Laura over at The Book Corps tagged me to do the 20 Questions book tag. I love these kinds of tags, there such a fun thing to do and a great way to get to know your bookish friends a little better. So if you feel like answering the question below as well go ahead and make sure to link to a specific post of mine so I can get the notification to check it out 😊
1. How many books is too many in a series?
It really depends on the series I think but I think more than 6 is starting to push it. Personally I’m a huge fan of duologies.
2. How do you feel about cliffhangers?
On one hand I hate them because cliffhangers but when done well it gets me excited for the next book.
3. Hardback or paperback?
Paperback for sure! I do buy hardcovers occasionally if I really can’t wait/ want to support the author with a preorder but I definitely prefer paperbacks, they’re so much nice to read.
4. Favourite book?
What kind of a question is this?! That’s such a hard one to answer. A few of my favourites include: The Wicker King by K. Ancrum, A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab, Circe & The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid.
I have plenty more favourites but I do have things to do today
5. Least favourite book?
That’s also kinda of hard because I tend to just not bother if I don’t like a book. But my least favourite I’ve read recently was The Cruel Prince. I mean I still gave it three stars because it was atmospheric and the world was cool but I could not for the life of me get how people shipped Jules and Cardan. He straight up was like ‘I like you and I hate that which is why I treat you shitty’ and I was like you can fuck right off.
6. Love triangles, yes or no?
Generally no. It won’t stop me reading a book but I’m over the ‘two mediocre and borderline abusive white guys posture for the heroine’ kind of love triangles.
7. The most recent book you just couldn’t finish?
The Miseducation of Cameron Post. It’s a good book and Danforth is a great writer but it just wasn’t for me. At 450 odd pages it’s longer than some epic fantasies I’ve read and I just found myself losing interest.
8. A book you’re currently reading?
Furyborn by Claire Legrand, which I am enjoying immensely!
9. Last book you recommended to someone?
Pretty sure it was The Wicker King by K. Ancrum (seriously read it!)
10. Oldest book you’ve read?
When I get around to reading The Picture of Dorian Grey it will have been that but that aside, probably Tomorrow, When the War Began which was published in 1994 (so really not that old).
11. Newest book you’ve read?
The most recent one I’ve finished was Social Intercourse by Greg Howard which was published two days ago!
12. Favourite author?
V.E. Scwab, C.S. Pacat, Trudi Canavan, Madeline Miller, Roan Parrish, Anthony Ryan.
13. Buying books or borrowing?
Both! (That said I am in a position to do both and I think the book community needs to get better about recognising and talking about the privilege and financial barriers that exclude people for not being about to do book hauls/fancy photos/arcs etc)
14. A book you dislike that everyone else seems to love?
Illuminae by Jay Kristoff  and Amie Kaufman. I borrowed it from the library because lots of people were talking about it but I tried a few pages and really couldn’t get into the format.
15. Bookmarks or dog ears?
Bookmarks! Each to their own but I hate folding the pages
16. A book you’ll always reread?
Captive Prince, In the Middle of Somewhere, The Magicians Guild, A Darker Shade of Magic.
17. Can you read while listening to music?
I used to be able to but these days I can’t concentrate on the book if there’s background noise.
18. One POV or multiple POVs?
I like multiple POVs if it’s done well! Godblind by Anna Stephens has at least six and it is seamless and so well done it only adds to the book.
19. Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?
I’ve done both, it really just depends on the book and how much I am enjoying it and how much time I have on my hands.
20. A book you read because of the cover?
Iron Cast by Destiny Soria. Seriously, it’s such a beautiful book (both inside and out!)
Thank you again to Laura for the tag and to everyone for reading! See any favourites? Let me know in the comments below

I was tagged by @aimeespages for the #rapidfirebooktag so I'm giving it a try! Thanks for tagging me! I love being tagged in stuff 🙂 • • 1) eBooks or physical books? I prefer physical books so I can flip ahead. • 2) Heroes or Villains? Hm... heroes with a dark, tortured side? Villains that have a soft side? I prefer neither perfectly good nor terribly bad • 3) Hardbacks or paperbacks? Paperbacks because they're usually cheaper and a lot easier to carry around! • 4) Trilogy or Series? Trilogy, I tend to get bored with more than three books in a series. • 5) Last Book I Read: Garden of Thorns by Amber Mitchell • 6) Last Book I Bought? Preordered A Court of Wings and Ruin and the ACOTAR coloring book by Sarah J. Maas • 7) Second-hand books? Definitely! As long as they're not all marked up • 8) Book everyone must read? A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas (loved it better than the first book) • 9) Book that made you laugh / cry? Laugh: Texas Gothic by Rosemary Clement-Moore Cry: Sharing Sam by Katherine Applegate • 10) First Books that Come to Mind: The Great Hunt, Mayhem, Nevermore, the Stage Dive Series • 11) A film that is better than the book? (Tv show but...) Midsomer Murders. I tried reading one of the books once and couldn't get into it. • 12) Do you judge a book by its cover? Sometimes • • #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagramfeature #bookish #booksofinstagram #booknerd #bookworm #bookdragon #booklover #bookaddict #bookaholic #bookobsessed #bookobsession #bibliophile #booksarelife

This is the kind of photo that I wanna take. I want to work with shadows and natural wood but I wanna add some urban feeling to it. I live like 20 mins from Philly and NYC is about 2 hrs away. So if anyone has any ideas what I could add to add some city like mix in it, dont hesitate! (And ignore the candle that says Will. I know it's a Will candle but I can imagine Ketterdam smelling like Rain and black tea in Wylan's masion) • I was tag by @casualbook_fox to do #5bookishfacts about me! Thanks for tagging me! • 1) I dont mind annotated books as long as it is your own and not my nor the library's copy. Unless you are doing a traveling book! 2) I adore audiobooks! I walk a lot and sometimes reading can be a bit hard (words start to blur). And Six of Crows duology on audio is a GEM. 3) I cant stand stiff paperbacks. Like when you try to open the paperback and if feels like it is necessary to break the spine like...no. 4) I only buy ebooks when i need the nnext book, preorder, or it is cheaper to buy. 5) I prefer paperbacks over hardbacks. I love the naked cover of hardbacks...but they are so heavy. • 5 people I tag: @bookhoarderproblems @abibliophilesbkm @katv19 @thatreadingfaerie @athousandbookstoread
