I was 8 years old and heard "Take on me" and was hooked. The first cassette I ever bought was "Hunting high and low" with a-ha. I had lots of posters on my wall with them and was a real fan for a while. I think a-ha has made many strong pop songs through the years, but I am not listening to them that much now.
This song is a little annoying but reminds me of some happy times in my childhood. :-)

Lyrics:
Here I am
And within the reach of my hands
She's sound asleep and she's sweeter now
Than the wildest dream could have seen her
And I watch her slipping away
Though I know I'll be hunting high and low...high...
There's no end to the lengths I'll go to
Hunting high and low...high...
There's no end to the lengths I'll go
To find her again
Upon this my dreams are deppending
Through the dark
I sense the pounding of her heart
Next to mine
She's the sweetest love I could find
So I guess I'll be hunting high and low...high...
There's no end to the lengths I'll go to high and low...high...
Do you know what means to love you ?
I'm hunting high and low
And now she's telling me she's got to go away
Songwriter:
I'll always be hunting high and low
Hungry for you
Watch me tearing myself to pieces
Hunting high and low...high...
There's no end to the lengths I'll go to
Oh, for you I'll be hunting high and low

I know I'll sound like grandma, but.
Music used to be magical. It used to touch you so so deep. It would imprint on you. So deep that you would remember the words 15 years later.
Why have we lost it? How?

Stratovarius - Hunting High and Low (live)
Posting live versions of songs I will be playing at an upcoming show with my group music lesson. This is song 10 of 12.
I picked this song because I used to watch Kenny Omega wrestling live in bars in the early 2000s and this was his entrance music at the time.

Lecture 17: Top 10 Iconic Eighties Music Videos: #7: “Take On Me” by A-ha (1985). Wait a minute!?!? A Norwegian band? Damn. You don’t see many of those in History 105! Formed in Oslo in 1982, the New Wave band A-ha really hit it big in 1985 with their album titled Hunting High and Low, which featured “Take On Me,” one of those period-defining songs that also produced an unforgettable - and, at the time, very innovative - music video. During the summer of 1985, many movie theaters in the United States showed “Take On Me” right before the smash hit Michael J. Fox time-travel blockbuster Back to the Future, which helped to greatly raise the song’s – and the band’s – profile.
