Anna @fullmetalgirl98 and I also have a hell of a good time singing this one. The first time we did it we kind of went off the rails because damn this bitch ain't easy, but I nailed Doppo's verse and we both started jumping and might have traumatised a couple of nuns.

Hisui Meguno also know by his moniker Aphelios. Is a part time toystore clerk and violinist/dancer and the second memeber of Aomori division Howling moon

A mysterious youngman dressed in dark and colorful clothes, his appearance is very different from his aura of melancholy and sadness besides the bore look of his face noticed by the people who see him working on his adoptive father's toystore

He is always surrounded by a feeling of guilt and despite he never say it openly his goal in the DRB is related to certain person named "Kohaku"

Hisui is a short young man with brown complexion. His eyes are a reddish purple with eyebags under them and his hair is orange blonde with dyed pink tips until shoulders in a tousled bob, he has a bang that cover partially his left eye, something noticeable are the crack marks on a side of his face and that he has on all his body

Daily, Hisui dress a mix of pastel goth and emo fashion, his outfit consist of a dark purple off-shoulder shirt and a silver jacket, his lower body is covered by thig, ripped black jeans with different colorful belts in pink, lilac and turqouise and long boots to the knee. Hisui's rap themes are around things like the misery and sadness but also the guilt for anything, he raps about his own feelings of sadness or how he "is tired" but also mention the guilt, how he feels guilty for something in special. Aloof and lethargic, Hisui seems to be a serious person with a aura of melancholy and sadness around him. He acts nice but reserved with the toystore clients, talking just if them spoke him and out of that foccused on his own business. Hisuis is the type of person who can be see sleeping in anyplace with a calm look contrary to his gloomy usual or wandering just because he can do

But even with his gloomy and depressive episodes Hisui is surprisingly nice and empathic, understanding people's emotions and being able of helping them when he can. But ve also scolds them if it's neccesary or they made a mistake

With his family (adoptive father,sister and boyfriend) he acts more mischievous and a bit outgoing. Hisui smile and jokes more with them, acting teasingly but careful, loving his new family and being grateful with them. Despite it Hisui also could have moments where he feel a bit annoyed when Aoi,Akai and Ruka insist on take care of him during his depressive episodes or when he's having a bad moment with his health, that's because he sometimes think that he not deserve all the "warm and love" he has now due to his low self-esteem. In part for the experiments on him and the guilt for leave Kohaku, falling in depression when Hisui think how his beloved younger brother now hate him, but he trie (and fail) not show it when it happens

The reason why Hisui has all his healt problems is because the group not had the soul magic to modified properly a soul, and the scientist had not enoughly knowledge for take care of him

Hisui need to take too much meds in form of pills and inyections, that leave him track marks

Sometimes during his depressive episodes he tried to mix his different meds and use them as drugs

He was noticed by a person from Avici syndycate to the experiment, but the truth is that person originally noticed Kohaku as the experiment subject. and Hisui taked willingly his place as the subject, that's the reason why he leave Kohaku

Like his younger brother Hisui like sweets but he prefer the fruity mochi (especially strawberry) and the pastries

He meet Felix Sachishi because Hisui often goes to his bakery

Hisui loves Kohaku until today but he is aware of how he hate him, something that hurts Hisui more

OverDrive is Fukuoka’s representative rap team. It consists of butler Yuno Kamora, professional dancer Mai Yousei and their leader, idol Eko Seishin.

Their theme colour is electric blue, hence being similar to the natural element electricity. But it also highlights their drive to reach their ambitions.

The groups symbol is an electric blue music note that all 3 members have on an accessory; A chain on Eko’s watch, a design on Mai’s hat and a clip on Yuno’s bracer. It’s meant to represent their huge connection to the hypnosis mic which lead to the teams formation. The groups hand sign is the palm slightly down, which in body language means dominance.

Eko, Mai and Yuno are all childhood friends, as their strong ties put them together. In this sense, their rap styles are similar, but have their originality. All of them have had encounters with the hypnosis mic, which drives them to reach their goal through the hardships they’ve faced alone and as a team. They decided to enter the DRB to get closer to Chuohku and overthrow the Party of Words for good. ______________________________________ Now becoming a blockbuster team, their combined ambition only soars higher and higher. Continuing to make massive waves, OverDrives true chain of objectives unknowingly changed. Introduction ⚡️

Raiden Otoha(音羽雷電),  a.k.a. Tesla on rap battles is an electronics design engineer and the 2nd member of Chiyoda Division’s 狂音INC.. He’s a genius in the field of electronics, aspiring to one day be called a ‘mad scientist’ just like those he idolized so much since he was little. A former delinquent, Fusao saw potential in his brilliance and scouted him to work at his audio equipment company, Wonder⇓anD Sound Systems.

It’s believed that he joined the DRB not only to let people further know about his ‘genius’ but also to enact revenge against a certain priest from Ginza.

Appearance

Raiden is an albeit taller than average man in his mid-late 20s. His beige skin is littered with countless burn marks, most notably one on his right eye and at the palms of his hands. He has shoulder-length, black hair with blonde inner colouring dyed in to match his golden eyes, whose pupils grow abnormally large whenever he gets excited; sometimes, his bangs are held back by a yellow clip in the shape of a wing. He has two beauty marks under his left eye.

At work, Raiden is usually seen with a white button up, a black tie, black pants and brown dress shoes. His shirt is partially unbuttoned as to reveal the tattoo on his neck: an ECG graph.

Outside work, he puts on a beige overcoat and a black harness underneath that, and his dress shoes are replaced with knee-length boots whose soles further add onto his height.

He always wears gloves regardless of the situation.

Hypnosis Microphone

Raiden’s Hypnosis Microphone takes the form of a handheld mic, the band right between the windscreen and the handle has 2 prongs on opposite sides. The handle is black with a yellow triangle containing the letter T stylized to look like thunder on it, lastly, the bottom of the handle has a yellow lightning bolt sticking out.

Raiden’s speakers is a replica of the Wardenclyffe Tower, the lab building that accompanies the tower has all of its windows replaced with speakers. Lightning strikes the top of the tower depending on the beat. Whenever he activates his mic, a ‘high voltage’ warning written in white with a red glow flash around his speaker which disappears after a couple moments.

Raiden’s rap ability, Death Ray 936 electrocutes his target, stunning them for 3 turns, he can only use his ability for 3 times in one battle and the cooldown is loooooong.

Raiden’s rap themes mainly revolve around the mix of ‘lunacy’ and ‘genius’ and sinking further into madness. He references breakthroughs in the history of electromagnetism a lot; he also raps about how there’s one absolute truth: physics and that there is no higher being besides that. Another thing he raps about is refusing ‘adulthood’ not in the sense of growing older, but rather letting go of one’s dreams and aspirations just for pleasing the world around them and becoming a husk of yourself.

If it’s not his turn to rap he’ll most likely laugh like a maniac in the background.

Personality

Unfortunately for Raiden, he comes across as loud and obnoxious at first and practically lacks an inner voice. He believes in his own abilities a lot and this pretty much causes conflict with his co-workers quite often, though, he is very passionate towards his work, even if sometimes it doesn’t really align to the kind of job he took.

Due to a large part of his childhood, he has great distrust and disdain towards adults and has a different perception on what counts as one. He rarely gets along with people older than him.

Despite everything though, he’s an honest person through and through, he immediately goes to the point in things that he wants to say. He is very loyal to people he consider important and he can get quite overprotective toward his loved ones a lot, though this comes to a point that he wouldn’t hesitate to resort to violence (and even destruction) if it meant their sake.

As for that vigilante persona of his… that’s something else to talk about in another day.

Introduction

Lyall Shiba, also known as Corvus in rap battles, is a homicide detective for the Niigata Police Department and is considered one of their best despite his age. A once famous model and actor, everything changed for Lyall when he had a run-in with “The Sweetheart Killer” and became the only one to ever survive him. Now, after discovering that the person who attempted to kill him is participating in the D.R.B, Lyall has convinced his boss, Seiji Tsukimoto, to let him join his team. 

Lyall is a tall man in his early 20s with a lean figure and pale skin. He has slightly wavy black hair that stops at the base of his neck and right swept bangs covering his forehead. His eyes are bright turquoise and are hidden behind a pair of rectangular glasses.

He usually wears a black button-up shirt with matching dress pants, a dark blue vest, a matching tie, and black boots. For accessories, he wears a black belt with a silver buckle, a chain with a crescent moon dangling from the belt with his police badge situated on the opposite side, an assortment of rings on his hands, multiple piercings in his ears, a silver lion clip on his tie, a silver and black triple moon pin on his vest and a silver and black watch.

Lyall’s Microphone takes the form of a metallic black stand with silver swirls engraved on it, sitting where the mic should be is a dark blue crystal crescent moon with a silver wing sprouting from the side. In the middle of the crescent is a piezoelectric-style mic. 

His Speaker takes the shape of a gold and black statue of the Egyptian god Anubis. In their left hand is a golden spear, while in their right they’re holding a set of golden scales in front of him. Both sides of the scales have a circular speaker on them with one side of the scales higher than the other.

His rap ability, Cursed Bond, allows him to be bonded with his opponent, and if he is knocked out, his opponent is forcibly knocked out along with him.

Lyall’s rap centers about how we should honor the dead and that we should strive to never forget them. He raps about how he’ll never rest until he can give closure to the families whose loved ones have been brutally murdered. He also raps about the occult often making reference to imagery related to death. 

Personality

Lyall is known to be quite flirtatious and confident, with many falling for his charms and a smooth way of talking. Well aware of his good looks, Lyall is not above using them to get information out of people. His quick wit and sharp tongue often leave everyone in stitches, and he loves to keep them on their toes with his teasing and surprising antics. He is also quite intelligent, using his unmatched intuition and sharp observation to see through everybody, a skill he uses to his advantage. 

Lyall is extremely obsessed determined to solve his cases, going as far as to twist and even straight-up break laws at times. He is under of the opinion, that why should it matter as long as he can provide some sort of closure to the families of his victims. Even if it means getting in trouble with his supervisors. Lyall also is also quite empathetic and often thinks of other people's feelings, and, in some cases, he has been known to conceal facts to spare people from being scarred by the ugly truth.

However, underneath his charming smile, Lyall suffers from extreme guilt. Even now, Lyall doesn't understand why he of all people survived the Sweetheart Killer. It eats at him, with Lyall in the past even going as far as abusing drugs to ignore how he felt. Now, after learning that Touya Kisaragi has been allowed to roam free, Lyall can't help but feel something new. Revenge. Lyall can feel it festering within him. He can't help but want vengeance against the person who tried to kill him and who killed so many others, even if it means throwing everything else in his life away.

Lyall has a fondness for poetry and, in particular, for William Blake. 

Lyall has a pet Eurasian owl named Isis. He found her as an abandoned chick and nursed her back to health.

Lyall is quite fond of the occult and has several items connected to it in his house.  

Lyall is fluent in Japanese, English, and French.

Lyall is a pagan and is an active practitioner of witchcraft.

Lyall occasionally suffers severe pain from his scars but refuses to take medication for it. 

Lyall used to suffer from a pretty bad drug addiction, but he's been sober for a few years. He completely avoids painkillers now, even if it means being in agonizing pain. 

As of October 9th, 2024, Lyall has been in an official relationship with both Kaoru Shinozaki of Edogawa and Joey Kurusu of Kanazawa.

A self-proclaimed conman. He is the person responsible for developing Hypnosis Microphone and bringing it to Chuohku. Formerly affiliated with the military technical development department. Involved with Chuohku and other divisions, while operating behind the scenes, although this speculation is engulfed in mystery.

As charming as he is, he'll stop at nothing to carry out his plans. Although he always keeps an arrogant-like behavior and does not show his real intentions, at the same time, he is a man of his word with a strong sense of duty.

Father of the three Yamada brothers.

Appearance

Rei has wavy black hair and complete heterochromia; his left eye is green, whilst his right eye is grey, which is usually hidden behind his sunglasses. He has a beard and a scar on his right eye.

Rei wears a maroon shirt, black fur coat, white snakeskin pants and beige shoes. He also wears black brick patterned hat with a fan-shaped clip and multiple accessories: a black belt with a gold snake buckle, a gold watch and a large gold chain.

Rei’s Hypnosis Mic is a gold-and-black piezoelectric microphone that looks like a scepter. It is decorated with gold laurel accents and red details. His speakers take the form of a Japanese folding screen with a phoenix design.

Personality

Arrogant and pompous on the first glance, Rei uses his charm and other methods to manipulate people and get what he wants from them. Although he might be seen as a person who never takes anything seriously, Rei can easily change his attitude and become very serious, but it's hard to tell what he actually thinks about. Despite his twisted nature, Rei is a man of his word and has a strong sense of duty, however, he always keeps his real intentions in secret.

Although he is usually laid back and presumptuous in most situations, he can be serious and straightforward when it comes to serious affairs, giving important information to others or when scheming.

Etymology

Rei means "zero" (零).

This correlates to the "one", "two", and "three" in the Yamada brothers' given names.

Amayado means "heaven, sky" (天) (ama), "valley" (谷) (ya) and "guy, fellow" (奴) (do).

Notably, "Amayado" is almost an anagram of "Yamada" (there is no Japanese syllable that ends in D, hence the extra O).
