to, my dearest, my love, i hope you're doing well.

you've always been so hard on yourself.

i'm sorry that i didn't notice sooner, when we could've worked on it together. but i know, i know that you are not the monster you see yourself as. yes, you've made mistakes, just like all of us.

but you weren't given the same amount of love that everyone else was, and that's the only reason you did not know any better. you've worked so hard, and i hope you are working on accepting the love that is shown to you. your family loves you, your friends love you, your fans love you, but most of all, i love you.

i have always loved you. ever since the very first day. the first time we met, the first time i saw your eyes. those beautiful brown eyes. and even though you may not know it, your eyes told me a story.

a story about a young boy, a young boy who was so afraid, but so ready to take on the world, so ready to fulfill his dreams. i know you hated me initially for sending you away, far away from me. but i did that only because i saw your talent more than anyone else did. more than you did yourself. so it was only fair of me as your partner to make sure you shined bright.

you were always meant for the entertainment industry. so i sure hope you realized the drive behind my actions eventually. i hope you know it hurt me more than anything to let you go. but you had amazing things in life waiting for you. things way greater than what i could offer you. my only real regret is our last conversation being a fight. i hope i'd told you why i was encouraging you to leave me. that the opportunity was too good to let go. i wish my last words to you were "i adore you, so much". i wish i'd done a better job of letting you know you were loved. but i couldn't, and it doesn't matter anymore.

you know you're loved now. the entire world ensures you do. you know, every once in a while, i see you. on my television screen, on the cover of magazines at book stores, even in my phone gallery. you seem so close, but i know you're so far. throughout the course of my life, i have learned better than to delude myself into thinking i have a happy ending. and though we no longer stay in touch, allow me to say it once and for all.

hur hyunjoon, you made it! you are an amazing actor. a stunning model. a smooth, ferocious rapper. but most of all, you are my most precious dongsaeng. and i'm so incredibly proud of you.
