what is hypmic? is it a game, show, etc? and whats it about? :o (i know i could just look it up but im afraid of inadvertently giving myself spoilers, which has happened 2 me b4 ytguhjoik. hope u dont mind me asking! ^^;;)

im going to be honest, hypmic is one of the most confusing things to explain so I’m SORRY IF THIS MAKES LITTLE SENSE. But basically, hypmic consists of a bunch of anime dudes who sing/rap.

Their music is all on Spotify!

Each character is in a division (group) consisting of 3 guys per group! There’s a total of 6 different divisions; for example;

This is Fling Posse! My favorite division. All of the divisions are against each other and try to become the more superior division by rap battling.

The story behind hypmic is that they all live in an alternate universe where woman rule the world and have the men “battle/fight” via rap battling against each other, as a form of entertainment for the women. in this universe, weapons are outlawed and the only way to fight in through physiological damage.

There IS also a manga adaptation, but hypmic has not really ‘made it’ to the west yet, so finding the manga is pretty tricky and all of the translations are unofficial and raw. There is also drama tracks/cds that give more insight and info on the characters, but those are also hard to find decent translations for. There’s also an anime coming out as well which will hopefully get more light on hypmic here in the states!!

ive left out a LOT because hypmic is actually extremely deep in the content it has, and explaining it all is near impossible, BUT I hope this helps a little bit!! :D
