Original caption:
‘Road trip’: as its name suggest, it is the perfect gateway to experiencing nature and landscapes while roaming hundreds of miles with your car or your flowered-van, depending on how much of a 70’s-nostalgic you are! As our airborne NLC research campaign drew to an end in High Level, Alberta with the project PoSSUM (find more information at projectpossum.org) I took two weeks off in Canada to visit some of my friends I made from a few years back, but virtually without any solid plan. Just my car, my cameras and myself.
As a present of my gratitude to the generous and hospitable people that helped me on the go and as a tribute to my journey, I hurried to put together a short film called ‘My Canadian Summer’ that goes back on the adventures of over 5000km on the Canadian roads.
Follow me in the sub-arctic landscapes of the northern Alberta and North West Territories with some very unexpected wildlife and the beautiful city of Yellowknife. It is also the place of the where summer nights never get very dark, and a good opportunity for you to gaze at magnificent noctilucent (night-shining) clouds. When Yellowknife is too far north in the summer, northern Alberta is surprisingly still the spectacle of some gorgeous displays of aurora borealis in the summer twilight: watch them wiggle over a pasture full of horses! As I continued my journey down the eastern British Columbia and on to the Rocky Mountains, take a look at some of the most dramatic and scenic landscapes in the world. After a lot of experience and perseverance, I finally got the magical shot I wanted: aurorae above Pyramid lake next to Jasper and surrounded by the mountains, also photobombing the Big Dipper. It was such a huge reward for having put so much time and effort into the trip! Experience the beauty of Jasper and Banff national parks with a myriad of waterfalls, rivers, lake and peaks as well as an astonishing wildlife.
The film also features some of southern and central Alberta’s most renowned places like Drumheller and its badlands, or a huge storm developing over the prairies. Those are the shots that one can only experience in western Canada during the summer months, and I would highly recommend to travel there, but I believe images speak better than words, so I hope you enjoy this film as much as I enjoyed shooting it.
> Some interesting technical facts:
5000 km 100 km of hiking 2 TB of data collected, including some of my best NLC and aurora shots to date Made detours to visit 6 old friends ‘Slept’ 3 nights in my tiny car just to take the perfect shots Sony a7s, a7rII and Canon 6D, + 9 lenses all packed in my backpack.

17 Ways How to Make Money Online in 2022
A Comprehensive Guide of Legitimate Ways to Make Money (on the Side)
Welcome to the best free lesson on the Internet for making money online if you’re seeking for reliable ways to make money online without having to first pay an in-depth training course (which usually seems to cost $97) about how to make money online.
1. Become an Online News Writer or Columnist
To generate money online as a writer or columnist these days, you don't need a journalism degree. Furthermore, many news websites could always use some assistance in obtaining local coverage. Some, like The Examiner, will pay authors based on the amount of ad income generated each piece written.
2. Buy and Sell Domain Names
Imagine becoming the first owner of Insure.com, which was purchased for $16 million in 2009. While most slam-dunk domains have long been sold off, there are still plenty of others that you can get your hands on for a low price and broker as a way to make money online. However, before you jump in, keep in mind that some experts question the long-term reliability of this method of producing money online. There's always the potential, though, that you'll come upon a valuable domain name for a future billion-dollar business. Here are some pointers from GoDaddy, probably the world's largest and most well-known domain name registry. Consider buying a blog that already has some inbound traffic, working hard for a year to develop the readership, and then selling the blog for a profit.
3. Do Data Analysis for Companies
Do you have a thing for numbers? If you have the proper credentials and experience, there are many of firms that compensate talented contractors who are good at data analysis, making this a potentially lucrative method to make money online. Flexjobs and TopTal are just two of the many websites that cater to freelancers with strong analytical skills.
4. Online Personal Trainer or Fitness Coach
Working as a part-time online personal trainer may be both physically and financially satisfying if you're a fitness buff with the appropriate blend of charisma and business savvy. Once you've established a reputation and a client base, it might easily become a full-time job for you. Examine how a few of the most popular fitness blogs generate money online through content sponsorships, affiliate profits, and product sales.
5. Sell Your Songs as a Creative Way to Make Money Online
Even though the music industry isn't as powerful as it was in the 1980s, there are still lots of methods for musicians to generate money online. SoundBetter, for example, allows you to offer your talents as a songwriter, producer, or session musician to tens of thousands of people each month. While Musicbed, Music Vine, Marmoset, and SongFreedom are great for licencing your music to TV shows, movies, and online series, Musicbed, Music Vine, Marmoset, and SongFreedom are great for licencing your music to TV shows, movies, and web series.
6. Subcontract Your Extra Work and Start an Online Agency
Spending your time focusing solely on inside sales (booking freelance contracts with high-value clients) and then subcontracting your work out to other freelancers can be a great way to make money online once you've established yourself in one of the numerous freelance verticals available online. You'll be building a business that can scale and grow beyond the hours you have to sell each day, rather than simply selling your time.
7. Create DIY or Cooking Videos
You know how you can't seem to get away from those top-down cooking or craft movies these days? There are people who make a career off of them, particularly those who also run their own food or travel blogs, as my partner and I do with our vegan cuisine blogs Vegan Anj and VeganTable. In fact, 78 percent of B2C businesses rely on user-generated content (such as these movies) for their marketing efforts. On sites like Darby Smart, you can sign up as a creator and potentially work with companies like Nordstrom, Mattel, and BarkBox. Alternatively, you can learn how to master PPC advertising and use the content to grow your YouTube audience and monetize through ads and views.
8. Edit Videos Online
Video is exploding in popularity. And an increasing number of people are seeking expert assistance in transforming their raw footage into viral-worthy material. As a video editor, you may easily make money online if you have the correct tools and a little skill. Look for relevant jobs on Mandy.com or ProductionHub after reading Fstoppers' article on how to become an online video editor.
9. Build a Niche Website
You may make money online doing something you enjoy if you can find an audience for your passion or pastime. Of course, saying it is easier than doing it. It takes time and effort to build a profitable niche website, and it is not for the faint of heart. However, if you can overcome the significant obstacles and confidently answer a few crucial questions about whether the internet business concept you're considering is viable, you can start creating it and eventually monetize it through advertising, affiliates, or other relevant digital items.
10. Become a Contract Customer Service Superstar
Do you enjoy conversing with others and assisting them with their problems? As a contract customer service rockstar for organisations all around the world, you can earn extra money. Because internet businesses are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, corporations are looking for personnel in various time zones to assist with user difficulties. Even better, if you've worked in customer service or retail before, you'll be right at home. To find chances, go to Indeed or one of the other remote employment boards I mentioned previously.
11. Buy an Existing Website (to Make Money Online Quicker)
Websites and stocks have a lot in common. Many are garbage, but some can create significant revenue for you, making purchasing an existing website a viable option for making money online (if you have an eye for spotting the diamond in the rough). You can buy and sell websites in the hopes of making money in the future based on their user traffic, current revenue intake, domain name, or other factors that could be a hidden cash cow that no one else has noticed. Interested? To discover more, go to marketplaces like Flippa and Flipping Enterprises.
12. Become an Online Notary
Wills, mortgages, naturalisation registrations, and firearm applications are among the hundreds of millions of documents notarized in the United States each year. While this has all been done in person for decades, there is a growing number of websites that allow notaries to provide their services online. You can sell your services online if you're already a notary. If you wish to get started, the National Notary's checklist for becoming a certified notary is a good place to start.
13. Run Corporate Workshops
Running corporate workshops online is another opportunity to put your talent and business talents to use. Businesses are always looking for new ways to educate their employees, and if you can bundle your skills into a one-day or half-day session, you can offer it to firms all over the world to make money online. Begin by establishing a portfolio, then reach out to influencers at relevant companies via LinkedIn to see if they'd be interested in having you educate their team.
14. Lend Your Voice to Voice-Overs
Another way to put your talent and business skills to good use is to run corporate workshops online. Businesses are always looking for innovative ways to educate their staff, and if you can package your abilities into a one-day or half-day session, you may make money online by offering it to companies all over the world. Begin by building a portfolio, then use LinkedIn to reach out to influencers at related companies to see if they'd be interested in having you train their employees.
15. Small Business Marketing Consultant
Consider refining your skills and putting them to work as a small business marketing consultant in your area if you have experience with marketing, SEO, or a knack for getting people excited about the products and services you use on a regular basis—especially if you can become a local SEO expert and help local clients rank higher in their search results. Businesses of all sizes are always looking for new ways to attract clients, which is where your company idea comes in. Start by introducing innovative small company marketing concepts to local firms, and you'll be sure to amaze your initial clients.
16. Rent Your Camera Gear
It's never been easier to rent out your photography gear that spends more time in your closet than in the field thanks to internet marketplace websites like KitSplit. Over 40,000 users use KitSplit to generate a passive income by renting out the photographic gear they already own, from cameras to lenses and everything in between.
17. Help Other Businesses Bring Back Old Customers
You don't have to start from scratch if you want to run an online business. Instead, you may help folks who already have a successful business to grow one (fast). Every service organisation has a huge list of prior clients that they're probably not keeping up with—but this is your chance to take advantage of their indifference. Getting a new client is up to 5 times more expensive than keeping an existing one. You're saving them money (and making your own!) by assisting businesses in following up and bringing back old clients. This type of follow-up service can be as basic as writing a series of letters for a client to assist them re-engage previous consumers (for videos, see this step-by-step guide)as well as other examples of pitches). All you need are some writing skills and some time to study and develop an efficient outreach campaign to profitable niche prospects. 17 Ways How to Make Money Online in 2022 Read the full article

The Scroll of The Prophet Isaiah
Jake Kovnat 3:08 "I work after his voice and do exactly what he says to do... He put up what colors he want. I don't know about them. " - One day, in May of 2018 as I was driving through Niagara Falls, NY, I passed a home unlike anything I had ever seen before. I slammed on the brakes and reversed to take some pictures of this stunning and unusual work of art tucked away in an otherwise unremarkable neighborhood. As I finished, a man who was sitting across the street called me over to talk. His name was Isaiah and the conversation that began on that day culminated in this short film. Maybe our encounter was meant to be. In honor of Isaiah, I hope you enjoy it. - Shot with a Fujifilm X-T3 and then printed on to Kodak 50D 16mm film. - Featuring: Isaiah Robertson Assistant Camera: Mike Ford Film Effects: Kris Bonnell & Luke Saagi Film Processing: Niagara Custom Lab Music: Luke Atencio “Long Distance” via Musicbed Sound Mix: Leo Hicks at Apollo Studios Colorist: Clinton Homuth at Artjail Assistant Colorist: Kevin Wu Special Thanks: Gloria Robertson & Catherine Demmer - www.prophetisaiahfilm.com

Five Essentials for Brand Style Guides - NEW Resource Promo! - Get the Style Guide Kit: https://j.mp/32A2s7U This one time (at band camp?), a logo I designed was butchered. But that experience led to an epiphany: I didn't set my client up for success. I didn't give him the information he needed to make visual decisions for his brand in the future. I just sent him the logo files in a zip folder and said, "Thanks!" And that was it. What I learned is that whenever we hand work over to our clients, we need to give them an instruction manual. This is especially important for branding projects. But the same thing applies to anything we make for other people. So think back onto your last projects. Did you set your clients up for success? If you work in-house, is your team all speaking the same visual language? If you own a brand, are you being clear with your vendors? It's something worth thinking about, especially if you've ever been in a situation like mine. Seeing your work out in the wild is a nightmare if the work is twisted and ruined. Information is everywhere now, and sometimes we just need to know what to look for. There's one thing that can solve a ton of these awkward situations... and in branding, it's called a Style Guide. Style Guides serve as the instruction manual for the brand. It outlines the rules that designers have to follow when they're working with the brand. And while the concept sounds restrictive, sometimes it's nice to have clear boundaries. To have a neat sandbox to play in. Some other terms that mean the same thing are Style Guidelines, Brand Guidelines, Brand Bible, Brand Manual, or simply Style Manual. At a minimum, I would expect a Brand Style Guide to include: 1. An outline of all the logo and visual assets available 2. Guidance on when to use each version 3. Color and typography usage 4. Spacing and layout guidelines 5. Strong "DO NOTs" - things like squishing, stretching, and butchering the logo This stuff feels self-explanatory... but what if your "self" wasn't a designer? If I gave you a box of amazing ingredients like white truffles, wagyu steaks, and fresh uni... would you know what to do with them? Without a recipe, most of us would make Gordon Ramsay cry. So set your work for success. Send off your designs with a style guide that follows that basic format. Clients will be clients, yes. Things will happen. But you'll be able to prevent 90% of the mishaps we encounter in branding execution. But style guides can go a lot deeper than that. For those of you who work in branding, you know this. They can be quite extensive. When I used to work with DreamWorks, we'd get style guides delivered to us in VOLUMES - literally several huge printed books for one movie. Now, that's probably overkill. But it's going to benefit you and the brands that you work on in the long run to have a detailed Style Guide. === 👉Subscribe: https://goo.gl/F2AEbk 👉See our Academy Channel: https://goo.gl/vB9zoP Want a deeper dive? Original caption:
Norway is home to some of the most spectacular fjords on Earth. These v-shaped valleys carved by glaciers during the last ice age harbor sharp mountain ridges and long arms of sea water turning into a very dramatic landscape during both day and night. The fjords of Northern Norway do possess one more advantage though. In the winter, when a thick blanket of snow deposits on the jagged-edged peaks, the aurora borealis sheds light on them and reveals the splendor of the scenery. The goal with this short film was to show the beauty of those fjords using similar time-lapse techniques (tracking, ramping...) as some of my previous movies to showcase the night sky in a different way. All the scenes were shot on Senja island. You will be able to gaze at many aurora shows in different lighting situations (moon, light pollution...), whether they are a simple arch on the northern horizon or an overhead corona. I also wanted to highlight different night sky phenomena, like Orion and Barnard's loop, the Perseus arm and its nebulosity in the aurora, or even comet Wirtanen with the Pleiades and Hyades!
All was shot with the Sony a7rII, Sony a7s and the Canon 6D Baader modified and a variety of bright lenses ranging from 14mm to 150mm. I used the Lonely Speck Pure Night and Matt Aust Light pollution filters to reduce light pollution and increase details on the deep-sky scenes and also the Vixen Polarie to track the stars and get cleaner shots. For motion control I used the Syrp 3-axis Genie I system and also the Vixen Polarie. All post production was made in Lr with the special timelapse plus plugin, Sequence for mac, TLDF, and final production was made in FCPX. I hope you like the movie as much as I liked shooting and processing it and I thank everyone of you for your support. All content is of course copyrighted AMP&F (except sountrack licensed through The Musicbed: Tony Anderson with ‘The Way Home’), and no footage can be used in any way without the author’s permission.

London from Charlie Johnston on Vimeo.
London is a sprawling, hectic and ever-evolving city. My aim for this short travel film was to show a glimpse of what it's like to live in this city. From its food to its people, London is diverse and at times chaotic, and certainly more than just its tourist hot spots (a fair few of which have obviously still made the cut).
I hope I have managed to capture at least a flicker of the city.
I'm very grateful to everyone that helped me make this project (that took far longer than I would care to admit), and I am especially grateful to those who gave me permission to film them (my apologies if It's not made the film, I had an enormous amount of footage).

2020 was a disruptive and massively confusing year for everyone, personally, and for every business and every organization, as well. 2021 will hopefully see a rebound of a sort - yet I think we are not going back to 'normal', ever. In fact, I think that the next decade will bring more change (good and not so good) then the previous 100 years - we're at a FORK in the ROAD towards either utopia or oblivion. We have all the tools but will we have the telos (will, wisdom, purpose)? In this video I share my various insights, foresight and hunches on what 2021 may bring, and what they may mean for businesses, governments, and individuals going forward, discussing topics such as: - The challenges of regulating increasingly powerful technology companies - Changing the Internet's current 'surveillance capitalism' business model - Why privacy is becoming a luxury, and why that's not a good idea - Why too much of a good thing can be a very bad thing (especially when it's about technology) This is part 1 of 3; you can watch the entire video here https://youtu.be/mx74hCf0l0k New: captions in ENG, PT, DE, ES, IT and FR **** check our the Fork In The Road Project https://ift.tt/3rjVMVj -- Learn more about Gerd's #1 keynote topic of 2020/21: MOVING BEYOND THE CORONA CRISIS: Surviving, Adapting and Thriving in the Next 5 Years at: https://ift.tt/3byymVE -- Does your organization or event need a time-tested futurist keynote speaker (virtual or in-person)? Original caption:
"Element" is non-narrative 3 minutes film and it’s all about three main elements - earth, water and air. From Norwegian fjord to lonely shores of Lofoten island, from beautiful northern coastline to rocky beaches of Portugal, from Icelandic majestic landscapes to Russian mirror like lake, these elements are always present in each and every scene of this film. I really like my films to have slow, peaceful and cinematic feel to them and I stay true to it in this film as well. Beautiful, haunting sound score from Tony Anderson is perfect for bringing to life majestic landscapes. With each film I try to push myself to do more, and this one is not an exemption. In post production stage I choose to move to a different software suit and learn it from ground up. To go further, I’ve challenged myself to do some vfx in several shots. Technical info: All footage shot on DJI Phantom 3 Pro, DJI Phantom 4 Pro, and DJI Mavic Pro. Several ND filters from Polar Pro were used for filming. I used Davinci Resolve 15 for editing, vfx, sfx and grading. Adobe Audition was used to mix sound score. Adobe After Effects were used on several shots for additional motion blur and denoise. Original music by Tony Anderson was purchased at Musicbed. SFX are free samples by various creators. Special thanks to my wife Ludmila Tregub for helping with filming and my friend Ruslan Timerbaev for vfx support and help. Enjoy ! Love and peace ✌🏻
