While you're both part of the Scout Regiment, Levi tries to keep your relationship low-key and professional during missions or training. But his icy exterior melts a bit whenever he sneaks glances your way, letting a rare softness shine through.

The other scouts giggle and make bets on when their hardass Captain will finally propose. Levi overhears and shuts it down with a single death glare - though later that night he surprises you by getting down on one knee.

After the difficult decision to leave the scouts to start a family, Levi is an absolute clean freak about baby-proofing your home. He triple checks for any potential hazards like it's scouting enemy territory.

Despite his blunt manner, Levi goes misty-eyed the first time he holds his newborn child. You catch him tenderly nuzzling their tiny button nose while humming an old lullaby his own mother used to sing.

He may be pint-sized, but don't underestimate Levi's overprotective papa bear mode. He glowers down any strangers who so much as look at his baby funny while out in public.

At the same time, Levi melts into an adorably awkward pile of mush whenever his kid learns a new skill like crawling or talking. He'll play peek-a-boo for hours just to hear that baby laughter.

On hard days, coming home to his family is Levi's slice of paradise. He cherishes read-aloud time where his little one snuggles into his lap, already falling asleep to the soothing baritone of daddy's voice.

Sometimes you wake in the middle of the night to find Levi's side of the bed empty...only to discover him swaying in the nursery, cradling your restless baby close while humming that same lullaby.

It was cleaning day in the Ackerman's household.

"Great job you two!" You said as you pat your children's head. The twins just finished wiping the windows by themselves.

Looking at you three, your husband Levi Ackerman stopped vacuuming and walks towards you. He bowed so his head is at your eye level and says nothing.

"Levi?" You're confused by your husband's gesture.

"Papa wants a head pat too!" Your daughter points out. Your 5 year old son nodded in agreement.

You wondered how your twins could figure that out easily. You smiled to yourself before giving Levi a headpat he deserved as well (and a kiss on his cheek, for no reason other than to see your husband blushed).

You still can’t believe your own luck. After all those years you endured this merciless war underneath the surface, all those years you prayed for your beloved husband to come back. And now he’s sitting next to you in the dim candle light far past midnight while reading through a tower of papers. And you simply cannot bring yourself to let go of him.

How are you supposed to ever let him go again when last time, you didn’t see him for years after?

“You should go to sleep, love. It was a long day”, he gently murmurs into your hair.

Looking up at him through sleep-deprived wet lashes still seems like a dream. Just the feeling of his warmth pressed against yours, his tight biceps between your eager arms, his minty smell you remember oh so well. It really seems like nothing changed.

But the look on his face tells you otherwise. Those dark circles that get enhanced by the dim moonlight don’t lie as well as the worry lines that now decorate his face. There is absolutely no doubt in the fact that Levi went through a lot without you. Your heart clenches uncomfortably inside your chest, arms holding onto him even tighter.

“I was wondering…If you’d mind sharing a bed with me…”, you mutter.

Why on earth are you acting so shy right now? The man sitting next to you is your husband, after all.

Levi lays the paper he just read through aside, hand lifting your chin up ever so gently.

“I don’t remember when I last slept a night, (y/n)”, he admits while putting strands of hair behind your ear mindlessly.

"It seems like I forgot how it works the day I lost you."

Your heart drops to the floor, eyes wavering in nothing but grief. What did he go through without you by his side, what horror did his grey eyes see? Out of instinct, you put your hand into his nape, draw his lips even closer to yours until they finally meet in a tender kiss.

“Let me show you how it’s done, then”, you whisper against his softness before you lift yourself up.

The air in the room around you seems to sparkle while your hand guides him to the plain single bed standing in the middle of the room. Countless nights, you imagined the love of your life back by your side. Countless nights, you tried to remember what his body feels like pressed against yours, his soft breath caressing your cheek every morning.

You let yourself fall onto the hard mattress, the bed not giving in an inch by your weight. Levi soon follows behind, his now dark eyes glued to your face.

“You can’t imagine how much I missed this. Since the day I had to leave you behind, I didn’t allow myself to fall asleep without holding you between my arms when I wake up.”

You feel like crying and giggling at the same time, a sad smile decorating your lips. Oh, how much you missed your husband, how much you longed for sharing a bed with him again.

“But now you can. Trust me when I say I’ll never leave your side again. No matter what. Even if you push me away.”

Oh, how good it feels to press your head against his firm chest, his steady heartbeat making you feel like home.

“I would never push you away, (y/n).”

He wraps his arms around your shoulders and waist gently, pushes you even closer against his inviting body. For the first time since you finally got your husband back, you allow your eyes to rest, to take a break from constantly gazing at him.

Slowly but surely, you feel his steady breath against your forehead, how his firm muscles relax around you just before you yourself get consumed by darkness.

What a bittersweet and tender night it is, finally sharing the same bed with your husband after longing for him countless nights.

Levi pinched the bridge of his nose wearily, feeling the telltale throb of an impending migraine pounding against his skull.

You were at it again - defiant arms folded tightly, bottom lip jutting out in that infuriatingly bratty pout he'd recognize anywhere.

"Don't give me that childish look right now, you stubborn little brat." He growled lowly, leaden eyes boring into your indignant glare.

"I'm already in no mood for your usual antics after dealing with those incompetent morons in the field all day."

You scoffed audibly, canting your head to one side as long strands spilled over a bare shoulder.

"Well excuse me for being born with a spine and healthy dose of self-respect, Captain. Unlike some of those spineless lapdogs dangling after your every whim."

Levi's jaw flexed visibly, mercurial temper spiking dangerously at your snide implication. In three strides, he'd closed the distance separating you - muscular frame now looming mere inches separating your contrasting forms.

Close enough for you to detect his clean, earthy musk intermixing with familiar notes of black tea and steel.

"Tread very carefully with whatever smart-mouth bullshit you think you're about to spew next, brat." Levi murmured almost inaudibly.

Yet the scorching intensity laced behind those softly uttered syllables brooked absolutely zero rebuttal.

His towering presence was suffocating - practically enveloping your more diminutive frame like a silk tourniquet steadily tightening around your windpipe.

You found your cocky facade instinctively fracturing as Levi's unyielding dominance flooded every receptor with electrifying undercurrents of shivery awareness.

Yet a petulant flicker of defiance obstinately refused extinguishing no matter how intimidating his aura radiated outwards.

So instead of submitting with instant contrition like any sane person, you leaned upwards - eliminating that final breathless sliver separating your noses with one pointed tilt of your chin.

"Make me, old man." You taunted, voice a husky murmur dripping with insouciant dismissal as foreheads brushed together. "Unless putting mouthy, disrespectful underlings in their place is truly beyond the great Captain's abilities these days."

For several heartbeats, only the harsh rasp of your mingled breathing filled the dense silence enveloping your conjoined frames. Then before any reactions sparked into action -

Levi grabbed your face with one hand with bruising force. Yet the accompanying look of dark, undisguised hunger ravaging his flinty features dispelled any implications of fresh hostilities escalating further.

Because you recognized that particular glint flickering within his blown pupils very intimately indeed.

Somehow anticipating occurred first, your ankles instinctively latched around Levi's hips just as he gripped beneath your thighs and effortlessly hoisted you upwards.

Until you found yourself pinned flush against the corridor's adjacent wall with a solid thump audible doors away.

A dangerous little smirk slowly inched across his face as Levi ground his hardening arousal into your pelvis without preamble.

However, his next gruff words all but growled past those thin, quirked lips nevertheless.

"I'll give you precisely what this filthy little mouth has been begging for all evening, brat - whether you can take every unforgiving inch properly remains to be seen."

Mother's day things Levi and your baby do for you

Levi puts paint on your baby's hands and feet, then presses them against paper so you get prints of their tiny hands and feet.

Levi would bake a cake and make sure frosting is perfectly on it. He would give your baby the sprinkles tube and get them to shake it like a rattle.

They'd paint cups together so you get a teacup. If your child is very small then Levi would get them to put a handprint on the cup.

Levi would tell your baby about how incredible you are and how good you are as a mother.

Levi would help them pick out flowers for you.

He would help them cook and bake something special for you.

He'd help them plan a big day out for you so you get spoiled.

If you're pregnant and not had the baby yet, Levi would still get you a card and a present and he'd say the baby and him talked about what to get you.

Fall Levi headcannons.

a/n: self explanatory, just a couple headcannons about how Levi acts around fall, because it’s my favorite season and he’s my favorite man.

✧ Fall is Levi’s favorite season, behind winter.

✧ One reason he loves fall is because all of his clothes are finally in season. This is a man who’s closet consists of nothing but sweaters, jeans, and darks. (Though he is confused when you tell him he has a “fall color palette.”)

✧ He also loves it because his feed of tiktoks (which you forced him to download) is filled with thousands of videos of those cute fall recipes he knows you love.

✧ He also enjoys the smells of fall, especially apples, rain, and pumpkin.

✧ He also really likes, as cheesy as it sounds that fall shows that change is okay and that it can be beautiful in some instances.

✧ Now he doesn’t enjoy you covering your guys whole apartment in fall stuff, he can’t walk ten feet with out being bombarded by orange, leaves, and the la la la’s from gilmore girls.

✧ He also HATES all those sappy romantic fall themed movies you make him watch, like when harry met sally, love actually, and he despises hallmark movies. Though he doesn’t mean gilmore girls or you’ve got mail. Though he’ll never tell you.

✧ He also HATES craving pumpkins. He hates the mess they make, how you can only display them for like a week, and that you waste like a 40 dollar pumpkin for a wonky smile.

✧ He also doesn’t like those stupid hay rides that everyone does, he’s touching the person next to him, the hay is itchy and dirty, and the tracker pulling all as well.

✧ Though he doesn’t mind smaller fall markets, he can enjoy a small fall themed farmers market on a nice day, pick up some soap, treats, and a few little gifts for you. He also gets a lot of stares from woman at those markets.

✧ He is also of course your designated tote bag holder.
