Did you ever used to make cookies, cakes or pie with your grandma? I don't recall ever doing so, but I do have pleasant holiday memories of baking with my mom.

Do you burn incense? I used to love burning incense when I was younger. Something about the smell and the gently curling smoke was so entrancing to me. I don't enjoy it now, though. It's just too…saturating…?

Do you smoke weed? Not anymore. I smoked for years and built up a tolerance to the point where I wasn't even really getting high anymore, quit for a while and went back to it, but then it just made me extremely dizzy. I think the last time I smoked was in 2021.

Have you actually been through a devastating natural disaster before? I haven't.

What fast food place, in your opinion, has the best french fries? I favored BK's fries back when they were thin and crispy. Nowadays, I'd go with Carl's Jr. or McDonald's.

Do you believe one day aliens might take over Planet Earth? I suppose it's possible, but it's not something that I consider to be particularly likely.

Do you like soda pop? If so, which is your favorite and least favorite? I don't drink it very often at all, but I do get a small Diet Coke whenever I go to the theaters with my mom.

Does it bother you when people burp around you or do you do it too? I can't burp. Not on command, anyway, and even when one does unexpectedly slip out, it's not very loud. I don't really care if other people burp around me as long as they aren't being completely obnoxious about it.

When is the next time you’ll talk to the cousin you’re closest to? I'm not close with any of my cousins. I haven't even seen them since I was a child.

When was the last time you saw a bird? What kind of bird was this? Most likely some seagulls above the grocery store parking lot. Or geese - there are a lot of them flying overhead this time of year.

How old were you when you had the chicken pox? I was pretty young, so young that I don't even recall the experience, so maybe 2-3 years old.

Ever had a friend named Alex or John? I had a friend named Jon when I was in high school. Met him while playing in Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments at local card shops.

What’s your favorite thing to eat for breakfast? I normally eat oatmeal with various toppings, but my stomach has been acting up these past few weeks. On animal shelter days, I've been sticking to saltines with peanut butter and that seems to settle just fine. Also, even though I don't have these things very often, I enjoy breakfast skillets, egg and cheese McMuffins, pancakes, pierogi…

Do you think it’s right for straight guys to get their tongue pierced? I don't see why it wouldn't be alright.

Have you ever thought about getting your nose pierced? Not seriously, but if I was going to get another piercing, then it would probably be one of my nostrils.

Would you ever donate blood? I thought this was the case but I just looked up the requirements to be sure, and I don't weigh enough to be able to donate. Maybe in the future. Who knows. It certainly wouldn't bother me.

Have you ever driven without a license? Yeah. In a parking lot with my mom. Then down part of an empty street with one of my past partners. I got freaked out because his wheel kept pulling to one side and I didn't know how to properly compensate for it.

Are you ticklish? I don't know…it's been years since anyone has tried to tickle me. Makes me think of that post that says something like, "One day your parents picked you up and put you down for the last time."

What are you listening to? Traditional choir Christmas carols.

Describe the main problem with your last relationship? I was dealing with unresolved trauma and mental illness. That's not to say things would have turned out much differently if I had been healthy. I don't think we were compatible. We tried multiple times to make things work, but I think we wanted vastly different things from a relationship / romantic partner.

What’s on your shower curtain? It's just an abstract pattern of pale grays and white.

What cartoon/anime character can you most relate to? I don't strongly relate to any of them at this point, but as a teenager I would have said Mitarai Kiyoshi from Yu Yu Hakusho.

Do you like turtleneck sweaters/shirts? They are cute, but just the thought of wearing something that high up on my neck makes me want to gag / feel like I'm overheating.

Do you find hands attractive? They can be. Mostly in art. I don't think I've ever found anyone's hands "attractive" IRL.

Do you think it is silly to give names to vehicles, or other inanimate objects? Even if it was silly, it's a harmless sort of silly.

Is there a hair color/style you really like but don’t think you could pull off? Mmm, I actually think I could pull off the styles I like the most.

If your mom was a teacher, would you want to be in her class? My mom might make a decent pre-school or kindergarten teacher. She seems to have a soft spot for younger children that brings out her tender side.

Would you ever get a pet turtle? Why or why not? Naw. Not my type of pet. I much prefer cats above everything else.

What shop/store/brand would you model for, if given the choice? I can't imagine any store or brand would want me to model for them.

Have you ever witnessed a birth? Not in person. Only on television. Goes for both animals and people.

Have you ever been told you were a good writer? Yeah. I have my moments of "genius," but overall I would say I'm a very average writer. Fine at communicating my thoughts, but not that creatively inclined.

Describe your dream wedding where money is no option. My dream wedding wouldn't even be that expensive. Just something simple, intimate (involving only closest friends and family), and out in nature somewhere. Food would probably be pot-luck / picnic style, so no need for any fancy catering or cake baking services. And I honestly don't give a shit what people wear. Oh no...I actually just thought...what if I had it at Bishop's Castle? That would be amaaazing. Changed my mind. We're getting all medieval and everyone needs to be on-theme.

Do you have a birth mark? Where? Does it look like anything? Yeah. I have a pale reddish splotch on the back of my neck. My mom used to say it looked like the state of Idaho. Clearly, I was assigned potato at birth. ;D

If you were blind for the rest of your life… what would you miss seeing the most? The faces of my loved ones and kitties, beautiful cloud formations, sunrises and sunsets, autumn leaves, artwork, snowfall, holiday decorations, books…ugh. It's not just things I would miss seeing, but things I would miss doing as well. Driving, volunteering, baking, etc. I think becoming blind would plunge me into one heck of a depressive state - one from which I don't think I would recover.

Who do you admire the most? My dad for his ability to be true to himself and to dive deeply into the subjects that interest him. My mom for being strong enough to continue on despite her mental health struggles. My therapist for being damn good at her job and obviously employing the techniques she teaches. Workers at the animal shelter for a variety of reasons. Great writers, musicians, and artists. Backpackers. People who are able to face and overcome their fears.

Who was your hero when you were a child, and what did you do to be like them? I didn't really have any heroes when I was a child.

If you could rid the world of one thing, what would it be? Maybe ignorance…? Let the full unbearable weight of truth and knowledge fall upon us all. ;D

The last piece of roadkill you saw, what kind of animal was it? I'm not sure. I see racoons and skunks fairly often. Sometimes cats. :'(

Who/what is the last thing you kicked? Probably a dog toy. Was out in the "big yard" with a couple of dogs a week or two ago and was kicking a large ball around for them to chase.

Chatted with Riley and Liv about some troubling group dynamics in cattery. The situation isn't the same as when Alex was there, but it's slowly starting to rhyme. Lol, remember when I was so excited about our little team? How supportive we were? How we had each other's backs? I guess that was only true because we had a common "enemy" to unite us. Now that Alex has been gone for a while, new divisions are starting to form. I guess it's just inevitable…? A sad fact of human nature…? Idk. But I miss those fleeting good ol' days when I was full of naive hope.

Went grocery shopping.

Baked some sort of pecan pie for everyone at the animal shelter.

Talked with my mom and set a plan to go out for lunch on Sunday. Cracker Barrel for those Christmas vibes. :')

Saw some baby-baby kittens in ISO.
