I didn't actually remember much of Gurren Lagann before rewatching it and I was like 'isn't it funny how at first I based Atos off of Kamina but then toned him down over the years so now there's hardly any similarities'

And then I got to the part where Kamina's ghost proudly looks on towards Simon and I was like 'Oh...' so I redrew it

Made some adventure time ocs recently, Coelacanth Princess who lives in the Mariana Trench and is like several hundred million years old (avoided all those mass extinctions the mushroom war and the comet impacts by Being In The Deep Sea) and Flotsam the Hyooman, a young hyooman swept away from Beautopia by a flood and was dragged down to the deep sea by the ocean currents, ending up being taken in by Coelacanth Princess. Since Flotsam isn’t surrounded by hyooman societal pressures they let their fins poke through their hat, and living primarily in the ocean made them get a little tail.

Description: Her hair hangs just past her shoulders with two sections in front. She is wearing a hat with a flat brown rim and a red siren on top. She is wearing a short-sleeve loose white dress underneath a reddish-brown apron. The apron has a blue jewel on the collar, and she is also wearing a dial on her wrist. She has on brown boots with light brown edges.

Hyooman Defense

Description: Her hair is worn down and is the length of her body. She is wearing a floor-length ombre blue dress which is sky blue at the top and becomes dark blue at the bottom. The dress has a sweetheart top with short, heart-shaped sleeves, and a dark blue band around the waist. A similar dark blue choker is around her neck.

At  this  point,  the  cat’s  pretty  much  adopted  him,  as  cats  do;  there’s  no  denying  that  it’s  here  to  stay,  one  way  or  the  other.  He’s  even  found  himself  thinking  about  a  name  now  and  then,  and  then  stubbornly  talking  himself  out  of  it  because  that  would  be  admitting  he  has  a  cat,  and  he’s  too  busy  trying  to  tell  himself  that  it’s  just  a  stray  that  hangs  around.  Everyone  else  knows  the  truth.  Including  the  cat.  

He  shrugs,  though,  as  to  regretting  it;  he  tries  to  make  it  casual,  and  only  kind  of  succeeds.  "  Somehow,  "  he  says,  amused,  with  a  little�� squint  sidelong,  "  I  doubt  it.  "  The  notion’s  settling  in,  now,  and  it  makes  him  —— nervous,  somehow,  but  in  a  good  way.  It’s  not  the  uncertain  kind  of  nerves,  but  rather  the  rattly,  excited, warm  sort  that  he  tries  to  swallow  down  and  only  partially  succeeds.  

"  In  it  for  me?  "  he  echoes  with  a  blink,  looking  briefly  bewildered  as  though  he’s  not  sure  why  that’s  even  a  question.  "  Uh.  Someone  else  for  th’cat  to  curl  on.  "  He  pets  it,  though,  giving  it  a  good  scratch  under  the  jaw.  "  I  dunno.  There  have  t’be  somethin’  in  it  for  me?  I  like  havin’  you  here,  ’s  all  good  for  me.  "  He  smiles  into  the  kiss  to  his  cheek,  though,  and  gives  him  a  playful  swat  to  the  ass  as  he  turns.  "  Yeah,  yeah,  go  get  it,  I’ll  get  somethin’.  Sounds  good  t’me.  "  He  pulls  out  his  phone,  opening  it  to  scroll  through  a  couple  delivery  services.  "  Hell,  maybe  I’ll  be  able  t’steal  it  back  when  you  en’t  lookin’  now’n  then  ———  "

He attempts to hide the smile on his lips but he doesn't do a very good job - it's as close as he's going to get to Paerin admitting to having a cat and that's good enough. Aksel wouldn't admit to being a little attached to the cat itself and most certainly his owner, but he is. He's always wanted a dog of his own but a cat will suffice. The mechanic reaches down to give the cats head a light scratch behind the ears before letting him walk away, not without rubbing itself up against Paerin's leg first though.

Despite knowing he wouldn't have offered if he had minded, Aksel needed to be certain and the confirmation put his mind at ease. He didn't want to intrude, It was difficult to believe he wouldn't be when he had become so used to his own company. His words are spoken playfully, an empty threat - he hopes. " Words you may come to regret. " Paerin was right, they spent most nights together, he liked it that way - in fact it felt wrong when they didn't. Nights without the other man felt empty and long now. He could go as far as to say moving in with him, no matter how temporary, felt right. He'd just have to remind himself not to get too used to it.

" That is a big thanks. What's in it for you? " He knows and he can't keep a straight face when he asks the question. Instead of letting him answer he leans into him and presses a kiss to his cheek and then another. " Shall we order food? I do not know about you but after all this decorating - " He shrugged his shoulders. " I can bring the van around back whilst you order? Then we can eat and watch a movie, if you want. " Aksel's aware that he has slowed down, he's been living at a fast pace, avoiding slowing down for too long but now he wants that. " - I am still keeping your hoodie though. "
