Lesson learnt.

A persons real identity is revealed when you stop giving them everything they want. To judge your intentions, I stopped being there for you and you left me without hesitation. You moved on to find someone new.

I regret putting your needs before mine,

I still love you. I left you because I could feel myself slowly hating you for the way you treated me. I left because I was afraid that the love I have for you would slowly disappear. You made feel unloved but I couldn't do the same to you. I couldn't bare the thought of not loving you. I rather love you from a distance then to be in your arms and feel nothing.

How can you say that you love me,

Yet you are comfortable hurting me.

I don't understand how can you just move on from someone, as if they meant nothing to you.

How do you let go of someone who you; imagined a life with, dreamt of walking down the aisle with and planned on having a child with.

As I stare into the mirror,

Slowly everything starts to get clearer.

I wonder why you treated me the way you did,

Like I am some object you want to get rid.

You do things that made my heart burn,

I would never wish you the same pain in return.

You asked me why I look sad,

Because loving you is all I had.

I hate that you give me false hope,

I hate that you take advantage of kindness,

I hate that I need you despite of what you did,

I hate that you make me feel unlovable,

I hate that no matter what you do, I can't hate you.

I alone in this dark space.

As I am questioning the purpose of my existence,

I feel tempted to give up on this life.

How easy it would be to leave this pain behind.

It's becoming difficult to hold back the tears every day,

How much more longer can I hide the suffering inside???

Hide my tears from my face,

I know my eyes gives it all away,

But I keep telling lies to keep them off my case.

I have earned your love yet you make me feel worthless.

I deserve to be appreciated yet you laugh at my efforts,

Your comments about my figure makes me feel insecure,

You disregard all that I have compromised and demand things to always be your way.

You say that you love me yet you do things that show me otherwise.

Tell me how can I trust you when I do not even believe in your love.
