This is completely self-indulgent and something I pulled out of my ass in the shower. Pairing: Kiyoshi Teppei x Fem Reader, hints of HyuRiko Warnings: A few curses maybe Genre: Fluff

You and Kiyoshi are in separate classes. How does he know you? You accidentally ran into him LITERALLY during a school festival in your first year at Seirin High.

He was on his way to meet with the rest of the team. Kiyoshi walked down the halls and when he turned the corner, a figure bumped into him. While he was fine, unscathed even, the other person fell unto their ass on the floor.

His face turned into that of concern when he saw you, on the floor, "Oh no, my bad... Are you okay?" He asked, reaching his hand out to you.

You, my dear, are as awkward as a cabbage. But that's okay because it's not like it's awkward. You were in a hurry as you were needed at your club's booth and you were running late. Leading you to this situation. "I...I'm so sorry I should have been more mindful," You said, accepting his hand as he helped pull you to your feet. "It's okay. No biggie! As long as you aren't hurt." He said, smiling at you.

After that, you pretty much never interacted with each other. But oh boy, was Kiyoshi enthralled by you. He unknowingly started to be drawn to your figure whenever he would catch a glimpse of you. At the cafeteria, down the halls, at the school gates, etc.

Before he knew it, he started to develop a crush on you. He realized this after he started to unknowingly search for you whenever he was among a large crowd. He found you quite adorable actually. He tried multiple times to approach you but things kept getting in the way. Someone or something would always call him somewhere before he could even get halfway towards you.

But he sort of knew that you probably aren't interested in him. But boy, oh boy, how wrong he was. You always remembered him and still felt bad about bumping into him. You thought about making it up to him but didn't know how to approach him. Your mind was so occupied by thoughts of him that you didn't realize you developed a crush on him. One school year passed, and none of you still had the guts to approach each other and talk. Kiyoshi decided to take matters into his own hands, 3 months after they won the Winter Cup on Valentine's Day. He navigated through crowds of students, some confessing in their love to someone on the sides of the hallway and some just want to get home. He finally spotted your figure by the locker, putting your books inside. You, on the other hand, are very tired. You wanted to go home, take a nap and after dinner, do your homework and sleep again. You closed your locker shut before flinching when you see Kiyoshi's much larger figure standing in front of you while holding out a single but beautiful rose. You were kinda surprised that you didn't notice his shadow.

"Hi," Kiyoshi greeted you, all with that sweet smile on his face. You were puzzled. Was he talking to you? Your face morphed into that of confusion as you stared up at him. There's no way right? The rose must probably be for someone behind you. You're probably blocking the way. You turned to look behind you, beside you, then back to him. "Are you...Are you talking to me?" You asked, uncertain. Kiyoshi extended the rose in your direction to prove his point, "Yes. This is for you,"

Oh...It is for you. You hesitantly took the rose from him, mumbling a small and quiet thank you and felt all the heat rush up to your face. "And I wanted to ask you something too," He continued. Your attention flicked back to him as you saw tinges of pink on his face as he reached to rub his nape. "I was wondering if you would like to go on a date with me.."

Your eyes lit up as you nodded, "Yes. I'd love that." A smile was evident on your face.

He walked you home that day as he practically melted all the awkwardness you felt and the conversation you two had was so free-flowing, you walked slowly so that it would last longer. Bonus: The captain raised his fist in victory, "Finally that idiot asked her out!" "You should probably follow in his footsteps and ask coach out too." "SHUT UP IZUKI"

These are in no particular order (though you already know #1 if you follow his blog) and I’ll mainly stick to animated characters since that’s the theme of this blog! THIS WAS SO HARD YA’LL! 

1. Klance (Voltron)

I love these characters individually, and together I feel that they have and can continue to grow and learn form one another. 

2. Victuuri (Yuri On Ice!!!)

CANON healthy, inspiring gay relationship? Um yes please!

3. MakoHaru (Free!)

These two support, protect and love one another even in hard times. There’s no one who knows them better than each other. (ALSO I LOVE REIGISA but I wanted to keep it at 1 ship per show.)

4. Zutara (Avatar: The Last Airbender)

Again, another pairing that has/can continue to grow and learn from one another. They really seem to understand one another and respect each other’s opinions.

5. Shouko Nishimiya & Shouya Ishida (A Silent Voice)

They came back into each other’s lives when they needed it most and both realized they didn’t have a full picture of the other. He made mistakes but learned from them.

6. Kae Serinuma & Mutsumi Asuma (Kiss Him, Not Me)

Mutsumi has always cared about Serinuma, even before she “changed.” He doesn’t care about her looks, and just wants her to be happy.

7. MiyuSawa (Ace of Diamond)

A “senpai, notice me” ship that turns into “I am noticing you, please stop screaming.” 

8. LadyNoir/Adrienette (Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir)

Ah. These two idiots who don’t realize they are in love with each other. 

9. HyuRiko (Kuroko No Basket)

This show has so many possible ships I honestly picked this one bc it’s one of the ones I see less stuff for. They are childhood friends who are practically MARRIED.

10. Stony (Avengers Assemble)

OK so I totally cheated bc I ship Stony in the comics and MCU too but well, in the show you get to see their friendship and respect for one another. They are MARRIED best friends with children. 

Some of these shows I literally don't know who to ship?? Like Kuroko is anyone's game (no pun intended) and AOT idk I'm so conflicted on all of them. But yeah I have so many other OTPs, hmu if you want to talk, have questions or anything. If you don't ship my ships, that's ok these are just mine :)

Ooo thanks sm for the question!! 💗💞 tbh I like quite a few as I can see the potential and/or I just think its cute but if we're talking favorites I'll shorten the list and they'd be:

MidoTaka and MidoAka, AoMomo AoSaku and AoKise, KagaKuro and TakaKuro, MomoRiko and HyuRiko

as u can see I'm particularly fond of aomine pairings (and tho I didn't include them in my favorites list I do like aokuro and aokaga as well.) tbh I think that's just a result of him being one of the best developed characters on the show lol anyways thanks again lovely anon, if you want I'd like to know some of your fave ships too~ 💞

I am so sorry this tookme so long to answer. I’d intended to answer the same weekend asks were sent inbut clearly that did not happen. Thank you for participating!

7. What are yourotps/brotps/notps?

OTP: So hard to pickbetween KiyRiko or HyuRiko because I love both those boys SO MUCH. However,given what we’ve seen in the anime, I have to give it to Hyuga/Riko. As Kiyoshiso eloquently put it, he pushes the team and Riko pulls them. They are a strongpair who despite their differences are so in tune with each other it’s quitebeautiful. And we can see how much Hyuga cares for her, subtle as he tries tobe.

BROTPS: Oh gosh, THIS iseven harder because there are so many amazing friendship/broship developmentsmade. But I’ll give it to my first instinct which is Midorima x Takao. I simplylove how persistent Takao is in his friendship with our resident tsundere. His abilityto let go of the grudge he held in favor of improving himself is just amazingand how he is one of the catalysts that pulls Midorim into a more team focusedbasketball play is beautiful.

NOTPS: Pretty much anyof the boys romantically involved with one another. To me, you can have thedepth and breadth of feelings these teammates and friends have for one anotherwithout the need to romanticize them. They respect each other, fight with eachother, lift each other up and challenge each other but in my eyes, it’s allfrom a place of friendship or broship, not romance or lust. I’m sure it’s anunpopular opinion but just as I respect those who have a right to theirinterpretation, I hope mine will be as well.  

8. Favorite match: Maybe a surprise but Rakuzan vs. Shutoku, heartbreaking as the outcome ended upbeing. It’s my favorite because we finally get to see Midorima really become apart of his team, to acknowledge them verbally as being valuable to him andthat he’s willing to put his trust in them completely. The part where Takao passesthe ball to him perfectly in shooting stance made me cheer. These lines: “"There's not a single player on this teamwho's a hindrance” and "This isa gamble. More than I need to believe in myself, I must believe in myteammates. Even if I do everything I can, it's not enough. But I don't feel anyuncertainty. In this team, everyone is doing everything they can!” gave mechills! His development, though subtle and understated, comes through with a hugebang in this game. I loved it.

13. Favorite Ace: Despiteall my talk of Midorima above, I feel like my fave ace is Kise. When we firstmeet him, I thought he was quite annoying but his development drew me in. Theshift in his perspective and the respect he learned to give his senpais made mefeel proud of him. Laying everything down, he gave all of himself to beatAomine and it was so gut-wrenching to watch it not work.  His and Kasamatsu’s broship is my secondfavorite (cheating a bit I know, sorry).

17. Opinion about Teikoarc: (Copy and paste from previous response) It made me sad overall. Yes, it wasfun to watch the boys all meet each other and get an insight into how that teamcame together but watching them fall apart was just heart breaking. I didappreciate it though to understand Kuroko’s motivation more.

33. Favorite scene: Thereare too many and all for different reasons! But what pops into mind right awayis Kuroko’s conversation with Hyuga when he asks to be benched. I loved seeingHyuga being a good captain, putting his kohai in his place. The flash back ofHyuga talking to Kagami and the revelation that he wasn’t saying goodbye justhit me in the heart. And when Kuroko confronts him about it and confesses hisulterior motive I felt relieved to see them both being honest with one another.Their trust was built higher in that moment and it left me really excited tosee what was going to happen next. I know that’s a few scenes together but theyall roll together in my head as one long moment between Kuroko and Kagami.
