I spent the last hour scrolling the #hyperversum tag and i just finished all the content on it :)

(I'm not okay. I'm crying inside)

On one side I'm glad the fandom exists somewhat, on the other... There are like. 3 people?! (4 maybe) HOW. HOW IS IT POSSIBLE. It's like. The best trilogy ever. So good sjsjjs

(yes, I'm ignoring the second trilogy. I've read it, I don't like it, I'll just pretend it doesn't exist.)

Anyway. Now i want to re read it all again. To be fair it's been... Uhhhh.... 5 years? Since I've last read it. But then again last year i got the artbook soooo....

Yeah no. I'm definitely re reading the books (and making some fanart. Probably. I mean... I already have some Martwall doodles but uhhh years old and nothing serious)

Anyway. Hyperversum. Yay. Love it.

This is my gift to this fandom, silly drawings of himbo 1 and himbo 2. I tried to be faithful to their descriptions in the story but it’s highly likely I missed details </3 so Ian is Big Strong dummy and Daniel is Teeny Smol dummy.

All of you should maybe consider reading the Hyperversum saga by Cecilia Randall, an Italian author.

It's a great fantasy/sci-fi series of books and I've read half of it over the past few days (do not recommend, take your time, I am Insane), and is mostly set in the 13th century in France. The setting is great and it's written really well!

can we talk about the phenomenon of immersion while reading a book?

a fantasy world completely made up by the author and yet you feel like you can picture every detail in your mind

a book set in present day about something outside your life/experience at the end of which you feel somehow connected and more affectionate towards an aspect of your life, a discipline, a culture you previously couldn't care less about

a historical setting described so well that makes you feel like you're there

with just words

and above all, the feeling of having lost something once you stop reading or finish the book, because you were there just a page ago and it was real, but then you realize that those experiences are not really part of your life and you feel somehow robbed of those memories

not every book is like this but when you find one that does it well, DEAR GOD

it's such a bittersweet feeling
