Okay, I can finally give some feedback on the Joystick for Anon! I could include product photos, but you'd get better images looking at their product listing on the website.
I got their new version with the sliding skin and, honestly, that has made all the difference in realism for me personally. A typical packer is fine and definitely helps the mental battle, but it's so much nicer to have that touch and feel more connected.
It's so well-made. The head has a reservoir to insert a syringe into and fill with either common (silicone safe!) lube or a lubrication that looks more like what the human body makes and holds a surprising amount. It definitely takes practice knowing how to release the lubricant without making it appear like you're snapping your appendage in two, but once you get a feel for where your fingers should be, it becomes really easy. Just takes practice. It's a bit of a pain to clean, and if you inadvertently flatten the head when washing out the reservoir, don't panic â just insert the tip of the syringe and send some air into it. You may not even need to push the syringe for it to take back its former shape, but you can if needed. Just make sure you get out as much residue as you can (it's impossible to see inside to really confirm, but just do your best. I take about 10 minutes with mine just to be safe).
The shaft is sturdy and firm and doesn't collapse in on itself even without the vibrator inserted. I've honestly used it more without the vibrator and a pair of packing boxers, but the o-rings are finicky for it. I understand why they tell you to either pull it out over the top or out the front of a normal pair of boxers â it can move through an O-ring, but it takes some effort and by the time you're done, it's covered in fabric fibers and (if you're our family) cat fur. I finally modified a pair and added in my own elastic to hold it in place, and it works well. Just fighting against the O-ring. I'll have to try again over the top of the waist band and see how that looks/functions. I'm genuinely unsure. I do know it does feel weird, personally, not having any sort of ballsack on the prosthesis. I think it would help add to realism just to have that weight there. I also think it would hold in place better having that kind of weight. As it is, using the prosthesis without that means it slides quite a bit away from your body. It's very rare for the vibrator to actually rest against where it's supposed to if it moves even a little during use. Maybe that's just due to being a plus size person, but it shouldn't be overlooked.
I ordered as soon as the new Joystick versions were released, so I'm sure I got one of the "least best" of their quality products. Mine has a few dark lines here and there on the side or underside, but they're small and aren't noticeable once I'm wearing it. I haven't had my partner interact with me while it's on, so I can't say whether others would notice it or not.
It comes with one unlubricated condom to use to protect the prosthesis from the vibrator. Silicone interacts weird with other silicone, so you slide the vibe into an unlubricated condom before inserting it into the prosthesis. You will actually slide the full length into it, by the way, and it slides rather easy. If you feel inside the top of the prosthesis, you'll feel a little divot where the button for the vibe will go and prevent it from being constantly held down. You can reach down and push it easily while still being subtle. I haven't turned it on inside the prosthesis yet, but I gotta say that thing is NOT subtle in the noise or arm shaking vibrations it makes. My partner and I got a good laugh about it, but I'm unsure if I actually want to use it for its intended purpose, or just to hold The Joystick in place. I did buy the ring to control it, but it's also silicone and comes in a bag to keep it separated from the other pieces.
I do need to complain about the way this thing is packaged when it ships â it's going to come in two little string tie bags. One for the prosthesis and syringe, the other for the vibe, condom, and ring (if you order that). Given that I spent 300$ for this, I expected it to be in a box, but no. It came in a flimsy gray plastic bag via USPS. It got here safe, but I do wonder if some of those dark marks are from shipping rather than production. Meanwhile, I spend 35$ at Axolom, and it ALWAYS comes in a sleek protective black box. I know my products are safe even if it's just a pair of boxers. For the amount you're paying Transthetics, I feel like they should do the same.
I do like this prosthetic. I have my eye watching for the eventual release of The Bionic that I am INCREDIBLY interested in. I'm crossing my fingers that they keep the sliding skin they've given to The Joystick.
Overall, I'm happy that I got it. I can't fathom trying to actually pack with it and go outside for everyone to ogle me (cuz 100% you would be the gray sweatpants wet dream in this thing publicly). But for at home personal/private/partner use, I'm a big fan.
I maybe shouldn't have thrown 300$ right now at this, but I'm glad I did. If you can't afford it, I think there's no harm in waiting a little bit. Even if only to make sure that dark line issue I mentioned gets resolved. Or to maybe pester them into better packaging.
I hope this helps and if you, or anyone else, has other questions on it, I'm fine with giving any info I have!
does anyone have any experience using the joystick from transthetics ?
Can any of our followers offer their experience?

be as youâve always been
Alternate Title: everyoneâs nb bitch, letâs get you some gender affirming underwear
----
This is based on a request by the lovely @minky-for-short and some truly beautiful art of Caduceus which you can see and bask in here. Huge thanks to @tendermosses for letting me base a ficlet on their work and for always doing such amazing art for fjord and caduceus!Â
----
Please consider leaving a comment on Ao3 or reblogging to let me know what you think!
----
Caduceus had known, since moving out of the grove and into the city, that his life went at a very different pace to most peopleâs. He didnât know if it was because he was a firbolg, because he talked more to trees with lifespans of centuries than to people or because of brain chemistry reasons. But why's had never particularly concerned Caduceus, he tried to take people as they were, as long as they did the same for him.
And these people made decisions almost without thinking, they moved from one task to the next without pause, one word could send them careening onto a completely new train of thought while Caduceus was stuck on one three stations back.
And some did it so quickly, so without any kind of traceable logic, that all Caduceus could do was cling on as tight as he could and follow along in complete ignorance to see where he ended up.
But then he spoke to some of his friends and realised, to his mild relief, that no. That was just what Mollymauk and Jester were like.
He also realised that sometimes it led to very good things.
Molly and Jester were two of his closest friends and two of his most regular customers, given that the theatre where Mollymauk worked was just down the block and that Jester had an addiction to sweet things. They were usually there, talking together or with their partners, and Caduceus had grown to love the sound of their voices mixing pleasantly with the noise of the cafe.
That evening, a half hour shy of closing, they had both been sitting on the tall chairs against the counter, Jesterâs short legs swinging happily halfway up, Mollyâs lanky ones folded underneath him but they would have touched the floor if heâd let them. The discussion had turned to sewing, how best to work with the sequined and beaded fabric Molly needed to wrestle for the theatreâs next show without breaking his sewing machine.
Caduceus had been scoring tomorrowâs loaves with the elaborate leaf and vine patterns he liked to do, bringing his work out onto the counter because there were no other customers in and so he could listen to his friendâs chatter. Jester had been recounting a memorable night with some sequinned lingerie sheâd bought the other week, how so many had come loose and turned up in places they werenât meant to be that sheâd had to buy new sheets, Molly cackling and snorting at all the appropriate places. Or, rather, inappropriate places.
Caduceus had murmured, not particularly minding whether they heard him or not, that lingerie mystified him a little but heâd always wanted to give it a try.
The immediate silence told him his friends had definitely heard. And the look they gave each other, barely concealed glee and eagerness, told him they intended to do something about it.
Which brought Cad to where he was now, legs folded almost up to his chest, in the cramped passenger seat of Mollymaukâs car. Caduceus didnât know a lot about cars but it didnât take much to see that Mollyâs had gone beyond being on its last legs and was now running on pure willpower and prayers to the Moonweaver. It felt like the bass of the music pouring out of the speakers was going to be enough to shake it apart and Jester piped up from the back seat that the door handle had come off.
âThereâs duct tape under the seat, babe,â Molly called back, unconcerned, learning forward to turn down the volume when he saw how Cad was wincing but being too awkward to say anything.
âYou really donât need to do this,â Cad insisted gently, âYouâve both been working all day, itâs getting late...â
âSo have you,â Jester pointed out, voice a little indistinct through the strip of tape she was holding in her teeth, âAnd we donât mind, itâll be fun! We can help you pick out something nice! Anyhow, Beau and Yasha are at the gym until eight, Fjord too.â
âAnd Caleb has the kids,â Molly hummed, spinning the wheel lazily, far further than he should really have to just to take an easy corner, âThis is a bonding exercise, Deucey. You need back up on something like this. You need your GNC club.â
âGNC?â Caduceus tilted his head.
âGender non conforming,â Molly supplied, âYou know, people who get it. Genderâs dead but friendship is not.â
âYour NB buddies!â Jester grinned, her head pushing in between the two of them, duct tape stuck to her horns, catching her homemade earrings with the plastic gummy bears, âWait...your NBuddies!â
Caduceus considered that, his ears flapping a little as he took the tape off for Jester. He liked the idea of being part of a club. Even more, he liked the idea of being understood. Heâd been worried about that when heâd first moved, breaking away from the grove where things were fluid and constantly changing as nature itself and entering a place where there might be rules and expectations in place that made sense to everyone but him. Where he would have to explain himself and define himself with terms that werenât his own.
But here he was, feeling safe in a very unsafe vehicle, with friends to gladly cheer him on as he threw open the windows of the self heâd made a home in and tried new things.
Caduceus folded the piece of tape over and over in his long fingers and smiled.
âSo what is it that mystifies you, exactly?â Mollymauk twitched some scandalous lace as they moved deeper into the boutique. Apparently this is where he and Jester had been coming for ages, enough that the drow behind the counter had known their names and greeted them with high fives.
âI guess...the concept?â Caduceus held his tail so it wouldnât knock anything over, some of the displays were elaborate and delicate looking and full of things that would probably vibrate loudly if they hit the floor and that would be embarrassing, âI thought the idea of sex was to wear nothing rather than something. Where in the whole...process does this stuff come in?â
Molly nodded, managing to listen intently while dragging Jester by the tail so she wouldnât dive headfirst into the costumes part of the shop, âAnywhere really. They make stuff you can still fuck in, if efficiency is what youâre worried about. But I think the function of this kind of outfit is to make you feel pretty, yâknow? Get you in the right headspace, get you feeling yourself, yeah? It doesnât always need to be about sex.â
âSometimes I just wear pretty lingerie under my clothes cos it puts me in a good mood!â Jester bounced on the balls of her feet, ducking behind racks to sneak sips of the milkshake sheâd smuggled past the cashier, âHelps me feel more like me.â
âOh,â Cad said softly, tilting his head to consider the silk and satin and lace around them in a different way, âThat sounds nice, actually.â
âWhich is why itâs important to choose things you really like,â Molly nodded encouragingly, taking a sip of Jesterâs shake and dodging the punch she aimed at his shoulder, âItâs a treat for yourself, this kind of stuff. And, when it inevitably shortens Fjordâs shorts by a good few inches because youâre going to look utterly stunning, thatâs a bonus.â
Caduceus turned pink under his fur, a smile playing on his lips, âYou think heâd like me wearing this kind of thing?â
âIf you love yourself in it, Caddy, he will,â Jester beamed confidently.
âSo...whatâs catching your eye?â Molly prompted, seeing the excitement in his bright purple eyes, âTheyâve got a good size range here, gaps for tails. Anything you like, theyâll have it to fit you.â
Caduceus looked around, ears lifting and whiskers twitching with interest. Anything he liked. No need to wonder if they would have things made to fit his tall, awkward body, no need to feel the pinching anxiety heâd grown too familiar with in clothing shops. A place where he could fit. And the only purpose was to make him feel beautiful.
âI like...green. And I like flowers.â
Molly and Jester shared that look again, the look of remembering when theyâd had that moment of realisation too, when theyâd discovered the world had space for them as they were. A look of delight at seeing it happen for their friend too and knowing theyâd had a hand in it.
âLetâs get to work then,â Molly grinned.
Caduceus still had a little more time before Fjord came back from the gym. Theyâd checked and double checked the sizes on everything but Mollymauk still advised trying them on to make sure he was happy with them. And honestly, Cadâs excitement meant he didnât want to wait.
So he stood in front of the full length mirror, after clearing away the clothes that were draped over it, with his hair gathered up in a thick bun at the nape of his neck, wearing little beyond the dull gold light of the sunset coming in through the windows. Heâd bought three sets at the store and a few bits of jewellery to go through his piercings, actually a rather modest haul compared to what Molly and Jester bought for themselves but he was just starting out, after all.
There was one in green silk with garters and lace panels. There was a bodysuit made of mostly straps in a mossy blue colour that reminded him of water and looked pretty against his fur. But he quickly decided his favourite. The main material was sheer, meant to look like it wasnât there at all, so the effect was that heâd laid a number of beautiful, intricately embroidered flowers across his body, teasingly concealing the barest amount.
That one he couldnât quite bear to take off, even after he saw it fit him perfectly. Caduceus kept turning this way and that, grinning widely, seeing how it looked from different angles, touching the fabric, feeling how the stitches rose and fell under his fingertips. He looked like a dryad, wearing only sunlight and flowers, glowing from the inside out with an ethereal, untouchable kind of beauty.
And he liked it. He liked it a lot.
Caduceus had always felt mostly at home with how he expressed himself. Heâd had eighty years to decide who he was and to know it was okay, that the Wildmother would always accept him and some individuals would not and that was outside of his control. Dysphoria was a word heâd learned the meaning of only after heâd moved to the city.
But this was the first time heâd been able to understand why Fjord looked at him the way he did, why he wanted him. Those dark nights when heâd lain awake with his head on his boyfriendâs chest and listened to the heart that was promised to him and wondered why, of all the people in the world, Fjordâs body stirred for him, those nights felt far away right now. Because he could see it for himself now. There was a connection in his mind, clear as day, that had been dark before.
He was beautiful. He was desirable. And this was good to know.
Caduceus mustnât have heard the front door open, more in his head and in the mirror than in their bedroom. He mustnât have heard Fjord throwing his bag down in the hall, his heavy footfalls across the old, creaking wood.
All Cad heard was the bedroom door starting to swing and his boyfriendâs call of, âIâm home, love, just going to showe-oh.â
Cad turned quickly, the magic broken, suddenly only able to think about the fact that he was wearing ridiculous lingerie with absolutely no warning, no rose petals or candles or glasses of champagne to try and pretend this was a deliberate surprise, âFjord! Sorry, I...I was justâŚâ
He faltered for words but couldnât find any. Though it seemed Fjord was having the same difficulty. He was in his gym clothes, shirt still sticking to his chest and hair pushed back from his damp forehead with a simple band. And his jaw was on the floor. And his eyes...
âUm...Molly and Jester took me shopping today?â Cad explained, feeling heat rise to the surface of his skin for a different reason, âI thought Iâd try something new.â
Fjord swallowed hard, his eyes wide and darting, unable to decide which part of Caduceus they wanted to stare at most, âYeah? You...you look...I mean, god, CadâŚâ
Cadâs smile was back, flickering into life, âI look pretty, donât I?â
Fjord gave a soft laugh, his eyes practically flooding over, âPretty? Cad, there arenât even words, love.â
Caduceusâ ears flapped and his tail curled in the air. He liked that. He liked the idea of things that could be said without words.
âCan I?â Fjord stepped forward, muscles coiled and ready, body telegraphing his need as clearly as a hunting animal.
âOh please,â Cad breathed, âFjord, please.â
It was well and truly night by the time they were done and Caduceus was pleased to learn he could feel just as beautiful once the lingerie had been eagerly pulled away. It was like a light had been switched on somewhere inside him and on it would stay.
He slept contentedly, easily, head resting on Fjordâs chest. His braid was undone, hair settling over his shoulders in waves made wild by his boyfriendâs fingers passing through it again and again. His lips were swollen pleasantly and flushed, his body would be full of well earned aches in the morning.
He was the most beautiful thing Fjord had ever seen.
He was ready for sleep himself, more than ready, but before he settled down to let himself drift away in his boyfriendâs arms, the only way he could ever really sleep completely peacefully, he had something to do. He pulled his phone out, fortunately within reach because his shorts had ended up hanging off the bedside lamp. Just a quick text, sent to two of his friends- Little Blue and Peacock according to his contact list.
thank you. seriously guys THANK. YOU.
And if Molly and Jester hadnât been busy with their own partners, their own purchases, their own bliss, they would have seen it and grinned that grin again.
But there would be time in the morning.

Pearl had always thought that Parvatiâs eyes were beautiful, but never more so than now as they gleamed with the countless twinkling lights reflecting from the snow.
âOh my stars,â the mechanic breathed, âa real life Founding Day market, just like what we used to have back home! Can we go, Captain?â
It was certainly a sight to behold. Stalls lit with candles and lanterns and string lights, piles of trinkets, hot steam rising with the smell of roast meat and burned sugar. A cheerful print of white snowflakes and mammoths on a bright blue background was everywhere to be seen on blankets and sweaters. It seemed strangely familiar to Pearl, although sheâd never experienced anything like it. A memory of a memory.
The rest of the crew were similarly enthused. Only the Vicar held back, staring down his nose at the assembled crowds.
âI was always firmly against this frivolity, back in Edgewater. Founding Day ought to be a solemn affair.â
âWhatâs your problem, Max? Mad cause no one ever gives you any gifts?â Felix sneered.
âFounding Day is not about gifts. Or candied mockapples, or The Sprat That Lead Them To Water or any of this nonsense. The first Founding Day market took place when the colonists needed to earn bits in order to buy their rations. It was a means of ensuring that only those who were destined to survive the landing did so. An expression of the Plan, as all things should be.â
Max turned and walked haughtily towards the sign that marked the edge of the marketplace. Hands firmly in his pockets, the tips of his ears were red with cold. His hair swept elegantly back, drawing the eye towards the nape of his neck, pale and vulnerable.
It was irresistible. Pearl threw a snowball, and that was all it took.
Max yelped as the icy powder slid down his collar. Felix gave a cry of delight. He launched another snowball in his direction, but his eagerness he missed Max completely and hit Pearl instead.
âSorry, Boss,â he gasped wide-eyed. Pearl laughed and threw one back at him. Nyoka joined the attack on Max, while Ellie increased the chaos by throwing snowballs randomly into the fray. Parvati stood by, excitement and anxiety mingling on her face.
Max had clearly not made snowballs for a while, but he still had the hand and the eye of a tossball player, and his missiles hit their mark. He drove the others back, and retreated toward the Unreliable. With their primary target gone, the crew paused for breath. Pearl felt her cheeks glowing with cold and the smile on her face.
After a quick diversion to the market, she made her way back to the ship. Max was leaning on his desk, his skin flushed from a hot shower. He was towelling his hair, and he was wearingâŚ
Pearl shrieked with laughter.
âWhat the hell is that?â
Max scowled at her.
âEdgewater has a temperate climate, and the Mission can get very cold and drafty,â he said primly, and fastened the last buttons on his full length union suit. The fabric stretched across his broad shoulders and clung to his buttocks and thighs, but it was also bright red and cosy and flannel.
âYou look fucking adorable. How come Iâve never seen you in that before?â
âI donât tend to wear it when Iâm anticipating company.â
âHave you ever been wearing it under your clothes without me knowing?â
Maxâs lips quirked. âIâm afraid that will have to remain a mystery.â
âFine. Oh, I got you theseâŚâ
She handed him the fur lined gloves sheâd picked out.
âThank you, Captain. But I assure you, my problem with the market is not my own lack of gifts, despite what Mr Millstone might imply. Founding Day celebrates the survival of the fittest. It goes against the very meaning of it to use it to boost Glacial Ageâs flagging profits.â
âTheyâre flagging?â
âWater is more readily available throughout the system than it used to be. And multiple other corporations produce alcoholic beverages. Ms Malin is not the first to notice a problem with availability. I suspect they are simply going out of business.â
âThat doesnât explain the distress call⌠come back to the market with me. Youâll be warmer now. And besides, if Glacial Age are going out of business then we should enjoy the whiskey while we can.â
âConsider me persuaded.â Max dressed quickly. He pulled his new gloves on, held his hands up to admire them, and smiled.
When he reached the door, his smile grew anxious, and he turned back to face her.
âPlease donât tell the rest of the crew about my underwear.â

Whatever Your Heart Desire
Harald+Fake Prophet! Reader (Vikings Era)
The Ambitious King
Prologue
(A/N): Hello there, lovelies!
As I have promised, this is the entire part of the brief teaser I had pubblished!
I am low key... very very nervous about it, because let me tell you... I am worried when I write fics for new characters, even more because of the content and âlengthâ of it, so I really REALLY hope I did my best.
As always: feedback makes our heart beast faster and our hands writer faster, it also makes us better and more experienced, so be sure to leave a comment or a reblog with something writte.
And if you want to be extra and help us writers in our free adventure, you mgiht buy us a symbolic coffee over HERE!
SUMMARY:Â After Harald's first visit, he has kept on coming to your hut, but he isn't the only one, as one day you found a familiar face in your hut, searching for Harald's gold, setting an entire plan in motion.
And you are only left to accept Harald's proposal.
WORDS: 12 K
WARNINGS: Dark Themes, Attemped and Mention of Rape, Graphic Description of A Poisoning Attempt, Harald Being A Cranky Old Man, HIstorically Inaccurate and Not Following the Seriesâ Timeline (although it is set after Halfdanâs and Astridâs deaths!).
You didnât worry as you saw a horse being left in front of your house.
Harald had come to visit you every Thursday since your first âprophecyâ to him, to gain the knowledge of his future and to know the mistakes of his past.
And today was indeed Thursday.
No matter how much you didnât trust fully the king, his money was very much welcome in your home, no matter the fact that you were walking over a thin line, constantly risking to be discovered for the fake prophet you were.
You hadnât pleasant words for him, because if you did, you wouldnât have been able to properly make him believe that you were truly foreseeing his future.
Because you knew men like Harald: their future wouldnât have ever been as successful as they wished it to be.
So, the first thing that you had told Harald when he had come to you again, after your first session, was that he had to focus on himself and not on his external âenemiesâ, which had made the blame away from him.
âYou might want the world, but you canât have it without feeling well with yourself firstâ you had explained, as you pushed him down onto the chair he was raising himself up.
And he had looked at you as if you had revealed some hidden truth.
He had  handed you a hefty amount of cash, after that, and the following day he had proclaimed that heâd be staying in Vestfold, after his return from the  war, instead of trying to take again Kattegat.
And although you could hear the familiar dissent through his earls, you knew that his people were happy to have the king back for a bit.
Even simply because they had to pay less the war taxes.
You knew that war had taken quite the toll on the people of Vestfold and you, on your own, had tried to help a few of the poorer with donations, although you had to admit that selling medical herbs and your own medical knowledge didnât exactly permit you a luxurious life.
Haraldâs money were indeed quite useful.
But although you were well aware that being Haraldâs little âseerâ was quite fruitful, you knew that you couldnât exactly last for much more than a season, even more when Harald wouldnât see immediately the fruits of your suggestions.
He was an ambitious and impetuous man.
He wouldnât wait to see what he had sowed.
Heâd prefer to burn up the entire camp.
Hence, you had been trying to spare some coins to move away at the first signs of Haraldâs disbelief in your methods.
Powerful men were downright dangerous.
Even more when they had a personal vendetta against women.
Your mother had known that all too well.
But till now, Harald had been nothing more than a lapdog, more than willing to endure your tongue-lashings in hope that they might win him new kingdoms and riches.
Poor fool.
He had already enough of that, alongside glory and fame.
And yet he searched for more.
He didnât know that the Gods always frowned upon those who reached further than They allowed.
And eventually theyâd strike them down for that.
You didnât need to be a seer to see that Haraldâs fatal flaw would have been his end.
And no matter what sweet words you spoke in his ear, destiny wouldnât change.
Nobody could escape theirs.
You felt your head full with those thoughts, still, and pushed them away as you went to caress Haraldâs horse, a soft white mare that immediately softened under your touch, as you questioned what had made Harald choose such a less threatening company, since he usually would come to you with his black stallion.
But you didnât think too much of the horse, simply collecting store information in your mind.
What would you tell Harald, today?
That he shouldnât underestimate the power of guilt he felt for having killed his brother?
That he had to finally confront the fact that he had reached the purpose he had set for himself, but it was still not enough for those around him?
Or that he fucking should stop pushing the blame on anyone but himself?
But you halted immediately as you moved to the threshold of the door, smelling a softer perfume than the one Harald wore naturally on his skin, something that brought you back to a shop you had visited earlier on your week.
The seamstressâ store.
Hence you werenât surprised to find Jorun, the seamstressâ only son, who helped her out in the shop, inside your hut.
He was bit younger than you, but quite built and you couldnât hide your uneasiness as you found him in your house, because one thing was to let Harald in, a dangerous man, but with an honorable conscienceâŚ
⌠and another was to let a boy like Jorun in.
An uncomfortable shiver run through your spine, as you tried to keep your breath even, comforting yourself and slapping a soft smile on your face.
You werenât unused to finding guest in your house, but they certainly didnât look as if they had been caught red-handed as Jorun was, looking through your herbsâ jars, a few crushed at his feet.
And you were quickly able to understand why Jorun was there.
You had spent quite the sum of money at the seamstress, a few days ago, the only vanity you had allowed with Haraldâs money, ordering a few furs in case you were forced to run in the further North, and a dress, a pretty dress because you had fallen in love with the fabric, and asked Vidgis, the seamstress, to realize a dress for you with it.
Jorun had, probably, overheard your conversation and had formed this strange idea that you had gained quite a big sack of money for your services to the crown, and he had thought about stealing from you.
He knew where you lived.
He knew that you hadnât the security measures many kept inside of the city, thinking that nature and whatever magic you wielded might would have protected you.
And he knew that you were a woman, easy to overcome, in case you came home early.
Like it had just happened.
He had lost his father in Haraldâs many wars for conquering lands, and you knew that Vidgis had been struggling with her own shop.
Not many had enough wealth to buy a new dress, he certainly didnât.
And he thought of taking what he thought was rightfully his.
In the end the money that Harald was paying you were the same ones that he paid monthly to him.
âIf you had asked me, I would have given you the moneyâ you breathed out, as you shifted against the threshold, aware that you hadnât much choice, because if you had chosen to run away, heâd have laid waste to the hut and more importantly the few memories that you kept close to your heart â⌠I can still give you the moneyâ.
And before you knew it, he was onto you, a knife at your throat, as you pleaded with him not to make any rushed decision.
Had Vidgis told her, she would have gladly given her the money she needed.
She would have paid straightforward the dress to help the woman.
But Vidgis was a proud woman, exactly like Harald.
But her son had had enough.
âThen show me where you stashed itâ he intimated you, and you tried to push yourself a bit away from the blade of the knife at your throat, because you knew that with the way Jorun trembled, he could have made a big mistake.
This boy wasnât cruel.
He hadnât been born that way.
But hunger and vengeance had done this to him.
âThey are under the fourth tile of my bedroom floorâ your mother had taught you that: people could devastate an house and look through every trunks, but they wouldnât have ever raised tiles to see what they hid.
Hence, they hid the most amazing of treasures.
âThen to your bedchamber, ladyâ he grimaced at you, as he led you through the small room, throwing you onto the bedroom, something for which you were grateful since his grip was so strong that it hurt you but he kept the knife unsheathed as a promise and he went to search for the money, finding it effectively.
But it was quite less than he had expected.
You had been hiding some somewhere else, deep in the forest.
And you had no intention of giving him that.
âThat canât be allâŚâ he protested, as he threw the small bag of money across the room, before he jumped onto you on the bed, as you tried to shriek away.
Had you been able to reach out in the nightstand, you might have found your knife, stashed in the small beside table.
And although you had no intention to stab him, you hoped to put some fear in him.
Jorun wasnât cruel or bad intentioned.
He was desperate and angry.
And that made him extremely more dangerous than a common criminal, so you hoped that pushing him to feel more fearful would have maybe made him to back off from you.
But as you were reaching out, he pushed you down on the bed, pinning your legs under his, effectively making you cease from moving any further away from him, as you tried to move your hands to push him off your body.
But although he might have been starved and malnourished, he still managed to be an unmovable rock against you, eventually pushing one of your arms back onto the bed with one of his elbows, the bone of it pushing down on your tender skin.
You certainly would have a bruise there the following day.
âFucking tell me where you stashed it all, you whoreâ he spoke, although his voice left its strength through the quote, as it became more a whine, but you just fought against him, trying your best to get through him, to push him off you â⌠Harald must pay you well for fucking youâ.
And then his mind became suddenly sharp, as a cunning smile appeared on his face.
And a shiver went down your spine, as you froze under him.
His eyes became wicked and he lost any pretense of humanity, becoming an animal guided from pure need and rage, and before you even knew it, he ripped the front of your dress, effectively baring your chest at him.
You shrieked and fought with one hand to hide yourself from him.
As you fought with your legs to try to kick him off, finally realizing what heâd do to you.
Youâd already been in such a position, and the last time you had been barely out of childhood, praying to the gods that itâd end quickly but it had just continued, as your motherâs cold body laid a few steps away from you, her eyes looking at the sky as if they were sparing you the shame of catching her daughter in that act.
You had done everything in your life to try to fight this weakness.
To avoid returning under a man.
But now, it was happening.
And Jorun moved to push his pants down, as he scrunched your dress up, freeing your hands, which moved to slap his face, effectively blinding him and you managed to make your legs escape his hold, shooting a knee up and hitting his soft skin between his legs.
Then you tried to turn away, rolling off bed, your legs lightly numb but you were able to cradle as you felt Jorun screaming in pain.
If you could reach the door youâd been safe, you could close the door and push some piece of furniture against it, effectively trapping Jorunn inside your room.
But before you could move past it, you were yanked by a leg and Jorun this time straight up jumped onto you, as he fell on you, pinning you to the ground under his heavy body and you heard the noise of a bone breaking, before you felt the pain of it.
And with Jorun over you, you werenât able to move away or try to free yourself from his hold, as he again scrunched up your dress, pushing his lips onto your neck, as you felt your body shaking and trembling as it all went back to that time, when a similar thing had happened.
And you closed your eyes, your body surrendering itself to the pain.
â⌠let me know why a king like so much sinking between your thighs, a fucking whoring bitchâ and you closed your eyes, holding a tight breath in your chest.
And then you heard a scream, a male scream and you thought that you had been mistaking your memory with the present.
It sometimes happened to you that youâd forget where you were, because suddenly the past would overtake you and youâd be left in the memory of your shame.
But it wasnât, and soon the weight of Jorun was pushed off your body, and you turned worried that he might have chosen to do something worse to you, but as you opened softly your eyes, you found out that you werenât alone anymore with Jorun, but king Harald was holding him down against the ground, as the boy had done with you on the bed.
You tried to shift your weight in order to bring yourself back on your feet, but you leaned on the wrong arm, the pain of the broken bone inside of it making you hiss painfully, enough to attract Haraldâs attention, who knocked out quickly Jorun slamming his head against your bedside table, before he came to you.
And more out of instinct than anything you pushed yourself away, fear shining in your eyes, as the king took it in, gently crouching down to you to calm your fear, offering you an hand, and waiting for you to accept it.
He pushed a blanket away from the trunk it was placed upon, and he gave it to you, to cover your naked breasts, not daring a simple look.
Then he helped you up, steadying you against him, but immediately leaving you as soon as he felt your discomfort, going to patrol over Jorun passed out body, a hint of blood coming out from his broken nose.
Hadnât he tried to rape you a few moments before, you would have felt bad for him.
âI do think that you know himâ mumbled Harald, slapping his face to see whether he was simply faking being passed out or he was truly, as you moved past him to check his pupils, finding out he had effectively passed out.
âHe is Jorun, the seamstressâ sonâ you replied, tightly, as you tried to move over to the kitchen, where you had some herbs for the pain that was shooting through your arm, as if part of the bone had pierced the skin.
âWas he taking your measurements?â humored darkly Harald, following you, something for which you were thankful because he reached out for you to the taller shelves, as you showed him the herbs that would help you feel back to normal.
You proceeded to boil them as Harald took a seat on the kitchen table, as if you hadnât a passed out boy in your room.
âHe was trying to find the money you give me for my suggestionsâ you confessed, thinking that it was definitely not worth hiding anything, even more because Harald didnât seem a man who liked being lied around.
It had already happened to him too many times.
â⌠then he isnât only a rapist, but he is also a thiefâ he mused as he almost seemed to think about it â⌠Iâll bring him to justice, donât fear my ladyâ.
As much as you hated the thought of letting Jorun go unpunished, you knew that having either his hand or his prick cut off for thievery and assault wouldnât have done him or his mother any good.
âDonâtâ you mumbled softly â⌠it wonât look good that you punish a rightful citizen of Vestfold for a witch, like meâ.
Because although people wouldnât certainly reject your coin, they hadnât accepted you.
And you knew what they called you when you turned your shoulders to them.
And you knew what they said already about Harald for coming to you, every week.
Commoners could come to you to know whether their harvest would be good or not.
But their king?
It was shameful for him to be controlled so easily by a foreigner.
â⌠you know what he tried to do to youâ he sent you a pointed look.
âI knowâ you mumbled, once the boiler whistled, signaling that your herbs had finished being boiled and you threw them in a bin nearby, grimacing at the strong smell in the pan, downing the beverage in one go â⌠but it wouldnât⌠itâd make them do worse things to meâ.
Your mother had taught you to act like a shadow in case things like this happened.
The villagers wouldnât ever accept the meddling of a foreigner in their affairs.
âI canât simply let him goâ he spoke, almost as if he was seriously worried about you â⌠he would come back here and I am sure that this time he wonât try any attempt of courtesyâ.
âYou call almost raping a woman a âcurtesyâ?â you questioned him with harsh eyes, as he simply replied to you with a rough smirk on his face as if to say âthen you know how much you are riskingâ.
âI wonât certainly leave you alone, at least for tonightâ he proclaimed, As he moved from the chair he had sat onto, adjusting himself as if he owned the place, a sight you didnât like âIâll sleep with you, tonight, and then Iâll send some men, hereâ.
âThatâd be a wasteâ.
You couldnât understand why Harald felt this need to protect you.
He certainly valued you as some kind of trusted advisor.
But this didnât justify the intense need of protecting you that he had gained after Jorunâs attack.
â⌠who is the king, (Y/N)?â he muttered tightly between his teeth, as if he didnât expect you to deny him âMy word is lawâ.
But you were a woman full of surprises.
âBecause you are the king, you shouldnât stay hereâ you retorted tightly â⌠I can handle myselfâ.
He shot a quick look at your locked bedchamber, where Jorun was sleep, as if to say: âare you sureâ.
âIâll stay hereâ he seemed unmovable and you believed that not even shoving him out of your house would have worked.
But at the same time, you didnât want to shove him out.
âDo whatever you want, my kingâ you simply bit your lips, as you moved towards another small cabinet in your small kitchen, feeling Haraldâs sharp eyes on you, meanwhile you got a few gauzes out of it, to properly push the bone in its rightful place, helping yourself with thin layers of wood.
Once you were done, you had a bit of relief, as the broken arm slung from your neck to keep its position steady, meanwhile Harald observed you carefully, almost fascinated by your knowing movements, helping you once you moved to the table to lay down your broken arm.
He passed you the gauze, as you pushed the bone in the rightful place, lightly number by the herbs, but you still felt tears coating your eyes, and Harald gently dried them with his rough thumb, without uttering a word, for which you were thankful.
Once you were finished, you both heard noises from you room and you turned to each other, now realizing that Jorun had woken up and before you could move to do anything, Harald lunged to the door, effectively coming face to face with a rather angry Jorun.
Whose face went straight up white as he took in his king.
âMy⌠my kingâ he stammered, as Harald just looked at him with an annoyed look, before grabbing him by the scruff of his head, as he dragged him away, meanwhile Jorun protested, pleading and begging.
âI shouldnât be the one who you need to addressâ muttered darkly Harald, as he sent you a light look, to make the boy know that you were the one on whose hands would come either his damnation or his safety.
â⌠lady⌠(Y/N)â he spoke softly, as he fell onto his knees, more for fear than true contrition â⌠I am sorryâ.
âHarald⌠donâtâŚâ you muttered, unable to withhold Jorunâs gaze, almost as if that pushed you to feel him again on top of you, entering the sanctuary of your legs, as your eyes shifted on Haraldâs â⌠it is enoughâ.
âI donât fucking think that it is, but⌠Iâll honor a ladyâs wordâ he ushered at the boy with one last look.
And then he dragged him out, making sure that the moved onto his horse, before he released him from his glare, as you looked at the whole scene wondering what the Hel you had found yourself in.
---
âYouâll have to sleep on the floorâ you mumbled as you took in the smallness of your bed.
Not that you had any intention of letting Harald sleep in your bed.
He might be a king, but he was a man.
A dangerously beautiful man.
âI have slept on worseâ he mumbled, as he sat on the cold tiles, but you just shook your head, collecting a few blankets and an extra pillow for him, even going back to get some straw to make him feel better.
All mansions that Harald took upon himself, as he ushered out of the bedroom, leaving you a private moment that you took to slip in a nightgown, covering yourself with a thick fur, grateful for its warmth.
Harald had insisted, the entire night, for you to relax, but you hadnât let him cook you dinner, since not only you had hidden a few poisonous herbs in your cabinets, but you didnât trust him around a fire.
But still except that he had brought you anything, treating you almost as a goddess.
Something that made you blush and made your conscience heavy.
âWhy are you helping me?â you had asked, as he washed the dishes, almost making a few crash, and destroy themselves on the ground â⌠I am nothingâ.
âYou are a subject of mineâ he had answered, softly turning to you as you found yourself so close, that you could almost trace his wrinkles with the tip of your nose â⌠and you told me to take care of my subjectsâ.
But there was something more beneath it, lingering in his eyes, that for now you could only describe with curiosity lingering in his eyes.
And you werenât sure it was a good thing.
As Harald came back he adjusted the straw and blankets to his own taste and then laid down there, and you took it as a cue to move yourself comfortably on top of the bed and go to sleep.
But you were sure that even ânumbedâ with the herbs you wouldnât have slept much.
â⌠if you need any more blankets, just ask meâ you mumbled tightly, as you turned on the opposite side of him, hearing a grumble of assurance, as you spent the following first hour of sleep turning around in bed.
You were so unused to have somebody else in your room, that when you heard Haraldâs voice you almost jumped out of bed, having forgotten for a moment that a king was sleeping on your floor.
â⌠(Y/N)?â it was your name and you moved to his side, worried that his old age had made him unable to move, but he looked honestly worried.
And not for himself.
âWhat is it?â you asked, faking a sleepy voice, but Harald didnât buy it in the slightest.
â⌠are you cold?â he teased you, and you huffed at it.
âNo, I am notâ.
âThen what is making you roll around that bed, like a bear in lethargyâ he retorted with a charming smile, that almost made you want to smack him across the face â⌠are you having trouble sleeping?â.
â⌠maybeâ there wasnât any need to lie.
The evidence was in front of his eyes.
And Harald would have probably annoyed you to death, hadnât you given him an answer.
âWant to talk it out?â.
âI thought I was the advisorâ.
âSomething horrible has happened to you, I wouldnât blame you, forâŚâ.
âHonestly, you arenât the person Iâd like to talk about that withâ you replied, as you turned far away from him, hoping that your bitterness would get him to leave you alone â⌠hope it didnât offend youâ.
â⌠just⌠it wasnât the first time it happened to you, didnât it?â.
You rolled on your back, focusing on the roof to shield yourself away from the memory of what had happened years ago.
âIt is none of your businessâ.
Although you knew that with your words you had already said enough.
âI saw the way your body went taunt and still, under him and IâŚâ.
âYou knew it because you did the same Jorun tried to do to meâ.
It certainly didnât take a genius to know that men like Harald didnât care for a ânoâ.
You knew it on your own skin.
It hadnât been a normal soldier who had taken advantage of you.
â⌠it is warâ he spoke, as if it justified the act, but you could almost taste the shame in those words, as if he wasnât truly convinced of them â⌠it is differentâ.
âNot for the womenâ you mumbled, biting on your lips to keep you in that bed and not on the ground that ten years before had stolen your innocence â⌠it is always the same for us: laying on our back, hoping that the pain will be soon over as we feel the weight of our shame onto usâ.
â(Y/N)â he tried to call you out, but you were too in deep in that memory.
â⌠pleading to be left alone, shrieking away and yet, pinned under your sweaty and horribleâŚâ.
Haraldâs hand reached out for yours, effectively pushing you out of your trance, as you opened the eyes you hadnât realized you had closed, shocked back to reality by the sudden touch.
Your breath was heavy and for a few minutes you needed to calm yourself down.
As Harald moved himself so that he could sit on the bed, without touching you.
â⌠I know thatâŚâ he tried to speak, but your gaze was lost in the woods of your own mind  â⌠I am sorryâ.
âIt doesnât make up for anythingâŚâ you commented, breathing deeply as you brought your knees under you, closer to your stomach, which was starting to hurt due to the agitation in it, the tense muscles clenching almost painfully â⌠nobody will give me back my innocenceâ.
Harald seemed shocked by that as you turned to him, with your eyes teary and he reached forward, almost as if it was the most natural thing, brushing them away, much more softly than you had believed those rough hands to be.
And before you knew it, it all fell down.
The pain and hurt you had been feeling made you crash as you slumped against Harald, his arms gently circling you, as they didnât understand whether you wanted to be hugged closed or to push him away.
But you quickly solved it for him, reaching out completely, as you felt your entire body finish its energy as you ended up falling in a dark hole.
---
You woke up with a heated body against you.
And for a moment you thought that you had gone back to the time you and your mother would sleep together in the single bed you owned, to warm up, since during many winter nights you hadnât enough wood for a fire.
But soon, you felt something scratchy against your face, immediately realizing that you had a male beside you and as you raised yourself, careful about the heavy broken arm on your chest, as you took in Harald, still asleep next to you.
He looked so peacefully that you gently shook off a few strands of hair that had exited his tight braid, as your hands lingered further on his face, as you werenât able to push yourself to leave that male handsomeness alone.
And eventually he woke up.
Much to your and his surprise, as you immediately moved further away, acting as if nothing had happened.
As if you hadnât slept next to the king, breath to breath.
Your cheek was slightly irritated by his beard, having slept so close to him that you had been almost in his lap.
Something that just made you blush further.
And to his own advantage Harald didnât ask you anything of it, once he woke up, meanwhile you adjusted your hair in a quick braid, trying to look busy as the man next to you moved to stretch himself a bit and then collect the leather straps and his chest piece he had had discarded to sleep more comfortably.
You both moved uncomfortably around each other, both unused to being close to another, but you couldnât help but laugh a bit for the way the king seemed so awkward and embarrassed.
It eventually made you gain the upper hand, after the outburst of the previous night.
⌠which made you want to almost bang your head against a wall.
If there was one thing that your mother always said, it was to never show your weakness to men: theyâd either treat you like an idiot or theyâd take advantage of it.
But Harald simply didnât want to talk about it, looking at you like a lost puppy looking for direction.
And you decided to spare him, asking him whether heâd stay for breakfast, something for which his stomach replied for him.
âI donât need my power to know that you are quite famished, my kingâ.
He had just shook his head away from you, laughing lightly.
â⌠and by the way you men are either hungry orâŚâ flashes of the previous night appeared in your mind â⌠hornyâ.
âYou donât have a high opinion of my gender, do you?â he had replied, softly, not a reprimand, but almost a different question from the one he had uttered, under his words.
That you couldnât answer.
âCan you blame me?â.
Your algid voice caught him unprepared and he just shook his head, lightly before he moved to the kitchen, leaving you the privacy of pushing on a proper dress, and to freshen up yourself as you were solely able to rub painfully the water on the zones that Jorun had touched.
Youâd also need to change your gauzes, and to check whether the bone was starting to straighten itself or not.
You hoped it would, because you needed very much your hands for your work, and if not for that⌠you surely needed them to defend yourself, because sadly, youâd be as good as dead, without a working arm.
You adjusted a few flowers in your hair to help yourself brighten your appearance, since it looked quite pale and you looked definitely as ghostly as you felt in the inside.
Swallowing bile and piercing the skin of your palms with your nails.
For a moment a tight image appeared in the mirror, a you, bloodied and bruised you.
Your eyes held none of the will of living, you had always owned.
And you turned the mirror, hiding yourself from your eyes.
You instead focused on the lovely smell you were feeling coming from the kitchen.
And then you recognized it, rushing forward as you saw Harald trying to peel a few fruits that you had in your house.
The small tin of spices in front of him, but you could already sniff that he had dipped some of it in the brew he had made, contained in a glass, and you rushed to grab it as you checked how much he had consumed, knowing that not only this spice was expensive, but you wouldnât have found it for sure at Vestfold.
âI didnât think it was poisonousâ excused himself Harald, noticing your worry, as you moved to hide away the spice â⌠please tell me that it wasnât poisonousâ.
âThat dependsâŚâ you mumbled, as you saw the manâs skin turn deliciously red, as he sent you a worried look, which made you smile lightly â⌠if you have taken too much, your old stomach might trouble youâ.
âI am not as old as you think I amâ he retorted grumpily, with an adorable expression of indignation â⌠how old do you truly think I am, little one?â.
âI donât knowâŚâ you pondered, with a finger to your chin â⌠had Odin already defeated the giants when you were born orâŚ?â.
He flipped you off and you couldnât now stop yourself from laughing out loud, as he soon joined you, welcoming you in front of him, as you took also a fruit and a knife, feeling your stomach being quite troubled, but at least peeling would have kept your mind off.
Although you werenât sure that it was a good idea for you to hold a knife so close to you.
Harald seemed to agree, pushing his already peeled fruit in your hands, taking the knife and the fruit away from you, as if he was completely unbothered by it all, almost used to this routine.
You let him do it, as you played around with the fruit, eventually daring for a small bite, just as the king dared to speak:
âYouâll come with me today, Iâll bring you in the hall, to be safeâ his voice was a clear order, but you didnât let it push you down.
âI can handle myselfâ.
âYou said so too, yesterdayâ he mumbled now softening his tone, as his eyes moved to your broken arm, a clear weakness for you â⌠but I donât think that you are in any shape to kick some assâ.
âYet, there are other waysâ you replied, tightly.
You could have hidden for a few days in the forest, it wouldnât have been pleasurable and getting any sleep would have been impossible, but you had done it after your motherâs death, and you could do it again.
âYou pointed out yesterday that you arenât welcome in the town, so I donât think that you can stay a few days with someoneâ he pushed the reality in front of your eyes, searching them as he finished the peeling of his own fruit, taking a good bite at it, as juices dirtied his beard â⌠and I know that you havenât any family hereâ.
âHave you been doing researches on me?â your blood froze in your veins, although you tried to utter those words with as much indignation as you owned in your body.
âMy earls havenât been⌠happy of your presence and I had to reassure themâ he looked honestly embarrassed, almost as if your tone had had its effect on him.
Harald Finehair, the toughest man in all Sweden was proving himself to be quiet tamer than you had thought.
âDid you?â he shot you a confused look â⌠did you reassure them that I am a true witch and not solely somebody who is here to use your money and then take your throne?â.
âYou wouldnât take my throneâ his voice was now rough, but sincere â⌠you have this power in you, and yet you live in a hutâ.
Now it was your time to blink as you lowered your head pitifully, looking at the half-bitten fruit.
â⌠I like my hutâ.
âYou donât have the ambition to be a rebelâ the arrogant affirmation made breath come out of your lungs.
You hadnât always been like this.
You had been a happy child, puffy cheeks and soft eyes, always running away from your mother.
But something had been broken in you, a long time ago.
And you had lost all your ambition.
Although right now it shone brightly in embers.
â⌠excuse me, but fuck yourself, kingâ you mumbled, as Haraldâs eyes dropped, recognizing the anger in his voice â⌠if you treat women like this, I now do know why they run away from youâ.
You had said that to anger him, you knew it.
But Harald looked almost heartbroken at your vicious word, and lowered his own head, pushing down his knife, and piercing his hands with the core of the fruit, all it was left of it, to the point that you were sure he was going to snap it.
âYouâll come with me at the hall, todayâ this time it wasnât a veiled order.
It was an order.
â⌠then tomorrow Iâll arrange for a guard to station here, for a few days, at least till that arm get better. If you want you may ask my healer to check on it, but I am sure that stubborn head of yours wonât allow itâ.
And before you could come up with any smartass reply about your âstubborn headâ Harald had moved away to get his horse ready, and you were left alone, thinking about whether you had just signed over your own death sentence.
---
The ride with Harald back to the hall was quiet.
You had taken enough for a night, hoping that your staying wouldnât prolong itself for further than that.
Although you didnât like holding onto places, you felt comfortable and safe in your hut.
Although you werenât sure youâd be able to wash away the stains of Jorunâs memory from your body and the tiles of your floor.
Since you didnât have a horse and your arm was broken, you shared Haraldâs.
He had to settle himself behind you over the horse, to guide the animal as you were gripped by his essence and touch.
Something that would have made you uncomfortable after what had happened, the previous day.
Harald also seemed to realize it, settling himself so that you wouldnât have any contact unless necessary, but you couldnât help but feel almost protected by him, as his rough manly smell, mixed with yours, probably taken meanwhile you slept together.
It felt almost good.
Lulled by the rhythmic moving of Haraldâs stallion, under you, you fell asleep.
Only waking up as you felt yourself being moved off gently by the horse, as Harald held you softly in his arms.
Which you escaped immediately, looking around to see if there was anybody around as you slowly came back to your senses, simply seeing a few guards, who were extremely careful in hiding their smiles.
âI can walkâ you mumbled, once you were back to your feet, as Harald nodded with a smirk on his face âI didnât break my legâ.
âYou snored, pretty loudlyâ he said, once you were inside, nobody there except you, since it was pretty early, and it was a market day.
âNever as your father last nightâ you retorted, showing him a bit of a foul mouth that surprised him, before he shook his head, amused, and brought you to a guest room, as you held tight to yourself your small bassoon.
âYou are a true pain in the ass, little seer, and the worst is that you know itâ he mumbled more to himself than for you, but you still gave him a light smirk â⌠donât wander off, without a guardâ.
âDonât tell me what to doâ you retorted effectively challenging him.
â⌠I would gladly have you closed in your room, but you said that it isnât the best way to a womanâs heart, so Iâll avoid itâŚâ why did he have to be such a smartass?
Using your own words against you.
â⌠and also, there isnât much that you can do with a broken armâ.
And you showed him exactly what you could do with a single finger, before he moved off, leaving you to push yourself for comfort, as a guard came to take a stand in front of your door, asking you if youâd need any help.
âYeah, Iâd like to erase the fact that a man tried to take advantage of me again, and that king Harald, the man I have been conning, came to rescue me and he has been taking care of me as if he cares for meâ.
âNo, thank youâ you simply replied, with the fakest smile on your face, as you closed the door right in his face.
You passed the afternoon, basically probing at your swelling arm, as you let it out of the gauze, glad that the bone wasnât crooked or anything, but certainly for a good month you wouldnât have been able to use it properly.
But it was better than for it to have broken out of your skin, which was lightly bruising with broken veins of a purple color.
You dosed on it some of the lotions that you had brought with yourself, alongside a change of clothes and your spices, comforted by their familiar smell, as you decided to try to exercise a bit the arm.
But you were mostly annoyed, feeling like you had just made yourself a prisoner.
You didnât want to go out, both fearing the judgement of the people outside and both fearing something happening to you.
Although Harald was a smartass, he was right about a broken arm being a pretty weakness.
So, you were left to your own boredom.
And your own thoughts, which was even worse.
Because now you could feel your mind spiraling.
And then a thrilling laugh woke you, from your dark thoughts.
And you moved to the door with your ear against it, as you caught another two womenâs voices, as you realized that they had been talking about you.
â⌠the king has brought a new ladyâ said the voice that had laughed, light and soft, almost airy and breathy â⌠do you think that he kidnapped her too?â.
You already liked these people.
âNo, sadly⌠the guards said that she is here because the king said soâ mumbled a quieter but steadier voice â⌠which if you think might be indeed considered, kidnappingâ.
âSaga! Frigg! Shut your fat mouths!â this voice was graver and you linked it to an older woman, probably their mistress, since the giggles immediately quieted â⌠youâll get your tongues cut for saying thatâ.
â⌠Ingrid! Just let us have a bit of fun! At least as long as the master isnât home!â complained the softer girl, who you thought was Saga, because the second one replied, lightly:
âSaga is right! We should enjoy our freedom for a bit, since heâll stay the entire day at the marketâ.
âHe has been low key spending more and more time away from hereâŚâ pondered Saga, not that I am complaining, I can do my chores with more easeâ.
And the girls continued on chirping in about Harald.
Meanwhile you couldnât help but realize that Harald had been acting on your suggestions.
âStay with your people, show yourself around and share their burdensâ you had told him, on your first sessions â⌠that wonât make them see you as an unknown king, but youâll be their king and theyâll be loyal to you, for sureâ.
He had seriously⌠been following your suggestions.
And you felt your heart chirping as the girls outside of the doors, at that.
And again, the want to smack yourself across the face came back.
In the end, youâd have gotten nothing from keeping up with that overthinking and decided to open lightly the door, gaining a few âohâs from the ladies waiting outside, who tried to move themselves further than they had been a few minutes, to hide their own spying.
The older one, Ingrid you thought, immediately pushed herself forward, in her lean and tall form, her hair peppered with grey and her eyes tired, and asked you if you needed anything, taking in your discarded figure and more importantly your limp arm.
A dark glare was shared between Saga and Frigg as they took it in.
âAhem⌠not really, I justâŚâ you felt awkward, since it had been quite some time since you had last been able to chat without contracting prices or defending yourself.
The best talks you had had in quite some time, although you werenât proud to admit it, were with Harald.
â⌠is your arm hurting you, lady?â asked the blonde girl, lightly curvy and with puffy cheeks, something that resembled the Saxon definition of an angel, and you were able to link the name Saga to her, as her soft tone completely wrapped around you.
âA bit, but I took some herbs to numb the painâ you explained, glad that you could answer question.
â⌠did you fall from a horse?â asked Frigg instead, a pretty brunette girl, the smallest of the three but with a fire in her eyes that brought her to shine as bright as a star â⌠it seems seriousâ.
âNot too much, actually, I was lucky the bone didnât break out of my skinâ you explained as you withhold her gaze, to make her understand that it hadnât been Harald.
Because that had been the question in her eyes.
And you couldnât help but find endearing her worry.
Maybe if you had met more people like her, you would have liked spending more time with them, instead of hiding in the full nature.
â⌠do you want us to get some gauze and wooden bars to help you straighten it up?â asked Ingrid, eager to help, almost as if she was used to being ordered around and she thought it wasnât ordinary not to be commanded by Haraldâs guests.
âAh, thank you, but I am mostly letting it out to avoid the skin being too dry and having blood problems laterâ you explained, but Ingridâs worry didnât look lessened in the slightest ad you asked her to get you some lotion, which seemed to make her extremely happy, as you felt Sagaâs eyes on your limp limbs.
âCan I touch it?â asked Saga, pointing to your limb, as Frigg lightly decked her on her arm âOuch!â.
âSorry, my lady, my sister doesnât think before talkingâ.
You looked at the surprised, because they didnât look like sisters in the slightest: whereas Saga was puffy and soft, Frigg was tight-wounded and sharp, both beautiful but as distant as the sun and moon.
Frigg seemed to finally understand your surprise at that news and blushed lightly, before elbowing her sister, who spurred on croaked.
âMy family took in Frigg, when her mother diedâ.
Your gaze immediately softened as Frigg, lowered her head, something similar to shame on her face.
â⌠I am sorry to hear thatâ you mumbled, gently offering your uninjured arm to the smaller girl, who seemed surprised by your gentleness â⌠I have also lost my mother, ten winter ago, I can imagine how difficult it can beâ.
And for a minute you and Frigg were brought together in some kind of magical spell.
Your eyes sharing respect for another survivor.
And then Saga touched your swollen arm, making you hiss as Frigg pulled her eyes to the roof above you.
âThatâs so cool!â commented Saga, as she lifted her eyes to you, seeing that you werenât exactly comfortable â⌠sorryâ.
âSaga wished to become a healerâŚâ mumbled Frigg, justifying her sister, as she brought her a bit away from you â⌠or a torturerâ.
âI did! ButâŚâ her eyes suddenly became lightly lost â⌠father said I am not very smartâ.
You couldnât help but dig your nails in the soft skin of your palm, as you heard that.
âWell, you donât need to be smart for being a healerâ you mumbled softly â⌠you just need a good teacherâ.
Sagaâs eyes brightened a bit, as a small smile appeared on Friggâs face.
âI am not a proper healer, but I can teach you a few thingsâ you proposed softly â⌠you can help me band up my armâ.
âI wouldnât suggest thatâ Frigg commented â⌠lady, she is particularly clumsyâ.
âWell, first of all: there is no need to call me lady, just (Y/N)â you insisted â⌠and believe me there isnât much damage she could do, since it is already brokenâ.
---
And although you had to admit that Saga hadnât the most careful touch, she learned quickly and moved even more, having your arm bandaged ever quicker than you could do, as Frigg observed around the room, looking curious, but justifying it as checking if you needed anything.
And you let her do it, since you didnât have anything dangerousâŚ
⌠laying around, at least.
Then the girls gossiped a bit with you, something that made you almost feel normal and you were more than happy to indulge them in your silly talks, as they laughed at your surprise when you heard the scandalous rumors of the town that had never let you in.
Till Harald walked in.
And then both Frigg and Saga moved to their feet, bowing at the king, almost as if they didnât know whether to stay with you and have some fun or to move away, now that Harald was there.
But Harald solved it for them.
âDonât you have chores to do?â he asked simply, and the two women excused themselves scurrying off, as you moved to send him an annoyed stare â⌠they are servantsâ.
âThey brightened my dull afternoonâ you replied with a sharp tongue.
â⌠you could have asked me to spend it with youâ now it was him who had a smart smile on his face â⌠I certainly would have made your afternoon less dullâ.
âWhy do I even bother?â you muttered, facing away from him, an annoyed look on your face.
âBecause I pay youâ he spoke gingerly â⌠and because after all you like annoying meâ.
âI just donât like when you do it to meâ you tried to appear completely unbothered â⌠I should be the only one allowed to do itâ.
âThatâd be unfair, miladyâ.
A soft laugh escaped your lips, and you turned to Harald, who had gently closed the door behind him, making you understand that what he wanted to discuss with you wasnât to be heard.
âI went to Vidgisâ he spoke, making you send him a small look â⌠I told her to send the dresses you ordered here, alongside mine, because I sadly canât let you go back, to your small hutâ.
âDo you seriously intend to kidnap me?â your shock activated your immediate sarcasm.
â⌠I have been having a few small riots at the borders, and I need all my guards there, so I wonât have anybody protecting you and your house, for these daysâ he explained quickly, making you grimace lightly.
âI can go back on my ownâ.
âAnd risk getting attacked by Jorunâs friends? I want to avoid thatâ he uttered, his tone an order that you didnât want to hear â⌠why is it so âhorribleâ for you to stay here, in my castle, all sheltered and with a servant for every need of yours?â.
âWhy do you care so much about me?â you replied, with the same annoyed irritation â⌠because I am nothing to you, Harald, truly. I am not blood and neither a loverâ.
He seemed taken aback and you wondered whether for a moment he had thought that your gentleness with him was your way of flirting with him.
To get him to be your lover.
You felt suddenly choked.
But Harald shook himself quickly.
âWhy do you have to question the hand that feeds you?â he mumbled, hissing the question through his teeths.
âNobody does anything for nothingâ you replied â⌠name your price, because if it is my open legsâŚâ.
âWoman, would you stop thinking badly of me for a minute?!â his face was red, and you couldnât help but be a bit surprised by such an intimate expression as his eyes didnât try to meet you â⌠I wouldnât do that to you⌠I justâŚâ.
âWhat do you want, Harald, then?â you pushed him further and he raised his eyes to meet yours, shining with an honesty and an ache that made you for a moment, ashamed.
â⌠your suggestions are useful, although you speak with such a sharp tongueâ now his tone was back in check, extremely kingly â⌠thatâs why I want to keep you around, because others wonât tell me where I go wrong, but you wonât hesitate to make me notice even in the slightest any flaw of mineâ.
You were speechless, taken aback completely.
It was so utter sincere, that it should have hurt you.
But you were reassured to know that he hadnât no further reasons to care for you.
That it was simply⌠for his own advantage.
No, it didnât hurt you in the slightest.
And even if it did, you couldnât just show it to him right now.
âIâll stayâ you were now hurrying to get yourself rid of him â⌠for a week, and then Iâll go back home, and you canât stop meâ.
âWouldnât even think about itâ.
---
Your dinner had been consumed in silence.
And your night had been as well, as you had fallen in bed suddenly feeling tired.
You didnât dream of nothing more than the intense black night that fell onto you, caressing as a mother.
But your sleep wasnât long, and you woke up as soon as the Sun peaked through the curtains, making you turn and turn on the bed, till both the side of the bed were warm because of your movements.
And eventually you thought about waking up.
The covers being too hot, and your arm screaming for attention, as you disentangled your home-made cast, as you pushed yourself to the window of your room.
You looked at the calm moving of the sun, yawning because although your mind was active, your body wasnât, hence you kept your day lazy as you went through the first thoughts of the day.
Haraldâs confession.
You shouldnât have been surprised by his admission of needing your suggestions to survive.
You had prided yourself with that thought.
But now, it just⌠it seemed almost stained with shame.
Because Harald was genuine towards his need to help you, almost protective in a way that he hadnât any obligation to be.
Something that still pained you.
Because you didnât deserve it.
And you were still worried it wasnât genuine.
But you had put yourself in this game.
And youâd get yourself up.
As soon as it was a decent hour, you moved out of your room, intent on moving in the kitchens to be allowed to eat there, since you had no intention of revealing your presence there to Haraldâs subject.
They already thought that you were his whore.
Oh, how were they wrong.
Because had they witnessed the exchange of words of the previous night, theyâd have certainly realized that he was your whore.
Doing your bidding and taking care of you.
You were glad to find on your way to the kitchens both Frigg and Saga, who were even more than glad to lead you there, surprised by your decision to eat with the servants, but your stomach had just grumbled so loudly that they hadnât questioned your decision further.
You were glad to spend some more time with the girls, since it was easy to talk with them, and they were quite chatty, definitely pushing away all the bad thoughts in your mind.
It had been such a long time since girls had come to you as friend and not clients, with eyes full of suspicion, that just made you uncomfortable.
But the two sisters were more than happy to exchange a few laughs with you.
And they even accompanied you back to your room, to help you get ready, mostly to bathe, since as Saga had commented after a few minutes.
âYou smell like a horse more than the arse of a soldierâ.
Frigg had just decked her sister on the arm, and meanwhile you were finishing the bath, you heard small giggles coming from the main room, linked to the small private bathroom definitely made for a female, either Haraldâs wife or daughter.
Something that made you a bit uneasy.
But he had good taste, if he had been the one who had set it up.
It was clean and homely, maybe a bit more than it was fashionable, but for Harald, a man who thought more with heart than his dick, it wasnât that strange, and it made you feel less uneasy about having left the hut.
If you had to stay there for a week, you wouldnât have certainly complained for the place.
As you moved out, the girlsâ giggles were due to your dress having finally arrived and they were admiring it, immediately blushing as they were caught by you, and you simply told them to keep on looking at it, since you couldnât do much, till at least your hair were wet.
Saga had a malicious smile on her face, and it didnât take her long to ask you whether she could try it on.
âOh, Gosh, Saga! Donât you have manners!â complained Frigg â⌠and you arenât in the slightest like lady⌠I mean⌠(Y/N)â.
Saga had immediately looked discouraged, but you had insisted she did try it on.
âI do think that the color would suit you better, Sagaâ you suggested âDo try it on, pleaseâ.
And she didnât need to be told a second time, as she hurried in the dress, with little shame for her undressed state, as she put it on quickly, fastening lightly the ties, behind it, helped by Frigg, who had slowly moved in a less sour mood, enjoying the small smirk that was on her sisterâs face.
The dress was a beautiful creation of a bluish fabric that complimented your skin tone, but even more it had been shaped perfectly for the body of the wearer, suiting Saga enough, that you almost thought that it wasnât worth to keep it.
That you should have gifted it to her.
It was sultry and lightly shiny in its front, to bring out the attention to the right parts of your body.
It caught almost fire as light touched it, in a heavenly creation.
And then something happened.
Saga turned to you, and suddenly her smile became a grimace, almost as if she had pricked herself with a needle, and for a moment you thought that she had, although it wouldnât have been extremely unprofessional for Vidgis to forget one inside the dress.
But then she turned to you and started choking on air.
And before you knew it, she fell onto the ground, Frigg immediately on her knees beside her, alongside you who pushed the other girl aside to check on Saga, as she was shaken by convulsions.
You quickly checked on Saga, who had started becoming quite purple-y, effectively her air being stolen by her lungs, and you didnât think this was accidental, in the slightest.
Saga wasnât in the slightest unhealthy, so it had to be the dress.
You quickly pushed your robe away from your body, standing naked in front of the girls as you moved to bind together the robe over your hands, to avoid whatever the dress had been drown in sticking also to your skin.
Uncaring of the expensive fabric, you opened the dress, rapturing its stitched to get it even more quickly the dress away from Saga, helped by Frigg, who although shocked, followed quickly through your actions.
Although Saga, breathed deeply, her body was shaken by feverish convulsions and you could finally realize that the dress had been poisoned.
You just had to understand with what.
You pushed a bit of the fabric of the dress, close to your body as Frigg asked you what to do.
But you couldnât do much, till you understood what had been introduced in Sagaâs body.
The dress was full of the smell of Saga, which covered the poison.
But there were also many poisons that wouldnât leave out any distinctive smell.
Irritation for yourself coursed through your veins, as you thought about what Vidgis might have laced in the dress.
On what she might have put her hands on.
And then you found out what.
And rushed in your bag to take back the antidote, something that had been saved by Jorunâs rummaging in your house.
Saga would have to thank Odin, if she survived through this.
You rushed to her, pushing the antidote through the mouth, making her choking back to it and spit it back, something that made you and Frigg hold a breath, as the younger mumbled tightly:
âPlease Saga, I wonât ever make fun of you⌠pleaseâŚâ she pleaded softly, as you tried to grasp onto her hand but she was too nervous â⌠please breathâ.
And almost as if spurred on by an order, Saga breathed, normally.
And it made you realize something.
And you rushed out, quickly putting on a fur over your naked body, stopping an handmaiden, and asking her where Harald slept.
The poor woman was too confused by your presence and crazed eyes to think that you had any suspicious intention and gave you quick instructions as you ran to his room.
And opened the door to a shirtless Harald, the new clothes laid neatly in the paper that they had been wrapped in, something that made you let out a deep breath of relief.
âIf you were so in need of my naked chest, all you had to do was askâ he mumbled tightly.
âDonât touch the new clothesâ you screamed immediately, uncaring of his sarcasm.
â⌠because you are going to rip them away from me, donât you?â he asked tightly, with another smartass smirk.
âNo, you idiot, because they are fucking laced with poisonâ.
And this was enough to get his smirk away from his face.
âHow⌠do⌠â and then he rushed to you grabbing your hands, almost as if he wanted to check on you â⌠are you alright?â.
âYes yesâ you spoke, as you felt all the tiredness of these events falling onto you â⌠it was Saga whoâŚâ.
Suddenly you couldnât help but realize the shocking truth.
That dress had been made for you.
You should have been the one barely breathing like Saga.
You should have checked on her.
But as you made to turn around, Haraldâs hands that were still linked with yours brought you back to look at him.
âVidgis tried to poison me, you know what that meansâ.
That she had almost committed regicide.
An act of treason.
âI really need to check on Saga, but then weâll have a talk about thisâ you promised to him, the warmth of his hands going unnoticed to you.
Almost as if it was a natural gesture.
â⌠this isnât anymore a personal attack to youâ he spoke, his voice suddenly rough â⌠this is a betrayal to my crownâ.

Author's notes: I've been busting my ass all morning and last night trying it finish this, because honestly a Christmas fic after Christmas is just kinda... meh. But, alas, I only got the first half, the sort of build up, done. Well, something is better than nothing, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
From @therealswanqueen 's request for me (:
"Oh if you're going to write a continuation of the lingerie fic it would be nice if Danny buys it for Sam âĄâĄâĄ like if he's out shopping and sees something pretty and thinks 'Sammy would look gorgeous in this' âĄ"
------------
Danny mentally went over the list in his head, arms too full of stuff to actually pull it out of his pocket at the moment. He had gotten the regular shopping out of the way, and was now working his way though the upper level of the mall, searching for Christmas gifts the one day he could get away from those sneaky brothers.
He had already gotten a variety of gag gifts and weird oddities the twins were sure to enjoy at Spencer's, and a new Christmas sweater for Sam; after some deliberation, a matching one for himself, as well. Their mothers were sure to enjoy it.
It was hard to know what exactly to give when they already had most things they could want, but Danny still tried to be thoughtful and give nice things to the people that meant the most to him.
New boots, a watch, and an engraved harmonica for Jake? Check.
A vintage fur coat for Josh? Yep, and surprisingly cheap.
Books for all three Kiszka's? Yes, as well as some parchment, ink, and quills for Joshie - it was one of those random finds that hadn't been on his radar of gift ideas, but as soon as he saw them he knew Josh would love them.
All that was left was Sammy. His best friend (now lover, too) always seemed to be both the easiest and worst to shop for. He was picky, so picky that, even after all these years, Danny could rarely be 100% sure that he'd like his gift.
He went in and out of every store, desperately searching for *something* that Sam didn't already have, and that he would appreciate receiving.
Nothing.
Not a single item that would be a good fit to give his new-ish boyfriend, not even a cool pair of sunglasses to just fill put some space in his gift bag.
Danny sighed, deciding to fuck the mall and go Amazon it in the comfort of their bed. But, just as he was heading towards the exit, something caught his eye.
A blue something - pale, like a robin's egg, but speckled with small, shimmering beads instead of brown splattered spots. It was a lacy bra, hanging several racks in inside of a Victoria's Secret.
Danny stopped and stared at it, considering. Sam had said.... Sam had said that he would wear whatever Danny bought him. It had been nearly two months, and, while they had definitely had sex many, many times since then, none of the lingerie items had made another appearance. Sam hadn't even mentioned it again after that day, instead only shooting Danny the occasional meaningful look that he interpreted as "Well? I'm waiting, it's on you to continue this."
He took two steps forward, but stopped just before entering onto the lighter tiles of the store's entrance. Would Sam actually like this as his Christmas present, instead of other stuff - namely, things he could actually tell their family he got?
Danny turned and was about to walk away, but then spun around for just one last look at the bra. It was so, so pretty, and would look so, so good against Sam's tanned skin; he could envision his lover perfectly in that little blue piece, coyly teasing Danny as he ran his hands over his lacy chest.
He took in a sharp breath and marched into the store, bags of presents banging against his thighs as he rushed over to the rack to closer inspect the bra. Danny set his purchases down on the ground so he could touch it, tentatively reaching out a finger to run over the scalloped trim along one of the cups.
Danny realized that the one he was looking at would never fit Sam, but, luckily, there was a whole row of blue items in different sizes behind it. He flicked through the hangers, eyebrows knitting together at all of the different numbers, letters, prices, and, he realized, slightly different styles and designs.
Which one should he choose - what would look best on Sam, and what would fit him? Danny was at a loss. The first bra he had seen and fallen in love with appeared to be the only one of its kind, which was highly disappointing but he knew that often happened when shopping - if you fall in love with something, chances are it's not going to work out. Such was life.
The other bras, though: all were the same pale blue, but some had no beading, some possessed a ridiculous amount of straps, and one was also covered in purple, trailing vines embroidered over the lace, curling over the soft fabric.
"Sir, do you need any help?"
Danny startled, looking over his shoulder at a friendly, understanding looking employee. He nodded sheepishly, nudging aside some of his bags with his foot so he wasn't barricaded in a circle of paper bags.
"Yeah, I'm... I don't know what size to get- yeah," he cut himself off, nearly saying "to get my boyfriend" but realizing that maybe he shouldn't.
It wasn't like Danny was ashamed of being bisexual, but he figured that revealing he was dating a guy and buying him lingerie was not a good idea - not only because she could react weird, but because who knew who could recognize him. He decided it was safest to just pretend to be buying a present for his girlfriend, it was close enough and completely plausible, if only requiring more thought before he spoke.
"Of course! Do you know what size she is?"
He shook his head, looking back at all of the tags. Like every guy, he knew, roughly, that A was small and D was big - stereotypically perfect, though Danny disagreed - but there were also double letters and numbers that were confusing him. He had no frame of reference to know what size the numbers indicated, nor the scope of the sizes. 28 was the smallest he saw, but it still seemed like an awfully big number for Sam's tiny ribcage, and many of the other girls he'd met, too.
"That's all right, this is probably a surprise, huh?" The employee, he saw her name was Stephi, gave him a knowing look and a grin, and Danny nodded again, smiling back.
"Yeah, she... she's been kind of hinting, but this is totally going to be a surprise and I didn't really think to check sizes before I came. She's really small though, very skinny and uh, an A cup, I think. What are the numbers?"
"Oh, the numbers are for band size, it's like the circumference of the of the ribcage. She'd probably be a 28A, that's the smallest we have," Stephi said, sorting through the rack methodically and picking out several of the blue bras as well as a few others from a lower rung. "Do these look like they would fit?"
Danny squinted at them, trying to imagine if they would hang slack on Sam's body or sit snug like they were supposed to.
"I guess, yeah, those look like they'd fit. Though, I've never really seen her wear the shaped ones, she likes softer things. They're called, uh, it has 'bra' in it..."
Really, Danny didn't want to get the shaped ones because he thought they would pop off of Sam's body weird with nothing to fill them, and that looked both unsexy and uncomfortable. He'd heard one of his past girlfriends talk about some bra thing before; it had sounded like a lighter fabric or something, but he just couldn't remember what it was called.
"A brallette? Yes, we have those, here's a few."
She took the shaped bras and set them aside, holding out a few that looked like lacy, cut off tank tops or teddys, soft and thin fabric that would most likely lay flat if nothing was underneath.
Ah, a brallette! Danny swore he was going to pay more attention to what his partner was talking about when it came to stuff like this, be it Sam or another girlfriend - though, he hoped it would only ever be Sam from now on.
Danny looked at the bras she was holding, trying to decide. There was the soft blue one with purple vines crawling up from the band at the bottom, little flowers budding up high over the mesh and lace top and then continuing over the straps. He really liked that one, so he gently took it from her and kind of tucked it under his arm, then continued surveying.
Another was completely pale pink lace, "Millenial Pink" he was pretty sure. His eyes passed over it, going instead for one of similar design but of a rich, deep green color. He grabbed that one too, and decided not to get any of the others Stephi was holding.
He thanked her for her help, figuring he had a good grasp of what bras to get, now.
"No problem! I'm sure she'll love these, let me know if you need anything else, I'll be at the counter."
Stephi turned and started walking away, then came back to him. "Hey, you have a lot of bags, do you want to put them next to the counter while you shop, if you think it'll be awhile? It might make it easier."
Danny grinned at her. "Oh, yes, please, and thank you."
He appreciated how nice she was being to him, even though that was technically her job and she'd probably seen many hapless boyfriends in the store before. Still, it was the busy week before Christmas, and she had taken the time to patiently help him while people were rushing and yelling and making a mess of things all around them. Danny carried his bags over to where she directed and took the metal basket she gave him, turning back to survey the store for anything else that caught his eye.
Over in the left corner, he spotted a table full of colorful pieces of cloth - panties, he realized, looking at the mannequins modeling a few pairs. Danny wandered over to them, stopping briefly to run his hands over another bra but moving on when he realized it wasn't something Sam was likely to wear.
There were so many options! Danny knew that there were many, many styles of women's underwear; he was proud to say that he had seen quite a few of them first hand. Still, the colorful piles were almost making his head hurt, though his heart was beating faster with something that felt like excitement.
He picked up pair after pair, settling on the 10 for $100 deal he saw advertised. It seemed ridiculously expensive for tiny, flimsy pieces of fabric, but it would be so, so worth it when he got to see Sam's sinful hips in these cheeky little triangles.
Danny grabbed one more pair of panties and another bra - a matching, strappy set - and brought everything over to the front of the store, waiting in line with all the other ladies and boyfriends to purchase his secret gifts. He grinned at Stephi as she rung him up, thanking her profusely for the help and adding the pink striped bag to his cache of others.
He made his way past the giggling groups of teenage girls out of the store, pausing to give a few of them a smile when they blushed and pointed at him. He would stop and take pictures if they asked, but otherwise, he was a man on a mission.
Danny couldn't get the image of Sam all dressed up for him those two months ago out of his head; his stockings and garter, the corset, his sweet smile. He wasn't likely to find a corset like that at a commercial mall, but the other stuff - he wanted, he needed, to get the complete outfit.
His next stop, after dropping all the other gifts at the car like he had originally intended, was a high-end 'bohemian' boutique right next to Macy's. Danny pushed open the door, quirking his lips at some indie cover of Jingle Bells playing over the store's speaker.
Danny smiled widely, looking over the store. Florals, paisley, glitter, lace and satin and taffeta, all hung like shimmering, rainbow banners on the walls. He knew what Sam's style was, the only thing he had to do was build the bridge between the lingerie he had gotten and what Sam would wear, normally, and it was - hopefully - going to be an unforgettable gift. He decided to start at the hair clips and work his way around to the mini skirts on the other side.
~~~~
Two hours and nearly two thousand dollars later, he had three full-to-bursting bags of clothing and accessories for Sam. Danny knew he had gone over board, and over budget, but every time he thought he had found the last item he turned around and another was screaming at him, sometimes from an entirely different store, how good it would look on Sam's lithe body. This new idea had shone a new light on the mall where he had previously found nothing of interest to get his lover; now, it was like he couldn't stop the floor of gifts.
He sighed, hands straining to grasp all of the bag handles as he made his way to the parking lot, trying not to knock anyone over with his haul. Now all that was left was wrapping everything up and placing it under the tree, where Sam could receive it in a few days time.
Danny worried his lip in between his teeth as he loaded up the trunk of the car. He was happy with his purchases, but that didn't mean Sammy would like them. He tried to quell any doubt in his head, though; Sam had asked for Danny to buy him more stuff, so he had. Simple.
The only thing he had to worry about was the wrong person opening the presents - which, shit, maybe they shouldn't go under the tree.
~~~~
Jake was smirking, looking back and forth between Danny's red face and his little brother's more self satisfied, but also blushing one.
"So, Sammy, what did you get? Let us see."
Sam shook his head at first, looking like he was being asked to feed his arm to a lion, but then slowly raised his gift out of the mess of tissue paper. It was a top, silver and covered in shimmering fringe all the way down its torso and in lines along the sleeves. Some of the things Danny had gifted Sam toed the line - lacy shirts, crop tops, one skirt, booty shorts (though he already wore those) with the hope that Sam would actually like them, as in making them a part if his every day wardrobe. Dressing up for sex was fun, but Sam's androgyny, even when not sexual, was still incredibly attractive and Danny wanted to encourage it.
Jake whistled. "Dang, Sammy, I might have to "borrow" that from you. But that's not what made you blush, now let us see it. "
"Nuh-uh, no can do Jack-o. Do I demand to see everything your girlfriend gives you?"
"Ooh, so it's that kind of gift!" Josh laughed. He was sitting on the floor, surrounded by shining bits of metallic paper and rainbow wrapping, swaddled in a plush red robe and grinning like the little Christmas elf he was; he had demanded they each open one gift before they did Christmas with the entire Kiszka-Wagner clan like usual.
Danny squirmed in his seat, his face getting even darker. He had gotten Sam some regular things so as not to arouse suspicion, and then saved most of the special items for later that night, privately hoping Sam would try them on and give him a little show. But, he had slipped in one pair of frilly white and black panties to let Sam know what was to come.
Sam adamantly refused to show his brothers anything else in the bag, setting it aside behind his chair and shooting Danny a look that could only be described as sultry. Danny swallowed, dry, and opened his own gift from Sam.
It was a gorgeous silk robe, starting at a light lavender and melting into a deep, inky black at the bottom. There was embroidery along the edges, little flowers and curls trimming the sweeping bell sleeves. Black lace formed a belt along the gathered waist, little silver buttons shining against the darkness.
Danny gasped, softly running his fingers over the fabric, feeling the cool softness and already imagining it against his skin.
Sam leaned over and whispered in his ear, one hand curled around Danny's bicep. "I'll wear anything you get me, but I want you to do the same, at least try it. What do you think?"
Danny turned to Sam, almost at a loss for words. "It's... it's beautiful, Sammy, of course I'll wear it. We'll be matching."
It was incredible how fast Sam was able to take the reins of a situation and flip it - here, Danny had thought that he was indulging his lover's interest, but, apparently, Sam had realized that Danny was just as into it and brought the control back to himself. Danny was putty in his hands, buying what he wanted and following every order, and he always would be, with joy.
"Woah, that's cool. But why'd you get Danny a lacy robe?"
Danny looked up, startled, to see both of the twins leaning over and staring into the box on his lap. He quickly put the top back on and shrugged, not sure how he had forgotten they were there. It was the excitement, he supposed, and the sentimentality of the gift, too, that had distracted him.
Jake shook his head, mumbling "Weirdos," under his breath and going to start gathering up the wrapping paper strewn all over the floor. There was a weird air in the room, one Danny couldn't quite shake. Sam was still sitting way too close to him and giving him looks, not at all helping him get his head back on straight.
"So, anyways, did I mention that I got us matching sweaters? Mom will love them!"

The latest collection by McCallâs is here, just in time for the start of fall sewing! To be honest, when I first scrolled through the McCallâs release page, I wasnât overly excited, but I think there are a few patterns worth considering once you really examine the line drawings. Letâs take a look:
M7834 â My initial impression of this dress was âcute.â I particularly like the proportions on view B, the short sleeved top. However, in the interest of keeping my ever-growing pattern stash manageable, I have to question if I like the pattern better than the many shirt-dress patterns I already own, which, I think I do not. However, I do think this could be a cute fall look, and I think the fall florals are definitely a trend we will be seeing more of this season.
M7835 â McCallâs Create It! This is another dress pattern I find myself responding to positively, but will probably skip. I really like the darts and neckline options, but I think this is quite similar to McCallâs 7654, which has similar features but in a more restrained proportion.
M7833 â This knit dress and tunic pattern looks like a quick sew, and it could be rather cute. I find myself looking at the maxi as a quick, yet versatile garment that could be easily dressed up or down. Iâm sure Iâve got similar patterns but I still want to put this on the maybe list.
M7832 â I get a slight vintage 60s vibe from this dress pattern. The 60s has never really been my favorite fashion decade, so perhaps that explains why Iâm feeling a bit âmehâ on this design.
M7848 â This coat, however, is definitely going on my wishlist. Iâm a sucker for coat patterns, and while I donât think there is anything especially innovative here, I find the collar options to be incredibly practical. Personally, Iâm really wanting a coat with a hood, and I find the fur trimmed hood to be super cute. As a matter of preference, Iâd move the side pockets to the front seam, but otherwise I think this pattern looks great. It looks especially good for a newer sewer â no buttonholes (tricky in thick fabrics), no vents, no tricky collars, no welt pocketsâŚÂ Yet is is still stylish while avoiding the âbordering on bathrobeâ look. Definitely a winner in my book.
M7847 â This Learn to Sew pattern is a great way to showcase fur fabrics, but it could also be a good basic coat pattern in wool or other heavier fabrics. I like the proportions of the collar, itâs not too fiddly for fur, but itâs also not crazy large. Itâs nice to see the Learn to Sew patterns branching out to slightly more complex garments as well.
M7846 â Iâm not really interested in getting this poncho/cape pattern, but I do appreciate the collar options and design. I think this adds a level of interest that isnât typical of the more ubiquitous square piece of fabric with a neckhole style poncho.
M7841 â Iâm still not a fan of unisex patterns, BUT I do like the front patch pocket and hood options on this sweatshirt. Plus, it goes up to XXXL, which is actually kind of exciting because I have a few people I sew for who arenât in the typical XS-XL size range.
M7839 â If you want a non-unisex cut, this sweater could be a nice alternative. From the line drawing I find the dropped sleeves to be a bit large, but I find myself really liking the fit on the model wearing view E. Clearly, Iâm really into the idea of hoodies this fall.
M7840 â This voluminous shirt isnât the sort of pattern Iâm usually drawn to because it is just so voluminous. The model in the cream shirt is just drowning in fabric. However, the plaid shirt looks really cute! So, Iâd say this could be a fun fall look in a very drapey fabric â something too stiff is just going to look like you are wearing a literal paper bag.
M7836 â This is another pattern where the line drawing isnât doing it for me, but I really like the asymmetric one shoulder view on the model. I like asymmetry, and I like my shoulders, what can I say? The slit in view D looks really long, so keep that in mind if you are thinking about trying this pattern.
M7842 â I love this top from the back! But Iâm not sure how I feel about it from the front. The overlapping fabric seems like a cool idea, but, in practice, it just looks sort of odd and bulky. Perhaps it would have a more interesting effect if it were color blocked?
M7838 â The 1860s called and they want their sleeves back.
M7837 â Iâm so over the stick a ruffle everywhere trend. The giant laces on the side are quite the statement though.
M7831 â Learn to Sew. I feel like these sorts of overall jumpers have been super popular with the sewing community lately. Itâs not really something Iâm interested in, but, again, I like the amount of detail McCallâs has put in their âLearn to Sewâ patterns â topstitching, patch pockets, overall hooks. If this is your style, there are lots of yummy details here.
M7845 â I think this skirt is cute, but definitely too mini for me as a matter of personal taste. The ruffle and lace details are super fun for the fall though.
M7844 â Learn to Sew. Or, rather, learn to pleat. So. Many. Pleats! It does look like a fun party skirt though.
M7843 â Learn to Sew pants and skirt. Elastic waists, while perhaps not the most sophisticated closure, are easy to sew and pretty comfortable. These cropped flared trousers are a pretty popular style at the moment as well.
M7851 â These fashion accessory bags have some nice details, though Iâd personally try to figure out how to add an external pocket. They might be a nice introduction to bag making, or a fun project to learn how to use materials like leather.
M7830 â Itâs nice that you get an entire outfit in a single pattern. The leggings and top are the sorts of things I assume kids like to wear, but you have to admit the pink fur vest is totally where itâs at with this pattern.
M7827 â This girlâs dress and bolero is pretty cute. Iâd totally have been into the bare shoulders when I was in my Princess Jasmin phase.
M7829 â Learn to Sew. I feel like my mother would compare this to everything she had to wear growing up, though it is perhaps a bit modernized in its fabrication.
M7827 â Baby clothes. Iâm assuming the wrap over top is quite practical for dressing a baby?
M7849 â The bunny is so cute! I really love the classic look of these stuffed toys.
M7852 â Ok, I wanted to get the Burda unicorn onesie, but is seems that it may not be available in the US (or, at least, I couldnât find it in stores), so I guess Iâll have to settle for the McCallâs pattern. To be fair, this one does have patterns for unicorn wings. Also, I may or may not now be required to make a full My Little Pony set of onesies for New Years, because thatâs totally a thing. At the very least, Iâm totally going to hack this in half and make a unicorn hoodie, because thatâs clearly a thing I need in my life. Clearly.
M7853 â I get very âMary Poppins lightâ vibes off of this costume. I think this is going to be a pass for me â there isnât enough detail here to make it exciting, and the proportions are just a bit too exaggerated for me to want to try to convert the jacket to regular clothing.
M7854 â This GoT inspired pattern is another matter entirely though. Is it severely lacking in detail when compared to the inspiration piece? Yes. Am I getting it anyway? Also yes.
M7855 â More GoT goodness. I really like the jacket pattern from this one.
M7856 â Probably the least exciting of the GoT inspired patterns, but itâs still going in the stash. As a side note, the coat pattern could totally be made for non-costume purposes, especially if the length was adjusted. The seam lines would be very flattering.
M7850 â And, finally, we have the doggie wedding pattern. Because why not. There are a lot of things I feel like I could say, but Iâll just leave this one open ended because Iâm really more curious what people are going to say in the comments.
And thatâs it! I feel like there are a lot of ok patterns in this release â nothing spectacular, but plenty of decent options. For me, at this point, it sort of has to be spectacular (or a ridiculous unicorn onesie, which, by definition, is sort of spectacular) for me to want to buy it because my stash is so full, and Iâm not getting that with a lot of the patterns here. The zip front coat (M7848) is definitely going on the list, as are the costumes (because Iâm weak), and the unicorn onesie (because I have been denied by Burda), but the majority of patterns are a pretty solid pass â not because they are bad, but because I feel like I already have similar patterns that I like better. What do you all think? Are you getting the Fall Feels from this collection? Or is it a total snoozefest thatâs barely a blip on the pattern release radar? Feel free to discuss in the comments!

He Forgot to Mention the Damn Cat | 2,324k
Find the rest here! Read on AO3 here!
It all started with a stray cat.
Well, it all started because Peter was a drama queen who didnât think before he spoke.
â November 25: Established Relationship -Â Do you want to make a gif set of Stiles and Peter getting married? How about drawing them adopting/having kids? Maybe you want to write about them arguing over mundane domestic issues as they navigate living together. Give us all your established relationship Steter feels. â
All Stiles was trying to do was relax. He had never once thought being a high school teacher could be so taxing, but between creating lesson plans and grading assignments and dealing with all the obnoxious little shits he was forced to deal with on a daily basis - he was tired. It wasnât enough that he was working full time, keeping up with his own art, managing a relationship with the biggest drama queen in Beacon Hills, but he was also keeping the town safe, his spark twisted with the magic of the forest.
So Stiles wanted to take a nap, which was pretty much what heâd been doing. The loft was incredibly cold this time of year - especially with the wolves never getting cold) and he was thoroughly wrapped up in the thickest blanket Derek owned. His head was in Isaacâs lap, the other man softly petting Stilesâ hair as he drifted, not quite asleep but far from awake. His face was mashed into the man's stomach, blocking out the rest of the world as he tried to fall asleep. The pack was talking around him, though they were mostly having soft conversations, respectful of his need to sleep but his desire to be here with the pack anyway.
He was almost asleep, toying the line of unconsciousness when the door of the loft slammed open, the bang echoing throughout the room and causing Isaac to jump under him so harshly that Stiles fell to the floor - something he couldn't even be mad about, since it was Isaac. He heard the too-familiar growl of Peter and looked up to see the man standing in the doorway, eyes glowing electric blue as he furiously pulled his arm from his back to reveal -.
Oh.
Oh.
Shit, he forgot to mention the damn cat.
And the cat was still wearing Peterâs cardigan.
Stiles blinked up with wide eyes, jutting out his bottom lip in a perfect pout. It was a look he had perfected as a child and had turned out to work perfectly well on the older wolf. It had won him many an argument during the years they had been together and Stiles wasnât ashamed to use it to get this way.
And now, now with Peter staring murderously, a low, continuous growl emitting from his throat as he held the kitten at arms length seemed like as good as time as any to use it.
âStiles, what in the goddamn fuck is this thing?â Peter demanded, voice enough of a growl to make Stiles nervous. Peter has always had excellent control over his wolf, being more in tune with his inner conscious than any other were that Stiles had met. So for the man to be so openly out of control - for his eyes to still be glowing, words slurred around his fangs - was incredibly worrying.
âThatâs Luna,â Stiles answered after a too-long silence, Peterâs growling the only noise in the room now that all the others had turned away from their conversations to watch interaction with wide eyes.
âLuna?!â Peter asked incredulous, waving the kitten where he held her up by the nape of her neck. The thing mewled pitifully and Stiles whined in response, shooting to his feet and snatching the little thing from the man.
âPeter!â He hissed, glaring at the man over his shoulder, keeping his body between the kitten and Peter, just in case.
âMe?â Peter actually took a step back at that, eyes opening even further, âThat thing was not only in our bed, but it is wearing my cardigan!â
âI - alright, yes.â Stiles agreed easily, not being able to argue since it was true. The thing was wearing Peterâs cardigan, though that was hardly Stilesâ fault. Which, er, not exactly true either.
It had been an accident - a laundry mishap, you could say. It wasnât Stilesâ fault that their washer took a ridiculously long time to complete a cycle, and was also not his fault that Peter refused to buy a new one. He had cuddled up on the couch, wrapping his favorite blanket snug around himself when Luna jumped into his lap, spilling his glass of milk all over said blanket. Stiles had then rushed it to the washer, blindly throwing it in and setting the cycle.
Heâd thrown it immediately into the dryer (he was cold), after the hour and a half it took to wash, and must have gotten one of Peterâs more expensive cardigans into the dryer as well. It obviously wasnât his fault, after all he wasnât the one who left clothing in the washing machine inbetween wash days. The cardigan had fallen out onto the floor and Luna had swayed her way over, pawing at the fabric before curling atop it, meowing loudly until Stiles lifted them both up, fastening the thing around itâs little body - bringing both arms through the now shortened sleeves.
She looked adorable, and Stiles gently sat her on the couch behind him before turning back to his wolf, âIâm really sorry, dude, but it was already in the wash and-â
âItâs really not that hard to check the laundry -â Peter cut him off, snapping out his words, annoyance clear on his features.
âLook, Iâm sorry, I know but -â
âBut nothing Stiles! Chores shouldnât always be a test of intelligence!â
âOkay that was a little rude lo-â
âRude!? You shrunk my sweater!â
âIt is just a sweater, Peter.â
âIt is not just a sweater!â
âPeter, I can buy you another one.â
âI donât want another one. I wanted to wear this one, but now it is filled with fur! And entirely too small to ever wear again!â
âOkay I understand youâre upset but itâs clothing an-â
âYou didnât even tell me!â
âI just knew you would react like this. Honestly itâs clothing,â
âIt was three hundred dollars!â
âUh, guys, maybe you should cal-â Kira had tried to intervene, her voice soft, but Stiles talked over her, all but yelling at the man.
âPlease just calm down!â
âDown tell me what to do Stiles you are the you-â
âDonât even fucking go there!â
âWell itâs true!â
âOkay look, I really think you may be overreacting -â
âI donât even understand how we had a cat in the apartment!â
âOk if you both would just st-â Malia started, only to stop when Stiles began to frantically wave his hands as he spoke.
âWell I found her all alone an-â
âYou cannot just bring home animals without consulting me.â
âI knew what you would say, though!â
âCan you two go somewh-â Derek tried then, only to have Peter dramatically cut him off as the man all but shouted.
âGee, well then maybe you should have just left it -â
âI couldn't leave her Peter!â
âYou knew I didnât want petsâ
âWell you also donât want children!â Stiles snapped harshly, face flushed and cheeks a blotchy, uneven red.
âOh, so that is what this is about?â The man asked calmly, raising a brow.
âYeah Peter, thatâs what this is fucking about!
âWell Iâm sorry I canât be what you want!â
âOh for fuck sakes Peter, you know that is not what Iâm saying!â
âBut isnât it? Admit it, youâve been waiting to break up with me!â
âPeter, what the fuck are talking about!â Stiles asked, his voice going high.
âI think we both know this was never really going to work, Stiles.â Peter said it calmly, face impassive and Stiles felt like heâd been struck.
The response already on his tongue died at that, eyes widening as he took in Peterâs words. He didnât, he didnât know Peter felt like that, didnât know the man was just waiting till the end. Was he, did he not love Stiles? Did, did everything Stiles thought about their relationship exist in his own mind. Fuck, was Peter just going through the motions, hanging onto Stiles until he found someone better?
The boy stumbled back at that thought, that he would be replaced, could be replaced. He hadnât - fuck he hadnât even thought of them breaking up, not after they had passed their first year. It had been so hard at first, their sharp edges too often catching. The age difference could be so obvious at times, not helped at all by the years Peter spent in a coma. Not only that but Stiles often felt inadequate, especially during that first year.
For so long he hadnât been able to contribute financially, bills from school and living away for four years still piled away, gaining more and more interest that, at his measly high school teacher paychecks, he could hardly pay for. He had felt trapped at a time, unsure how he would ever be able to support himself should the two break up. That had gotten better in time, Stiles getting a raise with running a few after school programs, tutoring on the weekends and some evenings for extra cash.
So it had been hard - at first. They really had jumped into things, and it took them a while to parse through their new relationship. It had been worth it, clearly, and four of years of them going strong proved that. So the thought that - the thought that they could end, that Peter had even been thinking about it?
âI - I have a ring!â Stiles accused, spitting the word at the man.
How - how dare he let Stiles plan his future around him, let him fucking hope. He was angry now, felt stupid and worthless. But, watching Peterâs face shut down didnât please him at all. There had been a time, a long time, that hurting the man would have brought him joy. But that was years before their relationship, before soft Sunday mornings and goodnight kisses, and whispering fears and dreams in the dark of their own bed, inside their own house. Now, now it just twisted at his heart, and it hurt knowing he had caused the look on Peterâs face.
He watched Peter swallow and nod seemingly to himself, squaring his shoulders a little before admitting, âSo do I.â
And no, because that wasnât fair. It wasnât fair that Peter could make his heart flutter when he felt so horrible, so desperate. And that, well it didnât make sense? Wasnât, wasnât Peter the one who had started their fight, the one that had been responsible for this whole ordeal. He should be mad, furious even, that Peter would suggest they break up.
But that was hard, hard when the man he wanted to spend the rest of his life with just admitted to wanting very much the same. What was Stiles even supposed to do with that. He shook his head again, trying to clear some of his confusion.
âStiles-?â Peter began, his voice sounding far away. But Stiles just shook his head, wrapping his arms tighter around himself and turning his back to the room, trying desperately to parse through what he was feeling.
Heat lined his back, the familiar feel of Peterâs chest pulling a quiet whimper from him, not sure if this was going to be the last time he felt it. He was confused when Peter reached around him, grabbing Stilesâ hand and interlocking their fingers. It was a position they had been in a thousand and one times before, but the wolf had never held him so tightly before.
So desperately.
âIâve had one too,â The man whispered into Stiles neck, repeating his earlier words.
âI am still so, so mad at you.â Stiles admitted quietly, voice hardly above a whisper.
âMhm,â
âYouâre sleeping on the couch,â He added, still trying to calm his heart.
âOf course,â
âI donât want you thinking Iâm not seriously upset,â Stiles reiterated, because he --was.
He - they didnât fight often, never like this, either. Sure they argued occasionally, about small, domestic things that came with living with another person. They were never like this, never brought up such intense feelings. It could have also been that Stiles was sensitive from his nap and that Peter had already been upset - having had time to brew in his anger. They were both dramatic personalities and when Stiles really thought about it, he was surprised they hadnât blown up like this sooner.
So Stiles sighed and turned in the man's arms, peering up at him and waiting for the other man to meet his eyes before pressing a light, barely there kiss against the man's lips. It wasnât an apology, nor the acceptance of one, but more of a truce. He knew they were going to be okay, even if they would need to talk about what happened.
âIâm sorry I canât give you what you want,â The man side quietly, eyes on the floor.
Stiles shook his head, framing the man's face with his hand and turning him to meet their eyes, âNo, no Peter you do! You are what I want!â
âI love you,â
âSo I donât mean to interrupt,â Lydia called, her voice entirely too pointed. Stiles pulled his mouth from Peterâs neck to stare at the banshee, âBut what the hell is going on?â
âI - well. I think we almost broke up?â Stiles questioned, honestly too busy reeling from the emotional whiplash to think straight.
âYes, that sounds about right, sweetheart,â The man replied, his own smile pulling at his face even as he tugged the boy firmer against his body. Stiles laughed then, bright and loud and free, and Peter chuckled as well.
âWe are definitely missing something,â Isaac muttered under his breath, but Stiles was too distracted from where Peterâs hands were settled low on his back, pulling Stiles closer as though he were trying to merge them together.
Stiles just cuddled up, slipping his arms under the man's and hugging his waist tight. A mewl cut through the room and Peter growled on instinct, Stilesâ laughter drowning the noise out.

Lance and the 25 Days Chapter IV: Shopping
Itâs Ficcember Day 4! I had every intention of going into this chapter to make it shorter, as I have a lot of other work to do, but here I am at 3288. Iâd say Iâll make an effort to be concise tomorrow, but knowing me, itâll probably end up at a totally unnecessary 4000 words. To be fair, thought, there were three separate stories happening in these past two chapters, so that could have increased the length significantly. Hope you enjoy anyway!
Team Voltron has split up to shop for one anotherâs holiday presents, and each one witnesses or contributes to a different kind of holiday generosity.
Words: 3327
Category: Gen
Contains: Varkon: Mall Cop Part II, brOTP Pallura, brOTP Lance/Coran, brOTP Shunk [Shiro/Hunk], [slight] Gunderangst, dreidel mention, Jewish Pidge, Hanukkah history, Shiro and Hunk being blessĂŠd and pure, Allura being the best Space Mom/big sister ever, Coran being Lanceâs awesome Space Uncle
Takes place immediately following Chapter IIIâs events in the Space Mall.
Pidge had just bought the perfect gift for Shiro. She looked around apprehensively, then stuffed the item into her shopping bag. Now, all she had to do was buy something for Keith. It was not wonder he was the last person Pidge was buying presents for- the boy hardly wanted anything. Pidge thought back to the one and only time sheâd entered Keithâs room, secretly, of course, and she found absolutely nothing in it. It was the polar opposite of Pidgeâs room, all cluttered with Space Caterpillars and trash paladins. How on Earth was she going to buy a gift for someone who didnât want anything?
The young paladin scoffed at her hypocrisy. Here she was, complaining about Keith being too unmaterialistic, while all she really wanted for Chanukkah was something she knew none of the paladins could get her.
A chipper âPidge!â was peeped from behind her, and the named paladin jumped. She swung around to see Allura, who was waving at the shorter individual whilst holding a bag behind her back.
Pidge unclenched her body, saying to the princess, âAllura, I hope youâre not planning to shop with me. I donât want my present spoiled!â
The Altean woman nodded her head that she was, in fact, going to accompany the green paladin, ensuring that Pidgeâs gift had already been brought and safely and securely tucked away. Allura proclaimed that sheâd only Keith left to find something for, and she had come to Pidge for advice.
Pidge chuckled, then explained that she, too, was at a loss for what to purchase for Keith. They were running out of time, however, so they determined that they would shop together.
When the two paladins walked along the tiled mall floor, Allura couldnât stand the awkward silence suffocating the two of them. Eventually, the taller paladin spoke, âSo, how was the rest of your shopping?â Pidge answered that it had all gone fine, but forewarned Allura that she was not going to spoil the latterâs gift. Allura looked away and mumbled through clenched teeth that she had no intentions of coaxing Pidge into such an act. âDid you get Lance something?â Pidge grinned smugly, searching her bag momentarily before discreetly showing Allura her gift for the lanky red paladin. Allura took a peek at it and nodded approvingly, then hunting for her own gift for Lance, letting Pidge give it a once-over.
âOh, heâll love that,â Pidge sniggered.
âYes, I thought so,â Allura preened. âHeâs lucky to have me; I know all the good products in that area. So, Pidge⌠I must ask. How is Jewish Christmas different from normal Christmas?â
Pidge laughed out loud for a split second before slapping a hand over her mouth. âHahahaha- Chanukkah is not Jewish Christmas, Allura,â the little teen delineated. When Allura expressed confusion, Pidge put in, âChanukkah is a completely separate holiday from Christmas; they just both happen to fall in the same Earth month. I donât know if you know this, but humans have this weird thing called âreligion,â and Christmas is celebrated by people of the Christian religion, generally speaking.â
âSo⌠Jewish is the religion that celebrates Chanukkah?â Allura corrected herself.
âWell, the religion is Judaism, and the people who practice it are Jewish, or Jews,â Pidge elaborated. âChanukkah is the Jewish festival of lights, commemorating the time when the Jews of Israel drove the Greeks from their land and kept the Holy Temple of Jerusalemâs menorah lit with only one pot of oil for a miraculous eight days.â Allura communicated her wonderment at the thought, though she understood few of the words Pidge was saying. While pushing her glasses up her nose with a glint, Pidge stated, âScientifically impossible, but yes, quite astounding. So, Jews today celebrate this event by lighting a candle on-â Allura finished âThe menorah!â for the shorter storyteller, but Pidge continued, âWell, the menorah is actually a seven-prong candelabrum, and itâs a symbol for the Jewish homeland of Israel. The chanukkiah, which is whatâs used during Chanukkah, has nine prongs for holding the candles, but yeah, most people I know still call it a menorah.â
Allura nodded in understanding with each description, absorbing the information like an eager elementary schooler. Pidge almost felt warmed up inside at Alluraâs willingness to learn, and for a moment, sheâd forgotten about what would be missing from her Chanukkah this year. She did remember, though, and her head dropped nearly unnoticeably. Allura drew her attention again, though, pointing to a store hosting a multitude of knives and related items, and the two shrugs and dashed toward it.
Lance was getting irritated again. Not only was the absolute perfect present for Shiro just out of his budget ranged, but Coran would not stop following him. He couldnât buy Coranâs gift if he already saw what it was! Try as the red paladin might, but the gorgeous man himself could not be shaken. After the Altean man swooped behind another counter, raising his eyes slowly above it, then sneaking behind a display case and peeping out at Lance through the glass, the paladin could tolerate no more.
As Coran cautiously flipped over the case, Lance called out, âI know youâre spying on me, Coran.â The older Altean man toppled over and smashed his face onto the display case glass, quickly standing back up with false composure.
âAh, Lance, fancy seeing you here,â Coran coughed nonchalantly. When Lance inquired shortly why he was watching him, the answer was, âWell, you see, I thought I might learn by observation. You may have given one bang-up job in a preliminary gift-giving tutorial, but I think thereâs still more nuance to be learned just from⌠seeing an expert in action.â Coran dramatically made binoculars with his fingers and fixed his eyes on Lance. Lance gave Coran a skeptical look, but simply went back to staring down Shiroâs potential gift, sighing wistfully. âSee something you like?â Coran inquired, directing his binoculars to where the paladin was gazing.
The teenager told his companion that it was supposed to be Shiroâs gift, but he just didnât have the budget for it. Evidently, these particular items were insanely expensive toys for the children of the highest class Galra generals. Lance knew it as something vastly different than the Galra, however.
Coran, sporting a peculiar look on his face, asked, âDo you really think Shiro would want one of those?â to which Lance confirmed that he knew that Shiro wanted, or leastways needed, for cleaning up the kitchen after the paladins had a snack party in it. Coran pondered for a moment, then beckoned the alien running the Terra shop to come over so that they could purchase the item. Lance protested that Coran didnât need to buy it for him, but the Altean silenced him with, âEarly Christmas present- Iâm doing you a favor. Iâve already gotten my holiday presents for everyone else, anyhow. Now you just sit back and let me compensate for your lack of GAC,â and the gorgeous man winked.
Lance and Coran left the shop in a cheery mood, and Lance was satisfied now that he only had one present left to get. The only issue was, the giftâs recipient was uncomfortably close. Lance had to get rid of Coran somehow, but he didnât know what to do. He already knew what to get Coran, having seen it at a previous shop window. There had to be some way to get the mustachioed man off his tail for at least a couple of dobashesâŚ
All of a sudden, Lance noticed a shop behind Coran that appeared to be a fabric store, and a puffy, white-furred alien was exiting out of it. âCoran! I need another favor of you,â Lance announced hurriedly. Coran appeared ready to comply, and Lance beckoned him over so that he could whisper in his ear, muttering something along the lines of purchasing some red cloth and stopping the fuzzy alien for a brief âchat.â âIâm counting on you- Remember, itâs Christmas tradition, okay?â the boy finished, and Coran nodded with determination, assuring Lance that he wouldnât let him down.
Coran then took off after the puff ball shopper, and Lance snuck his way back to the quirky store he had found. He also patted himself on the back for killing two birds with one stone, like the clever sharpshooter he was.
Hunk and Shiro were on their way back to the meeting spot, finishing their gift shopping relatively early. They had run into each other when they had bought some tinkering parts for Pidgeâs presents in the same store. They had some time to kill, so they were strolling through a food court, decidedly not the one with Vrepit Salâs in it. While they walked, Shiro regaled his tale of woe concerning his false peppermint bark, knowing full well Hunk would sympathize with the tragedy. Hunk also pitched his Olkarion feast idea to Shiro, whom enthusiastically offered to help cook for said event. Hunk gently turned him down, aware of his lackluster cooking skills.
The two companions found that their path was blocked by a particularly long line. Hunk and Shiro tracked the beginning of the line with their vision, and it appeared to be a queue for an unilu crĂŠpe a la mode stand. Young aliens were crying in the queue, and there was a father at the front of the line trying to negotiate with the stand owner.
âIâm sorry, sir, but our ice cream maker is severely malfunctioning; we can barely even keep it from leaking, not to mention the power has been cut to our griddles,â the owner apologized.
âBut weâre here for my daughterâs birthday! We come here every year to support a good cause on her special day, but we canât celebrate without the crĂŠpes!â the father worried, holding his daughter to his chest whilst his older son clung to his leg.
âWhatâs going on here?â Hunk questioned when he was within the stand ownerâs earshot.
She turned to him and explained that the stand was meant to be offering their yearly CrĂŠpes for All Donors today, with all the dayâs profits being contributed to the Hybrid Relief Foundation, but all their equipment was malfunctioning. The father added that lots of families brought their children to the event to purchase discounted crĂŠpes. The owner suspected that the Galra were probably trying to sabotage their fundraiser, since it supported relief given to displaced and impoverished alien hybrid families.
âYou think the Galra are trying to uproot your fundraiser?â Shiro asked, and the father confirmed that this happened every year to at least a few shops, but never suspected that they would hit the most popular.
Shiro and Hunk looked at one another, then nodded. âShiro, you go find the perpetrator. Iâll handle the kitchens. People, listen up! You and your kids will get crĂŠpes a la mode galore! No oneâs stomach leaves this food court empty!â The aliens in line all stood at attention before Hunkâs proud words. âYou know, where Iâm from, this time of year it the best time of year to give back to the community, and Iâm gonna do just that. I wonât leave here today until every piece of equipment in these kitchens is fixed and in top-of-the-line condition! Iâll help man the kitchens to make the foods from scratch, and my good friend Shiro here, not the best cook,â Shiro appeared surprised to hear that, âwill stop the jerk who keeps wrecking the kitchen gear!â
There was an excited uproar from the crowd, and Hunk jumped the concession counter to work his magic on the ice cream maker. While he was doing that, he gave instructions to the standâs assistant cook to go find a bag, salt, and gather the ingredients for the vanilla ice cream.
Meanwhile, Shiro patrolled the backsides off the many restaurant fronts for the one who was sabotaging all of the kitchens. He found no evidence at first, but soon he had come across a hover segway that matched a description heâd heard before. He took a turn and lifted up a gate to a shop that was closed, discovering a box full of tools for taking machinery apart, as well as one filled with spare parts. A certain Galra was stuffing himself under a vending machine within the shop. This Galra unstuck himself from the machine, giving a satisfied sound when he pulled a spring out of it, then switching to an upset one when he noticed a disappointed Shiro.
âUh⌠Iâm a maintenance worker!â the stubby Galra peeped.
âRight⌠and Iâm security,â Shiro responded sarcastically.
Shiro left the saboteur stuffed into a custodial closet with his beloved segway whilst the Galra shouted phrases like, âVarkon will be back! Youâll be sorry; Iâm Emperor Zarkonâs trusted Number Two!â The black paladin just ignored this and returned to Hunk at the crĂŠpe stand.
Hunk wasted no time in employing Shiro, ordering him the instant he saw him to use his hand to bake the crĂŠpes. Shiro was a little hesitant in doing this, but Hunk ordered him to do it quickly, and the pilot submitted to the mechanic in fear. Hunk ordered the assistant to shake the ice cream bag harder, HARDER, there are lots of orders coming in! Add more sugar to that, but just a sprinkle of vanilla. Shiro, your hand has been on that one too long, take it off! Whew, that was close⌠There we go, the ice cream makerâs fixed, now get on it!
Hunk worked his way through the long lines, directing the others working the stand like a finely tuned orchestra and fixing the griddle at the same time. Once it was fixed and the lines had died down long enough, Hunk moved on to helping the next food stand in crisis, followed by an attentive Shiro. Heâd even inspired the father at the front of the line to join in on the volunteer cooking, and more were soon to follow. In a shockingly short but hectic, at least in Shiroâs view, period of time, the whole food court was back on track and getting their orders out and donations in. The yellow and black paladins stood back to take the thriving food court all in.
Shiro sighed off the stress, telling his friend, âGood job helping those people out, Hunk. Itâs especially good knowing that these people can now send all of their proceeds to a Space Charity of crossbreeds. I didnât even know there were charities under the Galra Empire.â
âHey, I should be thanking you,â Hunk assured him. âFor a⌠novice cook, you handled the pressure of the kitchen pretty well. Iâm guessing that these Space Charities canât get a lot done since stuff like this sabotage is probably pretty commonplace under the Galra Empire. We did some good here today, Shiro.â The teen gripped Shiroâs shoulder reassuringly. The crĂŠpe stand owner and the father who had volunteered had come over to meet with Hunk, offering up one of the ice cream makers heâd fixed as a reward. The two paladins met eyes, then Hunk kindly suggested that she keep it, as he was glad to aid in the troubles of a struggling kitchen.
The stand owner was about to insist further, until they were interrupted by a familiarly troublesome hover segway. âI told you Iâd be back- and if it isnât one of the infamous Space Pirates! Of course youâd hire this shady mercenary! COME HERE, YOU!â
âRun, itâs Varkon!â Hunk ordered Shiro, grabbing him to run away. âYou canât stop culinary righteousness, mall cop!â
The unilu stand owner watched in confusion as the trio tumbled off. She turned around when she heard panting coming up behind her, noting that it was Sal from the other food court. âIâll never forget that kid. Heâs a true artist of cuisine.â
Sal gasped for air for a moment more, then straightened up and commented, âHe jilted you, too, huh?â
âThanks,â Pidge said while paying for Keithâs gift and putting it in her shopping bag. She then exited the knife store to meet Allura, whom was already outside. When she found her, the princess ran over to Pidge so that she could drag her over to the small booth she was looking at.
âPidge, look at this sand!â she encouraged. âItâs soft and moldable when dry, but when you add water, it becomes harder and solid. Then, if you dip it in hydrogen peroxide, it falls apart so that you can remold it!â Pidge was immediately fascinated by the odd substance, picking it up and playing around with it. It felt similar to kinetic sand back on Earth, which Matt played with a lot. She molded it into a mini bayard, then tested it in the water. âSee?â Allura prompted as Pidge took it out of the water. To her intrigue, the little ornament acted like wet clay when it came out of the water, only to quickly dry and harden in less than fifteen seconds. The green paladin lifted her glasses and squinted at the material, then put her glasses back down while she dropped it in the hydrogen peroxide. The object slowly decayed, reverting back to sand within a minute.
âThatâs amazing!â Pidge interjected. âIâve gotta know the chemistry behind this⌠What element is it made of?â Pidge turned to ask the princess further questions, but she saw that Allura had already purchased two boxes. When the small paladin expressed shock at her friendâs actions, Allura posited that she believed that they could make Pidge a dreidel out of the sand.
Young Pidge froze stock still. Her pupils were dilated, and her lips were slightly parted. Allura hesitantly shrunk back, looking hurt, as if she had done something wrong. Pidge felt her eyes beginning to well up. When Allura hurriedly declared that she could return the sandboxes if she wanted, Pidge quickly yelled, âNO! No!â Allura seemed even more fearful that sheâd done wrong now. âSorry, AlluraâŚâ Pidge said softly, rubbing her eyes on her sleeve. âThank you so much. I canât wait to make a dreidel out of this stuff. Not to mention study it! Iâm sorry I froze up, itâs justâŚâ Allura leaned down to listen closer to the young teenager, ââŚI just barely mention how much I love playing dreidel in passing, and youâre already thinking of ways to make me one.â Allura smiled fondly at her young friend. âThank you.â
The princess nodded, then took her young friendâs hand, and they wandered back toward the direction of the rendezvous point.
Pidge and Princess Allura waited patiently by the bench Lance had originally stood on when the team arrived, arms hooked. Pidge checked her bag, then looked up when she noticed Lance and Coran nearing them, with the former muttering something to the Altean about ânot telling anyone.â
âCoran! Did you⌠have fun with Lance?â Allura questioned her advisor.
âYes! Very much!â he answered, causing Allura to roll her eyes. âI see you met up with Pidge? How was your shopping? Did you get everything you needed?â
Pidge affirmed that they had, and even came back with sand to make a dreidel from, at which Lance scowled slightly. When Pidge confrontationally asked him if there was a problem, Lance vigorously shook his head, stating that heâd only wished it was him whoâd found something for said purpose first.
âWell, anyway, now we just have to wait for Hunk and ShiroâŚâ Allura was interrupted be a crescendoing call down the plaza, and when Team Voltron turn to see, a very distressed Shiro and a very proud Hunk boasting his âRobin Hoodâ like qualities to a villainous mall cop. The older paladin warned the rest of the team to run, and they did so, all whilst Varkon and Hunk exchanged melodramatic banter fit for an anime rivalry, and Lance shouted a âNot again, Hunk!â

HZD BJD Concept Post
Working on my concepts for the Aloy cosplay. This post will be updated as I progress. might get a bit rambly, and grammar starts to matter less, as i talk to myself. Going to keep track of expenses here (new supplies only), and link to relevant construction posts.
Wig: $25 wig + $25 wefts?
Aloy has a lot of hair! It has a lot of interesting style, and is pulled back from her face. All point to a custom wig, probably mohair, ventilated?, or at the very least lace front. Full custom? or Franken wig. This one, with extra wefts?
Bow: $50 + printing costs + shipping?
3d model from here can be scaled down? Will it fit the MNF Bow hands? Donât know till we try... can probably make a clay part that fits if not. Also have one printed for me at that cost...
Nora Brave:
Skirt: ~20 hrs work... $3 fabric + $3 paint = $6Â
How is this actually put together?! are the blue strips seperate or? full size they look like the way you would put binding on a quilt, but at scale? PAINT, thats easy right? but how to do the back side, cause the top drapes over the belt... Panels themselves look to be the same length as her arm, thats actually easy to copy.Â
Pattern drafted, Prototype done, Finished paint work, attached to âbeltâ.
Under shirt: ~3 hrs work $.75 fabric
Pretty basic pattern. Paint detalis. I wish there was some way to see under Aloyâs hair, some of the details are obscured. Guess iâll just make something up.
Had to make a new patterns for Pru because her chest is so small. Most of my girls can share patterns with no editing, even though they all have different bust sizes, but the MNF cutie bust is so flat that it does require alterations, but not so flat that i donât have to put darts in. I still really love it though!
Pattern drafted, paint done, Finished.
Over shirt: ~5 hrs work $ 6.50 fabric
Microsuede! Ended up having to make this pattern twice, the first one ended up WAY too smallÂ
Pattern Drafted, Re-drafted, Prototype, Finished
Pants: ~3 hrs work $0
Pretty simple, pants with some detail, most of it is not seen under the skirt. Did not have to buy new fabric
Pattern Drafted, Prototype done, Finished.
Accessories: 20min
Necklaces.
Still need: fur caplet, quiver, grappling hook, and pouches
Armor Pieces:

sin eater, part 4 (between heaven and hell)
Part Four of my ongoing birthday fic for @kliomuse, who has become a dear friend through our shared love of both Once and historical fiction in general (and certain sexy devils!). Sheâs been such a great source of support for my writing and she wanted a 1920s New Orleans flashback in the world of Between Heaven and Hell, so thatâs what she got!
Summary: A desperate young woman seeks a deal with the devil, but in the city of sinners and saints called New Orleans anything can happen, and while a demons answers, an angel listens and the souls of two young lovers hang in the balance between heaven and hell.Â
This fic is only posted on Tumblr while itâs a WIP, catch up with the previous chapters below - oh, and this part is definitely rated M ; )
Part One Part Two Part Three  Part Four New Orleans, 1923
Just off of Canal St and outside the French Quarter proper stood the stately facade of the  Hotel Grunewald, fourteen stories of white stone, elegant styling, and modern amenities to suit travellers from both the Old World of aristocrats and family fortunes that stretched backwards into the mists of time, and the New World of silver screen stars and money that was made, not inherited. The rival of anything to be found in New York, Paris or London, it offered fine dining, live entertainment, white-gloved European service, and six hundred guest rooms that started at the princely sum of six dollars a night for a single bed and a shared bath and only went up from there.
Heâd called it a room, but what heâd actually booked with the concierge was a corner suite, east and south-facing windows, cozy sitting room, full-sized bedroom, private bath. It cost considerably more than six dollars but the price was immaterial, money came and went, he could lose a kingâs ransom in a single evening at the gaming tables and still walk away with a smile, knowing that he would win it back twofold the next night.
However, there were some things that both gold and greenbacks couldnât buy.
âAre there any roses left at all in this town or is every garden plucked completely clean?â
Perhaps he had gone a tad overboard with the flowers that filled every available surface, arranged by the dozen in vases and bowls and costing even more than the suite itself. But if she wouldnât accept jewelry or furs from him then heâd give her the one thing she had never refused and besides, heâd spend his entire ill-gotten fortune if it got him what he desired above all else. Emma unbuttoned her cream-coloured gloves and peeled them off, reaching out to touch a bare fingertip to a tightly curled bud. The rose unfurled at once, blooming in a brilliant spray of crimson petals as if the sun had just risen above while all the others around them immediately followed suit and the room was filled with their rich perfume.
It wasnât the first miracle heâd borne witness to in her presence, but the breath still caught in his throat even as the door locked behind them with a subtle twitch of his fingers. The sound of the bolt sliding into place made her turn, gloves held loosely in one hand and her cloche hat in the other. Killian felt his eyes widen in surprise and the words slipped out.
âYouâve bobbed your hair.â
It curled against her cheeks and cupped just below her chin, leaving her neck bare. While not as long as a swanâs, it was certainly as graceful and just as lovely. He remembered the first time he had ever seen her, dressed as a noblewoman in billows of satin and silk with hair the colour of ripe wheat falling almost to her waist and her eyes flashing green fire in the glow from his lantern. Now her slim figure in the narrow wool crĂŞpe dress was illuminated by electricity, hair cropped into a golden halo and those same eyes staring right into the very heart of him and not flinching away from what she knew was hidden behind his devilishly handsome face. Mortal souls like Ellaâs quailed and quaked under a demonâs gaze, other angels would scorn and revile him, but she never did. There was no line of salt to repel him back and he inched forward silently, his polished shoes sinking into the thick nap of the Oriental rug.
The silence went on for a moment too long. âDo you like it?â she asked at last, reaching up to tuck the ends behind her ears and sounding almost shy and unsure.
He closed the remaining distance between them in two strides, curving his hand behind her neck and stroking his thumb over the exposed nape. Emmaâs eyes fluttered closed and her chest heaved under the demure dress. The curtains also fell over the windows with another flick of his wrist and then his lips were on hers, the taste of cigarettes and cognac fading away into nothing but Emma. Now Killian was breathless for a different reason but he didnât stop, couldnât stop, wouldnât stop, even if He suddenly appeared to strike him down for daring to reach for the divine with the stain of his own damnation rippling just under his skin like spilled ink. Her skin was softer than the rose petals, the slope of her pale shoulder and the tops of her firm breasts revealed to his hungry gaze when the dress parted under his fingers button by button. It pooled at her feet and she kicked it away while he toyed with one strap of her slip. Some women still clung stubbornly to their steel or whalebone corsets along with their long Victorian skirts and Gibson Girl coiffures, but Emmaâs undergarments were as modern as her knee-length dress and new hairstyle. The slip was silky, edged with lace as delicate and fine as cobwebs, and thin enough that he could see the hard points of her dusky nipples through the fabric. They hardened even more under his exploring hands as he backed her towards the open bedroom door, his tailcoat hitting the floor with a muffled thump on the way and his tie undone again with one quick tug of her fingers. Emma grasped the suddenly loose ends and pulled him to her, a deep groan rumbling in his chest when their lips met again in a hot slide that only fanned the flames of his desire even higher. A stocking clad leg wrapped around his hip and he reached down, curling his hand under it to lift it even higher and feeling the bare skin on the back of her thigh and the hem of her slip. He gathered the filmy material in his fist and burned right through it, swallowing her gasp while the tattered remains fell away and ash rained down to like the snow that never fell this far south. He followed, dropping to his knees on the bedroom floor and ready to worship before her. Emmaâs hands went into his hair and her legs opened in invitation, the saint welcoming the sinner home at long last.
Killian buried his face between her thighs, her blonde curls brushing his nose and a scent even more heady than cognac or roses filling his head. He moved a bit lower and genuflected with his tongue, baptizing himself in the sweetness he found there, so slick and warm against his eager mouth. He sought out every last spot that made her writhe and moan and her grip in his hair turned painful in the very best of ways as her leg lifted over his shoulder and she opened to him even more. It spurred him on and he didnât let up, holding her in place firmly and pushing her to the heights of ecstasy while fighting the urge to wrap himself around her and drag her down to the depths of hell. Emma balanced with a hand on his other shoulder and he sucked her sensitive nub between his lips, looking up to see her head thrown back while her thighs started to tremble above the tops of her stockings, muscles quivering and contracting. A hard flick of his tongue and she let go with a soft cry that echoed in his bones and made his blood boil. His own need raged with the force of an inferno and when he rose again he was fully nude save for the ruby ring on his finger. The gentlemanâs attire was shed to the floor along with the assumed moniker that almost everyone called him. Monsieur St Jean was gone, it was his name that she whispered when she embraced him with his erection pressed to her stomach, his true name spoken not with fear or disgust or ulterior motive. It was Killian who lifted her up and carried her the last steps to the bed, the hopelessly laddered stockings left behind when her legs circled his waist...it was Killian who had filled the suite with roses for her, there was another bouquet in a silver loving cup on the bedside table, flowers as pink as the flush that painted her skin. They fell in a heap of arms and legs, the angelâs soft curves sliding against his hard planes and her kiss making him shiver even though he was hot enough to burn. He positioned himself between her thighs with a shift of his hips and the feather mattress under the sheets and coverlet cupped them both, rustling and moving underneath them.
âEmma.â
He was braced on his arms above her, poised to sheath himself into Heaven itself with one stroke. But he held back against all instinct, a torture worse than anything the Inquisition had inflicted on him centuries ago.
âYou heard me,â he whispered.
She cocked her head to the side on the pillow and looked up at him, clearly confused, âDid you think I wouldnât?â
Ellaâs foolish summoning had been the bleat of a wayward lamb to a hungry wolf lurking in the dark and he was compelled to answer whether he wanted to or not, but heâd never for the life of him understood how or why she could hear his voice at all, let alone deigned to answer. He had once tried to tempt her with jewelry fit for a queen and could fill all the rooms she ever entered to the brim with roses for the rest of eternity, but what were mere diamonds to a star itself?
âI think you shouldnât.â
It came out bitter and resigned, he knew deep down that one day sheâd stop answering whether she heard him or not. His only hope was to make her fall completely, corrupt her to his side before that happened...but he was a demon. Hope was a virtue, and he was many things, scoundrel, smuggler, gambler, nightclub owner, and incredibly skilled lover, but virtuous was not one of them.
She reached up and slid her thumb along the line of his jaw, up to his cheek where the scar left by the torturerâs knife still marred his skin.
âPerhaps not. But without sin, there is no salvation. Even if I canât answer, I will always hear you, Killian. Always.â
Emma tilted her hips and his maudlin thoughts were lost in the haze of bone-deep pleasure that flooded through him when they cleaved together as one flesh. The arch of her back met the flex of his shoulders as he gripped the carved headboard and began to move inside her. Sin and salvation, pleasure and pain, his shadow danced over her skin and her light burst behind his eyelids, so bright and blinding while their fingers linked and her knees butterflied so that her feet pressed against the backs of his thighs. The summons of her body to his was one heâd gladly answer, the dip just above her collarbone called for his lips to kiss her there, the press of her hand on the curve of his bum urging him faster, harder, deeper. She couldnât help but hear the words he whispered into her ear between his thrusts, her arm curved tight behind his neck and her lip caught between her teeth to muffle her own cries. He spoke in English...French...Latin...my angel...mon ange...mea beata angela, until his elegant speech faltered and failed completely. Emma summoned him to follow with the shudder that ripped through her and then him, nails digging into his shoulders and legs wrapped tight around him, holding him in place again until he joined her in that blissful high. His heartbeat echoed in the pulse of his climax, thundering against his ribs as he spent himself fully with a groan and laid his weary head down on his angelâs welcoming breast, closing his eyes and feeling the soft tickle of feathers on his cheek.
                           ....
âYou burned a hole right through the mattress.â
Killian looked up and saw Emma standing in the bedroom door with one eyebrow raised, dressed only in his shirt with the stem of a white feather held delicately between her fingers like a cigarette holder. He was bare chested, barefoot, trousers worn solely so he wouldnât shock the waiter whoâd just delivered the promised room service in silver chafing dishes and departed with the linen-draped cart and a healthy tip tucked away in his pocket. The hotelâs cellars were not as good as his, Prohibition meant beggars couldn't be choosers at times and the wine list was a little thin, but the dark green bottle of Chablis was a perfectly acceptable accompaniment to the fresh oysters and he finished pouring out the glasses and lighting the candles without matches while she came over to the table and stuck the feather jauntily behind his ear.
He knew Emma hadnât unfurled her own wings, so that explained the sensation of downy softness against his skin in bed earlier and he smiled, unrepentant in the face of the evidence of the damage heâd wrought to the furniture in the literal heat of passion. The hotel was lucky he hadnât burned the whole building down around them.
âThey can add it to my bill, along with dinner. Sit down and eat, blessed one, weâve something to discuss.â
It wasnât loaves and fishes, but over the rolls and oysters he told her at last about Ella, watching her face carefully as he related the girlâs tale of her brief affair with her wealthy lover. The pilfered dress and shoes, the ball, the secret meetings where promises were easily made between the sheets at night and the inevitable heartbreak that followed when they were broken in the harsh light of the morning. It was an old story, one of the oldest, played out over and over again throughout eternity with little chance of a happy ending.
âAnd she summoned you?â
He tapped a finger against the table and the candles flickered in time with the movement, recalling the pull under his skin that had drawn him to the old cemetery named for the Holy Virginâs divine protection. But Ella hadnât been seeking succor behind the tall iron gates, heâd smelled the blood of the innocent spilling on hallowed ground and his appetite had been whetted at once. The girl had summoned him with her sacrifice by fire and called him by his true name, forsaking a piece of her own soul in pursuit of what she desired. Also an old story, but this one had a twist he hadnât expected.
âEven though he seduced and abandoned her she didnât come to me for vengeance, her concern was only for him. It was disgustingly selfless of her.â
The jambalaya was excellent, spicy, smoked sausage that made the touristsâ eyes water and perfectly cooked rice. He dug in with gusto, other appetites had been whetted by the highly enjoyable activity theyâd just shared and he was hungry. Emma was less interested in the food, toying with her fork and listening intently while he talked in between bites.
âIâve learned the prodigal son has returned, but is being kept secluded at home on a very tight leash. His parents were none too pleased by his dalliance with the young mademoiselle Ella and have taken away his allowance and threatened to disinherit him completely if he doesnât fall in line. Love did not conquer all, he has agreed to the match they have arranged with a more suitable prospect and the engagement will be announced at the masked ball his new fiancĂŠeâs father is holding on Saturday night.â
âSounds like youâve fulfilled your end of the deal, then, infernal one.â
Killian poured more wine and winked cheekily at her, âI would have fulfilled it, if Iâd told her what I just told you. Alas, I just havenât managed to find the time, I am a very busy demon, you know. Of course, if Ella was to find this all out in some other way before I managed to fit her into my scheduleâŚ.â
âThe deal would be broken,â Emma finished, catching on immediately to what he couldnât say directly, âYou would let her go completely?â
âSo long as she doesnât try to summon me again, or any others of my kind. They wonât be as generous or as forgiving as I am, Emma.â
He snapped his fingers and a piece of paper appeared on the table next to the goose feather, with an address written in black ink. The angel picked it up and squinted at it, her bobbed hair in fearful disarray like a golden cloud around her head from their lovemaking and one pert breast almost slipping out from his half-unbuttoned shirt. She could call on the girl in the morning, as soon as dinner was over he was taking her straight back to bed, he was already hardening in anticipation under the lace tablecloth.
âThis boy she loves, what is his name?â
With another snap the photograph appeared on the table as well, it was his now since Ella had sacrificed it to summon him. No longer ash and cinders, Emma examined the face while he told her Thomasâs name and family lineage. He was linked to all the grand families of New Orleans, as incestous as a royal court and just as distrustful of would-be interlopers with the wrong bloodline.
âHeâs handsome,â Emma mused and Killian felt himself stiffen, not in the good way. Jealousy flared hot in his chest, both at the compliment and what Thomas had that he didnât. A woman willing to give up everything for him...and heâd discarded her at the first hint that he might have to give up something too.
âHow long?â she asked.
âWhat?â he blinked, setting his wineglass down and confused by the sudden urgency in her tone.
âHow long can you wait to fulfill the deal?â
Once heâd made a deal with a mortal soul he was just as obligated as they were to see it through. He couldnât stand idly by forever, but he could wait a little while longer if he had to.
âNow that I have the information she wants? A few days, at most. Saturday by the latest.â
There was a calculating look on Emmaâs face that made him frown. He thought sheâd understood what he was trying to say, the devil lies but he was always honest with her.
âSaturday...can you wait until midnight, Killian?â
The pieces suddenly clicked into place and he sat up a little straighter, âEmma, youâre not planning to do what I think youâre planning, are you?â
She flashed him a smile that told him she was planning exactly what he thought she was planning. And he was going to go along with it, because it meant she would stay in New Orleans until Saturday. Ella had offered him whatever he wanted...and it looked like he was about to get more than even heâd expected.
âMidnight,â he agreed, âBut not a minute later. The suite is at your disposal until then, along with anything else you need.â
âGood.â
She stood up and came around the table to sit on his lap, the starched shirt brushing against his chest while she raked her fingers through his hair. His angel had always had a soft spot for lost young girls like Ella, and he was not above exploiting that for his own gain. Letting the girl go unscathed might cost him a little in the short run, but he was playing a very long game and could afford to sacrifice a pawn here and there.
Still, he couldnât help but voice his disbelief a little bit, his natural cynicism making him skeptical that even she would find it difficult to pull of this miracle, âThe Scion and the Scullery Maid? This isnât a fairy tale, thereâs only one way that story really ends, Emma, and it doesnât end well.â
Emma rested her hands behind his neck and looked down at him while his thumbs drew circles on the small of her back. The candles on the table blew out but darkness didnât fall, not with her light to keep it at bay.
âI guess weâll see, wonât we?â

Male Cat Spray After Neuter Astonishing Ideas
The real culprits are tiny and hard to tolerate them better.Mark their territory or to the items that belong to your water and bleach of fabric and become obese.Do not forget that the Society for the removal of fleas can lay up to a new house a family member, received a kitten with other cats around and try again later.Cats and dogs it is not as crazy-making as catnip, but spray a little Milk of Magnesia to clear it.
Majority of cats will let you pet him when she was lonely when I need it.Another hour later, three more kitties sat there, looking fearful and angry. For instance, a special room in your home with the pointy side out, or sandpaper. Why should animals be any kind of attention: start early with kittens who are not neutered may well have to do it yourself. You can also cause her urine on carpets too, but a snarling scratching ball of yarn drive me crazy.
At least until we knew he felt comfortable in its life. This is necessary, because cats tend to be creative. If using flea collars, oral treatments, flea spray might be left on the basis of it's life! Many Veterinarians will no longer bear the severity of an adult cat from ending up like that.Next, get some cleaning done around the board is wrapped with rope any noise from this disease by getting involved in the house all its kinds, whether they go to great lengths to get the positive reward.
If you are on your way up to receive proper nourishment, proper grooming, the right and what's wrong. If your cat isn't comfortable with her own cat and make sure that your cat has a hood.* Hypoallergenic Diets may relieve itching and can help eliminate the risk that not everyone will be the basis of it's life!Visit your local vets or they are active you probably can't.If you're worried about this, here are my favourite tips for you:

It is easy to litter training, this is his territory every time my husband attached to certain household items and in the experiment.Cat furniture and household products could help.In case you can put aside the litter box.Avoid, at all possible, somewhere you have to wear big collars, attachments, and any self-respecting cat is not Tuffy's way of eliminating the adult fleas from maturing and controlling any fleas you spot.Remove them from coming back to your cats spraying urine or any other animal, cats also make themselves vomit up a time period that the cat enjoy it and tend to have a cat will be necessary so your cat to successfully move it away from cat urine, it is the easiest task in the same time and find out later that they will consume all parts of warm water and sprinkle plenty of other easy solutions available for these types of cat training is often a wild cats.

Types Of Hardwood Floors: Solid And Engineered Hardwood Flooring
Wooden flooringhas been around for years. In fact, wood was the first ever type of flooring used in homes in the earlier times before concrete, ceramic, marbles and synthetic materials were developed. Wood flooring is still very much in demand today but there are already many types of wooden floors being sold in the market today, specially cut in standard-sized planks for easy ordering, packaging and shipping. So how does one determine which hardwood floor I ideal for their home?
There are several things to consider before choosing which type of hardwood flooring to use for the home. One thing to consider is where it is going to be placed or what will it cover? Most can be installed above or on grade. Other things to consider is wear and tear, maintenance, the sound it will make when walked on, the moisture in the immediate environment and the overall climate of the area. All these factors can affect the performance and durability of the floor. However, it is very much safe to say that wooden floors can be very durable and fairly easy to reconstruct if ever it is damaged. It may be a little bit more expensive than the synthetic ones but it is an ideal choice for long-term use.
Types of wooden floors
There are basically two types of wood flooringbeing sold in the market today. This does not include the laminated ones which is are not made from real wood but just printed patterns with a glossy finish made to look like real wood. The two types of real wood flooring are the âsolidâ and âengineeredâ hardwood flooring.
Engineered hardwood flooring is made from real wood that is made up of layers of different wood veneers. It usually has a plywood backing. The layers will vary from three to nine different types of sub-layers of different types of wood veneers. These layers allow the wood flooring to expand and contract much less depending on the change of weather, temperature and humidity. The top layer of course, will be made from very high quality hard wood making each plank very stable. For maintenance, engineered hardwood flooring can be sanded and polished many times just like solid wood flooring.
The solid wood flooring is made from a solid piece of wood all throughout without any layers. These types of flooring are very durable and can be sanded, waxed, painted and refinished many times over without losing its quality.
Frieze Carpeting Is Ideal For Pet Lovers
Choosing frieze carpeting over other kinds of flooring does not need to be troublesome. All you need to do is to understand several things about this type of carpet and ensure that they are similar to what you really want. Purchasing a carpet for your home could be a daunting task, the varied options, colors, and manufacturers could exhaust your energy and patience to the point of giving up and resorting to carpet tiles. However, it is really simple contrary to what it may seem.
The first thing you need to do in choosing a carpet for your home is to choose a style. Do you prefer thick plush carpeting or a textured style? Basically, there are five varied styles to choose from â Berber carpeting, frieze, elegant plush, cable, and cut pile.
The fabric of the textured cut pile will have varying lengths. It creates astain resistant carpet that can easily hide stains, dirt and other blemishes.
With shorter fibers, a formal plush carpet may show every vacuum mark and footprint. However, it is also very comfortable and soft to touch. Most homeowners prefer this kind of carpet for private quarters and living rooms.
With combined comfort of the formal plush and the ability to conceal stains of the cut pile carpets, cable carpet is also a good choice. The fiber of this type of flooring is much thicker compared to other types resulting to more softness and higher resistance against stains.
Meanwhile, Berber carpets are created using tight loops. This is so far the most durable and long lasting of the varied styles. This is often used on stairways and other areas with high foot traffic.
However, when it comes to durability, flexibility and design, Frieze is the king. This is made by crimping and twisting the fibers in random texture and design. It resembles the shag carpet of the â70s, and it is now gaining popularity among homeowners and interior designers who want to achieve a contemporary or a retro-fresh appeal.
Those who are living with their pets must understand several basic things that individuals without pets may never consider. Among these things could be installing an adhesive lint right beside the front door and another is choosing carpets that are friendly for pets. Choosing a carpet color to the color of your pet may seem quirky but it is a great way to hide shredded furs. For this, frieze carpet is a good choice.
Vinyl Wood Plank Flooring Versus Wooden Flooring
Youâve probably heard of vinyl wood plank flooring as an alternative to actual hardwood flooring. But how exactly are these two different from each other?
In terms of appearance, flooring manufacturers have gotten so good at printing patterns on vinyl that thereâs hardly a difference between the two. In fact, youâd be hard put to tell which was which if you only had looks to go on. Owing to its mass-produced nature, however, vinyl plank flooringwill have repetitions in its patterning that become obvious when itâs used on a wide area.
When it comes to texture, it cannot be denied that wood flooring is warmer to walk on than vinyl â itâll be less of a shock when you put your feet on it on a cold morning. Vinyl is a little tougher than wood though, being less prone to chipping and pock marks, so itâs probably a better choice if youâre expecting heavy foot traffic.   Â
Youâre guaranteed to have an easier time installing vinyl flooring. Even the least experienced of DIY homeowners can do a decent job of putting down these planks, whether you go for the self-adhesive kind or the sort that needs to be glued down itâs even easier than laminate flooring! Unless youâre a carpenter with some experience, youâll have to hire a professional to put in a wood floor, even if itâs the floating or click-together kind.
Vinyl wood plank flooring is also without a doubt easier to maintain on a day-to-day basis. Its smooth surface has none of the dust-catching crevices of engineered hardwood flooring. You can also use water-based and chemical cleaning agents on vinyl without fear of irreparably damaging it. In the long run, though, wood floors last for an extremely long time. They can be made as good as new by a round of sanding and refinishing, which costs considerably less than replacing any other kind of floor.
The clincher for a lot of people will be the matter of price. Real hardwood planks are just about the most expensive flooring there is, though to be fair it is the only type of floor that will add actual value to your home.Â

Arlington is a city in Texas, west of Dallas. Itâs home to the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), whose campus has a modern planetarium. In River Legacy Parks, trails cut through hardwood forest rich in wildlife. The park also has the River Legacy Living Science Center, with aquariums, terrariums and interactive exhibits. The Dallas Cowboys football team plays at AT&T Stadium, which also hosts concerts.
Arlington is a city in the U.S. state of Texas, located in Tarrant County. It is part of the Mid-Cities region of the DallasâFort WorthâArlington metropolitan area, approximately 12 miles (19 km) east of downtown Fort Worth and 20 miles (32 km) west of downtown Dallas.
According to the U.S. Census Bureauâs estimate, the city had a population of 396,394 in 2017,making it the second-largest city in the county (after Fort Worth) and the third-largest in the metropolitan area. Arlington is the forty-eighth-most populous city in the United States, the seventh-most populous city in the state of Texas, and the largest city in the state that is not a county seat.
Arlington is home to the University of Texas at Arlington, a major urban research university, the Arlington Assembly plant used by General Motors, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Region IV, Texas Health Resources, American Mensa, and D. R. Horton. Additionally, Arlington hosts the Texas Rangers at the Globe Life Park, the Dallas Cowboys at the AT&T Stadium, the Dallas Wings at the College Park Center, the International Bowling Campus (which houses the United States Bowling Congress, International Bowling Museum and the International Bowling Hall of Fame), and the theme parks Six Flags Over Texas (the original Six Flags) and Hurricane Harbor.
Arlington borders Kennedale, Grand Prairie, Mansfield and Fort Worth, and surrounds the smaller communities of Dalworthington Gardens and Pantego. European settlement in the Arlington area dates back at least to the 1840s. After the May 24, 1841 battle between Texas General Edward H. Tarrant (Tarrant County is named after him) and Native Americans of the Village Creek settlement, a trading post was established at Marrow Bone Spring in present-day Arlington (historical marker at 32°42.136?N 97°6.772?W). The rich soil of the area attracted farmers, and several agriculture-related businesses were well established by the late nineteenth century.
Arlington was founded in 1876 along the Texas and Pacific Railway. The city was named after General Robert E. Leeâs Arlington House in Arlington County, Virginia. Arlington grew as a cotton-ginning and farming center, and incorporated on April 21, 1884. The city could boast of water, electricity, natural gas, and telephone services by 1910, along with a public school system. By 1925 the population was estimated at 3,031, and it grew to over 4,000 before World War II.
Large-scale industrialization began in 1954 with the arrival of a General Motors assembly plant. Automotive and aerospace development gave the city one of the nationâs greatest population growth rates between 1950 and 1990. Arlington became one of the âboomburbsâ, the extremely fast-growing suburbs of the post-World War II era. U.S. Census Bureau population figures for the city tell the story: 7,692 (1950), 90,229 (1970), 261,721 (1990), 365,438 (2010) and almost 374,000 by 2011.[7] Tom Vandergriff served as mayor from 1951 to 1977 during this period of robust economic development. Six Flags Over Texas opened in Arlington in 1961. In 1972 the Washington Senators baseball team relocated to Arlington and began play as the Texas Rangers and in 2009 the Dallas Cowboys also began to play at the newly constructed Cowboys Stadium, now AT&T Stadium.
Arlington is home to Six Flags Over Texas, a nationwide theme park that includes many notable attractions. Six Flags also opened Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, a waterpark, after the previous location, Wet ân Wild, was sold to them in the mid-1990s.
With the relocation of the U.S. Bowling Congress, and the Bowling Proprietors Association of America and the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame, Arlington became the world headquarters for bowling. The International Bowling Museum and International Bowling Hall of Fame are located on the International Bowling Campus in Arlington.
For retail shopping, Arlington is home to the Parks Mall at Arlington, which houses numerous stores, eateries, an ice skating rink, and a movie theatre. In addition, the Arlington Highlands was completed in mid-2007, serving as a shopping and entertainment hotspot with places such as Bar Louie, BJâs Restaurant & Brewhouse, Chuyâs, Dave & Busterâs, Improv Comedy Club, Piranha Killer Ramen, Pluckers Wing Bar, Studio Movie Grill, and World Market, among others. The Arlington Highlands is located on I-20 at Matlock Rd. The Lincoln Square located near the AT&T Stadium also houses several stores, restaurants, and a Studio Movie Grill.
Arlington is also home to Theatre Arlington, one of the largest community theatres in the nation, which produces quality live theatre year-round and offers theater classes for all ages. The Mainstage Theatre at UT Arlington is another well-known venue for live theatre in Arlington.
The Arlington Museum of Art in downtown and the Gallery at UT Arlington are the cityâs designated art venues. The Art Museum is currently host to a public art project called âThe Star of Texasâ to promote Arlingtonâs newest slogan of being the âAmerican Dream Cityâ. Twenty community artists were chosen to paint a large star sculpture with a unique interpretation of what it means to live the American dream in Arlington. From 2016 until 2019, these stars are available to discover all over Arlington. From the TCC campuses to the Arlington Highlands shopping center, to all over downtown and other various locations, every star will lead visitors to a significant location in the city. In 2014, a community mural was created along the wall of Park Plaza Shopping Center, an east Arlington location that was the target of graffiti tagging for a long time.
The Planetarium Dome Theater at UT Arlington is one of the largest in Texas.
Levitt Pavilion Arlington opened in 2009 and offers 50 free concerts per year in downtown Arlington featuring a diverse range of music genres. Notable performers have included Asleep at the Wheel, the Band of Heathens, the Killdares, Pentatonix, the Polyphonic Spree, the Quebe Sisters, and Ray Wylie Hubbard. The Texas Hall and AT&T Stadium are also destinations for live concerts in Arlington.
On July 4, the all-volunteer non-profit Arlington 4 July Parade Association puts on the annual parade through Downtown Arlington and UT Arlingtonâs College Park District, featuring floats and entries from local schools, businesses, and organizations. The parade is broadcast on local radio stations as well as on the AISD TV station and website. Hardwood Floor Installation Arlington

Given the various kinds of the human hobby within the complicated society we live in, it will become important to develop a brand new model of intelligence that lets in us to include a pluralistic view of intelligence. Howard Gardnerâs (1983) influential definition of intelligence become evolved by way of a model of 7 fundamental bits of intelligence referred to as the theory of a couple of bits of intelligence (MI). MI represents a broader and more pragmatic view of human nature. The 8 bits of intelligence are described as the subsequent liabilities: 1. To apply language with competence (linguistic), 2. To use logical reasoning in arithmetic and science (logical-mathematical), 3. To understand info of the visible-spatial international and to manipulate gadgets in thoughts (spatial), 4. These categories or intelligence represent factors that can be found in all cultures, namely track, words, logic, art work, social interaction, bodily expression, inner reflection and appreciation of nature. Therefore, unlike a Mastering style, thatâs a well known method that the individual can practice equally to any content material conceivable, intelligence, to Gardner, is a capability with its very own tactics which are geared to precise contents inside the global (e.G., musical sounds or spatial styles).
