UGHHHh the MET's doing a degas right now too and i absolutely cant just *go there* without taking a week i dont have off work to plan, trip up there, see shit, trip back, recover, etc etc etc oughhh i hate distances . and money . and work uh excuse me dan dan bossman. you see it is imperative to my ability to function that i get ten days to take the amtrak to nyc so i can look at olympia . and the racecourse . no looking at images of them online is not enough . yes paid vacation

disgustangggggggg the carnegie art museum is twenty five mortal dollars to get in on a day pass and the ERIE art museum which i've been to and it's not that big is ten dollars but i can go to EITHER the butler OR the cleveland and get in free anytime i damn well please rare and infuriating ohio w from the other side of the state line

#the website says a ton of galleries are closed for renos though so . ehhhhhhh #i CAN go to the degas at cleveland though. and cleveland is like the third largest free museum in the country #like really im lucky to live so close by that i can go on a weekend and it's not even a thing i have to recover much from #but my GOD it would be nice to see the met before im thirty #last time i was in ny was like eight years ago and it was a whirlwind thing we didnt even have a chance to see any art #natural history museum and play and then home we spent most of the trip on the train lol #and it was a great trip! i had a great time! it was my first time there and the only stressful parts were the train departures really #otherwise it was walkable and fantastically big . it was like if cities could be forests . not QUITE. but very like it #and i would like to go back . if i wasnt so bad at being Near People Always id completely understand the insatiable pull of The City #that people have for the place. its one of those places with An Energy . but even planning an art museum trip takes more time and enrgy #and money and resources than i'm able to set aside more than once every several years. while planning months in advance #and these days im just not in a planning-in-advance sort of place. because im too anxious to do that for fear that something will disrupt #the plans #also the insomnia #hence only being able to take day trips #but!!! someday!!!!!#ideally in summer .#i would like to see more parks and just walk around more so it would have to be during decent weather #i simply hate pedestrianizing in the winter and i will not do it
