled deeply, releasing a groan.
„Gonna miss this when you’re gone,“ he whispered and you sighed.
„Guess you have to come home to me quickly then,“ you said and he smiled as he looked up at you.
„I like the sound of that,“ he said.
„What?“ You asked.
„Coming home to you,“ he whispered before he licked into you. You grabbed the bedsheet beneath you as he began to eat you out, parting your legs even further. His big hands kept you in place while he devoured you. His tongue playing with your clit before it dipped down and into you.
„Javi please…“ you moaned.
„Please what?“ He asked.
„Make me cum?“ You begged and he chuckled.
„Already begging for me….“ He teased and you lightly kicked him in his side, making him chuckle before he leaned back in, eating you out until you were moaning his name, your legs shaking in his hold. He kissed your pussy after you calmed down and have you a proud grin and he leaned back above you, his lips finding yours to give you a deep kiss where you could taste yourself.
You angled one leg behind him, pushing him down against you.
„Fuck me, Javi. I want you inside of me,“ you mumbled against his lips.
„Fuck,“ he cursed. He grabbed his cock, lining himself up against your pussy.
You both moaned when he slowly sank into you. Inch by inch filling you smoothly until his whole cock was inside of you, filling you perfectly. His forehead came to rest against yours and you wiggled your hips, making him groan.
„Fuck…. Please give me a moment…“ he groaned and you smiled, pecking his lips. He kissed you slow but deep. Licking into your mouth.
You made out for a while before he slowly bottomed out and pushed back into you, keeping a slow pace.
„Feels fucking perfect, baby,“ he moaned against your lips, fucking you deeply.
You wrapped both of your legs around him, your hands on his back and in his hair.
„Shit I’m not gonna last, feels so good, he groaned and you felt one of his hands slip between your bodies, his fingers finding your clit.
„I want you to cum with me,“ he said and began to circle your clit while he fucked faster into you.
„Javi,“ you whimpered, arching your back. His head dipped down, sucking one of your nipples into his mouth. He pulled your nipple between his teeth, pulling it playfully and your whole body shuddered as your orgasm washed over you, whimpering beneath him just as he twitched and came deep inside of you.
You sighed, your fingers brushing through his hair as he kissed you, both of you smiling against each others lips.
You stayed like that for a while, just enjoying each others embrace before he slowly pulled out of you, pecking your lips. He went to the bathroom to clean himself off, bringing a washcloth to clean you too.
„I’m gonna get Eva from Steve and Connie’s,“ he mumbled against your lips and you nodded dreamily at him, watching him as he got dressed.
You got into your bathrobe and walked out of your bedroom just as Javi walked back into your apartment, a sleeping Eva in his arms.
Smiling at him you opened the door to her bedroom for him, watching him as he put her carefully into her bed. He had been doing this since the first date night, and it never ceased to amaze you just how perfect Javi fit into your life.
He kissed her forehead before he walked towards you, taking your hand to lead you back into your bedroom.
You knew you had to sleep but as you watched Javi strip out of his clothes and get into bed with you you were overcome with a sadness, knowing that his was the last time you would see him for a while.
You laid in bed, facing each other.
„I love you,“ you whispered, wanting him to hear the words before you leave.
He gave you a soft smile before he slipped closer towards you, his nose brushing over yours.
„I love you too,“ he whispered back and kissed you.
Both of you finding close to no sleep until it was time to get ready to leave for the airport the next morning.
Tumblr media
„Bye Javi,“ Eva sobbed as Javi held her in his arms the next morning. She was clinging to him like a koala, clutching his shirt in her tiny fists. He was still holding your hand.
Javi had gotten breakfast while you got Eva ready before he drove you both to the airport.
You saw him take a shaky breath, kissing her hair.
„I’m gonna miss you,“ she mumbled and you felt tears stinging in the corner of your eyes.
„I’m gonna miss you and your mom too. So much,“ Javi whispered, pulling you closer. He let go of your hand to put his arm around you, pulling you into the hug.
„You have to fight the bad guys. And then you can come live with us all the time,“ Eva mumbled and Javi looked at you. You gave him a watery smile.
„I’ll do my best. Be good for your mommy,“ he said and you saw her nod, before he slowly let her down. She hugged your side and you wrapped your arm around her.
„Be safe,“ you whispered looking up at him.
„I will,“ he promised before he kissed you softly.
„I love you,“ you said and he smiled, a tear now running down his cheek.
„I love you, too,“ he kissed you again.

This Week in BL - Cameos & Familiar Faces
Entirely subjective yadda yadda. Organized by favs in each category. No numbered lists anymore, tumblr be buggn'.
End of Aug Start Sept 2023
Tumblr media
Ongoing Series - Thai
Laws of Attraction (Sat iQIYI) 8fin - Oh the DRAMA. Why does the insane ex (my true love) remind me of the cartel leader from Romancing the Stone? Even the sides got HEA! It was fucking great!!!!! Charn remains a bonkers spoiled evil murderous brat with a cruel smile beloved by his one true paladin. Also: post it love note trope! Been a long while my old friend. NO SINGING!!!!! I do love that wedding jacket frock coat cape thing Charn wore.
In conclusion: This is a great gay suspense thriller with several solid couples, fun plot, killer characters, queer rep, and a happy ending. Charn may be my favorite lead character of 2023. However, this show is not entirely BL, more on the fringe, like Manner of Death. Add that to several "singing incidents" and pairs being a little weak in the chemistry arena, and this lands safely in 9/10 territory. It’s tons of fun tho: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
I Feel You Linger in the Air (Sat grey) ep 3 of 12 - This show is getting more and more lakorn each ep. Apparently the straights are having a class divide arranged marriage crisis. Who cares? Our boy is ALWAYS in trouble. Crazy that he has to save the people who betrayed him in a previous life - but I guess he chose revenge! That's unexpected.
Had to switch to grey and couldn’t find a working rip. It was frustrating and I wouldn’t have bothered except I like this show so much. Still, it means no screen caps because the rez is naff.
Tumblr media
Dangerous Romance (Fri YT) ep 3 of 12 - Uh oh. Kang wants to save Sailom and be his hero. The fact that K’s Pa puts no pressure on him whatsoever, makes me wonder if K's Ma committed suicide or something? It’s definitely the opposite parental dynamic we normally see in BL. I have to say, the pacing is great in the show. And the acting is on point. It’s really great.
Hidden Agenda (Sun YT) ep 8 of 12 - these two just kiss well. I mean not "rip your clothes off Taiwan-style," but sweet young boyfriends-esk. Joke wants to be claimed so bad. It’s great. I enjoyed this ep, unfortunately it looks like we have a manufactured angst drama drop in the next episode. Is this a 10 episode arc? I thought it was 12. It’s odd to have doom happening next episode already.
Tumblr media
Only Friends (Sat YT) ep 4 of 10 - Back story time! Ray and Mew are HARD to watch. Incestuous friend group gay is the worst. Omg I got such QAF vibes from this ep. Nick Boston Sand chats = very throw back 90s gay soaps.
Location game moment: Top's hotel room is also Chan’s apartment in Laws Of Attraction.
Naughty Babe (Sat YT) ep 1 of 8 - Ooo. Est is back! Hi handsome. Head of security suits you. Please lead out the new Waterboyy remake? You’re perfect for the role. (If it must happen.) Yi’s Pa is GREAT. Please give daddy a nice boy? Could that be our secondary couple for this series?
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, with the leads (sorry I was distracted by daddy) we got us an arranged marriage, run away bride, and an amnesia trope. Put in a secret baby and it's squarely 1980's Harlequin. Will there be Vikings? Sex herbs? Pirates? Dub con?
Be Mine Super Star (Mon Viki) ep 9 of 12 - Again with lovely sex scenes, it’s just the plot stringing them together is frayed. Also don’t fuck in an onsen. Both yech and ouch.
That goes for all y’all.
Wedding Plan (Wed YT & iQIYI) ep 7fin - Trash watch here! Honestly this was an okay ending, I’m not mad at it. If you can tolerate Mame and liars (kinda the same thing) you’ll be fine with this show.
Summation: An innocent wedding planner falls haplessly and hopelessly in love with a groom who relentlessly pursued him, even though he’s about to marry someone else. A somewhat lackluster mame offering with less of the usual stellar chemistry, but all of the usual lies and manipulation. 7/10
Love in Translation (Sat iQIYI) ep 3 of 10 - I skip everything to do with Tammy and it’s fine. There’s only about 20 minutes of fine but that’s more than enough. On the bright side. So far. No singing.
My Universe (Sun iQIYI) ep 2 of 24 eps - Cassanova Begins Part 2. Aw. It was sad. Another variation on the “my ghost boyfriend” trope (usually sad). 2/10 I don't do sad BL.
Next up is Merry Go Round featuring the pair from Destiny Seeker (we likey) who want to marry each other, but end up fake engaged to the same woman. Beard squared? Looks silly.
Crazy Handsome Rich (Sun Gaga) ep 1 of 10 - There are 2 things I like about this. I bet you can guess what they are.
Lee Long Shi
The whipping boy trope
There wasn’t enough of either in this first ep. ALSO the captions, sound effects, and voice over are truly next level bad. Utterly atrocious.
The 2 leads fucking around in the end credits was the funniest part of the whole show.
Ongoing Series - Not Thai
Jun & Jun (Korea Thur Viki) ep 7 of 8 - I am confused and frustrated about what the communication delay is between the two Juns. It feels artificial and narratively manufactured. But since this is a short form KBL and I know it will be resolved quickly, I’m not as annoyed as I would be if this were Thai BL. Still it feels audience manipulative. I also feel sorry for Simon. BUT it looks like it’ll be a sweet boyfriends final episode.
Tumblr media
Stay By My Side (Taiwan Fri Gaga) ep 10fin - Omg they’re so cute!!! Taiwan the purveyors of ultimate sappy gay domesticity. I am going to miss having these to nonsencing all over my dash.
This show was an interesting take on the "ghost boyfriend" trope. About a boy who is tormented by hearing the dead, except when he is around one other boy - desperation+proximity = love. Unfortunately, the story was erratic and waffled about. While the leads turned in solid performances and the sappy domesticity was off the charts, it never really had the strength of the narrative convictions such a strong concept should have supplied. Highly rewatchable and enjoyable for that sappy domesticity but not a whole lot more. Still I always give extra credit for the diabetes-inducing sugar content and rewatch capacity. 8/10
Kisseki: Dear to Me (Taiwan Tues Viki & iQIYI) eps 3 of 13(?) - I love the punching thing - there is a lot of violent flirting in this show. I’m not mad about it. Ugh, poor thing has real abandonment issues. And now trust issues. I see why we’re getting 12-14 eps. This gonna be MESSY.
Meanwhile, does EVERYONE have a guest cameo? Not that I’m complaining. Hi BLIHID boys! Now I need to rewatch that show.
Tumblr media
Love Class Season 2 (Korea Fri Viki) eps 7-8 of 10 - Oh my God the next morning w/ couple 2 was so darn cute. They are all such terrible flirts with each other. Honestly, this show makes me laugh more than any other BL currently airing. I’m not sure it is meant to be as funny as I find it. While couple 3 (the mature characters) is by far my favorite, I actually think they don’t work with the other two pairs, they feel superfluous to the show. I like the show better because they’re in it, but it feels like two different BL‘s stuck together. KBL certainly can’t handle more than two couple threads at the same time.
Why R U? (Korea Wed iQIYI) eps 3-4 of 8 - Ugh. I am such a sucker for the FighterTutor dynamic. Why so good? Uh oh. Real kiss! KBL you're spoiling us. But, isn’t sad-seme-hyung dating some chick? Argh. Poor Sunwoo. This show is even worse at repping Fighter's character sympathetically. Who knew that was possible?
My Personal Weatherman AKA Taikan Yoho (Japan Sat Gaga) ep 3 of 8 - The date episode! Even Japan is doing it now. And these two who have been living/fucking together for ages still dance around each other like junior high kids. I gotta say, I watch this one twice because Vicki has different subs from Gaga. I feel like it’s easier to understand if I watch two different translations of the same script. But it’s still quite a taciturn piece.
Minato's Laundromat Season 2 AKA Minato Shouji Coin Laundry Season 2 (Japan Thu Gaga) ep 8 of 12 - Sides are great. It was mostly a cute ep with tiny bits of Progress and a proper Confession. I miss Shin’s siblings. And then… the much loathed amnesia trope. Really?
Everyone say it with me: Must you, Japan?
Stay Still (Hong Kong Tues YouTube) ep 5fin - It ended happier than I was expecting. Optimistic for one couple, and most likely optimistic for the other.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summation: What to say about this offering from Hong Kong? It’s different, a mix of early CBL, Taiwanese shorts, and Pinoy visuals. It felt like the story was 2 independent shorts that had been lengthen and then stuck together, and I wish they'd been approached as separate and tighter entities. Nevertheless, this was a complex little piece,  interesting in a sweaty grungy way, with a certain aura of queer authenticity that made it simultaneously tense, unpredictable, and refreshing. I’m not sure I would necessarily call it BL, but any county’s early foray into the genre usually starts out this way, so perhaps nascent BL? Worth watching, especially if you enjoy stuff from the Philippines and Taiwan. 7/10
In case you missed it
Dinosaur Love ended its run but the final 2 eps are behind a paywall. Word on the street is they aren't good anyway (shocker) so I'm marking it as DNF and moving on with my life. If I can find em grey I'll watch 'em merely so I can give it a rating, but I can't imagine it will get more than 5/10. Seriously, do not bother.
Next Week Looks Like This:
Tumblr media
Coming September
9/15 You Are Mine (Taiwan Gaga) Secretary has to deal with grumpy boss.
9/15 Bump Up Business AKA Bump Up Project (Korea movie) suspected cinema release? I don't know much about what's going on. Last status update. Love story between a trainee who is about to debut and a celebrity from the same agency. Kpop boy group OnlyOneOf has signed up to star in this idol-based BL (based on a webtoon). They’ve been auditioning for this since Libido IMHO. You can watch me chronicle their BL MV series in this post. It’s from Idol Romance who will do sad but can do good kisses (Wish You, Nobleman Ryu, Once Again, Kissable Lips, Poongduck 304, Tasty Florida, Tinted With You).
9/26 I Cannot Reach You AKA I Can't Reach You AKA Kimi ni wa Todokanai (Japan ????) - Adapted from the manga, childhood best friends: The cool, smart one who’s good at everything, and his average, dorky friend who struggles. Always by the other’s side, but not together in the way they truly want to be. No matter how hard they try, their hearts cannot reach each other.
9/27 Absolute Zero (Thai iQIYI) - from 2021, Studio Wabi Sabi and New Siwaj finally bring us this “time loop to prevent tragedy” romance. We don’t always get HEAs from them, so I'm on my guard.
9/? Venus in the Sky (Thai iQIYI) 10 eps
9/? Mr Cinderella 2 (Vietnam YouTube?)
2023 forthcoming BL master post (see comments, some are inaccurate, NOT KEPT UPDATED).
THIS WEEK’S BEST MOMENTS

Tumblr media
I think these two might be GMMTV's best cuddlers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media

You’re Gonna Be Okay.
Alex Vause (Oitnb) x fem!reader
—————————————————————————————————————
Summary: When your girlfriend Alex starts acting distant and upset you will do anything to get to the bottom of it.
Warnings- slight angst, mentions of murder and blood
—————————————————————————————————————
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
————————————————————————
Being in Litchfield Penitentiary wasn’t exactly your ideal situation, But being in a relationship in with your girlfriend Alex was. You two met while working the same job for a drug cartel—hence why you are in prison. Another member of the operation ratted everybody out but luckily you and Alex were both sent Litchfield. You were serving a sentence up to four years.
Every morning was the same. Getting up at five in hopes to take a shower and get ready before everybody else does. Then you would met Alex and the few inmates you could call friends. But this time, things were different. Something was way off with your girlfriend. As you were sitting down you gave her the usual kiss on the cheek and the “Goodmorning Vausey” which usually was reciprocated with a smile and a peck from her. This time she just grumbled something incoherent and brushed you off.
“What’s up with you this morning?”
You look around at the others in hopes for some form of clarity but all you get it shrugs and concerned looks. You decide to drop it knowing that whenever Alex was ready she was come talk to you. You place a comforting hand on her back as you talk to Nichols and Morello, a silent way of letting her know that you are here for her.
You didn’t see her much the rest of the day since she worked in the laundry room and you were helping plant things in the garden with Red. Something was off there too though. Lolly who was still fairly new to the prison just got assigned to work in the garden, would seem nervous and panicked whenever someone went into the shed to grab more tools. You brushed it off because lolly always kinda seemed weird and jumpy.
A C.O blew the whistle signaling that work time was over and all the inmates outside headed into the cafeteria for dinner. Sitting down at your usual table you noticed Alex wasn’t there which is odd because she always beats you to the table.
“Where’s Alex”, you ask the table of other inmates.
“She went back to her bunk after lunch, haven’t seen her since. She completely missed her job in the laundry room”
You furrow your brows at the statement from Nicky. It’s not like her to sit in her bunk all day, even if it is better than being stuck down in the basement with Pennsatucky. After attempting to eat whatever concoction they came up with in the kitchen, you grab your uneaten bowl of fruit and head to your girlfriends bunk, hoping you can coax Alex out of whatever mood she’s in.
“Alex, baby?”
You call when you finally reach her room, it being just her in there since everyone was already at movie night. She’s laying on her side in her bed, facing away from you. You place the bowl of fruit on the desk in her cubicle and step closer to where she’s laying. Gently you place your hand on her shoulder. She quickly sits up in bed, obviously she hadn’t heard her when you called her judging based off her startled appearance.
“You wanna tell me what’s going on or are you just going to push me away again?”
She sniffles then wipes her eyes trying to compose herself. She always was afraid of letting other people see her cry. But there was nothing she should be scared of. Seeing her cry does not change how you view her. She clears her throat, trying to find the right words to say before she finds them.
“You know that guard I was talking about, the familiar one that I thought worked for Kubra?”
“Of course, did he do something??” You ask worriedly.
“Kubra hired him to kill me—and you”
“Did he hurt you Alex?!?” You say even more panicked than you were 5 seconds ago.
“He tried to shoot me in the shed.” She said shakily, blinking back tears.
You gasp and step closer to her. Taking her face in your hands.
“Lolly fought him off. We thought he was dead so we buried him under the floorboards but, he moved.” “Red figured out what happened and we had to—to” Alex says stumbling over her words, the tears falling freely as your own eyes start to water at the thought of someone trying to hurt her.
“We cut him up and planted him in the garden.” She takes a deep breath before continuing. “I—I didn’t want to kill him. It was never supposed to go this far. But I couldn’t let him hurt you.”
She gets up from where she’s sitting and kneels in front of you, burying her face in your stomach. Hearing your breathing grounds her and reminds Alex that you are safe.
“Oh vausey…”
“It’s okay, it’s gonna be okay”
“You did what you had to do in order to keep us safe”
You pull her up so she’s standing in front of you. Pulling her into a tight embrace, never dreaming of letting her go. Your blood boiling and heart shattering at the thought of how someone tried to hurt her. And what she was forced to do to protect herself. It almost makes you wish you were the one who got to kill him.
You maneuver yourselves so you are sitting down on her head and she’s sitting in your lap, letting her cry into your shoulder. You stroke her hair, giving her all the time she needs to regain herself. After a while she looks up from where she was laying.
“You’re not mad or scared of me?” She says worriedly
“How could I baby? It was self defense. I would have done the same thing if I knew somebody was trying to hurt you.”
“Thank you.” She says
You giggle softly before answering, “For what?”
“For not being upset or freaked out.”
“I could never be upset with you. We’re in this together.” You say as you hold out your pinky. She sniffles but interlocks your pinkies and presses your foreheads together. Both of you falling asleep like this, knowing that both of you are safe.

This isnt apart of the game,(which is so fun and im loving learning about ppls vamps) but im feeling bold and not socially afraid- what IS/Was the deal with noa and her brother? What are her thoughts/feelings after all this time?
Tumblr media
Ohhh thank you for being interested! I'm sorry if this comes out super rambling and incoherent! I guess it'd just be best to tell their story! It's really not as black and white as it appears, and feelings are extremely nuanced and messy when it comes to family and abuse. It seems easy as an outsider looking it to make commentary and theorize about what you would've done, but you just never know!
Joaquin Hidalgo is the eldest son to Vincento Hidalgo-Giovanni and his wife Ingrid Giovanni. The Hidalgo bloodline had only been a part of the Giovanni clan for a few generations, and young Vincento was a necromancer prodigy who married a main clan daughter who would bear his children and continue the family line. They were blessed with three sons - Joaquin, Eduardo, Ferdinand - and a little daughter, Noa. By all means they were very normal for a incredibly rich family with dealings in the local cartels of Mexico and the secret vampire clans that trace back to Italy. The parents seemed to get along, the children were growing up fine and developing their own ways and personalities. Joaquin certainly felt pressured as the eldest, but it was still "normal."
One evening the family was going out in a chauffeured vehicle, probably to dinner or maybe even a movie, when they were suddenly gunned down by unknown assailants. Joaquin at the time was thirteen and tackled little Noa, freshly seven, to the car floor where they dodged the hail, but the rest of the family were not so lucky. Mother and their other two brothers were killed instantly, while their father had seconds after to try and say something but ultimately couldn't, and the fresh orphans watched him die beside the rest of their already gone family. Joaquin promised Noa next to their bodies that he would never let her be hurt like this, and she believed him, and they vowed to be together for eternity. Not long thankfully after they were pulled from the car by people who called themselves their "family," where they were taken home and a bunch of strangers busied themselves with getting funerals set up and other various grown up things. A few days later, their father comes walking through the front door. Paler, walking with a cane from his injuries, strangely colder in personality, but THERE. Joaquin immediately felt like something was wrong, but Noa interpreted this as a miracle.
Over the years, Father ruled the house as a father would, but he ran it a bit crueler, a bit more seriously. Joaquin, having been old enough to really get that things were off, bit back and fought, and was often put back in his place through physical violence. Noa watched him go through this and learned to keep quiet if she wanted to not be struck. When she got old enough, Father finally revealed the vampiric nature of their bloodline to the both of them. Noa was then ghouled as soon as she could, her body still young, practically stunting her - but it gave her access to incredible magics. Joaquin was ghouled and practically made a mad dog bully for the human side of the clan, which pissed him off further. There was a weird mixture of feelings between the two of them - the jealousy of seeing his baby sister succeed where he always failed, the relief the pressure wasn't on him to be a necromancer, the fury of seeing her adoration and love of family being used to manipulate her. He loved Noa, she loved him, and things grew more and more confusing. He was allowed to go out but nothing satisfied him, especially when he took more and more vitae. She was locked inside the house for her protection, and also to study. In our personal headcanon (though this may be canon for Gio Ghouls??) the vitae makes one fiercely loyal to the Giovanni, and it twists one up to chase after family. Things did get a little "far" between them during this time, but they never fully culminated anything. Things got worse for Joaquin when a Tremere ghoul contact joined his little posse - Nythanel Loken - who became his sister's best friend and biggest advocate. Everything was coming up Noa and it bothered him, and there was a million confusing reasons why.
He finally decided to put his foot down when she revealed that Father told her that she would be Embraced. She was so excited, and then he was told straight from Father later he was going to be shipped off to Italy to both learn things and marry into a bloodline to essentially be a baby pumping factory until he was found worthy of an Embrace or died. No Noa, no real future other than providing some genetics. He knew through his contacts where to find the Sabbat, and he led them right to the family compound to rid the world of one more vampiric smear. However the Sabbat being the Sabbat went harder than he wanted - capturing him and killing and enslaving the spirits of many who were there and not giving him his sister. He had no idea where she was, but she wasn't with him. Eventually he escaped their clutches and ran to America, completely alone. He then dedicated his existence to becoming a hunter, using his knowledge during his time as a ghoul against vampiric scum and even other supernaturals. He met his buddy Ray who joined him for a few good years of hunting, and then it all came crashing down when he found Nyth and Noa again in Reno Nevada in 1993. It's been over a decade since he knew of Noa's whereabouts, and now he was so close. Years and years of weird feelings were crashing back, because it was all real again. He was past forty now, getting desperate to cling to something beyond hate again.
Eventually - Ray was killed by Joaquin for nearly killing Noa, and they were finally together for good this time. No Ray, seemingly no Nyth, and the family out of their hair. He clumsily culminated their long awaited reunion in a motel they ran off to hide in while she still mourned, Nyth's body close by, Ray's left behind, and poor Julian the ghoul in the next room over. Noa afterwards insisted she make a plan with the family to get Nyth back to her, which pissed Joaquin off but he was in love and back with her again so what could he do.
She told him they could be together for good when he was Embraced by her or someone within the family, but he staunchly refused to be turned. He never wants the vitae again, he never wants to become a supernatural creature. He wants to be with her for Eternity, but he cannot become an immortal. This is the defining moment that leads to his demise at her hands. As she worked with the Family and eventually the Setites to bring Nyth back to full health, Joaquin grew more and more irritating and controlling. He hated her deeper descent into Necromancy and dealing with two-faced Kindred, he hated her pulling away from him when they were finally together. She was clearly furious with him, and it felt like it was falling apart.
One night she was sweet to him again, saying that it was all almost over. Nythanel's notes and her own studies mixing with Setite sorcery were going to bring her friend back. They just needed a body to house Nyth. Joaquin killed Julian the ghoul for Noa, and together they prepared the ritual to "resurrect" Nythanel. Joaquin also had the gut feeling this night wouldn't just end in Julian's death, but his own. Noa approached the ritual room dressed in something clingy, and when Nyth and Julian's body was prepped, she explained the rest of the ritual required more blood, more life. They were together for the last time, Noa drinking the vitae direct him him, and in his own terrible way he was happy. She was happy. He was finally satisfying to her. Joaquin died happy.
OKAY SO. It just feels so rambly! Feel free to ask for more specifics I TRIED to do bare minimum but uh….
Noa after this time loves Joaquin, and she still can't let him go even now in modern nights. She knows his spirit is out there, and he will make his way back to her somehow.
It's just very confusing because yes, he took advantage of her and abused her, but she loved him so much. They in a way were all the other had, they just coped very differently… ahhh. Sorry. I don't know if I'm really relaying everything properly! Thank you for asking!!!

I was rereading your blurbs about Walter, Jesse, and princesa and I was just thinking about what it would be like if Walter and Lalo interacted. So they’re like at eladio’s house for one of his cartel parties (because I love that scene) and we all know how Jesse and Lalo are when they’re in the same proximity, but Walter and Lalo? I’m thinking that Walter slips up and says something to Lalo about how reader had so much more potential other than just being pregnant with lalo’s babies, and well, lalo is just hearing kill bill sirens. And everyone around them is just like 😳🤦‍♂️🧍‍♂️, like even Jesse knows not to say that to the dangerous cartel member with a GUN. And princess is just in the background with her bebes playing with them in the pool.
You just know Walter was so happy to have a good student with so much potential. Constant classes of kids who didn't care or the obvious overachievers who only cared about the grade, not the science. He would always favor the latter - but a young Princesa, quiet and kind, sat right next to Jesse. It's just a shame to him. She was such a good student, and she's ended up here.
I feel like Lalo would never let his little ones around Eladio, especially during one of the parties, but her very pregnant and shyly showing Jesse photos of her kids? Yeah, that's happening. Lalo's watching them.
"Was she your favorite student?"
"I..." Walter's head is tilted slightly, curved in the neck. "I made sure to never pick favorites. I had the students that made days frustrating and she wasn't one of them. She had a lot of potential."
Walter takes a sip of his drink, lips curving down to say 'Well, so-so.'
"I actually remember trying to help with figure out what colleges she wanted to go to. She could've gotten into any of them. I never did that with Jesse. He knows."
Lalo stares, not one sip taken.
Meanwhile, Jesse's scratching his head at all these photos of all these...kids. Isn't she his age? They're not over thirty and fucking grey and there's like four of those fuckers. And another one on the way. They're cute, though.
"Yeah, man - I see your face in that one. Fucking genes, maybe if Mr. White taught biology instead cause yo...that's like a mini...Mexican you. I don't know why I'm saying if Mr. White taught it, I would've failed bio even harder."
"That's what Lalo says, but I think all of them look like him."
Lalo stares, not one blink taken.
"Had potential?"
Walter meets the man's eyes.
"I mean, she's made herself happy. I'm glad to see it. She was always quiet - and not that a quiet nature means a depressed one...but seeing her happy here. It's - it's nice."
"...But you don't think what's making her happy has brought her to her true potential."
Walter's mouth parts. "No, no. I didn't say that. I always did think she was going to do more, but it's the bare minimum that I never - never really thought about my students when it wasn't needed. I didn't-I never imagined what her life would be like."
Lalo keeps staring. It's not an invitation to keep talking, but it's Walter. He'll keep talking.
"I did think it would be more the a plethora of children. It's surprising to see that make her so happy...and at such a young age, but maybe I'm just projecting what it would be like if someone like...say - Jesse, if Jesse went ahead and had a kid right now, he has the potential to do more than have five and do nothing else."
And that's the mistake the turns on sirens in Lalo's head.
Princesa and Jesse has overheard, along with a few others. The few others may not understand the exact context of the situation, but it's making their blood cringe in the stream.
Princesa sniffles. Jesse closes his eyes. Lalo's staring at the glass in Walter's hand, he wants it to crack and come onto the old man's skin. Fucking gringo - telling him about his girl.
She doesn't need to be anything else, and he needs to bleed.
Not here, though. Not now. Princesa's so happy today. And Walter...Walter's just unwell.
Princesa doesn't need to be anything else, she could do anything, but no fucking bald punk in a khakis is gonna tell Lalo or her that she should be doing more. Walter shouldn't think he's smart to believe that.
But not here. Not now.
"Princesa, let's go. I bet they're missing you and I know you forgot to take your vitamins-"
"I didn't-"
"You can argue. Don't make you right."
Lalo holds her on the way out, he doesn't let her say goodbye to Walter or Jesse.
"What?"
"...You wanna fucking kill us, man?"
Lalo has to hold her hand during the car ride home.
"Your old teacher is a fucking fool, Princesa. You don't need to be talking to him. I think he got the...the dementia. But you don't need to be talking to him."
He boldly sucks on Princesa's thumb before she can find anything to say.

The Barbarians were scattered around Bobby’s bustling casino, deciding to partake in some leisure time since they’d already been there tending to business. It was a Saturday evening, and the place was packed, more so than Jake had ever seen.
The machines lining the walls had every seat filled, and every table had players rolling dice and slinging cards in hopes of striking it big. Some patrons seemed uneasy with the Barbarian’s presence, especially given their rowdy behavior fueled by the free-flowing drinks. But no one dared to say a word or throw them out—they practically owned the place.
Jake, though present, was seated alone at the bar. His mind raced with thoughts of you and the baby, making it impossible to fully engage in the revelry surrounding him.
Ace was busy at the blackjack table, but when he took a break, he found Jake sitting alone, clearly not in the best spirits. Ace had noticed his quietness all day but had chalked it up to a lack of sleep.
Crossing the large game room, Ace took a seat beside Jake, signaling the bartender for another round of drinks.
“What’s going on, kid?” Ace’s gruff voice pulled Jake from his racing thoughts. “I’ve hardly heard a peep out of you all day. Now you’re sitting over here moping at the bar.”
Jake chuckled, though it was devoid of humor. “I’m not moping, Ace,” he paused, wondering if this was a conversation he wanted to venture into at the moment, “It’s Cherry.”
Ace’s face contorted with concern, wondering if he and the club would need to handle something on your behalf.
“She’s pregnant.”
Ace’s reaction was animated, though he did his best to mask his surprise, taking a swig from his freshly prepared drink. Damn kids, he thought to himself, as if they’d never heard of a condom. Though he knew you and Jake were far from children, in his eyes, you were.
“She keepin’ it?”
Jake’s glare immediately answered his question, and Ace threw his hands up in defense. “Just thought I’d ask. You still don’t seem too thrilled, though.”
Jake took a sip from his drink and sighed, dropping his head before looking back at Ace. “I’m terrified, man. What the hell do I know about being someone’s dad?”
“Being a father ain’t easy, especially your first time around,” Ace agreed. “Never had any of my own, but I’ve done enough work helping raise some of you knuckleheads to know that fatherhood is one of the toughest jobs of them all. Tougher than being a Barbarian.”
“Yeah, well, other than you, we all know I didn’t have the best role model when it came to being a parent,” Jake scoffed, shaking his head bitterly. “What if I end up being a crappy dad like he was? What if years down the line my kid ends up hating me like I did Rex because I didn’t live up to the father I was supposed to be?”
Ace understood all of Jake’s worries; it was only natural for someone in his position. However, he knew most of Jake's fears were unfounded.
“I don’t see that happening.” Jake was gazing down into his empty glass, but when he heard Ace’s words, he looked up.
“I think you’d run laps around Rex when it comes to the father department, because you know what it’s like to have been in that position. I don’t see you repeating history,” Ace said, shaking his head. “You’ve got too much in you for that.”
Ace’s words were comforting, but they addressed only part of Jake’s concern.
“And what about all this, Ace?”
“All of what?”
“This,” Jake gestured between himself and Ace, “being a Barbarian. What kind of quality of life will my kid have if I bring them up around all of this? We’re knee-deep with a homicidal drug cartel leader, and God knows what else lies ahead. I can’t subject my kid to that.”
Ace shrugged. “Barbarians have been doing it since the beginning of time. I don’t see why you can’t.”
“Yeah, well, we see how that ended up for a lot of them. Some die and leave kids behind. Some run them and their mothers off before they even get a chance to know them. And if that doesn’t happen, one way or another, the life always finds a way to trickle down.”
The flirty bartender came over to top off Jake’s drink, sending him a wink. He rolled his eyes and snatched the glass off the counter. “I don’t know how I’m gonna do it, but I have to. Cherry needs me.”
“Mhmm,” Ace agreed, “that’s right. And with that being said, I’m confident that you’ll figure it out, no matter how you decide to go about it. You’re a smart kid, Jake, always have been,” he patted his young friend on the back. “I don’t see you not being a good dad, and that’s the honest truth.”
Jake was thankful for Ace’s words, and though he could’ve kept going, he decided to leave the conversation as it was.
“Now,” Ace said, brightening up, “will you please stop sitting over here throwing yourself a pity party and come have some fun? You’ve always been a wiz at blackjack.”
Jake smirked. “Fine. One game, though. Then I need to head back.”
Ace nodded, understanding Jake’s new responsibilities. “One game will satisfy me.”
Jake finished his drink, feeling a bit lighter. The future was uncertain, but with Ace's support and the determination to be there for you and your baby, he felt ready to take on whatever came next.
Tumblr media
You sat on the sofa as an old sitcom hummed through the dilapidated speakers, though your attention was elsewhere. You glanced at the clock every so often, wondering when Jake would return, if he returned at all.
You had plenty of faith in him, but the uncertainty of your situation made you fear he might decide to leave. Truth be told, if you could, you might have considered the same.
Just as your thoughts began to sour, you heard the front door squeak open. Jake shuffled in with a large bouquet of red roses in one hand, his helmet tucked under the other arm.
“Jake,” you shot up from the couch, “you’re back.” The surprise in your voice was evident, and it made him feel even more empathetic towards you. He’d been distant the past couple of days, not intentionally, but it was enough to make you feel deserted and uncared for. This small gesture was his way of reassuring you.
“Of course I’m back,” he grinned, feeling a pang of guilt at your surprise.
“Are those for me?” You blushed, making your way over to him.
“What, these?” He joked, setting his helmet down. “No, actually they were a gift to me, from Nicky, of all people.”
You laughed and gave him a playful shove. “Shut up.” He handed the bouquet to you, and you admired them before smiling up at him. “Thank you, Jake.”
Even though you were smiling, he could still see the fear in your eyes. When recognition flashed across his face, your expression faltered and you couldn’t help but fall into his chest with a silent cry.
He wrapped his arms around you, holding you tight and rubbing a soothing hand over your head. “I know, baby. It’s okay.”
“I’m so scared, Jake,” you admitted, though he already understood. He was scared too, but his priority was ensuring you and the life you were nurturing were okay.
He gently pulled you away to look into your glossy eyes, his gaze sending silent assurances before he leaned in to kiss you softly.
You kissed him back, finding comfort in his embrace when you needed it most.
The kiss lingered before he pulled away, setting the bouquet of roses on the kitchen table. He grabbed your hand and led you toward your bedroom, and you followed wordlessly, feeling a little more at ease with each step.
Once you made it past the threshold, you began pulling your shirt over your head in anxious anticipation, dying to feel his calloused hands on your bare skin. But before you could get it off, Jake stopped you with a hand around your wrist.
You looked at him in confusion, wondering if you’d misread his actions, but he gave you a reassuring smile.
“Let me, Cherry. I wanna do it differently this time.”
Slowly, you lowered your hand and allowed him to take over undressing you. He picked up where you left off with your shirt, dragging it up your torso and over your head. You weren’t wearing a bra, and when your chest was exposed to him, a satisfactory sigh ghosted past his lips. You stood on display for him and let him marvel at you before he was cupping your breasts in each of his hands. He lapped at the left one first, small spurts of his tongue against your nipple before switching to the other.
You threw your head back with a breathy moan and savored the feeling. His mouth began to travel lower, sprinkling kisses along your abdomen and leaving one lingering just above your bellybutton before he was tugging gently at your shorts and panties. His breath was warm against your already flushed skin, and you felt your need for him growing with each agonizing second.
But you didn’t want to rush it; the care he was showing you was something you wanted and needed desperately. Jake had never been this tender when it came to sex, both of you behaving like a couple of savages due to the electric charge of your relationship. But as he trailed gentle kisses down your legs, taking his time showing attention to as much of your body as he could, you found yourself growing quickly addicted to the feeling.
Once you were standing naked before him and he was satisfied with his affections, Jake rose to his feet with a drunken, lopsided grin. He nodded his head towards the bed, signaling for you to lie down, and you did just that. You propped yourself up on your elbows to watch as he began undressing himself as well.
First his leather vest, then his white t-shirt, revealing to you once again his tattoos and battle scars that you grew to love so much. Next he stepped out of his pants, making a show out of the way his cock was pressed against his boxers and already staining the fabric.
When he finally removed them and was standing before you in all his naked glory, your mouth fell open without making a sound. You’d seen him naked more times than you could count, but there was something about this moment that felt so much different than the rest. It felt like an offering to you, his way of letting you know that he was entirely yours.
The Barbarian Prince all to yourself.
Unable to resist any more temptation, you reach a hand out to him, and he came over and took it in his own, kissing over your knuckles before completely joining you on the bed. His knee rested between your thighs, purposefully nudging against your clit and causing you to jerk forward. From that touch alone, he knew you were ready, his knee drew back slick, and you’d have felt slightly embarrassed if it were anyone else.
Jake gripped his cock in his hands, lowering his lips onto yours as he pumped himself a few times and lined up with your entrance. In one fluid movement, he sunk into you with a groan, and you instantly wrapped your arms and legs around his body, needing to feel him as close as possible.
You stayed like that for a moment, enjoying the velvet feeling of being connected like this. Usually by now Jake had a fistful of your hair in his hand and was plowing into you, but this wasn’t the time for it. Instead, he began gliding in and out of you at a leisurely pace, capturing every spurt of air that left your lips into his mouth.
“God, Jake,” you purred when he finally freed you to speak, “oh god yes.” The slow pace he was keeping was electrifying to your body, allowing you to feel every bit of what he had to offer filling you up over and over again. His head fell into the crook of your neck as he cradled you close, his breathing coming out more like shuddering grunts as he continued to rock his hips into you.
“I love you, Cherry,” he whispered into your ear, causing you to momentarily freeze. That was the first time those words had ever left his lips, and you thought for a moment you’d misheard him in your state of bliss.
Sensing your apprehension, Jake lifted his head and stared you directly in your eyes, picking up his pace ever so slightly.
“I love you. I know I don’t ever say it,” he paused as another groan left his mouth at the way you constricted around him, “but I do. I love you.”
You wanted to blame the good sex for his words, but by the way he gazed at you adoringly, you knew he meant exactly what he said. You leaned forward and pressed your forehead against his, not deterred by the light sheen of sweat that was forming in his hairline. “I love you, Jake,” you cooed, feeling tears welling in your ducts, “I love you.”
“You know I’ll take care of you. Of us.”
You nodded with a dazed sigh, feeling your release approaching slowly but surely.
“I know.”
Not another word was spoken after that, only the sounds of your breathing and the occasional sound of your bodies coming together could be heard in the trailer.
Jake continued with you slowly and sweetly, stopping every once in a while to plant firm kisses against the corner of your mouth. When you finally succumbed to his coaxing of your orgasm, a shiver ran through your body and leapt over to Jake’s, the hairs on his arms standing at attention at the feeling of your soaking him.
He wasn’t far behind you, spilling into you with a final pointed thrust and a long drawn out groan that sounded like sweet music to your ears. He took a moment to calm his breathing before rolling off of you onto his back.
You both stared at the ceiling as you fought to come back to earth, and once the intensity settled, Jake turned to look at you.
“You know I meant what I said, Cherry? That wasn’t just the sex talking.”
You giggled, “I know Jake. But it’d be nice to hear you say it again now that you aren’t balls deep inside me.”
Jake shook his head with a laugh, then planted a firm kiss on your cheek. “I love you,” he reiterated. “And for as long as you’ll let me, I promise I’ll take care of us.”
He brought his hand to your stomach and began rubbing it, fully acknowledging for the first time the life growing inside of you.
You smiled at him and placed your hand over his, your eyes meeting in a moment of silent confirmation. No matter what happened from here on out, you were in it together.
Tumblr media
Once you had fallen into a comfortable slumber, Jake dressed and stepped out front to light a cigarette. As he stood there, his mind raced with plans for the future, brainstorming ways to ensure both your safety and security. But his thoughts were interrupted by the haunting presence of Rex’s trailer across the street, dominating his view and his mind.
Unable to shake the pull, he stubbed out his half-smoked cigarette on the railing and found himself walking towards the empty trailer. He hadn’t been back since he trashed the place days after Rex’s funeral, but something compelled him now.
Fishing out the spare key he had buried in an empty planter, Jake unlocked the front door and stepped inside, shutting it quietly behind him. The power had been shut off about a month ago, so he used his phone’s flashlight to navigate the dark, stuffy interior. Everything was exactly as he had left it, untouched and filled with memories.
An idea sparked as he remembered the small coat closet off to the left, where Rex and Vicky had stored many photo albums over the years. He retrieved an old office supply box from the top shelf and carried it to the dusty couch. Sitting down, he pulled out the album on top and opened it to the middle, inspecting the photos tucked behind the thin plastic covering.
The first photo he noticed was one of him sitting in his mother’s lap on a lounge chair out back. Both were dressed in swimsuits, his mother in a skimpy bikini and a one-year-old Jake in a pair of flamed swim trunks that looked a size too big. The photo next to it showed him splashing in a small plastic kiddie pool, water droplets frozen in mid-air by his chubby hands.
Jake grinned, flipping a few pages over. This set of photos showed one of Rex’s birthday parties. In one photo, Rex, Vicky, and Jake all smiled at the camera, and in another, cake was smeared across Jake’s face as his parents threw their heads back in laughter.
He scanned through more of the album before setting it aside and grabbing the next one. The photos in this album were from when Jake was a little older, maybe four or five. The first several pages were void of Vicky, leading him to believe they were taken during a time when she wasn’t around.
Most of the pictures showed Jake by himself or with the Barbarians. One picture particularly stood out: Jake sitting on a shiny black Harley, surrounded by Ace, Steeljaw, Madcap, and a few other men, all beaming with pride at seeing a young Jake already embracing Barbarian culture.
More photos revealed Jake’s life amongst the club, showing faces of men he once loved who were no longer around, either dead or serving serious time. It was bittersweet to see those familiar faces, reminders of a past both cherished and mourned.
As Jake browsed the photos, he realized that these seemingly happy fragments of his childhood were misleading. Each photo, each memory, no matter how joyous they appeared, was intertwined with some form of gloom.
There was a photo from his tenth birthday, where he smiled holding his Harley-themed cake, but he remembered the day being ruined by a blowout argument between Rex and Vicky, leading to Ace hauling Rex away. Another photo showed an adolescent Jake among a sea of leather jackets, a tiny figure among men. It looked like a good time, but it was the day of Tex’s funeral, a member Jake had been close to who died in a gunfight.
These memories were tainted, and Jake thought of his child years down the line, looking back at pictures of their childhood. Would they feel the same melancholy he did? Would he inadvertently tarnish their joy the way his father and environment had for him? It was a scary thought, one he tried not to entertain, vowing to make things different for his child.
Jake continued to flip through the albums until he froze at a picture of him and Jaxon. There weren’t many photos of Jaxon in this album; Jake had kept most of those closer to him, likely still under his old bed. He couldn’t face those memories yet.
This photo, however, was special to Rex. It was from the day after Jake and Jaxon had officially sworn in as Barbarians. They had their arms around each other’s shoulders, sporting their new Barbarian jackets and a few black eyes and scrapes from the initiation. The youth in their faces, the pride in their smiles, Jaxon’s tight sandy curls, and Jake’s darker, much longer tasseled hair. Best friends. Brothers. Torn apart by the very thing they were so proud to be a part of in that photo.
Jake decided he’d had enough reminiscing. He shut the album and began stacking it with the rest back into the box. When he moved to get up from the couch, the wall behind it caved with a crumble.
"Shit," Jake murmured. Another hole in the wall to add to the collection of others. The place was falling apart, likely beyond salvaging.
Setting the box on the coffee table, he pulled the couch off the wall and squatted down to inspect the hole. The mismatched paint around it suggested Rex had patched this spot before.
Something was odd, though. The wall hadn’t completely caved. There was something solid behind the drywall, preventing it from collapsing entirely.
Jake pushed in the loose piece of wall and felt something pushing back. He peered into the gap, catching a glimpse of something he couldn’t quite identify. Setting his phone down, he used both hands to pull the broken piece away from the rest. His vision was suddenly flooded with piles of cash.
Just from a glance, it had to be at least half a million dollars stuffed into the opening, maybe closer to seven hundred fifty thousand.
"What the fuck?" Jake mumbled, reaching in to pull out one of the stacks. He inspected it, and then another, halfway expecting it to be counterfeit. It was real.
“What the fuck?”
Where had all this money come from, and how long had Rex been hiding it here?
Jake stared in disbelief, unsure of his next move. Clearly, no one else knew about this money. If they did, there was no way in hell it would still be here.
But still, what was the money for? Who was it for? Or, who was it from?
A noise outside startled Jake. He quickly stuffed the stacks he’d pulled out back into the wall, fixing the hanging piece as best as he could and sliding the couch back into position. His heart raced as he looked around anxiously. It was late, and there was nothing more he could do at the moment.
He decided to leave his discovery as it was, leaving the box of photo albums on the table. Jake double-checked that all the windows were secured, and when he stepped out and locked the door behind him, he made sure his hidden treasure stayed secure.
As he crossed back to your trailer, his mind raced. He needed a plan, but for now, all he could do was keep this secret close and figure out what Rex had been up to.

being the arellano baby and being into ismael "mayo" zambada would include (the wedding cont.)
Tumblr media
a/n: has to get this out of my head and dump it here
okay i had this idea stuck in my head
the last part ended with this moment of like benjamin and ramon at odds
benjamin was out here trying to butter mayo up and have you dance with him and at the same time, ramon is sicking his dogs on you to keep you away from mayo
and if this wasn't the representation of your life, watching on the sidelines as like wtf while the boys make these decisions for you
and the idea that stuck in my head was just like what if in that moment you snapped
you had lived your who life being calm, agreeable and this, this just made you snap
so kitty is wrapping his arm around you, guiding you away from mayo who is measuring his next move and you just stop
"no, no, no dejame" you protests, shaking kitty off but when he comes off to grab you by the elbow that's when you truly fucking pop off
"no me escuchastes? get the fuck out of my way, en serio. i'm an arellano-felix just as much as my brothers are dont fucking forget it"
the fucking look on literally everyone's faces when you reminded people who's fucking twin you were
kitty lowering his glasses, giving ramon this look before turing to you with a little like damn girl smirk "orale, perdoname patrona"
i swear dina is in the background with this big ol fucking smile on her face
and you kinda turning around to mayo who is standing there with arms crossed shaking his head in lowkey amazement
"pues, mi princesa, por lo menos ya se quien realmente manda aqui" he teases as he reaches out to you with this little teasing look
you reaching out to grab his hand, him pulling you into him with much less hesitancy now and slinging his arm around your waist as he leads you to go dance
i just pout of getting to the dance floor and he bring you up against him gently, slow dancing to luis miguel and you just kinda melting into him
i'm screaming, head pressed against him and him leaning down to whisper something like "i could get used to this" or or something about like "quizas puedo dejar de ser mi propio patron, solo si tu eres la patrona"
i will never and i mean never get over the thought of mayo calling you his patrona because he will always defer to you
when they stopped the music to transition to the speeches and stuff, you and mayo being the last ones on the dance floor and you being pulled away by one of your sister
"ahorita te la regreso" she'd tease mayo and i just the logging looks you give each others please kill me
okay but then we get to that fucking moment in the speeches, where the poor fucking soul from the sinaloa cartel who was like "and a toast to the eight inches she'll be swallowing" or some shit like that
but could you picture if he added something about baby arellano too if he added something about "and i have some inches the youngest can choke on, don't worry nena"
i'm screeching at the idea of mayo slamming his fucking fist down on the table and standing to like death glare this man almost just almost as fast as ramon gets up to fucking take care of it
dina and benjamin escorting you to go sit down, mayo i just :(( coming over to you and reaching his hand out to caress your face making sure you're okay
thumb going softly across your cheek and he's searching your face "ay, nos encargamos de esto, no te preocupas, reina"
and him winking at you before turning and just casually walking out the door not far behind ramon and his juniors
why do i have this idea of mayo being the kind of man that would want to bring you out and have this piece of shit apologize to you
like holding this guys head up, blowing smoke in his face and being like "pidale perdon, mas bien ruega que te perdona porque yo no"
anyways i'll leave this here

To Bear a Cross

Summary: Lalo wants a sacrificial lamb and gets it.

Eduardo “Lalo” Salamanca/F!Reader
Prologue to Homemaker, Companion Piece to Companion Dog
AO3 6 Chapter Version: To Bear a Cross
The influx of money made more sense when you saw him.
Money had always been sparse, a luxury not afforded to people who followed the law and worked hard. It was a given that the true and honest were rich in morals and not in money as the Salamancas were. His eyes were dark and cold like the early hours of the morning, hard to look into without fear. He was unpredictable, but just a boy. Your father once said that the difference between a man and a boy happened when he stepped up; age didn’t matter but maturity did. Morale did. Empathy did.
He was young then and as were you. You think he was 18 and so were you that day.
“I thought you wanted to send her to college, old man?” Ah, it makes sense now.
“ I do! More than anything.” A choked sob, a guttural moan more akin to a wailing baby than the grown man you look at: your father. Endless hours in the fields, skin tinted permanent bronze and littered with sunspots and freckles alike. Rays beaming on him like a tattoo needle etched wrinkles into his forehead that were not originally there in your youth. 18 is young, but old enough to walk away, not like a 17-year-old and not like the girl you were at 5 asking why you could not get an education. As time sways, you have come to realize something: womanhood would not allow you the fruits of manhood, not in this lifetime.
“Then take our gift! My tio is being generous. You get more exports to more towns, stores, people! And more money, money for your girl to go to college,” the boy breathed excitedly, dark eyes blown wide with excitement and persuasion. His childish demeanor indicated a sense of unpredictability that left your belly churning uncomfortably. His face falls as your father’s wet eyes are set on the floor, decrepit and creaky, and not the boy. From the corner you peek around, just out of his peripheral, his face indicated he was taking your father’s hesitance as disrespect, his reluctance as a spit in the face. He wanted out with one foot in the quicksand and the rest of him wrapped in vines. “If you want her to go anywhere in life but this shitty little farm, you will say yes old man,” he hissed, losing his patience, “or do you want your girl selling pussy the rest of her life? Marrying some old fart to have a cozy bed.” Another choked sob that only results in the boy sighing and pursing his lips.
“You must love your girl, huh? You know, old man, my papa loved me so much he made me the man I am today. Masculine, macho, I make enough money in this month than you’ve seen in your lifetime.   Does that make you sick? Working endlessly to never see your girl go to school? Old man…” the boy draws closer, “don’t let the stick up your ass stand in her way.”
“I want out.”
“You can have out but think of her.”
“I want…” A hard breath. “I want her to be safe. And happy. This… this cartel shit. It isn’t safe. If something wrong happens, it isn’t about me. It’s about her.” The boy’s brows knit together, annoyed at the insinuation that he was anything other than respectful in his persuasion to allow the man to walk away from the growing cartel. “If something wrong happens what do you think will happen to her?”
“You kill me. You break her kneecaps. You… you…” his eyes finally left the floor to look at the boy with a cold stare, dead eyes. A man with no choice and only fear.
“I what?” he dared the man to indicate what he thought he would say.
“You violate her.”
A scoff. The boy rolled his eyes, body lulling casually to lean on one foot a little more. “Who me? I’m a good guy. A great guy, even. My pals are less nice.” It sounds like a threat, one that makes your breath hitch in your throat. You had never truly been intensely religious, but, before their passing, all the women in your family emphasized keeping yourself pure, for better words. Your time was sparsely spent with men that weren’t your father, him typically asking you stay in your room studying while the Salamanca cartel men came around to stock his trucks full of produce with cash to transport or bricks of white.
“Listen old man. It’s a yes or no question: do you want your daughter to live a poor life forever or get her education? If you keep up your end of the bargain with no questions, your daughter lives a clean life that happened to be funded with,” his fingers raise in quotation marks, “dirty money.”
Your father presses his back to the back of the sofa, sighing. One tear falls, a last one for the road. “I want her to live a clean life. I want to keep her in the dark. Just…” he pauses, “if I screw up. Take it out on me. Not on her. Make it an accident. Something. Anything. Just don’t get her involved.”
The boy grins, clapping his hands together and grinning, “Perfect! My boys will come by tomorrow night to stock up your truck. Once it gets to my cousins, you’re in the game.”
The boy turns, his young face cold but warm with glee. “Wait.”
The boy pauses. “Hm?”
“What’s your name?”
His face doesn’t bother to turn back to him, casual and uncaring as boys are, as he reaches for the door knob and opens it. He says, “Eduardo. But you can call me Lalo.”
 *
It doesn’t come as a surprise when your father was weeping when you walked in the living room, a pleading voice to soothe the men with a gun in their hand, and it wasn’t a surprise when he wept at the wedding.
Lalo, that boy, has his eyes glued to you, a dog watching food hung over its mouth, starving, when you walk in the room. Meek, timid, a voice not over the appropriate number of decibels to not be an indoor voice. The uncertainty is tantalizing; it meant you were scared. The one who saves your life is named Lalo, the hothead next to him is furious with you and makes a fast movement to point the gun at you but a tan hand presses it down. The other man glances over, unsure what to make of his higher-ups movement but upon looking back and forth between you and Lalo it comes together.
You had no chance at that moment. There was no other option.
Your daughter will never worry about a dime again. At first it sounded fantastical, but whatever is too good to be true typically is. Your father was groveling, begging and crying in a way that strained your heart so much it ached to even beat. He met you then came toward you, grinning, smiling a beautiful smile unlike anything you had ever seen. At least you had an attraction, something you were grateful for later on.
“You’re his daughter!” he says in a whisper, in your ear. So close his breath fans your ear and your nose picks up a cigarette scent and some Modelo.
“I am.”
“I’ve never seen you before. I’ve been dealing with him for months, but have never seen you. Why is that?”
“I stay in my room.”
“Hm,” he chuckles, “like a princess in a tower?”
“Not like that…” you avert your gaze, suddenly feeling the crushing pressure of his piercing eyes. He was charming, charismatics, something that is never good.
“You look like one.”
“A what?”
“A princess.” The air is so heavy it may as well have been a boulder on your back.
A beat. “Oh.” He throws his head back, so jolly, to laugh at your flustered nature. The man behind him coughs, blinking at Lalo with a stern look. “Lalo, don’t forget what Bolsa told us to do about the man and the girl. He’s too much of a risk. Too soft. The girl too. Bolsa isn’t sure if they’ll talk or not-“
“They won’t, ol’ boy.”
“And how do you know that Lalo? Bolsa gave us an order out of insecurity in their loyalty to us and –“
“I know because my girlfriend would never rat on me.”
Ah, the first impression is so important.
 *
Your father did not walk you down the aisle some days later. A ring appeared on your dresser the next day, worth more than you wanted to know, and your bedroom door was always unlocked in the morning, something you never did. Ever since getting involved with the cartel, your bedroom door was always locked. In the mornings, it was slightly ajar and there were items in disarray. Not as though ransacking, but the opposite: your room kept being altered with fine items. Vases of flowers appeared, a beautiful rug, a new cozy chair replaced your rickety homemade stool, and perfumes kept appearing. You didn’t originally sleep this well before but Lalo had been coming nightly for dinners. He had already made an awful impression on your father but demanded his company. He would sit there silent and resigned as Lalo brought in meat to cook and loom at the gas stove, the heat fanning his face until he had cooked the meal. He kept returning, his demanding presence like a black cloud over the house. His commitment feels joking until he took you to the courthouse. It was spring fading into summer but it was hot, it was June 8th and the overcast was beautiful.
“I do.”
A cloud crosses the sky, prancing like a ballerina against a backdrop of sunsetting hues of purple, orange, red and the moon hanging over it. It’s a beautiful to Lalo but not as beautiful as you.
“I do.”
A cloud crosses the sky like a body dragging itself to safety, slowly and tortured. It almost breathed like it had been kicked. The sky was an array of the colors of a bruise, purple and red and orange but no veins of green split the sky. The moon was pale, big, and unchanging. A big white eye looks down at you; a full moon. The cloud is like a finger, pointing and laughing, long and wiry with gaps that are a color of purple you’ll hate forever after today. That sweet plum color used to be the color of your favorite dress; you wonder what to do with it now.
His moustache is ticklish and his face is scary, the swooping black hair skimming your forehead when he dips to kiss your lips passionately. Everything about him demands your attention and devotion. The word “no” was no longer a part of your vocabulary, something you realized only the night before your wedding, the day prior in the wooded cabin coated in darkness and nothing but Lalo. The trees were Lalo, the moon was Lalo, the floor creaks were Lalo, the sofa, the bed, rug, the coffee mugs, and every atom in the house was Lalo.
 *
Lalo has not given you any reason to be scared, his threats are more focused on others rather than you. Your face not typically writ in concern but usually in confusion. It is surreal. It is a dreamscape. “It’s a pre-honeymoon!” he cackles, opening the door to a gorgeous villa in the middle of absolutely nowhere. The air is hot, humid, and a thick. The forest is dark. The birds are cawing. You are crying.
“Why are you crying, princess?” he coos sweetly, as if talking to a child. Maybe even an infant. You sniffle, the sinking feeling of reality creeping into you in goosebumps as you sit alone with a man from the cartel who has had a gun to your father’s head more than once. You had seen him in passing from your window when he would come and make sure every brick and every dime was accurate. His face was so warm, so smiley from the window; you wondered what he’d be like up close in some schoolgirl fantasy in the back of your head. It was so innocent to just wonder.
It was less innocent to let it transpire. To ask for it. To seek it out.
You wondered about men occasionally, pondered it in passing. You spent the vast majority of your youth studying in your room, your father desperate for you to at least score well on college entry exams if he was going to homeschool you since the city and towns neighboring were too far for you safely to get to and from. Your car was unreliable. “The cartel men,” he warned, “would do terrible things to you.”
But it isn’t so terrible. Being with a man. His hands are big, warm, thick, and stroke your thigh soothingly as if petting a cat. He is savoring the feeling of your tights, the fabric of the hosiery enchanting his senses.
“How can I soothe you?” A small sniffle.
“Just hold me,” you ask, reluctant but desperate to at least appease the man with you, “please?”
“Yeah,” he breathes a hot breath, pulling you in by the waist into his side. He put on his pajamas a bit ago, it is consisting of nothing but plaid pants, so your thin shirt was pressing into his hot skin. You want to pull away, in some respect. This is impure. No, no, it will lead to something impure. It is different; to keep going was to defy any bit of logic and slip into whatever foul impulse you let lead you on a leash into a sick man’s bed.
It isn’t a bed though, so does it count? This is a thought that crosses your mind as your back arches against the sofa.
“I need to check something.”
“Check what, Lalo?”
“Your hymen.”
 *
It is impure and you aren’t sure what a hymen is until after he’s palming your sex. The hosiery ripped away at the groin to make way (you loved that houndstooth tights and wondered internally where you had purchased it to get another one) for his palm, rough and thick. “No man before me?”
“Nuh-uh.” It doesn’t sound like you. It sounds like a high-pitched whine, like you were having a fit for something. A craving, like an addict for a fix without ever having touched the stuff: a fuck. He chuckles, deep from his chest, into the nape of your slick neck thanks to his constant attention to it; a plummy hue beginning to bloom where he sucked the skin raw. “I’m your first, hah?” he huffs, bucking his hips into your leg through the fabric of his pants. His dark eyes flicker up momentarily, looking at your face that was twisted in a lewd expression: your eyes blown wide like you were surprised and watery with want as if you’d cry at any second, the front of your brows only a little tense, and mouth ajar but chin wet with your drool and his spit. This was impure.
Lalo has no intention to fuck you tonight, no. That is a special event for the wedding day, but today was a layout of taste testing of appetizers before a grand entrée. This was impure, debauched beyond words, the sight of your mussed hair against the arm of the sofa and your chest, slick with his spit from sucking and biting at your sensitive spots, rising and falling like you were done running a mile. Your sensitivity to his contact with beautiful, memorizing the moment in his brain to replay it until he died; this was his life now. Everything else he had ever done was white noise to you. Every bullet shot, gun loaded, piece of money in his hand, and every modelo meant jack shit to this.
He wanted to see one thing. You twitch at the contact, his mouth meeting your nipple, and yelping at the constant overstimulation to push and push and push you. You worried you were going to pee, a strange warmth in your core was making you hot with a want for something but you weren’t sure what. His fingers go deeper, the middle and index, and one thing: he curls it.
It’s like white. It’s like a dip in the pool on a hot summer. It’s like a warm hug in a time of need. It’s like Lalo isn’t a drug dealer, cartel boy who stole you away and altered you in just some days after meeting you. It’s something you can do forever. It’s your first orgasm, the want to ask him to skip the wedding and stay in bed after the hour or so of his attention only being you, with a side of you, and you as the dessert. “Ah!” a jolt, a twitch, and you’re batting his arm away but it only excites him further to go faster, sucking hard at your nipple as your eyes water more and mouth open more and, like a dam breaking, your eye lets one tear fall, your mouth a bit of drool, and your eyes white for a split second before your head goes back to arching on the sofa to not see Lalo but the ceiling or, more accurately, the back of your eye sockets from rolling back. Your back must have been a perfect U from the way you were arching it and Lalo thinks this sound might be better than hearing  “I do” tomorrow.
The trees, the walls, the rug, the coffee mugs, are the only witnesses to a dam breaking and a mind with it as you tremble like a leaf and sob a high-pitched sob unlike you and so debauched you want to die with embarrassment after the fact. You see the ceiling, body still shaking, no senses registering other than the aftermath of touch. His face appears, looming over you, and you feel the hard skin pressing through his pants against your belly as he crawls up to meet your face where your head hangs over the arm. Lalo is so smug.
“The first of many, no? It’s an engagement gift for our pre-honeymoon.”
The ring feels so heavy. It burns your skin.
 *
In light of recent events, you could have handled this better. The temperament of your husband was particularly poor with others but he often made better calls in judgement when women were involved. Men, he argued once, are more capable creatures than women; they are like animals.
He uses that argument when you are no longer allowed to see anyone but the chaperones who won’t look you in the face. Their cold eyes looking through and passed you, but never in the eyes. He had buried some men whose gaze lingered on you through methods you had thought been left in medieval times. His machismo thinking stemming from years, centuries, of diluted values based on women being a weaker and less capable sex. It is some years later when you think he’s right.
Across from him, a man named Ignacio stares at you, who sits on an adjacent counter in a beautiful villa. Your eyes do not find him, but look past him. As a wife, you duty is to honor your husband with respect. To live by him and for him. The classic thinking prevailed time for a reason, why would it live on if not right? You wondered if natural selection applied to certain thought processes. The books on the shelf behind Nacho attract your attention, but not moreso than your husband, whom you glance at often Nacho noted. Your dress is a tight, thin cotton nightgown that hugs your body. The pattern is some pointelle dotting with a little letter embroidered on the chest. Sliding from the counter, you touch Lalo’s shoulder, which he immediately replies to by reaching to stroke the flesh of your hand. “I’m wanna go read. Is that okay with you, Lalito?” you ask in a voice barely over a whisper. Nacho ponders how Lalo could even hear you with the softness of your words. “Of course, baby,” he reassures, patting your ass as you stride past Nacho wordlessly and beeline for the arrangements of paperbacks of thick and thin. The embroidered letter was E. Nacho does not look back her, refusing to acknowledge the movement unless asked to specifically. Lalo rarely mentioned his wife, the only indication being a tattooed ring on his ring finger and the way he occasionally looked at a photo of her in his wallet in the car when he was driving. The energy of possession was rippling off him in waves. Nacho hears the flipping of some pages and the settling of weight on the sofa behind him; did you ever leave Lalo’s gaze? He doubted it. Lalo looks past Nacho, staring at you, while talking to him, “But that’s business for next time. I was just being nice, my little lady doesn’t get many guests and I trust you enough to not be stupid with her.”
“Huh? Stupid how?”
“You didn’t look at her, Ignacio,” he smiles a smile that don’t reach his eyes, “good.” A small chuckle leaves him as he goes to stand. “Thanks for stopping by. Let me walk you out, my friend.”
The footfalls don’t attract her attention to Nacho, but she is fixed on Lalo. Her cold eyes accentuated with thick lashes from an expensive makeup store no doubt and her lips shifted anxiously in their shiny gloss coating as she watched Lalo walk to the entryway from the sofa. He feels like he walked into something, like an animal’s enclosure that only connected with one zookeeper. “I’ll see you tomorrow, Lalo?” Nacho asks, looking back through at him as he passes the threshold.
His blood runs cold, staring at the silhouette of you standing stiff at the end of the dark entryway some paces back. Just the outline of your figure backed by the ambient lighting that was overhead on the high ceiling and the peripheral of the open concept kitchen showing a face that still didn’t see him: only Lalo.
“Yeah, see you tomorrow, buddy,” he grins. The slam of a door, the wood, is heavy and harsh. The wind of Albuquerque is heavy and harsh, beating on his body as he opens his glossy car door and retreats into his car. A feeling of pity, hot and stomach-churning, warms his belly in a way he couldn’t explain. Your cold gaze fixed with tunnel vision on the monster in man’s skin and he has seen the markers of possession on you. A giant ring worth hundreds of thousands no doubt accented your thin finger and the embroidered E on your dress were the two thing that stood out to him but, in rightfully not looking any further at you he missed the tattoos, the acrylic nails that spelled “LALO” on the four fingers that were not your thumb, and the hickeys littering your neck.
The embroidery bothered him for a moment, as he got into bed. E. E. E. E. What was E again?
Oh.
E stands for Eduardo. You sleep in a plum nightgown, curled in his arms like a dog with her owner, and peace is all you know because all you know is Eduardo.

MY THOUGHTS ON EPISODE 7X08
First off: RIP RICO PRIEM. There needs to be better safety precautions and LAWS put into place, not just contract negotiations, to ensure the safety of all cast and especially crew. No one should have to die to see our favorite show get made. We can week a few weeks/months between episodes if that is what it will take. Our little weewoo show is not more important than people getting home safe.
-honestly, tell him how it is Amir. Bobby affected more lives than just the 148 he took. As much as I love his growth and how he’s healed, the trauma extends past his victims into generational trauma that will probably be felt for several generations.
-it’s so emotionally jarring sometimes to see fun loving bobby who’s worked hard to piece his life back together. and then also remember, he’s the cause of 148 lives being taken. like....how does the man have a job? he would not experience the same treatment of the freedom he’s been allowed post apartment fire if he was a man of color.
-i love how the characters are flawed and not perfect people.
-MAY GRANT where you been my baby
-Athena/Bobby goals 🥰
-so bobby comes from a long line of abusive alcoholics and has been a people pleasing emotional therapist for most of his life, good to know. good. to. know.
-i haven’t personally been too fond of the whole amir’s gonna burn the building down because it kind of plays into stereotypes of black men being violent and unable to work through their emotions in a healthy way.
-i do think race aside, it’s a possibility but after tonight’s episode, it’s not something i wanna be dead set on or right about because fighting fire with fire is not good for anyone involved, no matter how much gut wrenching pain they’ve caused you.
-i mean the cartel is a storyline they haven’t touched on before. i wonder what’s next? bridge collapse? plague outbreak? eddie being demisexual?
-side note: that guy’s flowing long hair is actually so pretty
-his mother should have stepped in more
“you can keep your amends, i didn’t ask for it. it doesn’t mean a damn thing to me.”-oh damn damn DAMN they got me crying on bridgerton day AGAIN
-oh please don’t tell me bobby learned how to cook out of trauma of almost burning his house down because he had to take on the role of his mother after she left his alcoholic father
-Bobby Nash? Nah. Bobby BURNT.
-Get up Amir! Don’t die! You’ve come too far! (in the wise words of my father: a black man can’t ever catch a break, can he?)
-is he actually a ranch worker? don’t trust a man with a truck you don’t know kids. DONT DRINK THE WATER. ITS GONNA KNOCK YOU OUT.
-of course the guy with the car WAS HIS GRANDSON
-did i not just tell you to not take candy from a strange man you just men in the middle of nowhere?
-BOBBY NASH DOES HIS OWN STUNTS
-ommercial break mantra to calm myself: athena will always find you, don’t worry. do what you gotta do to survive guys.
-back to bobby/amir: i think it’s important for bobby to meet someone who can’t forgive him for what he’s done, who no matter how much he’s grown, will never be able to see him apart from the trauma and pain he inflicted. it’s more realistic.
-Who Can It Be Now? Song by Men at Work
-Bobby’s dad dies in an alcoholic accident after he verbally assaulted him for being a kid who was left on his own to figure things out is INSANE TIM MINEAR SHIT.
-i don’t think he’s alive anymore bro...
-is bobby can drop to his knees and pray or something?
-welp he dropped to his knees
-poor little bobby
-NOT HIM BLEEDING ALL OVER THE SCRAPBOOK WHAT IN THE WORSE THAN EVAN BUCKLEY TRAUMA IS THIS SHIT WTF THAT’S UNCALLED FOR NO WONDER HE BECAME AN ALCOHOLIC JESUS CHRIST
-stay alive by matt alder
-I hope Amir sticks around. I like him. He keeps things emotionally interesting. I needed a good cry.
-commercial break thoughts: where tf is charlie now? i didn’t realize how much older he was supposed to be
-BIG PROPS to the makeup team
-i like this new girl, hope we see her again. her hair is flawless.
-acting pro peter krause
-“i live my life just trying not to make anything worse”
-michael jamal warner. incredible work tonight my man.
-what in the offbrand huge hulk loke tommy/buck/eddie are those firefighter dudes
-DONT DO IT LITTLE BOBBY YOU ARE A CHILD WHY DID THEY LEAVE HIM ALONE
-I WAS RIGHT THEY TRY TO BURN BOBBY’S HOUSE DOWN WTF I WAS RIGHT I BET ITS THE DAMN CARTEL

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
“Are you sure you found a lead?” Areum questions sometimes if the leader detective was using any part of his brain.
They were standing in front of a poverty stricken apartment block with mini windows on the walls sticking out from under the railings. Baekhyun turns to Areum pointing up at one of the floors ahead inside that apartment block.
Baekhyun turns was confident. “Your parents helped out one of the people before they died. They helped a woman called Kwon Yona.”
Areum doesn’t recognise the name but she took his word for it. They start going up the stairs until the third floor coming to the flight of stairs on the other side. The detective wearing a leather jacket and the hair styled softly comes forward knocking on the door.
Meanwhile the journalist looks around the whole place. It was ridden with rat infestations and spiders possibly. She never thought she could see this much spiders in spam of five minutes.
When the door creaks open Areum’s gaze hits the front door and Baekhyun tried his best to take a glimpse of the woman’s face but it was far too dark to know if it was the woman they’re looking for or not.
“Kwon Yona?” Areum approaches the door with a soft welcoming smile. You gotta get them close before you question them.
The woman seems distant between answering and not answering its like she wasn’t quite sure what to trust, herself or the two people?
“Who’s asking?” She eyes them both.
Areum looks away as she heard silence. “I’m a journalist. Park Areum.”
The woman stares at Areum’s business card watching it on the surface before unlocking the door. “Park Areum?” She repeats.
“Yes. I’m here to ask about the two detectives who helped you out a while back.”
Seeing how the door widely opens the woman didn’t waste time letting them inside the apartment. As they tread inside Areum and Baekhyun sit down but they heard a baby in the room crying repeatedly. Yona walks to the crib grabbing onto the baby softly cradling it as she sits down in front of you on the flooring.
A smile creeps onto Areum’s face. She remembers when the twins were babies. They were the cutest and right in front Yona’s baby seems to be a very beautiful child. The baby had little ruffled up curly hair and beautiful eyelashes.
Areum felt herself becoming too fond of the sight. It was even bringing baby fever up inside her.
‘Snap out of it.’ Areum told herself sighing.
Baekhyun clears his throat. “So Kwon Yona how’d you meet the two detectives on the case?” The woman softly cradling as she turns her fullest attention onto the two people sitting down on the floor between a coffee table between them. The baby gurgles going quiet no longer crying tears.
“Back then they were investigating a drug called the Jokers. It was a massive cartel running in Korea at the time and well… back then let’s say i was stupid and dumb. I was using jokers a lot.” She admits looking down at her daughter smiling. “But Park Jinae saved me from the addiction. She made me realise it’s not worth it and we become friends once her and Kyungsam managed to locate the drug dealer dealing the drug in the club.”
Baekhyun looks back onto the notes doting down anything that Yona could mention that would be a clue, anything since they were desperate to get behind the cover and figure this whole case out. The least they can do is to give Park Kyungsam and Jinae a proper chance to close the case.
Yona slowly looks over at Areum. “You actually resemble my friend Jinae a lot.” She smiles when Areum with widen eyes looks back at her.
“She always had this feeling about her, that she was made for greater things.”
Areum couldn’t help but smile and wonder how her mother was like. She can only remember briefly how happy her mother was so happy playing with them, she was protective of Areum and Jisung. Meanwhile your father was a busy workaholic who wanted the best for his children.
Areum’s father tends to be the strongest man she’d known. You guess she got the workaholic and trouble magnet from him. But her mother’s looks and smarts definitely.
“I’m their daughter.” Areum softly lets out with a smile. “I should have my mother’s looks right?” She jokes out and Yona laughs.
“I see I can’t believe Jinae’s children are now fully grown adults.” Yona admits she never counted the years since they passed.
She’s still stuck into the past with them.
“And your child?” Areum smiles asking as Yona would show her daughter in the arms. Yona couldn’t help but smile. It truly felt like Jinae was in front of her, speaking with her, it made something deep in Yona’s stomach go back to the happy memories.
Yona hums showing off her baby, who’s sleeping peacefully now. “Her name is Saebom. I recently had her this year and it’s been a bliss to have a child. It’s like a new source of happiness.”
Areum could relate, she feels the same way with her own children. “I agree. I have two children of my own and when they were born i felt like i was over the moon.”
“You have your own children? Gosh time flies. Jinae and Kyungsam would’ve been spoiling their children if they were alive.”
The journalist nods humming downright, they would definitely spoil them so much they’d get everything in the store. It didn’t help that Jeno already spoils them so much too, but she liked that her husband was willing to buy anything for your children you have together.
It shows that Jeno loves them dearly. He’d do anything to make them happy, and Areum was part of the reasoning too.
Baekhyun trouts out. “Is it okay if we can come back and ask you more questions if we ever need to clarify more?”
Yona nods becoming more and more cooperative. She was willing to help the detective and Journalist out.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Baekhyun and Areum began scouting the streets for any night clubs. Trying to find the drug resort in the name the ‘Jokers’ but no matter what they couldn’t find a lead.
Areum sighs. “Maybe we should go back and ask Kwon Yona about what club it was, Y’know. We assumed that every club would benefit from it.”
The phone rang catching them off guard, Areum saw the notification as she picks it up late.
KWON YONA MISS CALL (1)
Baekhyun agrees with Areum momentarily as they get inside the car and drive back to the deprived area with the apartment complex.
They weren’t sure what this eerie blue color was above them taking over the sky but it made the whole new neighbourhood more scary than it was before when they’ve arrived. Somehow Areum had a bad feeling in the stomach and she can tell Baekhyun did too when they saw the car tracks freshly made leaving the scene.
Areum points her eyes up, signalling Baekhyun to go ahead and Areum will cover from behind.
They move In synchronised motions with the feet threading upstairs until the same door was in front this time the lock was broken and the door was widely available to open for anyone to walk in. Areum felt her heart beating so fast she prays that nothing bad happens to the residents living there. Baekhyun on the other hand was somehow aware that most likely, Yona was done for, and their answers were soon revealed by the minute,
A hanging body was unconscious on the ceiling. Areum never felt the urge to become sick again until holding the stomach.
Baekhyun looks away in shame. “Fucking hell… we were too late.”
The ruination of the sickness resides deep inside Areum’s heart, entire body was paralysed with dead fear and somehow, she lost Yona. A good friend of your parents. A mother to a child brutally murdered. Areum sighs breathlessly panting and Baekhyun pats the journalist shoulder sympathetically.
He knew how hard it was to see countless death. He was immune to it by now, he was too used to seeing it.
Once you get close to death you can’t escape it.
But for Areum it’s been the second time she’s saw a ruthless corpse in front of her ever since this whole case was brought up.
Areum’s eyes land on Yona’s lifeless body hanging off the ground and catch a glimpse of her wrist and a black marker written on it ‘Inferno’.
“Inferno?” Areum repeats. Baekhyun’s eyes darken as he catches onto something, remembering information. “Inferno is the name of a nightclub. She left us a clue.”
Yona wasn’t going to die without leaving you a lead. She was determined to help Areum find the killer of her parents.
A baby cry was soon heard from the opposition room. Areum’s eyes widen and she looks back hearing that child crying for its mother.
Baekhyun let’s Areum go first to look as he calls backup for forensic team to come to this location and take care of this body.
The baby was hidden inside the crib waking up from the long nap and the minute the baby saw someone who wasn’t their mother it cried more. Areum softens expression at the baby lifting it up and softly resting it on her shoulder as she walks around the room, feeling sadden to see a baby so young lose a parent. It somehow reminds her of Jisung and her own situation. Losing a parent sticks with you forever.
Saebom didn’t deserve this.
“What will happen to the baby?” Areum questions and Baekhyun runs his hands on the nape neck. “Erm probably foster care or an orphanage. One of the two.”
‘Not the best options.’ Areum scarcely thought.
Then Areum’s phone rang again as she lifts it out the pockets with one hand skilfully while holding the baby that’s been less crying now but more or so calmly taking refuge in the body of a motherly woman figure.
“Hello Park Areum speaking?” She said on the other line. The minute she heard the words from a man talk her heart skips a beat.
Jeno trails. “Can we talk? I’ll explain everything. I promise you i will explain everything.” His voice was pleading to have at least a few minutes to speak with Areum.
She looks around humming. “Okay. I want to speak to you too. I realised that last night I wasn’t being rational and you didn’t deserve to… have my anger out on you.”
It melts Jeno completely to see Areum coming around and slowly come to a realisation about how she acted, even though he understands why you did. Jeno doesn’t hold it against Areum, in fact he agrees with her common thinking and feelings.
He looks down feeling slightly relieved to know she was calm enough to speak with him. He missed her presence. “It’s okay let’s just meet at home and speak, okay?”
‘Okay.’ Areum thought.
Baekhyun saw Areum ending the call putting the phone back in the back pockets of the jeans. His gaze focused on Areum. “Your husband called?”
Areum nods with a serious smile. “This definitely wasn’t his work Baekhyun. I know my husband.”
“He’s definitely innocent.” She trails thinking deeply. “He doesn’t harm innocent people.”
Baekhyun would’ve beg to differ but he doesn’t know what you know and as far as you’re trusting, Baekhyun had to trust Areum’s judgement.
“Okay… I believe you now.” He would reply. “Later how about we check the Inferno club?”
Areum nods.
The forensic team soon arrives to the scene taking care of the body but while Areum stands outside with Baekhyun explaining the situation, Saebom was cradled asleep on your shoulder gently still and the police officers watch Areum with a child in the arms as if she were it’s mother.
Baekhyun rose an eyebrow. “How about they take the baby now?” He said with an idea.
The minute the police officers took approach to grab the baby from Areum’s arms she turns away pulling Saebom from the arms sight and length.
“No no I think she’s good in my arms.” She said with confidence. Baekhyun sighs. “Areum, you can’t keep that baby. You have two kids of your own and you—“ he paused when he saw Areum’s pleading eyes.
He can’t help but look at disbelief. “Does your husband even know?”
Areum scoffs. “He loves children. He wouldn’t complain at all.”
Baekhyun gapes unable to process how quickly Areum got attached to Saebom.
“I think you should give Saebom to the foster care home. Another family can take care of her.” Areum didn’t like the idea however of sending a child into someone random’s arms. At least Yona knew you and knew your mother so she fell trusted to you.
Areum couldn’t help but think that perhaps Yona would prefer her to take care of the child instead of someone she couldn’t know because she’s dead now.
“Baekhyun please? Think about Yona. She would want me to keep Saebom.”
He hates how you’re so persuasive it genuinely must be the journalist charm of you becoming emphatic enough to make him twist his views and opinions around. It was like a tug of war with Areum.
He looks around shushing the police officers to leave them and do their duties. Areum smirks knowing she has Baekhyun to given permission.
“Fine, but adoption papers take a while to get approved.” Baekhyun explains.
“Thank you detective.” Areum points out and she hears him murmur ‘Yeah yeah whatever.’
‘Saebom I’ll keep you safe.’ She would smile watching the baby fall asleep comfortably in her arms so fast.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Arriving home Areum made sure to park her car outside the house and then looking back from the driver seat to see Saebom asleep in the baby car seat that she used when Nayoung and Minjae were small babies. It felt nostalgic to have another baby back in her life and it somehow brought excitement back. Aware that this was the best option for Saebom.
Areum takes the car seat lifting it out off the car and carrying it back home. Areum was met with an open light upstairs in the bedroom where her husband probably was waiting for her.
It was the afternoon almost the evening but Areum had time to spare until they would go out to investigate the Inferno nightclub.
Perfect to makeup with your husband right?
Areum puts the baby in the living room where it was quiet and warm enough and then going up the stairs she brought herself in the bedroom revealing Jeno by the window with his phone out.
He turns around. “Oh Areum hey.” He looks up at Areum and she softly flash him a welcoming smile.
“Hey, you said you’d explain everything.”
He nods and sits on the bed edge and motions Areum to sit next to him. Their hands touch and interlock despite it becoming a serious topic somehow their hands found a way to find connection between them no matter what. Areum sits down beside her husband listening carefully as he threads out to cover up the mistakes he made.
He made by not telling her.
“I didn’t kill them if that’s what you’re thinking.” He assures. “I was young when they died. But i have an idea i know who it could be. I’ve been trying to dig it up for a while behind your back because… I didn’t want you to get involved.”
“But it seems like the person who is behind all of this has been trying to get you in on the case, so it would look like I’ve been trying to cover it up.”
Areum’s eyes stay glued onto Jeno who was thinking deeply and he slightly squeezed their hands together. It was revealing to hearing the truth finally come out.
His wife softly rests her face into his shoulders and engulfs him into a hug as Jeno wraps his hands round the waist hugging each other tightly in your scented perfume and cologne.
“I’m sorry for misjudging you. I should’ve listened to you the first time.” Jeno laughs a little hearing Areum muffle talk. “You’re right you should listen to me for once. But you never do. Because you’re Park Areum.”
She would grin and pull apart as she finally realise something. “Oh wait, close your eyes Jeno.” She suddenly told and saw Jeno standing up closing the eyes as you lead him down the steps going into the living room.
The sound of a baby giggling as they were awake made him flinch and Areum lifts the baby stopping Jeno by the doorway.
She lifts her baby up in the arms and sees Saebom watching Jeno fondly with heart eyes. Somehow Areum could tell she was curious about this man.
“Now open them up.”
The minute his eyelashes flutter open Jeno’s eyes dilate watching the baby in Areum’s arms. Confusion but surprisingly he found a surge of happiness seeing such a cute baby up close.
He wondered where she got it suspiciously though.
She coos. “This is Saebom. Her mother suddenly passed and… well i couldn’t let her go into foster home.” Areum sighs. “And an orphanage is even worse.”
Jeno comes forward as Areum puts the baby in his arms and the baby laughs watching Jeno up close as he held Saebom.
“So… I hope I’m not getting the wrong idea but.” He paused looking at Areum.
“Can we keep her?”
He spoke out asking first.
Areum found it extremely endearing to see her husband get attached to this sudden baby and he wasn’t even against it. He was all in for it maybe a little more than you now.
The journalist creeps behind Jeno and wraps arms around the waist so she can give the man a longing back hug kissing his shoulder as Jeno was holding the happy smiling infant by the hip.
He was so good with kids, it warms your heart to see it. It brought memories back between you both ; how nayoung and Minjae were babies.
Unfortunately they’re not babies anymore.
“Think of this as a present from me to you. Forgive me for doubting you.” Areum trails softly.
Jeno hums turning to Areum on the side. “Hmm. Apology accepted.”
“What’s her name by the way?”
Areum smiles. “Saebom.”
The mafia man in front of you moves around the living room holding the child gently speaking to her in baby noises that the little child found amusing and funny. They were trying to speak together and Areum watches the wholesome scene from live action. It was beautiful to watch.
Maybe Jeno wanted more children but you’re just both busy you couldn’t think about raising another. But now the opportunity has risen.
“Lee Saebom.”
Jeno says smiling. “Welcome to our little family.”
