While Aloy and Elisabet are off at Thebes, Beta gets to know Talanah and Ikrie a little better.

An interlude taking place during Chapter 34 of Choosing Life.

Aloy and Elisabet are off retrieving the Omega clearance in the ruins of San Francisco, and Beta’s been left behind, lacking the wilderness skills needed to go on such a trip. Not having a lot to do until they return, Beta finds herself wandering around the base. Hearing voices coming from the room with the workbench in the fabrication room, she draws closer, curious. “—and then she went running off after the Scorcher, no ranged weapons, just her spear! Ran right up and stabbed it in the control core! I couldn’t believe she made it out of that unscathed,” the first person, who Beta thinks is Ikrie, says. “That’s nothing,” the second person, who sounds like Talanah, replies. “One time a Behemoth got near our tent, and Aloy went after it without even finishing putting her armor on. She forgot her breastplate! I just about panicked when I saw it lying there. But when I rushed out she was happily firing her Sharpshot bow at all its weak spots, and by the Sun, she had that thing down before it could even touch her.”

I'm not sure where I'd go with this but consider: Spiderloy dating X-23!Ikrie and when they're in battle she swings Ikrie on a length of web like because her girlfriend's a little wrecking ball with claws.

Also I headcanon Ikrie as a smidge shorter and a little more muscly than Aloy so she's basically built like an actual wolverine anyway
