Good morning!  I hope you slept well and feel rested?  Currently sitting at my desk, in my study, attired only in my blue towelling robe, enjoying my first cuppa of the day.  Happy Hump Day!

Very sad to hear about the death of Philip ‘Daddae’ Harvey, brother to Marie Harvey-Harris and Christopher L. Harvey, and one of the original members of the Soul II Soul sound system, a massively influential group of DJs that entertained London’s clubbers long before Soul II Soul the group. 

Having escaped jail, Huw Edwards is now free to retire on a £300,000 a year pension funded by the taxpayer.  We’ve got single mothers in jail for shoplifting nappies.  We’ve got peaceful protestors in jail for protesting peacefully.  Two-tier justice.  Two-tier society.  One rule for the rich, one rule for the poor.  The most disgraceful thing of all is that Huw Edwards played the ‘poor mental health’ card to get his sentence reduced, as if ‘poor mental health’ makes you trade pictures of children being sexually abused.

I saw an amazing video on TikTok the other day.  A guy has created a business support group.  A flash mob of people that support struggling businesses.  They discovered a cool shop was struggling (and about to go out of business), so he and his group all descended on the shop and spent a ton of money.  Could we do the same?  As a group of supportive, soulful people, could we do the same?  What do you think?  Good idea?  So, as a group, we nominate a shop or business that we think could do with some support and then, on a specific day, at a specific time, we all descend on them and spend a few quid?  What do you think?  Could it work?
