I'm not even the type of fan people build up as the type who is too biased to enjoy a movie. I watched all of star wars including cartoons in 2015 for the first time. Seeing bb8 is what made me interested in TFA. I never read a single EU book and never will. These movies aren't my childhood and despite having this sideblog, it only came towards the end of my lil star wars hyperfocus time.

Tbh all I wanted was to see a continuation of the themes and relationships set up in TFA. If you think that's being "safe" and unaccepting of "risks" then whatever.
