When it was midnight, with the full moon being suspended in the dark skies at its peak, the werewolves went hunting. During this time, their senses were the sharpest, and their strength and urges were the strongest.

With his magnificent and alluring beauty, dominating strength and personality, it was no new news to anyone that Zen was an alpha. He was wanted in many ways -- as a criminal who needed to be killed, and an irresistible leader who others wanted to submit to. He was a great leader who strengthened his pack, and created a reputation for them that created fear in others for them. He was highly respected, and no one went against his orders.

It was only when he chose you as his mate, did everyone in the pack questioned his decision for the first time. Even you questioned his decision since out of everyone he could have picked, he chose a mediocre omega like yourself as his mate. Additionally, you also questioned your relationship with Zen.

At first, like everyone else, you wondered what made you worthy enough to be chosen as his mate. However now, you questioned Zen’s toxicity, and how long would it be till you lost your sanity. As an omega, genetically, your urge to hunt and run wildly was not as strong or came as often as other alphas and betas, but it was still there. You still needed to fulfill your basic needs in order to keep yourself healthy, but you never could. Not since the moment you began to belong to Zen.

“Baby, I’m home and I brought dinner,” Zen said, as he opened the door to your shared abode, and slowly shifted back from his werewolf form, to his more humane looking form.

Dread filled you, but you conjured up a fake and strained smile.

“Welcome home,” You said, and the aroma of the dead vampire flesh that Zen set aside, entered your nostrils. It smelled delicious. The sight of it caused your stomach to grumble, and your mouth to water.

Although you lived almost like a prisoner, the good food was one positive aspect in your otherwise shitty life, that you always looked forward to. You were ready to sink your sharp canine into the flesh, however, before you could, Zen grabbed you, and turned you towards him.

He gave you a closed eyes smile. His expression seemed innocent, however from experience you knew it was anything but innocent. Behind this facade, hid a demanding and sadistic beast.

“You haven’t earned your meal, [Name]. You know what the rules are,” Zen stated sternly, all the while keeping his grin in place. The reminder of those horrid rules caused you to grimace, but it was an everyday occurrence so you weren’t too surprised by it.

Hesitantly, you walked up to Zen. His eagerness was obvious, and you knew that you were going to hate yourself after this for never fighting back. Once you were close enough to him, the alpha grabbed you without any warning, and hungrily and messily pressed his lips against yours. There were dried stains of blood on Zen’s lips which probably belonged to the vampire he had killed. So, when he pulled away, some of it had smeared against your lips, and you ended up tasting some of it.

Zen’s ruby red eyes were gleaming. The emotions in his eyes were difficult to decipher, but you knew that they held nothing good when you recognized the taste of the vampire’s blood.

“No… This is....” You started in disbelief, and your eyes widened.

Zen’s grin stretched wide across his face, and that made your stomach churn in discomfort.  

“The blood of your ex. Today was an appropriate day to completely get rid off anyone who’s touched you, don’t you think? I love you so much that I did the trick and brought you a treat. Happy Halloween, baby.”

mystic messenger profile aesthetics

Recently I’ve been making profiles for the MM characters and to help with that I made little aesthetic cards with some of the information from the data book. Some of these characters could have different aesthetics that also fit them so I wanted a little guide for myself for a little consistency. ( also a sneak preview on the rest of the characters). 

If you have any suggestion on what I should make next, or an aesthetic I should try on one of the characters, let me know. My askbox is open and none of my friends play MM like i do ; m ;  I really want to finish the series i started, but I need time to actually play the routes for the content so i think I’m going to try mood boards or make these into tumblr themes while I do some routes. Raine and Zen and the No Good Very Bad Day

This is an SFW fic between Zen and @casualpastelgay as the other half of the fic trade between us. It features an OC named Raine having a very bad day, and Zen coming home to comfort them. There is nudity and copious amounts of making out and hickeys, but no sexy business. Also contains some teasing and use of the word “princess”. Zaine is canon :3c

In the kitchen, you tried your best to keep the tears from pouring out as you washed the dishes. You only hoped Zen would be back soon from his rehearsal. Then again, you didn’t know if you actually wanted him to see your face. You knew he would get worried, and then you’d have to explain everything, but you just wanted to be alone right then. You were too tired to go on about the assholes at work who dropped dogs off when you were over capacity, the coworkers who once again left all the dirty poop water buckets for you to clean, and the ones who came in late so you weren’t able to take your break at all that day. You sighed, leaning against the sink. Wiping your eyes awkwardly on your sleeve, you placed the last of the plates into the dishwasher before washing your hands and wiping the small splashes of water off the counter.

You didn’t hear the door open over the sound of the sink, so when you felt a pair of arms wrap around you, you practically jumped five feet into the air.

“I’m home, princess,” Zen whispered into your ear.

“Zen!” you squeaked. Glancing at the clock over the stove, you realized he was home before he was supposed to be. “Why’re you home so early?”

“Hmmm, I felt a disturbance in the force. It seemed like you needed me,” he hummed, kissing you on the cheek. Turning you around, he kissed you gently before sweeping you up in his arms. You were so surprised, you couldn’t even protest as he carried you to your shared room.

You didn’t know how he knew, but you certainly didn’t mind the surprise despite your reluctance to let him see your crying face. You didn’t want to bother him either, since you knew how busy he was with rehearsals for his next big show. Zen didn’t seem to pay that any mind. You buried your face into his chest while Zen had the consideration to not ask until the two of you had crossed the threshold to your bedroom and he’d set you on the bed.

“Now, what’s wrong, Raine?” Zen asked, concern lacing is voice.

You looked up at him, calculating whether he’d take no for an answer and much to your dismay, his eyes held the determination you fell in love with. Damn it. You weren’t getting out of this.

Zen laced his arms around you, sitting you between his legs so you could lean your back against him. He buried his face in your neck, peppering it with small kisses while you hesitantly started to explain what had happened. He didn’t interrupt or offer any words to you while you spoke, he simply listened. Rubbing small circles on your hips with his thumbs, he tried his best to relax you with his presence.

As his body heat soaked into your back, you felt the tension in your shoulders start to loosen. Soon enough the words came pouring out of you. Zen tightened his arms around you when he heard your voice hitch as you kept talking about the shitty day you had. Pulling you into his lap he interrupted you with a kiss instead of words, since he knew words wouldn’t be helpful right then.

“Raine…” Zen whispered against your lips. “Raine, I love you and I hope you know that whatever happens during your day I’m always here to hold you at the end of it.”

You felt tears prick your eyes again. You wished that Zen’s arms could make the pain go away, but that wasn’t going to happen. You’d have to deal with this on your own, in your own time, but it sure as heck helped to have another warm body to distract from everything.

“Raine…” Zen trailed kisses from your neck, up to your jawline, across your cheek, and finally to your lips. His hand snaked up your back and into your hair, cradling your head gently as he softly, softly, traced your lips with his tongue, asking permission for entrance.

You granted it, and his tongue swept into your mouth, not dominating, but also not letting you escape. Winding your arms around him, you let yourself melt into him. Before you two went any further though, he reluctantly broke your kiss and stood up to strip off his jacket and shirt.

“Princess, why don’t we just go to sleep tonight? I’ll wake up extra early and make breakfast for you. Plus I have the day off so I can help with the rest of what you were going to do tonight.” As he stripped his pants and underwear off, he punctuated his sentences with tiny kisses, loathe to part from you longer than absolutely necessary.

You bit your lip. “That would be nice…”

“Then it’s settled. Come over here and get undressed already.” He beckoned to you, pulling you up when you hesitated to get off the bed.

He pulled slightly too hard, and overbalanced you so you fell conveniently in his arms. You looked up at his face, and the expression you saw there only furthered your suspicion that he did that on purpose.

You scowled at him and he did his best impression of a puppy who knew they weren’t supposed to rip up the toilet paper in the bathroom but did so anyway. You couldn’t stay mad at him for long when he looked at you with those eyes. The warm, hard planes of his chest also did a wonderful job of scrambling the rest of your brain so you soon forgot why exactly you were annoyed with him in the first place.

Giving you an impish grin once you succumbed to relaxing against his body, Zen started to peel your shirt up. Once it was about halfway up, you had to move away from Zen so he could finish taking it off. When he reached for your pants however, you stopped him.

“Zen, I...” You felt the blush flare across your cheeks. “I don’t think... I don’t think I want you to see me like this.”

“Why not? You’re my darling angel, my princess. I love to see you naked.” He paused as a wolfish grin overtook his face and he licked his lips. It dropped after a moment, but you still couldn’t meet his gaze. “I love the feel of your skin on mine.”

You buried your face in your hands. You really couldn’t look him in the face anymore.

“It’s too embarrassing,” you mumbled.

“Why? We’ve gone to sleep like this plenty of times before.” His voice softened once he saw you weren’t lifting your head. “Don’t worry, I won’t try to take it farther tonight. I think the both of us just need some cuddle time right now.”

Zen’s fingers traced along your cheekbone, tucking your hair behind your ear. His other hand went to your jaw so he could tilt it up, making you meet his eyes.

“Please?” One simple word from him combined with the utter care he took touching you was enough to make your reservations crumble.

You looked away again, but not until after you’d moved to take your pants off yourself. You were looking forward to snuggling together, and honestly didn’t want any clothes between the two of you, but you still didn’t want Zen staring. Zen reached for you once you were completely naked, taking your hand and encouraging you to climb onto his lap.

“Princess,” he urged. He wanted to soothe you, and the faster the better. He didn’t want you to be suffering anymore.

You didn’t stall this time, accepting your desire to be snuggled after going through so many emotions earlier. His lap was warm and inviting, and despite the lack of clothes, there wasn’t anything awkward or overtly sexual about it. The warmth of his skin soaked into your muscles, and the hard planes of his body were softened just enough that you could melt into him.

He wrapped his arms tightly around you and laid back, sprawling you across his chest. You felt him bury his face in your hair, inhaling deeply, and reached off to the side enough that you could grab the precariously balanced blanket and place it over the two of you. You made sure that your fan was turned on though, so you didn’t overheat from Zen’s body and the blanket, and snuggled further into his chest. You kissed along his shoulder until you reached his collarbone, sucking hard until you left a deep red mark. This wasn’t a sexual thing, just a way of showing him how much you cared for him, and he knew it. He stifled his moans, and dragged you up enough to kiss down your neck until he reached your pulse point, where he returned the favor. The feeling of his lips on your skin, his wet tongue sliding over the mark afterwards, left you somewhat heated, but more relaxed than anything.

Zen kissed it a few times before moving down further and giving you a matching mark on your own collarbone. “Princess,” he mumbled against your skin, “I love you. I love you so much I can’t even stand it.”

He broke away and looked up into your eyes. “I can’t stand to see you suffering, so please, please let me take away some of your pain.”

You closed your eyes, nuzzling into his hair. You didn’t want to keep thinking about what had happened today, and was grateful Zen was so adamant about helping. You acquiesced and he felt you nod against his head. Taking that as permission, he continued to pepper kisses down your chest, leaving a few hickeys here and there, always soothing them with his tongue. You had to keep yourself from crying out. Retracing his steps, Zen kissed back up to your jaw before recapturing your lips. Gently coaxing your mouth open with his tongue, he softly twined them together, just as he twined your legs together. Your arms wrapped around his neck as best as possible, tracing the muscles in his shoulders and upper back. You gently massaged some of the knots in his back. He sighed into the kiss.

“Thank you, my angel,” he said, kissing you one more time before holding you close to his chest and tucking your head underneath his chin. He circled his arms around your back and rubbed it, his body heat lingering where his touch had been. Your heart pounded harder, and the touch of his bare skin all along your body left you relaxed and feeling somewhat sleepy. You hadn’t felt warmer physically or emotionally in quite awhile.

“I love you, princess,” Zen said, his voice sounding slightly gravelly from sleepiness. He held you tighter to him.

“I love you too Zen…” you whispered, sleep catching up to you and leaving your vision fading away. The last thing you felt was Zen kissing your eyelids, nose, and then lips before you succumbed to sleep, still cradled on Zen’s broad chest. Zen looked down at your sleeping form and smiled before allowing sleep to claim him as well.

🎭He honestly loves your funny personality. Like, sometimes when he has a hard/long day of rehearsals or if the RFA are in the bad mood, he can look forward to your silly nature to feel relaxed and at ease again. Like if you crack an old joke, even if you tell him a “why did the chicken cross the road?” joke, his day will literally brighten up. Plus his laughs are really precious and you just wanna hear it at least once a day so you made it your mission to make him laugh with your silly nature so you can hear that adorable chuckle of his. If you do anything silly around you, he can’t help but hug you tight and just laugh, he just feels so lucky to have such a bright and funny ball of energy in his life.

💖He absolutely loves the fact that you shower your loved ones with affection, he thinks you are the sweetest person ever! But, once you start showing him affection, like giving him compliments and even presents sometimes, he literally can not control himself, he goes all giddy mode and can’t help but just run to you and pick you up to hug you real tight. He never gets the affection he wants from all the girls he used to pick up on and go on dates with. But with you, he is finally getting the affection he wants, plus more, which makes him extremely happy. On the outside he would try to act all suave about it and be cool about it but when in reality in the inside he is fanboying over it.

💖This boy is the extreme jealous type out of the Battle Lovers. 🎭He is the very clingy type. Like, because of his childhood where basically his family never supported him and treated him like dirt, he never felt any love. But when you came along, he can’t help but be extremely clingy to him. And because you are clingy to him, he doesn’t feel bad for being clingy. Like, he is totally ok with you for constantly linking your arm to his and bringing yourself closer, cause he would just hug you real tight and won’t let you go. Some people might find his clinginess unhealthy, but like, he can’t help be clingy to the one person who truly loves him? And besides, you don’t mind, so its all good and those people can chill.

🎭Mother Zen Mode™ activated. He doesn’t like seeing you underweight, so he will make it his mission to fill you up with healthy foods! From salads to fruit smoothies, he will feed you all the healthy stuff he knows so you can be at a good weight. Course, when it comes to desserts, he will take you to the best bakeshops he knows and will order you whatever you want. And when sitting outside of the bakeshop eating some cake, he can’t help but take a pic at you eating cause you cheeks blush up from the sweetness and you have the biggest smile on your face and he just can’t help but take a pic at that cute smile!

💖He actually low-key loves cosplaying. Like, ever since he got his Battle Lover powers and transforms into his Battle Lover state, he started getting into cosplay. And he is super duper excited that you also love to cosplay! He would totally suggest the two of you go to anime conventions and cosplay as various fan-favorite ships. And boy are you two extremely popular in conventions. People would be constantly around you, requesting to take pictures of you two. And if people request you to kiss, you two would be more than happy to. But this boy will go extra and pick you up bridal-style and kiss you passionately. The crowd will roar with excitement and you will hear many fangirls squealing with happiness.

🎭This boy acts for a living, so once he learned you also acted, he got so excited and giddy to the point where he was bouncing up and down with the biggest smile he ever had in his life. Like, you two would help each other read each others lines and give each other advice on how they should take up on their character they are portraying and such. You two would go to each others every performance to be there as support for one another. After the performance, if you were performing, he would bring you chocolates, and if he was performing, you would bring him flowers. You two are each others biggest supporters when it comes to acting, and will help out each other to the best of your guys abilities. Also, sometimes you guys try to find plays that both of you can be in together (and he double checks that if there is romance involved, you and him have to be couples, no other person can be your romantic interest in it cause he doesn’t want anyone kissing you except him).

💖He will do everything he can to calm your nerves. Like, even though he rarely feels nervous, and doesn’t get anxiety as much, but when you feel anxiety seeping through, he turns into this calm and collected man. He will sit you down and put you on his lap and look at you. He will then bring you close and rub your back gently and whisper to you that everything will be alright, that there is no need for you to worry cause he is holding onto you and he will never let go until you are ready. After you have calmed down, he will have his signature smile plastered on his face and kiss you on both cheeks as a way to tell you that you are doing a good job in remaining calm. He goes to all your performances and always sits in the front row with a humongous bouquet of flowers in hand. He is a very supportive man, and will do anything to help ease your anxiety.

Yoosung

You had applied at SKY University because not only was it one of the best Universities for you to study at, but also so you could study alongside Yoosung. The two of you were really excited for the future that was ahead of you. You had already planned how you could ditch your classes once in a while and go out on cute dates at local cafes and etc. However, all of this excitement and hope were snatched from you in one moment when you received the rejection letter.

You were absolutely heartbroken, and this rejection letter absolutely killed you. It destroyed your confidence, and it made you question your self-worth. Thoughts such as ‘why me,’ ‘am I really THAT stupid and incapable?,’ and other negative and self-destructive thoughts entered your mind. You entered an auto-pilot mode, and you allowed the negativity to overwhelm you to the point where you became completely discouraged to even put effort in your daily routine. At your state, Yoosung literally felt his heart-break. The dejection that you felt due to the rejection you received made him realize how fortunate he was to be accepted into his course in the first place.

At the start of your relationship, he had promised you that he would do his best for you. And now, this only fueled his fire to want to complete his major so he could build a good life for you and himself. However, before he could execute his passion in his studies, he needed to cheer you up.

Yoosung persuaded you to play a round of LOLOL with him. At first, you were too dejected to want to do anything. However, after some forceful tugging and scolding from Yoosung, you reluctantly agreed. And boy were you glad that you did.

The concentration that it required to pull off complex character combos, and the thrill that you got from killing and destroying everything, was exactly what you needed to release your pent up anger and frustration. As you were focused on bathing in the blood of your enemies and cursing out loud, you were oblivious to the lovesick gaze Yoosung was staring at you with.

“I win!” You exclaimed in triumph, as you slumped back in your seat, and turned towards Yoosung with a wide grin. That’s when you saw it: how in love he was with the sight of your bright face, and passionate eyes. He loved all of you, but your genuine smile was his favourite.

Unexpectedly, he grabbed your face, and pulled you in close, before kissing you.

“I love you so much,” He said sincerely, and giving you an adorable smile. That left you as a blushing mess, and the sadness from your rejection letter was long forgotten.  

   Zen

Zen was the sort of person who shared your feelings.

He felt happy when you were happy. He shared your stress because he easily became worried about you. He was angry when you were, so it was no surprise when he was just as upset as you were when you received your college rejection letter.

Zen left his studies at an young age, and he never did or wanted to pursue college (unless it might’ve been for acting purposes). Education did not hold much value for him, so although he shared your melancholy, initially, he did not understand the reason behind it. So, in order to grasp an understanding of your situation, he implemented the analogy of how he would feel if he lost a really big role that he wanted.

Just that thought itself was heartbreaking, but instantly, he realized that there was always another chance. It would not be the same, but another chance is better than none, and that’s how Zen came to a conclusion.

You were trying to continue with your depression nap that you had been having for the past two and a half hours. However, much to your distaste, your body was too well-rested physically and you were unable to fall-asleep again. So, you just laid on your stomach with your face dug in your pillow. That’s when you heard the creaking sound of the door opening, and footsteps heading towards you. You felt the familiar touch of Zen’s hand on your head, as he softly brushed his thumb on your cheek.

His touch was soothing. You shuffled under your covers so you could turn around and look at him.

“You’re awake,” Zen said, as his eyes widened slightly in surprise. You nodded grimly in response.

He gave you a pitiful smile as he continued to caress your cheek softly.

“Shouldn’t you at least get out of bed? I know you’re going through a lot but don’t let yourself fall apart this badly. At the very least, look after yourself,” Zen said softly, as he bent down and sat on the floor on his knees, so that he could be at your eye level.

“I don’t want to,” You replied simply, and frowned. Zen seemed like he expected your response, because he sighed.

He held up some papers, and before he spoke, he coughed dryly in his elbow, with red tinted cheeks.

“I know that you got rejected from your dream college,” He began, and you scowled at him.

“No shit Sherlock,” You snapped.

Zen’s eyebrow twitched in annoyance, but he did not return your sass, for now. He figured that probably was not the best way to start of his point with.

“As I was saying, I did some research and I found other colleges that you can study your major at. I was actually looking at the reviews too. It turns out that some of these colleges aren’t only close by so you can save your time from travelling, but they have some excellent facilities that your dream college didn’t have. I thought that maybe, you’d like to look at them together?” He suggested, and smiled shyly.

You stared at him for a few minutes, before you smiled softly at him.

“Ah, I didn’t even think of that! Zen, you’re a genius.”

Jaehee

Jaehee was familiar with the concept of rejection. Not necessarily with not being able to not achieve her goals, but more as in not receiving a genuine love from a family like she wanted. So, she understood your devastation, but she was confused as to how she should comfort you.

For a while, she just let you be. She thought that you may have needed your own space to grieve and wanted to be left alone. However, it slowly dawned upon Jaehee that the longer she left you to grieve on your own, the more your sorrow manifested. This made her worry a lot and she tried to cheer you up by putting on her favourite Zen DVD’s and spoiling you with your favourite food. However, none of it seemed to make you better. It was beginning to drive her crazy. So, she did what she figured she should’ve done in the first place: she sat down with you and talked to you. And that’s when she realized that was what you needed; you just needed her to be by your side, and talk everything out.

So, late at night, when the sound of rain hitting against the windows and the outer walls of the apartment was comforting, over a warm cup of tea, you vented to her about everything that you felt.

Jumin

Jumin held you in a warm and loving embrace as you cried because you had received a college rejection letter. As you were crying, you were subconsciously murmuring negative things about yourself. It was common knowledge that everyone had parts of themselves that they didn’t like, and that was fine. However, the impact of the rejection seemed to have taken a huge toll on you. It was like it was the last snip that was needed to cut some sort of thread in your mind, and let everything that you hated about yourself flood your mind.

Jumin saw you as his precious angel because you were always there for him. He loved you so much, and for that reason, the more negative things you said about yourself, the more hurt he felt. He knew that it was important to release all of your emotions but he was beginning to question whether being so self-hateful would be beneficial in the process of getting over the harsh reality.

It got to the point where he couldn’t tolerate the bad words you said to yourself. As a result, for each bad thing you said about yourself, Jumin countered it with something he loved about you.

“I can’t do anything right. I’m so useless.”

“You’re a person, you have your limits. You can do a lot, and one failure doesn’t define you.”

“I should have tried harder.”

“I watched you do your best. You’re smart, and hardworking, don’t be so hard on yourself.”

“I hate myself.”

“I love you more than I could ever love myself,” He whispered, and his deep voice sent shivers down your spine. His words had an instant effect on you because you froze mid-crying, and gazed up at Jumin with glossed watery eyes.

He looked really hurt, and the fact that he was giving you a soft smile to conceal his feelings caused a pool of guilt to form within you.

Jumin intertwined his fingers with yours, and gently kissed your cheek.

“You are everything, and you don’t even know it. Look at yourself through my eyes. Look at how much I love and cherish you. One letter doesn’t mean anything, it will all work out, I promise. So, please stop being so awful to yourself. ” He pleaded, before he brought your form closer to his, and hugged you tighter.

Your lip quivered, and you dug your head in the crook of his neck.

“I’ll try.”

Saeyoung

Saeyoung offered to hack into the college’s system to change the status of your enrollment. You were tempted to take the offer, but you didn’t because it wouldn’t be fair on others, who actually got accepted. The rejection did not bother you too much because you had a second preference that was nearly as good as the first. However, the reality of the rejection was still disheartening.

To distract yourself temporarily from your temporary sorrow, you were binging your favourite show. You were wrapped in a lot of blankets and you were slouched lazily on the couch. You had been in this position constantly for about two days. You only got up when you needed to use the washroom, sleep or get more junk food. You knew that avoiding your problems until they go away or distracting yourself from them were not healthy coping mechanisms. However, at this point, everything seemed pointless and you didn’t really care.

But Saeyoung did.

In some ways, you were very similar to him. Both of you tended to ignore everything and everyone so that you could isolate yourself in your misery. By this point, he felt like you were basically his twin because it felt like you had the same personality. That was both amazing yet frustrating at the same time.

“[Name],” Saeyoung called, as he tried to grab your attention. From the corner of your eyes, you saw him, but you didn’t look at him.

You were looking at the hot fictional character on the screen of your laptop, and focusing on their voice that was playing at full volume in your earphones.

The red-haired male made several attempts to get your attention, but his efforts were meaningless. Saeyoung grumbled under his breath. Then, an idea came to him, which made him smirk.

“How unfortunate. A young and sweet princess like myself is being ignored by her beloved peasant, for whom she’s willing to break all the rules for. I guess I will just go to my room to suffer in this mortal world of loneliness all by myself,”  He exclaimed dramatically.

A few minutes passed, and your show was getting to a very intense and good plot point. You were getting really invested in it since you were leaning forward and biting your bottom lip in anticipation.

Just as you were about to get to the good part, your screen started to buffer.

You blinked and before you could do anything else, a video of a car being driven down on a road through the mountains started to play.

You watched it in complete confusion, before finally, it happened.

The scary pop up.

You screeched in sudden surprise, and leaped feet away from your computer. The earphones that were connected to your laptop, suddenly whipped out from your ears, which caused you to groan in pain. Colorful vocabulary left your mouth. Then, there was the sound of Saeyoung’s laughter bouncing off the walls of the house, as he walked into the living room to see you groaning in pain.

He smiled ear-to-ear and exaggeratedly blinked innocently.

“Did you like my surprise~?” He asked in a chirpy voice.

Your eyebrow twitched.

“I know that you’re trying to make me feel better and I know I shouldn’t be snobby. But out of EVERYTHING, was that REALLY necessary?!” You asked, and narrowed your eyes at him.

Saeyoung continued to smile cheekily.

“Yes?” He said, and your expression formed into one of utter disbelief.

“You have three seconds to high tail out of here and hide yourself to save yourself from getting beaten,” You warned.

“What if I’m into being beaten--” He began, but stopped when you lunged at him.

V

Usually, you were good at comforting yourself whenever you were feeling down. In this situation, you were able to not make yourself feel like a complete failure. However, the sorrow from the rejection still lingered. It wasn’t too bad, but it was still there.

You didn’t confess or talk about your feelings. Actually, you hid it quite well. If V wasn’t an observant person who knew you the way someone knows their favourite quotes from their favourite piece of literature, then he wouldn’t have noticed your sadness.

V saw through your melancholy in your gestures, your words, and your expressions. It was visible in the way your shoulders were slightly slumped when you were cleaning the dishes, in comparison to when you normally stood up straight.

When you spoke, you zoned out and in the middle of your own sentence, you would start to stare into the distance with a faraway gaze. And everytime you smiled, it was slightly forced. There were no wrinkles around your eyes that were usually visible when you smiled genuinely, and your eyebrows would furrow.

V wanted to confront you about it, but he wasn’t sure how he would. So, rather than making a big deal out of it, V decided to comfort you with a small home-cooked romantic dinner. He texted one of your friends to take you out for a bit in the afternoon, so that he could prepare the meal and surprise you.

For the few hours you were out with your friend, you were incredibly confused as to why they would buy food to fulfill their hunger, and not let you buy anything. Needless to say, when you returned home, you were hangry.

“Jihyun, you wouldn’t believe the audacit--” You began, as you removed your coat, and hung it on the coat hanger. However, you trailed off when you saw your living room.

The lights in the room were dimmed. In the middle of the dinning table, there was a giant vase. In the vase, rose petals and a candle were floating. Around that specific giant vase, there were smaller vases, which also supported a floating candle. The candles were burning brightly in the alluring darkness of the room. Lastly, two plates of your favourite type of pasta, and two glasses of wine were placed on the table. The sight left you in awe. Your eyes drifted to Jihyun, who was standing beside the dinner table, wearing a bright pink apron, and smiling beautifully. His blue seafoam eyes were shining in pride.

“Surprise~! Do you like it?” V asked, as he pulled out a chair for you.

Your eyes lit up like fairy lights on a christmas tree. Finally, after so many days, you smiled widely and  You carelessly threw your bag on the couch, before walking towards the dinner table, with your stomach rumbling.

“I love this Jihyun, and I love you too.”

Saeran

(I had a major writer’s block for Saeran bc I can just imagine him comforting the MC with a mixture of V’s and Jumin’s scenario ;A;)

It was just a few lines imprinted on a piece of paper. They were just a few lines that shouldn’t hold so much power over you, but they did. The rejection was really devastating because you ended up locking yourself in your room. You felt like a failure because you couldn’t even get this right.

Saeran, who stood outside of your room, felt really upset because you were so upset. He felt helpless because he couldn’t do anything to better your situation, and in his eyes, you didn’t deserve this. You were so wonderful and selfless, and you deserved everything that was good. To him, someone as amazing as you shouldn’t have had to deal with so much pain.

He wanted to comfort you and let you know of all the things he loved about you, and everything that you were good at. And that was exactly what he did.

The next day, when you woke up from your slumber, you saw a few violets and a bunch of thyme tied together. Sleep was heavy in your eyelids, and your eyes felt sore and swollen due to all the crying that you had done. You blinked, before you picked up the adorable [favourite colour] card that was placed beside the flowers. You opened it, and read the handwritten message.

It read:

‘Thymes for your strength because you can handle and overcome anything. After all, you handle me. Violets for my loyalty to you, because you are amazing, and whatever you devote yourself to, you will achieve it. A piece of paper doesn’t decide your whole future.

           -Saeran.’

Your eyes widened. Your cheeks became flushed in a hue of red, and you felt warm. Finally, you got out of bed, and stepped out of your bedroom. Upon entering the hallway, you basked in the sunlight, and it felt really refreshing. That’s when you noticed that there were more flowers which were placed around your abode, and sweet messages attached to those flowers. The messages were in regards to what the flower represented, and you followed this trail of flowers and messages until you got to Saeran.

From reading all the beautiful things he had written about you, you were gleaming in joy. You walked towards Saeran, who was smiling softly at you, and held a single bunch of a certain type of purple flowers out for you.    

“Heliotrope because no matter what happens, I will  always love you.”
