Bowhunting Tips: Mastering the Art of the Hunt
Bowhunting combines ancient tradition with modern sportsmanship, offering a challenging and rewarding way to hunt. Whether you're a seasoned archer or new to the sport, understanding the essentials of bowhunting is key to success in the field. This article delves into the critical aspects of bowhunting, from selecting the right gear to mastering hunting techniques and ensuring ethical practices. Introduction to Bowhunting Bowhunting has evolved significantly from its origins as a survival skill to a modern sport enjoyed by many. Today, it's not just about the hunt but also about connecting with nature, practicing wildlife conservation, and engaging in a challenging sport that requires skill, patience, and precision. Key Takeaways - Choosing the Right Equipment: Selecting the appropriate bow, arrows, and broadheads is crucial for effective bowhunting. - Preparation and Practice: Regular practice and proper bow setup are essential for accuracy and success. - Bowhunting Techniques: Understanding and applying different hunting strategies can significantly increase your chances of a successful hunt. - Safety and Ethical Considerations: Prioritizing safety and ethical hunting practices is paramount for the well-being of the hunter and the preservation of wildlife. Choosing the Right Equipment The first step in bowhunting is selecting the right equipment. The type of bow—whether compound, recurve, or longbow—will depend on your personal preference, hunting style, and the game you're targeting. Types of Bows - Compound Bow: Known for its mechanical advantage, allowing for greater accuracy and easier draw. - Recurve Bow: Offers a more traditional experience with a simple design that's effective for short to medium ranges. - Longbow: The oldest type of bow, offering a challenging yet rewarding bowhunting experience. Selecting Arrows and Broadheads Choosing the right arrows and broadheads is equally important. The weight, material, and design of the arrow can affect its flight and penetration. Broadheads, the tip of the arrow, come in various styles, each designed for specific types of game and hunting conditions. Table 1: Arrow and Broadhead Selection Guide Arrow Type Best For Broadhead Type Game Type Carbon All-around performance Fixed Blade Large game Aluminum Budget-friendly, easy tuning Mechanical Small to medium game Hybrid Combination of speed and durability Hybrid Versatile, all game types Preparation and Practice Success in bowhunting requires more than just the right gear; it demands dedication to practice and preparation. Developing a consistent shooting form and understanding how to tune and sight your bow are foundational skills every bowhunter should master. Importance of Practice and Form Regular practice helps in refining your shooting technique, ensuring you can deliver accurate and ethical shots in the field. It's also crucial for building muscle memory and confidence. Setting Up Your Bow Tuning your bow for optimal performance and sighting it in for accuracy are critical steps in preparation. This process involves adjusting the bow's draw weight, ensuring proper arrow flight, and setting up your sight for different distances. Bowhunting Techniques Bowhunting techniques can vary widely depending on the environment, the game, and personal preference. However, two primary methods are stalking and ambush hunting. Stalking vs. Ambush Hunting Stalking involves quietly moving through the hunting area in search of game. It requires patience, stealth, and a deep understanding of the animal's behavior. Ambush hunting, on the other hand, involves waiting in a concealed position for the game to come to you, often near water sources, trails, or feeding areas. Tips for Effective Stalking - Move slowly and quietly, pausing frequently to observe your surroundings. - Use natural cover and terrain to conceal your approach. - Be mindful of wind direction to avoid alerting the game with your scent. Setting Up an Effective Ambush - Choose a location with good visibility and natural concealment. - Consider the wind direction and the sun's position to remain undetected. - Be patient and prepared to wait for the right moment to take your shot. Shot Placement and Tracking Understanding the anatomy of your target is crucial for ethical hunting. Knowing where to place your shot ensures a quick and humane kill, reducing the animal's suffering and increasing your chances of a successful hunt. Understanding Animal Anatomy Aiming for the vital organs, typically the heart and lungs, is key. This requires knowledge of the game's anatomy and the ability to adjust your aim based on the animal's position. Tracking Wounded Game Even with a well-placed shot, tracking may be necessary. Look for signs like blood trails, disturbed vegetation, and tracks. Patience and persistence are vital in following a wounded animal to ensure it is ethically harvested. Table 2: Effective Shot Placement Game Type Ideal Shot Placement Notes Deer Behind the shoulder, mid-chest Avoid head and neck shots for ethical reasons Elk Lower one-third of the chest, slightly behind the front leg Consider the larger size and tougher hide Small Game Heart/lung area Precision is key due to smaller target area Advanced Bowhunting Strategies To elevate your bowhunting skills, incorporating advanced strategies into your approach can significantly increase your success rate. These tactics can vary based on the game you're targeting and the specific conditions of your hunting environment. Using Calls and Decoys Calls and decoys can be highly effective in luring game into range. Whether you're imitating the calls of a potential mate during the rut or using decoys to spark curiosity or territorial behavior, these tools can give you a critical advantage. - Deer Calls: Use during the rut to attract bucks looking for does. - Turkey Decoys: Effective in the spring to bring gobblers into shooting range. Hunting Different Types of Game Each game species requires a unique approach, influenced by their habits, habitats, and the time of year. - Deer: Focus on early morning and late evening during the rut for increased activity. - Elk: Utilize calls during the rut and focus on areas near water sources. - Turkey: Set up near roosting areas or along feeding routes, using calls to attract attention. Seasonal Strategies Understanding how game behavior changes with the seasons is crucial for planning your hunting strategy. - Pre-Rut: Look for signs of early rutting behavior and focus on food sources. - Rut: Target areas with high doe activity, using calls and scents to attract bucks. - Post-Rut: Focus on recovery areas where game may go to feed and rest after the rut. Table 3: Seasonal Hunting Tips Season Strategy Key Consideration Pre-Rut Locate feeding and bedding areas Food sources are key Rut Use calls and scents Highest activity period Post-Rut Focus on recovery zones Look for less pressured areas Safety and Ethical Considerations Bowhunting carries inherent risks, making safety precautions essential. Additionally, ethical considerations ensure the preservation of wildlife populations and respect for the environment. Bowhunting Safety - Always let someone know where you will be hunting and when you expect to return. - Use a harness when hunting from a tree stand. - Be sure of your target and what is beyond it before taking a shot. Ethical Hunting Practices - Only take shots at animals within your effective range to ensure a humane kill. - Follow through with tracking and recovery efforts for all shots believed to have hit an animal. - Respect wildlife and natural habitats by practicing Leave No Trace principles. Maintenance and Care of Equipment Proper maintenance of your bowhunting gear ensures reliability and accuracy when you need it most. Regular care extends the life of your equipment and improves your overall hunting experience. Caring for Your Equipment - Bow: Regularly inspect for wear and tear, especially the bowstring and limbs. Replace the string as recommended by the manufacturer or at signs of fraying. - Arrows: Inspect for straightness and ensure that fletchings are intact and broadheads are sharp. - Storage: Keep your gear in a dry, temperature-controlled environment to prevent damage. Table 4: Maintenance Checklist Item Check For Frequency Bow String wear, limb damage Before/after each use Arrows Straightness, tip sharpness Before each use Accessories Functionality, batteries Regularly Frequently Asked Questions Consider your draw length, strength, and the type of hunting you plan to do. Visiting a local archery shop for a fitting and to test different models is highly recommended. - Aim for quick, humane kills by targeting vital organs. - Practice regularly to ensure accuracy. - Respect wildlife and the environment by following local regulations and conservation practices. Regular practice, including in conditions similar to those you'll face while hunting, is key. Also, consider working with a coach or experienced bowhunter to refine your technique. Trampolinist
Summary - You’re a player who jumps from server to server, often revisiting several and always trying to find access to new ones. When a victorious game of duos Skywars on Hypixel wins you an invitation to one of the most famous yet exclusive servers in the community, you find a world you never knew existed, allies you’re not certain you can trust, and enemies that may not be just that. Oh, yeah, and an anarchist piglin hybrid.
(c!technoblade/server jumper!reader)
Basic warnings: minor blood, swearing, light threats
A/N - hello! I decided to start this series as a result of a sporadic idea at midnight after quite an odd dream. Some information you might need:
A few select people can jump servers without using portals, and you (the reader) are one of them.
Some servers are public and some require invites. Hypixel and a lot of the other bigger servers are public, while SMPs such as the Dream SMP are private and require an invite.
Jumpers, as they are commonly referred to throughout the series, still require an invite to private servers, though some have figured out loopholes to this process and actively exploit it, earning the title of “Crashers”. You have figured it out but don’t use the ability.
The rating for this series is 14-15+, most likely including minor to graphic descriptions of blood/injuries, violence, swearing, minor manipulation and death.
There are select groups of people who hate Jumpers and actively try to perma-kill them or get them source-banned from servers, leaving them stuck in single player and isolation.
From the author:
This will be in second person.
There will be no use of Y/N or (Y/N) or anything along those lines. I understand some people use them as a descriptor, but in my opinion, it looks a bit messy/choppy.
Feel free to criticize, though don’t be super harsh.
Also gl free to point out spelling mistakes.
I love love LOVE feedback! Gimme it! Please! /lh /gen
Anyway, those are the basics that you need to know! For now, at least… hehe.
Enjoy the first part!

——
The familiar particles signalling a personal portal opening in the lobby sends a few people scattering, but most just move to the side, though there are a fair few that stay to watch the person step out of the rip in reality.
The person stumbles out, cursing the deities to high heaven, brushing dirt and sweat and even a bug off of their face, certainly looking a bit worse for wear.
This was certainly not what the audience was expecting. They were expecting a prim, proper or at least somewhat distinguished person to step out of the actively sparking spiral, as most Jumpers are that way, even just a bit.
Nope.
“What are you looking at?”
The people step back a bit, noticing the sword the person clutches in their hand.
That person is you.
“Fuck off, would you? You probably see Jumpers on the daily! Fuckin’ annoying.” you grumble, sheathing the sword at your side. “Fuck… is this Hypixel?”
With a cursory sweep of the attire of the people surrounding you and buildings towering over everyone, you determine that yes, it is, in fact, Hypixel.
Of course, that may have also been the big-ass sign in the sky with the server’s name on it. That too.
With a sigh and a wave of your hand, you pull your inventory up. The typical “please place your personal belongings in a safe place before playing a match, otherwise they may be wiped.” message pops up when you do. You huff, wave your fingers to dismiss the text. Not like you’ve been here a hundred thousand times or anything like that.
The Netherite blade at your side, your armor and any sentimental belongings you have on you go straight into your enderchest, categorized in one of the shulker boxes designated specifically for this purpose.
As you walk along, trying to sort your inventory out (fortunately the server provides a free repair and replace to anyone’s clothing, as yours are beaten pretty much beyond self-help), deciding what match you might want to play, the crowd that was surrounding you quickly scurries off with a few screams.
A quick glance upwards catches your gaze on a red and white nametag.
Huh. Don’t see those often.
Whispers of the name you can’t quite see from where you stand rapidly reach your ears, ringing with slight familiarity.
Dream.
Odd. The masked man doesn’t often come onto public servers, mainly sticking to his own private server, named after him. The Dream SMP. How egotistical.
Without another glance towards the fan-people, you select a game idly. The blue text pops up in front of you, confirming your want to play the match.
Skywars Duos.
Before you know it, you’re whisked off to the arena, a bit dizzy from your landing, but fine nonetheless. The timer for the start slowly counts down, ticking slowly as people pop into existence with increasing frequency.
A presence behind you alerts you to your teammate. You nod at them just as the beeping of the final ten seconds counts down.
After a few repeated sessions, most being losses, you decide on one more match before you head to a tavern for the night, preferably one with a view.
This time you’re the second one to arrive. And for once, you take a longer look at your teammate.
He’s the guy everyone was freaking out about a few hours earlier… what was his name again? Dr-something. Or was it a Tr-something? Ah, who knows. It doesn’t matter as long as he’s good. You don’t bother to look at his nametag; he’s probably just some hotshot who thinks he’s all that.
“Not going to freak out?” he asks you. You snort at the question, shaking your head with a glance at the timer.
“Just here to kick ass.”
“Fair enough,” he replies. “You any good?”
A laugh from you echoes as the beeping of the countdown starts.
“We’ll see.”
The barrier below you drops, sending you hurtling to the floating island below. You quickly hit the ground, rolling into a crouch while your teammate raids the chest beside you, tossing a few bits of armor and a stone axe as well as a golden apple, which you catch and nod gratefully.
The hood on his head drops when another player attempts to take him out of the game. He ducks, barely avoiding the glimmer of the enchanted sword, sweeping her legs out from under her. The enemy player narrowly rolls out of the way with her shield being knocked out of her hands into the dark blue void below the floating island.
She curses loudly as his axe lands beside her head, kicking it to the side.
In that moment, you shove her hard off of the crumbling stone, jabbing your axe in her shoulder for final measure. Her falling figure flashes red with the loss of hearts, and eventually, she disintegrates into dust, the announcement of her tag being eliminated in the chat making you smirk.
“Well, you are good.”
You send him a smirk and collect the spoils of your kill, mostly a few potions and the iron blade, tossing a few of the former to your teammate and splashing a speed potion on yourself.
With practiced movements you begin to build to the middle islands, your teammate throwing the occasional snowball at any approaching enemy players, even knocking one off their bridge. The message of their death rings in the chat, being the fifth elimination.
The chests there contain better loot, even a diamond sword and chestplate, a strength II potion and a Power I bow with fifteen arrows. You take the bow and chestplate (with permission from your teammate, who gladly takes the sword and potion) and book it to the center chests, almost laughing at the amount of snowballs and arrows lying there.
“Well, I’m not complaining,” you muse.
You hear a yell of your tag, quickly spinning around to block the swing of an enchanted axe, their teammate quickly turning to gang up on you after finishing off another person.
Great. You’re fighting two people now.
Swing, duck, dodge, swipe, duck, swipe, block—shit, you got stabbed! Two hearts disappear from your health bar, sending a flurry of curses flying from your lips.
But luckily, your teammate is fast enough to eliminate the weaker of the two.
The tables turn.
The clash of blades, splash of potions and grunts of pain quickly move to the edge of the center island. It’s two verses one now, and the three of you are the last competitors in the match.
Block the swing, return the blow, duck, block, dodge—
A sudden stab in your shoulder alerts you to an arrow stuck in the skin there, slowly depleting your health.
It’s merely a distraction.
The enemy player barrels into you, sending you stumbling backwards right at the edge of crumbling gravel.
Poison becomes your downfall.
The smack of another half heart.
As one last resort, you grip onto the block with one hand, the other dangling with your bow into the void. Gritting your teeth, you do your damndest to drag yourself up, the poison wreaking havoc through your body and strength.
Shit. I’m not going to survive this, am I?
The one-handed grip on your bow tightens, nocked arrow slipping between your dirt-covered fingers.
You make a decision.
Just as the enemy player comes over, smirking but low on health, you let go of the block, drawing your arrow back as you fall into the void.
The broadhead meets its mark just in time, signalling a victory with a dragon appearing underneath you right before you hit the death line. A sigh of relief escapes your lips; you direct the dragon upwards with a rush of gratefulness soaring through your body. Respawning isn’t a pleasant process.
Twenty or so seconds later, you appear back in the lobby with your teammate at your side. The lobby is nearly empty, only a few people milling around, most having traveled elsewhere or checked into a tavern or hotel.
“You’re good. We could use you on our side.”
“ ‘We’?”
Two other figures appear out of seemingly nowhere, one wearing white-rimmed black sunglasses with a blue hoodie, the other a bandana and a white hoodie with flames on the front of it.
Your fingers twitch at your sides, calling up a portal in your mind, ready to dash through it at the slightest hint of a threat. Sparks form by your palms, their signature color drawing the leader’s attention.
“Calm down. I have no interest in killing you.”
“Doesn’t seem like it,” you retort. “Three versus one isn’t exactly fair y’know.” The sparks grow brighter; though they are primarily used to call up portals, they can deal quite a blow to anyone who forcefully comes into contact with them.
Dream (you now read off his nametag, getting sick of referring to him by random aliases) extends a hand in front of his body. Something hovers in it, glowing a soft white and reading something you can’t quite make out.
“It’s not going to kill you.”
Bandanna laughs at that.
“Reassuring,” you snap, taking a closer look at it.
Invitation: Dream SMP
Active?: Yes
Expires: Never
Taken aback, you sputter out a few jumbled sentences before asking why they’d invite you of all people. Sure, you may be okay at Skywars, but that doesn’t warrant an invitation to literally the most exclusive server in the network.
“Uh—what?”
You take a quick glance at the two others, noting their tags are red and white as well, reading Sapnap and Georgenotfound.
“You don’t have to accept.” Dream steps forward to set the glowing orb in your hands. “Just know that we picked you for a very good reason.
How… interesting.
“Is it ‘cause I’m an inactive Crasher?”
The three stiffen at the moniker used for the infamous Jumpers, the ones who figure out ways around the system, the lines of fate that make up the different servers, finding loopholes that not even the best Mender can. They exploit them, gaining almost god-like abilities on the server only to wreak absolute anarchy on the infrastructure until the admin can step in, if they haven’t been eliminated from the system or perma-killed already.
From what little you know about the Dream SMP, you know the admin is a god of sorts, mostly staying out of the way but occasionally fixing matters that need it. Otherwise they stay… wherever gods stay.
“No,” George pipes up. You note his accent, odd and slightly out of place, but not unpleasant. “You being a Jumper does help, however.”
You’ve heard of elusive servers where Jumpers have access to a lot of power and near-unlimited resources, though no one can quite figure out why. Those servers are typically entirely anarchy.
“Yeah, sure.” But you clutch the invitation closer to your person anyway. It glows a bit brighter at the increased contact.
“Think on it.”
Those words echo through your mind throughout the rest of the night, in your bed, subconsciously in your dreams and into the next morning.
It’s no easy decision. You know you’ll be dragged into all sorts of politics, conflict and battles unlike the Skywars ones you usually find yourself dealing with.
Your hand grips the glowing ball a bit tighter, reading the same three statements engraved on it repeatedly until the words are branded into your mind.
And then it disappears.
“Invitation accepted.”

First Impression
The Muzzy Trocar HB broadhead immediately stands out from the competition by being visibly more complicated than its competitors.
We’ll talk more about its overall design in a moment, but you don’t need to be an expert to look at this broadhead side-by-side with others and see that it’s visibly fancier.
For experienced shooters, this design offers a significantly greater cutting surface than most of its competitors, which means more extensive entry wounds as well.
At 1-5/8″ cutting diameter, it’s large to start with, and its cutting surface is even higher than almost anyone else can offer.
In short, this broadhead is interesting, but does it hold up? Let’s talk about design.
Tumblr media
Design and Performance
Most of them come in one of two major variants for those who aren’t familiar with broadheads.
Cut-on-contact blades are the closest to the traditional idea of an arrowhead and immediately begin cutting into the entry target. Chisel tips have a narrow, needle-like piercing tip before they start cutting.
This broadhead is a hybrid that has longer, fixed blades behind a chisel tip. What sets it apart is the fact that it also has two expandable blades that pop out when it enters the target, creating a more massive wound without affecting flight as much.

As experienced archers know, the flight and accuracy of an arrow is its most important quality. It doesn’t matter how fancy your broadhead is if you can’t hit your target.
This is the fundamental problem that modern broadheads face. A larger cutting surface means more significant wounds and more likelihood of dropping your target.
Still, that same cutting surface increases air resistance and makes it harder to land your hit on a good part of the target’s body.
Hybrid designs, like the one we’re talking about in this Muzzy Trocar HB review, try to have the best of both worlds.
Fewer exposed blades during flight mean more accuracy, while a larger cutting surface after hitting the target means better kill performance.
We like the hardened chisel tip on this broadhead, by the way. It offers a distinct advantage when striking bone, which is a real possibility when you’re targeting larger animals like elk.
Cut-on-contact blades have an edge, not a piercing tip, so they deflect more easily. Deflection can be a real problem with this broadhead.

Weight Considerations and Blade Quality
One of the fundamental elements of this Muzzy Trocar HB broadhead is the arrowhead’s weight because this impacts many of its components.
This particular broadhead is 100 grain, which is the industry standard for weight. However, we’d rather see this broadhead at 125 grains, and here’s why.
Most broadhead manufacturers prefer using standardized weights, regardless of the actual design of the arrowhead (read.. QAD Exodus Review).
Experienced archers know that weight changes can affect accuracy, so keeping weights the same minimizes the changes that archers have to deal with when changing broadheads.
The issue crops up when you’re trying to make an exceptionally complex broadhead without changing the weight.
If you have three blades instead of four, those three blades can be thicker or have a sturdier central shaft that prevents deforming.

More blades mean more cutting surface and, therefore, better wounds. However, more blades also mean the blades’ mass needs to come from somewhere else, which can thin and weaken the overall blade.
The Muzzy Trocar HB broadhead has two small levers on each side, right next to the expandable blades. These aren’t cutting tools. Instead, they trigger the pop-out blades.
However, they take away from the mass that could be elsewhere on the arrowhead, leading to the thinner design for each of the components.
None of this is to say that the Muzzy Trocar HB Hybrid 4 blade broadhead is a bad arrowhead. It’s not. In fact, it’s a stable and reliable broadhead overall, produced by one of the most well-known names in the industry.
That experience comes in handy when creating complicated broadheads, and I wouldn’t trust something from a new company.
Still, we don’t agree with everything they did for this broadhead, which means this is ultimately more complicated to discuss than it looks at first glance.
Muzzy Trocar HB Broadhead Review
Summary
Muzzy’s Trocar HB is a complex broadhead to review. Hybrid broadheads aren’t totally new to the market, but they’re still relatively rare and aren’t as popular as choices that are either fixed-heads or mechanical-only.
The good part of these broadheads is that they offer pinpoint accuracy, similar to a traditional field point head.
That’s the gold standard in the industry, and it’s a testament to Muzzy’s overall design expertise that they can make a broadhead that’s so complex and yet so accurate.
Tumblr media
check price
It’s also impressively durable for its complexity, though not as much as Muzzy wants you to believe.
While it will cut organs and muscle just fine, you can expect some bending if you hit solid bone. These broadheads can’t guarantee a good blood trail, but they usually create one.
However, we still think these broadheads are a little light for their number of blades.
There’s something to be said for matching the weight most users prefer, but there’s a point where you can get better reliability and performance by going up to the next weight category.
Ultimately, that’s the deciding factor for this Muzzy Trocar HB review. It’s still a good product, and you probably won’t regret getting it.

Yeti Loadout Go Box 3. A Tough Gear Case  One thing hunters always seem to have plenty of is expensive gear. Tumblr media
Leatherman Rebar 4. A Functional Multi-Tool Hunters and outdoorsmen never know what problems may arise in the field, and one of the best ways to be prepared is to have a quality multi-tool. Weighing 6.7 ounces, measuring 4 inches long and made from stainless steel, the Rebar puts 17 tools at a hunter’s fingertips, ready to take on nearly any task they can throw at it.

The Kilo 1400 BDX 6x20mmis a great value at only $300. Weighing only 5 ounces, measuring 3.9x 2.9 inches, and ranging reflective targets out to 1,600 yards and deer to 750 yards, this little gem does a lot, without adding bulk in the field. The Kilo 1400 has Line of Sight mode (LOS), Angle Modified Range (AMR) as well as Applied Ballistics Ultralight (ABU), which shows ballistic data in MIL or MOA. Lastly, it is covered with Sig Sauer’s Infinite Guarantee.
Tumblr media
Rugid Xtreme 48-inch Rifle Case 7. A Durable Case  An often-overlooked item by hunters is a great gun case to protect our firearm while being transported to and from the field. The Rugid Xtreme 48-inch rifle case ($140) will fill this void nicely. Made from a durable 500d waterproof pvc exterior and a 7/8-inch foam padding, the case will protect your gun from being knocked around. Not only is it waterproof, but it also floats. On the outside of the case is a waterproof pocket big enough for a wallet, cell phone or other small items. On the back, there are two tie down straps for securing the case to an ATV/UTV or anywhere else a hunter sees the need.
Tumblr media
Garmin GPSMAP 66i 8. A Reliable GPS  If your shopper isn’t opposed to spending a little more cash, a great new product to consider is the new GPSMAP 66i ($600) from Garmin. This is not only a top-of-the-line GPS, but it’s also a satellite messenger. The 66i comes preloaded with Garmin TopoActive mapping for North and Central America. In addition, the hunter will be able to keep in touch with his or her loved ones from anywhere through two-way messaging. If an emergency ever arises, the hunter has the option of the SOS button, which will alert emergency services to their exact location.
Tumblr media
Worksharp Guided Field Sharpener 9. An Always-Useful Knife Sharpener  Between field-dressing, butchering and general-use chores, hunters are constantly dulling their knives. Problem is, it’s always been difficult to sharpen a knife in the field without negatively affecting the blade. Enter the Worksharp Guided Field Sharpener ($30). The guides on this sharpener help keep the blade angle correct throughout the process. This little tool has a lot on board, with two diamond plates (220 grit coarse, 600 grit fine), a three-position ceramic rod with coarse grit, fine grit and fish hook honing side, and last but not least ,a leather strop. Overall, it is just a great piece for any outdoorsman to have in their kit.
Tumblr media
Double Bull Surroundview 360 10. An Invisibility Cloak  OK, a ground blind is not exactly a cloak, but every hunter deserves one of these, because they are just that cool. It will only take one look once you step inside to understand what I mean. The Double Bull Surroundview 360 ($500) is one of the most innovative products to hit the hunting market in years. Walls are constructed with one-way see-through material, meaning you can see all around your blind with no blind spots, but the animals cannot see in. The dimensions of the blind are 60x60x70 inches and it weighs 23 pounds with the bag. Shooting is done via the 180-degree full front window or through five shoot-through ports. The windows have silent slide closure for quiet opening and closing.

Each Maxima red SD is laser checked to 1/10,000th of an inch, and they are weight sorted to +/-1.0 grains. One unique feature is these arrows have a stiffer front end to keep the front of the arrow from flexing too drastically, helping broadheads shoot more consistently. The Maxima Red SD arrows have a .203 inside diameter, which helps reduce wind drift, and they are available in spines of 250 (8.3gpi), 350 (9.4 gpi) and 450 (11.1 gpi). Rage Hypodermic NC 13. Super-Sharp Broadheads  Most every bowhunter knows about Rage Broadheads, but they may not know about the new Hypodermic NC ($50). With a machined stainless steel ferrule, Hybrid hypodermic tip, two-blade design and 2-inch cutting diameter, the NC looks similar to the Rage from years past but with one exciting new feature. The NC stands for No Collar blade lock, where the blades simply lock up into place and do not need to be held in place with any sort of a collar. Once the blades have been deployed, they simply slide back up and clicked into place and they are ready to go.When it comes to specific archery gear like arrows and broadheads, be sure your shopper knows the exact specs of the hunter they’re buying for, to make sure the purchase makes sense with their existing setup. Otherwise, you’ll need to have a good return policy!

Rinehart Targets 1/3 Scale Woodland Elk 14. A Lifelike 3-D Target 3-D targets, especially the big ones like elk, moose and caribou, can be expensive. The folks at Rinehart Targets made it possible to bring a bull elk to everyone’s backyard with the 1/3 Scale Woodland Elk ($200). Their claim is the target is anatomically reduced to 1/3 the scale of a 600-pound bull elk, making 20-yard shots equivalent to 60-yard shots in the field. I am not sure if that is the case, but this target has a realistic look and is fun to shoot. It’s made from a Solid FX self-healing foam and has a replaceable foam insert. The target measures 38x44 inches.
Tumblr media
Adventure Medical Kits Ultralight/Watertight .9 Medical Kit 15. A Life-Saving Med Kit Regardless of style of hunting, every one of us should carry some sort of a medical kit in the field. Having the right kit can make easy work of first aid needs; having the wrong kit can be a disaster. The Ultralight/Watertight .9 Medical Kit ($39) from Adventure Medical Kits provides hunters with the things they need in the field, in a convenient, small package — it only weighs 12 ounces and measures 10x7.5x3 inches. Within its contents you can clean and close wounds, combat stomach illness, do emergency repairs with included duct tape, manage pain, stabilize fractures and sprains, stop bleeding, stop blisters before they start and have easy access to bandages — and it’s all contained within two-stage waterproof bags.
Tumblr media
Tenzing Flex 16. A Comfortable Pack When going back and forth to the stand or hunting location, every hunter needs a good way to tote all of their gear. The Tenzing Flex ($100) is a great 650-cubic-inch fanny pack that’s big enough to carry what you need for a simple day afield, but not too big to wear you down. The adjustable shoulder harness and padded waist belt fit most torso sizes and are totally customizable. The fabric is a noiseless, very soft tricot to keep things quiet in the woods. Three storage compartments are easily within arm’s reach, while four compression straps can handle a fair amount of additional gear. Three interior organizational compartments help the hunter keep his or her gear organized and within reach. Weighing in at just 1.5 pounds, a hunter may forget he or she is even wearing it.
Tumblr media
Midland X-Talker T71VP3 Two Way Radio 17. A Wide-Ranging Radio  If keeping in touch with hunting partners is a consideration, try showing shoppers the X-Talker T71VP3 Two Way Radio ($80) from Midland. Midland has long been making quality two-way radios for outdoor enthusiasts, and this model is no exception. With 36 channels and 121 privacy codes, each group is sure to be able to find a private line. On top of that, the 38-mile range should make keeping contact within reasonable distance a snap. The T71VP3 also has NOAA weather alert and weather scan technology to keep you up to date on the latest forecast. Another great feature for hunters is silent operation to keep annoying beeps from scaring game.
Tumblr media
Howard Leight Impact Sport Earmuffs 18. Ear-Saving Muffs You always hear the old deaf guys who shot too much when they were younger say that “we need to use ear protection.” They are right, and the Howard Leight Impact Sport Earmuffs ($60) do a fabulous job of protecting what hearing we have left. This earmuff has a very low profile design to not get in the way while shooting. While they shut out noise when levels reach 82 decibels, they actually amplify ambient noise, so there is no need to remove them to hear talking while in the field preparing for a shot. They require two AAA batteries for use, but they have a 350-hour battery life. For $60, it is surely a worthwhile investment in hearing health.

When hunting deer, choosing the right broadheads is essential for a successful and humane hunt. With a plethora of options available in the market, it can be overwhelming to find the perfect match for your specific hunting needs. Whether you prefer fixed-blade or expandable broadheads, it's crucial to consider factors such as cutting diameter, weight, and flight accuracy. This guide will explore some of the best broadheads for deer hunting, helping you make an informed decision to enhance your hunting experience. By understanding the key features and benefits of each broadhead, you can confidently select the ideal one for your next deer hunting expedition. Understanding The Different Types Of Broadheads When it comes to hunting deer, the type of broadhead you choose can make a significant difference in the outcome of your hunt. Understanding the different types of broadheads can help you make an informed decision that suits your hunting style and needs. Here, we will delve into the three main types of broadheads: fixed-blade, mechanical, and hybrid broadheads. Each type has its own set of advantages and considerations, so let's break them down to help you select the best option for your next deer hunt. Fixed-blade Broadheads Fixed-blade broadheads are known for their durability and reliability. They feature a solid construction with razor-sharp blades that remain fixed in place. These broadheads are well-suited for hunters who prefer simplicity and strength in their gear. The straightforward design allows for easy maintenance and precise cuts, making them a popular choice for many experienced hunters. Mechanical Broadheads When it comes to mechanical broadheads, innovation takes center stage. These broadheads are designed to deploy their blades upon impact, creating a larger wound channel. This feature maximizes the potential for a quick and ethical kill. Hunters value their accuracy and flight characteristics, as they mimic the trajectory of field points. However, it's important to note that the moving parts of mechanical broadheads require careful inspection and testing before each use to ensure proper functionality. Hybrid Broadheads Hybrid broadheads combine the best of both fixed-blade and mechanical designs. They feature a mix of fixed and expandable blades, offering the reliability of a fixed blade and the cutting diameter of a mechanical broadhead. This versatile option provides hunters with a balance of penetration and cutting efficiency, catering to a wide range of hunting styles and preferences. The adaptability of hybrid broadheads makes them a popular choice for hunters seeking a middle ground between traditional and modern designs. Factors To Consider When Selecting Broadheads     Selecting the right broadheads for deer hunting is crucial for a successful and ethical kill. There are several factors to consider when choosing the best broadheads for deer, including weight and balance, cutting diameter, penetration capabilities, material and construction, and field-point accuracy. Let’s delve into each of these factors to help you make an informed decision for your next hunting expedition. Weight And Balance The weight and balance of a broadhead play a significant role in its flight trajectory. An ideal broadhead should be properly balanced to ensure stability during flight. Additionally, the weight of the broadhead affects its kinetic energy, which is crucial for delivering a lethal blow to the deer. When selecting a broadhead, consider the weight and balance to ensure optimal performance. Cutting Diameter The cutting diameter of a broadhead determines the size of the wound channel it creates upon impact. A broader cutting diameter can lead to more extensive tissue damage, increasing the chances of a clean and humane kill. Consider broadheads with a sufficient cutting diameter to maximize the effectiveness of your shot. Penetration Capabilities Penetration capabilities are vital for ensuring the broadhead can reach vital organs and deliver a lethal hit. Factors such as blade design, tip shape, and overall build contribute to the penetration capabilities of a broadhead. Look for broadheads that are designed to penetrate effectively through varying tissue and bone densities. Material And Construction The material and construction of a broadhead directly impact its durability and performance. Stainless steel, titanium, and carbon steel are popular choices for broadhead construction due to their strength and resistance to corrosion. Additionally, well-crafted ferrules and blades contribute to the overall structural integrity of the broadhead. Field-point Accuracy Field-point accuracy refers to the ability of a broadhead to fly consistently with the same point of impact as field points. Achieving field-point accuracy is essential for maintaining precision and ethical shooting. Look for broadheads that are designed and tested for field-point accuracy to enhance your shooting proficiency. Best Broadheads For Whitetail Deer     When it comes to hunting whitetail deer, selecting the best broadheads is crucial for a successful and ethical kill. The market offers a variety of broadheads, each with its unique features and advantages. In this post, we'll explore the top choices for best broadheads for hunting whitetail deer, delving into razor sharp, aerodynamic, and precision-cut broadheads. Razor Sharp Broadheads Broadheads with razor-sharp blades are essential for a clean and effective kill. The sharpness of the blades ensures maximum penetration and a swift, humane takedown. Look for replaceable and durable razor-sharp broadheads to maintain optimal sharpness throughout the hunting season. Aerodynamic Broadheads Choosing aerodynamic broadheads is crucial for maximizing accuracy and penetration. Opt for broadheads designed with sleek and streamlined shapes, reducing air resistance and improving flight trajectory. Aerodynamic broadheads are particularly beneficial for long-range shots, helping hunters maintain precision and target their desired kill zone. Precision-cut Broadheads When it comes to hunting whitetail deer, precision-cut broadheads play a pivotal role in achieving accurate and lethal shots. Incorporating precision-cut broadheads with sharp, well-crafted blades ensures clean wounds and swift kills. Featuring innovative design and machining, precision-cut broadheads are engineered to deliver optimal performance and reliable results in the field. Tips For Proper Broadhead Maintenance Proper maintenance of your broadheads is crucial for a successful deer hunting experience. Tips for maintaining your broadheads include sharpening and honing, inspecting for damage, and proper storage and care. By following these maintenance tips, you can ensure that your broadheads are in optimal condition and ready for your next hunting excursion. Sharpening And Honing Regular sharpening and honing of your broadheads is essential to maintain their effectiveness and accuracy. Using a sharpening stone or honing tool, carefully sharpen the blades to ensure they are razor-sharp. Properly sharpened broadheads will enhance their cutting ability and ensure a clean and swift kill. It's advisable to sharpen your broadheads using consistent, controlled strokes to maintain uniformity and edge sharpness. Inspecting For Damage Regular inspection is necessary to identify any signs of damage or wear on your broadheads. Check for bent, chipped, or dull blades that may affect their performance. Look for any signs of rust or corrosion, and if detected, you should address these issues promptly to prevent further damage. Thorough inspection before each hunting trip can avoid potential equipment failure and ensure a successful hunt. Storage And Care Proper storage and care of your broadheads are essential for maintaining their quality and longevity. Store your broadheads in a secure case or quiver to protect them from damage and moisture. Keep them away from other gear that may dull the blades, and always handle them with care when assembling or disassembling. Regularly lubricate the broadhead components to prevent rust and maintain their functionality over time. Ethical Considerations For Using Broadheads When it comes to hunting deer, ethical considerations for using broadheads are crucial. As responsible hunters, it's important to prioritize quick and humane kills, precision shot placement, and minimizing suffering. By adhering to these ethical principles, hunters can ensure a more ethical and sustainable approach to deer hunting. Quick And Humane Kills Broadheads play a critical role in achieving quick and humane kills, as they are designed to create a wide wound channel and cause rapid blood loss. This ensures that the deer is dispatched swiftly, minimizing suffering and promoting ethical hunting practices. Selecting the best broadheads that are known for their cutting efficiency and penetration capability is essential for achieving this goal. Precision Shot Placement Precision shot placement is fundamental in ethical hunting. By using high-quality broadheads that offer superior accuracy and stability, hunters can ensure that the arrow hits the target with precision, thereby increasing the likelihood of a clean and ethical kill. Investing in broadheads with advanced aerodynamics and sharp blades can greatly contribute to achieving precise shot placement. Minimizing Suffering In addition to quick kills and precise shot placement, minimizing suffering is paramount in ethical deer hunting. Broadheads that are designed to inflict clean and effective wounds can significantly reduce the suffering experienced by the deer. Selecting broadheads with reliable penetration and cutting abilities can help minimize the time it takes for the deer to succumb to its injuries, contributing to a more ethical hunting experience. All About Cute Breed Bengal Cats
Back in the 1980's Jean Mill (Millwood Bengals (USA) thought how wonderful it would be to have a domestic size cat with the exotic look and markings of a Leopard! Jean acquired an Asian Leopard Cat (Felis Bengalensis) which is a small,forest-dwelling wild cat that inhabits parts of Asia. Its markings are similar to that of the Leopard. The next step was the mating of the Asian Leopard Cat to the American Shorthair and domestic cat she used these cats to stabilize the timid, shy temperament of the Asian Leopard Cat. After years of frustration and excitement, the Bengal cat as we know it today emerged. Modern Day Bengals The Bengals of today are truly a breed that intrigue and delight almost everyone who comes in contact with them. Their beautiful patterns, colors, and markings along with their inquisitive nature make them a unique breed to own. Colors and Markings Bengals come with varying background coat colors, cream, golden and orange, on these base color's they can have either 'spotting' or the exotic 'marbling' pattern. 'Rosettes' highly sort after as this particular pattern most resembles the markings of the Asian Leopard Cat and the Leopard (see photo on the right) Snow Coloured Bengal's  Bengal's also come in what is called 'snow' coloring and have the same markings and patterns as the traditional 'brown or marbled' Bengal's. The 'snow's' come in three different categories which are as follows:- Seal Lynx Snow Seal Mink Snow Seal Sepia Snow Warpaint litter Bengal Temperament Bengal's are boisterous, energetic and very playful, sometimes a little headstrong and quite often naughty!!! They are very intelligent and can be quite easily taught basic commands. Many walk on a leash and come when called, they love to retrieve paper or balls. They really are more dog like that cat! I am sure they know what you are going to do before you do it! I hope this introduction will encourage you in your final decision into owning one of these wonderful animals. I can almost guarantee you will not regret it!

bengal cats pets Bengal Cats are not wild contrary to many people's opinion. They were bred from the crosses of the Asian Leopard and domestic cats. And, now they are extremely popular since they make good pets and have a beautiful leopard-like coat. The breed is said to be more domestic than wild, yet it has retained some of the habits peculiar for a wild animal such as climbing trees. Nowadays, almost all major organizations recognize the breed and it is eligible for showing. Bengal Cats - Description These are large cats that can reach a size of 15 pounds. Females are usually smaller than males with the average weight being 8-10 pounds. They are robust rather than delicate and have a well-developed muscle structure. The legs should be slightly longer in the back than in the front. The feet are large and rounded. A broadhead that may seem slightly small in proportion to the body characterizes the breed. The muzzle is broad and has prominent whiskers with high cheekbones. Bengal Cats Coat The Bengal cat has a very soft short to medium coat that is slightly longer in kittens. It is thick and luxurious and comes in various color patterns. Some Bengal cats may have a traditionally dark background color with stripes and spots. Others are called snows since the background color is creamy or pale white. It is desirable for Bengal Cats to have glitter.

Those Bengal cats that have at least three to four Bengal-to-Bengal breedings in their background are considered as the best pets. An SBT (stud book tradition) Bengal cat has four or more generations of Bengal-to-Bengal breedings. F1 Bengal cat comes from a breeding of a Bengal cat and the Asian Leopard, so F2 Bengal cats come from Bengal-to-Bengal breeding with one Bengal-to-Asian Leopard Cat breeding, etc. Once, the Bengal cat could be bred to cats with similar color pattern, yet this practice seems to be gradually reduced. Nowadays, most catteries breed Bengals to Bengals and are proud of their pets. The price of a Bengal cat varies from $650 to $800 and can reach as much as $2000. Needless to say, pet quality Bengal cats are comparatively less costly than show quality Bengal cats. Bengal Cat Breeders
Tumblr media
bengal cats pets Of all Bengal Cat Breeders, Jean Mill is definitely the most recognized and famous one, since it was her who created this unique breed, and to who the whole world owes the pleasure of contemplating these sweet little leopard cats. Bengal Cats look very similar to Wild Asian Leopards, as they carry their gene, but they are not wild by nature and are as good with humans as any other domestic cat. Bengal Cats enjoy home life, and they cannot imagine it without interaction with their loved ones. They are very strong and enduring cats and are quick to learn new things and tricks. Bengal Cats enjoy splashing about in water and are famous for the vocal characteristics that single them out from all other domestic cats. Besides their melodic meowing, they can give all sorts of trills, twitters, chirps and so on. They seem to have a much richer vocal language than most other domestic cats, although they are not extremely noisy. Bengal Cat Breeders can tell you all you want to know about the cat’s temperament so that you will see if this is the right cat for you. Many people have a biased attitude toward these cats because of their wild appearance and for fear of aggression. All purebred Bengal Cats of today are completely free from wild behaviors, being even more people-oriented than some most intelligent Oriental cat breeds. Bengal Cats are superb pets, and they never show unmotivated aggression. They enjoy being carried in the arms, and are good with strangers. Show cats are known to withstand over 100 handlings each day without a single growl or bite. If you would like to have a “miniature leopard” in your home but still have doubts about his temperament, it is high time for you to turn to an experienced and qualified Bengal Cat Breeder who will dispel all myths and misconceptions about this wonderful breed. Bengal Cats have a flexible and sturdy body formation. Their coat comes in spotted or marble patterns. There are quite many coat color patterns common to the Bengal Cat, and there are no two identical cats on the planet. However, all Bengal Cats bear a strong resemblance to the Wild Asian Leopard, as this is the reason why they were bred. Bengal Cats are the only felines whose coat has a unique pearl or gold dust sheen and notably soft texture. Bengal Cats are large domestic felines, weighing up to 20 lbs. These cats are capable of expressing their emotions in numerous fashions and can be either rambunctious or peaceful, depending on their mood. Bengal Cat Breeders take great care selling their cats to responsible and trustworthy people, who will not engage in unethical breeding or take to abusive or harsh handling.
Domestic Bengal Cat
The Domestic Bengal Cat is a unique breed of cats, which is not yet recognized by the Cat Fanciers’ Association (CFA), but it has a registry with the International Cat Association (TICA). Actually, the Bengal Cat is a hybrid cat that was created by crossing the wild Asian Leopard with a number of domestic breeds with the goat to create a “miniature” leopard with what can be termed as “absolutely domestic temperament”. Indeed, Bengal Cats, though they look definitely wild, are absolutely people oriented and show no more aggression than any other domestic feline. Domestic Bengal Cats possess a characteristic leopard-like appearance and are strongly reminiscent of their wild ancestors. They are sturdy and athletic, with hind-quarters a little higher than the front, and with a characteristic thick striped tail. The coat is spotted or marbled, and there are a number of coat patterns typical of the breed: Seal Marbled Lynx Point, Seal Mink Marbled Tabby, Seal Mink Spotted Tabby, and Seal Spotted Lynx Point, and so forth. The coat is very smooth and feels silky to the touch, and it has a unique pearl or gold dusting glitter. Bengal Cats have dark stripes extending from their eyes and going to the back of the neck. The Domestic Bengal Cat is a very intelligent and communicative feline. He is absolutely free of any unprovoked aggression and will love to keep you company in whatever job you are going to do. Bengal Cats are renowned for their sweet and loving temperament, as they have scores of ways of expressing their emotions. They seem to completely understand human language and can be trained to do a number of tricks. Many Bengal cats learn easily to open doors, turn on and off water taps, switch on and off a light, etc. They are particularly inquisitive about food. The Bengal Cat is one of the few felines that love water. The Bengal Cat is famous for his loud and melodic voice, as well as for a number of other unique, almost bird-like twittering and chirping sounds he can produce. Bengal Cats are not widely spread, and hence they are highly prized. If you feel like having one in possession, you must be ready to pay a large sum of money for a kitten. It is absolutely imperative that you purchase only from a reputable breeder and strictly follow his or her advice on how to properly care for this cat. The Domestic Bengal Cat is a very friendly and affectionate companion, but you must make sure all cats are well socialized and enjoy good care. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || ).push({});
Bengal House Cat
Tumblr media
Bengal cats The Bengal House Cat is a great pet, as he is not too demanding in terms of daily care. However, this is quite a rare and expensive breed of cats. The breed originated in the 1970s, by Jean Mill, who strove to develop a unique feline species with the size and temperament of a usual domestic cat and with the appearance of a leopard. In other words, the Bengal cat resulted from the addition of the gene of the Wild Asian Leopard to the domestic cat’s genetic pool. The Bengal cat was accepted as a breed in 1983 by the International Cat Association (TICA). However, the Cat Fanciers Association of the USA rejected the breed as most American organizations tend to be more suspicious about hybrid species. Today, there seem to be few reasons to fear behavioral problems in the Bengal Cats allegedly stemming from the Leopard’s gene, as these cats are more people-oriented and better lap companions than many old and reputed domestic cat breeds. Bengal House Cats of today are not sterile and are bred successfully. First crossings did produce sterile males, but Jean solved this problem by diversifying the animal’s genetic makeup. There are no sterile species in four-generation Bengal Cats. This wonderful breed attracts the attention of cat lovers all over the world by its exotic feline appearance. Their coat features characteristic jaguar-like patterns of rosette-shaped spots on the back and sides. There are distinctive dark lines extending from the eyes and then go backward. Bengal House Cats are large in size, weighing 10-20 lbs; males are larger than females. Bengal Cats come in spotted and marbled colors, which include the following: Seal Spotted Lynx Point and Seal Marbled Lynx Point, Seal Sepia Spotted Tabby and Seal Sepia Marbled Tabby, Seal Mink Spotted Tabby, Brown Spotted Tabby, Brown Marbled Tabby, and Seal Mink Marbled Tabby. Bengal Cats are increasingly popular in various parts of the world. With so many people showing interest in this breed, Bengal breeders and experts have realized the importance of preserving the purity of the cat’s gene pool. For this reason, responsible and reputable breeders tend to scrupulously check potential buyer’s personal qualities and opportunities in order to make sure they can handle them properly and keep them sound and healthy. Every buyer, in turn, must purchase kittens only from reputable breeders, who produce purebred kittens and breed for quality, not quantity. Purchasing from a responsible breeder will guarantee you a happy and funny life with your Bengal House Cat for years to come.
Bengal Cats - Temperament and Habits
Tumblr media
Bengal cats are said to make good pets as they are beautiful and spend much time with their owners. They like to play and often use their claws as hands. Supply them with a toy and see how they will catch and fetch it to you. However, they have retained some of the instincts peculiar for wild cats. They are good tree climbers, so supplying them with a tree is essential. They enjoy the water, which is not peculiar for most felines. Isn't this fact amazing? In fact, they will immediately start playing with water once the owners leave the shower on. Intelligent and playful, they make good companions for children and are generally good with other cats and dogs. Temperament depends much on the background of the Bengal cat. The greater the percentage of Asiatic Leopard blood, the wilder the pet cat is. It is recommended to buy Bengal cats that are removed at least three or four generations from the Asiatic Leopard. Otherwise, they can be hard to manage. Bengal cats make great show cats on the condition that they are well mannered. The standard accepts such behavior as restlessness and anxiety during a show. Yet, Bengal Cats that resist any examination and are unruly during a show should be disqualified. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hL44i4o3-gM (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || ).push({}); Follow us on : Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest Read the full article

The Ramcat Broadhead is 100-grain stainless steel (also available at 125-grain).
The head features a concave scoop at the tip, with the overall design being a hybrid of a chisel-tip broadhead and a cut-on-contact broadhead (read.. QAD Exodus Review).
It weighs in at just over two ounces, and its rear-sharpened blades are .032″ stainless steel.
The scoops create “air foil,” meaning when the arrow flies toward an intended target, the air is forced off the shaft and over the top of the fletching.
The air foil drastically reduces wind resistance, which allows the Ramcat Broadhead to fly straight and level toward the intended target.
The three back-cut blades that rotate off the chisel tip are arranged in an off-set pattern with razor-sharp beveled edges on all sides, making for a clean, deep wound channel upon impact.

As you can see, the Ramcat Broadhead embedded itself into the ballistics gel to an impressive depth. The broadhead itself remained intact, and what was more impressive was the deep yet consistent wound channel (read.. Swhacker 2 Blades).
After seeing this, we knew that all of the hunters who provided accounts of near-perfect pass-through shots were not exaggerating.
Those broadheads are accurate and deadly and almost fly like a fieldpoint. Make sure to be careful when unpacking or changing them.
They are extremely sharp on both sides of the blade. Make sure to tighten the little Allen bolts that hold the blades on.
Great accuarcy and penetration – produces substantial entrance and exit wounds. The blood trails should be easy to follow.
Summary
The verdict is that the dedicated folks over at Ramcat have produced another quality broadhead.
The amount of research put into the Ramcat Hydroshock Pivoting Broadhead design is nothing short of amazing.
