#i also think they would have kids and megumi and tsumiki would be more excited for their sibling than satoru and reader combined

okay but like do you think gojo and oc would ever have a baby of their own, giving tsumiki and megumi a sibling, or are their adopted children enough?
sometimes i like to think oc would agree to become a teacher just to feel like all her students are also her babies.
i am personally of the belief that satoru wants a million children. and he says this, verbatim, when you get together.
“oh, just by the way we’re having ten kids, kay, love ya!”
but then there’s the fact that he doesn’t care where they come from. biological children, adopted children, curse wombs, mahito’s silly little transfigured humans… you got ‘em, he’ll take them.
you, on the other hand, have always been… wary about kids. i mean there’s no doubt that you adore them, think they’re precious little angels to be bestowed on only the best of beings—i mean, really, the reason satoru sought you out to help with megumi and tsumiki is because he knew you liked kids.
still… there’s that doubt, that worry that you could never be enough for a child. that you could never give them a childhood that you wanted and deserved.
teenage you is the gloomiest of them all, and if you asked her, she’d probably say no.
but then a stupid man brought home two children unannounced and swore he was going to help with them (he does… occasionally).
so, without warning, you gets the kids you’ve always (secretly) dreamed of. and who could ask for more than megumi and tsumiki, really? who even could?
(so obviously that fear is quickly washed away. i mean, there’s days, weeks, months of doubts where you’re sure that you’re doing everything wrong. sure that megumi is never going to be able to live in society as a normal human being, and that tsumiki is going to suffer from her soft, easygoing heart.
luckily satoru is also there to prove that if you think you’re doing anything wrong, he’s doing it ten times worse.
and sometimes he sweet talks you. but only for the rewards, of course.
you both learn that parenting is less about being perfect than adapting to the needs of the tiny beings, bending at their every will…)
still, even though you love megumi and tsumiki like they’ve crawled into your veins and strained all livelihood from you, having your own biological kids is a bit different.
satoru is all for it, no doubt, but he doesn’t push. he understands your hesitation—especially with how difficult everything’s become as the kids get older. the increase in curses, the rising fear that the world isn’t a safe place as is, and could never be a safe place for another baby.
(but don’t expect him not to stare at you when you’re helping a lost little girl across the street. or holding the baby of a friend. really, he’s just reminiscing… he’s not planning anything… probably…)
though, it doesn’t help either of you that satoru teaches the first years. in hindsight, you shouldn’t have let him make that decision, but it’s too late now.
satoru tries to bring every student home. even if they’ve got two healthy, loving parents—he’s calling a lawyer to draw up legal paperwork the moment yaga tells him there’s a new student about to come to jujutsu high.
what? the house is big enough for a guest, isn’t it? why do you think satoru was so pushy for all of those extra bedrooms?
(and you’ll scold him when there’s a another place set at the table. you’ll ask megumi to show the new student around the house, pointedly, and then you’ll make him recite the lengthy list of things he’s not supposed to do with every kid he meets (again)
but really, you don’t mind.
you’ve always thought that hearts were rather expandable things, and your son and daughter have only proven that fact.
and there’s a little part of you that can’t deny the admiration you have for satoru. his need to coddle every student of his, to comfort them endlessly, even if they don’t want it.
if you had to guess, you’d say that satoru’s heart is the stretchiest.
so you only tug on his hair a little. and then you’ll sit right next to him at dinner, letting him hold your hand under the table).
and there’s been a couple of times where you bring someone of your own home. just as a little payback, of course. no other reason….
#ugh i know satoru is buying baby clothes for literally no reason at all#he’ll put up baby cowboy boots on the mantle like its a decoration#i also think they would have kids and megumi and tsumiki would be more excited for their sibling than satoru and reader combined#but i’m scared to headcanon it and then… ruin lives#megumi would sit in baby’s room and feed them if you needed a shower#tsumiki would paint a mural on the nursery wall#gojo satoru#gojo satoru x reader#gojo x reader#a typical family

𝐁𝐞𝐝𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲
⋆ ★ '𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞' - 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬
chapter summary: Satoru tells a bedtime story for Megumi and Tsumiki. Every fairy tale contains a small kernel of truth, doesn't it?
warnings: fluff, family moment, slice of life.
author's note: I wonder if this bedtime story reminds you of something? c;
cute weakling ❤︎: Gonna be late. Can you tell a bedtime story tonight?
9:53 pm
His phone buzzed beside him, and he glanced over at the screen. It was a message from you.
Satoru lay sprawled on his stomach across the plush carpet of Tsumiki's room, the soft peach-pink walls around him bathed in the golden glow of a bedside lamp. The room was a gentle contrast to the world outside, filled with warm hues and comforting details - a scattering of stuffed animals, shelves filled with picture books and games, and the faint scent of lavender from the candle burning on the dresser. Tsumiki had always been drawn to soft, feminine colors, and her room reflected that. Even the curtains, a delicate blush shade, seemed to frame the night outside with a sense of calm and peace.
you: oh, now you're trusting me with the bedtime stories?? risky move
9:54 pm
you: guess that means i get to make it up… should it be about an all-powerful sorcerer who’s also really really good-looking?
9:54 pm
He grinned softly, shaking his head.
Of course, you were always thinking about the kids, even when you were caught up in the chaos of missions.
cute weakling ❤︎: Please don’t traumatize them with one of your “I saved the world” stories. Keep it simple. And PG means no curses.
9:55 pm
He chuckled.
you: me? curses? i’m a role model, remember?
9:55 pm
cute weakling ❤︎: Sure. A "role model" who once told Megumi that all vegetables were cursed objects
9:56 pm
you: hey, they could be. u never know what’s hiding in that broccoli
9:56 pm
cute weakling ❤︎ : Satoru...
9:57 pm
you: fine, i’ll keep it chill. no world-saving tonight. probably
9:57 pm
you: but u owe me one for this. storytime isn’t free, you know. i accept payment in snacks or… well, i'll think of something ;)
9:57 pm
He felt a small weight shift on his lower back.
Megumi, always so quiet and focused, was lying beside him with his head resting on Satoru’s spine, a children's science book in front of him. He was completely absorbed in the intricate diagrams and simplified explanations of how volcanoes worked, his little brow furrowed in concentration. Every so often, Megumi’s feet would twitch, the way they did when he was deeply engaged in something, but he never once moved from his spot against Satoru.
Tsumiki was sitting cross-legged on the bed, her fingers rapidly clicking away at Satoru’s old gameboy. Her brow furrowed in concentration, but a smile played on her lips, clearly enjoying the challenge of the pixelated world in front of her.
Satoru shifted slightly, adjusting himself under Megumi’s weight before propping his chin up on his hands.
"So..." he started, glancing between the two kids, his voice cutting through the calm "Looks like your mom’s running a bit late tonight. Guess it’s up to me to entertain you two."
Megumi barely looked up from his book, muttering something under his breath about having read enough stories on his own to last a lifetime. Typical Megumi - always more interested in facts than fantasy. But Tsumiki, on the other hand, paused her game just long enough to glance over at Satoru with wide, curious eyes.
"A bedtime story?" she asked, her voice soft but hopeful.
Satoru flashed her a grin "That’s right. I’m the backup storyteller tonight."
He could see the excitement flash across her face, even if she tried to hide it behind a casual shrug. Tsumiki always pretended to be more grown-up than she actually was, but Satoru knew better. She still loved the idea of fairy tales, of fantastical worlds where anything was possible. And while Megumi acted indifferent, Satoru could tell he was listening - he always was.
"Well ~" Satoru continued, rolling onto his side to get a better view of the both of them "How about I tell you a story about a powerful sorcerer who was so strong, even the curses were afraid of him?”
Megumi snorted, finally lifting his eyes from the pages of his book "Is this story about you?"
"Who else could it be about? You think there’s someone stronger than me out there?" Satoru grinned, that familiar playful glint returning to his eyes.
Tsumiki giggled from her spot on the bed, her gameboy forgotten in her lap "Boring~ Can you tell another story?" she asked, leaning forward, eager for something new.
Satoru was thinking for a moment.
"You’re just going to make something up, aren’t you?" aked Megumi, who was not so interested.
"Making things up is half the fun, Megumi! But..." he said, stretching his arms behind his head and settling into the carpet like a lounging cat "If you’re so smart, maybe you should tell the story tonight."
Megumi just rolled his eyes, shaking his head as he went back to his book.
"No, thanks." he muttered.
Tsumiki glanced between the two boys "Okay, okay." she said, her voice soft but filled with anticipation "What story are you going to tell us then?"
Satoru sat there, dramatically crossing his legs like a storyteller about to recount an ancient legend. Megumi sat down on the bed, next to Tsumiki. His expression was unfazed and sceptical of the idea.
Satoru rubbed his chin thoughtfully, his eyes sparkling with mischief "Alright, kids. Tonight, I’m going to tell you a tale - one full of love, betrayal, darkness, and light. A real fairy tale." he emphasized the last words dramatically, leaning in as if sharing a grand secret.
Tsumiki’s eyes widened with excitement, while Megumi, ever the skeptic, muttered "You’re just going to make it up as you go along."
Satoru gasped, putting a hand to his heart "How dare you! This is a story full of truth and wisdom, young knight. Just listen." he paused, the room filled with that perfect hush that happens just before a story begins.
"Once upon a time..." Satoru started, his voice low and mysterious "...in a kingdom not far from here, there was a young girl - let’s call her a Star. She had magical powers beyond anyone’s imagination. But she didn’t live in this kingdom alone, oh no. She had a friend, a wizard, the Moon, who was always by her side. They were inseparable, as close as they were twinkling in the same sky."
Tsumiki’s eyes gleamed with interest, hugging her stuffed bunny tighter "What kind of magic did she have?"
Satoru grinned, loving the attention "Ah, well, she had a very special kind of magic." he said, waving his hand theatrically "She could take other people's powers and use them as her own. A rare and powerful gift, don’t you think?"
Tsumiki nodded eagerly, while Megumi, though pretending to be uninterested, was clearly listening closely.
"Star and Moon grew up together, laughing, learning magic, and protecting their kingdom from danger. But they had another friend - another powerful wizard - let's call him a Sun." Satoru continued, gesturing grandly as if revealing a critical plot twist.
Tsumiki giggled, Satoru pressed on, his voice growing more animated.
"The three of them were the best of friends, their magic combining to protect their land. But then, one day, our little Star had to leave. She was sent to train with a master sorcerer in a distant land, to become even stronger. For an entire year, she couldn’t speak to anyone - not even her closest friends. It was a harsh and lonely training, full of cold winds and long, silent nights. But she knew it was her duty, and so she left, trusting that her friend and beloved one, would be waiting for her when she returned."
Megumi shifted again, leaning closer to the story despite himself "What happened while she was gone?"
Satoru’s expression shifted, becoming more solemn, more serious "Ah, well... this is where the tale takes a darker turn. While the Star was away, the Moon went on a dangerous mission. But the mission didn’t go well. The darkness of the world consumed him, crept into his heart, and he became the dark version of himself. The darkness twisted him, made him do terrible things. He burned down villages, destroyed homes... including the village where the Star and he himself was born."
Tsumiki’s face fell, and even Megumi’s usually stoic expression shifted into a frown.
"Why did he do that?" Tsumiki whispered.
Satoru sighed dramatically, his eyes full of faux sorrow "It wasn’t really the Moon anymore, he lost his way. The darkness had taken his judgment. When the Star returned, she found everything gone - her home, her people, her family. And worst of all, her friend and love of her life, Moon, was lost by her, consumed by that very darkness. She was devastated."
Megumi furrowed his brow "So, what did she do?"
Satoru leaned forward, lowering his voice "She didn’t want to see anyone. Not even the Sun. She felt like everything was her fault, beacuse she was gone when Moon needed her and she couldn't save him, so she locked herself away, not wanting to face the world."
Tsumiki’s face scrunched up with sympathy "That’s so sad."
Satoru nodded gravely, though a playful glint remained in his eyes.
"Indeed it was. But this is where the Sun comes in. You see, he wasn’t just going to let her be sad and alone forever. Oh no. He knew that she still mattered, not just to him, but to the world. So he stayed by her side - whether she liked it or not."
Tsumiki grinned "That sounds like you."
Satoru smirked "I told you it’s based on a true story." he winked before continuing, his voice growing softer, more serious "Sun reminded Star that he is just the same. That he is also a star... the brightest in the entire celestial sky. He showed her that he understands her in his own way. He reminded that she was loved, that she was needed, and that even though things were hard, she wasn’t alone. Slowly, she began to realize that her life wasn’t just about the past or what she’d lost. She had new people who cared about her. That soon, she will have a new family. And so, they made a promise to each other - a promise never to leave each other’s side, no matter how dark the world got, no matter how far apart they were."
The room grew quiet as his words sank in. Tsumiki looked at Satoru with wide eyes, while Megumi was quiet, processing the story in his usual thoughtful way.
"So..." Satoru said with a flourish "the Sun and Star, well, they lived in a world filled with challenges, but they faced them together. They became friends, family even, stronger because they chose not to face things alone."
Tsumiki tilted her head, a question brewing in her young mind "What happened to Moon?"
Satoru’s smile faltered for just a moment, a shadow crossing his features. He didn’t answer immediately, and when he did, his voice was softer, more careful "He’s still out there, somewhere. But that’s a story for another day."
The kids sat in silence for a while, digesting the story.
Eventually, Megumi broke the quiet "What’s the moral of the story?" he asked.
Satoru smiled, this time a little less teasing, a little more genuine "The moral is that no matter how difficult the experiences we face, we can always find light in them. The Moon forget that. Even when things are hard. And even when you feel like you’re alone... you never really are. You can find light even in the gloomiest darkness."
Tsumiki nodded, her eyes shining softly "That’s a good story, Satoru."
He grinned again "Of course it is. Now, it’s bedtime. And no complaints!"
Megumi rolled his eyes, but a small, almost hidden smile tugged at his lips "Yeah, yeah. Whatever."
Satoru carefully tucked the blanket around Tsumiki, his fingers brushing gently through her hair, as she blinked sleepily up at him "Sleep tight, little one." he whispered, smiling softly as her eyes fluttered shut.
Next, he turned to Megumi, who stood by the door, arms crossed, his usual cool composure in place.
As they stepped into the hallway, Satoru slung an arm around Megumi’s shoulders and asked with a teasing grin.
"So, want me to tuck you in too? Maybe even tell you a bedtime story like Tsumiki got?"
Megumi shot him a flat look "No, thanks."
"Thought so." Satoru chuckled, but despite Megumi’s resistance, Satoru gave his hair a quick ruffle anyway, much to Megumi’s annoyance "Goodnight, kiddo."
Leaving Megumi to retreat to his room, Satoru wandered into your bedroom, the soft click of the door closing behind him. He flopped onto the bed and grabbed his old gameboy, the one he took from the nightstand in Tsumiki's room, knowing full well that if he didn’t keep an eye on it, she’d likely sneak out of bed and play until morning.
Lying back, he thumbed the controls absentmindedly, the sound of pixelated beeps filling the room as he focused on beating her high score. Minutes turned into an hour, his eyes still glued to the screen, when he heard the door creak open behind him.
You entered, looking exhausted, already dressed in your pyjamas. You didn’t say anything, just collapsed onto the bed next to him with a groan.
Satoru glanced over at you with a smirk, still tapping at the buttons on the gameboy "I left your clean clothes in the bathroom" he said, his teasing tone gentler now "Figured you’d need them."
"I know, thank you." you murmured, barely keeping your eyes open.
He set the gameboy down and watched you for a moment, eyes softer than usual as he took in the weariness etched on your face "You want a bedtime story too? I’m on a roll tonight."
You laughed "Funny."
You were too tired to say much more, and after a long pause, you sighed and rolled onto your back, staring up at the ceiling.
Satoru leaned back next to you, the playful energy draining away as a comfortable silence settled between you both.

NVY Out of the 4 kids who is closest to which parent the most? I feel like each of the kids are too different in their own ways to be close to all 3 at the same time equally.
you can take your pick of which is your favourite, but here’s the general child headcanons of the fushisiblings and twins :)
every kid thinks geto and yourself are the most reliable and go to either of you for their weekly pocket money because gojo would forget or just slap them a couple ¥10,000 ($100) notes and call it a day. he once forgot to draw some small change, and straight up gave 11 year old tsumiki his black credit card as she stared on in confusion, wondering how she was gonna pay the poor lunch lady ¥130 ($1.30) for croquette bread.
i would say megumi and mimiko are more attached to the much more milder, calmer dyf mc. they’re more on the quiet, introverted side, and just want to relax somewhere they can feel comforted so they go to you. suguru gets to join in only when he’s alone and not within the presence of satoru.
nanako quite likes gojo, especially when she was younger. he’s bright, cheery and exciting. they get along really well.
mimiko is the one who likes to lay on your lap and take naps the most often out of all of the kids. that’s not to say that the rest don’t, but she does claim that spot as hers far too often for the others liking.
tsumiki, being the oldest, likes to act like she doesn’t play favourites, that she loves every parent equally. how responsible of her. she also especially likes cooking with suguru.
megumi has learned to be fiercely protective of his sisters while they’re at school. it’s not like the men at home have rubbed off on him or anything…! he just— y’know, kind of wants to be as cool as them. just kind of.
the kids are a much bigger fan of gojo than you think. he does try his best to be a good parental figure, buying them things whenever they mention a candy they want offhandedly, how their classmate brought this mochi from X region and it tasted really good, that new bread shop that just opened down the street that sold really pretty cakes…
did you notice how i mentioned only desserts? yes, his influence did rub off on all of them a little, due to him letting them indulge in one too many sweets when they were young; they’ve developed quite the major sweet tooth. even megumi and especially nanako. cafe-hopping to find the best sweets isn’t rare for her.
megumi never really thought he would get to be happy till this degree. the last time he probably even felt even the tiniest semblance close to this was probably back in those hazy days of his childhood, back before his mother passed. he’s thankful, he really is. for everyone that managed to help him get to this point, he genuinely loves them all.

okay last one monsieur sabé ,,, but a long one !!! 🪛
shoko setsuko ;; royal au, 🤝, 🌙, 🦅 !!!
suguru setsuko ;; cosmic deity au, 🤝, 🌹, 🥀 !!!
satoru setsuko ;; arranged marriage au, 🐱, 🧸, 🕊 !!!
sashisuse ;; 🧸, 🕊, 🌑, 🌹 !!!
whew… 🪛 anon… thank you but i’m going a bit crazy over here. OKAY. LAST ROUND. LET’S KNOCK EM OUT.
shotsuko
royal au; setsuko is the princess and she’s in love with the royal doctor. NEXT 🗣
🤝; how did they meet in the first place? what was their first impression of each other?
on the first day of school at jujutsu tech! formal greetings and whatnot. setsuko thinks shoko is one of the prettiest people ever and is so thrilled about the concept of her being a healer. shoko is hella intimidated by setsuko because she’s so damn pretty 😭 shoko i know what you are…….. also intimidated because setsuko’s technique is TERRIFYING.
🌙; who has to force the other into having healthy sleeping habits? how well does that go for em?
um both of them technically but it’s mostly setsuko forcing shoko to sleep. setsuko traps her in an iron grip and forces her to stay in the bed and sleep. laugh out loud. they’re so cute 😭
🦅; okay in the au where it’s JUST shotsuko… suguru, first off, is the BIGGEST hype man in this case. he’s so excited for his best friend and her ginormous crush on shoko. he pushes them together. satoru is a little oblivious but once he catches on he’s also on the shotsuko train!!
sugutsuko
cosmic deity au; oh setsuko is the sun, suguru is the moon. forever loving from afar but never being able to fully love each other. (going to eat drywall.)
🤝; AGHDHDJKDKFKFJF!!! here’s the excerpt
The day they moved in, Setsuko spotted a gloomy looking boy her age next door, watching her. She mustered a smile and waved at him. He seemed shocked at first, but he smiled and waved back. She doesn't think she would ever regret waving at him, no matter where they ended up twenty years from then. He was the first friend she ever made, and the only one she ever made in that chilly town. Setsuko met him again for the second time as she worked to clean the windows around the house. She saw him and smiled again. "Hello. I'm Tsuyuri Setsuko."
"Geto Suguru," the boy said. He stared at her for a moment then asked, "Would you like to have some tea?"
🌹; is their relationship healthy, or more unhealthy/complicated?
you know. it’s actually really healthy all things considered. it’s complicated for sure. but definitely healthy!
🥀; favorite thing about your ship?
how, no matter the universe, suguru and setsuko love each other so deeply, wholly, and completely. no matter if it’s platonic or romantic. it doesn’t matter. they love each other.
satotsuko
arranged marriage au; I HAVE A WHOLE THING BASED OFF OF THIS ACTUALLY!! crown prince satoru is about to become king. he’s arranged to a marriage with princess setsuko from a country across the ocean. they have their first meeting as a replica from the garden scene in queen charlotte when she meets george for the first time.
“i am a lady in distress 🤨 you will not help a lady in distress????” “not when she’s trying to climb over the garden wall to avoid marrying me” “😦😦😦”
🐱; do they have pet names for each other, if so what are they? how does their partner feel about their pet name?
satoru has an obscene amount of pet names for setsuko, it’s kind of ridiculous. she does not mind. she also has a few.
satoru calls her: sweets, sweetheart, cookie (she hit him over that one), lovey, babe, baby, sweet girl, honey, honey pie (she pinched him), honey bear, honey bee, sweetie pie, my sweets, pretty girl, pretty love, pretty baby, tsu-tsu, the list goes ON.
setsuko calls him: my love, honey, dear, toru, baby.
🧸; would they want to have kids together? if so what are their kid(s) like? how are they as parents?
oh well technically they already are parents. but also more like parentified big siblings…???? they raised salma, megumi, and tsumiki together. they’re great at it. setsuko more so than satoru. she mothers very hard. they would also have biological children given the chance, but they’re not super huge on that considering they’re both like. weapons of the state 😭 they would have a bunch of daughters though. i’m sure of this.
🕊; give just a general domestic tidbit for em (things they like about each other, routines, habits, and just overall sweet stuff)
aww okay omg. setsuko loves the moments of vulnerability she gets from satoru. she’s a firm believer of wanting him to just be satoru around her. not the strongest. satoru loves that setsuko loves him for him, not because of what he can do.
sashisuse!!
🧸; would they want to have kids together? if so what are their kid(s) like? how are they as parents?
okay my absolute favorite au is where it’s sashisuse and their five kids — tsumiki, nanako, mimiko, salma, and megumi (in order of oldest to youngest!) they’re all parents. they all love their kids. they’re the best. TRUST!!!
🕊; give just a general domestic tidbit for em (things they like about each other, routines, habits, and just overall sweet stuff)
see above for satotsuko dynamic. setsuko loves her closeness with suguru and how he knows her better than she knows herself. suguru loves that setsuko can basically read his every thought and always knows what he needs. setsuko loves how carefree she can be with shoko. shoko loves how she’s allowed to have the weight lifted off her shoulders with setsuko.
🌑; what was the canon character’s first impression of them, and what do they think of them now?
suguru: thought setsuko was very intriguing as his new next door neighbor. thought she was very sweet and kind. now he loves her so dearly. so wholly and completely and RRRGHHH
shoko: see above. was intimidated at first but grew to love setsuko and her silliness as a teen. loves her dearly to this day.
satoru: oh my god they annoyed each other so bad. satoru thought she was kinda dumb. and then she wore a digimon shirt and he was like ‘oh you like digimon??? tell me the ENTIRE LORE YOU FAKE FAN’ now loves setsuko dearly. unsurprising. she is basically the only person who can rein him in.
🌹; is their relationship healthy, or more unhealthy/complicated?
the healthiest and most loving dynamic you’ve ever seen.

Etsy Store Here l Ko-Fi l Commission Info
Part 1 Here! / Part 2 Here!/ Playlist Here!
* Alright so here are the facts as you know them
* Gojo’s a goddamn player and a homewrecker
* The boy probably has half of Tokyo after him
* Not that you can blame them, that pretty face had you fooled at first too
* The second fact, it that for whatever reason, Gojo Satoru has chosen to play house with a future hopeful sorcerer named Megumi Fushiguro
* Which, through forces outside your control, you have become involved with as well
* And the last fact, was that as soon as this no longer interested him or benefited him in any way, Gojo Satoru would abandon the situation entirely and act like it never happened
* So-
* “(Y/N/N), you look nice today, did you do something new with your hair?” Gojo sings
* - pray tell, why is the school prince is currently sitting on top of your desk, looking at you with those heart eyes
* “Oi what do you think you’re doing?” You ask, a vein threatening to pop on your forehead
* “I’m flirting with you~” he sings, only leaning closer with that all-too-pleased smile
* “I’m pretty sure this is bullying” you reply
* Ever since you’ve started pseudo-parenting Megumi and Tsumiki, Gojo’s been doing crap like this,
* Sometimes he tries to feed you at lunch,
* “Open wide (Y/N/N)~” He’ll sing as he holds out a piece of sushi towards you on some chopsticks
* Only for Megumi to eat it instead
* “Why do you look so sad papa, I thought you said I was your pride and joy”
* other times he’s holding doors open for you
* “Ah here let me-“
* You watch as he walks across from you and opens the door to a random void shrine
* You look at him before sighing and opening your own door to the library
* The other day you mentioned how you didn’t get to try the limited edition Sakura Pepsi and came back to your dorm with a bottle on your desk
* Which would be cute- if the bottle wasn’t half-empty with a note that he’d that said
* “Sorry, I got thirsty on the way back”
* Seriously he’s the worst- and yet,
* You turned away from Megumi and Gojo bickering, hoping he didn’t notice how flustered you were,
* you hid your laugh behind your hand as Gojo jogs to catch up with you, saying he was just trying to predict your needs-
* And you held the half-full bottle of Sakura Pepsi to your chest, keeping it on your window sill
* Because you love him-
* Even though you know he’s just doing all these things to entertain himself instead of out of genuine affection
* Even though these feeling will do nothing but hurt you
* You still love him
* He makes your life feel exciting and fun
* And more than that, underneath that moronic playboy exterior, is a gentle, lonely heart
* A heart that will run away as soon as it knows how you feel about it
* So you mask your budding feelings as best as you can
* Because the only thing you imagine is more painful than knowing your feelings won’t be returned-
* Is not having Gojo Satoru in your life at all
* So you do your best to pretend like nothing has changed
* You act just as indifferent as you always have-
* “Here-“ you push your dessert in Gojo’s direction. “You like sweets right?”
* His smile is so radiant you almost have to shield your eyes
* Well, mostly indifferent anyway
* Not that the self-absorbed moronic prince has seemed to notice anyway
* Too busy focusing on the scrumptious piece of cake in front of him
* Still Gojo isn’t one to be underestimated, he looks to you with a twinkle in his eyes
* “Let’s share it!”
* So far he’s tried twice to have an indirect kiss with you, and he’s missed twice
* He even threw away those chopsticks when Megumi ate that piece of sushi in frustration
* But you know what they say, third times the charm
* You look at Gojo with a raised eyebrow, gaze flicking between the cake and his face
* What, did he imbue some cursed energy so it would explode when you tried to take a bite
* “No thanks”
* Cue Gojo crying as he eats his cake
* He’s really been doing his best lately to earnestly pursue you
* But for some reason, you just don’t get it
* “I like you,” Gojo says as you’re walking side by side on your way back to the dorm after visiting Megumi
* You look back at him, and Gojo feels a blush start to fan across his face
* He finally did it! He finally confessed to you
* And his heart is drumming away in his chest
* You don’t seem to understand the monumental significance of what just occurred because what your mind heard was
* “I {really} like {teasing} you”
* You sigh, your heart skipped a beat, for a second you almost got your hopes up
* There’s no way lady killer Gojo Satoru would ever pick you to be one of his lovers, and if he did it would just be so you could be apart of his personal harem
* “Ok”
* And then you turn around and walk away
* Gojo can’t help but feel like this is retribution for all the times one of his romantic partners has said ‘I love you’
* And he responded with:
* “Why would you do that to yourself?”
* Or
* “Cool”
* At first he thinks it’s a straight-up rejection, but he figures out pretty fast that you just didn’t get it when you keep acting the same as you always have around him
* But don’t get it wrong babe, none of this deters Gojo in the slightest
* “Why are you looking at me like that?” You ask
* You’re both in the library, but only one of you is actually studying
* Gojo’s been staring at you with an oddly fixated gaze
* Honestly it’s got you feeling an uncomfortable heat spreading from your face to your neck
* “I’m not giving up you know”
* Giving up on what?!?
* What’s going on right now!!?
* But Gojo doesn’t offer any more insight choosing instead to finally bother reading the book in his hands
* What a weird guy
* You look down to your own book
* You feel the heat linger on your face and neck
* It’s because he’s always saying crap like that, that you’ve caught feelings for him
* Well whatever, everything fades right? Eventually, Gojo will probably lose interest in you-
* He’s part of a clan do you imagine they’ll find a nice girl from a respectable family for him to marry
* They’ll probably have a few kids who’ll be next in line to succeed him
* And by then he’ll be in such a prominent position that you’ll never see him again
* He’ll just be a memory
* Some boy you had a youthful unrequited love with
* The thought makes your heart clench but-
* “It’s for the best,” you tell yourself
* You’re going in completely opposite directions in life, you couldn’t possibly home for anything more than what you have
* After all your luck probably ran out the second you saw his face
* The most beautiful man you’ll ever see
* “I bet he would be one of those handsome grandpas when he gets older” you snort
* The kind that charms and flirts with young men and women just because he knows the effect he has on them.
* You still can’t believe you fell in love with someone like that
* “What a pain” you mumble to yourself, falling back on your bed
* You feel uncertain, afraid of the future even.
* Maybe a snack will help
* It’s the middle of the night, way past the time you were supposed to go to bed when you see him in the kitchen
* Great the last person you wanted to run into
* He’s just standing there in front of the fridge with the door open
* He hasn’t even turned around to say hi or anything
* “Oi Baka prince if you leave the door open like that every-“
* You stop mid-word, you only need one look at his face to know something is wrong
* It’s not all that uncommon for him to do something like this-
* See the thing is, Gojo knows he’s strong enough that he will get to choose when he dies- he’s not bound by the same pain the other sorcerers are, but-
* Well, he’s still going to die
* No matter how much he thinks he’s like god, no matter how powerful he is,
* He’s still going to die
* And growing up with the power he’s had and the mindset that he’s the strongest
* The realization can be pretty crippling
* He so afraid of the uncertainty that brings that most times he can’t move
* The worst part is it’s never when he’s actively thinking about death, or even when he’s on the job
* It’s always at times like this when he’s just woken up and is oddly hungry and he’ll remember
* “Oh, I’m going to die aren’t I?”
* And then it’s like he’s frozen solid
* What is it he usually tells the victims that enter his domain?
* “Funny how when you can do everything, you find you can’t do anything”
* Usually he manages to unfreeze after some unspecified amount of time, getting through it on his own
* But this time, when he finally escapes from the domain of his inner mind he’s covered in a layer of sweat just like always-
* But he’s not sure why he sprawled across the floor
* Not until his head shifts a little, only to see your face looming over him
* Omgomgomgomgomgomgomgomg
* He’s resting his head in your lap!!!
* Honestly this has been a fantasy of his for a while, to have his head in your lap while looking at the cherry blossoms, and you feed him chocolates and a gentle wind caresses your face
* BUT NOT LIKE THIS
* “Feeling better?” You ask
* Gojo thinks he might combust, he moves to sit up but winces
* He’s got the worst headache, these little episodes of his do typically end with a migraine
* Your hand feels nice and cold as it rests against his forehead
* “Rest a little longer, we’re not in any hurry”
* Aaaaand now he’s screaming on the inside again
* “Sorry about this” he mumbles, and you can’t help but smile
* It’s oddly endearing to see a shy Gojo Satoru
* “I bet your lovers would kill me if they saw knew you were showing me such a cute side” you’re half-joking when you say it, but you’re also half-serious
* It gives your Ego a little boost to know you’ve seen a side of him that most of his lovers probably haven’t
* You doubt the mighty Gojo Satoru ever allows himself to be this vulnerable, not even while he’s in the throes of passion
* So that same earnest look on his face startles you
* “I don’t have any other lovers”
* You snort
* “Sure, and I definitely didn’t steal Geto’s pudding that he was saving”
* “I’m being serious”
* Gojo sighs, here he is feeling awfully vulnerable and you still seem denser than a rock
* Do you think he would let anyone other than you see him like this
* “When are you going to realize that if it’s not you then it’s just no good?”
* Your heart is drumming in your ears, and you wonder if he can hear it
* Your mind is telling you to pull back, that this is way too good to be true, that this will only hurt you,
* You should get away while you still have a chance
* But instead something in you persists and you say:
* “Why do you think that is”
* Gojo’s hand reaches up, twirling a strand of your hair around his finger, those clear blue eyes looking straight into yours
* Your breath stutters in your chest
* You always have been weak for those eyes
* His pink lips curl up into a smile
* “Because I love you”
* And before you know what you’re doing your bending down, pressing your lips against his
* “I love you too”
Bonus:
* “You can see through it right?” You ask
* Gojo fidgets with the blindfold, honestly he was hoping for a much kinkier reason than replacing his scuffed sunglasses when you gave him the blindfold
* “It’s a little darker, but that’s not a bad thing.”
* His hair is out of his face too which is nice
* But-
* “What’s with the sudden gift?”
* It’s not exactly out of character for you to get the people you care about something, but this seems a little outside of your usual MO
* “I just felt like it” You mumble
* Now that his eyes are covered up you think he might attract a little less attention, and all his former flings probably won’t be able to recognize him
* Your eyes drift to his uniform, even in the gross pantsuit you can still tell he’s got a pretty nice body,
* But you’ll have to adjust
* Gojo sees right through your nonchalant answer, smiling that wolfish grin
* “Aw was my sweetie scared I was going to leave them?” He coos, moving ever so close
* You only turn away your face
* Gojo only grins wider
* “Honey~ you should know by now if it’s not you then I’m not interested” he sings in your ear

Divine (Dogs) Intervention
Pairing: Megumi x Reader
Prompt: Accidental Kiss
Summary: Megumi forms his own views of love
A/N: This is for the Anilysium SFW Collab. Masterlist can be found here!
Megumi sighs in relief, grateful for the peace and quiet the further he treks into the woods surrounding Jujutsu High. As much as he’s become accustomed to Nobara’s snide but clever remarks and Itadori’s silly cheerful ramblings, he cherishes the time he can truly be by himself, one with nature, one with the darkness and shadows curling inside, calling to him.
He takes a careful look around, eyes narrowing as he tries to find any hint of Gojo’s cursed energy lingering anywhere. But deeming himself well and truly alone, he grins, hands coming together and forming a seal, letting his guard down as his divine dogs wag their tails, growling and jumping around him playfully.
Megumi knows the rest of the Zenin clan would sneer and mock him if they saw how he lets the shikigami play, how he pets and coddles them as if they really were just two oversized dogs. But after all the pain and loneliness they’ve caused him, that he’s suffered through, he thinks he’s allowed some indulgences. And if that small relief comes in the form of two black and white furry packages, so be it.
He blames the fact that it’s a rare day without missions or lessons for his carelessness, for the way he doesn’t sense your presence. But fortunately for him, his dogs aren’t nearly as oblivious and his eyes widen in alarm as they cease their scuffle with each other, ears and heads suddenly alert. And suddenly they’re racing off into the distance, deeper and deeper into the forest, and it’s all he can do to keep them within view as he chases after the two excited creatures.
Megumi’s tempted to call their names, order them to stop, but a sense of curiosity and apprehension keeps him quiet and he continues to trail silently, on guard about what exactly has caught their attention. He hones in on the energy surrounding him, expanding his senses, broader and broader…
There.
The presence is so human, so normal, it’s no surprise it had completely slipped underneath Megumi’s radar. He feels his shoulder loosen, only to tense in mortification when he hears a crash and finds his two gigantic dogs pinning you to the ground, panting, licking, and slobbering all over your face as you squeal and flail.
“Off! Get off her!”
Megumi rolls his eyes in fond exasperation as the dogs whine at the harshness of his tone, bouncing back and forth from licking and nudging his hand for head pats to prove he’s not too angry (which he grants them) to giddily nuzzling their noses against your face, sniffing you curiously but barking happily when you get over your initial shock and begin to coo and pet them as you sit up.
You certainly don’t seem like a threat and Megumi allows himself to relax and observe you when he ascertains that you’re just a civilian who’s accidentally found themselves here. He hasn’t met many humans outside of the small circle of jujutsu sorcerers he’s been raised among and he can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia, a sense of what-ifs as he watches you, so carefree, so innocent, so naive as you pet and play with what you think are just two adorable dogs. He wonders if that’s what his life could have been like too if his parents were still around, if he’d never gotten entangled with Gojo, with the Zenin, with jujutsu sorcerers.
But he knows better than to dream, forced too early on to understand how heavy the weight of reality is and he brings himself back to the present. He offers you a hand to help you stand, apologizing for his dogs, although he snorts about how clearly not sorry they are as they continue circling between and around your legs, practically begging for more attention.
“You really shouldn’t be here. These are the school’s private grounds.”
Even Megumi winces at how harsh he sounds and he awkwardly rubs the back of his head as you flinch, frantically apologizing and looking like you’re about to run to be anywhere else but here.
“But if you want to stick around just for today while I’m here, that’s fine…”
He trails off, ducking his face underneath the high collar of his uniform to hide the red flush gracing his visage as you gratefully beam at him, eyes sparkling, smile radiant.
But the dogs boredly circling the two of you and tired of whining for attention are not nearly as enamored with your demeanor as Megumi and suddenly two heavy weights are leaping on Megumi’s back, forcing him to topple forward, bringing you down with him. And as your bodies crash to the ground, your lips meet.
Physical intimacy is not something Megumi has ever had the chance to become closely acquainted with, platonic or romantic. He freezes at how soft yet solid your lips are against his, your scent that wafts around him from your proximity, the warmth of your body beneath his. He’s been privy to quite possibly the world’s most stunning eyes, but as he gazes into yours, so close that it feels like your eyelashes will accidentally entangle, he vaguely thinks that Gojo’s eyes have nothing on yours.
But time isn’t frozen for all and the two of you yelp when wet tongues and furry heads join the two of you, the dogs whining for attention and to be included in what they think is just two human-sized dogs playing with each other. And embarrassed, the two of you gratefully scramble to take life’s easy way out, separating from each other and each grabbing one dog to coddle and distract yourselves with.
However even as adorable as they are, the dogs only partially take your minds off of what just transpired and your face heats as your fingers absentmindedly brush against your lips, remembering the comforting heat pressed against them. Megumi’s not faring much better as he subtly tries to glance at you between pets, ducking his flushed face beneath his collar once again when he accidentally catches you touching your lips, the action making his own lips tingle in pleasant memory.
But it’s more than just the physical, it’s an awakening of sorts. All his life Megumi has been raised with a sense of duty, of responsibility. Romance, love, those are all foreign concepts to him, concepts none of the adults or kids he grew up with, other than Yuta, cared for. And as much as he respects his senpai, he’s not sure if that’s necessarily the kind of love he wants for himself (no disrespect to the Queen of Curses).
He’s not saying this is love, it definitely isn’t...yet. It’s curiosity, attraction, interest at most. But he’s surprised by how much he craves it. He’s grown up associating love with pain, death, and loss. No one told him it could also be so freeing. No one told him how normal it would feel. No one told him that it would be the sprinkle of water and ray of sunlight he needed to help grow the cold bud that lay dormant in him after the loss of his father and Tsumiki.
For once he feels hope, feels like this might truly be a new beginning and as the little plant in his heart finally blossoms, he takes the initiative he’s avoided for so long, letting himself be greedy, letting himself believe that maybe, just maybe, there’s something more for him than exorcising curse after curse.
He asks you about your life, your family, your friends, your interests and then he does what he’s always done best. He listens, finding peace in the cadence and pitch of your voice, feeling his heart flutter as you grow more and more comfortable, becoming more animated as you tell him about your favorite foods, the school subject you struggle with the most, the plans you have coming up for your friend’s birthday. And in return he tells you about the father figure/older brother in his life who has a sweet tooth, the cheerful idiot who lives next to him, and the loud-mouthed female classmate who recently joined Jujutsu High.
But before he can continue on, trying to figure out what to leave out for now and how to sugar coat the rest, his eyes widen in surprise at how dark it’s gotten, how low the sun is in the sky. Quickly catching on to what’s caught his attention when you see him cut off mid-sentence and check the time on his phone, you sheepishly laugh, a hint of disappointment in the sound as you lament on having to part ways with the boy you’ve just met yet who’s somehow nestled a way into your heart.
“I guess I should be going. It’s getting late.”
“I’ll walk you to the train station.”
You can’t help the smile that spreads across your face as his tall lean form stands up with yours, a furry dog on either side of you as the four of you make your way out of the forest and down paved sidewalks. The two of you bask in these last moments together, something distressing twisting at your insides when you see the station up ahead, the feeling of finality settling heavily on your shoulders.
There’s already the bitter taste of farewell on Megumi’s tongue as the two of you stand in front of the station entrance, a taste he’s far too familiar with. But before he can utter a word, he’s startled by a bright screen being shoved in his face, eyes blinking in surprise as he stares at the empty contact form in front of him.
“You know...Umm...In case I want to trespass on private property again or if you want to go to that cat cafe I talked about earlier…”
Before you can make a fool of yourself any longer, long slender fingers are plucking the phone from your hands, and relief flows through you as you watch Megumi type his name and number in. There’s an extra bounce in your step when you gleefully take your phone back and he playfully rolls his eyes at the way you mischievously stick your tongue out at him when he lightly warns you not to just waltz onto Jujutsu High property without him as a guide.
And as you board the train, both of you exchanging farewells and even the dogs wagging their tails in their own silent form of goodbye, Megumi smiles down at the new text that appears on his screen, swiftly saving your contact before making his way back to the school.
Maybe he’d have to reconsider his aversion to exploring Tokyo.

An appetite for destruction Ch. 2 [JJKxreader]
City folk were strange.
That’s what you thought as you began to adjust to your new life. Even strangers such as Gojo tried to come up with ideas to hide your ears. A friend of his had called them ‘antennae’, but Gojo said calling them ears sounded cuter. You still didn’t know what he meant. But it was nice to get new things. Right away, you realized Gojo was rich.
He was more eager to take you shopping than you were to shop. Buying all sorts of clothing and taking pictures. Hats, hairbands, scarfs, and hair clips were purchased to hide your ears in various ways. Gojo eagerly combed through your hair and brushed it as he tried various styles.
“Does it hurt?” he asked.
“No,” you said.
He was surprisingly gentle.
“Well good, I have another kid I need to pick up. Two of them actually” he smirked.
You looked at him with a devastating look, backing away from him slowly.
“Hold on! They're not my kids!” he exclaimed.
Gojo explained the situation, these kids were abandoned by their parents. One was being sold off so he wanted to avoid that from happening. It made you wonder what your case was?
“The boy will know about you, but his sister won’t. Just tell her that your ears are hair for now. She is a regular human as far as I know” Gojo warned.
A regular human…
“Big bro Gojo…” you began.
“Niichan~” Gojo sang.
You pouted at him but didn’t repeat yourself.
“Am I…a regular human?” you asked.
Gojo let his sunglasses slip down his nose as he looked at you. Since the first time you saw his eyes, you found them to be breathtaking. Something drew you into them and you felt any words die on your tongue.
“You are an extraordinary human” he smirked.
----
Megumi Fushiguro was dry.
You had never met a child like him before, but he reminded you of the statues around the shrine. He never seemed to be excited by anything and always was indifferent. Only when Gojo teased him too much did he show any anger or irritation.
Well, he was pretty annoyed that Gojo took you along on missions with him.
He mentioned that no one questioned him since he was the strongest. But he took you along so he could monitor you. He still wasn’t sure what you were capable of and wanted to find out what made you tick. He also couldn’t afford to leave you alone with Megumi or Tsumiki. It would also make it faster for you to learn about the Jujutsu world as a whole.
“Watch papa work okay~?” Gojo mused as he went to confront a curse.
It was a special grade, but it was weak even for his standards. This wouldn’t take long.
“Hungry…” you groaned and held your stomach.
You had eaten a while ago, but you were still growing. Gojo chalked it up to you beginning to manifest cursed energy or something.
“Well go get okonomiyaki later!” Gojo cheered as he went ahead.
The fight wouldn’t take long, but he wanted to show off a bit. He used flashy moves and dodged the curse playfully. Yeah, he could already see (y/n)’s face lit with excitement. He was eager to hear their prases and finished off the curse.
“(y/n)~ What did you think-” he stopped as he realized you were no longer standing where he left you.
Gojo looked around, you couldn’t have gotten far! You were barely tall enough to move that fast! He raised himself high up, looking for you from overhead. He hadn’t sensed a curse, but he couldn’t rule out the possibility. Relief washed over him when he saw you about a block away, following a woman. There was a small curse on her shoulder, causing her to haunch over.
“Kids, always want to be like their parents” he sighed.
But he saw a hungry look in your eyes, your hat had fallen off. Your ears were on display and he could see an aura of cursed energy. He could sense cursed energy from you, but it never manifested into any techniques. Why now?!
‘I ate it'
You weren’t going to, you couldn’t be!
‘Hungry, so hungry’
Your stomach grumbled in a way that hurt. You weren’t sure you could wait for Gojo and began to walk in hopes of finding a convenience store. You had a small purse with some coins in it, you could get something to tide you over until then. Ahead of you, there was a woman holding some groceries. Your eyes locked onto the strange creature on her shoulder. Suddenly, your mouth began to water.
Something drew you toward the woman, telling you to go after her. Your teeth tingled with the urge to bite something. Salvia pooled in your mouth and you couldn’t help but sigh out to relieve this feeling. You wanted something in your mouth, something to bite. Something to eat.
‘Hungry! I’m hungry!’
Gojo brought himself down fast, appearing behind you. But you were already lunging at the woman. Sharp teeth that didn’t match the dental makeup of a child shined in the street lights. In the short time, he had known you, Gojo had to admit he had grown attached. Unlike him, you had started with nothing, but you had a light to you. It was hope for the next generation, hope that you would grow into someone better than him.
If you ate a human, that would all be a far-off dream.
“(y/n)!” he shouted as he prepared to attack.
Although he knew you, he didn’t want to kill you. The second you killed a human, he would have to. He watched as you bit down on the curse, your teeth sinking into it. A shrill scream echoed out as the curse evaporated. The residual cursed energy went into your mouth and you chewed it up like bread.
“Eh? Did you need something?” the woman turned around and asked you.
“I was going to the convenience store, but never mind,” you said quickly as you put your hat back on.
You hadn’t even realized it fell off!
Gojo was quick to run up and scoop you into his arms.
“There you are, sweetie! Running off on your own, so naughty! You scared me half to death” he said as he snuggled his cheek against yours.
Before the woman could say anything, he ran off with you. He had to tell Yaga about this.
-------
It didn’t take long for you to begin your training. Gojo was adamant to start training you and Megumi in at least martial arts. But you felt like Gojo was bullying you a bit.
“Why a bell?” you asked as you toyed with the bell around your neck.
It was a choker, easily passing as a weird fashion sense. But considering you had an extra set of ears on top of your head, it felt like he was making fun of you.
“It’s a seal, it keeps your cursed energy in check. The sound from the bell is on the same level as cursed energy, so normal humans can’t hear it” Gojo explained.
“Couldn’t you have used anything else?” you asked.
“Isn’t it super cute?!” Gojo gave you a silly smile.
“Figures he put his own odd taste into it” Megumi sighed.
Your first year of junior high was going to be a nightmare.
Tsumiki was a gread higher, but she promised to help you around the school. Megumi opted out, leaving you to learn from her dutifully. She was a kind person, treating you like a younger sibling despite the circumstances. You still found it hard to believe the two were related. After a few months, you began to notice something different about Megumi. He seemed far off as if he wasn’t “there”.
“Megumi” you called to him.
“Where do you get off calling me like that?” he said dryly.
“We live together” you made a face at him.
“So?” he grumbled.
“Calling you Fushiguro is a mouthful and your sister has the same name” you argued.
It was moments like these you would see Megumi look a bit disappointed and turn away from you. It was obvious he was sulking, but you never understood why he was so difficult.
“Anyways, what did you want?” he asked.
“Is something bothering you? You seem distracted” you asked.
His lips tightened into a thin line and he stared at you.
“You’re doing it again, the constipated look” you added.
“Mind your own business!” Megumi shouted and walked down the hallway.
“The nurse has ant-lactid!” you called after him.
Poor Megumi
------
“A love letter? Oh my,” Tsumiki giggled.
You heard about these things, but you never really understood them. Why write a letter? Just meet in person and get it over with. But you opened the letter so Tsumiki could read it.
“How romantic, are you going up to the roof later?” she asked.
“I dunno, I want to eat curry bread…” you sulked.
“Oh, come on! Be serious!” Tsumiki laughed.
Megumi looked at the letter as if it was a complaint.
“I think you shouldn’t go,” he said plainly.
“Oh Megumi, you don’t understand at all. This is the moment of youth, blossoming love! It would also be rude of you to not at least let him down easy” Tsumiki argued.
Megumi didn’t say anything, leaving the two of you alone as he stalked off to somewhere else.
“Okay” you agreed half-heartedly.
When it was time to meet up with the boy who wrote the letter, you were surprised to find him bruised and battered. His eyes went wide as he saw you and immediately began bowing.
“S-Sorry! I didn’t mean to write that letter! I apologize for leading you on. Bye!” he shouted as he ran back down the stairs.
Tsumiki came running through the door a few seconds later.
“W-What happened?” she gasped.
“I was rejected?” you gaped.
You failed to notice Megumi was extra tired that evening.
-----
“How is (y/n)?” Yaga asked.
“Growing like a beansprout, I’m so proud!” Gojo cheered.
The air in the room turned serious shortly after.
“Although, those old farts are starting to take notice. I don’t know how much longer I can keep it a secret” he continued.
“Well, they are showing exceptional control. There isn’t a need to feed them curses anymore, but that seal you put on…” Yaga trailed off.
“Oh don’t worry, we have an agreement. Never take it off unless I can’t be there” Gojo grinned.
Even though Yaga had sunglasses on, Gojo could tell he was glaring at him.
“But don’t worry, I have a fail-safe in Megumi. If anything, never separate those two and we have nothing to worry about” Gojo continued.
“I didn’t take you to be a matchmaker” Yaga sighed.
“Eh? With my children?! No way! (y/n) only has eyes for papa! Moi!” Gojo shouted.
Although, he didn’t appear displeased by that comment.

The Moon Also Burns
Pairings: Megumi, Yuji & Nobara (platonic), Megumi & Yuji (platonic)
Genre: Angst, Introspection, Emotional
⚠️ Content Warning: Implied/Referenced Torture, Implied/Referenced Character Death
Word Count: 3.3K
Status: Complete
Summary: Megumi, usually cool and detached, reflects on Yuuji and their differences since they met as his noticeable absence has bred a gnawing grief.
Inspired by the second EP and animation sequence that I find so devastatingly wistful and perfect after ruminating on this brain worm yesterday.
EXCERPT
For a while, it escaped the other students’ notice, the way Yuuji would capture these passing moments. Some were bizarrely mundane like study groups or training. They dulled in excitement as time dragged on and they became routine but Yuuji would still insist on recording them, perhaps because he knew better than anyone how fleeting they were. Yuuji had made a place for himself in this world and in the hearts of those around him. With the fervor he approached everything, you would never think he was living on borrowed time. While jujutsu sorcerers frequently faced their own mortality, Yuuji’s carefree demeanor made it easy to forget he had an actual expiration date at all.
A/N: Contains spoilers or implied spoilers through chapter 164. Characters might be a little OOC a bit toward the end but, in light of everything up to chapter 164 and after, they might understandably be a little less steely. Let me know what you think below!
—
Megumi awoke to the painful feeling of his own knit brows. How long had they been like that? Furrowed in anguish, he massaged them with two fingers before giving up and burying his face into his pillow. Tears he hadn’t realized had gathered and dampened the cloth before he raised his face and pat at his wet cheeks questioningly.
His lids felt heavy once again, struggling to recall what could have perplexed him so much in his sleep. It was the first time in a while that he felt as if he’d slept at all. He turned to face his alarm clock while the numbers 5:23 burned red and reminded him he still had over three hours before his first alarm. He tried to feign sleep, hopeful to immerse himself in a dream once more but couldn’t help but to toss and turn. Mentally, he called back to the peace he found in his slumber. He was certain what drove him to tears was not the dream itself but rather how far removed it was from reality.
He rolled over once more, 5:34. Realizing the fruitlessness of trying to drift back to sleep, he raised himself up on his elbows and washed a hand over his face dejectedly. He canvassed his room, light slowly beginning to pierce his curtains and glimmer in the modest space. It suddenly felt foreign to him. Before he knew it, he was on his feet dragging along the same path he’d tread night after night, morning after morning.
He was reluctant before, having someone invade his space so casually. There were a bunch of empty rooms, after all. Jujutsu High wasn’t exactly a school known for its bustling student populace. It was small and extremely isolated. As were many of the students who ended up here. Just kids whose abilities often meant they were persecuted in the worst of cases or outcasts in the best of scenarios.
Megumi was a little different where that was concerned. He was young when his abilities manifested and in the care of the strongest sorcerer in recent history. On the one hand, he received the support and training from someone who’d always been in jujutsu society. On the other, he had the balance of Tsumiki, his step-sister who was not a sorcerer and kept him grounded in his surroundings as a regular person. This was before she wound up the victim of a curse, herself.
From then, Megumi simply chose to sequester himself. Never getting close to anyone because he knew their proximity to him could bring them misfortune. Or more specifically, another heart wrenching goodbye for him. While he wasn’t strong like Gojo, he had a knack for surviving situations greater sorcerers had perished in. In fact, even Tsumiki’s curse was an ever present reminder that good people were frequently casualties where uncaring, unfeeling scum like himself went on unscathed. Or maybe that’s what he told himself while ensconced in a shell of survivor’s guilt time and time again. Years went by like this until one person effortlessly pole vaulted over the wall he’d built around himself.
His hand gripped the doorknob timidly. He knew there was no point in knocking, there was no one to let him in. Or rather, no one to reiterate that the door was open because the door was always open.
One thing about Yuuji Itadori is that he never locked his door to anyone. Not Megumi and his cool nonchalance, Nobara and her comically large ego, Maki and her hostility, Inumaki and his penchant for trolling, Yuta and his crippling anxiety, Panda and his affinity for endless questions nor Gojo and his infinite capacity for nonsense that frequently inconvenienced others. Yuuji welcomed everyone wholly in a way that gave grace to what they considered their flaws. In fact, he’d frequently put said flaws on pedestals as pillars of their strength.
He would remark how Megumi always kept a level head, Nobara was his go to for hair and skin care, Maki was an intimidating bad ass, Inumaki was always able to make everyone laugh, Yuta was thoughtful about everyone and their feelings, Panda always made him think hard about stuff and that Gojo, his beloved sensei, kept everything interesting. Nanamin, as he’d been affectionately known, always made him feel safe. Even if it sometimes felt like he was being babied. Yuuji was loud with how much he cared for everyone and the dorms had come to feel so silent in his absence.
Megumi would always make it this far before slumping in front of Yuuji’s door until his legs fell asleep beneath him or someone would shoo him to bed, warning against colds and fevers. In the stillness of the early morning, he pushed past his base desire to wilt at the door powerlessly.
Turning the handle, his eyes were nearly blinded by the sunlight that poured into the abandoned room through ever drawn curtains. He smiled grimly thinking how on brand that was of Yuuji before walking in. His room was just as modest as Megumi’s as he came to Jujutsu High with very little. But the personal effects that littered Yuuji’s room seemed to bring more life than the bare necessities of his own room.
Slowly, he made a lazy circle around the room, first stopping at Yuuji’s desk. Loose papers with Yuuji’s scrawled handwriting spread haphazardly, assignments with due dates long since passed. A thin layer of dust gathered on a number of manga stacked to one side, clear distractions from any attempts at doing homework. Megumi ran a finger along the broken and weathered spines of some of Yuuji’s favorite series. An unexpected chuckle escaped his mouth as he recounted all the times Yuuji would liken cursed techniques to the special moves in whatever manga was presently rotting his brain.
A stop at the window treated him to the sprawling landscape of Jujutsu High’s manicured grounds. How many times had Yuuji taken in this sight, probably in some silly power pose readying himself for the day? Another chuckle as Megumi realized only an idiot like Yuuji could look at the same sight day after day and never tire of it. He contemplated closing the curtains but knew that would just steal a part of what made this room Yuuji’s. Instead, he inhaled the sunlight with closed eyes, steadying his breath. The birds outside the window chirped relentlessly, unaware of the intruder taking in their song.
Yuuji’s partially made bed rounded the tour and Megumi couldn’t help but laugh disapprovingly. He was raised by Gojo and even he managed hospital corners, what was this? It looked like Yuuji woke up one morning and hastily threw the covers back, knowing he’d have time to do a proper job later before tearing out of his room, late for an adventure. His pillow looked like it still cradled the shape of Yuuji’s head.
Megumi stretched a hand down to smooth a crease in the pillow before resigning himself to just spill into the bed instead. As if the memory that the pillows and covers held could somehow be made flesh once more if given a host. He couldn’t recall how much time had passed since Yuuji last slept in this bed, but judging by how faint the smell of his hair products were, he knew his presence was nearly faded. The thought made his stomach plummet down to his feet.
How much longer would this room feel more like a museum than a dorm? The place had felt more like a home than anywhere he or the other students had been in a long time. Yuuji could always be counted on to cook something up late at night that the students would share, family style. Smothering their late night laughs into their hands to avoid the ire of whatever teacher was on duty. Yuuji kept a library of manga and movies as after care from tough missions and would frequently take part in the shenanigans dreamt up by Inumaki or Gojo if only to make someone smile. Little did he know, a glimpse of Yuuji in one of Nobara’s animal headbands was usually enough to pull at the corners of anyone’s lips. He always did his best to fill in the gaps of his friends’ lives so his absence seemed to hit everyone in similar measure.
Megumi rolled on his side facing the wall and felt the shape of a smart phone still plugged in beneath him. Countless missed calls and text messages flooded the home screen and Megumi rolled his eyes, internally chastising Yuuji for leaving a phone plugged in for so long knowing that’s how batteries lose their lifespan. Give something too much power and, eventually, it’s sure to break down.
He sighed as he unlocked the phone and scrolled to the photo album. Familiar faces splashed by as he scrolled. Some were smiling portraits, others were group candids but most of the pictures and videos focused on Yuuji’s time and connection to Jujutsu High.
In retrospect, it made sense why he’d clung to moments like these and saw the beauty in their simplicity. He appreciated the softness of each of his friends when they weren’t paying attention. They’d all built tough exteriors, battle tested time and time again, tempered by loss and humbled by their weakness despite their age. But with his camera, he could steal glimpses of Nobara chewing on her pencil or he’d catch an elusive smile from Megumi after a Gojo prank backfired and he’d treasure it. With limited time, he sought meaning in everything and wrung love out of everyone, grasping for happiness in the same way sand spills through an hourglass. Who were these pictures for?
The last video on his phone, the whole gang gathered on the beach, a rare reprieve from studies and missions. Gojo had dragged everyone out in their winter coats, even though it was off-season and empty. They playfully flirted with the ebb and flow of the shoreline, knowing the water would be ice cold as Gojo watched over them from the van he’d commandeered. Their breath created small clouds with every word. How many times had they witnessed a sunset that meant nothing? This one was special. Unbeknownst to them, it was the last they saw with Yuuji and, alas, one another as a group.
Megumi recalled sullenly the crestfallen look on Yuuji’s face as he stared at his friends through the small screen of his phone. Maybe he’d already known by then that this would be the last video, the last group picture, because there was an unmistakable tinge of sadness as he rejoined them. He stared fondly at everyone as if in thanks, even as Nobara playfully ground her fist into his hair.
Megumi watched the video over and over, losing track of the number of smiles that blurred in front of him. Thick tears welled up before he clutched the phone to his chest in sorrow, closing his eyes. His brows found a natural furrow once more as his earlier dream shifted into focus. Of course, Megumi had dreamt of that Cheshire smile and the laughter of his friends. How long had it been since that laughter didn’t hurt? He could still feel the way Nobara’s hand felt clasped in his as he’d drag her away from a shop, could feel the weight of Yuuji’s arm slung over his shoulders any time he said something cheesy.
As his eyes opened, he caught the teasing gaze of Yuuji’s Meg Thee Stallion poster, a staple from his first day at Jujutsu High. Megumi wheezed a breathy laugh as he wiped away tears from one of his eyes, the other locked on Meg. He recalled Yuuji’s proud preference for tall women with big butts and how he’d insert that trivia as part of his introductions to new people regardless of whether it was appropriate for present company or not. Megumi dug the balls of both of his palms into his eyes, an attempt to dispel the vision of Yuuji in his mind’s eye.
Megumi could never be that declarative. When asked what his ideal type was, after a beat he was forced to admit that his ideal person would always be someone who was compassionate. Nothing else mattered. It had been a long time since Tsumiki had been left in a coma, she was one of the best people that Megumi knew. After that, he’d spent so much time in auto-pilot until the warmth of Yuuji’s genuine concern for his friends and later, Megumi himself, jarred him from his reverie. Yuuji made quite the splash in Megumi’s life. He forced him to stop looking at crowds as faceless and hopeless people and focus on the fates and motivations of each person. Everyone was worth saving if it meant one out of every thousand was a Yuuji Itadori. Yuuji, who shone bright like the sun with his silly pink hair and unbridled smile, carved paths into everyone’s heart.
A light knock at the door drew Megumi’s attention. Without response, the person entered quietly and smiled weakly at Megumi’s patchy, tear streaked face. Nobara stood shrinking in on herself in nervous anticipation, looking as though she could crumple to the ground at any moment. Her remaining eye studied Megumi with concern. She drew a hand up to her mouth, highlighting a morose smile. “He’s here,” she breathed.
Megumi shot up and threw his legs over the side of the bed. “Gojo is back?” his voice was hoarse from lack of use. He crossed the room fluidly and grabbed Nobara into a hug not knowing what Gojo’s arrival would bring. He let out a ragged breath into the crown of her hair, bracing himself for the news. “Do we know-?”
The doorknob began to turn slowly sending the hair on the back of their necks standing. Collectively, they both held their breath as a weathered bag breached the doorway held by a scarred hand. Their eyes followed the arm and melted into disbelief as Yuuji stared back at them.
The pregnant pause seemed to suck the air from the room, no one could believe the sight before them. Yuuji’s expression was one of pain and guilt with a flicker of relief. He lowered his eyes as his arm fell to his side.
“Itadori.” Nobara was the first to break the silence as she threw her arms around his broad shoulders. “You’re-you’re alright!” Tears that had gathered in her good eye began to fall freely.
Yuuji closed his eyes as he wrapped an arm around Nobara, his brows knit together solemnly. He exhaled heavily.
Megumi studied the reunion, taking in the difference several months apart had made on Yuuji’s appearance. He was taller and slightly bulkier though the angles of his face seemed sharper. He’d not said a word but, knowing Yuuji, he wouldn’t speak of the horrors he’d undergone at the behest of the elders. Megumi agonized over the thought before crossing the distance and hugging them both. His comrades in arms, his best friends. Two people who had taken a battering ram to the walls he put up around his heart. In the moment he didn’t have words for either of them, so many times they’d come so close to losing one another. This was surely the most harrowing, the most grueling but here they were, together once more. “I’m glad you’re safe,” Megumi announced roughly.
Yuuji inhaled deeply, so grateful for the warm reception, the last several months weighing on him palpably. He blinked back his tears, grateful his face was not in sight of either of his friends. “Thank you. I’m okay,” he reassured quietly, more for his own peace of mind. “Hey - were you in my bed!?” Yuuji laughed, breaking the embrace and dropping his bag. He reached up and touched his shaggy hair before winking at his friends, “ya miss me or something?”
Nobara threw a limp hand at his chest in jest, “we were worried sick, you dummy.”
Yuuji hazarded a hand to brush tears away from her eye. He studied the scar on her face somberly, remembering the evening in Shibuya that had nearly taken her life. That night, and many nights that followed paled in comparison to recent months under the thumb of the elders.
Nobara turned away from his gaze unexpectedly, her hand still resting on his chest. She could feel his heart beating but still doubted the indefinite stay of execution he’d been granted. That’s what it meant, his return, right? But they’d already lost so much, she found this hope too good to be true.
Yuuji lifted her chin gingerly before beaming, “you’re just glad I’ll be able to point out the best places to eat again. If we relied on your tastes, we’d have never had bullet sushi!”
She jokingly beat away his hand, embarrassed in that moment to be consoled by him. She haughtily threw her head back, rolling her eye. “Whatever, we’re going for soufflé pancakes whether you like it or not,” she sniffed, wiping the last of her tears away. She turned on her heels and made her way to the door begrudgingly. She had plenty more to cry over but felt that Yuuji deserved some space after what he’d just survived.
“Kugisaki.. I missed you too.” Yuji confessed, not turning to watch her leave. Megumi still stood before him, a pensive expression on his face.
Suddenly making up his mind, Megumi ruffled his dark, spiky hair, “Thanks for not jumping out of a box this time.”
“Gojo-sensei definitely tried..” Yuuji admitted with a lopsided grin.
Megumi bristled inadvertently, expecting much the same from his ridiculous guardian. He was at a cross between believing Yuuji whole heartedly and knowing Gojo would take more care given the morale of the students. “You.. okay? With everything that happened?” Megumi grunted.
Yuuji contemplated deflecting with another joke but knew Megumi’s piercing eyes wouldn’t be satisfied with brushing off months of torture and interrogation. “I will be okay. I’m back, aren’t I? Now, more than anything, I know how fragile of a hold the remaining elders have on us. They’ll do anything to maintain that power…” Yuuji absently rubbed his hands together, feeling the ragged edges of scar tissue.
Megumi exhaled months worth of worry and fear, content just to be back in Yuuji’s presence. There was something different about him, a grit or an edge. While he hadn’t completely been robbed of his light, Megumi could see something had been shaken within him. This change recommitted Megumi to the mission of toppling the Jujutsu caste society if it meant protecting Yuuji and others like him.
He nodded silently, an unspoken attestation to this end. He rest a reassuring hand on Yuji’s shoulder, one that lingered as if to transmit some of the fire that had just been lit within him. Yuuji would burn like the sun once more and Megumi? He would show the remaining elders just how much havoc the moon could wreak.

okay, now this may be a weird one... but in mlp, there are seven elements of harmony: generosity, honesty, laughter, kindness, loyalty, & magic (magic is kind of like leadership / synergy). aka, they embody these elements
if you were to assign jjk characters to the elements of harmony, who would you assign to what?
[ex. [blank] is [in your opinion] the most generous, therefore they would be generosity]
[sorry if this one is weird or complex jiugfcghuijoiuygtfd] <333
HI HELLO OKAY i had lots of feelings about this so i'm putting my answers under a readmore bc it uhhhh got long. especially the last one. oops
thank you for the ask beloved and i hope you enjoy my answers <3
generosity: shoko. she just. she has seen so much and she's always the one doing the healing and getting rid of the bodies. without her, the jujutsu world literally could not function and she keeps giving more of herself than what she should to everyone so they can keep on living. she's so tired and she's overworked and rct takes a Lot of cursed energy but she still heals everyone who comes to her. we have not seen one instance where she's run out of cursed energy and can't heal people. she healed almost all the students after the exchange event, and then she still had to deal with the bodies of the sorcerers who had died in the attack. she gives up so much for everyone all the time and she probably rarely even gets thanked for it
honesty: maki. okay so. i'm not actually sure maki is the best fit for this one but i needed to put her on the list bc she's my number one for everything <3 ANYWAY i just think. maki is a very honest person. she tends to be blunt and say things how they are. but she also, over the course of her story has to learn to be honest with herself. she has to learn to be honest about what she wants (leaving home & going to jj high even if that means leaving mai behind) and what she feels (the fact that she doesn't actually hate mai; mai is the person who is at the center of all her motivations). she learns to be unapologetic about who she is - about not having cursed energy, about being a twin and a sister and a daughter, about not behaving in the way her family wants her to. just. yeah. that's all
laughter: haibara. okay i decided this one right away because haibara is just. very symbolic of hope imo. he's always shown as optimistic and smiling, and it's only after his death that everything truly falls apart. haibara had to die for the same reason rue had to die in thg: to show that this world is cruel to kids, and to show that optimism and hope will only meet death until things change. haibara is just. he's the embodiment of laughter. he was excited to stay in okinawa longer and help out with the mission, he was gonna bring back a souvenir for geto, he looks for the best in people,,, ahem anyways yes. haibara laughter i'm correct.
kindness: itadori. i feel like this one is pretty self-explanatory? i mean look at him! he's so friend-shaped! his whole thing is that he wants to save people. he stuck by his grandfather's side even when his grandfather was cranky and angry and rude. he's so very kind despite the circumstances and he just. someone give him a hug; he deserves it
loyalty: megumi. listen. listen. this boy. he doesn't make friends very easily, but when he does decide he likes someone, he is loyal to a fault. we all know this kid is ready and willing to die for itadori. he's basically entered into a one-sided suicide pact with him. he saved yuuji in episode one and he is committed to that decision. but then there's also tsumiki. and i could write an entire analysis on how megumi has essentially tied his life to tsumiki's on multiple occasions (i.e. the iconic "so start by saving me" line, when he was just talking about how it's really tsumiki who needs saving-- anyway) like this kid. if he decides you are worthy of his time, he will both die and kill for you. anyway i could go on but this is long enough already and i'm simply correct <3
magic: gojo. okay so yeah this might be an obvious choice bc "oh he's the strongest sorcerer so obviously he gets magic lolol" but like. you also said it's leadership and gojo has more leadership skills in his pinky finger than all of the higher ups combined. like okay, maybe he messes up sometimes. he's made mistakes. but being a leader is clearly very important to him, and contrary to popular mischaracterization, he actually is good at it. he isn't an awful teacher, and he loves and respects his students. his whole goal is to lead the next generation of sorcerers into the creation of a world where they can be happy. like yeah, he's got magic bc he's literally the strongest but he's on top for a reason. his technique obviously set him up for it, but he learned how to use and master it, and he learned how to bargain with people to get what he wants. he knows exactly how far he can push the higher ups to make them give in. he knows exactly how much he can get. he knew he couldn't save itadori entirely right off the bat, so he bargained for his life. he knew he couldn't just swoop in and steal megumi, so he talked to megumi first and then made a deal with the zen'in clan. he doesn't force his students to blindly follow him - his students argue and disagree with and insult him all the time. but when it comes to things that really matter, it's gojo who they will side with. hakari and kirara got themselves expelled, but they still cared about gojo. the knowledge that gojo got sealed is what convinced them to help. everyone has banded together to unseal gojo because they know he's important, despite the fact that that now gets them a one-way ticket to an execution sentence. gojo is the glue of the jujutsu world - something very evident in the way everything immediately falls apart after he's sealed. okay anyway i'm gonna stop now but yes. these are my feelings
#the magic explanation was NOT supposed to get so long but the words just kept coming#also notable that i debated maki for loyalty. kamo for honesty. and hakari for magic.#don't ask why i'll talk for too long skdhsjf#corey tag#asks#jjk spoilers

⎡can you hear me now?⎦ toji f.
➵ pairing: fushiguro megumi & fushiguro toji (familial) ➵ word count: 1,278 words ➵ genre: fluff/angst ➵ author’s notes: I like writing these two because it's amusingly painful. ➵ warning(s): manga spoilers
I. Three Megumi’s delicate stature sits still on the floor as his emerald green eyes observe the movements of his father’s large, rough hands, beaming with excitement.
Toji was crafting out something for him - he didn’t know if it was a toy but if it was anything from his father, he would be more than glad to receive it.
The man smiles upon noticing this. His son’s eyes shone like how they did when he looks over books that he can’t read yet, or when his puppy snuggles towards him.
A hand hovers over the small child’s erratic hair and ruffles it into a mess more than it already is, watching as his plump cheeks are brushed with the tint of pink from the unexpected display of affection. A small burst of laughter escapes from the man.
“Be good for me, won’t you?”
Strangely enough, Megumi nods, despite not understanding much of what he said.
“That’s my good boy.” Toji whispers under his breath, taking him by the chest, and pulling the child in to a warm embrace. The kid was astonished by the unexpected action, but his small hands soon grasp on to his back, burying his face into the man’s chest.
His father’s sweater had the faint scent of oranges, and a spritz of cologne. The warmth brought him solace.
He wishes he could stay in this moment for a little longer.
II. Four
It was 9:39pm.
Megumi’s eyes flutter open when he hears a knock strike gently on the wooden sliding foor. A small hand comes up to rub on his eyelids, before slipping out of his blankets to check on his father.
He then picks the tin can up, and holds it to his lips, tied by a red string to the other can that was in his Toji’s grasp, going through the wall so his father could speak to him without having to go anywhere.
“Pa…pa?” The man perks up upon hearing the meek sound of his son’s voice. A smile pulls on his lips, proud that he could teach Megumi words that wasn’t vulgar, remembering how he accidentally slipped out a string of cusses around the toddler.
“Heya, Megumi.” He responds, leaning against the wall with a sigh of relief. “I hope you’re doing well even if I’m not home at most times. But, Tsumiki is not that bad to be with, right?”
He could picture his child nod twice in the other side.
“That’s good. I wonder if you can read bedtime stories now. Do you want me to buy you more picture books? Tell me so I can try out asking for a raise. Maybe I could even take you out to a fun fair sometime. There’ll be bunny cotton candy, rides with elephants in it, and owl stuffed toy in the booths.” He goes on and on through the night, listing off what’s on his mind.
Halfway, he comes to think, Megumi might have fallen asleep now. He stops rambling and takes it to himself to stand up from the floor. He heaves a small sigh before settling to leave the balcony.
“Papa…?” The child’s voice peeks out.
Toji’s eyes widen. He reaches for the can once again and holds it against his ear.
“I love you.”
The pronunciation was slightly off, but clear enough for Toji to understand what he wanted to say.
His eyes are almost brimming with hot tears, lips twitching with the familiar ache lingering around his scar. “I love you too.”
He wants to stay, but he can’t.
He has to go.
“Good night, ‘Gumi.”
III. Four (2)
It’s his day off.
Toji sinks into the comfort of the couch as he attempts to nap.
Keyword: attempt.
Perhaps, he was getting too used to the exhaustion in his job that he becomes restless himself when he’s not tired out?
His attention is caught when he could hear the light pitter-patter of Megumi’s feet pace on the floor as he approaches. Curious, he sits up to see his child who jolted in surprise from his sudden movement.
The kid was holding a picture book that he bought him a week ago. He raises an eyebrow, and realizes what Megumi wanted to tell him. His child was rather quiet, as he notices. Even told that he looks like his father whenever he scowls.
“No.”
Megumi averted his gaze away, lips pursing into a small pout.
He eyes the visibly glum expression of his son, a small pang of pain tugging at his chest. Closing his eyes, he heaves a light sigh and gently pulls Megumi into his lap.
The book rests on his hand, and he flips to the first page, starting to read the story softly. “A long long time ago, there lived an old man and an old woman.”
As the tale unravels from Toji’s lips, the boy eventually starts asking questions whenever he pauses, to which the man would patiently answer. They went on and on until afternoon came.
Megumi’s jade green eyes – the same color as his – they were glimmering with joy, even more whenever he looks up.
His chest swells with happiness. He could feel a small smile creep up onto his lips.
The kiddo fell asleep right on his torso, face buried in the material of his sweater. He rans a hand through the erratic tresses of Megumi’s hair, mapping the soft strands lovingly with the rough prints of his digits.
‘I just can’t say no when it comes to you, huh.’
IV. Five
It’s been weeks since Toji last spoke to Megumi through the tin can telephone.
The boy waits until it’s 10pm at night, before he decides to slip back into his futon, only for no one to knock on the window, or a sound to quiver through the string.
Until that night came.
“Megumi.”
A voice rises in the darkness to call out for him. The boy slowly stirs awake, finding himself crawling towards the tin can.
“Mmnn?” He sleepily hums.
“Papa’s going somewhere, okay?”
A slight pause takes over the conversation before the child asks. “Where?”
Toji’s eyes were a striking shade of emerald under the moonlight as he gazes at the night sky, head leaning against the icy surface of the wall. He takes a deep breath and responds, “Somewhere far away.”
“Okay.” Megumi says. “But, we’ll still read bedtime stories together, right? You promised me the other night.”
The man bites the ‘yes’ down his lip, knowing too well that he couldn’t refuse his son’s requests. He readies himself to leave.
“Megumi. Papa has to go now.” He informs.
“But-“ The boy’s cries were futile. No matter how it hurt Toji to leave him like this, there’s no turning back.
“See ya later, ‘Gumi.”
V. Seventeen
Megumi pushes a hand on his wound to apply pressure, a small act of preservation before he blacks out. Beside him lies a tin can telephone that connected to the other wall.
It was utterly annoying. He doesn’t know why but he had the urge to take it.
He slowly picks the small thing up, careful not to injure himself further and props it next to his ear.
Red was blurring his eyesight and he doesn’t resist as the darkness takes over him.
“Hey. What’s your name?”
“Fushiguro.”
“Not Zen’in huh? Good for you.”
The boy wakes up to a dream. He knows that it isn’t real. But.. he could hear someone speak in the other side of the wall.
“Live for me, Megumi.”
The scent of oranges fills his nostrils, and he closes his eyes once again, relishing in the little solace it brought.
Inspired by this art ^
❥ It’s actually funny how the story of Momotaro is a folktale – which means it is a work of fiction. Now I’m starting to headcanon that Megumi has resorted to reading nonfiction because he does not want to be reminded of the bedtime stories that were read to him by Toji or Tsumiki. ❥The titles of each shot is the indication of how old Megumi is in the scene. ❥ Also, planning more of this because why not. =p

bestie i need to know everything abt jjk. like. who’s ur fave. do you have any More ideas. r u excited for the jjk 0 movie. i’m so excited you’ve gotten into it yehehfjehehhdhdjsjs
bestie its totally ur fault and i'm blaming u for all the sleep i didnt get thanks to the manga /j
ok ok ok i think my fave is definitely fushiguro but maki is a close second. as a plot device toji fushiguro takes the damn cake but i would also love to punt him off a cliff.
i definitely have ideas but mostly they r random hcs so i will gladly give them:
- i fully believe megumi fushiguro has no fucking clue when his birthday is. it was neber celebrated when he was little. tsumiki's mom didn't know. tsumiki and megumi were too young to properly understand dates. and gojou just never realized the kid had no clue when his b-day was so they never picked a day. besides, all his school paperwork was faked anyway. he knows his vague age... and that's it.
- megumi definitely killed a guy with his dogs at age 12 and experienced being judge jury and executioner and he's totally blocked out the memory.
- so itadori and kugisake definitely skateboard i take no criticism
- yuuta deserves the world and also he and toge have a running bet on how many times gojou will allow them to steal his wallet.
- megumi gets super clingy when he's tired and he'll never admit it. he starts to feel an emotion and he chugs three Bangs. he feels a little sentimental and he goes to the convenience store to buy the entire stock of Monster.
- kugisake is the only one who can't cook to save her life
and YES yes yes i cannot wait for the movie. movie !! i love movies !! any movie !! but especially this one !!
#[ gently hugs ] thank you for having brain rot with me#we'll be great friends#jjk#jujutsu kaisen#i totally wrote this the moment i got off work shhhh

it’s been a while since i left a message 😳 i just came back to the affection pt. 2 poll results and idk why gojo winning is making me laugh like i love that dude but toji..... toji has smthn else over gojo i’m sorry everyone.
anyways while i was gone i was thinking more abt how rip!mc really loves the kids like even the kyoto kids and it’s making me !!! she would literally die for them and choose them over gojo (much to his dismay lol) also while i was in uni hell for the past few days i kept thinking of the most angsty stuff for gojo and one of them included an au where mc would forget him every time and he would be the only one to remember 😳 i just like making him suffer tbh
i also thought of a what if au of the rip!verse where gojo and rip!mc are all settled down and they have kids of their own (gojo’s dream come true). tokyo kids have to watch them and tsumiki is there and definitely awake. the gojo kids are a menace bc they’re literal copies of the manchild ...
i’m a mess after the new chapter so i’ve been thinking of all these ideas after that and creating my own world. yuta is still my son and i think he’ll be yuji’s brother soon too HAHAHAH - 💫
HI 💫 ANON!!!! I HOPE UNI’S BEEN GOOD TO YOU!!
i rlly thought toji was going to win LMAO smh
the angst....
maybe it’s the result of someone’s cursed technique, but all of sudden you’re lagging behind him and he’s about to ask you what’s up when you speak up with an “um,” that gives him pause, because you sound unsure, scared. he turns and you’re looking at him, eyebrows drawn, and then you ask him who he is and his heart plummets and it feels like the wind’s been knocked out of him, because you mean it, because you’re staring at him with an expression he’s never seen on your face before. you’re apprehensive, guarded, and you might even be scared of him.
anyway every time gojo tries to jolt your memory to get you to remember him, you get intense, painful headaches and nausea to the point where even shoko is scolding him, a hard edge to her voice, because you passed out when he pressed you too hard on what happened during your high school years. and he’s biting back an angry retort, hot and heavy on his tongue, because you remember her, remember everyone but him (although your memories of everyone else is hazy at best, but at least they have something to work off of, unlike him) there’s big gaping holes in your memories which include the memories the two of you shared together, forever lost.
he’s desperate and impatient to find a cure or solution (but the curse user is dead and back then there hadn’t been a second thought before he flexed his fingers but now he regrets it) he doesn’t think he can take the way you tense, eyes following him cautiously, every time he enters the room as if remembering the destruction at the tip of his fingers that had characterized your “first meeting”. most people would be awed, but you’ve always been too shrewd for your own good. you’re unfazed by his surface level easy grins and reassurances. you’re wary of him, of what he can do. when he touches you for the first time since you forgot him, his hand on your wrist, you stiffen, head snapping to his hand, eyes wide. it makes him sick to his stomach.
okay onto the much needed fluff.
you ask megumi to babysit and when you open the door to the house you see that that the first years, second years, and tsumiki have gathered!! megumi only sighs and says he was forced to bring them along. and yuji’s so excited!!! to meet your children!! (he’s great with them 😭😭)
of course your daughter squirms out of gojo’s arms the moment she sees megumi, and gojo is forced to let her go into megumi’s reluctant arms with a displeased frown while you laugh. he tells everyone that she’s a daddy’s girl but you know it’s the other way around. your son on the other hand is more shy, especially surrounded by more people, his hand clutching your skirt as he hides behind you. yuji and nobara and inumaki try to coax him out, but he’s glued to your leg. meanwhile gojo is trying to coax your daughter back into his arms with promises of all the toys and snacks she could ever want, but she furiously shakes her head and buries her face in megumi’s neck while he sweats. maki is grinning at gojo's distress, and behind her panda and yuuta are taking in the scene.
you’re talking to tsumiki, one hand on your son’s head, that she should be studying for her exams!! but she just laughs and says that she couldn’t pass up seeing her cute niece and nephew. after that you finally tell your son, awed by the panda in your living room that you’ll be back. you and gojo press kisses onto both of them, but gojo is whining on the way out that your daughter didn’t even give him a second glance while you roll your eyes.
#just wait until they get comfortable....THEN they become menaces#ok....im kinda soft now....#I RAMBLED HERE BUT YOUR IDEAS ARE ALWAYS SO GOD TIER LMAO I LOVE THEM#DOMESTIC FAMILY FLUFF PLEASEE#💫 anon#.bba#m.jjk#memory loss au

come home
Hey guys! Continuing my lil ficlet series of the JJK men. This time we have our sweet winter prince, Fushiguro Megumi/Come Home by Sean Bolton. [part 1 here!]
pairing: Fushiguro Megumi x f!reader
genre: fluff, some angst/sad themes
warnings: none
wc: 1.4k
all underage characters are aged up to 18+ (just in case)
Damn it.
Damn it!
She just had to come along. Gojo had tasked Fushiguro with taking out his first grade 1 curse, alone. Though when she chimed in and offered to accompany him, Gojo eventually relented. His students are precious to him, after all. It didn’t help that she plead to him with the most adorable puppy-dog eyes. “These damn kids,” he thought, sighing deeply before giving her the ok to tag along with Megumi. She raised her fist with excitement—this was her first experience with a grade 1 curse. Gojo placed a hand on Fushiguro’s shoulder and leaned in close to his ear.
“Keep an eye on her, yeah?” he whispers. “She’s strong, but she’s also reckless. Reminds me a lot of a certain sakura-haired boy.”
“I will. Although you wouldn’t have to worry about it if you just said no to her.” Megumi bites, giving Gojo a side-eyed glare.
“Oh, I’m not worried at all!” Gojo exclaims, clapping his hands together. “You’re my most talented student. Think of it as both a learning and a teaching opportunity!”
“Isn’t that your job…” Fushiguro thinks, letting out an exasperated sigh.
Which lead to her current state: beaten and unconscious in the recovery wing of Jujutsu Tech.
She had indeed been reckless. Eagerly jumping into the fight without taking a moment to analyze the curse’s technique thoroughly. She vastly underestimated its strength and speed, taking multiple hits from the curse within seconds. So fast that she didn’t even have time to gather her cursed energy to shield herself. Nue barely made it in time to snatch her up before the curse landed a fatal blow.
It wasn’t long after Nue flew her to safety that Demon Dog Black and Orochi tore the curse to pieces. Megumi personally dealt the final strike to the curse’s head with his bare hands.
Fushiguro wouldn’t leave her side, not even as Shoko healed her.
“Fushiguro, you’re pretty beaten up yourse—” Shoko began, but Megumi interrupted her.
“I’m fine. Focus on her.” He clipped, staring blankly at her mangled body.
Shoko made quick work of healing her. She had a few broken bones, but nothing that Ieri’s reverse curse technique couldn’t fix. She imbued the last of her cursed energy into sealing the various lacerations and bruises that littered her skin. Shoko was meticulous, closing the wounds with such precision that there wouldn’t be a single scar on her body. It took more energy than usual, causing her to stumble backwards a step before catching herself. The throbbing pain in her head and dizziness was nothing compared to the guilt Fushiguro would feel every time he saw her damaged skin.
Shoko wipes her brow and lays a hand on the top of Megumi’s head, ruffling his inky locs.
“She’ll be just fine. You can go back to the dorms now. It will likely be a good 12 hours before she regains consciousness.” She states.
“I won’t leave her.” He mutters.
“Figured as much,” she thinks. She recalls how he stayed by Itadori’s side long after he had died. He had to quite literally be pried away from him by Gojo. Shoko’s heart clenched, reminiscing on the times Gojo would come back from a mission beaten to a pulp, long before he was the untouchable man he is today. Geto would stay with him until he woke, only to tear him a new one for being so irresponsible and stupid as soon as he opened his eyes. Gojo would do the same for Geto, though. How dangerous it is to have something so precious to you.
Shoko retrieves a blanket from the nearby warmer and drapes it over Fushiguro’s shoulders.
“At least try to get some sleep, little raven.” she says with a soft smile, giving his head a final pat for good measure. Normally, Fushiguro would have been irritated by her pet names and doting, but this time he was thankful for it.
“Thank you, Shoko.” he whispers as she leaves the room.
Hesitantly, he reaches out for her hand. Her fingers twitch slightly, causing him to recoil as if he was burned. He vaguely becomes aware of the heavy static in the air—something he knows all too well.
“How long have you been there, Gojo-sensei?” he says, not bothering to glance at the space in the corner of the room where Gojo stood in.
“Yare yare,” Gojo sighs, throwing his hands in the air. “Even though I’m masking most of my cursed energy, you could still sense me. As expected from the blessed Zen’in child, I suppose.”
Megumi shoots him an icy glare before returning his gaze to her.
Gojo shifts his weight from one foot to the other, and there’s a palpable change in the atmosphere. His usual playful and casual aura is replaced to that of deadly seriousness. To call it unsettling would be an understatement.
“Megumi,” he starts, making it to Fushiguro’s side in just a few strides. He places his left hand on the sliding door, the other on Megumi’s shoulder.
“What happened isn’t your fault.” Gojo states, still facing towards the exit. He slides the door open, taking a step forward before pausing.
“It’s mine. I’m sorry, Fushiguro.”
With that, he’s gone, the slider closing behind him without so much as a sound.
For some time, Megumi sits in silence, watching the rise and fall of her chest. A sickening feeling washes over him, reminding him of the times he’s sat for hours in his sister’s room, waiting for her to wake up.
But she never does.
The thought has him reaching for her hand again. He knows she will wake, but he can’t help the irrational part of his mind from thinking that maybe she won’t. Megumi squeezes her hand gently, in awe of the smoothness of her skin. But she’s cold—too cold. Without a thought, he shakes off the blanket Shoko gave him. He drapes it over her, pulling the soft fabric up under her chin. She looked so incredibly peaceful, as if she was in no pain at all. Carefully, he brushes a few stray hairs from her face before returning to her side, hands clasped around hers.
He’s not sure when he started singing softly to her, but he stops when he realizes. Force of habit, he figures. When he visits Tsumiki, he occasionally sings or reads to her. He doesn’t know why, perhaps somewhere deep down he hopes he’ll get some sort of response from her. Something, anything to let him know that she’s still there with him.
But she never does.
Lost in his own anguished thoughts, he almost doesn’t notice how she stirs fitfully the moment he stopped his song. His hands tighten around hers, and he chuckles lightly to himself. When did I become so pathetic?
Several seconds pass. Faintly, he begins to sing again.
“The space where you should be,
Occupied by cold feet
A vacant pillow and empty sheets
Sometimes I need you to hold me”
Her face relaxes into that of a restful slumber at the sound of his deep voice. Megumi smiles softly, his own eyelids feeling heavy.
“You get ready for bed,
I can’t promise I won’t peek
It feels like I’ve been moving in and out of a dream
I stay up all night and watch you while you sleep
I’m so inspired, you don’t even have to speak”
He blinks sluggishly, eyes never leaving her face.
“You wake up and I’m on the floor
Staring at the light underneath the door
You say I love you, but I love you more
I’ve never craved anyone like this before”
He places her hand on his cheek and leans into the warmth of her palm.
“I can’t wait for you to come home,
Come home”
Unable to resist any longer, he allows his eyes to shut. His voice ebbs, the volume of his words lowering to that of a honeyed whisper.
“I can’t wait for you
To come
Home”
Her scent overflows his senses, and he lets himself drown.
“Come…home…”
[bonus]
-the next day, late morning-
“Megu-mi!” Gojo chimes, sliding open the door without so much as a knock. “Didn’t Shoko tell you to go back to the d—”
He’s stopped by the sight in front of him.
Rays of crisp sunlight slip in between the blinds, just enough to illuminate the two. Megumi’s head still rests in her palm, one of his hands loosely gripping her wrist. His other hand is tangled in her hair that’s splayed out on the pillow. They’re both still asleep, and Gojo isn’t sure he’s ever seen Fushiguro so content in his whole life. He chuckles, pulling out his phone and snapping a picture of the pair. He’d tease Megumi about it later.
Gojo takes one last glance at them before leaving the room and shakes his head.
“These damn kids.”
