five had just walked out of a store, having gone shopping for a new retiree outfit to wear. something in him just wanted to try out a hawaiian shirt. they dawned the top unbuttoned with a tshirt underneath. they slid on sunglasses on their face as they walked out, even feeling kind enough to open the door for the person coming in. “great choice, this store will have everything you’re looking for.”

“what did you want?” five asked as he walked up to lila after they’d contacted him to meet up. five had explicitly made this new destination his retirement city and was officially off any supernatural business. though he didn’t mind meeting up with lila at all, he still liked to give her shit. “i was in the middle of spa time.”

“mom?” five was used to seeing his other siblings show up in these other timelines and while it was definitely a huge city to explore, he didn’t think he’d be seeing his mom around. especially not outside of their home. “what are you doing out here?”

five was strolling down the streets of dc, pina colada in his hands, when he’d seen his brother. “diego.” he’d said with a simple nod his head, though he wasn’t sure how long its been since they’ve seen each other. they’ve been through this song and dance many times and while five had been in dc for quite a bit of time, it could’ve been a second since the other had seen him. “about time you got here.” he’d said with one hand tucked into his pocket.

five shrugged at the comment. he was already a shell of a person so what did it matter if anyone else attempted to make it worse. "i say this with the utmost sincerity. i would like to see you try."

five took a moment to look around clearly confused by what he was seeing. they’d been drinking half the day so they wondered if they’d started imagining things. “am i high too?”
