#The Dragon of Ynys#aroaessidhe 2023 reads#aroace books#this is cute and fun!#SNAP!!!!! a good dragon#will note: put this one off because I remember discussions about how the narrative being incited by discussions around a trans character#being iffy; putting burden on trans characters and having cis character going off to try magically cure transphobia being a bit weird#this was republished a couple years ago fixing a bunch of that - it’s still kinda there but I believe a lot better handled?#(I can't actually compare; but I had looked at that review & can see what they mean but also felt like there was nuance in this version#I wanna say I think the bit at the end when another character tells the MC that there’s a word for aromanticism she read in a book might#have been added as well#i also only fuckign Got the concept of the giant spiders with their magical ‘web’ that disseminates information during the epilogue sjhgkfd
