Nothing is more disappointing then reading the book where we see actual physical evidence of petunia and Thea hanging out together, but it’s the worst one in the series and their interaction is just them failing the bechdel test. And a poor utilization of their characters…can’t say this is a fun discovery for yuriville but it is what it is…

Namami!Older!Bucchi

Nanami!Older!Bucchi is a very wise and reserved kind of hynea beastman, often appearing so calm and indifferent that he comes off as stoic and aloof. He seems like the kind of person who's too serious about his work, but Nanami!Bucchi just knows how to separate sentimentalism from service. He also fond of baked goods and is usually the last customer for the pastry chef due to his work schedule which usually ends with them talking for hours about how they overworked they are. It's been joked by Keiran, Venus!Diamond and Mirajane!Silver that he and the pastry chef are in love with each other.

Qin!Viper

Qin!Viper is extremely confident in himself despite his status as a servant to Al-Asim. He's also quite fearless especially when calling out the dorm leaders for either teasing or making fun of Yuu who he's quite fond of. He's described by Jamil to be "The Cursed Viper who has his freedom" due to his friendship with Sinbad!Al-Asim who actually treats him like a person and the fact that the only reason Sinbad!Al-Asim has Qin!Viper as a servant was the fact that Qin!Viper often calls him out more times than not which was something Sinbad!Al-Asim respected. His unique magic was definitely sealed away during his first year due to him collapsing when he first unlocked it which led to him being transferred from NRC to RSA first then back to NRC when he finally gotten it under control. Despite what happen to him, he's remained as Sinbad!Al-Asim's servant ever since.

Sinbad!Al-Asim

Sinbad is a very laidback and fun-loving person. He can be quite a flirt and is not above using his charm to get what he wants. He has flirted with a lot of people. Despite all this, he can be serious when needed and is a great and honorable noble who is respected by everyone he meets, especially his servants. He has been called out by Qin!Viper for his arrogance when they first arrived to NRC.

Barbie!LeBlanche (Based on Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse Barbie, not Movie Barbie)

Barbie!LeBlanche is a very passionate, bubbly, kind-hearted person and never has any bad intentions or will. They always helps others, even despite Vil's evil schemes towards their sibling. They are shown to be a social butterfly and outgoing, easily making friends, as they are  loyal, friendly, generous, and tries their hardest not to upset them. Barbie!LeBlanche is a fashion enthusiast, even owning their own giant boutique and is usually prepared in case of a fashion emergency/disaster.

I can see Nanami!Bucchi being someone Ruggie looks up to. Maybe that's where he gets his work ethic from. Either way, Nanami!Bucchi would 100% drop by Savanaclaw given permission and time to deliver food for Ruggie. And only for Ruggie, he tells his brother he's not allowed to share. He'd get Ruggie donuts from that pastry chef, but he'd definitely have to convince himself to give them up because he loves those donuts too.

Qin!Viper and Sinbad!Asim are definitely... characters compared to their brothers BAHAHAHA. I can see people expecting Sinbad!Asim to be the same as Kalim or vice versa depending on who they meet first, only to be met with an absolute curveball of a personality shift between the brothers. Meanwhile, Qin!Viper and Jamil would share some similarities (according to Azul at least, who finds both very amusing and fascinating) but Jamil would absolutely hate the fact that Qin!Viper draws so much attention to them. Like, his brother is ruining his plans PLEASE--

Barbie!LeBlanche would be just as loved by everyone as Neige is ajkdfhskj... OMG imagine Rook being a LeBlanche sibling fan. Vil would riot when he finds out 😭

God, he wishes he had flour with him. All this fighting has brought his skin to an uncomfortable warmth, and it's slowing him down. Pino grimaces as he backs into a corner, breathing hard - it takes several seconds for him to process the beasts circling around him like predatory animals.

As the cook gnashes his teeth together in an effort to frighten them off, everything suddenly feels... too much again. Tears (and yellow oil) collect in his eyes as the clones march steadily inward, giggling like hyneas...

... the surprised yelp of one gets them to turn, as Sacchetti barrels in! He's gripping one of the Fake Noise clones by the ankle, and with a powerful swing he atomizes another. That guy is just, gone. It's like he burst into dust particles.

Choujin X, Chapter 40.2 Thoughts

New chapter! New development for Palma Shishinegura's plotline along with the artificial choujin making experiments that Batista was having her conduct. I've got a lot of thoughts on her Choujin Form, especially the fur. Those are hyena spots on the fur which might be further evidence of her eventual connection with Azuma.

Shoujo with Corpses

Meet Palma Shishinegura first introduced to us as the Choujin zombie maker. Her ability lies in her blood which when transfused into corpses reanimates them into an undead state. She is first introduced in a throwaway panel that shows her walking with a corpse on her back while the plane Azuma is in crashes. In her second appearance she hears the details of her plane crash on the radio.

This timing could be foreshadowing an eventual connection between the same characters. Supported by the fact they've already encountered each other by coincidence when they were both searching for corpses from the plane crash on the same beach.

An oddly friendly encounter between an illegal back alley doctor that specializes in necromancy, and a Choujin who works for Yamato Mori the kind of organization that would hunt her down. They are also two characters who've been associated with Batista. Batista the masked Noh Face took a marked interest in Azuma on several occasions, and he also regularly does business with Palma.

However, their biggest connection revealed so far in this chapter is the hyena spots that apepared on Palma's choujin form after she mutates. The hyena was a reoccuring symbol who Azuma encountered several times during the period his Choujin powers had yet to awaken.

The second time they encounter one another, the Hyena asks Azuma directions to the ocean. Thi is right before his pseudo-death and reawakening as a Choujin. Azuma encounters the Hyena one final time after his battle with Tokio.

He finds the same Hynea dead on the beach being picked fed on by birds. The scene causes him to have a near breakdown as he shoos the birds away and breaks down crying over the corpse. Originally I just assumed Azuma's breakdown had more to do with his feelings over his awakening and his inability to return to his previous friendship with Tokio now that the both of them have changed.

However, what if this scene is also foreshadowing. Azuma also encounters Palma for the first time on the beach, and she's now associated with the same imagery of a hyena. What if this is foreshadowing a future scene or even a climax of their relationship. They meet again at the beach and Azuma witnesses her death (perhaps at the hands of Tokio because of the birds that were feeding off her corpse). Ishida may have already shown us how the entire scene is going to play out this early in the story. That would be some master class level foreshadowing.

On the left, the Gnoll! 7 foot hyena people with a dominance-focused culture! They might have a bit of instinctive bloodlust and drive to hunt, but they're passionate and big on family and super loyal!

On the right, Djinni! They're Air Genies! Mischievous, easygoing, and if they agree to grant a wish they rarely twist it. They can also restrain people with whirlwinds and summon both food and wine at will! They tend to have an indulgent "life is here to be lived" sort of mentality.

Since we’re getting young Maleficent and Hades, here are a few other young villains I would love to see in The Pocketwatch

Dr. Facilier is definitely one of the most interesting villains out there. I imagine he came from a poor family and was disrespected by the rich, making him want to uproot them. I also imagine his name would be Jamal because Jamal Facilier just sounds right. I feel like Issac Ryan Brown can definitely be as shady and seductive the voodoo Witch Doctor

We’re already getting Ursula’s sister, so why not Ursula herself? I really just want to know why she was banished from the kingdom cause that reason varied throughout the years. I’d like Sofia Wylie to play her, mainly cause like Kylie (Red) and Dara (Ulyana) she was in the Descendants Remix Dance Party. She would be a great Ursula

I want to know how Scar got his scar! That reason has also varied. I wanna know how he met the hyneas, why he exiled himself and so much more. Roman Banks has a great voice, I believe he would carry a cover of Be Prepared

I’ve always wondered why the Evil Queen was obsessed with being the Fairest of them All. She’s clearly insecure and I wanna know her upbringing, how she got her mirror, practiced witchcraft, and more. Freya Theodora Parks was amazing as Hester in the School for Good and Evil, I’m sure she can handle being another villain

Jafar is totally a villain whose backstory is worth exploring. I imagine he started out poor and I’d love to see his rise to power and how he became where he was in Aladdin. I’ve always imagined Joshua Bassett as a villain and I think he could play young Jafar very well
