AHAUAIHAVENAKAK. the amount of times i’ve thought of rockstar hyeju is crazyyy >_< she fits the concept soo well.. and she is totally the type to fuck a fan backstage tbh.. it boosts her ego sooo muchhh.. lemme elaborate bae
warnings: english isn’t my first language, fem reader, band leader!dom (maybee switch???) hyeju, loossemble is actually a rock band, but other members aren’t really mentioned a lot , yves is your friend, oral (hyeju rec.) fingering (reader rec.), edging, thigh riding (reader rec.), hyeju gets jealous for a sec ^_^, marking, lmk if i missed any!!
minors dni
a loud “i hope you’re all enjoying the show!” rings throughout the venue, triggering screams and cheers through the crowd as the intro to day by day plays. from who? hyeju, your not-so-secret celebrity crush.
“but yvessss, hear me out!” you plead, holding your phone out to show your best friend the new selfies that hyeju just posted. and she just hums and shrugs in response. “mm.. she’s pretty i guess!” she says nonchalantly, taking a sip of her iced coffee. “you guess??? it’s son hyeju you’re talking about. she isn’t ‘i guess she’s pretty’ material!” you defend her almost like you actually know her.
yves sighs and shakes her head, rolling her eyes as she places the plastic cup back on the table. “look, yn.. if you really wanna see this chick so bad, i may or may not have a friend who’s also in loossemble. gowon could easily get you tickets, maybe even get you pretty close for the next show!” she offers, her expression acting like it’s nothing. “wait- are you serious? you’d do that for me?? could you??” you ask, eyes wide as you’re about to practically jump on the table. “yeah, i’ll do it right now.”
which is how you’re here, trapped in the pit with other fans bumping into eachother, hands reaching out to touch any of the members, even for a split second the second one of the girls met your section.
but one girl was particularly having fun near your section. none other than your celebrity crush.. hyeju. bringing her little breaks to where you could see her up close, to where you could see the blisters on her fingers from her guitar, and she especially had fun holding her fans hands, but she lingered on one especially— yours.
when she had a small break, she got your attention best she could, mouthing a ‘stay here after the show.’ before she’s going back to playing a sweet instrumental for the other girls, her dreamy vocals coming in every so often too. it was such a perfect night.. and it was about to get a hell of a lot better.
regrettably, the night came to an end. the last song fading to an end as hyeju bows and waves to her crowd. “wishing you all and excellent night! hope you enjoyed the show!” she yells, walking across the stage to make sure every section gets a proper goodbye.. especially yours, she lingers around it for a few seconds, nodding her head to you to make sure you actually stay. and stay you do.
as the venue clears out, your nerves rise more and more. what if she was talking to some other fan? you hang around the side of the area, nails tapping on your thighs nervously, mind racing with thoughts. until they stop when you feel a hand wrap around your wrist. it’s hyeju.
you could honestly die right then and there. the way she nods her head to follow her as she keeps a tight grip on your wrist, pulling you backstage. “what’s your name?” she asks, leaning her head back as she walks ahead of you. “u-uh.. yn!” you stutter, blushing at how quick this is all going. “hm, cute. nice to know the name of the girl who’s about to eat me out.” she says confidently, pulling you into the dressing room quickly, locking the door behind her. “i’m gonna do what??” you say, eyes darting around the somewhat small room. “surprised you haven’t guessed yet. you haven’t heard the rumor of how i get rid of stress after shows?” she chuckles, patting your shoulder as she leans against the door. “i- um..!!!!!!!” you sputter, eyes trying to look at anywhere but her. hyeju. your literal celebrity crush. the one who’s about ‘relieve her stress’.
she smiles and rolls her eyes, hand reaching up to your hair to push you down to your knees. “fucking ruin me, babe. who knows, maybe i’ll let you ride my thigh if you do well-“ before she can even finish her sentence, you’re agreeing, fingers gliding under the waistband of her skirt and pressing kisses on her thighs. “okay… you don’t have to. just wanna help you.” you mutter against the skin, looking up at her. “mmhm… don’t leave me waiting now.” she says, fingers running through your hair.
and with that, your fingers are hooked under her waistband, pulling her skirt and panties down to her ankles, and as you do so, a small pang of guilt hits you. you’re literally just a one night stand for some girl who knows you like her.. well.. hyeju isn’t just some girl.. so maybe it’s not that bad..
you place small pecks on her thighs before finally connecting your lips to her core, which has her gripping your hair tighter and her hips bucking against your face, which leaves you whimpering against her as your tongue goes in and out of her, leaving her a moaning mess. “p-please.. w-what’s your name?” she whines out. “never mind… just- you’re doing so good, b-baby..!!” she squeaks, thighs squeezing around your head as you continue her work on her. your hands glide up and down her thighs, before one of your hands snake up her thigh, fingers teasing at her entrance.
her eyes flutter shut at the feeling, a moan leaving her lips as your fingers go in and out of her, plus the added feeling of your lips on her just has her going crazy.. “um.. i’m close-“ she mumbles, grip tightening on your hair, which has you giggling against her. her hips are ever so slightly bucking into your face as she chases her release, and who are you to stop her?? with that, her release crashes into her like a wall of bricks, a broken whine leaving her lips as you help her ride out her high, and as she calms, a string of praises leave her as her fingers haphazardly run through your hair.
after a moment, hyeju calms down enough to sit down on a chair, pulling you up from you knees and bringing you to sit on her lap, shakily slotting hee thigh between yours. she looks up at you, and you notice how flushed her cheeks are before she speaks quietly, a tone of dominance back in her voice. “…fucking let me ruin you, baby. you did so well, gotta return the favor.” her hands are running all up your sides, before her experienced hands are sliding your panties off and tossing them to the table next to her.
her callused fingertips run down your slit, a low chuckle leaving her as she shakes her head. “you’re so wet.. jesusssss. i know you’re into me, but like.. all you did was eat me out. so needy..” hyeju teases, and you just whine in response, turning your head away. “ah ah…” she starts, fingers gripping your chin before turning your gaze back to her. “keep your eyes on me, baby.” she snaps, fingers inserting you in one fast motion, drawing a broken whine from you. “hyeju-“ you whine, but hyeju cuts you off. “what? you want me to stop?” she taunts, another low chuckle leaving her. “no, noooo please don’t stop!!” you whine, hands weakly pawing at her. “i won’t baby, i won’t… um.. how about you tell me about yourself? you know.. like why you like the band and stuff.” she says nonchalantly, almost like she isnt even fingering you and you’re not slowly unraveling on her lap right now..???!?? “u-um- well.. i’ve liked your band for a while.. m-maybe a f-few y-“ you cut yourself off with your own moan, and hyeju coos before she speaks again. “aaah, i probably should’ve mentioned this, if you stop talking, i’ll stop. so don’t mess up~”
this is going to be torture. “o-oh.. right. um. i think y-you’re definitely my favorite.. but i- i like hyunjin, too!” her fingers thrusts up into you harder, a tsk leaving her as she shakes her head. “nottttt the right thing to say to the girl who’s fucking you.. plus what’s wrong with just me? huh? you want her to fuck you instead?” she says in a rather mad voice, her fingers thrusting into you with reckless abandon at this point. “no-! no- only you!!” you whine, fingers digging into her shoulder. “mhm… that’s what i thought. keep talking, baby.” she scoffs, her gaze falling to the side for a second as she still uses you with what seems to be literally all of her arm strength. “u-ummm.. i don’t know.. i really like your music.. you’re really good at making it.. and you’re really pretty..!! a-and you have good selfies and outfits and you’re actually so c-charming it’s crazy.” you’re rambling.. but it’s not your fault you can barely think straight.
hyejus grows a small smile as she looks back up at you. “awww, really?” she coos. of course. she knows that so many people think that of her. but it reallyyy boosts her ego. and it’s definitely shown in the way she adds another finger, slowly easing it in before continuing her pace from before. catching you off guard, you can feel a heat rising in your stomach quickly and your walls fluttering as hyejus talented fingers ruin you. “i- god..! im c-close..” you mumble, and as soon as hyeju sees you reach your peak.. she pulls out.
“w-wha… hyeju…” you whine, clenching around nothing now, but hyeju just laughs and shakes her head. “what? dont go complaining yet. did you think you’d only get my fingers? that’s pathetic.” she says, easily moving you to have her thigh slotted between yours. her hands find their way to your hips, grip so hard it’s probably bruise.. “ride.” she says bluntly, and you can feel her thigh flex under you. “you- i- okay..” you whisper, the second you start to rut your hips against her, you feel like you could snap any second. especially with the way she starts to leave splotchy, purple marks on your neck and collarbone. your lips part in shock at the feeling, a light gasp leaving you. hyeju chuckles, hands guiding you to move faster on her thigh. “doing so well, baby.” she praises, a smirk on her face as she watches you slowly unravel, quick and short whines drawing out more and more.
“hyeju.. feels so good.” you whine, hiding your face in her shoulder. she just hums in approval, her grip tightening on you even more, guiding you to just keep going, we couldn’t have you stopping, right??
“wanna see you cum, can you do that for me??” she asks, one hand coming up to stroke your hair. “mhm~” you whine against her, and at this point, you’re definitely out of it. you can’t really think straight or speak coherently, and that just makes hyeju chuckle, but she isn’t teasing you about it..
you leave small pecks on her shoulder, still rocking your hips against her thigh as hyeju just helps you reach your climax. you’re getting closer, and closer.. until you feel a pressure build in your stomach, a broken whine leaving you. “i- ‘m close…!” you wail out, and hyeju doesn’t deny you it. in fact, she presses her thigh against you even more, gripping your hips so tightly, (they definitely left a bruise in the morning..) guiding you quickly against her thigh, because nothing boosts her ego more than seeing some random girl unravel for her.
“let go, baby.” she whispers, and with that, you’re finishing like you haven’t before, and you swear that for a split second, you didn’t really have much guilt about.. well getting literally ruined by your celebrity crush.
as you fell from your high, heavy breaths against her shoulder and hyeju trying to keep in her laugh at how cute you looked, she left small pecks on your cheeks, caressing them softly. for being a one-time thing.. this was oddly affectionate. she sighs a little, flipping your skirt back down, as she helps you off her lap. she leans back in her chair for a second, eyes falling on the table she threw your panties on. “hey, quick question… do you think i could keep those?”

The Fallen Angel
Olivia Hye (Loona) x Female Reader
*Requested*
(1 part - completed ✅)
Word Count: 6,063
Summary: *Loonaverse short story*
Olivia Hye, an angel created in Heejin's image, was inherently corrupted upon conception: half of her heart filled with purity and the other half cursed with sin. The only way for her to break free from the ignorant bliss of Eden is to partake of the Forbidden Fruit and gain knowledge of the Loonaverse. But, in order to do that, she must learn to love the dark part of herself first.
What happens when a strange girl appears in Eden and makes Olivia Hye begin to question everything she's ever known?
Will Olivia still be able to accept the corruption within her or will it consume the only remaining light in her heart?
"After all, Lucifer was a Fallen Angel"
After what felt like a year of darkness (but was realistically probably just a few seconds), I woke to a million new things invading my senses. Birds chirping. Leaves rustling in the cool breeze. The smell of fresh air. The feeling of warm sunlight against my skin. Before I even opened my eyes, my lips turned up in a smile. My journey to another world was successful.
Eden.
My eyelids finally fluttered open once I adjusted to the bright sun rays casted down through the gaps in the leaves. Slowly turning in a circle, I took in the environment around me. It was just like everyone described: full of nature and life. From an outsider's perspective, it was beautiful and might even be considered a Utopia. But, I knew better.
Eden was far from perfect.
That is, unless you are a believer in the statement "ignorance is bliss". You see, Eden is technically a Utopia. All you could ever want is yours with a simple snap of your fingers. There would be no need to leave and venture out into the real world. Although, with every seemingly perfect deal, there was always something you had to give up. A catch, if you will.
In Eden, that catch just so happened to be truth and knowledge.
As long as you do not partake of the Forbidden Fruit, you are free to live with whatever you could ask for, yet remain oblivious to the true evils of the world around you. But, as you may know from the stories, there comes a point when those in Eden begin to question the one in charge. Their creator. God.
What could be so devastating, yet so valuable that would cause your own creator to cast you out for trying to pursue it? It makes you wonder whether a Utopia is really worth living in if you don't know what you're missing outside of it. I was sure the 4 girls residing here now were going through that exact struggle.
Fortunately for me (or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it) I knew the truth of the world and had knowledge of the Loonaverse. I left Eden long ago with the help of an Odd Eye bearer. Now, I possessed an Odd Eye myself and was sent on a mission of my own. But since those residing in Eden have not had their eyes opened to the truth of the Loonaverse, I was not prohibited to grant them that knowledge myself. All I could do was aid in their own discovery.
Although, as I left the Möbius forest and approached the mansion of Eden, I realized that my mission might not be as challenging as I first thought it would be. Only one of the four were still inside; the rest, nowhere to be seen. Based on the disapproving scowl planted on the humanoid projection of the creator, I assumed they had gotten into something they weren't supposed to. Likely hiding away in the Garden of Eden. It made me wonder if Yves had already persuaded the other members to partake of the Fruit.
I supposed I would be given the opportunity to ask when Olivia Hye's eyes noticed me in the distance. It must've been a strange sight to see, a new girl in Eden that she didn't recognize. Once people left Eden, they couldn't come back. But, of course, I wasn't just a normal person. The blue Odd Eye bearer who saved me was also the one who granted me my own Odd Eye, which gave me the ability to travel between worlds.
My original color was white, pure. Because of Jinsoul, it was tainted with blue. When mixed, the light blue color symbolizes peace and trustworthiness. However, the black sin from Jinsoul's royal blue became a permanent curse upon me. This mix of purity and trustworthiness with the corruption of sin is what made me the perfect member to persuade Olivia Hye: a girl who was cursed with a mix of purity and sin herself.
Just from looking at her I could sense that she was dealing with an internal dilemma. I felt it sometimes myself: a battle between the light and the dark. It was like having an angel and a devil talking to you on each shoulder. Yet, I'm sure she felt the darkness even more than I did. There was very little black in my heart. Olivia's, on the other hand, was split right down the middle. Half filled with darkness, half with light.
She wanted to do the right thing and obey God. Not partake of the fruit and live in her image. But she also felt the pull to defy God. To break away from this boring, meaningless world and finally know the truth. Even though I knew that she would be happier here, I also knew that one person's happiness was not the priority. There was a mission to fulfill and sacrifices had to be made in order to complete it. That was my initial mindset...
Until I met her.
"Wait!" The very girl in question yelled after me. I couldn't have the creator aware of my presence, especially considering I was here with the sole purpose of persuading Olivia to defy her. That is why I ran back into the forest.
Instead of using my teleportation abilities to escape the black haired girl, I allowed her to follow me further into the forest. Once we were far enough away from the mansion, I pretended to trip and fall to the ground. Her footsteps approached quickly until she stopped dead in her tracks.
I turned around, acting as if I was confused. She stood close by, towering above me. Her eyes scanned over my face and then to my body, looking just as confused as I probably did. It seemed like she wanted to ask me about a million different questions, but the one she voiced slightly caught me off guard.
"Are you okay?" I just stared at her for a moment, not understanding why she was immediately so concerned for a strange girl she had just met. Was she really that caring or was she just desperate for human interaction?
"I-I think so." I stuttered, acting as if I was disoriented. I carefully stood up and wiped the dirt off my clothes. Olivia Hye still just observed from a few feet away.
She probably felt awkward and unsure of what to do considering she's never had to deal with a stranger before. For years it's just been her and the other three girls. Yet, I had a feeling even that was beginning to change.
"So, let me get this straight..." I looked over at Olivia, focusing on her legs dangling off the balcony of the mansion. She helped me sneak in without the "teacher" (the creator) noticing (I could've easily teleported inside myself but I couldn't let her know about my Odd Eye). We had been talking for the past few hours, trying to make sense of both of our situations.
She was shy at first, not really knowing what to say, but eventually she got comfortable talking to me. The entire time I had to act as if I had amnesia. It felt wrong lying to her but, as I said before, I wasn't allowed to give her knowledge of the Loonaverse. She would have to take that step herself. Right now, all I could do was try my best to get a grasp of the situation at hand.
"Yves found out that the teacher was supposedly hiding the truth from all of you, then she convinced the other members to go with her into the Garden of Eden, only for them to never return?" I recited a summarized version of the story she just told me to make sure I was understanding correctly. She nodded her head in confirmation, never looking back at me. "So you've been here by yourself ever since then?" Once again, she nodded. There was a frown on her face as she stared longingly into the forest where her friends disappeared to.
At first, I thought Yves's plan was clever. I was beginning to think that maybe I should've never intervened. If Olivia Hye was left in isolation for long enough, she would slowly learn to love the dark part of herself. Eventually, the betrayal of her friends would drive her to partake of the Fruit and leave Eden once and for all. The process would happen without any need for intervention.
But, the more I got to know her over the next few weeks, the more I realized that she didn't deserve it. She was pure. Although her grey heart was halfway corrupted by sin, the light side was stronger. She never chose that sin. The black was a product of her conception: Within Heejin's pink was white and on the opposite side of the spectrum was black. It was inevitable that one of the angels created in her image would be inherently corrupted.
The fallen angel. Doomed with darkness. It just so happened that would end up being Olivia Hye.
Now that I was here, Yves's plan was bound to fail. However, I knew what I had to do to get both of us back to Earth. It wouldn't be easy, it would take time and patience, but something deep within myself told me that Olivia Hye was worth the effort. That she needed to be saved or else everything would go wrong.
After all, Lucifer was a fallen angel.
A few weeks later...
"There you are, I've been looking all over for you." I said, exasperated from running around the house. "Do you know how hard it is to get anywhere in this place with that freaky lady around every corner?" Olivia had her back turned to me as I walked further into the empty room. Now that I let my eyes wander, I realized I had never been in here before. It was dark with only a few thin strips of light entering through the closed curtains. "Seriously, I'm convinced she can see through walls or something." I joked, waiting for her to join in or start laughing. "It's a miracle I haven't gotten caught y-" I stopped dead in my tracks.
There, in front of her, was a mirror reflecting her own face back at her. Once I could actually see it, my heart dropped in my chest. The only thing I could focus on was the tears streaming down her face. In all the times I had seen Olivia Hye, she had never, ever shown her vulnerable side to me. Her expression was permanently stone cold, besides very rare occasions when I made her smile or laugh.
She was clearly the type of person who held her emotions in. Too afraid to let them show: because of judgment or her own dignity, I wasn't sure. Or maybe she didn't even let herself feel them, instead burying them deep inside and hoping that they'd never surface. Whatever the case was, the only thing I knew was that, right now, in this moment, she couldn't keep them in any longer.
I didn't wait another second before rushing to her. My arms wrapped around her body just before she collapsed to the ground, sobbing uncontrollably. From the moment we made eye contact on my first day here in Eden, I just knew she was battling her own inner demons. I'm sure those days, or weeks, after her friends left her alone definitely didn't help either.
I suppose it was just naive of me to think that I was doing all I could to fix her. Sometimes other people aren't the solution, especially when it comes to mental health. In reality, it was up to her to come to terms with what she was going through and figure out her own solution. So I just did all I could to comfort her.
Even though I was there to try and mend the pieces of her heart back together, they were still ultimately broken. Yves's plan didn't fail completely after all. Except it only went halfway. Olivia felt the pain of betrayal, but she wasn't left alone long enough to learn how to love the dark part of herself.
Because I was there.
When this realization began to register in my mind, it was all too late. She stood up from my arms and stormed out of the room. I was left sitting on the ground, staring at my own reflection in the mirror. A defeated look was permanently etched across my face as one thought crossed my mind:
When did it all go so wrong?
After frantically teleporting around Eden for the past hour in search for Olivia Hye, I finally found something. A massive, grey building in the middle of the forest. Although it seemed to stick out like a sore thumb amongst the bright green trees, I knew it was practically invisible to everyone else. Simply because Olivia Hye controlled who had access to it. You see, it wasn't an actual building that existed in Eden, or anywhere in the Loonaverse for that matter.
It was Olivia Hye's mindscape...
A landscape that personified her own thoughts and emotions. It was an extremely personal and sacred part of herself. This is why only people who Olivia Hye gave permission to were allowed in. It reflected her true self. Although, she still had control over which parts of her mind I could see and which ones I couldn't.
The first thing I noticed when I entered was what appeared to be a concrete, underground parking lot. Everything was in black and white. The lines painted on the ground were white, and the floor, ceiling, and pillars were grey. The garage stretched so far in the distance, making it appear as if I were stuck in a never ending corridor, each direction only leading to darkness.
"Olivia?" I shouted, causing my voice to echo all the way down until it gradually faded, never reaching a stopping point. Chills wracked my body as an eerie feeling set in. If this is what Olivia's mindscape looked like, no wonder she's losing it. This place was lonely and consumed by darkness.
A sudden distant sound caused me to turn around. I caught a glimpse of a figure dressed in white with long black hair (although, considering everything was in black and white, it could've been any other dark color for all I know). This time I didn't hesitate before following after her. It had to be Olivia Hye, who else could it be?
I listened to the echo of her footsteps, running as fast as I could to keep her receding figure in my line of sight. Considering I never lost her, I was beginning to think she wasn't running from me, but instead, leading me somewhere. Before I could question her motives any further, she turned a corner, momentarily disappearing from view.
Once I turned the same corner, I blinked and ended up in a completely different place. In front of me appeared to be the inside of a warehouse. Different pipes and machines were scatter around the floor and lined the walls, creating a narrow walkway. I turned around and, to my surprise, there was no parking garage behind me. Instead, I was met with a solid concrete wall. Possibly another layer in Olivia Hye's mindscape, I guessed.
"Why are you here?" She finally spoke. Startled, I instinctively spun around, my eyes searching for the source of the voice.
"What do you mean?" I answered her question with another and started walking. She had to be nearby. "You are the one who invited me here." I pointed out, referring to how she gave me permission to enter her mindscape with her. Another noise sounded in the distance, making me turn towards it. She now appeared to have black clothing on, gliding through the building like a shadow.
"I meant," the voice came from my left, causing my head to jerk in that direction. I saw her figure for a second until she disappeared again. "Why are you here, in Eden?" Her voice then could be heard from my right, but that wasn't what shocked me. It was the insinuation behind her question. Did she know something? Did I foolishly give something away about who I really was?
No, surely she was just having a lapse of judgement and questioning me because she had been betrayed before. "I told you already, I don't know. I just woke up here one day with no recollection of my life from before." I tried my best to sound calm even though I was anything but. My heart raced in my chest as I continued chasing her like a little kid chasing a shadow: pointless and I would most likely never catch up to it, but I still tried.
"You know, I don't think it's unreasonable for me to find it strange, considering no one ever just wakes up in Eden." Her voice was growing more accusatory by the second and I felt the situation slipping out of hand.
"Olivia, I don't know what to tell you." I stalled for a moment, trying to think of the right thing to say without flat out lying to her face. I had done enough of that already, it didn't seem fair or even logical at this point. "I only ever wanted to help you." It was the truth. That's the exact reason why I came to Eden. Well, maybe not at first, but somewhere along the way it ended up becoming my main purpose.
"You know, I really wanted to believe that." Her voice was closer and I could hear the brokenness in her tone. "And maybe I did for a while." She chuckled bitterly, each laugh echoing through the warehouse and making me cringe. "But, then I finally realized that you've been deceiving me this whole time."
Just like before, I heard her footsteps tapping against the concrete ground. Even though it was dark, I ran blindly ahead, letting the sounds guide me. Soon enough, there appeared a light at the end of the walkway. This time it was from an open doorway on the other side of the warehouse. I watched as Olivia Hye's dark figure was outlined by the white light pouring in. It grew smaller and smaller as she approached it and eventually dissolved completely when she walked through.
Closing my eyes, I continued to blindly trust her and run through the doorway myself. My feet stopped moving when I heard nothing but silence surrounding me. I opened my eyes once more, finally noticing some color after only seeing in black and white. I was in a hallway with no end in sight, but this time, the walls were tinted with blue. Behind me was another solid blank wall, granting me no escape.
I took a deep breath in and out, trying my best to calm my erratic heartbeat. I had to keep reminding myself that this was all in Olivia Hye's mind. Just a figment of her imagination. It wasn't real.
Surely nothing could hurt me in here, right?
"You!" I jumped backwards out of fright when Olivia Hye's figure appeared at the end of the hallway. "You are no better than them!" She yelled as the anger began to radiate from her eyes in the form of red beams of light. "You lied to me!" The red became so intense that it started to cloud my vision.
"No, Olivia!" I yelled desperately, finally realizing just how much I had hurt her. "I meant it when I said I only wanted to help you." My hands instinctively raised in front of my face in an attempt to cover the blinding light. "You have to believe me!" I shouted honestly.
"Why should I trust you when everything you've said to me has been a lie?!" Her voice grew distorted as she became angrier. This was not the Olivia Hye I started to grow fond of over the past few weeks. No, this was the version of herself that she fought so hard to keep buried deep down. But now she had finally snapped and let it take over.
At this point I couldn't help but panic. Was she already too far gone? Had I really failed this suddenly? I thought we were just starting to build a relationship. But maybe all this time she was able to see through my white lies. Although, I couldn't afford to think like that. The fate of the Loonaverse depended on her. Even more than that, I knew that I couldn't lose her to the darkness.
She meant too much to me now.
"You're right." I said sadly and, for a moment, her beaming red eyes faltered. She was caught off guard, so I kept going. "I haven't been completely honest with you, so you have no reason to trust me." This seemed to ignite her anger once again and the red continued to grow around me. "But, believe me when I say that it wasn't easy... lying to you. I never wanted to." Slowly my vision was being consumed by red and I knew I was losing her. "You have to understand that I can't tell you the full truth. Not now, at least. And I know that seems unfair and confusing." I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, allowing myself to finally stable my voice before continuing. She needed to know that I was being truthful.
"I did all of this for a reason. I came here for a reason. And that reason... is you, Olivia Hye." My eyes stayed shut as I heard her approaching slowly. Whether she was angry and ready to strike, or neutral, I didn't know. But that didn't matter to me now. All that mattered was that she knew the truth. "Because you are worth saving. No matter what you might think, you deserve to be loved."
For a moment it was silent. I didn't know what to expect after I finished. In all honesty, I was scared to open my eyes. The sound of her footsteps seemed like a distant memory at this point and the vision of her laser eyes faded from my mind. Eventually, I felt a hand placed on my shoulder, causing me to open my eyes.
Unlike I expected, Olivia was not standing right in front of me. Instead, there was a metal railing a few feet away that seemed to be surrounding some sort of pit. Finally, light came pouring in from the top and all colors returned. I hesitantly walked towards the railing and looked down. The scene before me could easily be described in three simple words:
The Fallen Angel.
At the bottom of the pit sat a mattress with Olivia Hye laying on top, surrounded by white and red feathers. Her body was in such a position that made it seem like she had just fallen from the sky and landed there. If I wasn't so preoccupied with concern for her well-being, I would've thought the scene was quite picturesque. But of course, nothing beautiful lasts forever.
She sat up abruptly and frantically scanned her surroundings. It resembled someone waking up from a bad dream. Although, it seemed as if Olivia's reality was just as traumatic. She finally looked up at me and I could tell her eyes were filled with regret.
"I'm sorry." Was the first thing that left her mouth. It was then I knew that the good Olivia Hye was back. The true Olivia Hye.
"It's okay." I said honestly, walking to the edge and leaning over the railing.
She looked away and shook her head. "No, it's not okay. Look at what I put you through." The words left her mouth quickly as she scolded herself. "You were terrified of me, I could've hurt you, I could've-"
"Olivia!" I cut her off. "Look at me." She eventually did as I asked, although I could tell she was still beating herself up inside. "You had a right to be mad at me, I can't fault you for that." I sighed, still ashamed of myself for not being honest with her sooner. Although it wasn't that simple.
"No, you should be the one mad at me." She looked away and stood up, letting her negative thoughts overtake her again. "And you're wrong, I don't deserve to be loved." Her voice began breaking as she turned her hatred inward. "This dark part of me... I'm not worth saving. I-I'm a monster." Just like she did a few hours ago in front of the mirror, she broke down. The tears spilled from her eyes and she fell to her knees on the mattress.
I ran to the other side of the railing, trying desperately to get close to her so I could comfort her. But there was no way down. She would have to come up if she wanted to leave. It was all up to her at this point. I felt helpless as I watched the sobs wrack her body.
"Olivia, you have to realize that that's not true." I yelled, loud enough for her to hear, but she still kept crying. "Why do you think this darkness took over in the first place?" I questioned. She got quieter but still didn't respond. "Because of your friends betrayal... if you didn't care for them in the first place, you wouldn't have been so affected when they abandoned you."
Her sobs slowly turned to sniffles and now I knew she was listening. "Just because you get angry sometimes doesn't mean you're a monster... it means you care." My voice softened as I looked at her empathetically. "You care enough to get angry about the things you miss and to protect yourself from getting hurt any further." Finally she was done crying and looked back up at me.
"But look at what I did to you... That part of me will always be there." Her voice was broken and her eyes were red and puffy. It pained me to see her like that, but the way my heart clenched in my chest just reminded me how much I cared about her.
"Yes, it will be." I admitted with a frown. "But, look around you." My arms raised slightly as I gestured to the sunlight around us. "We're both safe... You never did anything to hurt me." A smile made its way onto my face at the thought. "Clearly you have control over both sides of your heart if you were able to bring me here, back to the light." I reasoned, and a look of realization crossed her face.
However, she continued to try and counter my argument. "I still let the darkness take over and cloud my judgement. This could've ended much worse, if you didn't say what you did."
I sighed, shaking my head. "You still don't get it, do you?" Her eyes squinted in confusion as she waited for me to continue. "You were mad at me all that time because I lied. I was saying things you didn't believe to be true. But once I said that you deserved to be loved... you started to believe it yourself." She opened her mouth to protest again but I continued.
"Whether you like it or not, the darkness is a part of you. And I know you didn't choose it... neither did I. But you have to realize that both the light and the dark are what make you, you." I paused for a moment, letting my words sink in. She looked like she was finally starting to believe what I was saying. "You have to accept it. In order to truly love yourself, you have to love everything about you, including the imperfections."
My words hung in the air for a moment afterwards, weighing heavy in Olivia's mind. She seemed to come to a conclusion soon after, acting without speaking. Her feet carried her to the edge of the pit, directly below where I was standing. She reached her hand up and I immediately leaned over to pull her out.
As soon as I made contact with her skin, I blinked and ended up in a completely different place for the fourth time today. Somehow this time felt like the last.
The final destination.
I stood at the top of a skyscraper, surrounded by an empty city. The sun was just beginning to rise, casting a faint red glow over the landscape. It was a spectacular sight and I wondered how Olivia's mind could paint such incredible pictures if she had never experienced the outside world before. Maybe it had something to do with her connection to Heejin.
"I always knew you were different." I heard Olivia Hye's voice behind me. This time it didn't scare me because her tone was gentle. I turned around to see her walking up a set of stairs, emerging from a dense fog. When she reached the rooftop, she slowly stepped towards me, her hair blowing back in the breeze. Surprisingly, her face was clear, free of tears. Her eyes were no longer puffy and her voice was stable.
My eyebrows furrowed after finally processing what she said. "What do you mean by that?" I kept my eyes trained on her face and watched her expression. It felt like walking on thin ice when I talked to her here. For all I knew this was really the dark side of her and she was the one deceiving me. After all, she was distraught and angry mere seconds ago. But something in the way she looked at me told me this was the real Olivia Hye.
While thinking of how to explain herself, she cracked a sideways smile and looked at the ground. "I mean, obviously I knew you were different because you just showed up here out of nowhere, but that's not what I'm trying to say." She stopped talking for a second and I noticed her hands tugging on the hem of her white shirt. It reminded me of the first time we met: she was so nervous and awkward, not knowing what to say.
After a few seconds passed, she looked back up, this time her eyes trained on the sunrise behind me. "No one ever really understood me. Not the other girls I grew up with and definitely not that strange old lady." She rolled her eyes at the thought and I couldn't help but let out a small chuckle at her clear dislike for the creator. "And maybe it's because I didn't appear to be... I don't know, broken?" Her voice sounded unsure but I nodded my head, showing her that I understood what she meant.
"But, somehow, you immediately knew what I was going through." She made eye contact with me again, a confused look on her face. "And even now, you knew exactly what to say to calm me down." Her eyebrows furrowed and she looked back down. I could practically see the gears turning in her brain as her eyes searched the ground. "How could you possibly understand?"
I let out a breath and took a step towards her. This caused her eyes to focus back onto mine as she waited for my response. "We're more alike than you realize, Olivia." This statement only seemed to confuse her more, so I continued, "There's not much that I can tell you now, but once this is over, I will explain everything to you." My eyes held guilt, showing her that I really did hate hurting her like this. "No more lies. No more hiding things."
I took another step and reached down to grab her hand. "All you have to do is take the final step." My other hand reached into my pocket and grabbed the only thing I brought here with me. "If you want to know the truth," I placed the item in her hand, "this is the only way." Finally, after clasping her hands around it, I closed my eyes and pictured a place in my mind.
When I opened my eyes again, we were no longer standing on top of a skyscraper. Just like a month ago, I heard birds chirping and leaves rustling around me. The fresh air and warm sunlight enveloped my senses. Olivia Hye stood in front of me with her white and green schoolgirl outfit on. Her hands were still clasped around the object I gave her as she looked at her surroundings. For the second time today, her face washed over with realization.
The Garden of Eden.
I watched as she looked down and opened her palms to reveal a dark red blood plum. Now was finally the moment I had been waiting for. The very climax of my mission. This moment determined the future of the Loonaverse. Whether it was doomed to repeat on an endless time loop or was destined to be saved and it's knowledge shared with the rest of the world. All she had to do was take a bite from the blood plum: partake of the Forbidden Fruit.
She looked at me skeptically, her eyes bouncing back and forth between me and the fruit. After all her time here in Eden being told not to eat the fruit, here comes a stranger telling her to do exactly that. A stranger who has done nothing but deceive her this entire time. It seemed ridiculous and I knew she was thinking that too. But I also knew that I cared for her, and I hoped to any higher power that she would realize that.
"I know this seems like I'm going against everything I just told you... but you have to trust me." I stared deep into her eyes, doing everything in my power to show that this wasn't another trick. "If there was any other option, I never would've forced you make this decision. Because I know how much this hurts you." I let out a sigh and frowned. "But this is the only way." Her eyebrows furrowed in concern.
At this point I could practically see the devil and angel debating in her mind. She was literally and figuratively torn down the middle. But I knew she had the power to harness both sides. The light and the dark. I knew she was strong enough to control both and use them to make the hard decision. Although this would be committing a sin, in the long run she would be doing more good than bad. She would be helping the entire world. All Loonas around the world would be free of oppression and finally see the truth.
No more lies and deceptions.
No more endless time loop.
No more darkness.
I wanted to explain all these things to her. I wanted to tell her that this seemingly bad choice was really for a good cause. But I couldn't. So, I stepped forward and put my hand over hers. She looked up at me, surprised by my sudden movements. My other hand grabbed her chin to make sure she was paying attention to what I said next, "I would never do anything to hurt you, and if my words still don't convince you to trust me, then let this..."
She watched in confusion while I moved her clasped hands out of the way so I could stand mere centimeters away from her. Then, I did the only thing I could think of. The only thing that felt right. The only thing that could show her how important she was to the world. How important she was to me.
I kissed her.
As she slowly gave in and kissed me back, an indescribable feeling of warmth radiated from her. In that moment, I felt her mind made up and her heart finally change. She might not have learned to completely love the dark part of herself yet, but that didn't matter... because I did. I loved every single part of her, even the imperfections. So, to her, that made it worth the effort. It would still take time for her to accept herself, but she was finally willing to try.
And the first step started now:
"I trust you."
